Starting point is 00:00:00 So are we supposed to start the podcast? Ready, one, two, three. Patriots, gay, traits, they treats, black turrets, brown triots, we love you. MAGA, all the MAGA freaks, all the triple Trumpers can do what, Pumps? Falk-a-oh! Pumps, what have you had it with? Okay, I've had it. And this might just be my ignorance.
Starting point is 00:00:25 I mean, there's always that possibility. But I've had it. I've been watching a lot of this world kept. soccer coverage and they keep saying. I'm going to stop you right there. Oh, these are going to be banked. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:00:38 For when I'm gone. And so I think won't the World Cup be over? Or if you can start it with say when I was watching. Okay. So it sounds like a week ago. Okay. Go ahead. Okay.
Starting point is 00:00:55 So one thing I've noticed a lot when I'm watching sports. coverage, they feel alive. I feel alive. And I'm just like, is that a really good descriptor? Because aren't we all alive? Am I just nitpicking? But it feels like you should say, you know, I feel great. But I feel alive doesn't really, I don't think that's a good descriptor. So I've had it with that as conveying how someone feels. I just don't think it conveys much. So who says this? The sports Castor, the pendant? The sports pendant saying... Says they feel alive?
Starting point is 00:01:35 The team, you can just tell they feel alive. I'm like, well, don't we all feel alive? I think it's a nuance. I think it's like, of course, we're all alive, but I think it's like a nuance in feeling alive. Like you really are feeling the moment. It's like a turn of phrase. Okay.
Starting point is 00:01:55 I don't think it's literal. I guess I'm taking it. it literally because I'm just like, well, of course, but I guess you're right. Like, no shit. Like, even I. You're an idiot. I think it's a turn of phrase. I think it's like, God, I felt so alive.
Starting point is 00:02:12 I think it's like a turn of phrase meaning like I felt like peak being alive. And it's like when you see, it's no different from when people say, I show you something and it's you're like so flabbercast about you go, oh my God, I'm dead. You're not literally dead. And I do say that all the time. I think that that's the opposite end of that. Okay. So like I said, I could be an asshole, but it just kept striking me.
Starting point is 00:02:37 Sometimes I think I feel more alive than I do other times. I think it's like, like, you know, we have these mundane, boring lives most of the time. Most, like, you know, I'm sitting at a computer or researching for episodes or paying bills or walking from A to B. It's, you know, it's pretty boring shit most of the time. And then you go to like a concert or you go. to a sporting event and you experience this connectedness and this shared humanity. It's like, God, I feel alive because it's a more elevated sense of being than it was, you know, just going to pick up your dry cleaning.
Starting point is 00:03:15 Maybe I'm just dead inside, which is not off the table. I would be right there with you. We could make a huge argument for both of us. Okay. I have had it with the ladies. of Maga that preach breeding and preach tradwifism
Starting point is 00:03:39 and meanwhile they have full-time jobs and number two are married to the biggest trad wives on the planet and let me give you a prime example Usha Vance Usha, podcaster, breeder, extraordinary from immigrant parents has beautiful mixed-race children. I've seen pictures of their kids.
Starting point is 00:04:01 They're quite darling. She is married to, and she talks about family and having a whole bunch of kids and stuff like that. She is married to a submissive prostitute that wears eyeliner named smoky eye sociopath, J.D. Vance. Second example here is Katie Miller. Katie Miller goes on and on about breeding, and it's so addicting to hold a,
Starting point is 00:04:28 baby. Like, I mean, she literally acts like she is Dora the fucking explorer that just discovered breeding. I mean, it's lost on her that there's like seven, eight billion people on the planet. And this isn't going on for literal, you know, millions of years. But her husband is the most submissive freak show on the planet. Like, it's not like Stephen Miller could put his name on the ballot and put his ideas out. out there and go run for office and get a vote or two. I mean, Jesse Waters would vote for him. But beyond that, it wouldn't.
