Welcome back to It Is What It is.
I'm Treasure Wilson, aka Stat Baby, along with your host, Mace, and Cam.
Killer, what's good, man?
It was good, man.
You got everybody yesterday calling me about my lyrics.
Blogs, everything, and people call me more.
It's all good.
I'm putting your mixtape together.
be a mixtape together now, so she went this far.
I'm not rushing it neither.
I'm gonna go through and put the whole mixtape together, man.
Niggins said me talking about Arby's an apology, all type of shit, man.
Yeah.
The timing of the Arby's thing was crazy too, because you just had, you know, your spiel.
And I saw them reply a comment too.
They were like, can, we got beef?
I'm like, dang, Arby's?
Yeah, the other day.
Arby's reported on her?
Yes.
of a day when I say, ain't fucking Arby.
There's in the comments saying,
yo, we got beef, pause.
That's crazy.
It's crazy.
It's crazy.
Everybody's watching.
Arby's included.
Right.
Right, right.
I'm not on TV every day forcing that, though,
pause.
Beef with Arbys is crazy.
I ain't got no beef with Arby's.
They said, I owe him on a positive.
You absolutely not.
You met what he said.
You met what you met.
Yeah.
May stirred it up today
Yesterday and today
It's all good
All good, brother
Just the beginning
Y'all
Do you know where you live at yet?
I know how to get there
You know to get there
You know
You're having a conversation
You're not to get there without the navigation
No
So right now you have no
I don't know how to get home
I would
I would figure it out
I'm a problem solve
But off the top, no.
Like if you told me this is the directions, no, I wouldn't know.
Also, audience, that's so she doesn't know how to turn the cable remote.
She doesn't have cable and she doesn't have cable and she wouldn't know to turn the channel if she had cable.
Oh, love.
I use, okay, to be fair, streaming services, YouTube TV.
I have an Apple TV.
Like, what do I need to use cable for?
What are y'all using cable for?
If you could just use the apps.
I use that.
I got all of it.
See, to me,
I'm just saying to me,
it's like somebody who'd be like,
yo, what I need a debit card,
I got cash.
I don't need a debit card.
Or if you got a debit card,
you'd be like, I don't need cash,
I got a debit card.
I don't know what's wrong with me.
I got all streaming services too,
but I also have cable as well.
And that's why you probably miss out on a lot of stuff.
You ever see snowfall?
Because I'm not,
I haven't watched snowfall, actually.
I'm not watching the stuff that's regularly being aired.
I'm not watching the stuff that's regularly being aired.
No.
Like, I would have to go back and rewatch things.
I couldn't even tell you the last time I watched cable.
Like, maybe George Lopez.
Like, I don't.
George Lopez.
I know who you remind me of now.
Scared, who?
It was a girl named Whitley, a brown-skinned Whitney.
You remember Whitley?
From where?
Cosby's show?
Which world?
A different world.
Oh, yeah, I don't remember wetney.
Brown skin, Whitley.
Yeah.
The way, like, you're reacting, I'm like, I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
Shoot, the comments will let me know.
They'll always just let us know.
So, hey, but no, I'm not watching cable.
That is probably why I miss out a lot because I wasn't just, like, I didn't sit and watch things on cable.
I would have to stream it or go out of my way to search it up.
There's so many things to search.
How do you watch your football on Sundays?
YouTube TV.
But I'm saying, like, they have Red Zone?
Yeah.
You can do, I do the Multi-View.
So I do the Four Multi-View, put all the games up, the Red Zone,
and then I have it on my laptop.
It's a nice little setup.
Yeah, I got YouTube TV, too, but I got it on cable, too.
Maybe I don't know.
I'm not going to get rid of my cable just yet,
but I also got all the apps, too.
Maybe I'm wasting money.
And that's kind of why I was like,
I don't need both, because, like,
you have everything, you have it just because, but I'm like, I wouldn't know the channel numbers
anyway. Well, they don't change the channel numbers, but maybe one day. We'll see.
Okay. So we have a lot of basketball to discuss, but first I want to get you guys' reaction
to this clip from Caleb Williams. So first, it's confirmed that he can miss up to four weeks
with the hamstring injury. But people have actually been trolling Caleb for the way that he got
injured. I guess they're not liking the vibes. So I just wanted to see if you guys had any specific
opinions on what happened. Nick, roll the clip.
Here comes Williams. Here comes Williams tripped up, though. Van Ginkle just barely got a piece of him.
And he's in pain. Yeah, I don't know if Van Ginkle touched him. It looked to me like he might
have pulled up late. Oh, that's even worse then. Do you have a problem with his reaction?
People are saying that for it being a hamstring injury, it was just too dramatic. But I wanted to
know what you thought. I mean, you don't know what kind of pain he was in. Paul.
You know, but when it comes to a guy that probably paint his nails, that's probably why they
putting that much into the equity into this conversation.
But I think, you know, if there's a hamstring, anything dealing with his back or, you know,
I remember I told my Achilles, I felt like fire was shooting up, you know, or going down my
legs.
So it was really, it was really, really burning.
So I'm not sure how that felt.
So I can't really give commentary on that.
until I know what that feels like, pause.
Fire shooting up my leg and it was burning.
I sit down my leg.
Kind of why.
Dup, dump, damn.
Down, turn around, left to the rights and side.
Shoot a Pokemon.
Pause for being just crazy.
I mean, it's cold red, it's high alert.
You know, high alert.
The rest of the week, man.
Yeah, we're all right.
I learned that.
Yeah, I agree with Mace.
I mean, listen, man, you can't.
It's the start of the season.
I don't know what people are trying to, I don't know what people are trying to
sineway.
