What's up man, how you doing?
Killer, I'm doing good, man.
What's going on?
Good things, man.
Here we go.
All good things.
What is Mike doing?
Let's take a look.
Let's take a look.
Mike, where you at?
Yeah, let me do it again.
Mike got the Levehill, New Jersey on.
What are you doing?
I can hear you now.
Mike, where you at?
Say what?
Where you at?
I'm at the airport. What do you mean? I got a flight in about an hour.
See, this is the shit that get me mad, Mike.
I'm going to be honest with you.
Jerry Jones got you flying commercial after all these damn years you put in for the Cowboys,
man.
You should send that jet for you this late.
Look.
The air don't have these flying commercials.
Yeah. Jesse Jones. You pushed the order. You don't have any fly commercial. Yeah. I'm driving.
Jesse Jones.
You pushed, you pushed on.
You pushed the line.
You should have sent the jet for you this late.
Ain't no way you should be flying commercial this late,
Mike.
You put too much work in pushing
that organization forward, man.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You know, I promise you, I guarantee you,
if I wanted that jet from Jerry, he would send it.
I guarantee you, if he send it,
I'ma still get on the regular flight plane.
I just do.
Real nigga shit, huh?
I told y'all, I don't fly private, darling.
Especially post-COVID, PK, I call that PK.
Don't even try.
Why not, why not, Mike?
My anxieties are so bad now, I can't do it.
I just can't do it. Seriously.
Like, a guy that owns the biggest RV dealership,
Fun Town, right? My guy, Jared.
He owns three or four planes.
He'll send them all the time for me.
He'll say, Mike, take my plane.
He'll send the plane.
I promise you, I'll walk on the plane.
I said, I'm getting over this.
I'll go towards that plane.
I'll start sweating so much hard, dog. I'm getting over this. I'll go towards that plane. I'll start sweating so mug hard, dog.
I'm gonna get it.
Whoof.
I turn around and go get on Southwest Airlines.
Man.
Southwest.
That's like musical chairs.
I'll take Southwest before I go private, dog.
I'll take Southwether.
You know how much money I've lost
because I won't take private planes overnight and stuff like that? I mean, I just said, weg. I'll take South Web. You know how much money I've lost because I won't take private planes overnight
and stuff like that?
I mean, I just say we gotta kill the deal.
We just gotta kill the deal.
I'm not doing it.
I just can't do it, man.
I can't do it.
Well, I respect and I ain't mad at you.
And wait, and the last time I did do it,
let me tell you.
The last time I did do it,
I think it was the Mayweather-McGregor fight, right?
But I had to get back to work.
And my guy, my guy John, who owns the plane,
we get on the plane, I said, man,
it's a quick flight right back to LA
so I can work Sunday morning.
Dude, I get on the plane and we hit,
you know, coming out of Vegas,
how you hit all that turbulence,
you know, coming out of Vegas?
Oh, in a whole while, he's saying,
oh Michael, you scared?
You scared?
And I'm like stop playing, dawg.
Oh, I wanted to, oh, I wanted to,
oh, I just fucked your mother.
It's so bad.
I wanted to hurt them.
I wanted to hurt them so bad.
I told the dude, I'd never do it again.
Whoever.
I heard that.
Hey, listen man, I, listen,
I fly commercial most of the time as well.
I'm not sitting here down in commercial whatsoever.
I'm more commercial 85% of the time.
But Kenneth Copeland would say you in the two
with them demons right now, man.
Whatever that is.
Whatever that is.
All the jokes, those jokes are slimy,
probably lame, like, you can't be out all night. Not me. That's what Kenneth Copeland say. You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? I can't get in the tube with them demons, man. That's crazy. He said he got fly around the world.
He can't do that, man.
OK, well, let's get started.
It never amazes me, man.
Oh, that was crazy.
This is going on with Kenner said, man.
I'll be in the tube with them demons according to him, too.
I'm going to Kenner Copeland.
OK, let's get started.
Let's get into our NFL predictions.
Mace, you are still in the lead.
I am keeping tally.
You got nine out of the 11 games that I gave out correct.
So let's see if it will change next week
as we talk about more games.
What did Mike get?
He got five out of 11.
I'm doing better than Mike?
You are.
Mike, what's going on?
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
The expert, Mike, the expert.
I heard Dion the other day said that,
you know, they haven't seen me in Tidal Town,
but the numbers speak for themselves, you know?
Wait, I'm just saying though, for me though,
for me now, for me now, remember now,
I'm the new kid in the school
You're good, Mike. I like that, I like that.
Yeah, I'm trying to make new friends.
I like that.
Okay, so it's Thursday Night Football.
The Patriots are playing the Jets.
First, are you guys excited to watch this game?
And then how do you guys predict this game to go?
Remember, I am keeping count,
so hopefully you get the right prediction.
But Mike, what are you thinking?
I am excited to watch this game.
Uh-oh, y'all may hear hear that because this is just real life situations.
Let me apologize.
Nah, you good guy.
What it shows is my dedication to the show.
Yeah.
I'm a big guy, no matter what.
I'm ready to leave.
I'm a shy, I'm a show up.
I like that.
I like that.
I like that.
I like that.
I like that.
I like that.
I like that.
I like that.
I like that.
I like that. I like that. I like that. I like that. I'm out of what? A range? Leave?
I'm gonna shine?
I'm gonna show up.
Yeah.
I like that.
I like that.
Thank you for being here, Mike.
But hey, seriously, guys, seriously, guys, I am excited about this.
Think about how we looked at this at the beginning of the year.
You know, since Bill Belichick left, Jirard Mayo was left with a bare cupboard.
And then they win week one, you know what I'm saying?
They play hard in week two.
