Listen, man, summer's been real busy for Stap, man. Mace 2, he doesn't publicize a lot of stuff that he does, but he's been very, really, really busy.

First of all, how was you guys summer, man? How was the summer? Mason, pardon me. Man, my summer was crazy, man. I mean, I had a wonderful summer. That's it right. What did you do? This is the secretest, most secret of the got no on the world.

that many points. They look great. And on the AFC, I feel like we keep going back and forth between the Bills and the Ravens. I'm feeling like it's got to be one of their years and like I hate saying that because y'all know my team. I'm clear on my team. My car is not least that. We know my team. But those are the two that I feel like if it's going to be a year for them, it would be one of the two of them. Okay. Arabia. I don't know, Cameron. And this be the thing. Like everybody has their own style of media, right? But I don't want to be Ms. Clio who you

think on win in six months. Brother, I love you so much, but I don't know. Let's see how the games play out. It's always a team that creep up out of nowhere. Like, dang, where you come from? I ain't know you got it like that. And it's a team that we thought was a bad bitch. And then it's like, Dan, you let yourself go. So I don't know. I do it for you and only you. I'm saying Saints Ravens. I have the Saints win in the NFC South. I think they were playing some really good football last year. I think they have a chance to win the NFC South. The NFC, maybe not. I don't know. I don't know.

We got to see. And the Ravens look really good. Week 1 under Jesse Mentor. So guns on my head, Saints Ravens, because it's a stretch. It's not a Rams Ravens, you know, it's a hot take, but ultimately, I don't know. Don't call me now for your free reading. Call somebody else. Yeah, I'm going to go bills and Rams.

But I know how to analyze and break down film of what already has happened. But as far as these predictions, and I feel like another thing why people love these predictions

is because gambling has become such a huge part of the game, wanting to make any time touchdown this pick money line. And I'm not into the gambling. What's the da-da-da-da-da. What's that? What does that mean? Money line, next person to score. You know, you can make bets while the game is going.

So, oh, who do you think is going to have the next first down? who you think is going to have the next touchdown. It's just so many things you can bet on. So, yeah, I don't know. Because you have your discomfort in your field, don't put it on me and Betha about how we've discomfort in our field. I knew Kendrick Lamar was going to win the Grammys last year. It wasn't hard to decipher if you asked us who was going to win the Grammys

because all the stuff was going on. We said Kendrick Lamar, he won now. And we knew when Mack Lamar was going. going to win over Kendrick. Yeah. We know how the politics go. Yeah, we understand it. Okay.

Nick actually picked the Houston Texans in the AFC, if I'm not mistaken. Did you, Nick? Yeah, you did. Talk about this nigga, C.J. Strow got a contract gear and all that. I feel him, but it didn't go like that. Yesterday, 3631, the Bills win.

We'll start with True Arabia. How do you feel about the Bills' week one win against the Texans' great defense, and what do you look forward in the next few weeks from the bills since we can't get our overall season on the bills thus far. How'd the game go yesterday yesterday was kind of expected. So the Vales, first of all, got their first win. We're on our third first of all.

I don't know what this first of all. We heard about the 17 first of all from you. I don't know. Listen, we're going to get the, we're going to get the commanders. We understand they lost. And then you're still a little mad this morning. about it. But you don't have to, first of all, all of us, because you're still a little salty about it. We'll get to it. But thank you. I'm sorry. The Bills. I'm real mad about it. But yes,

the Bills got their first win at Houston in Houston in 20 years. The last time they won in Houston was 2006. This was also a redemption game for Josh Allen. He redeems himself in Reliant Stadium. The last time that he played there, the last four times, he lost. Joe Brady also gets his Bill's head coaching debut and gets a win. I love that for the bills. I don't want to take anything away from Buffalo. However, sometimes it feels like it's not Houston versus their opponent. It feels like Houston versus C.J. Stroud. And I called that fumble before it happened in that last drive. This is what he does. He's like Norman Osborne, right? CJ Schrode is like Norman Osborne. He's a stand-up guy. He does what he's supposed to do. But that green goblin be whispering at his ear like,