I'm not sure if they're trying to say anyway that it wasn't that bad.
He shouldn't be that dramatic about it, whatever else.
But I think Mace hit the nail on the head paws as being saying that because maybe he
pets his, you know, I used to troll him on the show.
He paints his nails or he wants to cuddle with his dog.
Da, da, da, da, da.
You know, it's part of the.
trolling, but, you know, who wants to be injured the first and second week of the season?
So I don't think he just did that, especially when you come off a game, when you just
scored 59 points, the offense is clicking, so on and so forth, it's looking like it's going
to be a great year, and this happens.
No, I don't think, maybe, like I said, I think Mesa is correct.
They're putting a lot of stock into it because of other stuff that he does off the field.
But there's no way that I think that man is faking or it's too dramatic,
especially how good the Bears looked the first week.
And then one last quarterback update, Jackson Dart.
Of course, Giants fans are upset.
So it's looking like Jackson Dart has a season-ending injury.
We don't have quite confirmation of exactly what it is.
But hearing that, Mace, what are your initial thoughts?
Man, Nick, oh, my goodness, man.
All you New York fans, man, this is, this is,
This is New York for us.
We get the Knicks winning.
You know they had to make it up somewhere.
We had to compensate it somewhere.
So this is heartbreaking news for all of New York,
especially Scatterpool and neighbors and everybody else
that thought they was going to have a breakout year.
I really was looking forward to, you know,
this Giants team having a breakout year.
And with Jackson and Dart hurt,
it just lets you know it's not time yet.
I wish him well and speedy recovered.
I'm going on the record right now.
Giants going to win the division.
Wow, James Winston, man.
I'm going on the record.
I'm talking about I'm going on the record.
Giants going to win the division, watch.
James, people will be forgetting, man.
James Winston led the league.
Now, don't get it fucked up.
He led the league in yards,
but he also led the interceptions.
Right before Tom Brady came down there and took his spot,
He was the starting quarterback in Tampa, and ever since then,
it'd been a roller coaster ride for him here, there,
and everywhere else that he went.
But he was a decent quarterback.
I believe that James Winston knows that this is the last shot ever as starting.
You've got to think about this, right?
Is it 18 weeks this year?
Do they move it to 18 and still 17 weeks?
It's still 17 weeks, Nick?
Whatever it is, right?
He has a whole season to.
start. You got Joe James, I'm on the record. This is your last chance ever. You might get pushed
back to third string if you stink it up. I'm telling you this right now. I don't think that
he had the reps in practice because everybody was so Jackson Dart in over the offseason that
that's who they's prepping, young quarterback. You know, they want to make sure they're, they're,
pardon me for losing a lack of words at the moment, but they're mentoring them for a lack of better
words, making sure that he's going to have to season.
Whether the Giants won or lost,
this was supposed to be his first full season.
That's what I was looking for, grooming him to groom him.
James Winston, I'm telling you.
Grooming is wow.
Yeah, that's true.
One in one, pause.
It's one and one.
It's one and one.
Fire up and down my legs.
It's one and one.
It's early, too.
I was like,
pause revenge is all shows.
Just waiting.
Just waiting this crazy.
For us.
But, yeah, I believe that this is your last chance.
And I think that James Winston to get some reps in there.
And I think that he'll be all right, man.
I'm going on the line and I'm saying it.
I know one person who's sick.
Russell Wilson, this could have been you.
It's going to be you.
If you put your little bit of pride to the side and been the back of
quarterback, you could have the whole season, get ready to be your season.
I know he's thinking about that, like, yo, damn.
Man, Jim, Jim, John Harba, John Harba, that's my man, and all that.
I know he want to hit them niggas.
I know he wouldn't be like, yo, I'm still going to play and all that.
You take the job, you 10 million a year.
Analysts, man, I know you sick.
I know you sick.
Because this could have been redemption, but it's going to be James Winston
redemption. I'm rooting for you, my nigga. I'm telling you that right now.
Giants going to take the division, man. Everybody's soaked down and pouting.
It's about week 12. I knew James had it. I'm telling you.
Man, the Eagles fans, I know, feel so disrespected right now that you just said the
Giants are going to take the division because it's like, they're actually 2 and 0 right
now, but I guess if you want to go on this James Winston Limb, I mean, it's a hot take for a reason.
Why is everybody so big on 2 and 0?
With 17 weeks.
Because right now that's a great start, especially comparing what the giants got going on.
And it's like it's not like they haven't been through this before of like winning.
Like we've actually seen the Eagles win.
So it's like if I'm an Eagles fan and you're saying Giants are going to take the whole division, I'm pissed.
Because what do you mean?
I've seen the Giants win too.
And you were alive.
Well, you're paying attention than not.
You were alive for the Giants to win too.
I've seen it.
I'm going with it, man.
I think it's going to be all right for James, man.
He's a little gunsling, and the whole problem is he needs to cut back on his interceptions.
He takes a lot of chances, y'all.
And I like that.
Pause.
I like that.
Yeah.
Okay.
Comments, let us know what y'all think who's going to take the division is early right now,
so it's time to put in your picks, and we'll see if y'all end up correct two.
So on to some basketball.
So the Pistons and Jalen Dern spent the offseason at a stalemate over a reported five-year,
$190 million contract proposal.
Then the team went back and increased its offer to $200 million, which he has not accepted.
Insiders are saying it's because he's feeling disrespected by the organization.
Mace, after hearing that and then just these troubles that they're going through,
do you think that it's crazy of Jayland Duren to reject the offer?
Not, not, I think it is.
$200 million is still a lot of money.
How much is he trying to get?