Starting point is 00:05:04 And then if you look at like Riley Gaines, Riley Gaines talks about breeding and babies and traditional family, the same with Caroline Levin. Well, they all have these full-time jobs. And what gets me the most about Riley Gaines is the one thing that she cares so much about trans people, she literally would have zero career. Zero. without the existence of trans people.
Starting point is 00:05:31 Zero. She brings nothing to the table other than her grievance that she tied for fifth place with a trans athlete. That's it. I mean, just imagine if she tied with a biological woman, she would not be all over Fox News. She would not be doing any of this. And here's another thing.
Starting point is 00:05:52 She'd be a fifth place loser. But in MAGA, you can lose and fail forward. Look at our dear leader. He has failed forward and lost more than any other person on planet Earth because daddy had a lot of money. And he just kept failing forward. But all of these women, what's so interesting is they don't see the hypocrisy or do you think that they do see the duplicity and they're just, well, I mean, it's good for me. I can do it. But then again, I'm so special.
Starting point is 00:06:29 And I'm good at letting people off the hook. I think there's a lot of willful cruelty, willful denial. And I think there's a lot of intention. I'm not one of these believers where people play naivete or list excuses for the cruelty in which they engage as a reach around to get out of it. I am a believer in personal accountability. and I think they know exactly what they're doing. And yes, they believe they are better. And yes, they believe they are special
Starting point is 00:07:02 because they're bigots to their core. And this is a through line of bigots. And bigots oftentimes then try to claim ignorance or naivete. Oh, I didn't think I was a racist. No, I don't think I'm racist. Well, racist, of course they do. Of course they know they are. The actions of a lot of these people of the Trump administration are intentional.
Starting point is 00:07:31 It's all, it's intentional moral rot. It's intentional collapse. And the people that I have known that have been acquaintances that are, you know, somewhat bigoted or white supremacists, they absolutely know they are and they enjoy it. You can see the Pavlovian response when they're being cruel. You can see the brain lighting up like they're on some drug. You can see that they enjoy it. I mean, you can see, I'm sure if you hook them up to an MRI while they're being shitty to other people, it's hidden like cocaine in the brain. I've seen it.
Starting point is 00:08:09 I've witnessed it my whole life being around. They like it. There's a preference for this. Yeah, no, the judgmental part, I mean, just from my experience, like being shitty, like, especially in college, being shitty, like, I liked it. I got a charge off of it. So I have to agree with you on that. All right.
Starting point is 00:08:31 Welcome. I've had it. I'm Jennifer. I'm Angie. Kylie. Hi. I have one review for you, and they say, I unfortunately have to live with my idiot MAGA mom and her idiot maga boyfriend while I
Starting point is 00:08:46 save for my own place. One of their batshit nutball conspiracy theorist YouTuber idiots was playing a clip of Jennifer telling Maga to fuck off as I was listening to this episode. So I turned up the volume from the kitchen, full blast as y'all were going on about Big Titty Brian and Maga not standing for shit. Oh, and my mom's idiot Maga boyfriend is Mexican, yet he voted for Trump three times and supports ICE as a Mexican man. That's really, you know, it's everywhere. It really is. This is where you have to realize that, like, there are broken and dysfunctional people everywhere.
Starting point is 00:09:30 And they can be women, they can be gay, they can be Mexican, they can be black, they can certainly, as we know, as we see on full display, white, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. The ringleaders of all of that, I think are white people. And the dysfunctional people have all coalesced around power. And I think that we have too, as a people, like, I want leaders that are smarter than me. I want leaders that are more patient than me. I want the biggest dork that's never made a fucking bee in their lives that declined going to all of the raving parties that I went to and stayed out till 2 a.m., dancing my ass off, cutting a rug on the dance floor. I want the people that said, no, I have a final exam tomorrow. I'm going to stay in
Starting point is 00:10:26 and study tonight. And I was like, what a dork. And I want those people in charge of everything. I want to elevate expertise. And in the brokenness that these people have, whether it be from religious, you know, fissures or, you know, inter, you know, probably a lot of it is always goes back to the family dynamic. Our parents screwed us up. Their parents screwed them up, et cetera. Your mommy not loving you or your daddy not loving you. They found a home in this dysfunction.
