We're great. We've got to talk about these games, right? And I think it's only fair we start with a prediction because, Cam, the people want to know. The people want to know. Yeah, they want to know. And now we've got these games coming up. So tonight, the Spurs will play the Thunder,

and the Thunder leads the series three to two. So tonight, May is going to let you go first. Who do you think wins tonight's game? Well, you know, I want to hear Cam's take first because this is his team. This is his team. He said this is his team. But I'm going to put a disclaimer out there.

He did say that this team is a younger team and they need some time. Maybe this is the year they need that time. Or maybe it's the year, you know, when we come back with his fist pumped, you know, pause. It might be crazy. I don't know. If it goes game seven, I don't know.

know who wins it. Well, the whole thing about I already told you who my second team is, so there's no losses for me at all. Who's your second team, Cam? Who's your second team? I said it a few weeks ago. I already said who my second team is. I'm going to walk off if you say who I think of.

It's okay. Me and PT said the OKC in my second team. We can go to the tape. We go to the tape. We go to the tape. second team was. The mediocrity. The mediocrity.

It's crazy. It's gotten crazy. So, even way, it's okay with me. I already claimed the second team. I didn't have papers like stat or anything, but. Maybe we need to bring back the papers for everybody because I can't keep track. It's that. It's that.

It's like I feel like maybe I'm delusional. I feel like it's fair in different conferences, but the same one, no. I don't know what to believe. I don't know what to believe. My team on the East Coast is the next. All right.

I really believe SGA was really, really, really upset that they broke that 20-point game winning streak. And he had to come back and get his name back. You got to get your name back, SGA. And I'm going to say, I'm just going to go out on the limb pause. I think SGA wins in six. I don't even think it goes to seven. I think he's filling the idea of him going back to back. And if it ever was the time to do it, now is the time to do it.

I think if they end up going back for a game seven, is anybody serious. And I know that's like, you know, anybody could say that, but I don't think anybody have the advantage in the game seven with this kind of series because it's been so back and forth. And it's been like really, really like definitive wins on each side. So you don't know which team is going to show up that day. But, you know, this will be the time to get it done. Okay.

So you're going with O.K.C. You're going with O.K.C. Okay, got it. Cam. I'm not sure. This is a good question, stat. Everybody saying before this series started that this series was going to go seven games and a lot of people pick OKC to win their seven games. Watching last game, Wemby looked really fatigued.

He looked tired. And I said this previously that they are really, really lacking a power for a position. Like, I'm not saying this particular player, but they're missing a Julius Randall type player. They're really running four-garde offensive because of Wemby's height.

They're depending on him to get a majority the rebounds, but what's going on is hiring is keeping them out the paint. The games that they keep them out to paint are the games that OKC wins. Shot 4 for 15, ended up 20 points. You know, he ended up being a lot of points from the free throw line, but that's not going to cut it for them to be OKC. And what they're doing

is they're using the bodies against Wendy. What really made me nervous for the Spurs to be totally honest with you is that they won in a decent fashion without J. Dub player and without AJ playing, AJ Mitchell, So at the end of the day, without those two playing, you're letting McCain go crazy,

fingernail, polish crazy, and you got Wallace, they got a lot of different bodies. And it looked like they pretty much got to figure out. You know, you really can't say because Shay's expression is the same win or lose.

He has a poker face. So if I had to pick tonight's game, only because I believe the seven-game series, I'm going to say the Spurs. But last game, they look really defeated, talking about the Spurs. They look fatigued, especially Wembe, and it's looking like they're a little too big. To be honest with you, I would rather see, and as much as this is my team, I love the Spurs.

They have to go get a power for it. They can't depend on Wemby to get all the rebounds, or they're going to have to start playing the other sentences that they got with Kelly O'Lennick, Mason Plumley. You know, do you have a few bodies? I don't know what they're looking like because Mitch doesn't get. give them any burn. They haven't been getting any burn in the playoffs. So just depending on when he goes out, Cornett to be in there, it's not going to suffice. And especially to me, if you end up playing the Knicks, it's too many bodies. You got Kat already. Then off the bench, you got

Mitchell Robertson. Not only that, it's really no answer for OG at the power four position. It's a lot of big bodies that they have to deal with. And Wemby's not going to be able to get every rebair. seems like he should. This reminds me a lot of this Bulls team in the 90s. They couldn't get over the hump with the pistons. And Michael Joy had to do a lot of work in the offseason to overcome that. I think that's what's going to happen with the Spurs. Of course, I'm really rooting.

On jokes aside, I'm really rooting for the Spurs. I want them to win. I want them to go to championship. I want them to win the championship. But if I'm analyzing this from just looking at these games, I can tell fatigue is starting to kick in. they're a little bit younger and they need a power forward desperately. It's been working for them all year with a foreguard offense.

So I understand it. They're saying, listen, we won 30-7 games last year. And now we won 62 games in one year. So it's been working. They're the second best record in the NBA. So why are we questioning it? We're questioning it because in the seven-game series, we see teams like OKC making adjustments to your roster.