I think 260.
And they're giving them how much?
Trying to give him $200 million.
60 is a big difference, but I don't know.
I can't tell another man what to do with his money, especially in Detroit.
If you could land $200 million in Detroit, you know how blessed you would have to be, man.
This is a big deal.
And I just think, but I also can't tell him.
and turn down 60 of his own million
because I know this time
I wouldn't come out on stage,
pause for,
if they didn't have my extra 100,
I need the 100.
So I can only imagine.
You mean it was a time.
It's still a time right now.
It was a time.
It's still a time.
Yes, I'm not in no place to tell a man
he can't have his money.
think he need $2.80, they need to come up with the other extra 80. If I was him, I would get it.
But, you know, I'm thinking about in the city of Detroit, $200 million is a lot of money. The housing
is not that big. But when it comes to the money that belonged to him, this is his money.
He worked hard for you. He's been playing basketball since he was five years old, laying a ball
up with the left hand and the right hand, running suicide, you know, taking strength
condition.
Pause.
He got to get paid, man.
I'm an advocate of it.
You know, I didn't do due diligence,
but we would have to see probably,
you know, he's playing center.
We would have to see what other centers
are averaging as far as,
I'm not talking about points or nothing,
I'm talking about salary.
You think about this, right?
He's an all-star.
He averages 19.5 points,
10.5 rebounds on 65%
and shooting from the field?
They're done with some really, really good numbers.
Now, when I watched them in the playoffs,
maybe that's why they're holding back on it
because, you know, when they got to the second round
and all that, it's like, yeah, I don't know.
I don't know.
It's the All-Star, nigger.
I would like to know his playoff numbers
what he was averaging in the playoffs,
but his regular season numbers,
20 points, 11 rebounds, 65% from the field.
and then probably held it down
when Cunningham went out.
You're 40 million a year.
You know, we got to see what's going on
with the averages for other centers.
Now, we can't compare him to the Joker or MB
to anybody like that.
You know, I would put centers.
When you think about centers, right?
You think about Bam.
You think about Joel M.B.
You think about the Joker.
Call Anthony Towns.
He's a champion.
Put him in there.
Rudy O'Bear, I guess, defensive specialists.
Who are the best centers?
It's 32 teams.
I'm trying to think of 10-7.
Joker is the best center.
No, no, I'm saying.
I'm trying to think a 10 center is better than him.
And I can give you the list of the salary out there.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
Do you think he should be getting paid more than Joel?
Joel is getting about 187?
For how many years?
Three years?
Do the math.
Oh, yeah.
Okay, so let me break it down because I have the numbers here.
60 a year.
He should be at 62 million a year.
So with his 200 million, he would be getting paid 50 a year, or 40 a year.
40 a year.
And so 80 is getting 58.5 million.
Then Yokic is getting 55.2.
Kat is getting 55.1.
M. Bid, 53.3.
Sangoon, 37 mil.
Gobert, 36.5 mil.
Bam, 32.6 mil.
And then Hartenstein is 29 million.
So I think that's a good number because that would put them forth in paying salary if we're talking centers.
It's only three other people getting more than 40 million a year.
Yes.
That's what Detroit is saying.
Come on, bro.
Yeah, come on.
Come on, nigger.
You didn't show up in the playoffs.
Yeah, come on, nigga.
You're going to be trying to get forward.
Work with me.
I'm working with you.
Yeah, exactly.
Because that's a big drop from what you said.
It was A.D., Joker, then.
Cat and Bede.
Yeah, and then after that, it drops down like 37.
And Cat won a championship.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So he's a 51 million.
What I'm saying is after that 51 million, it drops to 37.
Yep.
So they put them right up there in the top five.
They put them close.
It's cool.
Well, do you have them as a top five center?
That's another question.
No, no, not the way that they lost last year in the playoffs.
And that's why in the playoffs, listen to me, young kids out there, the playoffs is where you make
your money.
That's where you become a household name.
It doesn't matter how good you was in the regular season.
The stars are made in the playoffs and you got to win.
This is when you get the same, work the money.
This is why Kat got cashed out.
This is why your boy, you know, Joker got paid.
If you want to get paid during, you got to win games,
and you got to win when they count.
You can't just win the games that don't count
and then not show up when it does count, you know,
and not make an excuse for not winning.
And I don't understand how people get paid 70 million
and they can't take over the game, you know?
Guys asking for trades, you know, shooting 17% from three.
You want to know what's up with the trade.
Average in three.
Yeah, averaging three and four points.
What's up with the trade?
You tell me what's up with the trade.
The entitlement is crazy.
The entitlement is at an all-time hour.
What do you think, Statt?
No, you're right.
Entitement is crazy.
I think it's a generation, too.
I saw a girl, she says, she only date providers.
I said, only date providers.
This is crazy.
She only date providers.
Providers and protectors.
So you don't want no protection or nothing else.
She just wants.
providers.
It's crazy out here.
It's crazy all across the board, honestly.
It really is.
Cam, you don't have them as a top five center just to...
Who's the top ten?
You know, no, you think about this.
Look, you just said it.
All right, let's just...
Who's the top three paid, right?
A.D., Yokeach, and Cap.
And then...
And B.
That's four right there.
Yep.
I got BAM and Wimby over him, too.
Yeah.
That's already six.
And then what about homeway from Houston?
Sangoon.
He's fifth on this list.
It's 37.
That's the one that's the one that dropped the 37.
But the way he played in the playoffs last year, shit.
I don't know.
There's no way in the world they should have been getting bumped in the first round.
Yeah.
Okay.
Well, we will see if the pistons figure it out because, I mean,
and even down to his reasoning,
feeling like he was disrespectful by the organization.