Starting point is 00:10:57 And my problem with MAGA is it gives a permission structure for people to cave to their worst impulses. And that's a really bad thing for humanity. We need politicians that call on us to halt our worst. impulses and pause and play the tape through and lean into our better impulses. And a prime example of this or the Obamas, whether you, listener, if you're like a far leftist and you, you know, whatever, I'm not talking about their politics. I'm talking about them as examples of as human beings. Like when I hear Obama speak, he's mindful, he's thoughtful,
Starting point is 00:11:31 he's tempered, he's measured. The same with Michelle Obama. These are incredible examples of how to model parenthood, how to model marriage, how to model friendship, and how to model being a human being. And I think it's good for us to see that in motion. Right now, we just have the biggest freaks on the planet. My God. I mean, you got Mexican people out there voting, you know, mass deportations now, and they're voting against their own interests. The same with a lot of these white women, white educated women, 40% voted for Trump. and then uneducated white men. They're going to end up dying, you know, or people they love are going to end up dying
Starting point is 00:12:15 because of these policies. Yeah, it's everywhere. The voting against your own interest is a skill that I think the Republican, and I'm not saying that Democrats have always delivered. I'm just saying you see it so much like women that will vote for someone that will take away their rights, Mexican people, that will vote for someone that once, you're going to to deport them regardless of their legal status and or criminal history, it's over and over and over and over again. I find that to be a very interesting part of our lifetime. There's so many different parts that I think
Starting point is 00:12:56 the history books will be thick on this, but I think that has to be one of them. Yeah, I totally agree, but it's not new. It's not new that people vote against their best interests and fall prey to propaganda. And the Republican Party has been doing this for such a long time. And they have brilliantly weaponized culture war issues and family value stuff. If we had a true, robust Democratic Party with balls of steel right now, they would be ripping the shit out of them. Daily press conferences about what a hypocrite, what a submissive little housewife. And I do mean house wife. Speaker of the House, Moses Mike Grindr Johnson is. He is a submissive. massive housewife and the Democrat should get on TV and say it every single day. They should just do
Starting point is 00:13:42 reputational brand damage to these people. All right, let's get out of politics for a little bit and let's get to the meat and potatoes of this podcast. If you want more politics, please follow and subscribe to our other political podcast, IHIP News. But right now, let's dive into a little bit of pop culture fuckery and the shit that makes us laugh. Today's episode is sponsored by the ASPCA Pet Health Insurance Program. All right, listener, I think you know how attached I am to my dogs. And my oldest dog, 11-year-old Tebby, recently was diagnosed with epilepsy. And he has these seizures.
Starting point is 00:14:22 And I just worry about him so much. And I want the last part of his life to be comfortable. I don't want him to suffer, which is why I don't want to be awake at 2 a.m. With my phone in hand, Googling, is this normal, et cetera. That's why I've signed up for the ASPCA Pet Health Insurance Program. It offers customizable accident and illness plans that can fit your budget, your lifestyle, and even your pets particular quirks. Let's be honest, vet bills add up so fast. ASPCA Pet Health Insurance has been around for almost 30 years and has covered over 1 million pets.