And it looks good. You think about the first game, right? this is three two series right but this series because of the models might have been over the first game you go in double overtime but look at all the miracles when we had to do it and double overtime he can't get 42 and 24 emails every game we would love them too but is it realistic you know he broke a lot of records you know I think him and will chamber chamber chamber chamber chamber somebody else can't remember who but that was a record breaking game and that even went into double overtime to get that win So it's a toll task to ask. If I ask if you ask for me who wins tonight, I'm going to go with Spurs because I just think it's a seven-game series. But if OKC did win, I wouldn't be surprised. Okay.

Yeah, I'm surprised that, like, even when it comes to this Spurs team, like he said, they got three other seven-footers, and none of them are really contributing. That's really the difference. You would think with those kind of guys that one of them would be able to give you 10 points or at least 10 rebounds, but they're not. And I would also say that Fox. They're not even getting the minutes to contribute. That's the problem.

Not to cut you off, my apologies. But yeah, they got to get the minutes. Not getting no burn. Yeah. Sorry to cut you off. No, that's true. That's what I'm thinking. Like, what is the coach thinking?

Because this is clearly the area that you're getting dominated in. It's not the guard play. I mean, even though Fox is only putting up single-digit points after playing 33 minutes, he's definitely got to do better. I think him and Wimby was 4 for 15. But a guy like Deering Fox, I love his game some of the time. But I think they really need to look in another direction. They need a guard that could hit threes when you got somebody like Wembe.

You need somebody. As soon as they double team Wemby, they need a person that could just hit threes. You need that if you got somebody like him on the floor. but, you know, when you got all slashes, this is what it looks like. Yeah. Okay, so. I'm going to give my man a little bit. I'm going to give my man a little bit of slack D. Aaron Fox.

He's playing hurt on two bad ankles. He would see, and I'm not saying makes you wrong, but I'm just saying other niggas would tap out. Yeah. Other niggins. We've seen them missed two games already in this series, a couple games last series, and he's saying, fuck that. I'm going to come play. He didn't play the first two games of this series.

Heard his game. hurt his ankle again in game three, and I feel him he needs to be out there for the team. The one thing that I will say about De Aaron Fox being out there, and I know he's not producing like he should, like May said, but they cut down the turnovers for Castle. When Castle is the primary ball handler, the first game he had 11 turnovers.

Next game, he had 10 turnovers. De Aaron Fox comes back. He has one turnover. So I totally agree with Mace is saying, but I got to give him a little credit, a little bit of credit because he's playing on some flat. tires right now, but it's the heart to go out there and play. We see niggas, you know, not to bring him down to Mitchell, but we see him not play

last year in a closeout game, but he on the side line jumping up and down, rooting. How are you jumping up and down, nigga? You hurt. Your legs are hurt, but you jumping up and there and rooting? So I'll give him a little benefit of the doubt because at least he's out there trying to get something done for the team, and he's cutting the turn. Turnovers down a little bit, but it does look bad at the moment. Yeah. Well, it seems we've got confirmation of your second team,

Okay, so the NBA has actually warned Wembe, because we got some information here, for violating media access rules because Wemby bypassed media obligations after game five on Tuesday night. So after hearing that, Mace, do you think Wembe should be fine or do you give him the benefit of the doubt? Because, I mean, he just skipped out on speaking. Here we go again, right? This is what we was talking about before, right? When, who was that, Jalen Brown? He didn't do the interview.

He went and did it somewhere else. At least Wimby didn't do a podcast. He just had other obligations, you know? What other obligations? I know they pay you to do the interview, but Wimby and him feel like talking that day. Do you ever get a day off from interviews when you're in the NBA? Or you got to do every interview.

That's part of the contract, right? I don't think that that's a bad, like, okay, we pay you this amount, you just got to do an interview. I don't know. Yeah, so if they paid him the money and he's supposed to do the interview, Wimby, you got to go do the interview. But I like this mean streak pause that Wimby is showing up with. It's showing that he really has that element that it takes to be a great player

and to be the face of the league and to win a few championships. So I'm for this, you know. But I think he should do the interview as well. But it's just one interview. But, you know, who else you want to talk to, though?

Okay, so Boston Celtics, Joe Missoula has won the 2025-to-2020s NBA Coach of the Year Award. This is actually after months ago, he actually called the award stupid.

And he would also be the youngest winner of the award since Phil Johnson in 1975. Mace, do you think Joe Missoula was the right choice for this award? I think Joe has done a great job with the Boston Celtics. I mean, having this season, not having Tatum there, figuring it out, switching the lineup up, I mean, because he had to. And finding a way to get that team to play on that level, I think that was a remarkable job. But when I saw how they lost in the playoffs, sometime, like we was talking about yesterday, because people end up losing in the playoffs and they give the award so late, it does something to the psyche of the people watching them win the award. But if you're going on just a regular season, I think he did a phenomenal job.