Turn the ball over. Turn it over. And he do. Every single time, he lets his intrusive thoughts win. And I don't know what he's going to do when it's time to come to the table with contract negotiations. Right now, CJ Stroud and Houston have table contract negotiations. But when he does come to the table, he needs to have more leverage than he does right now. So, but in better news, David Montgomery looks really, really well. I love that running game. Woody Marks is a really good running back off ball. He has this offball grittiness that I really appreciate. So it's not all bad for Houston. Next, they have the Bengals. So we're going to see if C.J. Strau can hold on to the ball against a Bengals defense that is revamped that created four turnovers from Baker Mayfield.

So CJ Strau has to clean it up because clearly this new Bengals defense can create turnovers next week. Oh, you saw us, huh? All right. Yeah, I like me. I just say, I ain't going to dwell on it, Mace. No. I ain't talking about the Bengals. You back with the Bengals, man.

I never love the Bengals, man. You're the only one switching around. Listen, I know we are still in this game and I'm moderating, but look, I'm just excited that we won a game in week one. We haven't won a game in week one. I don't know how long, so I'm not going to take that. I think when it comes to the Texans, the Texans is really are going to just keep underachieving.

After looking at this game, I think C.J. Strout is one of those guys that he was just supposed to be something in those years kind of got away. I think in the next couple of years, they'll be getting a new quarterback. Because when you turn in the ball over four times a game, that's just impossible to get a win, especially against a team and a quarterback on the level of when it comes to Josh Allen, right? He's going to have another MVP year. That's why I'm going with this team. I'm expecting them to win it all. This may be the year they win it all. You know, when I get on the team, they win. So I'm wearing the blue for the Buffalo Bills.

And stat don't start it. It's just day one. I'm going Buffalo Bills, New York. It might be the year they do it twice, man, and football and basketball. I just got my blue ready. And I hope we get this cam, Scatible.

They say he's the hottest cam in the city. I'm not in the city presently. So maybe so. You might be. I did what I had to do. Y'all a long way to go. Before we get the stat, I just asked you who's going to be representing the AFC. You said you didn't know.

Three minutes later, you're going with the... How did you come to this conclusion from three minutes ago you're not knowing to right now Buffalo's going to take it all? I just asked you this, but how did you get to this conclusion? I just really thought about it. The synergy is in New York. Okay. The synergy is really in New York.

Statt was in New York. She didn't call us all summer. Oh, my. Okay. We can debate about that. That's what New York do to you, though. Yeah. It turn you out.

Not in a bad way, not on something like that. To New York. Listen, let me tell you something. I know people who's from the suburbs, when they go to New York, they're like, oh, my God, you go outside, this is here. Did you feel like that stat real quick? Like, when you go outside, like, yeah, I can just go to a bodega. I can hop on a train. I can just go to me.

You never have to go home. The world's in your fingertips. Yeah, right. Exactly, man. Exactly. It's fire. I like it. That's what's up.

Statt, Buffalo, Texans. What did you think about the game? First of all, real quick, Mace, I did not disappear. I'd be looking for you, too. I don't know, y'all. I don't know. But back to this game, I feel like, yes, the Texans did lose, but I feel like we're talking like C.J. Stroud isn't good.

I don't want to say that. I do want to give him a little bit of credit because I do think that he's played better in this games than he has in previous games. I just think that Josh Allen overall is better. So I don't want to discredit the Houston team as a whole because it's kind of like, uh, C. J.I. Schrold this. He just throughout that. But then he has some of those games and those flashes that we see and we're like, okay, he's him again. And he's still young. He still has

more time. I know like we don't want to just keep sticking to the waiting game, but I don't want to act as if the Texans aren't good because they still have a good baseline there. And I think, like I said, we still need to be able to give the Texans credit. But on the other side, back to kind of what Arabia was saying, like, yes, even for the bills, they had been owned for in Houston. So And that's kind of why I was looking at them in the AFC because I'm like, okay, they're making some strides. Like, this is a good turnaround for them. So I think there's a lot of upside for the bills,

but I'm not ready to say, like, the Texans and C.J. Strow just need to go. I wouldn't say that. Let me ask you something, Mace. Not just yet. The whole thing, right, and you've been here. We all been here. I don't know what's this thing she got for C.J.