So I'm looking forward to what happens here
against the Jets.
It's an old rivalry and the Patriots owned the Jets.
They were like, you know, just owned them.
So it's time now to see what the Jets can do.
They finally got their quarterback.
I can't wait.
I saw something in that offense towards the end
of that game last week.
I want to see if it picks up this week with the Jets.
So you're going with the Jets?
Yeah, I'm going with the Jets to win that game.
I'm going with the Jets.
And dude, let me tell you one thing. One thing, man. The the Jets to win that game. I'm going with the Jets. And, and, and, dude, let me tell you one thing.
One thing, Mase.
The Jets have to win this game because they have been
honked, chunked, pulled to bear forever by Bill Belichick
and the Patriots.
Now Bill's gone.
And all you ever said all your life is we had a quarterback.
So they had Tom Brady and you had none.
And now you got a quarterback and they got no, you gotta win this game.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You put that right.
I think the jets definitely win this game.
I'm almost, I'm almost certain.
I don't want to say I'm certain, but I'm almost certain 99.9 bar over the nine
that the jets will win this, especially with the running back that they got in
breeze, he should do have an exceptional game and you know, the jets got to
contain the wire, um, the running back for the Patriots if they want to win this
game, I think if they do that, they got a pretty clear road to victory.
I'm excited to see the game. I think if they do that, they got a pretty clear road to victory. I'm excited to see the game.
I missed the victory last week,
so I didn't see Aaron Rodgers really play that well.
Week one he was,
I guess he was shaking some of the rust off.
So I'm excited to see the game.
The Patriots shocked me and actually won their first game
the first week of the season.
So we got two teams, one and one.
And yeah, and you were saying that Mike, it was a rivalry.
I don't really consider it a rivalry.
They won two years out the whole time Tom Brady was there
talking about the Jets,
when Rex Ryan was coaching and all that.
And they had the butt fumble and all that shit.
The Jets is embarrassing, my nigga.
But I don't think that they're gonna win.
I mean.
You remember?
Yeah, yeah.
You remember when Rex Ryan came,
Rex Ryan used to always talk about,
when he was the head coach,
we're not kissing in any rings.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, Rex Ryan.
We're playing the golf, all the stuff.
And for those few years with Rex and Mark Sanchez,
they gave New England fixed.
But outside of that, New England spanked their ass.
They had two good seasons.
Two good seasons.
They beat the, it was two.
Now what Rex Ryan does, now look,
Rex Ryan comes from a great football family.
From his brother to his father,
he comes from a great football family,
but you know what Rex Ryan is?
Rex Ryan, as a coach, he's Hulk Hogan, he's Randy Savage.
He's these boxers that tell you
he gonna knock niggas out, don't knock niggas out.
He knows how to sell it.
That's where Rex Ryan is good at,
and he used to pump the New York fans up so much.
They would be so excited to a point
where I'm not a judge fan, but I used to be watching like,
hmm, I like the way this nigga talking.
Maybe they do got a chance.
And then one year they actually beat the Patriots.
And they won the division, I believe.
I'm not sure if they won division
or they got further than the Patriots,
twice, it actually happened twice.
Out of the 20 years that they were there.
But I don't consider that a rivalry, Mike.
And at the end of the day, am I excited to see this game?
Yeah, I am excited to see this game more for Aaron Rodgers
because I missed him last week.
And it seems like he's probably gonna get better
week to week because of the long layoff that he had
because of injury or whatever else.
And then after a rough loss to the Falcons,
the Eagles will be heading to New Orleans
to play the Saints.
Mike, what's your prediction for this game?
Man, I am, and you know, they got the Saints favorite in this game and
that was man and you guys heard what happened about what happened after
the Eagles lost, right?
The head coach didn't even did not dress the team only the quarterback addressed
the team after the after the loss. So the head coach didn't go in the locker room.
I've never had that where the head coach did come in the locker room after a loss,
especially after a loss where people will be saying, why did you make that call?
You know, so so so that was interesting.
But what I believe it was, was a semi-quasi-players-only meeting.
And think about this, you're doing that after the second game of the season?
You know what I mean?
So that means to me that they're worried about whatever got in the way last year.
They want to make sure it don't creep back in and they go on another losing streak.
That's why they tried to address it as a team.
I'm still taking the Saints to win this game.
Mike you you coming home pause.
That's really good for you.
I like I like to see you join me in title town because I was going to say the same thing.
The Saints is the team that's gonna win.
I think they're a pretty good team on both sides
of the ball pause.
And I think, you know, with this team,
that when you look at the Saints team,
their offense is rolling.
I don't think that Philadelphia is gonna beat them at all.
I think Philadelphia is gonna have an upset season.
beat them at all. I think Philadelphia is going to have an upset season.
Um, I'm gonna go with the Saints, but I'm not, I'm not going to be surprised that Philadelphia won this game. Philadelphia is supposed to win that
game last week. You gotta think about this, uh, Saquon Barkley drops a pass.
And that's probably what you're talking about, Mike, if they would have ran the
ball, it might've been a touchdown, but instead the play call by the coach or
the office coordinator caused them
to not get the touchdown.
Ended up getting three points
and probably mattered to defense more than the play called
because you let the defense let Kirk Cousins
walk up the field and score a touchdown
and you couldn't stop a nosebleed that day.
So at the end of the day,
it wasn't just about Saquon not catching the ball.
It wasn't just about the offensive coordinator
maybe not calling the right play.
But your defense let these guys walk up the field
and I think that's more detrimental than the play call
or not catching the pass.
So the way that the Saints been putting points up
on the board this year looks like their offense
is explosive.
So I'm gonna go with the Saints,
but I wouldn't say it's a Philly's trash
are gonna have a bad season.