The only person I think was right there with him was the coach of the Detroit Pistons, right? Because a year ago, they're selling tickets for a dollar. This year they were like the number one-seated team. I think that was a great thing as well. So I think – but when it's all said and done, Joe definitely deserved the trophy. Yeah, I'm going to go with the Pistons. coach, bigger style. Watching their roster and watching what he did with that team, not only that, they led

the East the majority of the year. You got Cade cut in hand with a collapse lung. And like I said, I know, like, we talked about it yesterday, but he reiterated today and made a great point. It fucks with your psyche when you're watching these teams get eliminated and players, but let's keep in mind some regular season awards. So I just wanted to put that in the context before I finish saying what I'm saying. but at the end of the day

with that, you know, I looked at this roster and I watched him play in the playoffs. There's really no real help for Kate. Jay and Durham's okay. He's, you know, Tobias Harris had a good run.

You know what I'm saying? Like, you know, for him to come in first place and leave the majority of the season in the East and then like we talked about Kaye going down with a collapse lung for two, three weeks,

and him maintaining that lead, even though they were, were in first place when Kay left. They were in first play when Kaye back. The Knicks couldn't make a run at it. Who was right? Boston couldn't make a run at it. Cleveland,

he maintained that lead to get them to the number one scene. So I think I would give it to bigger staff based on how he coached this team in the regular season. That would be my go-to. When we talk about Boston, of course we know Tatum isn't there, but you got the Olympic gold medalists on the team with Derek White.

It doesn't like he didn't have help. To me, I think that, and I'm not sitting there saying Darren isn't good, but I really believe he made the All-Star game because of the Pistons record. They like, nah, I'm a niggins is good. You got to put two niggas in there. So I'll be when you lead, when the All-Star break comes. Nah, you can't just get one, you throw another nigga in there.

I think he has a lot of upside during when it comes to his career moving forward. I think Kay carried this team, and I think Bigger staff, have led them to this record even when Kay went down. So my vote would have went to bigger stuff. Yeah, I think also to add to this conversation, when it comes to the coach of the year,

I think they should change the name of this award to the coach of regular season. Remember we was talking about they put a date on the trophy? This is not coach of the year. It's coach of the regular season. I think they need to simplify that and then make a coach of the year, meaning the whole year,

because the year is not over. until the playoffs is over to everybody playing in the league. So I think that's a modification they should make since they're making all these other modifications. And then stat can make up these rules and these stats that people are the first person to get to be the best coach in December. You know, all of the little interesting things, stats that y'all come up with. If it involves stat, I just came up with it and made it, huh? I'm just reading what the league put out, bro. That's just what they do.

And I'm here to report that. They find a way to give people awards that don't deserve them. Like, this is coach of the regular season. This is not coach of the year because both of the people we name Joe and Bickerstaff are both out. You know, they both were out, second, you know, first and second round. This is crazy. So to his point, saying it should be more specific.

Joe Mazzul did call it a stupid award. Do you think it's a stupid award or do you disagree? Joe, I agree with Joe. Joe says a stupid award. It's because of the name, not because of the award. It's because it says for the year, but it's not for the year. You know, and that doesn't make sense. Okay.

And Cam, do you think the award's stupid? I don't think it's stupid. I don't think he think he was going to win it. That's what you do. That's what Mace did when we was nominated for awards he's played the sidelines just in case we didn't win he wasn't sitting in the crowd that yeah that's a defense mechanism just in case you don't win it it's a stupid award i want to be there anyway yeah shit is dumb that's what joe mazula did he's like i don't think

So Mace, after hearing this, do you have more of an issue with a teammate calling out their teammate publicly or athletes getting involved in a political space? This is a loaded question. Yes. But let me deal with a portion of this question. The portion that makes sense, right,

to me initially hearing this question, that was multi-layered. When you think of Jackson Dart, he should be out there with Trump, right? He's not from the ghetto. Why are people mad at him for being with Trump? He's supposed to be with Trump. It would be different if we saw Odell Beckham or we saw what's the other guy named,

the running back that's there with the Giants. That would have been different. But if you're talking about- Scataboo? Not Scataboo. Not Scataboo. Somebody else, the other wide receiver. Oh, not running back.

Yeah, my bad. When it comes, if it was a black person, right? But if you're thinking of somebody that's Caucasian, why wouldn't he be up there with Trump? Why would he not? If Scatterbu was up there, I wouldn't think anything of that. He's supposed to be up there. And not, because he don't share those same sentiments, right? And I'm not saying that they do, but I wouldn't be surprised.

I don't know why he's so surprised about this. It sounds kind of crazy that he is. Okay, so that was your first part. And then how do you feel about basically his teammate calling him out? Like, do you have an issue with that? Or do you feel like he has the right to, What's your opinion? I think as grown men, grown men have to be able to make their own decisions.

Like, no grown man owes another grown man an explanation for what he did. I just don't believe that. I believe at the end of the day, as grown men, you have all these men taking care of their families, working hard to do good for their family.
