Starting point is 00:00:04 How should re-introdue this one? Um, do one of those cool, like, you know when, um, you know when Ed Sheeran was leaving Kaysenat's house, his mansion, I mean. Oh, really? And Ed Shearin was doing the cool, like, clapping thing. Can you do that to start the episode? No, he was clapping and like clicking his fingers. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:00:26 One of those. I think yours needs a little bit of work. I'm going to be honest. Why? Because it just doesn't compare to when Ed Shearing. was leaving Kaisenat's mansion. Well, random strangers just call me a cheering to my face and I don't know what I'm supposed to say, yeah. When I was at the bar, just the other week.
Starting point is 00:00:44 Really? I was sat there just chilling. These two women came in. Is that why our father called you at cheering the other day? Probably, yeah. They just looked over to me and one of them went, oh, we're cheering. And they just went up to the bar. Get fuck.
Starting point is 00:00:59 I said something really sarcastic, like, yep, that's me. Yeah. Like clearly like just not. They were expecting you to buy them a drink. They were hidden on me and I'm that stupid? Ed Shearing's right stingy these days. I thought you were rich, Ed. Yeah, what the fuck?
Starting point is 00:01:18 No. I'm just normal. I'm just normal, Ed. Welcome to Jal Media. Yeah, yeah. Whatever, man. Jim's too hot to think. I'm too hot to be pregnant.
Starting point is 00:01:31 What? I'm just... This is broadcast season 7. episode 27 Yeah To catch up if you don't know what's going on at the moment Go back and find the episodes About Baby Rick
Starting point is 00:01:43 About baby Rick And don't forget about the deleted episode Where we learnt karate real quick Oh shit, yeah Karate Master came in and taught us Jha Karate just for that one episode Do you remember the master's name? I'm Master
Starting point is 00:01:57 Master Redacted Yeah Master Redacted taught us He was a tiny guy, but he had skills. That was the thing. Like, you don't expect... It, karate's kind of all about that. It's kind of subversing the expected.
Starting point is 00:02:13 It's, um... And then you do a chop. Yeah, but it's got to be a chop that they're not expecting. Otherwise, karate falls these pieces. That's what we learned primarily. Yeah. Do you know what I've been obsessed with the last day? What?
Starting point is 00:02:26 One day, the last one day. Yeah, genuinely. As in this day? Or yesterday? It's, um... It's, um... It's two words from the guerrilla song moments. Do you remember it where I don't know who it says it, but someone goes,
Starting point is 00:02:44 check please. Yeah. Check please. I've had just that big. Check please. Yeah. Check please. Maybe I'll put it in if I can be honest.
Starting point is 00:02:53 Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, that's fucking awesome. Chuck clothes. That's Redactors little moment in that song. Yeah. Yeah. So before we get too deep into the show, let me shout out the jar. your patrons over at the Patreon that make the show an audio version possible you get the raw
Starting point is 00:03:06 unfiltered mp3 you get three signs from me you can chuck it over on any rs feed host of your choice um seeing as like actually no i'll do this in a second uh what else do you get over there on the patreon you get your names right out in the first or second week of each month if you're a goddamn dibby tier above what are you whispering to me paisley's chance oh paisley's chance that's on that's the after hours playlist. An ever-growing list of supplementary weekly content, nearly 100 episodes over there. Last episode we did
Starting point is 00:03:38 the worst jar memes. That was about in half an hour discussion or so. Before that, we did debunking Joe Rogan's weird day, Ruben, like, just go, what? Two white boys debate sinners, jar radio series, the Paces' chance, Argy's chance,
Starting point is 00:03:58 Billy's Opportunity or whatever it's called, all sorts over there. Go check it out. And last but not least, the JAR Media group chat. It's a group chat. You can leave suggestions for housekeeping when relevant
Starting point is 00:04:09 or the question segment towards the end. Also get Tim stickers over on the store. It's in the description. Get yourself Tim Sticker. One last thing. There's no scientific proof or anything to back my following statements. But it has been alleged
Starting point is 00:04:25 that, and this is specifically talking to you Brits out there now, joining the JAR Media patron Check please Cools your body temperature Yeah depending on your tier It's like a degree per tier Yeah yeah You know
Starting point is 00:04:41 But equally when the seasons flip It's gonna bump your temperature up a little bit You're gonna find yourself saving On those cheeky electric bills Okay So just consider that And I repeat Totally scientifically
Starting point is 00:04:54 Unresearched and it's entirely alleged Vives based entirely vibes based. A vibes based temperature of sorts. Yeah. It's like your temporal vibe. Temporial the vibe.
Starting point is 00:05:08 It's your sort of temporal the vibe. So let's do some housekeeping there. We're a round of conversations. And I've got some actual, like, real housekeeping to start itself with. Before we continue, sorry, can you put your second foot in the goddamn way? I'm alternating. I thought I'd give them a little trait of my sort of wet. Okay, so seriously, right?
Starting point is 00:05:31 We've been having Spotify issues For the past number of episodes It's a copyright thing So if you're looking for us on Spotify The last few episodes have just been taken down Periodically because of a specific song I pay for a license To use songs from the website, Epidemic Sound
Starting point is 00:05:49 For years and years, I've done this On the JAR Media channel On IHC, on IHD TV all of it. I have the rights to use it. Whatever's Spotify. They must have recently updated their like bots that scan for copyrighted stuff. And are having some issue.
Starting point is 00:06:10 And their appeals process is awful. So I'm in the process of... That's typical. Yeah. Sorry, you're in the process of... I'm in the process of emailing back and forwards with Epidemic Sound who will hopefully get that sorted in due time. But that's why that's there.
Starting point is 00:06:25 In the meantime, so obviously... you on YouTube, the RSS feed is still up on any other host. Apologies. Super annoying. Yeah, very annoying. That's why. This is kind of proof, though, that the woke mob are at our throats. They're at our gates.
Starting point is 00:06:38 Yeah. As a comedy training, free speech absolutist, far right, um, center, um, you know. Center, center left, far right, alt-right. free speech Marxists Marxist comedy podcast Yeah
Starting point is 00:06:59 trainers Yeah teachers Masters Yeah masters Master trainers Karate karate in training Yeah martial art
Starting point is 00:07:09 So we can say Comedies slash martial arts Yeah kind of like Joe Rogan Kind of in a weird funny Crazy sort of way Here's our icon to be fair Yeah kind of in a sort of mental way So let's start with this one
Starting point is 00:07:24 Okay. People were pissed. Pest. At who? You more so. What the fuck? Why do people... No, come on.
Starting point is 00:07:32 Because we brought up the idea of the, um, the ongoing drama that PlayStation are getting rid of, uh, physical games. And, uh, profile feather left one saying, I understand the boys are apathetic to PlayStation and removing physical. But as someone who has been a PlayStation gamer since I was 15, nearly a decade ago with the PS4, this puts me in a rather dog shit situation. If I were to collect all the games, I have physically on PS4 and 5, most of which I got cheap and secondhand. With another set of physical games, it would cost me £619, which is a lot, but again, this is a 10-year-old collection. However, in comparison, if I were to replace them all digitally, the price climbs to £1,633.