I just think that some bad things happen.
And when you say the coach didn't go in the locker room,
sometime in this early in the season,
sometime in basketball, right?
You see a team going, Popovich does this a lot.
I'm a few players, a few coaches I used to do it.
When the game just started and they get up four zero
and they'd be like, time out.
Before it even, a minute didn't even pass in the game.
They're like, and your coach be like, don't start this shit.
Do not even start this shit
because they see niggas playing lack of days of goal.
And it's not the same thing in football.
But this one of these situations,
you better tell them something before I do.
That's how I'm taking the coach not coming in the room.
But we'll see what happens.
But I'm not gonna put that loss last week on Philly
and throw them under the bus already.
That would have been great to get a jump on the division
being that the Cowboys had lost,
but I'm not gonna throw them under the bus this year.
But I am going with the Saints for this game.
Yeah, before we move on.
Cam, wait, Cam, Cam, Cam, Cam, wait, hold on.
Cam, Cam, listen, man, listen, listen, listen.
I don't appreciate you.
I know you probably got me on whatever,
but it sounds just like I sounded on the other show.
Oh, man, here we go.
Oh, no.
I was just taking the tape, rewind it, I didn't see your other show, here we go. I was just taking a take, rewind it.
I didn't see your other show, Mike.
Yeah.
You put other show on this?
Plagiarism, Mike.
What show you talking about?
On this show or your other show?
I said the exact same thing.
Well, on this show or your other show?
On the other show.
I didn't see the other show, man.
Oh, no, no, you think I'm spying on you?
Laze yourself.
Spying.
I didn't see the other show, no disrespect.
But listen, if great minds think of like, you know,
it is what it is.
If I'm thinking like number 88, the playmaker,
it is what it is.
But hey, listen, man, I respect that I am thinking like you,
cause listen, I'm not going to even say
and act like I got as much knowledge as you.
You know what makes me smart?
Bringing you on the show.
Cause you have knowledge.
That's what makes me smart.
Because I know you have way more football knowledge
than I do.
Listen, Pam, you saying so much.
Like, what they were doing,
I ain't got no problem with that play.
I thought that was a great play they ran.
A great play.
Because, think about it,
once they got him on that outside, man,
he was supposed to turn and run and go and block
if he didn't catch the ball, if his guy was too close.
And the guy wasn't too close, it was a perfect throw,
he just dropped the ball.
They want to solidify to the rest of the locker room,
our stars can win games so they can have more hope.
That's why they ran at that play, it just didn't work.
I was with you, stop talking about the coach,
stop talking about Saquon Barkley.
Negro, y'all had a defense that went on the field after that.
Right, exactly.
And that went down. Exactly. That went down.
Exactly.
That's what I was talking.
Hey, Kirk Cousin, who was 3-10 on Monday night football,
had never really won a big prime time game,
walked the dog in a minute and 34, in a minute and 5.
A minute and 5, walked the dog.
Now that was the issue.
That was the issue.
But they look good.
Atlanta look good.
Yeah.
And now that you finished your point, I was going to say that I believe that
another reason the Saints will win is because they're running a ball as good as
anybody in the football league right now.
So even though they got to say corner, I feel like the Saints are running the ball as good
as any other team out there.
Yeah, it'd be interesting to see if they run like that against Philly. Philly got a better
defensive line, I think, than Dallas right now. So now the question would be, if Philly
can shut down their own, can Derek Carr play that Joe Montana,
Steve Young Troy Aikman style football?
I ain't never seen him play before.
He just decided to play against Dallas.
You see what I'm saying?
If he can do that again, then yeah,
they'll have a chance, but if he can't,
Philly can steal this game.
Good takes.
Okay, Sunday the Chargers will play the Steelers.
Both teams are two and oh.
Who do you guys believe is taking that game?
That's one of the games I'm most excited about.
I know people say, well, why would you do that?
They're not throwing the ball all over the field
because I'm one of them hard jokers.
You know what I mean?
Just flat out roll hard, man.
And I like physical, tough football,
and that's what you're about to get.
Who, the Chargers, they're changing over their mentality
to being physical.
But they are running into mentality physical.
It ain't no change. This is what Mike Tumlin
and the Pittsburgh Steelers are.
I'm taking the Steelers.
They only, I think it's plus one and a half or something like that.
It's going to be a close game, but I'm taking the stills.
Yeah, I think this this entire studio is biased on the stiller,
so I'm going to join the biasness.
I know status over a kick in my leg talking about stillers.
I better join the stillers.
So I'm I'm going to kind of go with this right here.
You know.
Why we get mad?
Why we get mad at white folks
when they support other white folks like that
and we can just openly say that about another brother.
We just gonna do that by my tongue.
You know what I'm saying?
We just gonna be that way about my tongue.
Yeah, I like the Steelers pass rush defense
and the secondary.
And I think if they force the Chargers to throw the ball,
it should be a pretty good game
that they should be able to win pretty easily too.
And Mike, I'm in agreement with you.
This is probably the most exciting game
that I want to see on Sunday. I'm really agreement with you. This is probably the most exciting game that I wanna see on Sunday.
I'm really, really excited about seeing this
because more than the players,
I'm fans of both the coaches.
I'm not just a fan of Mike Thompson.
I love Harbaugh as well.
You know, I really fuck with that nigga.
I fuck with Harbaugh hard, pause.
And I like what he's doing.
And I was always implementing even in Michigan,
even before that at San Francisco, he's a players coach.
And the way he got them guys moving, you're not even,
last year we wasn't thinking about the Chargers
making any moves and it's still early to see
if they're gonna make any moves.
But I really like the way that they're moving
because he hasn't really even unleashed Justin Herbert yet.