Stroud. They've been like this for years. I ain't going to say a crush. But it's something in your heart for C.J. When we found him hanging out with, he was doing the whole walk with Amber Rose. And we was like, yo, Amber got the nigga. He was like, nah, but CJ, you know, he prays.

That was that timing. Yeah, I'm just saying, not saying I'm going to pray, and I pray too, but you just found any reason to like C.J. Strout, and I see you still got sun in your heart for him. I'm going with Mace and Arabia, man. You better not move on with Nick said, too. Not with Nick said as far as picking them. You're going to go.

You want a contract year, nigga. You better make it happen, nigga. Telling you, the jerk you pause. See motherfucking Sam Don't. They cost them money playing games on the contract year, man. We're going to move on, though, right now. The Bears, Bears put up a 60 piece yesterday on motherfucking North Carolina.

The Bears beat North Carolina 59 to 37, fingernail, polish included in the game. Caleb Williams looked really spectacular. Brace Young looked pretty good, too. What do you think about the Bears this season, Arabia? First of all, I think it's really impressive that Chicago broke a record for season opener as far as points scored. They score 59 points. I think that's amazing.

I think Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams marry very well together. I think they should be really excited about some of the things that they did on offense, not just how many points they scored, but how they scored them. This was a really tip-for-tack game for a while. It was 7-7-7. Then 21-21, 24, they were tied up. and then Chicago scored on their next three possessions. So it's really impressive when a team can play through all four quarters and can pick up steam as the game goes on.

So very impressive, not just how many points they scored, but how they scored them. However, I think Chicago's defense, we do need to be concerned about Chicago's defense. They let the Panthers score five touchdowns, 478 yards for Bryce Young. And even though Dave Canales and Bryce Young are finding a rhythm, I think both teams should be very excited about what they did

on offense, but both teams should also have some calls for concern on defense. So if I'm Chicago, I'm happy. I'm excited. It's still early, but they have some things to clean up on defense. Mace? Yeah, I think when it comes to the Bears, this is the year they break out. I think they're going to get right there, but not actually win at all. I think they'll get to probably this second round of the playoffs.

But when they come to this team, I expect them to beat North Carolina. Of course, they will beat the Panthers, even though Breyer. Young is playing a little bit better. Still, I just don't have an ear or eye for mediocrity. I'm going with Caleb Williams. I think he's going to play really good, but he's going to be a tier too low. St. Tier too low.

Okay, I think that the Bears are ultimately meeting their goals. Like, their coach, Ben Johnson, he said that they want to be like the highest scoring offense ever. And right off bat, they're off to a great start. I also think that because of how we've seen how the Panthers played in previous years, I think a lot of people are in that mindset. It's like, it's the Panthers. But it's like we've seen the strides that they've been able to make and their momentum.

And I think they really just lost it in that second half. But overall, I think the bears have a lot to be excited about. I also agree with Arabia. I think defense on both ends just needs some work because if we're having high-scoring games like that in week one, it's kind of like, okay now. But at the same time, I think that they both have a lot to look forward to. But I said, I like how the bears are looking. I think I'm ready to see them go all the way.

Look, man. You very accepted, Mace? What? Not yet. You have to cover Madden and all that, man. Come out, do his thing. We're not going to, we look, we're not going to do. Arabia made a great take.

And so the state. So the Mesa is a matter of fact. But we're not going to act like 60 points, say 60 points. 60 points is a lot of points. But to Arabia's points, you give it up 40. And I'm rounding all these numbers off. I'm rounding numbers off, of course. but you got to clean that defense up because

I don't think you're getting 60 on everybody now if you're going to allow the Panthers to get 37 points on you other teams are going to come pick you apart as well I think this was a great start to stats point Caleb Williams with his OC finally got an OC that's consistent for two years and I think they are like a match made

to have it at the moment I'm with Mastor I can't put too much stock into them I'm not even talking about playoffs a lot of them games they won last year which got to me Caleb Williams on the cover of Matt and shit like that. I caught them shit's miracle games, man. Throwing the ball with five, eight seconds left.