Actually, before I move on from this,
what's your opinion on that, like his reasoning?
Because I know we're, like, going based off like, okay, he's not top five.
He's not even, like, the main player on the team because obviously, you know, it's Cade and then just in comparison.
But him saying disrespect, is that a good enough reason where you're kind of like, nah, nah, y'all got to pay me if y'all want me to stay?
Or you feel like you might have to suck it up for that price.
You got to show up.
It's good money, right?
It's not like it's a poor contract.
It's not like they try to play you.
But he feels disrespect.
So I don't know what is he basing it upon, you know.
It could be that they kept the team around when Kay was out, right?
So they kept the team winning at some capacity.
But you got to go all the way, pause.
You got to go all the way there if you're going to get paid the big bucks.
If you want to get paid like the guy, you got to do what comes with that.
I got to watch my words, pause, because I see Cam over there.
I'm telling.
Revenge.
going.
I'm chilling.
I'm chilling.
But that's a good point
what you said.
I would love to know.
What is he basing it on?
Yeah.
Before we get to that,
you made a great point.
Between the coaching staff
and I would like to know,
I don't have the stat in front of me,
but how much he averaged
when Kade was out?
And they stayed in first place
when Kade went out
with that collapsed lungs.
So he may be like,
nigger, who was holding it down
the time he was out.
I think that's how.
an excellent point and he may feel like that.
But he made another great point.
Mason's really having his moments this season so far.
I know it's early, but he made another great point
when he talked about,
damn, what the fuck I'm going to say?
But basically him.
Oh, yeah, they're playing him.
He was at 22 and 11.
When Kate wasn't there.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
And not only, you have good coaches staffs some credit too.
But that's what I was going to say,
you made another great point
when you say
you make your name in the playoffs.
Yeah.
You make your name in the playoffs.
So,
I don't know about
they played them,
but these days,
these young niggas,
anything that could be felt
like they got played.
You don't,
you don't know what the fuck
be your niggas' mind, man,
so.
Yeah, good friend.
Yeah, 200 million ain't bad, though.
I mean.
Ain't bad.
That's great.
And he's only 22.
Yeah, so you play good.
you'll get two more these contracts.
Crazy.
But Jalen Duren, we'll see what happens
and stay tuned as they release more updates.
Like I said, he's only 22.
Got a lot ahead of him, so we will see.
So on the topic of money talk
and these contract negotiations and things,
Tyrese Halliburton said,
and he was talking about his wedding,
he said multiple artists wanted 750K
for a 30-minute performance at his wedding,
but he said 50 cent actually pulled up
and performed for free.
So in return, he took care of the accommodations, and he said,
it's love like this that makes him family.
I forever got his back forever for doing this for me.
So just hearing this, and I think you guys can give a lot of insight of this,
and just like artist performances, performing at weddings,
and what cases are you like, okay, this is something like where you don't charge,
or do you feel like a charge needs to be done regardless?
Because from the athlete's perspective, he's just like, dang, it's my wedding.
Why don't you come?
On the other perspective.
I want to hear Cam's approach on this.
It's a wedding, Cam, are you doing the wedding for free?
It depends on how cool you are.
It's not even a big conversation.
If you my man, yeah, pause, I'm gonna come to your wedding
and do it for free.
You know, it's not a problem.
Or if I think I want a favor from you another time
and I need you to show up somewhere for me,
if I'm doing something, then I say, yo, you know what,
I got this event when you guys,
all not plan come through.
Like, it depends on the relationship
that you have with the artists.
So when Tyrese Halliburton says that,
it's a couple of things you have to keep in mind.
Everybody's not getting the money
their 50 centers getting.
Some people want, they need their money
if you want them to be there.
50's getting a lot of money
from a lot of different avenues.
So he can afford to come there for free.
And I see, like I said,
50 out of residency, I went to
out here at Fountain Blue,
who was in the,
in this section, Tyrese Halliburton, hanging out.
You know what I'm saying?
That's his man.
So when he says 50, when Tyrese Halliburton
is saying 50 came for free,
I don't think he's doing the right justice
explaining that they have a friendship.
It isn't, you all think about this,
there's no disrespect to Tyrese Highburn,
definitely front of the show, you know,
he came up here, that's my nigga.
And I've seen him with the 50 shit
where he was chilling.
But what you gotta realize is this,
and I don't mean no disrespect
what I'm about to say.
is you got a thinking from this,
Tyrese Halliburton, Wayn coming on.
Yeah, I think I need to perform at Tyrese Halliburton wetting
and it's going to be crazy.
Yo, see if you could get me in there.
Nah, nobody's saying that, bro.
Nobody's going to be like,
yo, we got to get up in that how Tyrese Halliburton went
and we got to grab the mic.
If we get on in there, it's going to be wow.
We get up in that joint.
Nobody's saying that.
And I don't mean any disrespect to you
what I'm saying that.
You have a relationship with that person
and I don't think that you're explaining
to the audience when you're saying,
yo, 50 pulled up for free.
It wasn't like he was just looking on the web
and was like, Tala Burr.
Tala Burr.
Y'all think we need to get fuck with it.
Y'all are friends.
Not only that, 50 does business with the Paces arena.
That's how, I'm not sure if that's how y'all became friends
or not, but his liquor, so for people that don't know,
50's liquor brand,
is in several arenas, whether it be football or basketball.
The Pacers are one of the arenas.
I know the Sacramento Arena with the Kings another arena.
So when you go in there and you want cognate,
that's the only cognate to get.
Very smart.
I'm not sure if y'all got cool before or after that.
