Again, friends, and you are.
We're friends and welcome back to another edition of Jim Cornett's drive-through right here in another fine day.
We've got a big review and so much more.
I'm your host of the great Brian last, but here he is the star of the show, Mr. Jim Cornett.
That organ solo, Brian, sounded like a man clawing desperately at the edge of a cliff.
Today, there wasn't even any...
You just went into...
It was like this, what do the kids call it, the speed metal version of your normal theme,
where you just, where are you just all over the place there as I pounded on the,
I beg the different.
That's actually the normal theme.
What I've been playing for an extended period of time is the extended open to the theme.
You don't, you don't remember, but that is the theme.
I've been playing a part of the overture to the theme, and you've gotten so used to it.
The overture to the theme of the theme of it.
used to it that you can't accept that uh or you don't know what uh welcome to the show yeah yeah
you you ought to know i've gotten used to it like that the people that were the victims of the
chinese water torture got used to the constant dripping after a day or three
that's the name of the new album chinese water torch on octanian vanguard record is and tapes
Stay tuned.
Available at a special limited edition in a bucket
so you can carry your own water.
Ladies gentlemen, we are here today
on the drive-thru,
which is your program, Brian Lass,
but I just want to, I want to make an announcement
that I'm proud of my boys, Brian,
I'm proud of my boy, my boys, buddy and Alfred.
I'm proud they're growing up,
they're getting to be big boys.
They are calming down.
Now, they're getting their tufer's in.
They're getting all, they're not chewing as constantly as they were,
and they've quit chewing most of the bad stuff.
But they're getting bigger.
I told you that they got their official weigh-in coming up in a day or two,
once a month weigh in.
But last month they were at 10 and 12 pounds,
and I'm here to tell you that just a few days ago, Brian,
I'll have you know
at a 24-hour period
we picked up 11 poops
from the two of them.
That's got to be, I'm so proud of these young men.
They're just, they're proud because they're solid.
It sounds like it was solid poop.
That's why you're proud.
Oh, yes, yes.
And it's massive.
You ought to see the poop.
They're poop, poop, poop, poop, pooping machines.
Watch them poop now.
Watch them poop now.
They just, I'm saying they're getting
big and they're pooping and they're
frolicking and they're
just I'm just so proud
I'm just so proud of
would would
would your kids
first began producing record amounts
of poop? Certainly
that was caused for celebration
doesn't Hallmark do cards for that?
I don't know about that but
I know Swami makes a wet one
on the rug Suzanne gets pretty pissed
at Swami.
Well no well these are
solid ones and they're also they're going
on their appropriate pads
that have been strategically placed.
Mats, I don't know, you might call them,
whatever the case they are, but they're
just, they're just
my boys, they're growing up. I remember
it just seemed like it was yesterday when it
was just a little bit of poop and now
there's a big poopie.
I'm sorry, I'm a proud
father, what can I say? Here, let me take
my wallet out and show you some pictures
of my boys. That won't be the
only poopie on the show here today,
ladies and gentlemen. There'll be lots more
poopy to talk about here.
And I'll tell you what, let me, before we get into more serious matters, let me just say that
I'll get this out of the way right now.
The sale, the holiday sale at Jimcornet.com is probably ongoing as you hear this.
Saturday, October 3rd at noon eastern.
Is anybody going to hear this beforehand, Mr. Last?
You keep track of these release dates.
Saturday seems like a fair day.
A fair, a fair show.
shot.
So the sale is going on right now at noon or back at noon or whenever noon was.
But go there now and we've talked about these photo portfolios may be the first.
I don't care if they sell out in 15 minutes.
They may be the first and last.
We didn't have any problem with the pictures, but we're still having problems with these
folios to put them in.
I mentioned a few weeks back that we have.
had they would have taken three months from China if we got all the same so we're going to
one kind for the Memphis wrestling legends and one kind for the great wrestling champions
and then when they arrived the pocket for the insert of the cover which Hotchkiss had
carefully laid out and all got all ready and everything was completely different size
and we've got to redo all of that
and it's almost impossible not to get photos printed,
but to get the things to put the photos in.
So I'm trying to make my life simpler.
Buy these things while you can,
because there may not be no more.
It's driving me out of my mind.
I'm a raw nerve in, but otherwise,
wonderful things going on,
sale prices, the classic wrestling photos,
of one of a kind things from the vault,
the final Bobby Eaton autographs.
We got it all, folks,
at Jimcoranet.com for the Cornett's collectibles
holiday sale.
And if anybody out there owns a manufacturing plant
of albums that can put fucking 8 by 10 pictures in them,
let me know.
I may get you a discount on one of these sets
and give you a bunch of business.
Jim Cornett.com.
That's right.
Get the business.
Jim cornet.com.
Yeah.
Give me the business on these things.
That's what I've been getting for three months over these fucking things.
Try to make everything nice for the people.
Jim, I'd like to mention something here at the top of the show.
I want to send that a thank you.
You passed this along to me, but one of the listeners, Simon Alexander,
in Hillsborough, Northern Ireland,
sent me one of the coolest things I've seen in a while,
and I'm really appreciative.
it is, I don't even know how to describe this,
it's like a cassette tape it looks like.
You open it up, it's a portable electronic game
from 1982 in Japan,
a Japanese wrestling video game,
and then there's a separate part
that you could open up
and it creates a little board game
and there are little pieces for a Japanese wrestling board game.
And he wrote something I really liked here.
Between your interest in Japanese wrestling history,
obscure collectibles,
and random corners of wrestling culture.
It seemed like the sort of thing
you might appreciate,
and oh boy, do I.
This is one of the coolest things.
Thank you so much.
So thank you, Simon Alexander.
It's very much appreciated.
Thank you.
Boy, howdy.
And Simon, by the way,
is the wonder,
where does he get these crazy toys?
He sent me,
that I mentioned on the program a while back,
some of the classic wrestling books
that were published in England,
but from the old days,
and he just finds great stuff.
And Simon, we thank you.
We are glad you are listening and sending us valuable things in the mail.
Yeah, very much appreciate it.
Thank you, Simon.
But Jim, here at the start of the show, let's talk about something a little serious,
and we'll have more fun a little bit later on.
But unfortunately, over the last couple of days,
everyone's kind of been reeling after the news that AEW-Star Pack
of the Death Riders,
he was of the Death Triangle,
wrestled as Neville in WWE,
and of course has been PAC
before and after WW
passed away.
AEW
put out this information
Sunday on Twitter
or on all their social media
and it was stunning.
I think a lot of people
the first reaction they had was
the AEW account hacked.
It didn't seem possible.
He had just been wrestling
less than a day earlier
in the opening
match on the pay-per-view and he participated in the main event, it seemed, it just, it kind of hit
everyone a little hard, let alone his coworkers and his friends and his longtime fans, but it just
seemed out of nowhere and a little more information, but not very much has come out over the last day
about this. And why don't we talk a little bit about PAC and what's going on here? Because we've
heard from a lot of listeners who did want to hear what you had to say, recognizing that, you know,
you're not familiar with the ins and outs of his entire career, but you know who he is and you've
been watching him for a while. Well, and that's the thing. Like you said, when I turned on
Twitter the following morning after the news had come out, I guess what was it? Monday morning.
So it was just 24 hours ago as we sit here. I thought I'd misreferred.
read the headline at first.
And then I said, wait, what?
And there was obviously at that point, there was no more information than that.
So everybody was, not only was it a shock, period, but it was shocking that we had all
seen him 24 hours earlier.
And here's the thing, I never met the guy.
I've been complimentary in some things and I've been negative in some things, related
to his work, but the guy was 40 years old.
And so obviously that always in wrestling now,
after all the things that have gone on,
leads to everybody to jump to conclusions or speculate or whatever.
We're not going to do that here,
and I don't think anybody ought to do that.
Nobody has, he has never had the reputation as being, you know,
a rock star.
in terms of the wildlife.
He never gets in trouble that you hear about.
At least I haven't.
So he was in a, from what we now have been told in his car or rental car, wherever,
in the parking lot of a restaurant the following day after the pay-per-view on Sunday
when people called, you know, ambulance or whatever,
because he was unresponsive in his car.
otherwise than that as far as a causation nobody has
has said anything publicly yet
but we don't have any reason to believe that it was
you know they say what did what was the terminology there's no reason to
believe there's foul play involved was the statement
from the cops on the scene and
no sign of anything like that.
It's not like he had any wounds or anything.
So that's the thing.
We don't know anything.
And, you know, AEW, when they put out their statement,
obviously they did not list a cause or anything,
which made people wonder what was going on.
And then this came out the next day that, you know,
they found him in the car and that, I guess,
patrons of the restaurant had noticed him,
but he hadn't actually gone into the restaurant at any point.
People do die young and by no fault of their own or anyone else's.
What do they call it?
Death by misadventure in some fashion or whatever.
So, you know, it's just the problem is now that with the track record of the wrestling business
and the, you know, high-profile shit that's gone on,
everybody thinks the worst about everybody if they die before they're six,
and that may even be pushing it.
So we don't know what to say,
but the physical demands of the business,
did he have a family history
of any type of heart disease
or health problem of any kind?
There is, you know, the guys are not
on the ship they used to be on,
but many of them are on all new shit.
But it's not like,
like he was out, you know, goddamn
trying to score heroin
in the fucking neighborhood.
So,
who knows?
Yeah, I mean, that's the thing. We don't know. I, you know,
don't know if any autopsy will
be made public. I don't know how any of that works,
but, you know, obviously it's set off a wave of emotion
amongst fans, and you saw a lot of the wrestlers react.
There were other wrestlers who were working shows.
Lance Archer, I saw footage of him in the ring.
I saw Marina Shafir, who was just with Pat the night before.
Anna J was apparently on a live stream when she got the news,
and it stunned everyone.
This comes on the heels of the passing of the butcher,
who obviously made a big impact on the lives of the people
who worked with in AEW.
You know, that's the sad thing.
The fact that, I mean, there's lots of sad things here,
but, you know, this is happening to a bunch of people
who are mourning one of their friends and coworkers.
and the stunning news.
And WWE paid tribute too on Raw.
They had an opening.
Yes, they did the graphic at the top.
And, you know, and apparently, again, like I said,
I never met him, but everybody that was working with him just loved him.
So he apparently was a nice guy,
and that's why I say you never heard about any problems or issues or, you know,
whatever like that.
Everybody loved the guy.
but things can happen at any point.
And especially whether, I mean, yes,
one would think in his time he has probably taken supplements
to support that physique.
But at the same time also, you can have a family history of shit
that you, or shit you don't know about,
that can affect you at the most inopportune times,
even if you're a professional athlete.
And I don't, I can't see how that they would withhold because so many people are interested
and everybody wants to know what happened that they would withhold the cause of death
when they find it out if there was not either some crime or some, you know, whatever.
If he just, if he had a stroke or aneurism or fucking heart attack or whatever,
there's it's not like that's really an embarrassing thing it's you know so i i think they will
find something you know but it things get candido remember of all the things the poor chris
candido did he had straightened up and it was a medical misadventure well again you know we
keep having the circle back to we just we just don't know and you know i think it's only fair for us to
try to discuss this without throwing anything at it.
I think there are some people just don't want any discussion about anything at all,
but, you know, this is...
Here's another thing as you think about it, the fucking head trauma
in wrestling today compared to
even 20 years ago, much less 40 years ago, has to be off the charts.
And or if these guys are doing this shit,
even though they don't do it as often, it's much more...
impactful to be flying through shit out of balconies onto furniture.
Everybody has got to be in some type of pain.
And if they say that everybody's cleaned up in the business these days from the pain pills,
but are they, we've heard some of them are doing the gas station remedies or whatever.
and you just you never know what damage this shit is doing to people's bodies.
It was manageable and controllable in days gone by.
But those days have gone by.
Well, again, there's a lot of genuine concerns we could have for this generation of wrestlers.
When it comes to PAC, we simply just don't know anything right now.
We will stay on top of this and talk about, I guess,
whatever comes out. It's a weird way to put it, but again, our sympathies to the friends, the
co-workers, the fans of PAC, I know Tony Khan had a very emotional speech before the Ring of Honor
taping. It's very sad. It's just the timing of it, too, is just, it's all very, very sad and
a bit surreal just because, you know, it's happened a few other times. It was a generation before that
where you would see a wrestler
and the next day they were gone.
I mean, he was on the pay-per-view the night before,
like less than 12 hours or whatever,
or 24 hours, I guess I should say.
Yeah.
It's just, it's...
And that's why it looks so weight, you know,
because I just watched it.
So, anyway,
but yes, we do send our sympathy out to everybody involved
because whether we knocked his wrestling matches or not,
you know,
this is something that obviously is bigger than wrestling.
And,
you know,
I just,
I wonder what kind of,
and I'm not trying to go off on a different topic here,
but the guys need to take care of themselves
and do their own medical testing.
If apparently,
do they have a routine they go through for AED,
or for any of the companies these days that I operated a goddamn wrestling promotion
and as long as somebody could pass the blood pressure and the you know
fucking athletic commission guys sticking his finger up their ass fine but now with
what these guys are being asked to do they need to they need to be checked out
stem to stern to see what's going on well we will see what
going on with that. But Jim, on that note, why don't we go to the review of AEW All-Out,
2026. Amen. All right. I didn't have it today. I apologize, ladies and gentlemen. Today,
we are here. When you didn't have it, today is when, first time ever you didn't have it.
What are you trying to say? Just spitting out words. All right. Well, let's talk about
spitting out wrestling, which AEW did once again from Chicago, or at least the
suburbs of Chicago, AEW all out, another sellout crowd for AEW, or a sellout crowd, I don't
about another, but a sellout crowd for AW all out in Chicago, WWE running against it with
AAA. We'll talk about that maybe a little later, but let's talk about this big pay-per-view,
obviously a few moments a lot of people have been waiting to hear what you thought of.
Well, and first off, they just narrowly missed the big milestone controversy.
confrontation. How do you phrase that? We went back and forth on that. The contest to see if two
different promotions can both draw 10,000 people in the same city on the same night or more.
It was a topic of conversation a few weeks ago. It's only happened a handful of times in history.
Philadelphia for Crockett and the WWF, Mexico,
during the attitude era once with WCW and WWE, whatever the fuck.
But they came just short.
9500 is what I heard that AEW got.
So almost, almost, but on the other hand,
WWE got what, 14,000 for CM Punk and some Lucha Dore.
So all out countered that by giving us 17 garbage matches, 142 wrestlers, and a five-hour show.
So let's get started.
Let's get started.
I'm going to reveal to you here, not that it's a reveal, but I'll tell you, I did not get to see the pre-show matches because I bought it through Amazon.
And it said, you know, tune in at 7 p.m. click here or watch live.
And it was their other pre-show where Renee and Jeff Chiron and Mick Foley and.
was it RJ City?
I think RJ City,
they're hanging out in the rafters,
you know, just talking about the show.
Yeah, somewhere in the,
in the upper part of the arena
where you can hear the wrestlers' music playing
and you can hear,
there's things going on
that we don't know, as Ronnie Van Zant once said.
And that's the same thing.
I told you my pay-per-view channel is back
on real television, on my cable box,
where I have fast forward and rewind
and can function easily and see what's going on.
So I was able to actually watch this thing more closely this time,
but I got the same thing.
So if you got it on Amazon, I got it on pay-per-view television,
who saw the goddamn pre-show tailgate brawl gimmick?
Yeah, I don't know.
And again, a bigger question would be,
and this isn't the first time we've noticed this,
why would you produce two pre-shows at the same time?
Why not one pre-show to get people amped up for the show?
What's if the other one, and their argument in the past has been that the overruns
from the pre-show into the main show have helped the pay-per-views?
They didn't really do it here, but they've had that argument, they think the matches help.
Why would you do this, where it's just these people talking while you hear the crowd
pop behind them and you have no idea what's happening?
And if you, if, I just thought if,
that was the case and you were watching it where you get the
Renee Good at all pre-show, then when they go to the main show,
it just busts into the goddamn match, which is
all righty.
But anyway, so they did, I have the results of the pre-show.
Apparently, Jungle Jack beat Shepoopy.
Oh, wow, big win.
Big win there.
And Julia Hart and Blue Sky beat Mina,
Melons and Queen Yayaata.
People, we don't see them anymore.
Oh, wow, big win.
Big win. And then they had a tornado tailgate brawl match.
So they basically had a comedy garbage match before the main show where they then had a
girl's garbage match and then a guy's garbage match.
So they want to make sure that everybody saw plenty of foolishness before the actual show
that they had to pay for
where the higher priced,
more significant talent did the same goddamn thing.
Who won?
And that was,
Jay White, Ace Austin,
and the gun boys beat Danny Garcia,
useless, Finley, and Connors.
And with footballs and
football helmets and
tailgates of some description.
That's a big win.
Yeah, I get. I mean, were they outside
of football stadium? I know football was the
next day, what's the whole tailgate thing for this?
Well, they, apparently they rode in to the show on the back of a pickup truck.
That's how they were able to get there because the limos didn't show up.
Anyway, but that was the pre-show, but now we get down to Serious business.
I'm telling you, serious is not a word I would use for some of this, most of this,
but the first match, and let's go ahead and talk about this,
and obviously we've mentioned the situation with PAC.
He was in the first match,
and I don't even feel bad about the criticisms I was going to give for this match,
given the circumstances I can give them anyway,
because they were all on Andre.
As I went through my notes and I said,
you know, I'm not going to criticize PAC for anything he did.
did because the only thing that, as I said before that, I say he seemed, he wasn't the whirlwind
of action he normally is. This didn't come together this match, but a lot of it was demonstrably
Andre, the pack had nothing to do with. So I didn't know, but he could have been feeling off,
sluggish, whatever the fuck is going on, right? But we're not going to criticize any of his shit.
and the only thing I was going to criticize was that
he had to stand there a couple times
while dipshit with the rotten timing
took his sweet-ass time to get to do something.
But with the entrances,
do they put out a casting call for ugly women
that they then have to turn,
there's better-looking women in the fucking seats?
And they then have to turn around
and pay these horse-faced,
women to fucking be there when they don't care and they would have never been there to begin
with, just put somebody on the door and pick three out to come through and they'll be thrilled
and they'll act like they know what's going on. Am I lying? When those three models that Andrade
made his entrance with, when they came out, did you say, God damn, when they walk into the bank,
they turn the cameras off? I have had that reaction several times when Andre's come out on a
pay-per-view with women. I think at least two other times I could think of. I don't understand.
We just heard that interview he did on the Latin lover podcast where he was like, you know, that's
my gimmick. I love women and I smile and I dance and I kiss the referee, whatever he said.