You know, I can't pinpoint exactly. It was a lot of miracle shit going on with Caleb Williams, like some magic was going on. I don't know if the ghost of USC and God bless OJ was with it. Listen, there was a lot of shit that was happening for Caleb Williams last year. Dead ass me. Because it wasn't like, yo, this thing was throwing shit.

And you're like, yo, this nigga just won the game. When they was down, they was down, I wish I would have put the notes in, because I know I was moderating, I didn't put the notes. But those last few games he had last year, to me was miracle games. It was good start this season. But we're going to see what happens moving forward. But I do like what all of y'all said about the bears. Let's move forward and go back to a game that was last Thursday.

You know, a lot of 49th fans. You know, Kim, start the show with us, start the show with us, no, no, no, no, no, 49. Listen, calm the fuck down. y'all niggas can't stay healthy past week four. So we're going to go to the Rams, San Francisco game. Me, I thought the Rams, my personal pick for the NFC was the Rams, just because of what they got going on. Before I get my opinion, though, let's get to the game.

They played in Australia last Thursday. San Francisco ended up winning that game, 27 to 7. Arabia, what did you think about that game? And do you blame traveling on the reason why the Rams lost so bad or didn't look that good? I will definitely use traveling as a factor. You almost can't use traveling as a factor. They got there, what, 28, 25, 24-ish hours before the game? You can't do that.

And this is an example, in my opinion, of Sean McVeigh thinking he's the smartest guy in the room. Everybody's so creative. You want to send all these staffers two years ahead of time to take all these measurements to see, just go a few days ahead of time, get their bodies adjusted, and go about your business. He's trying to reinvent the wheel here when we've already figured out a system that works in these international games. So yes, I think traveling is a factor. However, I got to put more respect on Brock Purdy's name and I got to put more respect on the 49ers name because like you said, they're injury prone. The electrical substation is whoop and they ass year after year.

It's significant people who are injured. Kittle, CMC, Kyle Juilli, all these people who are dealing with all these injuries, and yet they still find a way to make the playoffs, to be competitive, to be relevant and win games. So I think this is a shanahan, a product of Shanahan, and how well of a coach, he's a good of a job that he's doing at coaching. Brock Purdy, Mr. Irrelevant, we got to put some respect on his name,

because even with all these injuries, he goes from throwing to Ayyuk and Debo and having CMC running to throw into the milkman, the Uber driver, and your math teacher, and it still looks really, really good. Trent Williams is really still performing at a really high level. That makes a huge difference. He made Miles Garrett look like a JV High School player, and that's not easy to do. So I'm putting a lot of emphasis on just the 49ers organization

and how they're able to stay relevant year after year. But yes, also travel, absolutely. And this is one of the reasons why you don't try to reinvent the wheel and go to a whole international game one day before the game. So, yeah, traveling for short. a factor. Yeah, and traveling is always going to be a fact. I don't, I really don't see why they're taking football over there. It's not like people over there are trying to get a team. Unless they're going to make another team over there, it doesn't make sense to me to have me traveling all the

way over there. I probably would have went a day earlier myself or or, or right on tip, tip, tip off Paul's time. Because realistically, I don't want to be on a cross-seas playing football. I didn't sign up for that. That's why it's called the National Football League. Why would I want to play in the IFL? I would have to run across the

make sense the Rams played really bad I honestly thought they were going to win that game going into it predictions wise so I mean if Australia is going to be the issue and they're going to blame it on that forever y'all laughing it's making me laugh that's a good point it's called

I'm going to go in Australia trying to be different trying to market to different people I guess but it doesn't make sense it's not benefiting the league I mean I think it's cool for traveling purposes, but it's not really beneficial. Something interesting, though, that I did see that was being discussed. I know that they were saying, like, Puka was struggling in the offseason, actually, because he said he was going through some pretty, like, hard times and was going to alcohol

to kind of help with his issues. So it's kind of interesting seeing the parallels between, like, offseason and what the guys are going through and then seeing them come back on to the field. So I'm just happy that he is semi-okay is what I'll say, but Rams got to fix a lot of things. Honestly, semi-OK. Because you could say you're getting better, but are you actually? Like, I don't know.