Starting point is 00:15:35 fire insurance company and produced by PTZ Insurance Agency Limited, the ASPCA is not an insurer and is not engaged in the business of insurance. Okay, listener, what is softer than cashmere and warmer than wool? This is not a riddle. It's an alpaca hoodie, and I had to check it out after hearing some of my favorite podcasters talking about PACA. Now that I'm talking about it, your favorite podcaster, you need to check it out too. Packa makes outdoor and lifestyle apparel from alpaca fiber, one of the world's most sustainable natural fibers. Their best-selling hoodie is softer than cashmere, warmer than wool, but here's the thing. It's totally breathable. I wear mine when I'm traveling because I'm always freezing
Starting point is 00:16:24 on airplanes and it breathes. It's so comfortable. It's so soft. And over 250,000 people have already picked up the pack of hoodie. What makes it even better is that each of the easy, Each one is made start to finish in Peru and features an Inca ID that's hand woven by artisans. So listener, if you're thinking about leveling up your hoodie game, this is your sign to do it now. To grab your packa hoodie, go to packa apparel.com. That's P.A.a.a.aparel.com. Okay. Here's a headline from The Cut. I read my boyfriend's diary, should I tell her? The woman goes on to say, the following, pop this up. I found an
Starting point is 00:17:11 entry from shortly after we officially became a couple. He wrote, my only problem is my eyes still wonder. I wonder what my life would be like if I settled with someone else. She says, I was blindsided. I remember this period of our relationship well. When we started dating, I was so, so obsessed with him. He was all I thought about. I felt so gratified to have found someone with whom I didn't have to look past terrible things in order to date. I didn't have to give up all my standards. Honestly, he's still a perfect partner. I've never had any reason to question anything in our relationship. So, when I saw his diary entry, I was both surprised and hurt. I feel like it's natural to experience wandering eyes after being
Starting point is 00:17:59 in a relationship for a while. But in the beginning, that feels like maybe he didn't feel as in love with me as I felt with him. What do I do? I want to bring it up to soothe my anxieties. But in order to have a conversation about his wondering eyes, I have to confess to reading his private journal. Do I keep it to myself and just hope that he's still not thinking about all of this? Here's the deal. I don't think it's right.
Starting point is 00:18:29 To read the journal, I myself would have done a complete deep dive, copy, pace, flow charted this journal. Do I wish that I could say, after all the therapy and evolution in my life, that if I had a partner right now and saw their journal sitting there, I would love to say I will bet every single thing in my life that I love that I wouldn't read it, I probably would. I just would, but I would never, ever, ever, ever make the mistake of ever acting like I read it, of ever giving anybody a clue that I read it, maybe, you know, subtly in different ways, but there's no fucking way that I would say, John, I just want you to know, I read your diary and I'm wondering why you had wondering eyes when I'm so in love with you, it's fucking over OVER the minute that word comes out of your mouth, in my opinion. So you really think you would read it and then not whistleblow on yourself?
Starting point is 00:19:36 Based on all of our experience. I would absolutely read it. Right. I know that you're going to say I whistleblow on myself all the time. I know that's coming. But I would not whistleblow. Okay. I'm going to support you in that.
Starting point is 00:19:51 I am. But I just want to remind you of our. 25 plus year history of conducting investigations into either your husband or my husband, snooping our noses into places that we 100% had no business snooping our nose into, but we would go do it again today if we had the opportunity. Right. And each and every time we conducted set investigations. Within a matter of five to ten minutes, you were whistleblowing.
Starting point is 00:20:16 Okay. I'm going to defend myself just to touch on that. Okay. You should. I, like, it was early on. in the destruction of my life, in the careening mess of my life that I asked about the bacon at I hop when you said, don't do it, don't do it. I got better at it, not fast, but I did get better at not ratting myself out.
Starting point is 00:20:42 So, like you, I would for sure as much as for sure the younger Jennifer, 100% would have read the journal. Now I would be tortured. at this stage, I think I would be kind of tortured if Josh had a journal sitting on the nightstand or in a drawer that I could easily access. I think it would take me a lot longer, but old habits die hard, old toxins die hard. And I think ultimately I would go be a nosy little bitch and read the whole thing. I would like to think that I had enough chill to never admit it. But I think the great bargain I would make with myself is,
Starting point is 00:21:22 I would manipulate myself into something like this. You know, Josh, I saw it there for like two or three weeks. And I was like, not going to read it, not going to read it, not going to read it. But then I thought you were acting kind of blah, blah, blah. Maybe you'd relapse. I would do something messy. But then I would justify the whole thing by saying, I'm purging myself and I'm just coming clean. I'm not going to make this worse.