Like they're running the ball so good,
he's almost got Justin Herbert
like a game manager right now.
That nigga is one of the top five, in my opinion,
quarterbacks in the NFL.
And he hasn't even used him to his full capabilities,
pause, just yet.
I can't even pick a winner right now.
I'm just excited to see this game.
And like I said, them fans are both coaches,
to be totally honest with you.
Okay, and then I do want to add,
there's actually a little injury.
So Justin Herbert is listed with an ankle injury
for practice, but he told Harbaugh he's feeling better.
So we'll see if we see signs of that in the game.
Hopefully not, because we want to see a good game,
but we won't know till Sunday.
Okay, Mike, got to talk about your Cowboys.
They're going to play the O and two Ravens.
Is this their game to win?
Man, this would be the perfect time
for them to just start talking real loud over the intercom and not.
I'm not. I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. and the Ravens will work to be strong, and that's running the ball, and what you saw last week in running the ball.
I just don't see how the Cowboys can rally up
and stop them from running the ball.
So then, I gotta turn
and lay it, swelling on the back of my boys,
four and 88,
because it's going to have to be one of the most incredible
88 type games to take over this game.
One of the games that I put up when I dropped them
for about two, 10 and three touches.
That's what I need out of it.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm real worried about you. I'm just saying. You know, that's what I need.
I know you don't think, I know you don't think CD no more going to duplicate that, but I mean, this is wishful thinking.
Um, when you think about the Ravens, they're probably, this is, this is going
to be a close game because I think both of them need to win this game desperately and um
But I think with lamar jackson
Oh and three is oh and three will be it'll be it'll be
Armageddon in baltimore after you went to afc championship game. Yeah starting oh and three
And I just don't know if the cowboys players
Can meet and beat that
kind of fire when they get it, when they see it.
You see what I mean?
I don't know if they can get to that place, you know, to meet and beat that kind
of fire. And that's what I'm worried about.
Yeah. And, and, um,
I don't think they're going to let they get to 0 and 3 because we was talking
about that days previously about how when you start off 0 3 and I know killer said with so much football to go that a team could
still rally back from that. But that's a, that's a rough beginning,
especially like you said,
when you was just so close to winning a winning a super bowl or getting to the
super bowl, however you want to say it. But when it comes to,
you were saying something when it comes to the the Super Bowl, however you want to say it. But when it comes to, you were saying something? When it comes to the Ravens, I just think Lamar Jackson
is going to be too much with the passing
and with the running and Derrick Henry
is just going to be too much.
Everybody's going to come to play
and they're going to win the game.
I'm going to go with the Ravens.
I think I agree with you, Mike.
If you, that town ain't gonna have it.
They're gonna be really upset.
They're already mad at these niggas
for doing podcasts and everything else.
So if they end up losing this game,
this is gonna be really bad.
0-2 and 0-3 is a really big difference.
So I hope that they don't lose
for the sake of the fans in Baltimore,
not just for the sake of the fans in Baltimore,
for the Baltimore Ravens,
because that's a tough city when y'all niggas are not winning,
especially when they're used to having success
early in the season,
like you guys have been having in the past.
Dallas, I don't fuck with them.
You already know what time it is, Mike.
You're the only cowboy that I'm cool with.
You and Deon, man.
That's about it.
I don't care about none of them cowboys,
except for you and Deon, man. That's about it. I don't care about none of them cowboys except for you and Deon, that's about it.
And my man Bill Parcells, you know he from Jersey,
when Bill was out there, I fucked with Bill Parcells,
you know, your Jersey guy, so I gotta mess with Bill.
Outside of that, I ain't got no faith
with none of y'all since 95, baby.
Every week I'm pickin' against y'all.
I don't care if y'all play the North Carolina Panthers, every week I am going
against the Cowboys, bro.
So I can't wait till y'all to get spanked this Sunday.
Pause.
Even if they play the Panthers, you're going against them.
That's how bad the niggas lucky is.
One of those games, I believe, that CD just bust out.
Remember now he missed all the training camp so now this
third game he rose into hopefully him and that the kind of spot the kind of place and play like we
need them to play because they're the catalyst for this football team that only hope we got
against Baltimore but that Baltimore defense hadn't played like the Baltimore defense from last year. So so maybe you try to attack that.
Man, I wish the Ravens win for the sake of the podcast.
They did try it.
Yeah, they did.
So now they got it for sure.
OK, we got two more games that we're going to talk about.
Texans versus Vikings is also on Sunday.
This is the second pairing of two and no teams competing against each other aside from the
Steelers versus the Chargers.
Mike, who wins this game?
The Texans or the Vikings?
Well, I got the Texans winning this football game.
I just think the Texans look so good right now and they have minimally used Stefan Diggs.
Nico Collins has been just killing everybody right now.
So they still got weapons that they're going to open up,
but you gotta give credit to Sam Darnall
and the Vikings and all those guys, man,
and the way they play.
Yeah, man, Mike, we're agreeing on everything today.
I like the Texans to win at home.
I think that they're very dangerous as a team.
I really see them going further than last year.
And I want to say this out front.
It's pretty impossible for the Vikings to beat them.
Even if they have a big game out of Jefferson,
they still don't beat the Texans.
There's another game.
That's what they call a hot take.
That was a hot take.
There's a hot take.
Man, I heard what you just said.
I heard what you just said.
You heard what you just said.
Yeah.
That the Texans going farther than they went last year.
You know the Cowboys.
Boy, you got an all-Texas Super Bowl?
He said all-Texas Super Bowl.
What you trying to say, man?
I like that, I like that, I like that, I like that.
I'm trolling right now, Mike, his car a-trolling.
Cam, what do you think?