I know Star, 50's manager knows a lot of people
who've got to connect the dots.
It's cool.
But don't just be like 50 showed up out of nowhere,
like y'all not friends.
That's what I thought to say.
Yeah, it wasn't, I mean, but that's cool that he did it for free, you know.
I was thinking if he probably called somebody in Atlanta, that's probably where he got that
750 from. Everybody from Atlanta needed to get paid.
Because I'm thinking, who are the artists that could really be worth, 750?
It was probably all South artists.
And yeah, you're going to have to pay those guys because they're trappers, you know.
is corporate these days.
He's getting a lot of money.
I ain't counting his pocket.
I ain't pocket watching.
My pocket kind of big these days too.
But I wouldn't have did it for free.
I can't do nothing.
You know, we had to figure something out.
I would have wanted to be nice, but, you know.
Well, listen, you got to think about this, right?
When you say $7.50, like you say, it has to be a decent.
of artists who can charge $750.
But I will say this.
Price goes up on wedding and barmishers.
It's just the way it is, man.
I charge...
Bar Misfar's a lot of bread.
Yeah, listen, I charged two for a wedding before.
It's just the way it goes, man.
Yo, yo, I would really love for you to be there
when I met her.
I said, hey, ma'am.
She said, what's up?
I said, let's slide.
It's our whole childhood, Kim.
You don't even realize it.
man.
I'm telling you,
I'm like,
if I'm going to capture
a moment for you
and you want me there,
let's pay like you're capturing
a moment.
So I understand.
The way I'm taking notes,
I'm like,
if I have a wedding,
Mason can will not be
performing for free.
I didn't say that.
They said that.
I definitely can't perform at your wedding.
I'm coming in an unc status.
Yeah, for you start.
Yeah.
Yeah, for you, Stad, we bring out the white robe and all that, Stats.
Yeah, y'all need the drills in there for your way.
I just see somebody do a wedding and probably, it was about six, seven months ago,
and they came out the bride and groom after it was over when they walked down.
They were singing, I really mean it walking down to Allen.
I'm like, that's funny.
That's fine.
Yeah, it was fine.
It was super fire.
And all the, I don't know what you call, the bridesmaids and the groom.
Yeah.
The people that's with the groom, what you call them, niggis?
Like the groomsman.
Groomsman.
I don't know.
I didn't get married.
He said, what you call him?
Yeah, the mick's the deal.
He's having a little battle with the song that was dope.
No, that's super fire.
Yeah, when they come to weddings, I really don't charge.
I was just saying that for jokes, but I wouldn't charge.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Not your way, I'm...
Listen, you gotta realize most of the time
when these people are doing during weddings,
They want to remember why they got together.
If I'm part of reason, I need to be compensated.
All are funny.
Well, yes, great context to the Halliburton conversation.
Shout out 50 for doing it for free because of the relationship.
That's pretty cool.
There's another quote by Halliburton where he was talking about flying private.
We will discuss if we think it's worth it or not after the break.
Welcome to stinking about it's toxic
Welcome back. So on the topic of all of her in.
Real quick since we're here.
I want to go to a video.
I want to go to a video.
I want to go to a video.
And you know what?
This is not a pause moment.
This is not revenge pause or anything like that.
I came across this clip, right?
And I know that we're a little older.
We're talking about Mason myself,
even though we still probably the flyest niggas
that you're going to meet at this age, man.
And if not the flies, we could have what you called
the cash-out battle.
Yeah.
You want to have to sell cash-up battle.
whatever you want to call it.
But a lot of people don't know.
Like, you know, we always talk about how big of a superstar Mace was coming up, so on and so forth.
And I came across this clip, and I wanted to play this clip on the show for people that only know Mace.
And I don't not say only, but mainly been seeing him just on this podcast and didn't understand the level of superstar that he was.
So I didn't want to have beef today, pause, pours Arby's, pause the song all that.
And I wanted to give them his flowers because people don't know.
Nick, can we play this clip?
We're performing even though you were not feeling too good,
but you are performing tonight.
This, No Way Out Tour, amazing.
It's an exciting group.
So is this weird for you?
Ladies, remember.
It's okay.
Wait, we gotta know, do you have a lady friend?
No, I don't have a lady friend.
I'm sorry, I didn't hear you.
No, I don't have a lady friend.
Honey, a hug.
Can she have a hug, me?
Yeah, she can have a hug.
Do it too much.
That ain't even that nigger boy.
You know, you can't even
turn it on.
You can't even really get the gist from that video
of how much it was super duper.
People in that audience crying, shaking,
didn't know what to do with themselves.
And as you can see, he talked a little lighter
and even slower.
Yeah, she gets a husband.
Those girls that was next to him, he just let them come up from the crowd to stand by him.
Like, it was super duble.
I came across that clip to say, y'all really don't understand.
You had to actually be there.
And even though the video, you get some justice from it, but you don't really get the aura of what was going on.
So I put out a clip today, man.
Yeah, yeah.
It was like that.
Yeah, it was like that.
It was like that.
Do you remember that moment or do you have just so many moments that you kind of forget some of those instances?
No, I remember that moment because that's when I think I hurt my foot and I had my foot in a cast.
And it was like, you still got to come perform in the garden.
Yeah.
It was crazy.
Yeah, you had a show that night actually too.
And on tour, there's no way out tour.
But Larry, what you was about to say about?
Real quick, though.
And I don't mean the handle on anything.
What is there no way out?
I just thought about that.
I said no way out.
Oh, shit, I just thought about that.
There's no way out to it.
My bad, bro.
Yeah, that was crazy.
Which was going to ask.