Is the gimmick that he's a ladies man or that like he doesn't discriminate? Like all ladies,
no matter what they look. Beauty is only skin deep with Andromeda. But ugly is to the bone.
Oh, very good, very good, Mr. Ruffin.
I've had this reaction, too, with the girls at Rinside.
Hunter Hurst-Helmsley had a model on his arm every night.
Andrade's gimmick is that the women want him,
and they always find just not, like, no tens, no nines, no eights,
maybe a seven.
So I don't understand.
They're in Chicago.
Is that the gimmick though?
For Chicago, this was a fucking three and a four
at a five maybe.
But my question is if they've done this now
on several occasions and the women who are planted
at ringside to do the selfie thing,
typically, again, I'm sure at the end of the night
at the bar, a lot of people would be more than happy.
But why here?
Why not?
If you're going to do it, and it's clear that you're getting a plant,
why wouldn't you hire the best-looking women you could find?
and and don't have been
unless the gimmick is he likes ugly women
and now before anybody says we're being sexist
or misogynistic this is the
it's Hollywood this is the idea
they are casting people based on their looks
to put on television
and that is what we are critiquing
they don't have speaking parts
they're not dancing they don't have to have any other talent
and again
it's ironic
that what and that same thing
when Hurd started in WCW
Jim Hurd started
oh let's get the models
and a blah blah blah and have it
have 12 models lined up
for Flair's entrance
the boys would be fucking snort laughing
when they would show up obviously
didn't know who the fuck anybody was
and you could tell they didn't want to be there
they're just doing their catwalk thing
and all the guys are saying my God
Flair had 10 women at the bar last night that were twice as better looking at these that would
have goddamn loved, and they wouldn't have had to get paid.
But it would have looked right.
It would have been a better television moment, presentation, whatever the fuck.
I remember Bash 89 when he had the purple robe on and he comes out and he has women on the left
and on the right and he kind of puts his arms out, they grab it, they walk down together.
And he gives a big, as he's walking down, woo!
And you could see one of the models turned to the other girl like,
she's never heard it before.
She's like, this guy just said, woo.
You could see it.
But yeah, that's Andrade.
And I will say, I was right.
I told you when we did the preview of the pay-per-view
that I thought it would be just shortly after halfway through the match.
I've noted the time.
Where is my notation here?
That he would find the woman at Riggsite and he would also take off his pants.
And they did it in reverse order this time because the woman was not just a plant,
but it was a gimmick.
It was part of the match.
It was a spot.
Yeah, but it was 13 minutes is when he went for the selfie.
And how long was the match?
Just under 20.
See?
But we're getting ahead of ourselves.
Why wouldn't you do that in the first two minutes of the match?
Like that's another thing I don't understand.
Why are you doing that in the middle or towards the end of the match?
Well, because they're brilliant.
The spot wouldn't have worked two minutes in because, well, we're getting ahead.
We're going to spoil the surprises for all the people.
but the first spot again is i'm trying to figure this fucking guy out Andre
they circle they feel each other out
and then pack hit a german suplex
and Andre didn't sell it he just popped up and ran and hit the spinning back elbow
kind of that thing you can't ever tell whether anybody hits it or not
or what the fuck they're really doing until the announcer calls it oh that's what it was
I always find myself looking at the other hand as he's getting him with the other arm.
Well, and you should because there's not a lot of contact ever being made on these things,
either that or it's a potato, but when Andrade hit the move, they both fell down.
And then Andrade slowly put his arm over pack and got a two count.
I'm like, the time to sell was after he gave you a German suplex.
If I didn't, if you could pop up and do the spinning L.
that you're okay.
But then seconds later,
they were going 100 miles an hour.
And then they gave a big boot to each other
and they sold forever.
So I don't,
there was, to me, question my mind
who the heel was because
is it packed the guy in the heel group
or is it this fucking cocky fucker
that comes out with all these fucking paid hoers
with him. I don't see how that's making him a baby face.
Well, he's aligned with Osprey. That makes him a baby face.
Well, do something. Work that way.
Here's it. Okay. There was the spot where Andrade, the baby face, right,
offers his hand to shake and pack doesn't trust him. And, but Andre said,
please shake my hand. And finally,
Pax shakes his head and Pack kicks him in the fucking gut.
So the baby face is stupid.
They reverse this.
The heel is spoken, no, please, amigo, shake hands with me.
And the baby face doesn't trust him.
And the goddamn, people are going, no, no, no, don't shake his head.
And then maybe if the baby face does shake his hand, then either the heel kicks him
or the heel tries to kick him and he catches the boot and he kicks.
Holy Christ.
So they just, they finally Schaefer interfered and they got some heat on Andrade, but
like I said, this didn't come together.
This was not a quick-paced match, and I'm not going to blame Pack for any part of that.
But there was a long fight on the floor where nobody in the front row.
You could see they weren't mad, they weren't excited.
they weren't scared.
There's,
these two large men are having a fucking alleged fight a foot away from you.
And there's women that are not even like backing up or ducking.
Like,
they could get accidentally hit by somebody drawing back,
but then they'd be able to sue.
So they don't,
but just,
it's like watching a riot in the fucking street where there's a bunch of people
standing on a sidewalk,
not even moving for the tear gas.
Do you see what I'm saying?
I don't,
they're taking pictures, they're staring,
they're mugging for the TV cameras,
they're laughing,
but nobody's ducking out of the way.
Do you notice what I'm saying,
or is it just,
because nobody ever ducks out of the way anymore
that it's not as shocking?
Well, I think this is part of the death of KFA,
but specific to an AEW audience,
they're there to see the show.
And that's what they treat it as,
a show, for them,
they're not afraid of getting hit by a wrestler
or anything else.
and and it happens even accidentally.
A ladder almost hits someone in the audience later on the show.
Yes.
Yes, the ladder went over the railing into front row, you know, but, but no,
they're, they're so convinced that it's so completely fake that there's not even a chance
of accidental injury.
Let me just get out of the way of these fuckers.
They're not even doing that.
So the biggest response from the fans came when Andre T's taking his pants off,
but that got shut down the first.
time. And then finally, he clotheslined pack over the top rope, and he pulled his pants down and
got a big pop, and then they got stuck around his ankles, and he couldn't get them loose.
And the announcers even had to joke about it. Show you some Velcro or what about
some tearaway pants? He looked like an idiot. What the, this is the late? This is the late. This is the
ladies man he can't get his,
he can't take his pants off.
And then he walked around and...
That's actually funny.
The idea of a ladies man
every time he can't get his pants off.
But then he walked around the ring
like he'd done something and again,
there was poor pack on the floor standing there
and he's watching him.
And then suddenly Andrade runs to the turnbuckles
and jumps off of him and over the top rope
and dove on pack who had to stand there
looking at this fucking guy.
And then at 13 minutes he went for the selfie.
but Schaefer came from behind the girl that he was taking a selfie with and choked her out
so we're we're now supposed to believe that one of the valets or seconds or whatever the
purpose she serves can just come around behind the fans and choke them out for taking
selfies with the wrestlers is that what we're being led to believe here
we're the best wrestle and attack the fans that's right
Well, the best wrestle the fans.
And the fans, shit, they don't even know they're coming.
They sneak up behind them.
So then Pack hit Andrade from behind.
And then he was supposed to go to the top and back flip off of him.
And And Andre, I swear to him, just stood there with his hand on his head and stood in one place and waited for him to climb up and jump off.
He couldn't even, like, be sell it or what I.
And we were at about 15 minutes.
there, so I fast forward at a couple minutes.
And finally,
Andrade went to give PAC
some kind of move. He had him hooked
and Marina Schaefer
got up on the apron.
And at that point,
Andre lets go of the guy that he's fighting
points
to his cheek, looks at the fans
like, dare I
ask that she might want to give me
a kiss on the cheek?
and he walks over and he wants a kiss on the fucking cheek
from the girl that's seconding the guy that he's fighting
that he just let go.
And of course,
she just choked out the girl at Riggs side,
so obviously it's a good idea to go get a kiss from her.
Well,
because I guess she was jealous of the girl.
She wanted to be there.
But he wants a kid.
He doesn't even want a fucking kiss like ant eaters,
stick my tongue down your throat.
He wants a kiss a peck on the cheek.
And of course,
as soon as he sticks his cheek over there
and she's there, then Pack jumped up
and gave him a reverse
Hurricane Rana and Marina Schaefer
flipped the fans off. It was all a trick.
So again, this is the stupidest baby face
and has ever walked to face the planet.
He gets suckered into fucking
gut kicks on his own
offer of a handshake.
He narrowly avoids losing a match
because he wants a kiss on a cheek
from this bitch that just choked
all right so then pack gave andre a fucking clothesline Bradshaw Hansen would have been proud
and then got his cross face finish and Andre just rolled him backwards one two three
and what the ever this reverse hurricane rana it looked like it killed him and his clothesline
knocked him out of his boots and he's got his finish
locked on and the guy just rolls him backwards one two three
I thought what is their fascination
with trying to make something out of these people
that are not going to be something I mean it was an extreme case
with pockets we still have to endure that but he
for years you couldn't get away from him
but they want desperately decide
okay Andrade, he's, let's give him a hat.
He'll have to fight the women off with a stick.
What the, and again, I don't understand the idea behind it.
You know, Andrade returns to AW, Tony sits down with him and says, all right, tell us all the
things you've wanted to do.
Well, I come out there with average-looking women.
And then in the middle of the match, I take off my pants.
Why are people popping for that, by the way?
but that's a whole other question.
And then I go up to a girl at rings out in the middle of the match,
while action is still happening, and I take a selfie.
Oh, and my catchphrase.
My catchphrase is not how you know.
What do you want to talk about or acknowledge me
or integrate to be alive in a certain name here on Monday night?
It's how you know.
I don't understand it all.
I'm fascinated by Andrade though,
just because it's all,
in a sense so stupid
but he seems really committed to it
and like his dreams in America
are finally coming true
with this gimmick.
I want to see where it's going to go.
I actually don't understand it at all.
It makes no sense.
So I want to see more.
Well, see, we got to see more.
Speaking of Seymour, that's what we did.
We saw a lot more.
Are you ready to get into the second match
of the evening?
because this one, again, I hope that young Stephen Borden is okay.
And I'm not even going to question his decision-making abilities in this thing.
I'm going to question the people that are goddamn producing him and overseeing him
in saying it was a good idea for you to go for this fucking spot.
But we'll get there in a minute.
but the match was Darby Allen and Stephen Borden
against Kyle Feltcher and Kevin Knight.
And I like Kevin Knight.
He's flashy and exuberant and athletic.
Lord knows how he's going to end up here
and the mercy of this fucking menagerie.
And Kyle came out, and again,
I know they've got an unlimited wardrobe budget now
because they've got an unlimited wardrobe budget now,
because they've got an unlimited.
limited budget. They could just all spend every penny that has ever been fucking minted.
But how much money do you think that he spent on that outfit to dress up looking like if the
Statue of Liberty was a proud gay man in his 20s? What is that, what is his gimmick?
He's cosplaying as Megan Bain. I don't know. What is the headdress? I don't know. It looks
really bad from the side because they shot him from the side coming out to. Usually we see it from the
front and it's like, okay, he has some sort of celebratory
tiara. I don't understand why, but from the side it was really
ridiculous. I don't think it's needed. I don't know why he would
have that. A cross-promotion with Honey Boo-boo?
But I understand she's grown up. Yeah. And out.
All right, so anyway, then here came Darby and Stephen.
And
I think actually, this was probably
as I reflected on it because they started with some heat between the two of them, Kyle and
Stephen.
But it almost was a shoot because I think they worked it out.
At least either that or, you know, Kyle was ad-libbing on his own and Stephen was just
caught by surprise, whatever.
But Steve, I can't keep calling him Stephen.
It sounds like he's in my class at fucking geography.
Steve entered the ring, went to the corner, turned Buckel,
stood up on it, yay for the fans, goes to the corner right past Kyle right next to him and gets up on
a corner. And back in the old days, up until about 15 or 20 years ago, you would, if the baby face
got in the ring and just walked right past the heel and turned his back on him, got up on the ropes,
that was disrespectful and the heel would get pissed. It's like, oh, what, I'm nothing. You can just
walk past me right to the front of all these people.
and it looked so when steve did that
Kyle reached over and jerked his goddamn leg off the ropes
and the people popped like ooh because it looked like he really was pissed
but I swear to God Stephen almost went over the top rope
it looked like it he did a good job of catching himself so if they worked that
spot kudos to you but elsewise
I think it looked like Stephen was a little surprised
nevertheless they started because Kyle demanded you I want you
and obviously they had worked out some spots that they thought
would be fairly simple and I'm not ragging on this kid and I've said
on the show we just did here not long ago he ought to be on OVW television
he ought to be in a church gym in front of 75 people he ought to
have experienced professionals who have legitimately drawn money at our talented professionals
that are training him and coached him instead of Darby Allen for fuck's sake,
just because Sting got to like the young lad when they were teaming.
I've mentioned that Sting's a great guy.
Sting was an icon.
Sting made a ton of money, wonderful success, was never a fan of the business or particularly
smart to the business.
not someone that you would have put in a talent scouting or talent training or talent
teaching psychology category.
And so I'm sure he was happy when Darby and these other guys made these,
well, we'll help train your son.
But it's too soon.
He's 30-something years old and he's just started trying to do this in the last year or
whatever, and he's had a handful of matches maybe that have flown under the radar,
and he's popped up here three times. So they start Kyle and Stephen, and the lockup,
okay, clean break by the heel on the ropes, but then Kyle swings, and the spot is block it and
nail me. And Steve blocked it, but when he tried to throw the punch back,
This is hard to explain.
You can't even really tell watching the video.
But as someone like Kyle who was standing there waiting to be,
there's a rhythm to this.
My punch got blocked.
I see him draw back.
I see the movement start.
Kyle started to sell based on when he thought the punch was coming.
And Stephen's punches, the announcers mentioned it.
Boy, he's really drawing way back on those.
He doesn't have the timing yet.
it's like a fucking it's the dance it's one two back fourth sis boom it was block instead of block punch
it was block punch there was a second there Kyle started selling where he thought the punch was
coming but it came from so far back then by the time that it got there Kyle had started into the cell
leaned back put his hand up and he fucking Steve missed him with first punch then the second one
was blocking punch and punch, and none of the punches were hitting Kyle,
but there were great drawbacks.
And then Kyle cut him off, went to the heel corner.
Simple spot.
We're going to get you in a corner, fight out.
There's a rhythm to that too.
Back elbow to the guy in the corner, punch to the guy in front of me,
back elbow to the guy in the corner, punched the guy in front of me,
and the guys in front of me is backing up,
and I'm going to punch him backwards again,
he's going to cut me off or whatever.
He could fight out of the corner.
He was flailing at everybody and it just,
it didn't work, right?
There was no rhythm there.
It's experience.
It's timing.
You can't just do it.
He's trying hard,
but he can jump tremendously athletic,
incredible spring in his legs.
That drop kick, great.
But applying the jumping,
and doing other things,
this is not somebody
that I would have felt good
about putting on OVW television
at this level
because I would want to be fair to him
and not have people see him yet.
Because you've got to the son of a fucking icon
and he looks like that.
Don't goddamn show him with his fucking pants down
and toilet paper stick it out of his ass
to the national audience before he's right.
God damn it.
Anyway, Steve, at that point, the heels rolled out to the floor and everybody slowed it down.
And then he does a nice arm drag.
He does a nice arm bar.
And he did it to Kevin Knight too.
And the leapfrog is great and a nice drop kick.
And then they got him out.
But that was, before we go any further, do you have any issue with the comments I'm making?
No, I agree with it, and again, you're breaking it down brilliantly,
but it's clear, I think, from the layman watching that, you know,
he's a little rougher around the edges than everyone else.
And you don't want everyone to be smooth, but it stood out, if you were watching,
that it seemed like he may have been, I don't want to say in over his head,
but these are really good guys.
Fletcher and Knight are really, really good.
That's why I was surprised they even had this match,
because it didn't seem like I would be a good fit for young,
Stephen Borden breaking into the business.
But see, actually, and
part of it is it's a good fit
for the available
people they have to work with.
I would put him in there with some
40-year-old guy that had been around for
20 years in a fucking flea market
match in the middle of nowhere and have him go
20 minutes and do that as often as
possible, and he would learn a bunch of shit.
But,
Kyle and Kevin, they're easy to work
with in terms of they're not too big
and they can if they slow down
and what they were trying to do here
which was basic stuff, block punch things
they figured that would work
and sometimes it didn't
or didn't sometimes it didn't
but then the thing when Darby and Kevin Knight got in
well then they have to do all their shit
that they think they're accomplished at
so they started into the parkor
and they did one fucking thing back and forth
there was two or three fucking
botches where oh shit where you go at all god damn it's the same thing they're just trying more
complicated shit but then they got the heat on derby and one of the just moves in the set of heat
was a power bomb of him on the steel stairs and yeah that got a two count and that's why says here's
again stephen boredon is in the worst place if he wants to learn anything about how to think about
to wrestling business he's in a match where a guy power bombs a 140 pound
guy on the stairs for a two count as a high spot.
Anyway, finally, Darby hit a hot tag and decently to Stephen, and he made a comeback.
It tackles, close lines, and drop kicks.
Nice, easy stuff, and he did it, okay, got a nice pop.
And he went for the Stinger Splash and cleared the top turnbuckle, but went over the
fucking top and to the floor on purpose.
And that was a great bump.
anything related to jumping where he's in, him jumping,
drop kicks, leap frogs, jumping over the top rope when there's nobody else involved.
He can just do that.
That's wonderful.
And then they all wiped each other out on the floor.
And, of course, Kevin Knight and Darby got back in the ring.
Steve was still the legal man, but they don't care.
And then Kevin Knight put.
Darby on the buckles upside down in the tree of woe and was going to go for the coast to coast
drop kick which again we'll discuss in a minute why people shouldn't be doing that either
but then when Stephen freed Darby now you got Kevin in one corner and Stephen in the opposite
core not the opposite but the far corner across and now they've climbed up the ropes
and there's where you've got the stale mate or whatever.
And as you said, then that spot is going to be they were going to jump off and do so.
Do you have any idea of what they were going to do in midair to each other?
I would assume it would be some version of the Rickettsay Logan Paul thing.
I don't know if it would be a third.
Remind me what that was because I could give a fuck because Rickashay was in it.
It's been a while.
I think that was the Royal Rumble.