Starting point is 00:08:11 Something fun to note is none of them were on deal when I went through the PS store to do this, math. This puts me in a shit situation because if I go to PS6, I'd have the price of the system plus nearly two grands fine to play the game. games I have on PS6. If I go to Xbox, ha ha fucking chance. Fat fucking chance. I still have that fine, plus however much extra for the games I do have digitally on PlayStation, the same goes for PC as well. It seems as if I've been priced out the next-gen gaming and no system or games have even been announced. It's notewing to see this hobby I've had since I was a child go ever more towards the same end goal, everything seems to be charging towards, of lining the pockets of the wealthy while cutting out more and more of the customers that allowed them that wealth to begin
Starting point is 00:08:51 with get the jokes on me for not starting a right wing grifting YouTube channel while I had the chance. There's always time. Yeah, yeah. You've got a chance. But that is everybody's mistake. You either need to be willing to shill for the billionaires or make fool yourself. I would slightly disagree with the Steam one. I feel like Steam is the answer. I feel like this is. Yeah, yeah, I was going to say that. I feel like you do generally get games way cheaper on Steam. Ever since I's Switch, like, it feels like highway robbery, something. of the like. It's crazy. It's crazy. Games I get. And that's, that's, for me, it's crazy getting the deals I get. And I never go out of steam. Yeah. And I get that. Maybe if you don't already have a rig,
Starting point is 00:09:34 now it's like the worst time to get one. Yeah. That's annoying. Yeah. God yeah. Um, so that's annoying how it's priced people out. Just get a nice affordable steam deck. And to, to clarify, I'm apathetic only because I'm not a PlayStation gamer. Yeah. Yeah. I'm, I'm on the side of the people who are upset about this. I totally agree. And like, everything you're saying it like it is anti-consumer and it's fucking you over the the apathy like you just said entirely for me comes from like well i'm good yeah and steam actually does offer like way more pros than the other platforms like you do it's an open platform a lot of games do not have DRM so like you you own the game more so than on other platforms like you can just
Starting point is 00:10:18 launch them through an EXE file a lot not every game is that way obviously Jesus Christ check please oh sorry I started a timer that check please that's too scary um how do I stop it check please help okay somebody help I've sweated already that's crazy um yeah what was I saying uh check please yeah you just have more freedom on Steam yeah plus freedom cheaper plus Steam, like on PC, you always have the opportunity for mods, so then you, like, most of your favourite games are going to have, like, just infinite content. And games are preserved better on PC as well. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:00 If you're concerned about that angle of it. And Perpa 8031 said, I'm in a very similar situation, big PlayStation Physical collection, and I'm forced to buy digital. One, I don't want to, and B, I'll be priced out of my non-Indy titles. Buying Physical was cheaper 99% at the time and has allowed me on new. numerous occasions to lend games to friends slash family once I completed them. It's a big deal and it will price many people out of the hobby, especially with them continuing to increase the price of the PS5 after release multiple times.
Starting point is 00:11:28 Then if you've seen what's happened to their social media, it's pretty funny. No. Once they announced it, they disappeared for a few days and then just started acting like everything was normal. Right. But like, the replies are crazy. Tens of thousands of them. Like people are pissed. I still unfortunately think they're not going to backtrack.
Starting point is 00:11:46 because I heard Jason Shreyer uploaded a video breaking down the numbers of just how much more they make from a digital sale so I think they're just like in the sadest most pathetic way possible they're just fucking over their fan base for the bottom line there's nothing new yeah the thing is for me is like it was gonna happen
Starting point is 00:12:07 it was it doesn't make it right no but it's yeah I never saw a future where like discs would stay that was never going to be the case not for games anyway
Starting point is 00:12:27 no which is a shame because like I mean long term movies won't either I think there'll always be like a criteria on like specialist market and stuff like that yeah which I think will shrink and shrink going forward I mean like Walmart and shit like I'm pretty sure they stop selling Blu-rays and that kind of thing in America.
Starting point is 00:12:49 Yeah. Because everyone just streams everything. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what I mean. It's like, I'm supply and demand. Because that's what I used to be like all in on the digital thing. Um, and then as we got deeper into the Netflix streaming bullshit and it was like, oh, it's just gone. You could see the writing on the wall.
Starting point is 00:13:06 It's like, no, it's going to be like, um, they can just write something off and it's just gone forever. Yeah, yeah. So it's like, okay, fuck you then. I'm just going to go back to sailing the seven seas and just keep it all, um, um, in a form that you cannot take from me. Yeah. So, Clanker Plum said,
Starting point is 00:13:22 I'm surprised the Jar Boys didn't mention that Sony also pulled 500 films from their services. Nice. Yep. Just what we were saying, bullshit. Why? Just like licensing and just like, you know,
Starting point is 00:13:37 I didn't think they wanted to provide that as a service anymore or something. I don't know, I'd have to research that more, but I do remember hearing that. Sony are a pretty shitty movie studio anyway, so... Yeah, they release some terrible shit. Yeah. They also release Blader on others, so...
Starting point is 00:13:53 And Spiderverse. Yeah. Yeah, they own some good IP, is the problem. Matt Very Cool says, I don't know where Jim saw that Bam is back with the jackass crew. He said literally yesterday at the time of writing that he never wants to see them ever again. He's only in the new one through archive footage.
Starting point is 00:14:11 I saw a clip recently where, like, they were, all together. That must have been something out of context. Maybe it was like spliced together where they'd actually been filmed separately. Right. There were like cuts between it. Ritum said, What if Redacted was in the club when he met Agent K around hella Slugs?
Starting point is 00:14:32 Ooh. Would have been nice if you could have got the worms in there somehow, but... I think that's what he was alluding to with the slugs. Yeah, yeah, but... Got to get the rhyme to work sometimes. I know, I know. I'm not like it's, I'm not just digging for the second digging, you know, but, but, but good? They're the ones. Mild clownery said, when you say good afternoon, morning, evening or night, ladies and gentlemen, can you say good afternoon morning evening or night, ladies and gentlemen?
Starting point is 00:14:59 And Nico, thanks. No. No. What, are you Nico Belloc from Chief T.A. Grand Theft Auto? I'm a Nico Bellic, brave. That's my Nico Bellic impression. Can you beep that, please? No, I'm going to like amplify that.
Starting point is 00:15:18 Yeah, amp it. And make a sort of like classic remix of it. Yeah. Make a little YouTube paper. Using the, the GTA4 theme. Oh, it is a good theme, to be fair. It is. A catchphrase fan says,
Starting point is 00:15:35 In the comedy discussion, I'm surprised Alex didn't mention Stuart Lee as a favorite comedian. The way he drags out jokes to the point where their initial purpose loses all meaning. and the way he directly sabotages the format of stand-up just to frustrate the audience feels incredibly Alex-like.
Starting point is 00:15:50 Hmm. He is funny, to be fair. I don't know who you're talking about, to be honest. Yeah, because you only care about American media. Yeah. And the last one for housekeeping. Spuffin 9545 says, Preface, this is not a troll post.
Starting point is 00:16:04 I hate to be saying this, but I watched Minions 4. I thought it was actually pretty good. I got roped into seeing it with my girlfriend and her friend and got slightly sloshed in preparation, but somehow ended up enjoying it, mild recommendation for a redemption arc review of minions four not a high bar by any means but it's easily the best illumination film i may i actually agree it is the best illumination film there we are then not that i've seen all of them i still have yet to see migration and despicable me four of course i've seen despicable me four that's um who will grue be tonight that's the question that song is fire too they got some fire songs at least Pharrell going in hard. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:16:46 Ferrell does cook needlessly for the sake of despicable me. What's your take on happy? I can't, like... I would never save it, you know? But I can't deny that, like... It makes you happy.
Starting point is 00:17:03 It kind of makes you feel kind of happy. Clap along if you feel like a ruin a roof. It is actually amazing. It's incredible. like that one then following it up with the um no double life's the fourth one three had the trey parker one yeah yeah yeah dine on the sign on you were obsessed with that one yeah hug me bring it yeah that's right yeah good shit good shit and minions and monsters was um i called my review on it on i tv tv like something
Starting point is 00:17:39 so fucking trolly it was like um minions and monsters answers needs an Oscar. It might actually get one. I mean, and then I was going, I was just feeling like cheeky that day, because then as soon as it finished, I went on letterboxed and put a review. No, I just wrote a thing saying better than Toy Story 5. Non-ironically. And I actually stand by that. Hell yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:07 I had way more fun with. Yeah, I mean, at least, like, with illumination, they've set their own bar. So low. Yeah, I said the exact same thing. Mariana Trench Deep. Yeah. So then making something this late. What?