I was going to ask, if you, if you got married,
would you let Pastor Mace direct your funeral?
I mean, I mean, I'm sorry
I'm sorry, my bad
Would you like with you?
Would you do the wedding?
Would you do the wedding?
My bad, the wedding.
He called a wedding of funeral.
Yes.
Mary got a chair.
Appreciate the wedding.
No.
No.
No.
But maybe it is.
No.
No.
I think of myself, this thing is never getting married.
But would you let Pastor Mace?
If he's going to do what Shug did, then, yeah, absolutely.
What did Shook do?
Yeah, what did Shook do?
I see.
No.
It's in the news now.
Let's past week.
Michelle A, so Michelle A wants to divorce because they never got a divorce,
her in Shug.
And Shook said, bitch, we was never married.
Did you do that's a real way?
He said, you've been free.
to go do whatever you want.
So you're like one of those ceremonies
when you're not really doing.
Yeah, like if I found a right joint
and she wanted to do the ceremony
and all that,
if I find a right joy,
but when we get up to them,
to the pastor or the reverend whoever,
them vows cannot count.
I'm not doing that paperwork, baby.
I'm not.
I thought it was the paperwork, though.
Yeah, you got to do the paperwork.
You don't do the paperwork.
You could go up there and be like,
yo.
Yeah, yeah.
I guess that's what Michelle Lait thought.
They didn't have no paperwork?
Listen, I don't know the deed.
It's in the news now, like it's the last week.
She's been talking about she wanted divorce.
And Shook said, yo, we was never really married.
Wow.
Go rock out.
Yeah, you got to sign the paperwork the next day.
Yeah, so.
Yeah, if you do the wedding, but you don't have no paperwork,
you was never married.
Yeah, I'm not, look, a piece of paper kid.
Does that count for you though as a pastor?
No, you, I mean, you actually would have to sign.
it if you do the officier
so that he wouldn't even
I forgot what they call it
they call it something
whatever they call it
listen a piece of paper
not defarning my love
why my love
gotta be defined by paperwork
I ain't doing it
if you love me you love me man
now we gotta go put this love on paper
so shit goes
what you think stat
shit go left I get half of what you got
you putting yours on paper
absolutely that's the point
that's the point
That's the point.
But see, Statt is going to put it on paper because she's not going with the trash man
or a nigga who's going to be, who needs money to help out.
She's made that obviously clear that she's not looking for that kind of love.
Oh, she's looking for financial stability.
I didn't even say that.
I'm looking for true love and somebody that I think matches me.
True love with shares.
That matches you financially.
financially.
As a whole.
So what if you got less money than you?
I've never dealt with that before.
I don't know.
Oh, you're one of them, you only date providers.
No, I didn't say that.
I'm saying I've never dealt with that,
so I don't know how that would turn out.
I don't know.
I'm open.
I'm not going to say no.
I feel like that's shallow, but I don't know.
Well, I guess we'll figure it out.
Shoot, I don't know.
but you could officiate my wedding
that's crazy stat not crazy
I don't know I'm guys I'm 25
I'm learning I'm gonna meet people
I have no idea so I guess we'll wait and see
Stan listen let me tell you sir right
this how this is go you're 25 absolutely
I'm how you did so I'm 22
yeah time flies y'all time flies
25
they're 28
it goes fast people don't know
man oh i feel that already i like have a cutoff that i'm hoping will work but we'll see what's your cutoff date
what's your cutoff date i don't know because i want like i'm gonna want children at a certain age so
like i got to get married oh so that's why you get married to have children um yeah okay no i'm
just asking no yeah i'm answering i thought about it yeah so you get married first hopefully
Hopefully.
But you can't predict the future.
I don't want that to happen.
But my plan, my goal, is to get married first and then have children.
And I want children younger, I think.
I don't know.
So we'll see.
You got to think right now, right?
Yeah.
This is how I did my math.
Right now, if you got pregnant, I'm not wishing nothing on you if you're not ready.
Yeah.
If you got pregnant right now, you got pregnant right now,
You'll be 26 when you have your baby.
So you're going to be 40-something
by time they're independent.
That's on you if you want to be in your 50s
going to parent-teacher conferences and all that.
That happens to a lot of people too.
That's a good way to look at it, Cam.
Yeah, that's how I looked at it.
Because look, my son, my son is 25, right?
And I said to myself,
after he got about, I wanted him I have a brother and sister,
But after he got about six or seven, maybe eight,
I was like the age gap's going to be too big
for them to really be cool.
And then I started doing math.
I'm like, do I really want to be going to the park at 60?
You know what I'm saying?
Do I want to be going to pair of teacher?
My son's self-sufficient.
He's on his own.
He gets his own money.
This thing is a world traveler.
Great job.
Listen, man, my whole 40s and 50s is lit.
I ain't got to be no way
I got no responsibility
I mean you never stop being a father
of course
I'm saying like self-sufficient
yeah
yeah that's something to think about us that
I mean it's a lot to think about
and I try not to think about it
because even though I'm only 25
would be like dang am I running out of time
and I'm like no
I was 24
I was 24 that's honestly to me like
like a good age because my mom had me
24 or 25 or something like that
and I know when you have children
at least I'm thinking
my career would have to be put on pause
That's a lot of things.
That's a lot of things.
I think about it all the time, I'm also not in a rush.
So we will see what happens and how it plays out.
How it's supposed to, because as long as you have a healthy pregnancy,
that's all I care about.
You know what I want to say real quick.
I know we got a move on.
I want to give a shout out to my son's mother
because I see a lot of messy girlfriends,
ex-girlfriends and baby mothers and everybody else.