I want to say it may have been a double close line, but it was.
then it was stupid
it's what you're saying
scheduling a midair collision doesn't seem like a great idea
okay and I know some people are going to say there was a famous
spot they've seen clips of it I can't remember who was in it
because again it's this shit that I don't give a fuck about because I think
everybody does it is stupid but somebody
was hanging from something in midair and somebody else did
a springboard off of something and they speared them in midair and they
went down a long way that was a
famous bump. But this, as I said was, Kevin Knight was going to do the Coast Coast drop kick on
Darby, but Stephen moved Darby, and then Stephen climbs up that buckle. And they jump off at each
other, but Steve had climbed up to where he put both feet on the top rope and was standing there.
And there was a little wobble, but he didn't look, you know, like it was rock solid, but he was up
there solidly.
He was there for a while, so the waddles...
He was there for a while.
Yeah, that's why I'm about to get to.
Kevin Knight had climbed up
where his bottom, his one foot was on the bottom rope,
the second foot was on the second rope.
He was in the middle of climbing, and he sees,
and Stephen climbs all the way up to the top.
What I'm saying is that
Stephen got up on a top rope with both feet too soon.
because now, and I think this was probably going through Kevin Knight's mind,
if Kevin Knight tried to climb up to the top rope to jump off with both feet,
he's going to shake the rope somewhat, which is going to not do anything for Stephen
Borden's balance.
Basically, if they were going at this, the ideal thing would they would have both had one foot
on the top rope and one foot on the second rope and they would have looked at each other.
And I even saw Stephen mouth the some kind of thing toward Kevin Knight like,
okay or let's go or are we going or Roger or Captain over, whatever the fuck, come in Berlin.
And then Stephen jumps from both from the top rope with both feet.
He's already in the air.
Kevin Knight takes off pushing one foot off the top rope now as best he can.
but Stephen got to the middle first, crossed the middle.
They kind of sort of touched each other in the,
you couldn't tell what they were trying to do to each other.
It almost looked like Steve was trying to catch Kevin
with a flying choke slam.
He had his hand out and kind of got him around the neck.
I don't fucking know.
But when they landed, Steve hit the back of his head
and knocked himself out.
not just goofy, but apparently
slab dab out because they didn't show him much after that,
but we'll get to that.
But the point is,
the coast-to-coast drop kick is stupid
because you are taking a major flatback bump
that also can be a bump if you don't do it right
on the back of your head, as this was.
but also remember it was Seth Rylans blew his shoulder when he tried to do the coast coast headbut
or whatever the head butt shoulder butt whatever the fuck that's an even worse idea as he found out
but when you're coming from that height and with that much velocity that it takes to get across the
ring that's not even like a backdrop or a superplex you're you're throwing yourself from a height and a high
of speed into a fucking jarring flat back bump at the best of situations.
With this thing where if they were going to double clothesline each other,
think about the physics of this.
Anytime a great wrestler has come off the top rope and done shit safely,
think of Bobby Eaton, that knee drop that nobody's ever been able to replicate,
he was going forward and he could,
roll with it.
The elbow drop.
He was taking a bigger fucking bump than the guy that was getting it, but the way he
landed, it looked devastating, but it was, it was protected and he was going, he was
controlling himself.
Nobody was disturbing his trajectory.
A splash.
You know where you're going.
You can see it.
You can control it.
But if you're that far in the air and your
coming forward at a fairly good rate of speed and somebody hits you or you just hit something,
George of the jungle into the wall, well, the wall actually would even be better because if you hit
a fucking wall, the wall isn't moving towards you.
So you're hitting something that's moving toward you.
It's going to reverse your trajectory.
You're not going to be in control of your movement anymore and you don't have your eye on where
your fucking landing because your movement has been changed and your trajectory's been altered.
And now if you're going forward and you get hit, you're going to go backwards.
Toward the back of your head down to the fucking mat, as Steve Borden did here.
I'm sorry I'm droning on, but goddamn, this is simple shit that anybody's been in a ring
for 15 minutes ought to be able to figure out.
I don't know why they can't.
Does it make sense to you, Brian?
It makes sense to me.
I think it makes sense to most people who saw this or just heard about it or saw the clip.
The clip went around right away.
It didn't seem like a needed spot.
It didn't seem like a necessary spot.
Again, this is, like you pointed out, not Sting working with Rick Flair in 88.
This is Sting arriving in Memphis not knowing how to work.
And putting him in a match like this to me,
did not seem wise.
Him working with FTR, him working with cope,
him working with guys he's worked with while training is one thing.
But I said it in the preview.
These are high-impact high flyers.
And putting a novice, putting a rookie in there with them just did not seem wise.
Now, no one could have predicted this,
and I brought it up several times,
Rick O'Shea and Logan Paul,
that spot got over big.
That spot was a big social media clip.
Maybe that's what they were hoping for.
Fortunately, that went right.
Nothing went wrong there.
But I don't know, it seems like there was a lot of...
Logan Paul is younger and a better athlete
and Steve Borden and Rickashay
was smaller, wirier, and more experienced
than goddamn Kevin Knight.
And they were also just happened,
to be lucky. Again, I know a lot of people are trying to find fault with it happening. People are
blaming Tony. People are blaming, you know, these guys are putting the match together. To me,
he just, he shouldn't have been in the match with these guys. These are not the guys to be working
with him. He needs to be working basic matches. Can he do the basics? Based on what we've seen
so far, you said it. He has a great drop kick. He gets great height on it, at least. Can he lock up
and go from there for a few minutes.
I don't know.
If it was simple, the arm drag and the arm bar was great.
It needs to be simpler stuff.
His striking is still very suspect.
This is just normal shit that a guy would go through
when he started training
and hadn't had a lot of experience in front of people
or just in normal repetition of work.
And I'm not, and I'll tell you what,
I saw Sting, senior,
when he'd been working for about two months,
and Stephen Borden, this one, the young one,
is tons better than he was.
Tons better.
I'm telling you.
I've told a story before.
The fucking Stinging Warrior,
when they were the blade runners or whichever the first gimmick was.
Freedom fighters.
I don't know what they were,
but they'd been in Memphis for like two weeks.
and I came home to visit and saw them against Lawler and Dundee.
This was December of 85.
And the locker room emptied on both sides of the Louisville Gardens in the back,
the back section.
It was always closed off so the boys could sit and watch shit.
I said, what in the world is going on?
They said, what do you see this?
Lawler and Dundee went to a 30-minute Broadway with him
because they were, Jared said, put these guys in the ring and go as long as you can,
every night and see if you can teach them anything.
And Jerry Lawler at Bill Dundee,
the two probably guys of all history
in the Memphis territory that could work with anybody,
they went 30 minutes,
they did everything they knew how to do three times
with these guys.
And it all looked different every time.
But the boys were horse laughing at them
because they'd love to see,
they didn't want to be in that predicament.
They, yeah, let the king and a superstar
work with these fucking guys.
But they weren't doing
anything that, and Sting and Warrior were
so fucking huge. They definitely
weren't doing anything to let them
kill Aller and Dundee.
But they weren't do anything dangerous
because they couldn't even do anything fucking
not dangerous.
It was a house show
in Louisville. It wasn't worldwide
television. And nobody
tried to do springboards off the top
rope.
well again we all knew that uh stephen boardin's okay he was stretched out but that was not shown on
camera later on tony shivani gave an update saying that he was in the hospital he was conscious
and he was discussing the match and that was kind of the last we heard i think there was a report
he had a cat scan and everything checked out okay it it sounds to me like uh from what the cat
scan and just from what they were saying that he was discussed the match and etc that it was obviously
a concussion. He knocked himself out. And the back of his head hit the mat at a high rate of
speed and he got a concussion. And I'm not minimizing that. I'm just saying he didn't appear to
break his legs or any horrible injury like that. He just, but that was it. And they rang the bell.
And one more thing before we go. And hold on to that question. Just the thing that pissed me off the
most about this is
not only did our friend's
sock face get all tongue-tied when
he's tasked
with the job of being
a professional broadcaster and
communicating something that's not
just goddamn frivolous
bullshit like he normally does
but he said
that's why I ended
my in-ring career
was injuries and you
motherfucker you had an in-ring
career on shows
you fucking promoted in a goddamn barn you were allowed to rent.
And he wears that mask and embarrasses the company on national television like any
motherfucker walking has ever heard of who the fuck he is.
And this guy's being carried out on a stretcher and he's got to remind everybody,
well, I was a wrestler, you know.
No, you weren't.
Not a real one.
And it wasn't a time to bring it up.
So I just another fuck you to this fucking glory hound they've got on lead commentary.
He said that right after Taz talked about it ending his career.
He was like, well, me too.
I was also a wrestler.
Yeah, yeah, he's next to Taz, who actually was a legitimate wrestler for major companies
and in-ring injury ended his career.
Oh, mother.
You know, whether it's something like this or whether it's a big title change.
You know, I've always said it.
Scalibor never captures the moment.
He doesn't say the right thing.
Sometimes where it's important, he says something.
he just can't spit out words.
And then Chivani sits there like a frump waiting to figure out what to do.
My question to you before, what should be learned from this?
And do you think anything will be learned from it in AEW?
Well, they did the same thing with David Flair, remember in WCW.
And then they tried him in the WWF and they sent him to OVW, but everybody.
And David was not a natural, nor was David the actual, nor was David the act.
athlete that Stephen Borden is, to be quite honest.
They always had a fine relationship with David.
I don't think he'd be surprised to hear me say that.
But it's never fair to the guy when a name that big and you get put on television.
And they did, well, they did the same thing to Mark Henry.
Remember?
Thankfully, his career recovered, but they put him on T.
And the first guy he worked with on pay-per-view was Jerry Lawler, who could work with any
fucking body.
and then he didn't have another match for a year and a half or whatever.
It's if they had announced, and again, I just wish this kid and people have said,
oh, well, he tried to play football and he was, you know, kind of here and he did this,
but yes, but unless he's had a 10-year career in football, he should have got into
wrestling business younger and he'd already be past these stages.
and his father would have been still in the business
where they get it could have even done a tag team thing
which would have drawn on a limited basis, not regularly,
big pay-per-view.
But at this point, with him starting at 30 whatever,
if I'd have been Tony, I would have, again,
I know they've been training him and whoever's been training him someplace
and he can do a great arm drag.
So, but I,
I would have tried to disguise in this internet age,
I would have tried to disguise who he was,
and even if they goddamn reported it,
they send him somewhere into Carolinas.
Like I said, FTR could have set up him on shows
into Carolinas every weekend that nobody knows ever even take place.
Bo James can book him in some places
that the people that live in those towns don't know the towns exist
and send somebody to work with him.
And don't let anybody videotape it or just the, you know,
Gladys from Cumberland Gap, Tennessee on her cell phone, big shit, right?
But try to keep the pressure off of him and just let him get experience and repetition.
And then on television,
come out and say, young Steve,
even Borden has decided he's going to try wrestling, he's been training,
we're going to keep you apprised of his progress.
Every once in a while show a training video or an update,
but don't beat it to death where people are really expecting it,
but let him know that it's an ongoing thing.
And then as you're ready to put him on television,
then start two or three weeks in a row of the videos,
and then give him the modern equivalent of George South,
a fucking guy that can just call it and work and do whatever
and make him look good for seven minutes on TV
and maybe in another month, give him another fucking match like that.
But meanwhile, in between these TV appearances,
he's doing shit, whether it's in the gym
or it's in a fucking Appalachia County Fair
and fucking knob-knot Virginia.
and just get out there for 20 minutes.
And with a guy that they've sent that's proper,
that's chosen somebody knows what fuck they're doing,
they've got more money to federal government,
pay the guy $500 in a plane ticket or whatever
of the going rate is for some guy
that's otherwise doing Indies has been working 15 years,
give him a fucking task.
Do you see what I'm saying here?
slow
and by the end of a year and a half
or so that you've got a guy
that you can start working in the programs
and then he can start
like everybody else does
underneath
losing to the top guys
but holding his own and looking better
and then you start to give him a push
what it's it's the goddamn wrestling
business
nobody expects
who's the biggest
fucking movie star in the
world today. Brian, you know I don't give a shit.
Oh, the old movie star.
Geez, I don't know.
Timothy Shalemay.
Oh, God, pick a name I can't even pronounce.
Well, if Timothy Shalmet, the biggest goddamn movie star in the world today suddenly was to come out
with an 18-year-old son.
Do the producers in Hollywood star him in a $50 million blockbuster?
or do they put him in some little shit first
to see if he can say come in when somebody knocks on the door?
I don't know.
He's been in a lot of big movies since he first.
Does he have an 18-year-old son?
He doesn't have an 18-year-old son?
I mean, he's not even 30, I don't think.
I don't think he has an 18-year-old son, but...
You get my point.
I get your point.
Yeah.
Well, sadly, you called a lot of this
in advance in the preview we did on the experience
and perhaps other people have thoughts about things that will happen in the future.
And maybe they want to win some prizes for these.
I'll call them picks.
And you could do so from our friends at prize picks.
Well, I will call them our friends since you did,
and I will call them picks since you did,
and I will call them prizes since you did,
and I will say, folks, if you put all of them together,
that means that you can win lots of money and make friends over at prize.
picks. And that's exactly, and you can pick more or less on the next AEW pay-per-view,
more or less on the number of people who knock themselves out in the middle of the ring.
Or you could apply the same thing to, well, I don't know if they have it in football.
Brian, how many people in the average football game were they run into each other on purpose,
head first to get knocked out unconscious and carted off?
I mean, it happens. I don't know the statistics.
And it don't happen in every game.
I wouldn't think so, no.
Well, that's something to think about.
But I don't know if they count knockouts, folks.
Maybe it's just a technical knockout, but whatever.
If you like the football, well, prize picks is going crazy with the deals to start the football season.
They're giving users a new promo every day during stacked September.
And September has stacked September is almost over.
So now it'll be awkward October.
but make sure to sign up right now.
They got guaranteed picks, profit, boosts, and daily discounts.
Plus, the app is simple to use.
You just pick two to six players and pick more or less on their projected stats like
pass yards, rush yards, fantasy score, blood pressure score, cholesterol,
which are your favorite football players, have high cholesterol, you now have the
are they still doing the cholesterol, Brian?
I don't know if they're doing that.
They also may not be taking bets on whose Gardner will show up first.
And they may have been surprised by the winner here this week.
I would have, I won this, this pick.
See, I picked me because I know their schedule.
Did you know that prize picks also invented the injury reboot,
where if a player in your lineup gets injured in the first half
and doesn't return, your lineup can still cash.
So that means if, if the guy is going to,
going to break his leg, you want it to happen in the first half.
It's like a main event on a rain delay or a rain cancellation.
If it's going to rain, they put the first preliminary on, then put the main event on,
and nobody wants their money back.
But folks, right now you can download the prize picks app today and use the code
JCE to get $150 in lineups instantly if you win your first $5 lineup.
I can't say that enough.
So I'll say it again.
You'll get $150 in lineups instantly
if you win your first $5 lineup by using the promo code JCE
after you have downloaded a Foresed prize picks app
because that's just how generous they are.
And if you know your sports,
then you'll be able to just cash in.
And to think of how many of it.
And if you win all of those,
Then you better take us all on some type of vacation to a South Pacific Island with
with little drinks with umbrellas sticking out of.
Anything is possible with our friends at prize picks.
And of course, yeah, if you win, let us know we will take up your vacation off.
We'll take half of it.
That's right.
Once again, Jim, a promo code for a great deal.
J-C-E, would that be a thing that we could do?
not only our friends at prize picks compensate us for the advertising,
but also we could just say if you win, because you heard it here,
well, then we get half and we could double dip.
I don't think we're going to make an official edict on that,
but I think we could certainly use persuasion and guilt.
We can bully people into compliance, basically.
That's the good old-fashioned way to do it.
You better do it.
Well, you better download the prize picks app today.
Yeah.
and use the code JCE,
and you better pick,
pick wisely,
because we want some of your money.
Prize picks, run your game,
and we'll run ours.
Prize picks.
We'll be right back with more of the all-out review right after this.
All right,
high drama here on the high seas.
Jim, we're back.
More AEW all-out.
Well, the next match was for the TBS title,
which featured Persephone,
With Dr. Britt Baker in her corner,
she's come back to be the world's most highly paid manager against Danny Luna.
And I can tell you, Brian, I think, for an undisputed fact about this match,
start to finish, it was about 20 minutes.
Moving along.
The international title was on the line with Tomaso Champa taking on Blando McBoring.
our friend Okada.
And I was torn, Brian, with a choice between,
I like watching Champa work.
He's, God damn, he's in tremendous shape,
especially now for his age.
And he's ripped.
He's overcome injuries because he trains like a beast,
and his work is good,
and he can be serious when he wants to be.
And to do that, I have to watch this lazy, boring,
bland, broken down,
blaze, generic-looking
putts, sleepwalk his way through
stealing a billionaire's money
every time he walks in a ring.
Seems like he'd be the right guy to write a self-help book
for getting some of this money.
Oh, he's done quite well for himself.
And so, yeah, yeah, I said, fuck it.
There was a comedy spot in the middle
because I got on-screen fast forward now.
There was a comedy spot in the middle of where they built up to Okada, given the finger,
to Tomaso's eight-year-old daughter.
And then she looks at her mother for approval, and her mother says,
yeah, her mother, I can't remember her mother.
She used to be a production assistant years ago.
I've worked with her in TNA.
I can't remember what her name is.
Not the kid, obviously, with the mother.
And the mother says, okay.
And then the kid gives a double finger back to,
Okada.
That was the biggest pop of the,
well, it was the biggest pop of anything
I saw, which was only that.
But finally,
after another 20 minutes
of match time,
Okada has got the screwdriver
again.
Brian, let me ask you this.
I understand that they're keeping consistency
because the Don Callis family
is noted for using
the fluorescent colored
screwdriver.
And hide it.
they're being consistent here.
And hiding them.
And hiding them in various places, you know,
the, you know, so that they can come out with them at various points.
My question is, why do they keep this stupid shit going?
Nobody, when they actually do stab somebody in the head with a screwdriver,
they don't bleed any more than they bleed when they do everything else.
They're not really, they're not stabbing people in the chest.
So why do they continue to do this bullshit?
and these guys are having a fucking regular wrestling match.
Do you need the screwdriver?
Would the fans have set to seats on fire
if they didn't see the screwdriver?
So anyway.
No, but it does take things down.
Okada comes off the top with the screwdriver
going to stab Tomaso, but Tomaso caught him with a kick,
and then screwdriver's gone.
And then Tomaso went for a knee lift,
but Okada gave him a German suplex,
and they go back and forth and Tomaso hits a knee lift and he covered him.
He got a two count.
It was a pretty big pop.
People might have bought that one.
Then Tomaso drop kicks him and they go more back and forth.
And this is another thing they do and he's fucking mad.
It's totally unnecessary.