Starting point is 00:21:46 I'm just going to say, secrets keep me sick. And I'm not going to keep the secret anymore that I read your Bible. And a Bible. I read your journal. What? We don't even have a Bible. I don't know what I'm talking about. Did I read your journal?
Starting point is 00:22:00 And so I'm just going to purge it. I read it and I saw that you weren't that into me. And I'm mad about it. I think I would just, that would be the grand bargain that I would make, that I was going to just purge all the toxicity with the truth and I would get to have the confrontation. I think that's great rationalization because you thought something was up with you. and I felt it that there was something up with you and you have left me with no choice. But I do think it's easier to invade people's privacy when there's something fucked up going on.
Starting point is 00:22:33 Like, in my case, marriage-wise, it was the only reasonable choice is to get into his personal business. But I think if you're in a super healthy relationship and everything's great, I think some people cannot read it. I really do. I think some people can not read it. I'm not that person. When Josh was in the throes of his addiction and gaslighting was ubiquitous and traumatizing and created a sense of disorientation as to how I oriented my reality, it was so harmful to my being and my serenity to be lied to.
Starting point is 00:23:18 And anybody listening who has had an alcoholic or a drug addict in your life, you know how, what a mind fuck it is to have somebody just lying to you and telling you what you saw didn't happen or what you heard didn't happen. And it really is disorienting. And I resorted to being a full-blown private investigator because I wanted to find out what was true and what wasn't. I wanted to confirm that I was being lied to. And he was toxic. I chose him, which exposes some of my toxicity in choosing somebody that was broken. And we had, you know, just, we went through a lot of problems. As I said when this first came around, this subject, today Josh and I don't, if he, I genuinely, it would take something for me to think he's relapsed in order to read his journal.
Starting point is 00:24:14 I agree with you. I don't know. know that you would dive ready. I don't know that I would. I don't check in on him. We talk, you know, when he's in Oklahoma and I'm in New York where we're not together, we text in the morning, you know, good morning, have a great day, love you. And then we do a FaceTime at night. And that's it. I don't, I can track him on my phone. I never look to see where he is. And it's such a, my life when he was in the throes of his addiction was that. Is he lying? What is he doing? Is he going to come home? Is he buying drugs? Is he drinking?
Starting point is 00:24:46 Is he just all of this static and just felt so unstable and so exposed? And now I feel safe and secure and all of these things. But my safety and my security is different now than what I ever imagined it would be because it's not contingent upon Josh's sobriety anymore. When I was younger and weaker it was. It was completely contingent upon his sobriety. But I've evolved in such a way out of toxic thinking and codependent thinking and dysfunctional thinking and habits. I've evolved in such a way that now, as much as I would hate it if he relapsed, it's really, it's not going to affect my serenity.
Starting point is 00:25:35 It's just, it's, I've evolved to such a place that my healing from all of the trauma from his addiction is now truly complete because. It's about me. And I have no control over any of any of that. And for many, many, many, many, many years of my life, I lived with this uneasy foundation that if he relapsed or he, you know, doctor shopped or did any of the things, that it would rock the very foundation that I sit on. And that's a really miserable way to live. But here's the thing. It's so incredibly common, whether it's your husband's a gambling addict, a sex addict, a porn addict, alcoholic, a drug addict, or just completely toxic and broken. Relationships are really complicated and really broken.
Starting point is 00:26:27 And there's no life training for them. You really have to give yourself on the job training when you're in the middle of these things. And then you've got to go to therapy and you've got to go back and little Jennifer and then all the shit. And then finally you get to a place where you're in the middle of these things. where, you know, the sun kind of sets on all of it. And like, I'm really genuinely happy. So I don't know. It's hard for me to say that because my God, for years, I would have loved to just sink my teeth into his diary.