Starting point is 00:18:23 Yeah. I was actually, like, laughing. There was some gags. I once watched, um, part of that Pets movie. Oh my God, I hate those. Yeah. Secret life of fucking, it wasn't a wanker comedian in it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:38 Yeah, Lou. Lou Root. Uh. Buggily. Yeah, they got some cursed cast members actually because Russell Brands in like the original Minions. I mean, um... Despicable Me's.
Starting point is 00:18:52 Chop? No, you're right. In the first Despicable Me, that's the one Feral song it doesn't hit. Oh, yeah, that one's shit. I've been having a bad bad day. Yeah, he sucks in that one. That one's shit. That's when, that's Ferell phoning it in.
Starting point is 00:19:08 When he realized what like, Despicable Me was. The strength, like the power of it. Yeah. Yeah. So we have a couple of topics to talk about. Chicken jockey amongst? I would say.
Starting point is 00:19:23 Do you want... Do you want the grandpa one or do you want the rubbish one? Neither of those are like jumping out of me. You ought to pick one. Flip a flogh. When you say grandpa one, do you mean like our grandpa? Nothing to do with our grandpa, but a grandpa of sorts. Oh, right. Let's listen to the grandpa of sorts then.
Starting point is 00:19:44 Okay. Okay, this is... Can you do one of those? You know when there's a news like alert? Then I'll be the news broadcaster. Can I do the BBC one? Yeah. Boop.
Starting point is 00:19:58 Boop. Boop. Does go hard. Oh no, I'm doing countdown now. Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. Bada. Bada. This just in.
Starting point is 00:20:10 Redacted's grandfather has been fast. Hey, everyone's dancing in the streets. So here's the question, right? If redacted law has been expanded upon, are we allowed to say his name in the episode? Does it remove the redact? Check, please. Because I was not expecting this, bro. I sent you a text the other day.
Starting point is 00:20:38 Yeah. I don't know if you remember. Yeah, no, you did. Right after I saw Supergirl. That's right. Yeah, okay. Yeah, I think, yeah. We can bring him back.
Starting point is 00:20:49 We can bring him back. So we're allowed to say it right now? Just for this section, let's say. Okay. Pony's Grandpa, I didn't realize was even out there, but he's like active. He somehow got cast in Supergirl.
Starting point is 00:21:04 That's so fucking funny. It's the last thing I was fucking expecting, but it's actually. I was like, I was sat there watching this shit fucking superhero film that fucking sucked. It was so fucking bad, right? Then it gets to this glorious scene where I'm like, that's what it needed
Starting point is 00:21:19 the clouds part and the gold rays come down yeah yeah yeah and it's like oh my god he's there there he is it's like just a little bit of him you know yeah Seth Rogan
Starting point is 00:21:29 Seth Rogan's born his grandpa for a whole like scene and he's got all these jokes so I should book a ticket um well they just revealed that it's like gonna be out on digital I think by the end of this month
Starting point is 00:21:45 so then. Yeah. So get ready for like a full on breakdown of that when we have like the footage, you know? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do you want to see him there?
Starting point is 00:21:56 Because I found... Yeah, I'll have a look. I found, yeah. Like, I mean, he's aged. He is aged, but like, tell me if that's not... Oh, that. Spiritual.
Starting point is 00:22:13 Oh, shit. I didn't know we were working with that. Yeah. It's a divvy. ass film. There's dibbies in like every scene. Is there room in the thing to put him sat next to me? They might me. Well, I'll make some room. I was thinking that like he's definitely the thumb now. What's his name? 100% the thumb. Nobody knows. Yet. Hefty. For now he's just pornie's grandpa.
Starting point is 00:22:42 Porn grandpa. Grandporny? Yeah. So I'm fucking. There's hope. There's hope. Yeah, finally. Hope for the future. The porn's back. Thanks, Supergirl. That is genuinely the best thing about that film. Really?
Starting point is 00:22:59 I hated it. Really? I thought it was fucking awful. In terms of like Marvel movies, where would you put it? Like, what's it next to? The lower end. Next to... I think it's like worse than the first two Ant-Man's.
Starting point is 00:23:12 Okay. The first two? I'd say it's worse than... Maybe every Thor movie. Um, it's, it's fucking abysmal. Wow. Like it, like, like, incompetent. Like action scenes where it's like, oh my God, what the fuck is going on?
Starting point is 00:23:26 Shit, wow. Yeah, it's embarrassing. I'd be curious what you think. Maybe you like it more than me. Nice one, James guy. But I'm extra upset now because I started reading Women of Tomorrow. Oh, no way. I read the first issue.
Starting point is 00:23:39 Yeah. I'm just like, oh. Is it goated? This is the, this is the good stuff. It's like gorgeous. Yeah, yeah. I've seen artwork from it. And just succinct
Starting point is 00:23:51 The writing and stuff Yeah Is it good? Yeah, yeah So far It's very short But um Nice one James Gunn
Starting point is 00:23:57 You fucked it It's fucked now Oh well At least we got Avengers Infinity Eng It does reframe like the We only do our movies When we have a script
Starting point is 00:24:08 That's badass Yeah It's like why'd you say that man Yeah Why'd you do any of the shit If Clayface sucks Then I'm gonna shit in a bin And fucking live in it
Starting point is 00:24:18 Um, so any other thoughts on Pony's grandpa being revealed? Um, I hope they just give him, like in the future DC movies. I hope they're just give him more sexual energy than Pony ever got. Porni was pretty sexual. In hindsight, Pony was kind of sexual. I retract my previous statements. He was literally hanging out of Kanye going to like, didby parties. Yeah, freak-offs.
Starting point is 00:24:43 Pony getting fucking put up inside. Yeah, fuck. Yeah, he's a sexual. Dude, we can't go on a tangent like this, because then it's another month. This is what happens. This is why we can't say his fucking name. Well, if Hollywood doesn't hand us these fucking juicy treats, then like, what the fuck are we supposed to do about that? Like, we can't control that.
Starting point is 00:25:05 I fucking miss him, man. Well... I fucking miss him. His granddad ain't shit. Don't say that. His granddad ain't shit in comparison to the real fucking thing. Well, you haven't seen him, to be fair. Maybe when you see him in action, you're always...
Starting point is 00:25:18 be like yeah maybe when he moves I'll be like oh yeah I see it more now but he's he's not him I'll do the pornies granddad cut yeah yeah yeah can watch that yeah can watch of Supergirl please yeah I'll watch no other version of Supergirl then we can then we'll do a video watching the pony cat and then we'll do a Supergirl review yeah yeah or you can review Supergirl just on the Granddad Pornie cut yeah yeah that's what I mean um okay yeah fuck so that's fucking gorgeous. Other thing a lot of people writing about was Count Binface
Starting point is 00:25:56 obviously. Right, yeah, of course. That's the big one. But Rockcox says your thoughts on the whole Nigel Farage, Count Binface thing. And a really fascinating one from Rip Flood, who is actually from Clacton. Oh shit. Which I didn't realize. The trenches. Because they'd mentioned things about like politics and
Starting point is 00:26:14 talking and interviewing people in that area or something before. And I hadn't put two and two together, but Bear Bear brothers and bravettes I feel it is inevitable that you will discuss Nigel Farage and Count Binhead As a Clactan native I feel I should toss my hat into the ring Tosh it in
Starting point is 00:26:30 I'll preface this with my qualifications I work two jobs One of which isn't relevant but the other is public facing Burp I just did a silent burp But then said a bird Fuck But that grew me off so bad
Starting point is 00:26:47 This means for roughly half the week I spend nine hours of the day talking with the general public. Man. Jesus, that's a long. You like the news, man. This just in. This just in. Peter is leaving
Starting point is 00:27:00 care hog or whatever the fuck. Cowhog. Pony's granddad has been discovered in facture. Pawnee's granddad is going up against Nigel Farage. Porni's dad was the five million donor. Porni fucking asshole. So Nigel Farage is resigning his MP and then running again because he knows he can win. There is no debate on whether
Starting point is 00:27:24 or not he can win, he will win. Clacton's demographic is largely elderly people who either live in care homes or they are retirees from London. Broadly speaking, most retirement age and working class people are far right. And from the countless discussions I've had, I can tell you that Tommy Robinson and Nigel Farage are both immensely popular. A regular at my work even comes in to show my co-worker videos of her participating in the Tommy Robinson riot. which they do refer which they do refer to them as riots. When I first read it, I thought they said they don't
Starting point is 00:27:57 refer them as riots, but I guess they do. They're proud of that. I should also point out that the next town over is J.Wick, which I believe is literally the most impoverished town in the UK. These figures probably aren't exact, but as far as I remember, since being elected as MP two years ago, Farage has only made four public appearances,
Starting point is 00:28:13 one where a milkshake was thrown at him and several others where he went to the pier area and just spouted a bunch of bullshit it like any politician. Then there are a handful of times he's come here for private reasons, but I wouldn't be able to quantify that even if I tried. As someone who lives here and works half the week in the town centre, I can safely say that Nigel Farage has done fuck all tangible work. I've seen no change in my life, there's no change in my co-workers' lives, and there's no tangible facts or figures that suggest that Nigel Farage has accomplished anything.