Don't bring a gimmick out and use the gimmick or get foiled with a gimmick and go five more
minutes. Once you brought out the goddamn, you know, machine gun, your clock is ticking, right?
It's got to be pretty much over here pretty soon. Anyhow. So after they do all this back and
forth, Okada gave him a body slam and that shitty clothesline and beat him one, two, three. Just beat him
flat. A power bomb on the stairs in this match or in this company.
is a two count.
It's a false finish,
but here, this fucking broken down
bowl of pudding
gives you a clothes line
and it beats Tomaso Champa.
And then he taunts his family.
And then he taunts his family.
And what is
their fascination with this guy?
I could go down here
to the Alzheimer's care fucking facility
and find a son of a bitch
that's more physically intimidating
and it would work hard.
for that amount of money.
He might not even understand
how much money he was getting, he'd work harder for it.
How many stars you think it'll get in the observer?
Oh, because Okada's in it, five, five and a half.
No, well, I think he'll rate it higher than it deserves,
but I can't imagine this would be five stars.
It can't be.
Four and a half.
Four and a half.
Do you know what, remember the,
when did we talk about the goddamn,
do we just talk about this?
No, we're not ready to,
talk about this yet.
What match was it that I
it was one of the six-man
tags I can't remember was swerve
and a new day and I said everything
that was wrong with it and what the fuck
and this and that and they missed
this, they missed that.
Meltzer gave it four and a half stars.
Yeah. Anyhow.
So then the
women's tag team title was on the line,
the Chicago street fight. So
the pre-show had a comedy garbage match
and now the main show,
before the men are going to have the garbage match later,
the girls get to have a garbage match.
What the fay?
There was a jumpstart in the aisle
with a trash candle lid and a long chain and some chairs.
They'd set up a table in 30 seconds.
A lot of them were screaming.
The giant greenhorns, I'm surprised
because Megan Bain especially looks like she just
wanders through life kind of confused anyway.
And I don't know how they're not killing themselves doing this shit,
you know, but I guess we should say it was Megan Brain and Lean Across against the
brawling braweds.
And Jamie Hater, one of the brawling broads got power bombed off the apron through a table
to the floor in the first five minutes of this thing.
Then they brought out a barbed wire wrapped chair.
Alex Mountbatten Windsor was bleeding.
They brought a garbage can.
One of the other heel goofs was bleeding.
They brought a set of bicycle rack railings into the ring.
And I wrote, gee, they all think that this is great,
that the girls are all being all equal and shit as the men and can have as bad
and stupid and fake a match as the guys.
And then they brought out a barbed wire covered board
and Megan Brain got Death Valley driver through it.
And then one of them brought out the bag of thumbtacks
and I'm finished here.
Life is too short.
But I don't know who won.
I don't care.
But what, who is this for besides the marks that are doing it?
I know the people sitting there are going, oh, God, she's got thumbtacks in her, stuck in her twat.
They like it if they're sitting there.
But again, if this match had not been on the card, or if they had just had a regular tag team match between these girls, which is challenging enough as it is,
would the fans have set to seats on fire with all the other things with the main event and all the other matches that were going on?
or is it just because there are marks booking and marks perpetrating
and they wanted to have a Chicago street fight
because they were in Chicago with girls and thumbtacks and barbed wire?
I think the match was for Tony and the talent who all wanted it
and isn't necessarily a feud that deserves it
or a program that the fans are really invested in,
so it was just a throwaway match.
Or talent that could carry it off as being anything more than another
fucking stupid outlaw mud show indie garbage match spectacle
like the marks that populate our industry
perpetrate these days.
Sorry to be so negative.
But Jesus Christ, what the fuck is the matter?
People are being carried out for less than this shit.
Who did win?
Did you watch or did you care?
The brawling birds.
Good, good, good for them.
So maybe, uh, oh, I,
I can't say it was this match that I was talking about because he wouldn't have been able to rate this one yet.
This just happened what night before last, whatever the fuck it was.
But they had the six-man tag team title on the line.
It was last week's match, the one they had on Wednesday night on TV,
that Dave apparently decided he was going to give four and a half stars to.
So now they got another one.
Swerve in the new new new day,
new, new, against Bro Dildo.
Are there heels here?
Is there someone that we're supposed to like want to see
to lose or get his comeuppance?
Or is it another of the endless baby face six-man tag team matches
that we established the other day
that you watched wrestling for 25 years
and never saw one baby face six-man tag team match?
It's not about rooting for baby faces and heels.
It's about rooting for action.
Well, they had a bunch of it here.
So I make no secret.
I think Bandito is the shits because his whole finish is stupid
and I'm just tired of the whole goddamn thing.
And we know Paige is an empty-headed dip shit.
Brody King was cool for about three weeks as a single.
lost some weight. He looks like he's taken this seriously and he's stuck in the middle of this,
stuck in the middle with you. So they started this thing out with Kofi and Bandito working a spot
around pointing finger guns at each other. And then they did aggressive parkour. And then Brody
King and Creed actually did some wrestling spots.
but then this is what I was to page ran down the apron he wasn't the legal guy ran down the
apron and cheap shotted creed and nailed him off the apron and I'm like is he trying to
work heal or is he just too stupid and know what he's doing and then they worked a spot where
page accidentally either smacked swerve in the face or poked him in the hour or whatever in
the corner and that started the show long or show long or
show long match long story that they page and swerve were couldn't wait to get a hold of each other
and tear each other limb from limb and they had their first big fight the partners had to separate
them but when you think about this brian having a fucking wrestling match why did their partners
have to separate people from opposing teams why didn't they just tag them in
I don't know.
I don't know.
The partners jumped down and separated the goddamn shoot fight at these two guys.
They looked pretty good.
They were mad.
And the partners said, oh, this looks way too good for this fake bullshit.
We're doing the part, instead of just tagging each man into the goddamn match or just letting them go, the partners separated because they were going too far.
Then they got heat on Bandito and they tripped.
team the shit out of him they got some they've got matching tag team gear do swerve in a new day they've
got matching colors and they've got all kinds of teamwork moves and they so they're the heels
they're just beating a shit out of this one guy god damn it and then they make the cold tag to brodie
and he makes a comeback and as i've noted he lost weight got some big moves in there cannonballed
austin creed got a two count swerve saved
And then Page and Swerved tagged in.
And it got a big pop.
And they had a fight and knocked the other ones out of the way.
And they had a exchange of questionable looking punches.
And then they got into a big six-way on the floor.
And there was some kind of fucked up triple team move by Bro Dildo to Creed.
And I wrote, it's just kind of a mess now.
And nobody's in the ring, been in the ring in forever.
We were about 15 minutes in.
in. Then they did double backflips off the top rope and another simultaneous cold tag
where they just switch plays in the middle of all of this chaos. And now let's just get fresh
guys in. Oh, that's another thing nobody understands anymore is if you're going to a tag team match,
you're going to get a set of heat on the fucking baby face. And then you're going to give his partner
the tag. And then you can go into your false finishes and shit.
but when you start tagging back and forth
just willy-nilly, you've lost what you did.
And then you're just going too far.
Or if you're going to get two sets of heat,
then give the first baby faces, come back and then stop him
and get a longer set of heat on him
because the first one was briefer
because it wasn't the last one.
And then you do the same thing.
But goddamn, they'll fight for seven or eight minutes
back and forth and just sometimes they'll tag
and sometimes they won't.
So there was a bunch of six-way no-taggs,
big moves, took forever to set up some of the stunts,
and then I swear to God, Creed was in the ring and tagged Kofi.
And Kofi climbed to the top to jump off on a motherfucker.
But as he climbed to the top, swerve tagged Kofi's leg
while he was still on the top rope before he had even gotten into the ring and done anything.
And the announcer said, oh, now swerve's the legal man.
Like that is, who would think that that is a thing that you can fucking do?
Tag a guy while he's on the leg while he's standing on a top rope before he's made contact in the ring to begin with.
You fucking lunatics.
If a guy gets tagged, he's got to get in the ring and he's got to make some type of physical contact with the legal man from the other team before he tags out, it don't work any other way.
And a tag is hand to hand with both feet.
on the goddamn mat and one hand on the turnbuckle or tag rope.
Not that fucking hard.
You goddamn idiots.
They all gave Brody King.
It was the midget spot we talked about the other night where all three of them cover
him, but the referee counts it.
But they get a two count because he kicks out and it's become a joke to these people.
It's just a, it's just, hey, let's go play and jack off.
They'll cheer for anything.
and then everybody did something to everybody and nobody covered anybody and then
swerve bent over and assumed the position and held on for that stupid
phony german suplex and bandito does but swerve back flipped over and landed on his feet
and then hit some kind of facaque to move on bandito one two three
It's 23 minutes of this from bell to bell.
Again, we're only two and a half hours into this show,
and I'm tired of it already.
Yeah, this hasn't been as hot or wasn't as hot
as many recent AEW shows where even if you weren't a giant fan of everyone,
you can kind of recognize big matches and big things happening.
This is kind of a holder show, despite the main event.
I'm sick of the six-man tag division.
They lost me with the stupid fucking gun spot at the beginning.
Gunspot.
The finger gun spot.
The finger gun.
Like this is pro wrestling gorilla.
I thought, I thought that was Kenny.
Very twinkletoes McFingerbang.
I thought that was his trademark spot.
But no, and they've got a double-barreled finger gun.
Did you see that?
I just didn't know if either guy was ready to pull the trigger.
Touche.
Moving along.
Moving along, why do I sound like Don Adams today?
The Tennessee Tuxedo, Chumley?
So next was Thekla and Willow.
Was this for a women's title of some description?
No, number one contendership to Mercedes-Money.
Okay, okay, so they only had seven title matches on the card.
But I would have loved to have watched a little Feckler,
but like I said, we were two hours into the same.
show and, you know, there are two and a half hours plus the pre-show.
So there's another two hours to go.
But basically the finish of this was Julia Hart and your, your girl, Sky, old blue sky.
My girl?
What the hell?
Came out.
You liked her back when we used to actually see her at the rest of while.
I thought she had some potential when she first showed up.
I wouldn't say I liked her.
You thought she had potential behind her in her fucking jeans.
and each of them have a title belt.
What?
What are you?
I don't know.
What's happening?
I have no idea.
What's going on here?
Do they have belts too?
They had title belts.
What are those belts about?
The belts they had.
The Willow and, not Willow,
sky blue and Julia?
Yes.
Oh, they're the champions of Invisible Wrestling.
It's a promotion that doesn't exist and no one watches it.
I don't know.
Maybe a Ring of Honor?
Well, they had title belts.
Maybe.
Probably.
And they came out and
Sky Blue hit Willow with the belt
and knocked her down
and then drew the referee.
And then Julia went to hit her with the belt.
Why did they hit her with the belt once?
Julia went to hit her with the belt,
but she moved and Julia hit Thetla.
And then Willow shit canned,
Julian nailed sky and cover one, two, kickout.
If you're going for an exciting baby face finish, that would have been it.
But if you're not, not a lot of reason to do that second fucking attempt at the belt shot.
Because then they continued the match.
Again, the gimmick has been pulled.
The machine gun has been introduced into this goddamn conflict.
And then they go five more minutes.
they continued and Thecla won with two kicks and a stomp.
One, two, three.
So why the fuck?
Wouldn't she just won when the first secondary bitch that came to the ringside
interfered and hit the baby face over the head with the fucking belt?
Stay down!
Then the baby face got fucked, cheated, horn swoggled,
and the heel gets some heat.
Instead, you got this goddamn
Keystone cops bullshit with duck this,
do that, hit, oh, boom, ding.
And then you don't even get a satisfactory baby face win out of it.
Instead of an exciting baby face win, you get a boring heel win.
What is happening here?
Big victory for Tecla, and she has Mercedes Monet coming up
at some point when her broken nose is healed.
Good Lord.
But just, do you see what they beat the baby face?
For no reason.
She was down already.
The heel had cheated.
There was intervention.
Calls for a rematch to me.
No.
Now that y'all have finished doing all this complicated shit,
I'm just going to beat her flat in the middle of fucking ring with a goddamn stomp.
And then I saw that the next match was for the World Tag Team Championship,
a three-way six-man ladder match between FTR, Edge and Christian, and the Hardley Boys.
And at that point, I said, I got to walk away from this for a while,
or I'm just going to get sour on it.
So this is where I took a couple hours and played with the puppies
and did some laundry and household chores to try to cheer myself up before I came back to a day.
Have you ever done this in the middle of one of these things?
things. I got to go do some goddamn manual labor to cheer myself up.
I don't know if manual cleaning my office. Is that manual labor?
Anything that, how about going to the dentist for a root canal?
I could worm that in in the middle of a couple of these fucking pay-per-views.
It gets to about the four and a half hour mark.
My biggest problem with this pay-per-view, and it's happened, I think, once before with
AEW, I started falling asleep. The main event, which we'll get there,
but it was right after the, you know, pretty close to this.
I was having a tough time staying awake until I was like,
what the fuck are they doing?
But I don't know.
I know it's a ladder match and that's supposed to be a big deal,
but I did not give two shits about this match.
Well, I see the plan now that it is unfolded.
The Buccaroos didn't win the last big match on pay-per-view,
and they didn't win the previous or whatever,
because they wanted to win this big one.
Now they finally had the big match so that they can play the part of the Hardy Boys.
Their heroes from 25 years ago when they were on the trampoline.
And they couldn't get to Dudley's to go along with it,
but they got Edg and Christian to go along with it.
And they put FTR in, as they said, the Dudley Boys spot.
And they have been able to live out their fantasy of being the Hardy Boys on pay-per-view
when they're in their fucking, well, I guess little Nicky ain't in his 40s yet, is he?
Is he 39 like Jack Benny?
Well, to be fair, he has the hairline of a 45-year-old.
Well, he ought to give it back because he's losing some of them.
But anyway, that's was the whole thing.
They built to this deal, so it's not a business decision to make the Buccarus the tag team champions.
because nobody gives a shit about them anymore, pretty much anyway.
We've established that with everything they've done for the last however long.
And it's old news anyway.
They just brought, and see now something else becomes clear too here to me,
as I use my five decades experience in a rassling business
and the way that shysters operate,
you would have thought when they signed the new day,
one of the most popular tag teams of the WWE
of the last 10 years at least to these contracts
to come in with big fanfare,
that they would probably pretty quickly end up being a tag team champion
since AEW's tag team division has kind of been, yeah.
But instead, oh, the six-man title,
let's put them together with a,
swerve and
let's do this
because the buckaroos
had planned this fantasy match
for themselves
but it makes more business sense
to make the new day
the tag team champions
but instead they got to be
the six-man champions
so they could follow through
with this nonsense.
Can you imagine
I would have thought
that it would have been a
pay-per-view level match
to advertise,
I don't know,
the new day
versus Edge and Christian for the tag team title,
wouldn't that if anything was going to get some
WWE fans these days to come over and wouldn't it be
advertising WWE former champion and Hall of Famer
and the guy he was partners with and all the big matches years ago
against 15-time WWE tag team champions for the AW tag team title?
On pay-per-view.
No.
The Buccaroos get it again
by climbing the ladder of kissing Tony's ass.
Does that make any sense to you,
or am I just a conspiracy theorist?
Personally, I don't know if the modern WWE fan
cares about Edging Christian.
That was a long time ago.
They've heard of them.
The traditional, you know, the long-time WWE fans,
it may mean something to them.
Young bucks in New Days
a match they've been teasing
for a long time
so to that audience
it means a big deal
who's the baby faces
you could ask that
about every single match
on the show
that's not unique
that's one of the problems
of modern booking
you've already got
you've already got Christian
was already a goddamn
see the thing is just take the buckaroos
out of it Christian's already
a heel anyway so you got
some kind of goddamn
abrasiveness there
but Edge is an
icon and the new day coming in could say they have legitimately followed
in edge in Christians footsteps and won the WW tag team title,
how many fucking times.
And they've been the best tag team in the world for real instead of just saying it
because Uncle Dave tells the bucks they are.
And then you could have had a goddamn coherent showdown between four guys
that could probably have had a heck of a fucking match.
And instead you've got,
what you've got here.
AEW is not necessarily known for their coherent showdowns.
Well, this was, the show was down all right.
So three-team, six-man ladder match, tag team title,
the third garbage match on the same show, chairs were passed done,
Dax got color immediately,
guys were bending over and freezing in place,
so they could take the chair shots on the back,
which overdone.
Somebody busted cage open a hard way
with a chair by accident.
But I mean, just even in Memphis,
you'd try to have the wildest match ever,
like once a year, right?
And I can't believe these guys don't break their legs.
These ladder matches are the worst thing
that ever happened to wrestling.
and once that they did it,
and I'm not talking about the Sean Michaels,
Razor Ramon kind of ladder match,
I'm talking about these kind of ladder matches
where they added the chairs, the tables,
and tag teams that it got ridiculous,
because they did it in the attitude era,
in the WWF, and now every indie goof
that has gotten to business for the last 25 years
has been fixated on it,
as like it's,
kind of big, either a fun thing or a right of passage or a goddamn proud moment to accomplish,
you're fucking working with goddamn 12-foot aluminum ladders.
It's wonder you don't accomplish breaking every bone of your fucking stupid bodies.
The edge can't tell me that you can't break a bone in your body jumping off a high thing,
even when you're doing it on purpose, much less the propensity and the possibility of doing it
by accident in this bullshit.
and the superplex onto the ladder bridge
and the kookamonga kids getting to do all their trampoline stuff
that they like here.
And they backdropped Cash Wheeler.
I think they ought to make him a single
and make him the world goddamn champion.
I think he's the best worker in a fucking company.
But he's hidden everywhere now.
They backdropped him over the top rope.
He was going to go through a 10-year-old.
table, but it was a little too far away, so his legs went through the table, and he landed on
his arm on the floor from 12 feet. Could have broken his arm. They broke some more tables. They did a
spot where they broke three tables at the same time. Then the Stokely, fucking Stokely. How bad
does Stokely need that job that they talked him into this? Or did he do this? Oh, it'd be
cool. He blinds Christian with powder and he goes to climb the ladder. He's all alone and the
announcer said, would that count? The manager gets the belts. It's a nice spot, cool spot. Instead of
one of the baby faces going up there and catching him and scaring him down or even letting him
take a bump off the ladder into the rig or whatever, they pushed the ladder over. He went off
the ladder over the top rope, clearing it through a table onto the floor.
was he weigh 140 fucking pounds
Jesus Christ there's no padding
well what he seems like a diminutive little
fellow to me but to point is what I'm trying to kill Stokely
not the first time
when I did the scaffold deal
I knew that I was at least
going feet first straight down
of my own volition
if they just said you get on top of the ladder rope push you over the top rope try to hit that table you know what fuck
it's been a wonderful fucking experience ladies gentlemen and you find me in a louisville kentucky
damn it so then edge was all alone and he was climbing but f t r stopped him and they spiked
pile drove edge on the floor.