Starting point is 00:26:55 But now it feels super toxic. Like, I would feel super toxic doing that. I think, I really believe this. I think that you wouldn't because I, and I've witnessed the investigation and all that because you all are in such a good, healthy, strong place. And I think a lot of that goes to, you know, all the work that you have both done. But I think in any relationship, whether there's addiction or not, if you feel super secure and safe, you don't, the desire to read it is diminished. Right.
Starting point is 00:27:32 I agree with you. It just is. So that's why I think I would hope that I could do it. but we all know that even if I were to get in a relationship, the toxic person in the relationship is probably always going to be new. So that negates that. You know, you don't think that pumps now,
Starting point is 00:27:52 if you were in a relationship with somebody, you couldn't help yourself. I would, again, I'd like to say 100% I could. You'd read it. I'd read it. You'd call me. And then you'd read it to me.
Starting point is 00:28:07 And then you'd screenshot it and say, you're a better dramatic reader than me. will you dramatically read it? I'm going to screenshot. Here's the question. Would you read it back? 100%. Because you're in such a much healthier state.
Starting point is 00:28:17 No, 100% I would. I'm not that sanctimonious. For God's sake. You know. And here's the saying, I'm like 90% I wouldn't read the diary. But this gal in this cut article, she felt insecure. And your point is brilliant about all of that. All of that is predicated on security, both with yourself.
Starting point is 00:28:41 who you are and the relationship because security has to be distributed across multiple different baskets. You have financial security. You have security in your own self-confidence and relationship security. And whenever the insecurity or doubt seeps in, all games are off. I mean, it's read the Bible, screenshot it, live tweet it. Yeah. What did I say?
Starting point is 00:29:03 Bible? Bible. Jesus Christ. Isn't he the main character of that, the Bible? That's for funny. the Bible, the diary, whatever. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 00:29:15 Yeah, that's a pretty good. That was a good story, Kylie and Ryan. Those are good conversations. What would you do, Kylie? Ana has a journal. On her nightstand. Do you read it or not? I've been that person.
Starting point is 00:29:28 Like the reader or the journal? I have been the readers. Snooper. I've been the snooper. And then we've been together like five years. I have been shocked at how different I am now. I am the exact same as you. is like, I actually will not be the reader.
Starting point is 00:29:43 And I look back and I cringe that I was. Which is growth and that's good. That is good. Like, right now I am truly, you couldn't pay me to read it. Yeah, so that's really good. Yeah, which is because you're secure. It is. That means we're in a good spot.
Starting point is 00:30:00 Yeah. It's okay. Pumson and I will break into your apartment. We'll read it and then we'll do a dramatic reading on it. There's the deal. I'm the guy that's leaving his fucking journal around. Hide that shit better. Can I? Here's the deal. He can hide it as much as he wants to. Hell has no fury, like a woman's ability to hawk out something like that, like a heat-seeking missile. Look no further to the many investigations that you and I conducted punts. Yeah, I know, but I'm just saying like, if I were journaling and saying that, I would hide it better than he did. Now, I'm not saying somebody couldn't find it if they wanted to because I found shit that I didn't even know exists places in my house that I didn't even know were at my house.
Starting point is 00:30:40 like the no idea but i just think she doesn't say in the article that she like moved heaven and earth to find it like here's what have happened what this is what i would have done i would have seen him writing in the journal and then it would have been top of mind every single minute of every hour that i was awake and probably dreamed about it too to find that journal i don't know I'd probably fall on to work. I'd go through his car while he would, like, there would be no stone left on turn. It would say that she did that.
Starting point is 00:31:14 So it kind of feels like he just kind of left it in plain sight. Maybe I'm wrong. But no, I would have found that fucking bitch, no matter what. And here's my thing. I also think her complaint about what he wrote reveals a lot of insecurity. Of course, he still has a wondering eye. Just because you're on a diet doesn't mean you can't read the menu. I agree.