This is another game that I'm excited to see, to be honest with you, because you know, year
after year, Sam Donald's one of them bright young situations like y'all, man, this nigga
ain't shit, he ain't shit.
He's going here, he's not shit.
And he's starting off really, really good.
And you have a great, a top five wide receiver
on your team.
Right.
You know what I'm saying?
Sometime we was talking about that.
I'm not sure if he was on the show, Mike,
but we was just talking about chemistry
and getting the right situation.
Matter of fact, I don't think he was on the show.
He was talking about how we thought it was over
for Geno Smith.
And Russell Wilson leaves and he ends up in Seattle.
We're not saying they're Super Bowl contenders,
but we pretty much thought it might have been over
for Seattle.
We had a decent last couple years for them.
I'm not saying this is it for Sam Donnell,
but it's a lot of expectations.
I think between the Houston Texans and the Detroit Lions,
they can't sneak up on anybody this year.
So teams are gonna prepare for them as better
than they probably would have prepared for them last year.
You know, last year they're like,
oh, it's the same old Lions, they're winning a couple games.
You didn't think they was gonna get as far as they went.
And people wasn't so totally sure
what the Texans were gonna do.
Who am I rooting for?
I'm rooting for the Texans.
I'm always rooting for the black quarterback
and the black coach.
Of course I'm rooting for them.
Are they gonna win?
Hopefully, I can't say they are,
but I'm really excited to win this game.
If I have to make a pick,
I'm gonna go with the Texans as well.
But I'm really, really excited to see those two games
that we talked about earlier.
This is one of them. And then last one we're gonna to talk about the Lions are going to play the Cardinals. I think
this should be an interesting game. Mike, who takes the win?
What we'll see is if all of that great big play stuff we saw between those two, to Kyler and Clarison Jr. is continued.
Or if that was, okay, we really didn't understand,
throw you the ball, the first week,
and we can't get you the ball every week.
You see, the only chance they got is with those two having,
they kind of jumped like they had last game.
First quarter, boom, they go off.
Now everybody's sky-riding sky-high and they won that game.
That's going to be a good game
because Detroit needs this win, and I'm taking Detroit.
Wow, it seemed like we all agreeing today.
Something magical is happening.
I think the Lions should win as well.
I think they have to put a lot of pressure on Cal, Murray,
you know, and definitely, I think with this,
this game is gonna be a very high scoring affair.
I think they're gonna put up a lot of points,
but I think the Lions have to execute their passing game
in order to win this game,
cause it's gonna, a lot of points going to go up on the board.
Where they playing that stuff?
I think they're playing in Arizona.
Arizona.
Arizona.
I'm going to go with the Cardinals.
I think that they had some magic last week.
Mike, you made a great point.
Was it just smoke and mirrors,
or is this going to be a legit thing?
And what you don't wanna happen is this,
you don't want Kyle Murray to over force it
to Harrison Jr. because you like this is gonna work
and the Lions may be prepared for that.
I'm just going out on a limb
because they look really, really explosive.
And I'm gonna give them the home field advantage,
but the Lions need the one as well,
especially coming off of loss to Tampa Bay last week. They really need this
victory because like I said before, they were for for Super
Bowl favorite. But I'm tired of agreeing. I'm going with the
Cardinals just cause.
And then before we go to break, just like a follow up.
Right. That was in for me, at least because I'm telling you
guys, I listened to everything people say,
but also more listen to how you say it,
trying to extrapolate what does it mean,
how you're saying things.
When I heard Marvin Harrison,
I didn't even say, well, yeah,
I looked at the stat sheet that week,
and really, he had four incompletes,
and they were all to me.
And that, that's what I got a problem with. I gotta fix that. He had four incompletes and they were all to me and that
That's what I got a problem with. I gotta fix that right. You see what I'm saying, right? He didn't say
They were all to him as if yeah, this joker trying to freeze me out and he's going me to ball, right?
He said I gotta fix that so so I know we were earlier trying to see if it was something behind the scenes, but everything I've been reading says, no, I think they are, they're all right. You know, they get all right and get on the same page.
Then, then yeah, that could, that could be something.
Yeah. And another reason why the Lions should win is because Hutchison last
Sunday have four and a half sacks and with Kyle Murray being a shorter
quarterback,
he should be able to put a lot of pressure there.
Pause.
Hutchinson, boy.
Y'all know Hutchinson remind me of the one white dude at school that you don't want to fight.
You know he will never stop.
You know what I'm saying?
Hey, Thur, you got to put this joker down.
He ain't going to never stop coming. So, hey, that's a put this joker down. He ain't gonna never stop cussing.
You know?
So, hey, that's a bad dude right there, man.
He got a one million a mile an hour motor, and man, he's a phenomenal player.
A phenomenal player.
I had a great time with him at the draft.
He got drafted, got a chance to spend some time with him.
He's a phenomenal dude.
That's fire.
Okay, so just a quick follow up question.
I feel like because the Lions are such a high,
especially coming off of last season,
if they lose this game to the Cardinals,
do you start to lower your expectations for them
or does it kind of stay the same for you, Mike?
That's a great question, sad girl,
because it is not just, okay, if we start lowering our
grade, the real concern will be if they start lowering their own countenance of themselves.
You see what I mean? Thinking about, oh man, I thought we were supposed to be different,
because what do you think they're going to hear? It, it's just like man, same Detroit, same thing.
You know, and they fought so hard
to say that those days are gone.
That's why they gotta go and win this game.
You know, we talking skill, we talking talent,
but we're talking about, man,
they built something the last few years
and they don't want to see it come crumbling down just that fast.
Um, for me, I think pretty different when it comes to that.