And then the Hardley boys, Spike Piledrove Dax on the floor with their little
flippy spike, so it doesn't look as good, but same principle.
So these guys momentarily, Edge had reconstructive neck surgery.
So he's momentarily put out of action by a spike pile driver on the floor.
Then they set up, that's when they set up the three table and the ladder spot and the
The fans at this point were like, okay, the ladder fell into the first row.
At that point, I fast forwarded to the finish.
I couldn't take it anymore.
What the fuck else?
And finally, Nikki and Maddie were on the top of the ladder,
and the ladder sitting next to it, Christian was,
and they gave him their shitty little double knee lift on top of the ladder
and got the belts.
so that would i mean the the bump of the night and the fucking highlight of the whole thing to me was
stokely because you never really see him do anything and holy shit
and the fucking these two little douchebags winning the belts was oh we give you a little
knee bloom and okay Jesus Christ you thought their ego would have made them want to
beat edging Christian at wembley the real thing was beating them in the tables ladders and chairs
match. That's what I'm saying. That's what I've realized. It was all part of the master plan.
They didn't win that one. They didn't win the other one. They won the fantasy match here for them.
So that now if they could just figure out some way to breastfeed from Matt and Jeff Hardy's
mother, that's probably the only thing that they have got left to do.
Well, that'll be on pay-per-view. We'll see what happens. But more all out.
Yo, yes, there was.
There was a video, by the way.
Wardlow is coming back.
My God, it's like in fucking 1962.
Suddenly they said, hey, we found Amelia Earhart.
She'll be back next week.
It's been 25 years.
Where the fuck?
Where did he go?
And why did he go there?
Have we ever been told that on this television program?
I think the chain of events was that he filmed
American Gladiators. He had been hurt.
Maybe before that, but during the time off
the sabbatical, he filmed the show, came back,
they turned him heel,
they put him with the Calus family,
and then I think he got hurt in the first match
back on Dynamite. And then we haven't seen him again.
So is he returning as a baby face, or is he
back with the Callas family?
After one day
with the Calus family.
I mean, it's also stupid.
He's got a nice,
and he's got a nice suit and it's monogrammed on the shirt with his name Wardlow.
We know that from the video.
But how long, has that been a couple years?
Anyway, Wardlow was MJF's bodyguard in 2020.
I mean, it's a long time ago at this point.
Well, that's when he started, yes, but it's been a long time since we saw him come back for
the one day and get hurt.
Oh, yeah, it has to be probably about a year.
would say.
What, do these people have goddamn liver transplants or major heart surgery?
I've never heard of people that if, if you have something to happen to you,
that it takes you a year and a half to come back to do something, chances are you might not
at least think about not doing that anymore.
All righty then.
for the main event of the evening,
the AEW title was on the line,
Will Osprey,
the fiery baby-faced champion
that just won in front of his home country
against the man he credits
with being his mentor
and basically made him what he is today,
the biggest fucking heel,
the guy that tried to pour Drano down people's throats,
the guy that loves to drink blood and eat bones,
Dick the boozer himself, John Moxley.
And again, I was conflicted like I was in one of the earlier matches
because Osprey is the best when his opponent is not an acrobat or a gymnast,
because then it's Osprey alone doing the stuff that he can do to counter the heels shit,
and it's less of it, which means it's more palatable, and it fits better.
And Moxley is not an acrobat or a gymnast, but he's also almost,
and so much of his shit either looks fake as fuck or the fact that his matches are stupid as shit.
So again, there's these two forces, but I had to watch this.
But we begin with the entrances, and Brian, remember when the cool young baby faces with the
nice bodies and the big smiles and got all the fucking women hanging all over them,
came out to fucking rock and roll music or even the goddamn,
even the baby faces, it weren't necessarily just geared to the female set,
but just the cool top guy had fucking some music that got,
they start with a goddamn violin solo for Osprey,
a violin solo from a violin solo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-oist.
And then they did a video with waves of the scenes,
and ships and pirates
pirates
a pirate ship with a monkey
there was a monkey
on the pirate ship
this was fucking
some kind of
AI video
there was a voiceover
from a
Sean Connery
wannabe type he's got the accent
from aye Captain Matee
Ahoy
yeah but he's doing the voiceover
I don't know what the fuck he's talking
about because I think they were taken also on pay-per-view at least the audio feed off the screen
in the arena because it's I couldn't I don't know what this fucking guy was saying something
about the assassins and the pirates and the missions what the fuck does god damn osprey
have to do with a fucking pirate and do you know where a pirate keeps his buccaneers
hat.
Under his bucking hat.
What is Will Osprey got to do with a fucking pirate ship?
It's from the video game chain, video game line, Assassin's Creed.
And it was some sort of cross-promotion where the cross-promotion was intended to make people
scratched their heads and go, what the hell is this?
It would be nice to be, you know, kept the monkey, though, and had like a monkey on his shoulder
going to the ring.
I've never seen that before.
Why is there a monkey on a pirate ship?
the pirates would eat the monkey when they got hungry, wouldn't they?
I think some pirates had monkeys.
I thought pirates had parrots.
I mean, depends.
And I know people are going to say you can eat the parrot,
but the parrot wouldn't go around like the monkey would.
And the parrots probably goddamn kind of, you know, brown poultry meat.
But why would they have parrots?
They don't have monkeys?
How come no dogs?
You don't hear about pirates?
Like, oh, he just loved his dog.
See, that's why you have to question the character of,
pirates.
And I question this fucking character.
Anyway, Osprey was in the parking lot after the ship docked.
And somewhere on Lake Michigan, outside of goddamn the arena in Chicago.
That is Lake Michigan, isn't it?
What is that water up there?
It's a lake.
Or is it Lake, or is it Lake Ontario?
No, that's in New York.
Yeah.
Or wherever the fuck.
his ship came in
and then he was in the parking lot
and he set fire to the death rider's flag
it was being held by his
diminutive child-sized cohorts and seconds
and then he walked past the trucks
and he's wearing Liberace's fucking nightgown
I guess say my comments on Kyle
for they've got an unlimited wardrobe budget
and what the fuck.
He,
they are creating these images for themselves
that they see for themselves in their mind
rather than what people see when they look at the
person that's in this fucking tripe.
Does that, does the outfits that Osprey
is the top baby face and smiley young,
white meat hero of this.
company, does that make any of the women want to swoon over him?
He ought to wear Andrade's cap.
I don't think that's his audience.
He makes the male wrestling fans into action swoon.
Well, they like the smell of their own farts.
It makes them swoon here in this company.
So they rang the bell after the introductions, counting the pre-show four hours,
45 minutes into this thing.
and the crowd sang, O'Lei,
and Zing went my heartstrings.
Now the crowd sang O'Lei,
and they stared at each other,
and they felt each other out,
and they tried to grapple.
Osprey is a good, fiery baby face.
He has crisp.
What he's just doing, a high spot
that would be acceptable and polite society,
like, you know, hip-tosses, arm drags,
kickoffs, wrestling things.
He's crisp.
He's athletic.
moxley is better when he tries to do pro wrestling shit
that he doesn't
you know have to show that he's the fucking second coming
a goddamn hoist gracie or
drink people's blood or whatever
his shit is basic shit if he'd stick to it
he doesn't call or set up smart matches
and a lot of this seem to be moxleyish
but pretty quickly he got moxley gave him a dd t on a top turnbuckle and got color on osprey but
then they have to go 30 minutes or whatever and it dries up i mean i'm serious after a while
either you either you go far enough that you pretty much need to get some attention before
a 30 minutes is up or you have a 30 minute match that shit dries up
But then Moxley started on the floor with the tough guy stuff and the licking the blood and the separating the fingers and the standing there and letting Osprey hit him.
And that's a thing with Moxley as a heel, his heat isn't fast-paced or exciting with abrupt hope spots by the baby face would come out of nowhere and then are shut down.
it just kind of plods along.
And he, Osprey, the guy with the bad neck, neck surgery,
almost ended his career.
There's the whole promotional selling point for him coming back.
He took, of course, multiple pile drivers.
It was just a move.
Don't worry, I'm fine.
And then he would be going 100 miles an hour afterwards.
At about 15 minutes in, they traded forearms.
Or after 15 minutes at Osprey, he's been pile driven, he's been beat up.
It's a good idea.
I'll just sit there and let the guy hit me in and I'll hit him.
We'll see who comes out on top.
17 forearms punches or slaps back and forth from each guy, nobody went to a knee.
Then another pile driver to the guy with a bad neck, two count.
More heat on Osprey.
I'm reading my notes now.
Osprey comeback power bomb and styles clash two count
Cody Cutter two count
now both sell
Osprey goes for the elbow
Marina Schaefer pulls his leg
Hong Kong Foui and Francis
getting a fight with Yuta and Garcia
on the floor
Osprey misses a kick and knocks the referee to the floor
where he will remain
I forgot to time it but if anybody wants to go back
I'll kiss your ass on Broadway if it wasn't five minutes.
Osprey knocks the referee to the floor,
but then the heels beat up the faces on the floor.
Osprey hits the elbow on Moxley,
but Yuda comes in and beats up Osprey.
Then all the seconds from each corner,
Fouy and Francis and Yuda and Garcia,
start using the ring to have their own fucking match.
They're doing multiple spots.
and things.
And that takes a while.
And then did you see spitball
shoved Marina Schaefer down, Brian,
but I guess that doesn't count as male-on-female violence.
So I guess that's acceptable.
And then Pack knocked Bailey out with a briefcase.
He suddenly appeared.
And then Pack went to hit,
Osprey with the briefcase, but Andre pulled him to the floor and knocked him down.
And then Moxley gave Osprey his DDT, but Osprey completely no-sold it,
popped up and gave Moxley the elbow.
Then Osprey got up and ran toward Moxley like he was going to give him another,
but Schaefer hit him with the briefcase.
and then Schaefer rolled a referee in.
I swear to God it's been five minutes.
Cover.
One, two, Osprey kicked out.
This is the most ridiculous
that it's just degenerated into nonsense.
Now Schaefer
kicked the referee out again
back out of the ring and got to
briefcase, but here came Alex
Mountbatten Windsor
and Jamie Hader.
And the two girls,
baby faces beat up the one girl heel and utah and then the hater dove on everybody and the girls
and everybody they fought off hold on i need i need oxygen i need some breath i need god damn this to be
over with then moxley gave osprey the stomp on the briefcase and then yelled at him for a while
and trash talked him and then picked up the briefcase and was conflicted and almost cried
and didn't know whether to hit him or not.
The bleach guy.
And then he got down on his knees and made the sign of the cross as if to ask God to forgive him for what he's about to do.
and then he hit Osprey over the head with the fucking briefcase
and covered him just when a new referee happened to slide in the ring
one, two, kick out!
I swear to God!
And Moxley hit him with a DDT
and in another DDT,
and then the one where he picks him up,
they even give it a different name,
he picks him up in the air and drops him DDT.
two count i bet you motherfuggers then moxley got a choke and held it forever and osprey just got out i think
poked him in the eye or bit him or did be bid him and then hit his elbow and did a big flippy move
two count i swear then osprey pulled off his elbow pad and moxley got on his knees his back was
Osprey.
But he started laughing.
Moxley did.
And nodding his head when he had looked at him,
when he's not in front of me, he must be behind me.
And the announcers, of course, were fed the point.
They had to say that that Moxley realizes
doom is about to befall him.
And Moxley
gets just turns around
and lets Osprey hit him with the fucking
elbow, one, two, three, one, two, fucking three.
If he could sit there and laugh and have the energy to turn around, he could
have rolled to the right and got out of the way.
You blithering simpleton, they are huffing the methane out of their own farts to the
point where they think this shit is Shakespeare.
They're in the middle of some video game fantasy universe
where they're all characters and can just do magical things.
And the magical things they can do most of the time
is make logic, credibility, and viewers disappear.
And then Moxley snatched the belt and gave it to Osprey,
and they shook hands.
They shook fucking hands.
Good match.
Five hours and 20 minutes with the pre-show and 30-plus minutes on that main event
and one of the most ridiculous finishes I've ever seen in my life.
I'm surprised they didn't have Osprey win by choking him out.
I actually kind of expected that.
We knew Osprey was going to win.
This was the ultimate payoff for the whole thing with Moxley.
And what a payoff it was.
They even had some throwbacks, the briefcase.
You forgot about him having the belt in a briefcase for a year.
Well, yes, they mentioned that, but so would everybody else.
And if you hadn't, what's wrong with your life?
And besides that, who get, why did it have to be a briefcase for fuck's sake?
Why did any, why did there have to be 18 people run in, take over the ring,
give us an intermission from the match for five minutes, and then go back to the fucking match.
Nope.
You know, Jim, there are people who will tell you this is a great example of AEW story.
telling of their brand of having things play out and tell these stories and that John Moxley
sitting there knowing that the end was near and resigning to the fact that he had to turn
around and get hit, that that is a big part of the story.
A lot of this is shit and, you know, we criticize the nonstop kickouts and everything.
The Osprey matches is where it's standing at the most at this point.
and it's not even just big moves.
It's getting hit with anything.
It's being hit with a bowling ball.
He'll kick out.
Nothing ever stopped.
I don't know.
To me, it's too much.
But again, they're doubling and tripling down on the idea
that if we just get people to kick out nonstop,
the fans will lose their mind.
But defeats the purpose in a lot of ways to me.
I hated this match.
I was falling asleep during this match.
I thought the ending sequence or sequences,
depending on where you want to start it,
We're awful.
And there we go.
Hopefully that's the end.
Well,
and here's another thing.
Just food for thought for these people.
Again,
since they just had a guy carried out of the ring there for Stephen Borden,
if you kick out of everything and get the people used to you kicking out of everything
and going crazy when you kick out of everything,
eventually you have to kick out of more than everything.
and while you're doing that, you know what you're doing?
You're taking everything.
You're taking every goddamn bump.
You're taking every goddamn move.
You're going through every goddamn piece of furniture.
And whether you're carried out immediately because of an instant injury
or you're taken off the field by the medical staff because of cumulative injuries at some point in time,
you're still taking everything.
You know who didn't constantly have surgery
and or end careers early?
The guys that didn't take everything all the time.
Well, that was AEW all out.
Another big night of action for AEW,
a big main event there,
and of course, Jim, coming out of that match,
John Moxley may feel a little less of a man
than he was going into the match.
He may need a boost to pick me up,
something to get him back to who he once was,
and maybe he can get that from our friends at Mars Men.
Well, that's exactly, because have you noticed
he's also looked a little pale lately, as Moxley?
He's looked a little pale,
and possibly he may just not be as energetic as he used to be,
and just, you know, when you get to be in your 40s,
these things, and look at the hard life
that he must have led to have been aged in this fashion.
So, folks, it could happen to you too,
even if you don't look like John Moxley, praise God.
When you get your 30s and 40s, men, things start to feel different.
Your energy drops off faster.
Your recovery takes longer.
The workouts, if you choose to engage in them,
possibly don't yield the results they used to.
It's because your body isn't working.
like it used to. And you know, they got all these testosterone remedies and replacement therapies
and all of that type of stuff. It's all fancy Dan, Brian, and I'm just a small town bird lawyer,
but I know that a lot of that stuff ain't good for you. But what you can do, instead of
injecting yourself with all of this fake stuff, you want to help your body produce the real
stuff. And they've given me all this information. I don't want to sound like a doctor here.
But your testosterone, Brian, may be locked up in your body. It may be locked under lock and key.
It's in there, but we can't get to it to use it. And you don't want to be drilling for it now.
That would be painful. So, and even if your levels look good on the test, a lot of it might be
in there, but it's locked up in the safe deposit box. So,
Mars men fixes that problem using clinically dosed ingredients like Tongat Ali
and his partner Tiger Jit Singh and Boron
and ingredients like they went all the way to Mars to get these as we mentioned the other day
it was it was one of these new space age programs you hear about except it was kept
under wraps because they brought this stuff back from Mars and they're given Mars men
members the first shot at it.
Created and developed on Earth,
for the record. Well, yeah,
but from the Martian
recipes that they found up there
on Mars. No, there's no
Russian recipes. Come on.
It was like the soup Nazis
Shiffrobe, where they turned
over a rock on Mars and found these
recipes. They've got ingredients like
Syllagypt and Phinegric
along with vitamin
D and zinc that support natural
testosterone production, energy.
and recovery, you don't force hormones into your body,
you just open up your safety deposit box and let the hormones go free.
Guys, I'm telling you're going to be spraying your hormones all over the general public
if you get on this shit.
And it's made here in the USA from clean, healthy, Martian ingredients,
third-party tested.
It's now available at GNC nationwide, but we're going to give you some
discounts folks because if you want to support healthy testosterone levels energy and stamina
with a 90 day money back guarantee so hell if you're if you're if your testosterone isn't
as rony as it's ever been when you get your money back and right now over 91% of users
are reporting higher energy levels you heard about that human fly that was arrested for climbing
at skyscraper here
the other day, he was one of the people in this survey.
I'm not sure whether he took it and then climbed the skyscraper or did, but nevertheless.
We're not sure if any of this, let's just clarify.
Yes, but we are sure of the 90-day money-back guarantee and all the other stuff.
And for a limited time only right now, ladies gentlemen, without further ado,
our listeners can get 50% off for life.
And boy, they are got to be hoping you, son of vicious don't live to be 97.
that's a lot of money. Plus free shipping and three free gifts. Just take them. Just clean these people out.
It's like you're picking their pockets. Men go to mars.com. That's the website. Men go to mars.com.
They named it after the mission for 50% off and three free gifts when you check out and just tell them that you heard about them here.
And then take them for the suckers they are for giving you a deal like this. Men go to mars.com, 50% off.
and three free gifts when you check out and mention our show.
That's basically all you have to do for some reason.
I don't know how they stay in business,
especially the cost of gas to get to Mars and back.
Once again, a great deal.
Even if travel is only here on our domestic planet, as it were, Mars men,
Mars men.
Our domestic planet.
Check them out today.
And Jim, with that,
Yes.
We'll find out what happens.
We'll be right back after this short commercial timeout.
Ad product is out of this world.
All right.
Man, everything's sounding good today.
This is such a good day.
We are back, Jim.
We went from All Out, and we're going to get to Raw and other things in a moment.
I wanted to ask you about an off-topic thing here, if you don't mind.
Let me open.
Well, what if I do?
Is that going to stop you in any way, or you're going to barrel on?
Do you mind?
No.
Okay.
Thank God.
I don't know what the show would have become if you had said I mind.