Starting point is 00:31:36 Spoiler alert. listener, I have a wondering eye. Everyone does. I like to watch men's tennis. Primarily, I do love the sport. I think they're hot as shit and their little outfits. I quite enjoy it. Josh will be on Instagram and he is like, God, doilipa is so hot. I'm like, oh my God, she's so is. I, of course you have a wondering eye. It's just a part of the human experience. So in this instance, although it's juicy conversation about what would you do about the diary. And I think that, you know, it's all predicated upon how secure you. you are and how secure relationship is. This whole thing is for this particular entry, she sounds insecure, which is why she read the book. And then her reaction to the wondering eye, I think he's got a punner. I think she needs to be broken up with. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:24 I think she needs to go to therapy because there's a lot of things that hurt my feelings, but a wondering eye is just something you have to accept. Yeah. And people have... find other people attractive. That's just a part. And I think it's when you try to hide that from your partner, that's, that feeds a lot of toxicity. I think it's far healthier.
Starting point is 00:32:48 Like Josh can tell me, oh, my God, there's this, there's a stainless actress or, um, sentimental value. You all know the movie that was nominated for Oscar. Anyway, the main gal that's in that, she's a European. Josh is like, that is my number one crush. I love this gal so much. And I, you know, watch me. I was like, oh, my God, she's a doll.
Starting point is 00:33:04 And then he knows that I, like there's this tennis player. He's Italian. He's six foot five. Smoke show D. Lux. His name is Mateo Baratini. Gaytriots go ahead and straight triate women. Go ahead and just do a little Insta search up. Mateo Baratini. Go ahead and do a deep dive. H.O.T. exclamation point, six foot five. And we know pumps when they're over six foot four, they're what? Drops to the floor. So, I mean, here's the thing. And Pumps and I say this shit readily in front of Josh. He knows that I'm not going to cheat on him.
Starting point is 00:33:43 And I'm not going to cheat on Josh, not only because I respect him in our marriage, but it's deeper than that. I'm not going to do that because I have to live with it. I have to put my head on the pillow at night. And it's deeper than just my feeling for Josh is something I don't want to live with. I don't want to have that secret or capitulate to that that causes wreckage and damage. And so I think this gal who found the diary, which not that big of a crime there. I mean, you know, blah. But getting, you know, butt hurt over the wondering eyes, I think she's got to go.
Starting point is 00:34:26 I think he's got to cut her list. And then she, and then on top of all that, she submits the whole thing into the cut for everybody to comment on it. We have a stage five situation here. She's got to go. She's out. She's got to go. She's out. She needs. But for her benefit, I know how insecure you can feel as a woman. I felt that. Oh, absolutely. I want her to go find her serenity and find a more stable relationship and be, you know, because it's such a miserable place to be when you're insecure like that. God, I've lived that. Yeah, same.
Starting point is 00:35:05 All right, moving along to the next story. Hollywood is producing its first ever AI-led feature film. Pop this up. This is from Variety. Tilly Norwood to lead new movie Misaligned, marking feature debut for AI actor. SAG AFTRA condemned
Starting point is 00:35:27 Norwood in September saying she's, quote, not an actor, but a computer-generated character trained on the work of countless real performers without permission or compensation. The film will reportedly be produced through a hybrid of humans and AI with human directors, writers, and editors alongside AI specialists. To me, this sounds like one of the worst movies of all time, and variety of supporting that misaligned announced by Particle 6, the AI-focused studio behind Norwood. is described as a comedy drama telling a coming-of-age story infused with existential AI chaos,
Starting point is 00:36:07 set inside the so-called Tillyverse, a surreal digital world located somewhere up in the cloud. The film will follow Tilly, an AI being with no real body, no childhood and no lived experiences ever own, only to only access to everyone else's. Things spiral when a seductive rogue bot from the dark web convinces her to abandon her guard, rails and begin developing desires, impulses, and ambitions, making her more human. Its creator, Eileen van der Velden, insists that this is a good thing. Let's play the clip. I'm Tilly Norwood, the world's first AI actor. Come and work with me. So we are looking for all sorts of people, you know, entry level to, you know, more senior from the traditional film and TV industry. We like
Starting point is 00:36:58 people with experience and bringing that experience into this new art form with AI. So we're looking for comedy writers, we're looking for production coordinators, and we've given them all really funky, funky job names because it's a whole new, a new era of creativity. I guess my question would be why. If you're going to have to crowdsource that many people and get all that, just to hire the actors to do it. Like, this is why I hate AI. This is so unnecessary, the guardrails are gone, you hear about that all the time with AI staff. It just, this just seems like I understand AIs here.