I think, um, it will be better for the lions to struggle all the way to the
playoffs and then turn up there.
I think in previous years they had Stella, you know, in some years, like last year, they had a great regular season and then faded in the playoffs.
I wish it was the other way around.
Even for the city of Detroit, I think it would be a beautiful thing for them to, you know, struggle through the season, but get the wins they need and then hit that, hit that stride when they get in the playoffs.
That's where you wanna come alive at.
It depends on the game that Minnesota has.
I have to see how Minnesota looks this week
in this game against Houston.
Then I'll let you know what I think about the Lions
because I don't see anybody that's better
than them in their division.
Somebody goes to the playoffs from every division
and we know the Bears aren't good.
Love is going for Green Bay.
And right now, only people I see ahead of them right now
is Minnesota, depending on how they look.
Is it just a two and O start?
Is it for real?
Could they really rack up some wins?
But in that division, I don't see the Bears coming back
and making strides.
I don't know, I know the quarterback played good
last week for Green Bay, but is he gonna do that
consistently?
We don't know when love is coming back.
So my only problem would be in that division,
it's Minnesota, and let's see where they're at.
But outside of that, even if they lose,
I wouldn't be worried about them for the division
or making them playoffs.
Right.
Fair point.
You know, they were excited now.
They had love.
So they came back to practice today.
Oh, did he?
I didn't know that. I don't know how.
Right.
No, no, no, no, no.
And I don't know how, but you know,
they were running that today,
and we were looking to talk about it,
but we didn't even get enough information by the time
Our show does show went off. But yeah, you know one of them that's going to be one of them
You know miraculous recovery things and one of them if he run out on the field
How willis re ran out on the court in New York?
Everybody went crazy all of that kind of stuff,
if he turns around and played.
Because I thought-
I didn't know he was, I didn't even know he was in practice.
He'll be out for at least four weeks.
Right, I had no idea he was back in practice.
Thanks for letting me know that.
Yeah, he's not fully cleared,
but he was throwing at practice,
and they're hoping that he can return soon.
They just don't have that exact date yet.
Yeah, we will see what happens.
Okay, we're gonna go to break.
When we return, we will discuss Dion Sanders' comments
on the media.
Don't go anywhere.
One hour, one heart, one love.
Excuse me, after last night performance,
we're gonna do this again?
No.
That's all right. I think so. After last night performance, we're gonna do this again? I'm Rico fucking strong.
Oh shit.
Baby!
I'm back.
Fuck!
Oh my God! Rico! Rico! back
Muchacho, levitate. Toma esto, bebetelo. Right now?
Well, well, cuña.
Okay.
Well.
Now, right now. Right now.
Yeah.
Girl, let me see you walk it off. Walk it off.
Oh, let me see you walk it off. Walk it off.
Yeah, let me see you walk it off. Go.
Girl, let me see you walk it off.
Walk it off.
Welcome back. Now let's get into our underdog picks of the day.
Thursday night football, Jess are playing the Patriots.
Underdog has Aaron Rodgers at two and a half rushing yards.
You have him higher or lower mace.
I'm going high.
I'm going higher.
I'm going higher.
I might mess my record up with that, but I'm going higher.
He should have more than two yards.
Is this a kill he still heard?
He should be good.
Should be good.
This the type of stats the underdog put out
when he fucked his shit up last year.
Yeah, we might need to go lower.
So.
Pause.
They might know.
He should like one yard or some shit.
Yeah.
Whoever bed underneath got rich.
Yeah.
Pause, I'm gonna go higher as well though.
Okay, Reese Hall is at 15 and a half rushing attempts.
Do you have him higher or lower cam?
Lower.
Higher.
Okay, and Ramondre Stevenson is at 85 and a half rushing
and receiving yards.
Do you have him higher or lower mace?
Higher.
How many?
85 and a half rushing and receiving.
Higher.
Okay.
You like these picks.
Remember you get two free picks this week if you're not already on underdog.
So make sure y'all sign up now.
We're joined back with our
analyst Michael Irvin. Okay, so Dion Sanders gave his opinion on journalists and reporters
who have been talking about college football players. So bear with me because I'm going to
read the full quote. Want to get you guys's opinion. He said, once upon a time, you guys never attacked
college players. Now they're making more money than y'all and some of y'all are envious and jealous about
that.
So you're on the attack.
It was a hands off a college player because because he's an amateur.
Now it's hands on go at him any kind of way you want.
They're making more money than me and I'm mad about it.
When you attack them.
These guys are sensitive.
They've never been attacked.
They hadn't gone through what a grown man what I've been going through with for all
these years. They haven't done that. So it is what it is. I know you're going to do your
job and what you must do, but your job does not say attack because if we flip the script on y'all,
y'all wouldn't like it. So how do you guys feel about the comments that he made about reporters,
basically talking negatively about college football players now in this day and age? Mike.
now in this day and age, Mike. Well, he is right in his assessment and the genesis of a statement.
That used to be off limits where you would have tagged college kids, you know, because
we tagged him, he's just a kid, you know, he's just a kid.
But to the degree now that they are making money, and it does seem like it's open season
on the same kids now that they are making money and it does seem like it's open season on the same kids now that they are making money. So you know and also guys
let's be real with Deon being who he is and Deon doing things the way he does
that media is also attacking his kids because they don't like that he didn't
go through all the protocols that he did it prime time way.
And he's continuing to do it prime time way
by doing it through social media.
And you guys won't be the only one to put my word out.
Like you want to put my word out.
He says, I got my own way of putting my word out
and putting the things I want to get out.
So yeah, he can go opposite of that media now.
And he's absolutely right on the way they treat his players.
He's absolutely right.