Jim Miriam Webster.
Uh-oh.
I know her.
Has added some new words to their dictionary this year.
Have you been following this?
Unfortunately, I have not.
Hold on.
I've still got the American Heritage Dictionary third edition.
It's got every word that I need to know this thing.
Well, it's a recent edition.
Trying to find the date here.
It's up to date.
It's 1994.
That's good.
They invented anything in the last 30 years that I gave a shit about.
Well, let me get your thoughts on these words being added to the dictionary.
Yacht Rock.
How would that?
Which, by the way, that music was never called.
Never ever until like what I saw it last year.
I think. Somebody would say,
Yacht Rock, it was a documentary.
But besides, that's not a word, that's a phrase.
Did they used to have phrases
concerning genres of pop music in the dictionary?
I don't know.
It says here every year Miriam Webster adds
hundreds of terms to its digital pages,
and these are a few of, again,
there are 1,400 words that have achieved that this year.
1,400 editions.
Well, the thing's going to be,
a goddamn big you can't get through it
if they're just putting everything in. Well, it's like
wrestling. Everybody can play now.
We'll just make up words and stick them in a dictionary.
All right. Well, moving on from Yot Rock,
do you think looks maxing
should make the cut because it has?
Looks maxing.
What is, that is,
one would think,
maximizing your looks
in some fashion? Yeah, kind of.
There's like this group of influencers
online, these duffices who
they all look anorexic and they
look like they're on the gas and some of them wear wigs and they try to clench their jaw.
Are they male or female now?
They're male and like literally they suggest that they should hammer their bones in their cheeks
to get better.
Yeah, they tell people to hammer.
What is happening?
They tell people to hammer the bones in their cheeks to get like more defined cuts in their
face.
It's been all over the news lately, but looks mad.
These are anorexic men wearing wigs, taking chisels to their feet.
face is what you're explaining to me, and they've put this in the dictionary.
According to wordsmarts.com, the term looks maxing refers to a social media phenomenon
in which people go to sometimes extreme or dangerous measures intended to increase one's
physical attractiveness.
To what or who?
It may involve something as simple as giving up sugar.
But it also includes more drastic interventions such as intense plastic.
surgery procedures and even
whacking one's jaw with a
mallet to slightly alter its shape
and that it says in parentheses, don't
do this.
Hey, I'd say, give me a mallet.
I can alter a motherfucker's shape of his jaw.
What in the world would you...
Oh, God damn.
What about superfood?
Does that make the cut for you?
Well, what is that?
because Stacey likes a superfood slaw from Paul's market over here.
She always gets the superfood.
What is superfood?
Is that food from the planet Krypton?
Food that is rich in nutrients, antioxidants, fatty acids, and other elements
considered to be good for health.
Well, why are we fat shaming the acids?
Jim, what are your thoughts on trash panda?
Trash panda.
Oh, that's a raccoon, isn't it?
Oh, it is. You know what? That's new day. What some people call raccoons.
I just saw that on Twitter the other day.
What some people call raccoons.
Absolutely nobody except one guy on Twitter last Tuesday, so we'll put it in a dictionary.
Well, here's an interesting addition to the dictionary. I throw back to old episodes of this show.
Sunday Scaries.
The anxiety creeping up.
I thought that was just some advertising bullshit that they were paying us to say.
The Sunday scaries the feeling of anxiety or sadness that arise on Sunday from the knowledge that the weekend is almost over.
I used to get that when I was in school.
As soon as I left school, that went away.
All right, Jim.
I just had it for 12 years.
What about Uncanny Valley?
What?
Uncanny Valley.
It's a psychological effect.
characterized by feelings of unease or revulsion
in response to the nearly but imperfectly
lifelike quality of something.
I think you lost me around the fucking bin.
Now wait, it's the what now of the who?
The psychological effect
characterized by feelings of unease or revulsion
in response to the nearly
but imperfectly lifelike quality of something.
Are you AI?
I...
Why would you have a particular goddamn revulsion just...
Hey, that looks pretty good.
Yeah, I can almost believe that.
What, I don't understand?
I don't know.
I don't know.
Maybe it just makes some people want to puke.
Jim Parassocial.
Added to the dictionary.
Parassocial.
And pair, that's when you go out with two women at the same time.
But you're only friends.
A one-sided...
emotional connection with someone whom one does not know personally.
It's actually an unhealthy fake relationship, it sounds like.
Oh, I just thought it was a pair of platonic friends that wouldn't blow you.
Do you know the Mandela effect?
That is when I know this, and I'm going to tell you this right now,
that is when that people get put in the same prison as Nelson's,
Mandela was in.
What, the, it's, it's the effect of them doing that.
I can't remember.
According to Wordsmarts.com, poll a large group of people on the status of Nelson
Mandela, and many of them will claim he died in a prison in the 1980s.
But that didn't actually happen, despite many people believing it did.
This shared confusion gave rise to the term Mandela effect, a phenomenon in which many people
collectively misremember a specific fact, event, or detail in a consistent manner.
That's what I was trying to say.
Other examples include people thinking that Darth Vader said, Luke, I am your father,
or the idea that the fruit of the loom logo features a cornucopia.
I didn't realize that was a issue, okay?
I never stared at the ass of my drawers, as Mama Cornett would say, long enough to,
I just knew that there was some fruit there.
Limeres.
What about limerence?
But hold on, hold on.
I knew that Nelson Mandela did not die in prison.
He got out and lived some long time after that.
But I remember that it had something to do with the prison that Nelson said, oh, do I get a half a point?
I will give you half a point
I haven't been keeping track of points
I regret that would inform you so far
Well I still want one
Limerance what about limerence
That was
Well that the movie with dueling banjos
No that was that was de-limerance
No that was de-limerance
Well that's in that case
The hillbillies
They come out of the woods
In this one
It's the sequel
limerance is a state of blissful
usually temporary infatuation
experienced during the early periods of a romantic relationship
what's if
limerance what about meme coin
you must know that one
well i i'm not i know the
the memes
but i don't have any idea of what how it applies to coin
but i don't i was thinking it was something to do
with the fucking bitcoin
or the goddamn fake money
that they're making these days.
Bitcoin holds actual value
to its holders, but all across the internet,
you'll come upon various examples of a meme coin,
which is virtual currency
created in honor of internet memes or celebrities,
often without any actual use or value.
Well, there you go.
The most famous being Dogecoin,
which, of course, led to Elon Musk thinking
Doge was cool and using that as the name of the department.
apartment. But a few more words here, Jim. Promposal. What about promposal? Now, this is one I've heard. Have you heard this one? Oh, is that where you, you would ask the girl to the prom? You would propose that you go to the prom together?
Creative and often elaborately or extravagantly staged request for someone to be one's date for a prom.
Well. They turned it into a big thing now.
maybe what do they like steal a car and kidnap the girl and take her to a remote cliff and
I'll throw you over if you don't go with me or what how elaborate do they need to get
I don't know but usually they make sure there's a cell phone around to film it like they're
the rock or something Jim Rickroll do you know Rickroll that is where
someone surprises someone with
never going to give you up or something like that.
I can't believe this is in the dictionary.
To trick someone into hearing the song never going to give you up by English singer Rick Astley.
How is this in the dictionary?
I mean, come on.
Well, that's what I was saying a few minutes ago.
We started this whole journey through hysteria.
It's just there's no standards anymore.
You can just make shit up and make it part of the language because they say so.
Well, we will stay on top of this big story.
California sober has made the dictionary.
California sober.
Well, they have a California king bed, so that's a little bit bigger than a regular-sized king bed.
So is this mean you have to be a little bit more sober?
I don't know.
California sober usually means you're sober from everything except weed.
And apparently the dictionary said you're sober for everything except alcohol, which is completely wrong.
So I guess Miriam and Webster will have to fix that.
Well, now, goddamn now, if we know that they're wrong about this, what else might they be wrong about?
I might have been right about some of my definitions.
They may be the ones that's wrong.
One final word, and we move on here.
Xenial.
X-E-N-I-L.
That is the next girl wrestler that Tony Kahn is bringing from Mexico.
Apparently I'm a zenial, and I didn't even know it.
Someone born in the late 70s or early to mid-19-18.
80s.
You find out something new every day, or you see it in the dictionary.
There it is.
We'll stay on top of word news going forward here, but Jim, I understand you watched a show,
a little old show we call WWRWA.
A little old show.
I'm trying to think, because the problem is with this program is the start and the end of it
were connected and everything in the middle was just kind of ass.
So I'll do one thing that I want to make mention of first,
then we'll talk about this bloodline business.
They had an in-ring interview with Obafemi.
And the problem is he can talk,
so he's going to get like 10 minutes every week.
Here's another top star that is going to come out and talk to us every week.
but the people love him and he's doing great.
And he had a contract.
And even did you know, the PA mic went out on him and it didn't even really throw him off.
He just gave the poor production assistant at ringside a couple of dirty looks.
And they got it back and he kept going.
The fans booed for a second.
Well, yes, because they were like, hey, we want to hear what he's got to say.
The people were they were going to drag the audio game.
guy out into the town square.
But because the vision and specifically Bronson Reed, they'd attacked him and a blah, blah, blah.
So he had a contract for a match at money in the bank against Reed.
He said, this is the way that business is done into WWE.
A wise man taught me this.
And even the fans would.
So they picked up on it that they're still teasing some type of involvement with
with Paul.
But he called Bronson Reed out
and of course Bronson Reed was standing by
of media with his music and ready
to come on out.
I'm just going to wait
for my cue from the guy that I
just tsunamied 16 times
and kicked the holy shit out of
but I don't want to be rude
and come out before he, you know, calls for me.
Do I be, am I lying?
That's unfortunately
a regular cliche
in modern wrestling.
and oba handed bronzed reed to contract and bronzed reed cut a little promo on oba and signed it and and left and so they've signed their kind this is i can't wait to see this heated confrontation if they were that goddamn mad at each other for all that had gone on and oba was a baby face of days gone by then once he got him to sign the contract he'd have at least
tried to kick the shit out of it.
I, you know, it's just they're trying to draw everything out,
and it's so awkward, as I've mentioned,
so many times with the two guys just standing there
with nothing between them but error and opportunity.
Nobody in charge, no structure, blah, blah, blah.
But Oba can talk, so we're going to get to hear a lot from him,
I'm sure, from this point four.
And I'm not saying that a big start.
shouldn't get a bunch of live interviews,
but a big kick-ass fucking monster like Obafemmy
and he's going to come out,
he's going to give 10 minutes soliloquies.
I can just see it coming,
and I don't know that does him any good.
Do you see what I'm trying to say?
Again, I think this is one of the problems
with them still using the Vince McMahon model of WWRWA.
If you think about Flair in the 80s,
Hogan in the 80s,
Well, Flair's a little different, but let's look at Hogan.
That's maybe the best example, because that's a Vince McMahon star.
He was barely on those shows.
And when he was on the show, he didn't give 10-minute speeches in the middle of the ring.
And if he had done that every single week, it kind of would have diminished him, I think.
It wouldn't have helped him.
Oh, no, it wouldn't have helped Hogan to do anything other than exactly what he did.
And that was never a speak for 10 minutes straight in a fucking,
on a wrestling show. Yeah, the best case scenario was you may get a localized Hogan promo on the show
or see a recap of something he did. But typically, Hogan didn't wrestle on the shows,
and Hogan wasn't doing live promos in front of the fan. No one was. Well, and let me,
I know times have changed. Do you sound more wistful of the old days than I do usually here,
but I'm not saying, and you're not saying that you can't have Oba Femi on the show
more often than they had Hogan in the 80s
because times have changed
and you've got to have stars
in the main event and blah, blah, blah.
But the concept of not having
the, you know,
your giant attraction come out
and just drone on for 10 solid minutes
like everybody else
when it may not benefit him.
And you said it, stand there
opposite the guy who laid him out twice.
Yeah.
And no one was worried
about a fight breaking out or anything.
and just this whole way of doing it in this whole format
I don't think is great.
I don't think it does anything to boost Oba.
It doesn't hurt him.
He's still super over and it's a different animal,
but, you know, again,
there was a way to do this that was better.
I guess that's the point.
Oba does not also need to wrestle every week.
He doesn't need to be a guy that gets involved in a promo
at the first of the show that leads to the main event match
that they ended in a disqualification or whatever.
That type of thing he doesn't need to be a part of.
every so often if you have Oba Femi versus someone
or like we say you do Oba Femi and Javan as a team against
somebody where Oba's the big protector and Javans the
fiery young piss and vinegar baby face blah blah blah
but they just need to keep him a level above and not overexpose him
and here we had some nice
boringness. And I'm sorry if I'm overly cranky about this whole thing. I'm just sick of the
format of the show. And like you said, once you start looking at these things, I respect Jacob
Fatu and the Usos for what they're doing, I guess, that they're really good at doing what they're
doing. But I hate what they're doing, standing there with a camera right in front of them,
having this deep talk. Like, oh my God, I hope Hobbs doesn't hear this. Right in front of the camera.
Like, there's no reason for that. There's a way around that. It's laziness. And it's a
fucking relic of the Vince McMahon era.
I feel like Raw can get past some of these things.
And the two guys standing there with no interviewer
giving speeches to each other
doesn't seem like it does anything to boost the match,
and it doesn't. Thank you.
You're welcome.
And you've got my vote, Senator.
But that was the main thing about Raw this week.
They started out with an in-ring promo
with Jacob, Fatu, and the Uso's.
And as we said last, did the announcers explain it?
Because I skipped through the entrance to get to the guys actually speaking.
Did the announcers ever cover how Jacob got out of the trunk of the car?
Solo.
Fucking.
Huh?
They kidnapped Solo.
I'm sorry.
Oh, I forgot.
See?
I can't remember which one they kidnapped.
But then he's so he's still.
he's still missing.
Apparently, WW put up video
of him. I guess the
Hobbs group released him
somewhere on the side of the road or something.
He's free. They decided
they didn't want to try to
outrun the law forever. Let's just leave the guy
on the side of the road. That'll solve it.
Well, then why wasn't he in the goddamn
ring here when
the Uso's and Jacob were
screaming about?
Well, Jacob wasn't really screaming about
the Uso's were screaming about. I
little brother, our little brother.
He should have been back.
I swear to got more crimes committed on this show in the last month than any time in the last 10 years.
But here's the problem.
The Uso's, yes, I agree, they should have been reteamed after Jay had that brief little run
at the top, which was warranted by the popularity that he had gotten.
But we also kind of all called, as the office there did, that it wasn't.
really going to sustain at that level
because in the ring, you've only got
so much with Jay Uso.
But then they put them back together, and then the
nostalgia factor, very popular baby face tag team.
Then they have joined Roman
who's become a dick after he was a baby face,
but now he's a dick who's turned in most people's minds.
And they're the flunky
again, okay, that's fine, because
they've been there 20 fucking years or whatever, right?
Do some different shit.
But Jacob, this is the thing.
Jacob, what was it, a year ago,
a year and a half ago, has been two years ago since he came in,
but for that period of time,
until he just got derailed for whatever reason,
he was challenging for the world title.
He was a fearsome force that debuted,
and the people had turned him baby face almost immediately
because he was so cool, the Samoan werewolf.
He's wild, he's out of control.
He's the guy that was in prison,
and we didn't even want him to come here
because you can't control him, who knows what the fuck.
And now he's standing in the ring going,
well, I told you guys, he's there to little brother too.
I told you guys, every week,
I said, not tonight, but now I guess it's tonight.
He's not as over as he was as an individual.
He's got fire and he can work,
but I don't think the fans particularly care about this issue
when these guys have showed up from nowhere.
And they're burning cars and shit before people even know
who the fuck these guys are.
And I think the fans realize
they're really trying to shove these
fucking heels down our throat
and who the fuck are they?
But that's,
so then to close this interview
and I'll close my point,
an SUV pulled up in the back on the screen
and the Uso's and Jacobs see it,
oh, these motherfuckers are, they dive out
and they run to the back
and they go to the announcers for a second,
but then they go back to the back
where you see that they're ready to beat the shit
out of the people coming out of the SUV
and they level the fucking production assistant
that opened the door
and out walks a girl
that we've never seen before.
And they're confused and I'm confused.
And here's the thing.
Besides the fact that we say,
see this girl and we don't know who the fuck she is.
I just came to talk to Adam Pierce.
Why did they show it on the screen, Brian?
Why did the director say, oh, my God,
an unrelated potential talent is pulling up in the parking lot.
I got to cut away from this goddamn interview we're doing in the ring on national
television.
That's a very big question.
Phony is a fucking football bat.
But your thoughts on this opening.
segment. It was all right. It was all right. You know, I can't really complain too much about it. I thought the Uso's
were all right. You know, Jay Uso, a lot of times out there out of breath. He seemed to have some
breath. So you're saying it right now, the bar is set so low. If they don't stop breathing before the
end of the fucking segment, it's okay. It's all right. If he doesn't need an oxygen break,
I think that's success.
And then, like you said,
why are they filming a random car showing up
unless the NWO's about to jump out?
And then the baby faces all just run back there.
You still don't know who the girl is who got out?
Well, we didn't at that point.
Okay.
We're going to find out here to say,
I'm trying to be chronological here, son.
Well, I just didn't know if you actually found out.
I forgot if they actually said her name or not on the show.
Well, I found out whose side she's on.
I still don't know what to.
fuck her backstory or history is or whatever but i assume we'll be told that but nevertheless
that was the opening segment to go ahead that's jada parker from nx jada parker okay uh she's the one
who i don't think i'm talking out of a turn here i think it's public she's in a relationship with
j uso oh for god's sake so
was this
The reason his marriage dissolved?
Yes.
No, I don't know anything about his marriage.
I thought, well, one of a, wait a minute.
Which one's married to the girl that's pregnant?
Jimmy.
Huh?
Jimmy, Jimmy, so is married to pregnant Naomi, who's no longer pregnant.
She's now just Naomi again.
Just unemployed.
But so, but they're, they're okay.
But no, what I was.
trying to say was, did she get this job because she's Jay's girlfriend,
or she's, which came first, the chicken or the egg?
Now, to be fair, and I'm not a big NXT viewer,
and when I do watch it, I don't watch a lot of the girls' matches,
or women's matches, excuse me.
She's been in NXT a while.
I haven't heard that she's awful.
So maybe it was around time for her to be called up if they were going to do anything to her,
but the fact that she's...
I think we're going to do anything to her?
The fact of slotting her right into the main bloodline thing
does raise some arbros.
Oh, boy, howdy.
So, well, if she's good at whatever it is that she's going to do,
then we'll think it's a hiring based on merit.
And if she's like, K-fabe or B-Fab or whatever that girl's name is,
we'll...