Starting point is 00:28:43 Count Binface put it perfectly when he was asked whether he will come to Clacton. He doesn't need to. Farage has seldomly been here and it doesn't matter. Even if Count Binface or Farage never come to Clacton, nothing will change. And the aging population here is so beyond help that they'll vote for Nigel either way, because they're so firmly stuck in their ways. It's a safe bet to say that this whole stunt is a way for Farage to prove to a national audience that he does have supporters.
Starting point is 00:29:10 I can guarantee that losing isn't even on his mind, especially considering he is facing practically zero opposition. The people living here probably don't even know who Count Binface is, and definitely couldn't tell you the reclaim guy's name. Long story short, I love being from the town known for UKIP and Nigel Farage. Crazy fucking work. That's an incredibly good input, and I can tell you're in journalism. I can tell you're in journalism.
Starting point is 00:29:37 Hey, I'm Clark Kent. I can tell you're in journalism. So I assume you've seen a bunch of the clips, but I wanted to go through some of them. Yep. Up down, left, right. Up down left right Because this is like I've seen some people being like Oh this is just Reddit humor
Starting point is 00:29:56 You're just being Reddit to cringe And it's like no this guy's actually funny dude He's actually doing it is This is different Do you remember the other day I don't think I said this on the cast Where I was like You know what we're like so fucking cook politically
Starting point is 00:30:08 We need like Someone who presents Kind of in a Trumpish sort of way But has something behind it That is just like actually insane We need a communist populist. We need, um... What's his fucking name?
Starting point is 00:30:24 Who was like pre-Stalin Stalin, Stalin before Stalin? Troosil. Ah, seen bollil. Yeah, them. Yeah. Um... We need him. Lenin.
Starting point is 00:30:35 Vladimir Lenin. We need Lenin back. No. No, we need Count Binfaces, my point. No, we need Lenin's body, Count Binfaces's mind. No. What the fuck you talk? We want bin-faced's body and bin-faced's mind. So, like, the first one is he went on news night.
Starting point is 00:31:01 And, like, they were holding him to this, like, standard that I've never seen them all the politician to it. It's fucking funny. Like, listen to the fucking bin face. Serious times. Why don't you bin off the bin on news night now? We know that your name is John. And we know really a lot about you. Isn't this time for serious times to bin off the bin?
Starting point is 00:31:24 Oh, here we go. I mean, as anyone here seen Return of the Jedi, nobody wants to know what's underneath a recycling. It's disgusting. It's absolutely putrefying. No, no. If you want to be serious with me, I'll tell you, you want to talk to Count BinFace
Starting point is 00:31:38 and then you get me on Newsnight and you start trying to deconstruct a character, I would say, what are we doing here? On a program which used to construct proper investigative journalism, and now is a souped-up podcast, Paddy. Well, I mean, a zip-tup podcast is where people want to know about transparency. And this is the point.
Starting point is 00:31:56 You're not transparent, and that's the criticism being made with Nigel Farage. Saying you're not transparent to count this is crazy. Yeah, what the fuck? How are we here? So good. What has happened? Oh, please let him win.
Starting point is 00:32:11 Please God. Yeah. This is like the best thing to happen in British politics in a long time. he's our one shining beam at home yeah i i genuinely at this point i'm like just making prime like why yeah yeah why not yeah skip past the other guy get past just skip andy and go to let's just put it in the bed
Starting point is 00:32:31 put parliament in the bed it's funny shit like um people that uh like run water companies his his law would be that they have to swim in the water like before yeah hell yeah I know what I mean? Yeah, that's a cool fucking law. This is a BBC interview with him. First question, why would an intergalactic space warrior
Starting point is 00:32:53 want to stand to be the MP for Clacton? Why not? It's a good question. Tell me about your manifesto. What can you offer the people of Clacton? Have you ever been there? No, because I understand from the current incumbent, that is part of how you do the job.
Starting point is 00:33:13 So I deliberately stayed away. Is that how it works? better, you know. He's quick, man. Yeah. He's clever. He's doing the Lord's work. He's the only guy who's put his foot in the ring
Starting point is 00:33:25 and has been like, I'm going to actually stand up against this. Yeah. And apparently the dude, he's like Oxford educated and like... No way. Yeah. He's like, he's not a dumbass. Yeah. Let's see this one from Sky News.
Starting point is 00:33:41 You are a dumbass if you're not Oxford educated, by the way. True. A man with a bin on his head. And it's not the Tory candidate. Nice one, Sky. B'allah! But, oh, okay. Anyway, brother.
Starting point is 00:34:02 I'm going to hand you back to it. Ha ha. Ah. Oh, right, okay. Yeah, go on then. Go on then. Go on, name. Who are you?
Starting point is 00:34:13 My name. What kind of journalist is this? You don't know? Have a look. I got my list here. Burnham. No, I realised that. Oh, you're Count Binface, yeah?
Starting point is 00:34:22 There you go. You did go to journalism school. Excellent, yes, I am. A long time ago. I beg you pardon? I said a long time ago. Yeah, oh, well, I wouldn't have known. Why are you standing in this election?
Starting point is 00:34:31 Just a stunt? It's A, because it's happening. B, I was at a loose end. C, because I believe elected mayors should serve out their terms before they're eligible to stand for parliament. Oh, you made a sensible political or serious political point there. Well, no, you're supposed to be impartial, mate. I'm going to replace the traffic lights on Liverpool Road. I'll price cap wick and kebabs at two pounds.
Starting point is 00:34:52 I'll make cyclists to disobey the highway code, have to ride unicycles instead, and I will turn HS2 into FFS1 and rerouted... You're not going to swear, are you? No, no, no, no, I'm perfectly... Although we are past the watershed, but don't worry. I'm not, no, no, we don't be swearing, please. I promise I won't.
Starting point is 00:35:09 I'm a good boy. And, no, but I'm going to reroute it through rail executives' homes. I'm going to build at least one affordable house. I could go on. What's the ante said he's going to do? He said lots he's going to do, and he changes his mind from time to time. But anyway, are you going to save your deposit?