Um, you asked how we feel about it and when it comes to these players and when it
comes to the money they're making, that's way more than they used to make and Dion
Sanders, and I would like to start by saying shout out to Dion and shout out to
Colorado, that program, shout out to Killer for giving me the sneakers from Dion.
And I really support what Dion is doing because it's really instrumental to see
any black man motivate kids and really be there for the kids.
That's what I like the most about what he's doing out there is that he's not
just getting things from the players.
He's actually helping the players in a life.
And I like that because most people only care about the football players as long
as they're on the football field.
So shout out to you, coach prime shout out the Killer for exposing me to what Dion is doing out there.
And you're a hundred percent right.
When people see you make money, people like you broke, but they don't like you
the same when you're rich because you could make different decisions.
So I think that has a lot to do with how they're talking to these kids and is
unmerited, but you know, it comes with the territory. When you make the money, the hate comes with the money.
So to all the young kids out there, understand that and understand the more
money you make, the more haters coming your way.
I totally agree with, with coach from a hundred percent.
Uh, you didn't attack the kids back then and you didn't talk crazy to the kids.
But, and I'm not disagreeing with Coach Pram
what I'm about to say is this,
cause he's right, the kids are making more money
than people, probably the people interviewing them.
But when you talk, when you got money,
you talk different too.
You talk spicy, you talk slick.
So sometimes the way you talking to people,
they give it back to you.
You know what I'm saying? You're right, a kid's still a kid,
but a nigga who got an 18 year old with no money
as opposed to an 18 year old with two, three million dollars,
their language is different.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, and I loved it the other day.
After the game, when they played Colorado State,
Shadour went up, they was on the field,
our quarterback came to shake his hand,
nigga hit one of the one of these,
nah, you was talking crazy to me,
I don't wanna shake your hand.
Yeah, and you get what I'm saying?
Their talk is different.
When you got money, you talk spicy.
When you don't got money, you can't talk spicy.
If you watch Colorado,
I thought it was just Shadour.
Niggas is playing with bust downs.
Pause.
Half the team is playing them Cuban link bust downs.
I couldn't believe it.
I said, that ain't Shadour.
Fuck the whole team is playing them bust downs.
You know what I'm saying?
But a kid is still a kid, so I totally agree.
But sometimes, but sometimes like I was saying,
these kids talk crazy on the gram.
And what Dion is saying is even if they talk crazy,
they still a kid, they don't know any better.
And now you talking crazy.
And even that didn't read it.
I actually seen the video of what you're talking about.
Dion was about to say some shit.
He said, whoo, whoo Lord.
Y'all talk about Vival.
It was about to be Vival.
He said it was about to be Vival.
Right this very second.
He caught it so.
I say I genuinely love these kids.
I genuinely really do.
It's not about what they can do for me on the football field.
It's about what I can help them with in life.
Landscape has changed in football.
Once upon a time, you guys never attacked college players.
Now they're making more money than y'all.
And some of y'all are envious and jealous about that. So you're on the attack. It
was hands-off for college player because he's an amateur. Remember? Remember that
guys? Now he's hands-on. Go at him. Any kind of way you want. They're making more
money than me and I'm mad about it. When you attack them, attack them, attack them.
These guys are sensitive. They've never been attacked. They hadn't gone through
what a grown man, what I've been going through with y'all for years. They haven't done that so
It is what it is. I know you're gonna do your job and what you must do, but your job does not say in
Attack the personal stuff leave it to be personal because we start flipping the script on y'all you won't like it
Okay, easy
Thank you Lord for stopping me there. Oh, that was almost a good one. That would have went viral.
But I dig it, cause what you said Mike,
I know he got his son on playing defense,
his son Dion Jr. doing Instagram and social work
and his son playing quarterback,
but he treats all those kids like they're his kids.
And he takes it personal with everybody
that's a part of his organization
or anybody he can help out with.
So he's gonna be, he's gonna feel the way,
cause it isn't just his blood relation.
He feels if you're on the team with him,
you're one of his sons as well.
Let me do this now.
Let me grab your hand and walk you out the three feet
and bring you to an eight feet water here.
Dion, cause remember now, first we saw
the doer in his offensive line,
talking to Travis Hunter in the media,
and saying, you guys are trying to pull us apart
and we're not having it,
that's why we're standing here together,
to show y'all you can't pull us apart.
And then Dion, Dion, he who knows he's at that part
of the scene just pulls a few more strings and he comes out and he snaps at him. What is he telling
his team? Man I told y'all I'm in this fight with y'all no matter what and they can come at me all
they want but they can't come at my players And now they get in that bunker and they even get
close-up because that's what they're going to need for the rest of the season. It really is.
You know, it's the right thing on all sides. He's telling the truth, but he's sending a message in
his locker room. It's us against the world. Let's go whip the world's ass.
Right.
world, it's us against the world. Let's go with the world's ass. And then we talked about this earlier in the week, but Mike definitely wanted to get your
opinion. How do you feel about the Panthers benching Bryce Young?
I didn't like it. I don't like the plan that was put in place for this young man because it said nothing
about we know how to handle and raise a quarterback.
You gave him no talent around him.
You've given him two different coaches
and it's two years there and already you pulled the plug on.
It's amazing. It is absolutely amazing. I do think that somehow, some way, because
players got egos, but so do coaches and some coach somewhere would say,
that was my first pick in a draft and give them an opportunity, but I don't know how
they put them back on the field in Carolina, how they ever do that.
You know, when you look at the Baker-Made fields
and the Tours, like they struggled early in their careers.
Baker and Cleveland even tour in Miami, you know,
and Swiss in and out Ryan Fitzpatrick.
But they had some early success.
Baker went to the playoffs with Cleveland,
had a pretty good rookie year, you know.