So anyway, the point is that this starts...
at the beginning of the show
and besides Oba in the middle,
they had a couple girls matches
and a couple of regular matches
and they had a tag team match
that I watched the finish of
with Javan because I like Jvon
and apparently they
Jvon and
it was J.D. and Finn against Jvon and who?
Jvon and D.D. and Dom
versus Jvon and Penta.
Or J.D. and Dom, not Finn,
rather. J.D. and Dom versus
and that's why I didn't actually watch it
because Penta was in it, and I've had enough of him.
He was good.
Can I tell you?
I watched this because I really liked it a lot.
I thought this match was really good.
Javon Evans just gets better and better.
But they did an angle at the end, but they did an angle.
Did you see the angle towards the end in the middle?
Well, no, I just saw the finish that the baby faces won,
and I'm like, okay, yay, and I moved along.
But I didn't know there was an angle in the middle or an angle at the end.
I don't even know if you can call it an angle.
All of a sudden in the middle of the match, you hear guitar strumming,
and Joe Hendry's standing in the back with a giant
funko pop head next to him, because JD has a big head.
And he's, you know, strumming away trying to do one of his little
catchy songs, something about JD, I don't even remember,
but it was so lame.
And JD leaves the match to go halfway down.
Hendry doesn't even move, he just smiles at him,
and then J.D. runs back to get back in the match.
The match was good.
Joe Hendry has become one of my least favorite guys
and it's not even because of his in-ring talent
it's because of the gimmick which I hate
and then postmatch
Babyface's win
looked a little shaky at the end
Javan hits the cutter on Penta
because he jumped backwards and Penta got pushed
into the way
took his eye off the luchador
took his eye off the luchador looked like
there may be problems with Penta and Javon
but no, they overcame them, they get the win.
And then Braun Breaker hits the rig,
it kicks the shit out of him.
And that was great.
You want to talk about Braun looking impressive.
He kicked the shit out of it.
They look good.
I'm saying we need Javon Evans and Obafemi
against Bronn Breeder and Bronson Reed.
That's what we need,
and they would just tear the house down.
But nevertheless,
then at the end of the show,
we got to pay off from the beginning of the show,
where there was the Uso's and Jacob standing there
with Pete in hand because they ambushed the wrong SUV.
At the end of the show, there's like 10 minutes left on the air.
Here comes hoist keys and 946 is their number.
I don't know if that's their collective weight or area code,
but 946, they come down from the stands,
and here comes security.
And again, there's not one
fat 50-year-old fucking father
of four in the world
that is a security guard.
They're all young,
indie wrestling-looking fucks,
some of them with man buns.
And they have their hands out.
I don't even know what they're saying.
Like, no, come on, hey, hey, come on.
Like, they hold their hands out in the same position.
Which no security guard has ever done.
No real security.
body guard would do that.
No, especially no human being would stand there just motionless to go,
oh, please don't, don't come here.
My hands are up.
Raise your hands, Pilgrim.
And they beat up the security guards and quite roughly and with lack of regard for their physical safety,
I might add.
And then the Uso's music plays and here come the Uso's and Jacob and they get in a fight.
And it's, there's some awkward stuff going on.
The Uso's cleared the ring of the heels,
but the heels posted them and took over.
And then they fought into the crowd with the same response
that I was talking about.
We talked about the pay-per-view review.
The fans are just standing in
or taking a picture with their phone
or just standing staring or nobody is.
is even worried about getting out of the way of these wild fucking
the lunatics that might accidentally draw back and hit you.
I mean, I don't know what the fuck.
It's just, and the teams fought backstage
while hoist in the ring was beating up Jacob.
And then Jacob made a comeback and beat hoisa.
And then they all went to the back of the arena.
And again,
I know maybe somebody's been watching the
Tupleau concession stand braw videos on YouTube,
but this was long and redundant
by the time they got into the garage in the back.
And then the hoist jumped into an SUV
and slammed the door on Jacob as he was charging him.
That looked pretty good.
And as Jacob's getting up,
another car just appears
in the goddamn frame and runs Jacob over.
And there was an edit.
But at the same point,
I don't believe that
they found a stunt man
to look exactly like Jacob Fatu
with that physique. So I'm thinking
they pre-taped something somehow
to make sure
that it either didn't look like shit
or that they didn't run the man down
and turn him into a grease spot.
But a regular car runs over him
and he goes up over the hood and everything.
And then it was the same girl from the start,
Jada Parker, as you've identified.
And she jumps out, I'm sorry, I didn't see you.
I'm sorry, I didn't see you.
I'm thinking, what if I how,
you're going 30 miles an hour
in a fucking parking garage with guys fighting
and you didn't see them.
There's a brawl going on.
Let me drive right through it.
Yes, at a higher rate of speed
than what would be allowable by law in this fucking...
And then when Royce Keys walked up,
that's when she quit being sorry and said,
nobody's safe, and she got in their car and left with them.
Brian, here's the goddamn question.
She came in a chauffeur at SUV,
and she left in the fucking vehicle with hoist,
Whose car was she driving when she ran the fucking over Jacob Fatoon?
That's a good question.
Why did she pretend?
Why did she pretend like she was concerned?
For who?
So that way.
Swerve, bro.
Swerve.
No, that's what I'm saying to you.
This goddamn nonsense is fake, phony who shot John bullshit.
does it even make sense if you believed that these people would do these things?
In the last three weeks we saw a car lit on fire, a kidnapping, which technically is still unresolved,
and now a clear-cut case of an intentional running over of a wrestler.
Well, potentially also with Grand Theft Auto, because did she steal the car?
Whose car was?
Yeah, whose car was this?
maybe that could be her gimmick
like she could hot wire any cars
she can start any car
she can say I can start any man's engine
yeah I don't know and again
it's not like it's not known
that she's in a relationship with Jay Uso
so the idea they bring her up to the main roster
and turn her against them
to join this
Oh shit I just realized that she's with the fire
I thought yeah
I realized I was stupidly
I thought, oh, she's joined the group.
No, she's fighting the group.
She's running them over.
She got the job to fight Jay Uso,
when she became Jay Uso's girlfriend.
Is there this a lot here for Roman Rains to have to clear up?
Hopefully he'll come back and put his foot down sooner or later,
but this, it's just what in the world?
You know, I know they have their crack team of writers,
and let's be honest, I think,
was it, unreal?
Unreal. Unreal exposes it, but week-to-week television shows it. The writing team and the process behind it are just busted right now. But this felt more like AI. This feud has felt more like AI, give me a hot wrestling feud between two gangs. What would they do?
Ah, you know, I know they have fans who really like this shit, but raw, you know, to me, the highlight of the show is the Javan match. And then you got all this fatu.
and Uso stuff early in the show
and then late in the show,
Romans again disappeared.
That's why he wasn't in the PWA 500,
someone emailed me
because he didn't wrestle the required
10 matches in the year
to be considered eligible.
So he doesn't even wrestle 10 times in a year?
I don't know, that's just,
I'm sorry.
But that's it they've neutered the Samoan werewolf.
They took,
because it's just now, he's just where
rather than werewolf.
He's a secondary flunky
that had to acknowledge the guy again
and now he's trying to be the voice of reason
and with the hot-headed Uso's
and he's their little brother too.
So it just took all of his appeal away.
Well, there it is another banner episode
at WWE Raw.
But Jim, maybe what could help
all of these wrestlers or the creative team or
Jacob, he's going to have to heal up after getting run over.
Maybe they need help.
Maybe they need the right help.
And we know someone...
The right transition.
The right transition.
We're thinking of words and they're just not coming to us right now.
Jim, what about if all of these gentlemen and their lady can improve their health
with a great deal that you're about to tell them about?
Well, yes.
and to make it easier on them.
See, to make it easier on them.
Because right now, in this hurry, scurry world that we live in,
ladies and gentlemen, these guys are out committing attempted vehicular homicide
and grand theft auto and arson.
They don't have time to stay in peak physical condition,
taking a whole bunch of supplements.
You just got all the supplements and the ingredients and the whole routine morning,
noon and night.
It's just daily it's bottles and jar.
and cans and bailing wire and you're holding the whole thing.
You can't think of everything.
That's why our friends at IM8Health.com come in.
Because IM8 is the easy way to simplify your supplement routine.
16 supplements have replaced 90 ingredients across nine of your major organ systems,
all in one drink with IM8.
and by the way, that's not an organ system like Brian Last has.
That's the organs that you have inside you,
like your heart and your stomach and your liver and your kidneys
and your spleen, which you don't want to turn green,
and all the other organs that you have that comprise your guttle makeup,
they're in your gut there.
And leading doctors and researchers, I'll have you know, Brian,
have designed IM8
and 95% of the people who tried it for 12 weeks
felt more energy.
That's because you're getting all of the stuff that you need
without having to take it individually.
That just makes common sense.
That's why they made stew.
Because you get your meat,
you get your vegetables,
you get your salt,
you get your gravy,
all the food groups,
all in the same thing.
Well, it's right here,
this drink,
I am eight and you get all of the things you need for all of your organs and your
your livers and your kidneys and your spleens and all of those things all in one drink.
It's just, it's saving you time making your daily routine more economical.
You can see the sense in this.
I can see the sense in trying to improve your health and looking for a great deal to improve
your health, which you're doing it all at the same time.
You're helping everyone's health.
You're helping everyone's health.
If you go to IM8health.com right now and slash JCE, that's the code there.
IMAidhealth.com slash JCE.
If you use that code JCE, you are going to get a free welcome kit,
five free travel sachets.

to travel with and 10% off your order.
And at the same time, you will see all of the information on why drinking I AM8
is going to just basically make you feel swell.
Make you in fighting fit, fighting for air and fit for nothing.
No, I'm telling you, it's going to be a cocktail that will send you to the upper
stratosphere of people's health right now.
Because they're going to, it's liquid.
So when it goes down and it gets into your stomach and it goes into your organs,
it's just going to take over everything because it's just liquid.
And it'll just instantly immerse itself and you'll feel a change coming,
sort of like the pod people in invasion of the body snatcher.
That's sort of like that all.
You'll feel the change gradually and then sooner or later.
You'll be one of the healthier people on the planet.
You will talk in a monotone and have a.
constant thousand miles stare,
but you'll be healthier
than any of the human beings on the planet.
You won't have any of these problems.
They're funny problems to think about,
but not realistic problems here on everyday Earth
that you have to worry about.
Jim, I understand a great deal.
Every day Earth can get a great deal right now.
At IM8Health.com slash JCE free welcome kit,
10% off of your order,
and five free travel satchets.
Let me just do one thing to close out this spot
while you reiterate that information, Brian.
I'm going to use my American Heritage Dictionary
and look up what a fucking satchet is.
A satchit, not a fucking satchet.
Those could be two different things.
But of course, Jim, I-M-8.
We've got a great deal for everyone.
One more time.
And you are eight, and we are-a-one.
One more time.
I-M-8Health.com slash J-C-E.
use the code J-C-E.
for the free welcome kit,
the five free travel satchits,
and 10% off your order.
Hold on, I got Samba.
Samba.
Sacred cow.
I'm trying to get to satchet.
Satchett.
Let's say, A, B, C, C, D, F, G, H, J, K,
Sackerin, Satcham, Satchit.
Ah, a packet of perfumed powder used to scent clothes.
well that's nice
and they're basically telling you that you
five of those stink like a man
eaten from munda cheese in a septic tank of a slaughterhouse
and when you travel and you ought to
stick one of these in your fucking sack
so that it doesn't stink
so just tried to help it sounds
like a great deal
go ahead and get this fine drink to make you
healthier so apparently you won't have
any type of secretions
into your clothing and baggage
that smells like
goddamn
sewer system. Once again,
take care of yourself and
all your other items and don't smell much.
That's right. Good sense.
Don't stink. Good sense and have good sense.
Yes. Once again, I am eight.
I am eight health. That's how it goes.
I am eight health.com
slash JCE check it out and let us know what you think.
But Jim, a few more things
as we begin to wrap things up.
and we'll have more questions and stuff next week.
A lot of things going on
and really an incredibly detailed breakdown of the pay-per-view.
So questions and everything return next time,
the top list of wrestlers in their 30s.
I think I'm going to have a pay-per-view breakdown in my own
the next time they do one of these things.
But yes, more on that next week.
Jim, a bunch of listeners have sent this over.
Someone posted it in the Culticornaf Facebook group
and had a lot of comments.
So let me get your thoughts on this.
this was sent over, it's from an article in what culture.
Brian Cage admits steroid use.
Have I taken PEDs?
Absolutely.
I mean, it's not like that, thank you, Captain Obvious.
I think we could tell of maybe anybody in the world,
I think we could tell, but why did he feel the need to make this startling admission?
Yeah, the real news would have been,
if he said, I'm not on steroids.
Then everyone can go, what?
Let's go to this. This apparently is from
the Smooth Vega podcast,
whatever that may be.
And here's a quote from Brian Cage.
I'll even just throw this in too,
because I know people will all say this.
I don't care. I want to be more open about this.
Everybody goes, oh, you just take steroids.
If you just did a one-shot cycle, like I call it, like Captain America, guess what?
Jims wouldn't exist and everyone would be on steroids.
Do steroids work?
Absolutely.
Have I taken PEDs?
Absolutely.
I've never said I haven't.
People try to judge me.
I feel like that's a thing too.
People try to call you out as if you would keep it a secret.
have PEDs go me to where
I guess they left out a word or two here
have PEDs got me to where I am
absolutely not
and when people say
oh I'm so gassed up
even my return
I'm only on TRT
forever now
I'm 42 years old
TRT2
has been phenomenal
has been a game changer for so many people
as far as
not in the athletic realm,
but just in day-to-day practice.
Why everyone looks better, moves better, feels better,
everything.
And that's why they lower the classification.
For a while.
Let me stop there for a second,
because this is, at a minimum,
a defense of not just his steroid use,
but steroid use in general.
Where do you lie on this now?
I mean, we're so far past
the 1980s, and even, you know, the guys who didn't just use steroids, but steroids were part
of a combination of things that were almost a toxic cocktail for a lot of guys.
Should steroids be a taboo thing still?
Is it ridiculous to not acknowledge that, I would say, the vast majority of guys are on
something?
You could debate what it is.
but is it something that should still be taboo now?
Is it something that could be more in the open?
Will we ever see the day where a wrestler insults another wrestler on TV
by pointing out that they use steroids?
Like Phil Hickerson did all those.
We've already seen it 40 years ago.
God, all of these things, this is an essay question.
And there's no black and white answer
first of all, Brian Cage,
obviously, yes, we can tell.
Thank you for the admission, but we can tell.
But he is right.
You can't just take a shot or take numerous shots
if you don't work out and look like that.
He's put a tremendous amount of work and time
into his physique in the gym,
and nobody's saying that he hasn't.
You could do both those things.
You can put a ton of time in the gym
and take steroids,
those things can be true.
And the steroids will enhance whatever you do in the gym,
but you also have to have the genetics for it and the physique for it.
Some people could, you could hook them up to fucking the Eli Lilly plant or whatever
and put them in the gym for 20 hours a day.
They're still not going to look like that.
It's a combination of all those things.
But the problem is, it has been for,
30 years since they started investigating this.
Yes, steroids have a medical use to help people recover from injuries or
assist in muscle recovery or whatever.
But long-term continuous use is what the problem for the guys in the 80s and 90s was
because there was no off-seasoned in wrestling.
And you always had to look as good as you could look.
and I don't see Brian Cage having an off-season from looking like that.
So that may be an issue.
And also, in real sports, it is cheating.
You do get a competitive advantage if you use a potentially harmful substance.
And yes, it should be banned or prohibited or whatever in real competition.
wrestling is more showbiz, but at the same point,
unless I've just been misreading all these studies they've done for the past,
I don't know how many years,
steroids and PEDs may make you look better,
but it damages your body in terms of for wrestling
because it makes the tendons and the ligaments
and the things that connect the muscles more vulnerable
to tears. Yeah, that's why we started seeing muscle tears so much in the wrestling business in the late 80s and 90s.
Exactly. So if you're doing this to try to be better in wrestling, you may look better while you're doing it, but you're more susceptible to injury while it's happening.
So there's all these tradeoffs. And the point is that overuse, continuous use, use of certain things,
or in certain combinations has been proven that it will fuck up your heart.
It will fuck with your goddamn internal organs, whatever the case.
And I know now the testosterone replacement, it's not like the interview that Hercules
Hernandez did on Mid-South TV in 1984 where he said, 10 Diana Ball a Day while he's
hitting the double bicep, right?
They can say, oh, it's, it's, the science.
is farther and the stuff is advanced.
But if he's on
testosterone replacement therapy
for life and he's 42 years old,
the reason why he's on it is because he has
used so much other shit that his body
quit making it.
Correct?
I would think so. Yeah.
Is a normal...
That'd be a normal reason.
...year-old guy on testosterone replacement
therapy for the rest of his life?
I'm 46 and
I haven't needed it, so
you wonder what
So that's
the point I'm making
is that everybody can
justify what
and they do
whatever they want to do
in a worked business
it's not illegal
nobody's losing
money gambling
you're
you're only
potentially damaging
yourself
but that's why
that Vince had to
start that whole
process
of testing
and everything
because of the
publicity
that came from people
goddamn dropping dead.
Well, we have more.
So do we want to do that all over again?
Well, let's go back. We have more from this interview here.
I feel like there's very taboo things with PEDs where it's cheating, and people act like it
gives you all these magical abilities just overnight without doing anything.
And I feel like they're just looked at very wrong and definitely misrepresented.
and then also
I also said also by that logic
if you take the performance enhancing drugs
but also go to the gym then you're allowed to cheat
and be better than the guy that just goes to the gym
and doesn't do the performance enhancing drugs
in a shoot sport
and then also people act like they're so horrible for you
which again there's definitely health risks involved
I mean there's health risks with everything you do
and take.
But it's funny how,
oh, you take a steroid, you're going to die.
Oh, your heart's going to explode at 40.
Or this, that, whatever the case.
Oh, good God.
You ask somebody,
how many people do you personally know
have ever died from any steroid?
They probably aren't going to know anybody.
How many people do you know-
Don't ask me.
How many people do you know
have died from alcohol?
from cocaine, from this drug, from that drug, from this, from that, from freaking fast food,
copious amount.
But again, since that's normal, that's not looked at as bad as steroids.
So let's stop it because it went from a...
Oh, holy Christ.
It went from a defense to an advocation.