Starting point is 00:35:26 Probably not. No, in a word. But if I could beat the Tories, or the Lib Dems, that would be quite funny. He's got like a Twitter account. And he posted this picture, On My Way, Clacton. It's like this fucking Batman, like,
Starting point is 00:35:44 you put a bin in the fucking bat signal and it's like oh this one's good this might be the last one you run on LBC hell yeah if you got elected do you realize that you would not be able
Starting point is 00:36:04 to wear your current facial covering the commons rules which have got in front of me here are very very clear and they forbid face coverings Well, I mean, the Commons rules are very clear about what you can do with donations. But that seems to have got all murky, so why can't I see how the line can get tested? I mean, look, if Black Rod can slip in under the guidelines, why can't I?
Starting point is 00:36:31 It's smacks of double standards, Andrew. Tell fucking yes. How is this, like, where we're at, like, genuinely. he's he's the he's the chosen one um so yeah um unfortunately like oh that other wanker the guy that used to be married to billy piper um Chris Evans Chris Evans
Starting point is 00:37:01 what are you talking about the radio fucking is that his name? Yeah am I getting mixed up with it I don't know if they were married but they were together the ugly Chris Evans I thought it was like the father of like
Starting point is 00:37:19 Billy Piper's children I don't fucking well maybe not then Lawrence Fox yeah you know this cunt I mean wanker not really he's like notorious he's notorious but he's notorious
Starting point is 00:37:32 but he's for some reason standing up for Clacton what the fuck Is he the goat no he's not the fucking goat He's the vote. And also Jeremy Corby's brother. Oh, cool.
Starting point is 00:37:47 It's sounding up as well. It's like, no, you're splitting the Binface vote. Yeah, let Binface get his fucking pig in. When it was just Nigel and Binface, that was prime. Yeah. This is what happens. We need some sort of like two-party system. Agreed.
Starting point is 00:38:05 Finally, we can agree on something. I'm the pig getting chopped. in the sockets. Would you ever work at a slaughterhouse? A laughter house. I thought the pigs were just laughing until I went in. I thought the pigs were just laughing until I went in. That's the name of my first album.
Starting point is 00:38:33 Pigs laughing. No, I thought the pigs were laughing until I went in. That's too long. Not allowed to know. No, it's one of those like long artsy sort of things. No, I think, um, you're only allowed one or two words most
Starting point is 00:38:46 like cuck or bully Oh, okay What about World War III? Skidish Skittooz We'll see you after these messages No you won't We're gonna be in darkness

Starting point is 00:40:01 yeah run anyway I love that like attaching myself to the concept of running in media has like ruined so much shit yeah yeah because it's like
Starting point is 00:40:14 fucking everything. It is in everything. Run! It pulls you out immediately now seeing that. Because like in every in your whole lifespan
Starting point is 00:40:28 so far have you ever shouted run. Run! When I was a kid, when I was a kid like imitating movies. Like when you're playing. When I was playing Star Wars. Run! That's a rancor!
Starting point is 00:40:40 Run! In the playground at school. General Grevis. He's coming. Run! I don't have my lightsaber. Run! Or, you know, your fucking...
Starting point is 00:40:52 Your goat, Bryce Dallas Howard, she does the best run in cinema history. Yeah. Won! Everybody! One! Especially because it's like a scary diner, you know? Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:07 It's the endoraptor. It's a genetically modified super dinosaur that's part raptor, part T-rex, part snake. Part frog! Run! Part Bryce Dallas Howard. 70% Bunda!
Starting point is 00:41:21 Run! I'm running straight at it. So, okay, look. So we're going to the second half of the cast where we head over to the suggestion thread over on the JAR subreddit. Just in case you didn't hear, this is the second half of the cast.
Starting point is 00:41:38 I repeat the second half of the cast where we head over to the JAR Media are slash JAR Media where people such as yourselves could send us a few questions to answer just in case you didn't hear. R-slash, Pawnee's grandpa.
Starting point is 00:41:53 Pornie's granddad. Yeah. Which would be more... What do Americans say? Because they own everything, so it needs to pander to them. To Americans? Yeah. They say, get your goddamn guns out of the office, son. R-slash-Ponnie's Granddad's gun. Pornie's Granddad's rifle.
Starting point is 00:42:13 In 48 hours, becomes the most subscribe to you in subreddit of all time. Um, so I got a handful to do from a group chat first. Like, Wiltsy cured hamful. Yeah, like, I like it cured and I like it salty. Yeah, cure that fucking ham, would you? Um, the first is from the blimp fruit who says, Jim. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:34 I saw you up the front Samara Joy on Monday. Oh shit. Did you like the jazz? Sorry I didn't get to say hi. I was stuck behind a hundred geriatrics trying to get out. auditorium. That's awesome. So you mentioned Samara Joy on The Jarl Radio we did.
Starting point is 00:42:50 I did. And you saw her in Bradford on Avan, right? I did. Check please. Oh my God. I can't say a bad word about that concert. Like it's one of the best I've seen. Like, classy.
Starting point is 00:43:08 It was classy. And it was in just like a primary school or something or a secondary school. I don't know. and like I love that aspect of it where it was like all these these more local like older people yeah yeah there was a range of ages but mostly like middle to old aged people I don't know how many young people really care about jazz unfortunately no um and you know to reach their own sort of thing but I'm so glad that like she's traveled they're like an international band where's she from?
Starting point is 00:43:44 So she's like a legit like American jazz sing. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's fucking cool. And she has the most incredible voice you've ever heard ever. And I genuinely, like, you have not heard a voice like that. Especially not in person. No, no, it's different. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:03 And the, like, the small little inflections she'd do, like in person, you're picking up on everything. And like the music is designed around having like quiet moments. loud moments and so like often like when you see like music live you kind of expect the vocals to not be as good as like they're produced like recording and um
Starting point is 00:44:25 everything not like it the majority of concerts like modern concerts it's like everything is just set to loud yeah you know everything a wall of noise yeah and that's like fun and nice and shit and for songs that you love like when we went to see guerrillas like it's uh it's kind of how you want to
Starting point is 00:44:42 hear those songs but this environment and I had like a glass of red wine Yeah I was gonna ask about beverages If it was in like a school or whatever Yeah no they still had like a bar A bar quote unquote Like it was like a little pop up kind of Yeah it wasn't like meant for that person
Starting point is 00:44:59 Yeah yeah It was more like a Like a lunch ladies like section You know Yeah it was fantastic That's such a shame you didn't come and say hi there That's cool they blimp saw you made a note
Starting point is 00:45:14 Um Piss on my dick How is that even possible? It says, Do you irrationally hate Any celebrities for no real reason? Personally, I can't stand Tom Holland And I have no idea why
Starting point is 00:45:26 Seems like the nicest guy around But I loathe him I can give you some reasons to loathe him I hate his like Oh, Tom Holland's alcohol free beer You know, it's... I don't like his media presence, it's cringe. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:42 reappears on podcast and stuff it's very just like media trained kind of yeah yeah he's he's he's inauthentic yeah he's inauthentic he's an agent of the system you know but he plays a damn good spider man um and that i can't deny i like him like as an actor yeah yeah just picks a lot of shit projects uncharted was fun shatter do you have anything that pops to your mind i've got one if you want to think for a moment yeah let me think you mine is jacob alawdi Yeah. I got no reason to except because he's so tall and handsome and like, yeah,
Starting point is 00:46:16 yeah, like jealousy. Yeah, just pure like, entreatred envy and jealousy. Yeah, green eyes. Like, not even trying to like hide that.
Starting point is 00:46:24 Yeah. It's like. A he. Uh-huh. That's a great pick. I'm struggling because I've got good reasons for all of my enemies. Yeah, because you can't pick the like usual suspects.
Starting point is 00:46:40 You're rocks. You're Kevin Hart. They have good reason to be disposed. That's what I'm saying. That's why you can't pick them for this question. Yeah, yeah. It's probably someone you've got no reason to. I had no reason to hate Ryan Reynolds for a while.