And I'm not saying we have the best or worst relationship,
but she's not out here.
trying to bash the niggins.
Yeah, she never embarrassed you.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you know what I'm saying?
There's a lot of girls to be out here
just semi-trying to barrage you, man.
I got to say that about all the females that I dealt with,
especially her, because she's, you know, her,
we knew her since she's 9, 10 years old.
So for her not to put none of our business out there,
I salute her, even ex-girlfriends that I dealt with
that y'all may know about or don't know about,
salute to them.
You know, only people that go out there talk shit about me
there's just bitches that were slotted off
that thought they were somebody.
Now they're trying to get their two cents.
But all my girlfriends,
but all my girlfriends,
they kept it real cool
and it didn't necessarily leave
on a good note.
What I was going to say back,
the last thing I'll say is because you was talking about work, right?
And one thing that my son's mother
was always mad at me about for years.
And I'll thank you for what I'm about to say for holding it there.
As I was shooting paid her full when my son was born.
And I missed him being born because she called me like,
I'm in labor, but you shot Pader Full in Toronto.
So as soon as I finished shooting that day, I took a jet back.
And I got there probably about five, six hours late.
And I stayed for a day or two and then I went back to shooting.
But then, you know, when you break up,
you was like, you wasn't even here when your child was born and all that.
So, but sorry about not being there because that's very good, very, very, you know, that only happens once or twice in a lifetime, if twice.
So thanks for holding it down.
Thanks for not exposing me.
I don't know what you expose me about, but I appreciate you and just tell you not, thanks for not being messy because niggas exes is real messy out here.
Yeah.
You bringing that up, that that's kind of like not specifically going to shoot a movie, but that's a debate right now.
They were asking women how they would feel about their partner missing, going to,
to the Super Bowl to go to see the birth of their child,
like which one is more important?
And someone of the women were saying,
like, I carried this baby for nine months,
like, you better be here for the birth,
but then some people were like, it's the Super Bowl.
This is like a once in a lifetime opportunity.
So when you said that, that's kind of what I thought of,
because some opportunities are-
I mean, she called me, it wasn't like,
I didn't know she's doing labor.
I left someone like that.
Yeah.
But like, you ever remember that show on Hoop Dreams?
Yeah.
So that's probably like the first reality show
for people that don't know.
It's a show called Hoop Jr.'s just really, really good.
Filed these kids around for four years.
But he was a senior high school, one of the basketball players,
and he missed the birth for his, he might have missed the birth of his son.
His girl's pregnant when he's in high school.
I remember, the reason I remember that was stab board up,
and she was like, he might miss the birth to his son.
He's talking about, he's like, state championships.
You just got to understand that.
You don't go down state that often because they're from Chicago.
he's like she's just going to have to understand that and I'm like wow it's crazy but also at the same
time when you know what somebody does you have to accept that too because I think trying to make
somebody change the things that you know is in their description like they're going to go do that
so it shouldn't be too much of a shock if those opportunities come to them so that's my two sense
there but back to Halliburton because he had another quotable so he was saying he doesn't understand
how people who are making less money than him are able to fly private he said
said flying private is a little ridiculous. When I was getting these quotes for flying private,
I had to call my financial advisor. Like, am I missing something? I know I make way more than this
guy and he's flying private every time. I can't do that every time. It makes me sick. So one,
what's your opinion on what he said? And then what is an expense that either like you've
previously had or see people do a lot that you just think is completely unnecessary?
He made an excellent point when he was talking about flying private, right? Because when you think
about the money he's making, he could fly private. I mean, there's people that do exceptionally
well. Some people choose to fly private because it goes with their business ventures.
Sometimes people are flying private because their other ventures are paying for those flights.
It's not necessarily coming out of their pocket. But he's mainly talking about the athletes or
the people that are flying private because they have to do it for this girl, right? This girl
that they're trying to impress, they're putting on PJs,
they're flying across the world, you know, to make her look, you know,
make her pleased with the person when she really doesn't like them.
That's always a telltale sign when they come to guys.
Like when a girl doesn't really like you, you got to do the most.
The guy that she really likes, he really doesn't have to do nothing.
And it's always embarrassing when you find out how less somebody did that was with your girl.
is just always heartbreaking when you recognize.
He just bought a piece of, he was just over there with ice cream,
and he got everything that you spent millions for.
It's sad.
We was talking to somebody about this topic yesterday,
and they made a very good point.
It's one thing to be able to fly private,
and what he said was,
it's one thing to be able to fly private,
and it's another thing to afford to fly private.
Can you fly private if you got the money?
Yeah, you can you.
could fly private, but is that really in your budget?
You get what I'm saying?
Like, we all can fly private right now.
If we need to go bust a move right now, we can go fly private.
I'm not count Mace Park.
I'm just saying it's not a big deal.
But from, let's just say from California to New York, there's $50,000 one way.
So if you want to go around trip, let's say you got to go a trip, and you want to do that
every weekend.
That's $400,000 a month.
I'm just giving, I don't know people's schedule level.
I'm just giving an example, right?
Let's just say, round it off, $400,000 a month.
So you're looking at little less than $5 million a year flying profit.
Is that in your budget?
And do you know how much you're getting paid to go against that?
You know what I'm saying?
So you're sitting there, and I'm not going to say who we're talking to or what we're talking about,
but people got to do their homework on their financials.
They see rappers or whatever.
I need to fly.
I'm going to fly private.
I'm doing it.
Is it in your budget?
That's the real question.
That's the question.
Is it in your budget?
If it's in your budget, understood.
I get it.
But if it's not in your budget, cool.
You know, I was talking, I'm not going to say his name either.
I'm talking to somebody who flies private a lot.