You could just be playing, going through the motions. I hate me a junkie that always trying to rehabilitate their self when it's time for their money to come around and then give niggas a pretty story. Listen, man. Keep it to yourself. Nah, shit ain't personal.

You know, yeah, I do. You know what? There's a lot of Huey P. Newton's out here. And it ain't necessarily ought to be sports-related. Niggas always love a redemption story. So now when he starts playing good, like he beat alcohol. Like, nah, man, stay keep that shit to yourself.

This is, I'm just learning this right now. Traveling. Let's get back to what Mace said. Yes, this is the National Football League.

I totally agree with Mace. And Arabia is right. I think they got to exactly 28 hours before the game. And I do believe where Arabia is. says as well. Like Sean McVey thinks he's a genius. And I'm not saying he isn't. I think he's a very smart coach as well. But traveling is right. But what I'll say is this, Mace. What do you have to say to this, right? It was played in a cricket arena where 80,000 people there sold out on a Friday morning when people should be at work. The game was Friday at 10 a.m.

In the morning. Do you think that matters as far as marketing the National Football League globally? Not really. The most important thing is San Francisco is Dejan Love. I think he's the most important San Francisco. That's the most famous 49 in the last two years. Yeah.

Okay, so before we get to the final two-point conversion, play, I want to back up to an opportunity that we could potentially have had for another two-point conversion. We scored a touchdown. Now, could we have potentially tried the two-point conversion then and been in a better situation to eventually tie the game? Sure, but the world may never know. We took a long field goal instead of trying the two-point conversion. I don't know if that was even going to be called at that point, but that's a possibility.

Another thing is, and I cannot wait for the All-22 to come out so I can watch film. My initial reaction to that shovel pass to John Bates, who's not even really a receiving titan, I mean, he's a titan, so he's going to do both regardless, but he's a really great blocking titan. I didn't like that play call. I don't want the ball in Bates' hand. pointing to two guys who were open, one in the in the end zone and the one who was kind of slightly out of the end zone. But that play wasn't meant for them. When they practiced that play, they don't even practice it for that to be a read. So yes, Jaden could have caught a call in audible, so to speak, and thrown the ball to them. So some blame could be for play calling. Some could be for Jaden for not seeing that that was open and trying it anyway. But also, the more that I watch it over because the film isn't out yet, I see the right tackle who decides to hinge instead of, he engages with the three tech. The reason why you don't want to engage with the three tech in that moment is because you want the three tech to come up the field. Don't touch the three tech.

You want the three, but what does the three tech do instead? He spins out and makes the tackle. Also, the left guard doesn't engage with anybody. So he just blocks, blocks down to the second level, but doesn't actually block anybody. So 11 comes up and makes the tackle as well. So the offensive line absolutely did not do their job. If those two do their job, the play may have actually been there. It's not a bad play if it works if those two individuals do their job. So might not be as bad of a play call as I initially thought this shovel pass to Bates.

They also don't have the. talent it looks like to make up for not being in a good defensive scheme. So do that same thing

against a defense that's actually worth a damn because the Cowboys did not do what the Bengals did. The Bengals went out this offseason and actually fix some of their defensive woes. It's week one, but so far through just one game, it looks like the Bengals went out and actually address some things. The Cowboys did not do that. And offensively, it was never really the problem for Dallas. It was defensively. And defensively, it looks like it's the same old song. So, and you talk about, oh, can Jaden Daniels stay healthy? Can. Kins Kadaboo, they're two crash test dummies. They're dumb and dumber.

Mace, what did you think about the fight and what do you see for Ryan Garcia moving forward? When I saw the fight, I was really impressed with Ryan from the adjustments that it made. It looked like he became a better boxer, right? So this is a knockout on a back foot. Like, I don't think people really recognize how interesting that would be.

I know a lot of times people, you know, go at commentators that don't come from the box and feel like we don't know what we're talking about.