Starting point is 00:46:54 No, come. No, Ryan Gosling, sorry. You hated Ryan Gosling? For a time. Maybe it was a jealousy thing, maybe. He's like the paragon Ryan Reynolds, you know? Yeah, yeah. It wasn't until I saw him in, um, I think it was,
Starting point is 00:47:11 Oh, he's in loads of good movies. What are they, what's it fucking called, though? The, um, the, um, the, like, detectives, but they're like shit. The nice guys. The nice guys, yeah. Where, it, because everything he'd done before them was so, like, self-serious. Kind of, like, stil-y. Yeah, he's really good at comedy, actually.
Starting point is 00:47:29 Yeah, he's, I think he's now, like, leaning into that, and I think it makes him way more likable. And when you see interviews with him and stuff, he seems, yeah. Have you seen that one for Blade Runner? With the, I think so. with the British, she's like an ITV British host. It's really funny. And the way him and Harrison Ford
Starting point is 00:47:50 bounce off of her, like, that's funny. It's cool. It's cool. Yeah, because it was funny and charming in Project Hail Mary. He was good in Barbie. Yeah, yeah, and Blade Runner, obviously.
Starting point is 00:47:59 That was probably the main one where I was like, okay, I have to like, you know. Yeah, yeah. Because this film is fucking goaded. Mm-hmm. I can't think of any others off the dome. I'm going to think of one. I bet the second we stop.
Starting point is 00:48:14 Yeah, that's always how it works. Yeah. Well, 15 lurking jellybin smirking says, if you could make an inanimate object edible, what object would you choose, and what would you make it taste like? Oh. Inanimate object.
Starting point is 00:48:34 Hmm. Or something that looks tasty. Pale? No, Lego. Ooh. And what? Gummy. Like gummies, yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:44 Yeah. Yeah, that's a shout. The obvious colours are like the... Yeah, yeah, yeah. chemical version of the fruit. Yeah, like red blue, red, red, red two. Blue raspberry. Blue goo.
Starting point is 00:48:56 Cherry apple. Cherry apple. Berry chapel. Chapel Rhone. Chapel Rhen. Chapel. Shaquil O'Neal flavored. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:06 I feel like clothes. Ooh. Like fabric. Yeah, fat, but it's like, um... Oh, no, you're getting my mind wearing now, like bubble wrap. Oh, that's a goody, actually. What a taste of, though? Fruity splosion
Starting point is 00:49:20 Candy floss Fruity explosion We're jumping immediately to sweet What about cardboard, beef jerky? Yeah, cardboard's good It's just paper Pulpy, beef jerky Is that the bucket you keep jiggling?
Starting point is 00:49:36 Yeah, is it upsetting? No, it's more just the audio It'll be picked up in the background I've heard people like it, though, the sound I mean? If they like it then Yeah, that's what I was told Sure
Starting point is 00:49:45 That's what I've been informed of um Xbox controller Yeah Like cables and wires Like cats like chewing on them Yeah yeah I kind of get it
Starting point is 00:49:58 Like a strawberry laces Yeah exactly like rubber Yeah blubber They were blubbers Blubbers from a creature That we should not be eating Why? What whales
Starting point is 00:50:10 Wait you pro whaling now That's actually your day job You're fucking We're keeping that real quiet Yeah Yorg That'd be kind of a crazy scandal That would be a good jar scandal
Starting point is 00:50:25 Yeah He's been a whaler Get him I did the research And I found out That Jim's actually a fucking whaler Let's set for the seven seas And take down this brute
Starting point is 00:50:37 Oh I'm doing that thing Where I just like Look around the room I'm in To come up with ideas Foam Foam yeah Foam bananas I mean yeah
Starting point is 00:50:47 all of these are basically like what they're already made of like all these fucking sweets like lava lamp goo what about human human is not inanimate dead human like what about the like carved willy of a Greek statue yeah and it tastes like what about tree tree that's not inanimate it's animate okay beetles they're animate they're anime okay uh I'm a beetle, dude. An attack on Titan, Titan? They are also animate.
Starting point is 00:51:25 They're animated, dude. They're animated, dude. You understand they're animated, correct. Okay, Xbox discs. You can't use them anymore anyway. You might as well fucking eat them. I can make it like a good salad with them, I thought. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:40 The texture would be nice against, like, other flavors to cut through. It's this PlayStation? No, no, Xbox. That's Nintendo Wii, my boy. there's an example of discs that will forever be utilized true Nintendo's like the last bastion of disc yeah
Starting point is 00:51:58 apart from they're not disc they're little fucking plug plugs yeah I'm fine with that I'm fine with little plug plugs I'll take a plug over a nut over a nut speaking of plugs like that's not an eye not like a butt plug butt plug what would a butt plug
Starting point is 00:52:13 what would a butt plug taste of pay clever shit My boy. I came up with that one all on my own. That's clever. I just came up with that one. I just did.
Starting point is 00:52:28 I feel like we had some good answers for that one. So Alejandro Alvarez has the next one. You're going to play GTA 6 on launch day? No. I'm going to buy it three times. I need to make sure rock start as well. I'm just going to wait for it to be on Switch 2. Okay.
Starting point is 00:52:47 Coward. I'm just going to wait for it to be on Switch 2. Daddy Dumpur 35 says, maybe less so a suggestion, but I have to say, Daddy Dump. There's a moment, I think, flew under the radar completely that if the timing were right, could have been jar bit to rival Bear Bear,
Starting point is 00:53:05 humans born fresh, etc. One time when Jim had gone to the bathroom, James, for no real reason, if I remember right, started to describe his poo. Well, more specifically, the color of his poo as he was wiping. He said he looked, at the paper and it was slimy and colored quote copper gold
Starting point is 00:53:22 I don't know why I think back to this sometimes and just start laughing it's just so horrible do either if you have any memories of the cast or sayings that you feel are a bit underrated
Starting point is 00:53:37 um no I don't that's fucking foul that's unbelievable copper gold fuck that guy I'm gonna fucking block his earth for that one that's insane I don't know somehow danced in school is
Starting point is 00:53:55 what kind of pops into my head what's that one? That's not underrated though Is that something you said? No, that's something James said He like He forwarded his chest Because he like shut down a question
Starting point is 00:54:09 By saying, are you forgetting that I somehow danced in school And it was just like like a complete non-secondary that's so good so like when I watch that clip sometimes and still just be like what the where did that come from? Yeah what's he trying to say
Starting point is 00:54:31 with that one that's like a good shit that's a good shit yeah there's some good shits oh man I'll go some out dance as cool as well that's fucking awesome underrated moments so well speaking of
Starting point is 00:54:47 copper what about um You know, gold, just normal gold. Oh yeah, the gold. Have you seen the state of gold at the moment? Is it going to the moon? It's, um, no, quite the opposite. It's kind of dropping.
Starting point is 00:55:02 Really? The gold standard? Frighteningly. No, it isn't. It is. Wait, but Ben Shapiro convinced me to invest in gold. All my money's in gold. Ben Shapiro invested. No, he convinced me because I only watched Daily Wire content.
Starting point is 00:55:16 Fuck. Well, there goes the mortgage. There goes my God. God damn Nintendo Switch 2 There goes me Playing GDA 6 on day one Um I like edible food
Starting point is 00:55:32 Says bear bear bear Bair squared boyers You have to pick one as a roommate They will pay rent So that's not the part of the question You have to live with them for a year Which one do you choose Gets from Peep Show
Starting point is 00:55:46 Charlie from It's Always Sunny Quagmire No. Will Smith and his entire family. No. Jar J.G. Binks. 6,539 live centipedes. Or A.J. Soprano.
Starting point is 00:56:03 The first one. Jez from Peep Show. He's by far the best option, though. Um, I'm torn between Jar Jha Jha and Will Smith's family. Jhajah Jha. Really? Yeah. Do you know I've been practicing the Jajar walk?