As Mama Cornett used to say, I think you doth protest too much.
that's that that's the issue is that yes other things can kill you but so can steroids now and again
you know if you don't care about the you know heart attack or enlarged heart or early death or
whatever the fuck and you just want to get as big as you can for as long as you're around
that's your right and that's fine and you know fuck everybody that is your friends and loves you
but you can't deny that, again, with what I just said,
besides in under intermittent supervised conditions for recovery after a surgery or an injury or whatever,
and then not trying to go for the bodybuilding and the fucking look of television.
If you're using steroids as a regular part of your bodybuilding,
overusing the fucking steroids. That's just, I'm sorry. And, and, you know, in one of these days,
your shit's going to blow up maybe, or maybe you won't. What do you think of the argument?
How many people do you actually know that it die from steroids? Well, that depends on who you're
talking to. If you're talking to a goddamn sister Bertreel in a nunnery, probably none. But if you
ask me, it's going to take me a while to write all these names down. That's what, that's why
it's some fucking idiot argument.
How many people did you know that was on the baton death march, Brian?
I don't know anyone.
Yeah, well, I understood it wasn't pleasant, though.
Well, Jim, we have another quote here from this interview.
Finally, Cage said that, despite what people thought, he never used steroids on the independent scene,
and the first time he used them was for a bodybuilding event.
Here's the quote.
I didn't even take my first shot until after my very first bodybuilding show.
It's actually after the show that I did it to post-show rebound
because my coach was like, oh, you should.
You should do it.
And I go, man, I don't know, I don't know.
And I had a real bad temper in high school and stuff when I was younger.
And that was one of the reasons too, why I never wanted to do it.
because of royd rage, which, also, sorry to tell you, it's kind of bullshit.
I've never had any sort of, if anything, I'd have more rage prepping for a show and just being hungry.
Now I think more with that, just like how some people could be fun drunks or asshole drunks or whatever else,
I think they just let their guard down.
you become more of an asshole when you're drunk
because you are just an asshole
and you go, oh, you justify being drunk
to be able to be a full asshole.
So I think it's the same thing.
What the fuck?
I don't even know what I just read.
What does that mean?
I don't know what he said either,
but maybe he doesn't have the roid rage,
but again, I can tell you a number.
I will mention names,
but a number of people who have had Royd rage
have told me that they were having Royd rage.
And those names would be quite recognizable
to the wrestling fans and probably not surprises,
but Jesus, H. Christ.
It finally concludes here,
and by the way, this article is written by Andrew Pollard.
Brian Cage returned to AEW action this past May
following a torn quad injury suffered in April 2025,
as well as returning to the ring
this June also saw Cage win
the men's open title
at the Muscle Contest International
Mr. Nevada Bodybuilding Competition
Jesus Christ, how do they put that on the marquee?
He most recently wrestled for AEW
on the September 5th episode of Collision
where he and Jake Doyle lost to the Youngbucks.
And he's added
90 pounds of fucking mud,
and he looks like a goddamn
cartoon character
and he's still getting beat by the two 40-year-old
teenagers.
Well, we'll see
if anything else comes to this. Again, a lot of
people are fascinated by this interview
and sent over these quotes.
It still is a
topic. You know, when guys
stand out like him, he's a neon sign
as they used to say.
Yeah, well, and also, there's
another thing that, and
again, I think, Sid,
had an element of this.
I'm trying to think what they call it
where...
Rohing chin.
Oh, what were you going to say?
No, no, no.
Listen to me.
These guys get a mental dependence
on how they look
and the steroids
and how they look and in the mirror
and because that time that Sid said
he'd been hurt for a couple weeks,
he didn't want to take his shirt off on television.
He still looked like goddamn,
you know, a statue,
but it's the way that
they see themselves
and that it is an insecurity
and that's a side effect
of the steroids also that a few of the guys
have told me
that, you know, you just
you over magnify in your head
that you're getting smaller
or that you don't look good
or you've got to make this better.
It's all part of the fucking steroid
thing that you're on in that mindset.
Well, we'll see what else comes to this.
I don't believe anyone is testing for steroids right now, are they?
Well, you know, I just always assume that the WWE had, you know,
had just always been doing this all along.
And now that you think about it,
nobody has said anything about steroid testing in a long time.
They test them for Black tar heroin or fucking whatever.
and they have them run through a battery of medical test
to make sure that there's no problems that they don't know about.
That's caught a couple people's issue, genetic issues.
That's why with PAC, he may have had a family history of anything,
but he went through those tests at that point in time.
But I don't know if AEW, if you need a, maybe the AEW guys get a like
the way I did the Midnight Express and me in Louisiana,
just fill it out yourself and sign the county coroner's name to the application.
Maybe that's their testing.
Do you think wrestling fans and just wrestling has to accept that this is unfortunately
coin of the realm now?
I mean, you look at any wrestling show pre-1984,
and you look at everything since then, everyone has a physique.
Would Lex Lugar even stand out as much as he used to if he was.
there today. He would stand
out because he was so incredible,
but he wouldn't stand out to the degree
that he wouldn't be so
links and brets away from everybody.
But I think there's a common acceptance
among top talent, or at least,
well, whatever, amongst a lot of talent,
that it's a cosmetic business
and you have to
look the role. That is not exactly
what Brian Cage is saying here, because the role
is these wrestling tag matches on collision.
Yeah. He's just, he's just, you know, he's got himself believing that he needs to be the biggest man in the world.
But I think there's something, you know, to that, the idea that, you know, it is a cosmetic industry. And unfortunately, that's always been a WWE thing, especially where you kind of have to have, I mean, there are very few guys I could just rule out. Kevin Owens, I could rule out.
Yes. Otis, maybe. You know, I could rule out.
Yeah, well, and see, that's the thing is my instructions to the talent has always been,
you're playing the part of a professional athlete you've got to look like.
And I would always follow that with, don't take fucking steroids.
I'm saying you need to look like a professional athlete, not a professional bodybuilder.
And everybody knew what Vince was looking for and what his predilections were and who he hired.
and you know but my only criteria amongst guys that ever worked for me or I was involved
with training or whatever is it's not like the old territory days where the fat guy could
fucking have a pretty good spot you've got to look like a professional athlete and that
Bronson Reed I had no problem with him even before he lost the weight because he looked
like a goddamn big mean professional athlete that would kick the shit out of
He didn't look like a goddamn basketball player,
but he looked like somebody you wouldn't want to fight
in some type of combat sport.
Because people sell,
you Cornhead, you knock Mason Rook.
You wouldn't like Yokozuna or Dusty.
No, two different fucking things.
Number one, Dusty, when he got over,
and when he first got into business,
was about probably 70 or 80 pounds lighter
than he was in the 80s.
But secondly, Yokozuna looked like he ate people.
for lunch.
Mason Rook looks like,
goddamn,
as we mentioned,
Chas Bono.
So that's not what I,
my criteria has always been,
if you look like an athlete,
if you look like the part
that we are trying to,
the role that we are trying to get you to play,
then that's acceptable.
And then you make your own decisions,
but I personally never thought it was worth it to anybody
to fucking,
stick fake monkey hormones up your ass.
You know, with all that said,
and my love of baseball
and the history and the stats and everything else,
I love the steroid era of baseball.
It was so much fun.
It was so much fun.
It was great.
And now, you know, we all look back on it,
and, you know, they were cheating.
But there's always been cheating.
There were always cheaters, and we can't say who the first steroid guy was and who the last one was.
You know, it's just, it's all bunched into that, but I guess my point is, just that I like the steroid era of baseball is really hard.
In 1998, 1999, 2000, those were fun years for baseball.
Are all those guys still alive?
I believe the majority of those guys, I'm trying to think of anyone who's died of, like, that core group of, like, all-stars.
then again, they were using it to gain a legitimate competitive advantage not to look
cosmetically like bodybuilders. And they were kind of trying to keep it on the down low, if
possible, that they were doing it to begin with. So they didn't want to be a neon sign.
Right. Although Mark McGuire was bigger than any wrestler. And it stood out because he was
skinny as could be when he first came up to the majors. And all of a sudden he was gigantic.
It was like dynamite. And I remember, and that's how everybody started. So, well, what the
fuck's he doing? And that's what, see?
He is somebody, one of the boys got to spoil it for everybody.
He stooge himself off.
If you remember, he was being interviewed at his locker and everyone suspected things.
There were a lot of rumors about the guys that came out of Oakland, Jose Konseko, and he
confirmed it all.
And Mark McGuire had a jar of, I want to, was it Andostein?
It was one of these like GNC supplements.
And he had it there.
And that triggered someone looking into what it was.
and that was at a time where G&C sold a lot of crazy shit.
A lot of crazy shit that was later outlawed.
The FDA doesn't monitor any of that stuff,
and there was certain stuff at a certain point.
They're like, you know what?
You can't sell this anywhere in the United States again.
So he divined himself with doing an interview in front of his open locker.
That's right.
And that kind of triggered everyone looking into what it was.
And I remember Bob Costas when you were at the All-Star game,
when just, again, everyone was having amazing seasons.
the ball is juiced
and so are the players
but Jim will stay on top of the
steroids and wrestling talk in the future
one final thing here
and actually before we get to that
a headline on the news I don't know if you would know this
maybe you do
you and I talked about this off air
the headline on CNN
six flags to permanently
close X2 coaster
after CNN investigation
I was just reading an article on this
two days ago, three days ago or whatever
they had the
where was the location out in California
they've got some roller coaster
they'd had like a hundred brain injuries
of people on riding this roller coaster
including they showed pictures of people
with horseshoe scars on their shaved skulls
where they'd had their brains operated on
from riding a fucking roller coaster
which I was never a fan of and never willingly cooperated with
and don't see why anybody does,
but I know a lot of people do,
and they don't usually have to have brain surgery afterwards.
That is crazy, and it happened to so many people,
and now they're closing it,
although I doubt that will mitigate the lawsuits
that are coming and are already started.
Just remember, ladies gentlemen,
if you need to sue, call Stephen P. New.
Jim, one final thing here this week.
This is a story that broke over the last day.
Want to get your thoughts?
Forbes, in an article by Alfred Canua,
reports WWE Partners with WBD's Bleacher Report
in a global content deal.
To control the global content.
They pushed this pretty hard on Raw last night, too,
like it would mean anything to the general public.
Like this kind of thing means anything to the person at home.
No one's cheering like, oh, they did it.
Bleacher Report, WWE, all right.
But any opening thoughts before I read any of this?
Well, the thing, aren't they?
They're pretty much trying to control the means of production around the world.
Any media, they've got the WW radio, they've got serious,
they've got all these streaming contents that are now being folded under one umbrella
of these massive corporate mergers,
so they're just trying to take everything over
so everybody that talks about them,
they know what they're saying, right?
That's what it seems like.
Let's go to this article here.
WWE has agreed to a multi-year content partnership

Bleacher Report will hold global highlight rights
across WWE's programming slate,
including Monday Night Raw,
Friday Night Smackdown,
NXT, and WVWE's,

brand and their associated
social and digital platforms
BR
will also have a ringside
presence
at select PLEs
read the press rules
And several of
several of the people in the office
will get to be lumbering
lumberjacks in a lumberjack match.
I believe that's where I used to buy the AEW pay-per-views,
BR Wrestling or BR Live, whatever, it was Bleacher Report,
so that's where I used to get the pay-per-views before Amazon Prime opened up.
Bleacher Report is owned by Warner Brothers Discovery
through its TNT Sports Division.
WBD is in the midst of a controversial,
sea-changing merger with Paramount.
on the heels of last week settlement
of Paramount WBD's litigations with 12 states
the increasingly possible merger
a Paramount WBD cleared a major hurdle
though U.S. District Judge
whatever their name is here
recently questioned the proposal settlement
as a $111 billion
acquisition hangs in the balance
they have not ruled on that as of time of reporting here.
He goes into some speculation.
Oh, here's a video of Triple H promoting Ari Emanuel's book.
That's a good ass-kissing move right there.
I've ever seen one.
You know, that's something that we've been sorely missing in wrestling also.
Triple H starting a book club.
Obviously, W.W.E is going after every media deal they can.
They want to lock down everything.
They want to dominate the market.
They want to own the market.
They want to monopolize the market.
They want to make sure that competition like AEW can't find a home or any other competition that should ever arise.
Well, you know, this is kind of sounding familiar.
It's the exact same thing going on from their buddy in the White House.
Own all of the media.
Don't let them tell the truth about you.
Tell them what you want them to know.
It's what Vince did.
You know, Ari Emanuel in his book was talking about how Vince told me what he did.
He saw a suture and he went after everyone and he locked down the industry.
agree. Ari Emanuel pointed out in that book,
he owns wrestling now. That's the way he thinks about it.
Brandon Thurston, who owns WrestleMania, or at least I think he does, and he's part of
post-wrestling, he put on Twitter, a WBD spokesman emphasized the post-w wrestling
that the new deal between WWE and Bleacher Report doesn't displace any existing agreement
held by AEW.
A similar deal for AEW highlights
doesn't exist
though such a deal could be made in the future
we were told
unless there's no exclusivity
is that what we're being told here?
WWE did this deal?
Right now, I bet you that this merger
and the efforts to block it
and nobody's been able to make concrete plans
because they didn't know what the lay of the land was going to be
there's a lot of right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing, I bet you at this point.
And I'm sure that, you know, with the long tentacles that this new conglomeration is going to have,
that AW interests and WWE or TKO interests are going to coexist under that giant umbrella for a while or sometime or whatever,
depending on what they are.
but when you're talking about this fucking shark,
Ari Emanuel and Nick Kahn and all of these Hollywood muckety mucks
and this giant $25 billion conglomerate that they're at the head of
and then you got Tony Kahn and his dad
and this off-brand wrestling show and there they're trying and he's a nice guy
who's going to fucking in five years or ten years
who's going to be in charge of everything and who's not
it's kind of fucking a foregone conclusion at this point
you know I mean Tony will be there
the question is where he'll be and how he'll be doing it
here's a quote from Tony Khan
does it say where this is from
it was on one of his media calls I believe he's been talking about it
Tony Kahn about David Ellison, who's the chairman and CEO of Paramount,
this is somebody who loves professional wrestling and loves sports.
He's somebody I've worked with in the National Football League,
whether it's NFL films or now, CBS,
and the great partnership with the NFL.
This is a great TV producer, a great film producer,
and somebody I think is going to be a great leader for Warner Brothers,
just like he is for Paramount.
Well, Tony,
uh,
saying everybody Tony knows is great and he's friends with all of them.
We don't get a lot of people making comments on what they think of Tony
con, do we?
We, uh,
do not, no.
None of these families,
the wrestlers, yes,
I'm talking about these,
these high-ranking officials and various foreign dignitaries that
Tony knows.
We don't get a lot of quotes from them about Tony.
We just get quotes from Tony about them about how great friends
they are and how they're nice guys.
The way Tony has been talking about this,
if AEW comes out of this where they don't have a TV deal,
and that's the best case scenario,
because Warner Brothers Discovery or whatever you want to call the company
at that point decides that they're not going to do a deal with them,
these quotes are going to look really fucking bad.
Because this isn't the only one.
There were other quotes out there.
He's been talking a lot about this.
and if they dump AEW, these quotes are going to look really bad.
And here's another thing.
The Ellison family is buying this in large part to get CNN under control
so they don't keep telling the truth about Schittler.
And who is in bed literally with Schittler?
But the McMahon family and the TKO family and the various fucking people there.
Hold on.
there were reports that Ari and I think even Rahm Emanuel were a part of whatever you want to call it,
the lobbying effort on behalf of the Paramount deal that were talking to Trump about making the deal.
Ari Emanuel used to represent Trump when he had the apprentice, I believe.
So you want to talk about Ari Emanuel.
Read that book.
Do you really think he's going to let AEW exist?
and he's got power up to the White House.
I mean, he's in the middle of these deals.
He's in the middle of helping make the merger happen.
You think the other side of the merger it's going to be,
oh yeah, leave that other wrestling company there.
I don't know.
At this point, I'm going to be surprised of AEW comes away with this
and one year after the fact they're in as good a position as they are today,
but I don't know, it's not looking good to me.
you know what they can't buy brian they can't buy you and me
we'll always be out here spreading the truth and telling the people what's going on
and the herpes occasionally but that that's under control now
oh congratulations this is news that we're breaking here on the show
well yes i'm taking it i'm taking a new medication i just hope it doesn't cause me
cancer of the taint all right well with that where is uh
here
Oh, there we go.
There we go.
My number one.
I can't help.
Oh, it was drums.
Okay, well, a shambolic ending to a wonderful episode of the drive-through gym.
Before we get out of here, why don't we get a song or two?
It's been a little while.
Let's play a song.
Play a song.
This one was sent by Steve Ibarra.
He sent one before on the show, but let's go to this one right now.
Great audio, obviously.
Oh.
What's that?
Is Andrade Am, baby, that's for sure.
You'll see his body when his pants fall to the floor.
Hey, you know.
Paid women at ringside.
He'll thrill them with delight.
Tony paid them to be hyped to pretend they know this guy.
Oh, my God.
I think the low
You say he's cool
He's a fool
Samigavar punching sound
Go back to Lucha on
I think the low tech
lack of production value on that even added to it
You know the lyrics were good
If the lyrics had sucked her
Who was just really lame
It would have died
But it all came together
A bigger hit than anything
The Yardbirds had here in the States
I think
But there it is
Stevie Barra, thank you. That is tremendous. Let me just make sure. Yep, we got that there.
One more, Jim, before we get out of here, because that went well. This doesn't always go well.
We have a song submission from Stefan in Auburn, Maine. Let's see what this is.
That was the second week of the last stampede. Your thoughts before we move on.
I don't know if favorite is the right word, but of all the stipulations,
for the last stampede, which one did you mind the least? The baby bottle, the diaper, the dress,
whatever it may be. Which one was the least bothersome to you?
I liked the dress, and I'll tell you why, because the goddamn diaper and the baby bottle,
not only would they squirt me with the bottle and do all the disgusting things, like dog
would take a big mouthful and give me the big working dog kiss and spit it at me.
door I tell you Jimmy I've got something in store
oh he's on
I saw the safety pin in cowboys hand
now now the diaper's dawn
but also they had the giant gimmick
comedy-looking safety pin
made so everybody could see at the big building
and Watts would stab me with it to get just a little bit to get me to sell you know not
drawing blood or anything a stipulation went off just his plan look like less of a man
milked in his mouth between the cypress dawn from infantiles to aught to Jerry
oh where was the the second week of the that was the third time
I saw the Loch Ness Monster.
Wow.
You know, I said you don't know what to expect from Stefan of Auburn, Maine.
Usually it's a complete shit show.
But every now and then,
like Sunny King doing a promo,
every now and then,
one of them hits Just Right.
What'd you think?
Just right. That was tremendous.
Neil Young better watch out.
He's got nothing on Stephen.
Well, there it is.