Tua made some good plays, so you had some success
to fight against all the criticism.
All he had was criticism.
You know, the man was 23 and four in Alabama
and his two years started in two and in 16 at Carolina.
Dude, when you win like that and then start losing like that, man, it's hard, man.
That's the hardest thing in the world.
So I just feel bad for him, man.
And I hope they didn't break them.
I hope somebody find them and give them a chance and revive them.
But the first thing I'd have to revive is confidence before they
talk about reviving his game.
Yeah.
I think about, I think when I think about Bryce's like seven things that come to mind,
just thinking about the Panthers.
Number one, that he won't be able to learn from the bench.
That's the first thing I think as a young quarterback that was drafted that high, he's
not going to be able to learn from the bench, especially on a losing team.
So number two, that sets his development back.
It says his development back.
Number three, it sets the team development back because if we were building a
future off of Bryce, this is pushing the whole entire franchise back.
I mean, but I cannot say fourth that he was ready to be a NFL quarterback.
He didn't look like he was ready to be an NFL quarterback.
Number five, he made poor reads.
He missed six.
He missed a lot of throws that he should have completed.
And he just, number seven, he holds the ball too long.
Pause.
That's what I will be my assessment of Bryce
when it comes to this.
So his development is definitely set back.
The franchise is definitely set back.
But with a lot of good reasons for it,
because the other five shares with you
where that decision may have come from.
I agree with you, Mike.
They put that nigga in a poor situation.
You ain't got no weapons.
You ain't got no offensive line. You ain't got no weapons, you ain't got no offensive line,
you ain't got no defense,
and you're supposed to go out there
and make miracles happen in the ultimate team sport.
Fucked up.
That's all I have to say.
Yeah, that was-
Uh-oh, uh-oh.
Oh, that's my, they just fired on me.
Yeah, but you good.
It's A-OK.
We'll see you later.
That's the last topic.
All right, thanks, guys.
Yeah, thanks.
Jerry Jones got you running like this.
Look how Jerry got you running. Jerry this. Look how Jerry got you running.
Jerry Jones.
Look how Jerry got you running, man.
In Stila colors.
Yeah, have a safe flight.
All right, man.
See you Steelers Black.
All right, guys.
Okay, we're gonna discuss one more topic before we end.
So one of the GOAT NBA insiders, Woj,
is retiring from ESPN.
He decided to become the general manager
of the men's basketball program at his alma mater.
What do you guys think of his decision to retire
and what does this mean for his friendly competitor, Shams?
Wow.
I think Shams is gonna go to a new level
because now that he's seen Woj pull this off, he's
definitely going to be looking to come up himself.
I think this is turned the, um, the competitiveness to all time high
because now he have to search for something better, but I'm really happy
for Woj, especially if he's able to go back to his alma mater, alma mater
and do something great there.
Um, it's not just a place you wanna go back to,
especially when you got history there.
You wanna turn the program up.
And it seemed like over the years,
him covering LeBron and so many other people
that he should have a great grasp on the basketball game
and be able to make some great things happen.
So, well wishes.
and be able to make some great things happen. So, well wishes.
That niggas is paying him more than ESPN,
that's all I can say.
That shit ain't really no long shit like Mase just tried to say.
You're going where your money's at, my nigga.
ESPN was paying a nigga more than St. Bonaventure,
he was there at ESPN.
St. Bonaventure probably throwing that nigga
a shitload of money,
so they're gonna try and turn to a storybook.
Oh, back to my alma mater,
and I'm gonna make it a historian, I wanna, nah,
nigga, they paying that nigga more than ESPN's
gonna pay that nigga, that's all this about.
Because why would you go somewhere to take less money
than you're making, and not only just making less money,
you're not gonna have the visibility
as being seen on TV.
As saying Bonobish.
It's 365 days and it eroses on TV 170 days.
Out to your minimum, maybe more than that.
You're not gonna, your visibility's gonna be gone.
Your connections in the NBA are gonna be gone.
It's the money.
I don't know this for a fact, but I would bet my money
on that it's the money.
Go get your money, nigga.
I ain't mad at you, you're getting older
and you need to save up.
Retirement, nigga.
Get that money. I actually think, I'll just older and you need to save up. Retirement, get that money.
I actually think opposite.
I think time is money.
Cause when you're an insider,
like your whole day is surrounded by talking to agents,
talking to people.
Like if you want to go to a restaurant,
you still gotta be on your phone
cause you gotta be the first person to break that news.
So if I were him personally,
like yeah, the theatrics of it was cool,
but like I would want to retire and take a break eventually too,
cause your whole day is surrounded by that.
Like, Shams does it, Shams is younger,
so he probably is feeling better about it,
but I'm not surprised that Woz was like,
you know what, let me go do something else
where my passion is,
where I don't have to be glued to my phone 24 seven.
So you think it's more money for less work?
No, I think it's less money for something that he's passionate about.
You want to take, you want to leave him and do some passion shit for less money?
I didn't say that.
I did not say that.
You want to go to Dooball?
I did not say that.
But in his position, like-
You're going to go to the infomercials at 2 in the morning?
No, sir.
I love where I am.
But I do think in his position, he's okay with taking less money because that is just
that's a stressful job. But what I will say is, remember the name Chris Haynes. He's an
NBA insider free agent. I wouldn't be surprised if he takes this lot because the culture has
been taken over. Chris Haynes, that's more than he'd be a second. He tried to come on the show too.
Really? He tried to Chris Haynes. He's been trying to get up here for about a year now.
Really? Our schedules just haven't been working out.
Oh, and before we go, tomorrow we have a very special episode.
We got Mike Tyson coming on the set.
Y'all don't want to miss this. Thanks for watching!