And they was asking me, they say,
Kim, how often you fly private?
I say, when I need to, an emergency, I'll go private.
I remember when I was super duper late,
I was, the private, because the thing about flying private, it's an addiction.
For real, once you start flying private, the comfortability,
sometimes in the airport just remind me a grand central.
There's a mess in there sometimes.
TSA, the shoes all shoes on, back through the,
then you said people keep sneezing.
Look, this is just a mess sometimes.
So once you fly private, the comfortability of going to the airport,
not getting searched really.
You just get on the flight.
Then if you catch a cool pilot,
if you smoke weed, he'll let you smoke weed.
You want to watch TV?
You can lay down.
It gets really addictive.
And I remember I was flying private
for two and three years straight.
And it got to the point where I didn't necessarily need to do it.
I'm flying private dolo.
I'm not even with nobody.
I'm just on there by myself coming from Ohio back to New York or whatever.
But like, I didn't even need to do it,
but I didn't want to deal with the airport.
It's about, you know, like I said,
I'll just sum it up with this.
One thing being able to do it,
and it's another thing if you can afford to do it.
Some people are doing it, but can't afford to do it,
and then when they pockets ain't right,
they're looking at somebody else to go get them some more money.
But you shall like it.
Private, I like to look around and see other people.
I don't like being on a plane, and there's nobody there.
Like, I remember camera.
trying to vouch for me to do some semi-private thing.
I declined it.
I was like, look, I'm going on the other plane because I can see other people.
Like, I'm good up here.
I can't do it.
But I love that.
Y'all love that.
Is there any other expenses that you feel like are just unnecessary that you feel like maybe
like it shouldn't be that price or you see a lot of people invest into this or maybe
something in the past that you had to pay for you?
You're like, I don't understand why we got to pay for this.
Another expense?
Yeah.
That you don't have to do?
That you don't understand why people pay for it.
You feel like it's unnecessary.
Because his is private planes.
It's too broad of a question because everybody got habits.
Depends on what your habit is.
A lot of people have it is not mandatory, but you got a habit.
You know what I'm saying?
So it depends on what your habit is.
Sometimes I go buy a car.
I buy jewelry and I'll be like, why?
Where am I going?
I don't even be able to.
around me. You know, when you're younger, when you younger, you got to buy a car on the
jewelry to go shit. You got a shit on, you guys. You got to. You got to, man. It's mandatory
when you younger. Like, nah, niggas, you know, I think I talked about this on the previous
show. You got to, but like, I'm sitting there other day, right? This is a real story. I'll just
tell you the story. And I'm like, I have a few cars. I'm like,
This is my birthday.
So it was a few months ago.
I'm like, I'm gonna buy a Rose Royce for my birthday today.
I said, where am I going?
Like, yo, I don't even got nobody to shit on it
and I don't got no bitches to impress.
I drive around all day and I'm not gonna tell y'all
what I drive around on day, but it's similar to a minivan.
I got Bentley's Lamborghinis, I don't type of shit
and I'm trying to hide.
I'm not even trying to show off no more.
I'm trying to hide.
Now, don't get it fucked up.
If I need to pull up somewhere,
I got the vehicles to pull up somewhere.
Yo, yo, I swear everything I love, right?
I'm in Miami the other day in my crib.
So I got an IBMW and shit that I bought earlier this year.
I walk into my shit, because my shit is valet.
My building got valet.
So I'm like, just give me the cal you feel like waiting.
So I don't really be there in the garage.
The valet brings it.
Dead ass.
That's worth everything I love.
I'm going through there and get my car,
he telling you, I look to the right, I'm like,
oh, I got an Audi.
I forgot I got a fucking Pink Audi.
Just been sitting there for three years.
That's fucking Audi is just sitting there.
I forgot I had it.
I got fucking two cars and I don't even be these places, man.
What am I doing?
So when you say it like other expenses,
sometime I'm giving myself an example,
I get tempted because I'm like,
nah, that chain looked nice or this car,
but then it's like, where am I going?
I don't really have nowhere to go.
And when I do have somewhere to go,
I already have the jewelry in the cars to go there.
Now, sometimes I'm gonna treat myself,
don't get me wrong, what it's like, wish your habits.
Now I'm looking in, and I've been doing this last few years,
I'm looking at how you gotta think about
how your money can make money for you.
You got five, six, seven, ten, twelve, thirteen, fourteen,
fourteen, fifteen, fifteen, twenty, forty, fifty,
fifty million in the bank.
Your money should be making money for you.
That's the play for me.
So at this age.
So to answer your question, I know I was all over the place a little bit, I can't tell you
what some things people have.
Who knows?
Some niggas may have a midget fetish that they ship in every fucking week.
I don't know what niggis happens is.
It depends on what your habits is to say that it's unnecessary.
That's a good point.
And also a good financial lesson for people who are hearing this too because your money should
be making more money.
So hey, you guys, hopefully you guys.
guys are taking notes because we learn a lot up here at the same time. Look at the bank right now
they're giving 4 to 5% on your money a year and then if you find the right insurance company too
they're giving 10% so just use the numbers for example right let's just say you got let's just use
both numbers right if you got 10 million dollars in the bank that you can't know him you're going
can't touch it and you're going to use the bank in 5% you got 500,000 a year coming to you
that cover the bills everywhere you have a few
or if you got the 10% you got a million dollars and now you don't really have to spend no
other money that comes in unless you could splurge you know what I'm saying but you leave that in there
and that can take care of your shit forever or until they change the percentages up
okay y'all well that is all the time that we have for today thank y'all for watching and as always
it is what it is somebody should have told dame dash that