Starting point is 00:56:21 Do you want to see it? Yeah, yeah, go for it. Check, please. Check please. Whoa. That's perfected, dude. That's what I do, like, three hours today. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:40 That's your grind on the treadmill, like. So, Jaja's my answer. Okay. No, fair. Yeah. I think Quigong taught him good table-side men. manor at the table do you remember when he catches his tongue oh do you think from that moment we need like a comic spin-off where he has like a flashback to that and he's like he goes to like
Starting point is 00:57:00 finishing school with like keerdamundi or something like ekewian that's and he's like oh god george lucas was in the new minions movie you're joking like he's actually in it in a comedic way he's in it in the opening scene he's like been captured in a glass box and he's like, can you let me out please? Really? Yeah. Can I always have my phone, please? Nice one, George.
Starting point is 00:57:30 I'm glad he's still book him work. He's finally in a movie. Yeah, he's finally in multiple movies. Um, well, that's all the questions. No, it's not, there's a few more. There's only nine more questions. Ooh, let's do this one from The Other Jamie.
Starting point is 00:57:49 Hello, Jamie. B, B, B and PPP, P, boys. Beat, Beat, Baby, Baby, Baby. I've been catching up with the yogs over the past few days and had a series of quickfire comments. Loved hearing the Sekaro talk. Pretty sure I'd rank it as my number one game. Jim mentioned he had no notes and the only note I can think of
Starting point is 00:58:06 that I stole from other critics without analyzing for myself. Although the chained ogre is a bad early game boss since you can't really parry him or deal posture damage. So he doesn't teach you the core mechanics. Also the boss rush mode is great, but it has a high barrier to entry at least three. full play-throughs to unlock everything, which sucks if you just want to
Starting point is 00:58:25 hop in and fight some boss's thoughts. You're wrong. I'm not sure if I really agree with the ogre thing. I don't agree with the yoga thing, because I feel like it's to incentivise you to spend more time at the Herata estate where you get the flame vent, which is the weakness of,
Starting point is 00:58:44 guess what? Ta-O-G-O-G-I. But also, isn't it teaching you that not everything can be parried and that it's the grab thing. Yeah, yeah. Getting you to wrap your head around. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:58 It is like a difficulty spike. I wouldn't disagree with that. Once you know it, it's easy. Mario 64, pretty good. Mary Galaxy, pretty good. Mario Odyssey, the goat. Wow. Wrong.
Starting point is 00:59:13 Interesting take. Wrong. Is this the same question? Yeah, it was a like, they had three. Oh, okay. Like, reloads. Mary Galaxy is the goat Or maybe even 64
Starting point is 00:59:25 Yours is 64 Mine's Galaxy, there's is Odyssey And that's fair There we go The Holy Trinity of Mazze The UK's social media ban is stupid For all the reasons you guys were up One alternative suggestion
Starting point is 00:59:39 I've heard a lot of people mention Is that social media companies Should be reclassified as publishers And that way they'd be legally required To moderate their content Or face fines For having unhinged racist conspiracy theory slop
Starting point is 00:59:51 on their platform. I think that idea has a lot more merit and we should be putting the onus on the powerful businesses to police their own shite or face consequences. But what do I know? Prohibition always works, right? PPP and BB. PPP and BB. PPP and BB. PPP and BB.
Starting point is 01:00:10 I totally agree that's some good shit. Keep cooking, dog. Well, because I'm a contrarian at heart, I disagree. I disagree on the fronts of the... On the front of the... of the rear. On the front of the r-oh. On the fronts of the rear.
Starting point is 01:00:26 On the fronts of the r-r-r-r-r-r-hays really likes it when I do that, that voice. Oh, on the rear-re... Dibble-Dob says... What a fucking dog-ass dog. Sorry, say the name again, I'll talk to that. She's not a dork-ass dog. She's cute and underrated. Hey, stupid dog.
Starting point is 01:00:47 Stupid dogs say what? This was Dibble-Dob who says, Bear Bear Chaps. How's the dog name list going? Speaking of dogs. It feels like it's been a while since we heard about it. Is there a better deal on there than Betfred and Gambler? We got a new one, a new addition today. So for those who aren't aware, this is my dog name list,
Starting point is 01:01:05 an ongoing list of names for pets of the future. What was the one you came up with today? Bucket. Yeah, bucket. I bucket for our feet. There are definitely some new ones. Should I read the whole thing again, or just like choose a point?
Starting point is 01:01:22 Choose a point that you know people know. I'll have to say, like, do you remember the Zodiac Killer? Maybe. Diane Ria? Yeah, that rings about. You remember that one? Diane. Leifer, you of course remember.
Starting point is 01:01:45 Leifer, of course, yeah. I wasn't born yesterday. Burp. Firepower Sunscreen Nice 40 I remember 40
Starting point is 01:01:59 The burping screamer That one fucking sucks FISA Pfizer's pretty good With the P Yeah Unit 40 Unit 40
Starting point is 01:02:13 I think That's the go to do In my opinion 40 and Unit 40. But 40 is spelled F-O-R-T-Y and Unit 40 is... Unit 40 and then 40. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:29 Badge. Okay. Vosiferous. Yeah, I remember vociferous. Quinine. Nice, yeah. Tonic water. Smackhead.
Starting point is 01:02:40 Really? Spittle. Yeah. Pre-n-up. Pre-n-up. Eyelash. Yeah. Pimple.
Starting point is 01:02:51 Okay. Glass. Cool. Cress. Cress. Like an egg and crass. Yeah. Clutch?
Starting point is 01:03:03 Yeah, clutch. That's a good one. Murderer. Definitely down there. Nunts. Wow. That's with you. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:18 Moment. Clark's on the one Nasty Ninch Yeah I know nasty Ringlet Okay Sciop
Starting point is 01:03:29 Cool Winky That's pretty good Damager Yeah yeah yeah I remember Damager That's like a
Starting point is 01:03:40 An early 2000s grime Damager Yeah Inger with a J Yeah Yeah I remember Damager and Injure are like a duo Yeah
Starting point is 01:03:50 Yeah, yeah. Foof. The architect. That's some shit, man. Just one called the. Quite like this one. Las Lothia. Ooh.
Starting point is 01:04:09 Les Lothia. Pippin' pooping. Uh-huh. Punk. Cool. Big pig. Uh-huh. Tummy-tum.
Starting point is 01:04:20 Yeah. Oh yeah. This is another duo one. Willing and able. Yeah. Little sip. Yeah. Powder.
Starting point is 01:04:32 Cool. Sediment. Right. Leaf. Ooh. Green Pokemon type. Rupature. Okay.
Starting point is 01:04:42 Another duo one. Puss and ulcer. Yeah. That one fucking sucks. Rind And the last one, bucket I think they're pretty good Some nice addition
Starting point is 01:05:00 That's your favourite 40 in unit 40 obviously You can't be Betfred and gambler Betfred in particular is a very good Betfred You can just call him Fred if you want to be a bit normal Yeah, yeah, exactly But like I'm imagining like
Starting point is 01:05:18 On the paperwork at the vet It says bet, Fred. Yeah. Sorciest in town has one for us. Maybe this can be our last. Okay. This is in reference to Alex saying that left and right labels are useless and arbitrary
Starting point is 01:05:35 because I entirely agree with this sentiment. I'm in the US and I feel it's important to consider why exactly we're in the position that we're in. Where it feels that we're still fighting for basic rights and the rest of the world is seemingly ahead of us. I know a lot of people in the United States want to pretend like it doesn't exist,
Starting point is 01:05:48 but we do have a massive debt crisis. It feels like politicians in the U.S. see solving our debt problems and giving Americans more worker rights and protections as mutually exclusive values. And this idea was actually begun with Bill Clinton, who was the last president that balanced the budget. Since then, specifically after 9-11, the U.S. political climate has essentially been Republicans
Starting point is 01:06:08 running on balancing the budget, Republicans getting into office, absolutely destroying the economy with their insane tax policies, Democrats coming in and trying their best to clean up the mess Republicans left behind. and Republicans blaming the mess they made on Democrat. Policies, rinse and repeat. The truth is, it would be possible to do both,
Starting point is 01:06:26 but we would have to be, we'd have to completely restructure our economy and probably take a page out of Norway's book and rely more on our natural resources to make a steady income off of, and the fact the matter is that most Americans aren't willing to do that for some reason. I can tell you what the reason is.