Starting point is 00:37:39 I understand that I will never understand why people love it so much. I get that. But to me, this just seems like I never want to see this movie because I like stories that are character-driven, that are relatable. Like, I just, I hate all this. Hate it. Hate it. Had it.
Starting point is 00:37:57 I'm with you. So here's an interesting conversation to have about this. So SAG condemned Norwood in September saying she's, not an actor. They use the pronoun she's. And maybe I'm just going to get completely ripped. But, I mean, it's just another week in America that Jennifer gets ripped online for shit, she says, because I have a undefeated ability to walk right into it, foot and mouth. But should we be assigning humanity to these non-existent AI bots?
Starting point is 00:38:32 Shouldn't we call them it's? Shouldn't we call Norwood an it? Has she earned that pronoun? Does this make me sound like a fucking conservative? Do you guys? Do I? Do I sound like a conservative? Do I sound like a moderate?
Starting point is 00:38:48 No. You sound like a centrist a little bit. Do I sound like a centrist? No. But I don't think it. it gets to be a she. I think this is an it. This is not a human being.
Starting point is 00:38:59 This is an it. Attaching she's, he's. Humanizes. And it leads to these kids in these relationships with their AI. I think,
Starting point is 00:39:08 I think these AI actors need to be called it's. I agree. Tilly Norwood is an it. I'm just picturing Fox News. Am I MAGA? Is that Megan.
Starting point is 00:39:24 You guys tell me the truth. Jennifer Welch refuses to use, she, her, only it with no other context. I just, I don't think that they should be humanized. I agree with you. I just, I don't, I don't see it as a she. I think that when I read that sentence there before I went on to read all the other shit, I was like, she. Why does she get to be a she?
Starting point is 00:39:48 Why does it get to be she? Why does it? Yeah. And I think that's, that's going to be my main push. I agree. Anti-pronouns for AI. Characters. It needs to be in it.
Starting point is 00:40:04 I think you're right. And that's not a point that I would have thought of, but I think it's the smartest one. Maybe the five will invite me on in studio to discuss it in person. No way. Could you imagine? No, you don't think so. You can eat them for lunch.
Starting point is 00:40:19 I want to be on the five so bad. They know it. because they know you're smarter. I want to sit right next to Jesse. They'll, I love that for you because that would be theater, but you absolutely, they know you're smarter than them,
Starting point is 00:40:36 a better communicator, and you're, you are more correct than they are. Do what? Meener. And you're American. You're more American than they are and they know it.
Starting point is 00:40:47 You're more patriotic. I'm just throwing that in for shits and giggle. But no, there's no way. They're terrified of you. That's why I think you're on there all the time. They're scared. Well, I think I'm on there all the time because they don't want to talk about, number one, they are scared of white liberal women because they're scared of.
Starting point is 00:41:05 Smart. Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel and shit like that. But I want to be on there. All right, listen, we got to go. We got to go. We got to go. It's time up. It's just absolutely time up.
Starting point is 00:41:20 Order my book. Not today, fascists. I want to dedicate this to my former toxic self that conducted all the investigations into my ex-husband. No, I'm just kidding. I'll dedicate it to Pups. No, I'm just kidding there too. I really want to dedicate it to Ushah Vance.
Starting point is 00:41:41 Ushavans. So you think? Ushah Vance. Ushavans, you are a fascist and you don't have to be Ushah. All right. We'll see you guys whenever we see you, which will probably be tomorrow.