Starting point is 01:06:41 It's, um, sovereign wealth funds that I think are seen as like communist slash socialist. Which is insane. Yeah. It also doesn't help that we don't have many leftist voices that are actually working to make any real or meaningful changes. Our most popular leftist commentator is Hassan Piker, who's a millionaire Nepo Baby who works for Jeff Bezos and hung out at Diddy Parties in his 20s. That's not a joke, by the way.
Starting point is 01:07:06 The majority of our leftist commentators spent their time attacking liberals who are unfortunately the ones who are actually willing to put in work. Never forget that the only reason Mamdani won his mayoral election is because liberals, unanimously rejected Cuomo and decided to support Mamdani, who's ironically proving leftists like Hassan wrong. In that systematic and local change can work and do make situations better, meanwhile, Hassan is busy having a dick-measering contest with streamers like destiny. I hope that one day liberals, progressives and leftists will be able to work together to take down our current fascist regime, but I dream. P.S. the entirety of the West Coast, including my home state of Utah, is currently burning to the ground, but please do not pray for us.
Starting point is 01:07:48 or send us your thoughts, as this may be our only opportunity to start a new Bebe. Bebe. Yeah, that's the thing about the UK too, where it's like if you combine the votes of the Greens, the Lib Dems, and Labor, it's a bigger voting bloc than the Tories, but the rights just better at kind of pointing in the same direction,
Starting point is 01:08:11 which is unfortunate. I think it kind of, it kind of, kind of feels like the natural order of things is for people to be conservative like that in this country anyway well it's like the status quo right so then when the status quo is as such that it's like so far right then people don't want to vote right just to be less right than the furthest right yeah
Starting point is 01:08:56 what's all like single issue voting and yeah this kind of thing whereas I'm more I think I'm more like holistic
Starting point is 01:09:04 or that kind of stuff like I've never fully agreed with a manifesto that I voted for or I don't know yeah I guess
Starting point is 01:09:13 what I mean to say is I guess people further to the left than the Labor Party might see not much difference between labor and conservative. You know, you're not actually going to get meaningful change. You know?
Starting point is 01:09:33 I don't know. I'm just a dumb ass. Yeah, me too. Yeah, but I do stand by the... I feel like 90% maybe of political conversation does turn into... charged words that have like baggage that people bring with it. So then it just becomes about like definitions of things
Starting point is 01:10:00 instead of like actually talking about something. Yeah. Um, I just think the, the crazy thing to me is that like, most of the time the conversation is, the person on the left is like, I think we should have more equality.
Starting point is 01:10:23 and equity. And then the right... Like less children starving or more social safety nets. Yeah. Yeah. Let's try and reduce poverty. And then the right is like,
Starting point is 01:10:35 who's the weakest group that we can genocide? Like, that's the dichotomy we're in, you know? Um, and like the Labour Party is a part of that right wing. You know? That's... Um, that's where I think you get the...
Starting point is 01:10:53 the issues. I got one more. Nice. I was a bit behind, so I recently heard you guys shitting on the US for sports and caring about soccer only during the World Cup. I know you'll flame me for saying soccer, but calling it football here feels weird because of American football. Well, funny, because there is a subset of people here who genuinely believe that soccer is a pussy European sport when nothing happens, mostly boomer conservatives who will gladly sit through a two-zero baseball game in July. I'll stand up for the US on this one
Starting point is 01:11:25 Soccer is on the rise in popularity here due to the younger generations of immigrant families are going up. I went to MLS Cup in 2018 and that stadium had 73,000 people there and it was loud as fuck. You'd be surprised at how many bars here open early on the weekends
Starting point is 01:11:39 to have Premier League watch parties watching the World Cup. Out with people this year has been a blast despite Trump meddling in affairs so an American who was suspended for a game could play against Belgium. They still lost. Now come to think about it,
Starting point is 01:11:52 the World Cup is the most happy I felt being an American in a long time because I feel like it brought the country together, even people who are on different sides politically. Even my conservative dab watched every US game and was excited for it. It's been such a long time since I felt that kind of universal camaraderie here. It's over for the US now and I'm really bummed, but it's not, but I'm not surprised. Also, fuck you baseball is amazing. Big hit ball far. Sorry, fucking out.
Starting point is 01:12:19 bat hits ball far and my uga-boogga brain gets tingly um that's fair i was playing um baseball on the we the other day i mean i've been to two baseball games well you've got that um your favorite top is a baseball jersey right absolutely absolutely absolutely yeah i guess oh i guess by the time this goes up we could be out or in Polymarket reckons we're going to win against Norway Really? And um We have to go against the blonde beast Yeah he's cool
Starting point is 01:12:57 Harland Yeah Yeah crazy guy He's just taking over memes at the moment He's a crazy monster man If we still did meme chat He would definitely be in there Yeah he would
Starting point is 01:13:08 He's a frightening monster man Yeah Like a Viking He is exactly what I'd imagine a Viking To be Mm-hmm Yeah But
Starting point is 01:13:21 Except Not at all I'm Homer Simpson And I've got a gun Does Homer actually have a gun He does in that one episode I don't remember that one He gets a gun in an episode
Starting point is 01:13:35 Is it like a huge Like pistol or something Yeah it's like a gun And then he invites like the NRA over And they're like Dude you got to stop using your gun like that Homer A gun episode
Starting point is 01:13:48 Yeah he gets like a gun like a handgun. I'm a potty's a gun. Oh yeah. That's awesome. Oh yeah, there's some funny shit in that episode actually now I'm thinking about it. And then I want to say Marge takes it and then she feels weird about how good it makes it feel. I like the peep show gun episode.
Starting point is 01:14:08 That one's funny. Oh, with the, the pheasant or whatever. Well, they just have that gun and they just keep like, it's my turn with the gun. Oh, right. I was thinking of when they go like bird hunting. No, no. So that's the episode. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:25 Leave it rolling for just a bit. Let them see what happens after the camera stops rolling for but a moment. Okay. Do your best, um, so, the like, this is your audition for the next Christopher Nolan film. Not the Odyssey. Not the Odyssey, but I want to be in the Odyssey part too. No, okay, no, you can be in the Odyssey part two.
Starting point is 01:15:09 The Elliot. Yeah, yeah. You can be home. recast homer and it's you okay and sorry the bucket's cold yeah I hadn't submerged you yeah yeah yeah yeah maybe I only need one foot

Starting point is 01:15:46 who's Ludwig oh okay um I tried to keep it in Nolan you're hired That's the Odyssey part two Yeah Yeah it's really
Starting point is 01:16:12 fucking like avant garde I can't actually keep my foot in this. It's too cold. You serious? Don't try buckets because mine's already too warm. No, it's not. I told you, I'm, which one was I? Iser or Flamer?
Starting point is 01:16:26 I told you, I'm Iser. I'm Icic, I love, like, the ice baths. Whereas your, your Flamer. I've always been a bit of a Flamer. You can't say that. Doesn't mean the same thing in the... Is that how the Flamer laughs? It's not the Flamer, it's Flamer.
Starting point is 01:16:44 The Flamers is like his sidekick. the flame or the flamer flamer and the flame that's fucking cool actually he can have a psychic it kind of works yeah let's go let's go fucking hell this is this is crazy that we have to we've been brought to this this solution yeah yeah when we were kids we weren't told this is what the bucket list man true you know never thought I'd be in the bucket this this young Um, well, this is the Jile Patreon segment for July 26. So if it's heads, then I go first. If it's tails, you go first.
