Yeah, a good problem. I mean, in a good way, it's like you get to be in the machine and carry the torch. Yeah, it gets an honor and it's a blessing for me. And my brother, Sam, you've been your business since your whole, keeping things in cahoots, keeping the marathon going, keeping the legacy of Nip active and live. His shoes are not easy to fill up. Like Bro said, we got an obligation.

So I'm honored you be able to do that. Crack always got the stories with me. Before Nip actually, when he was still making his bones, and still putting in his work before he actually blew, I knew about them early, so I wanted to do some work with him. And even with you, you always show me a lot of my go about a marathon. I mean, I needed some bud before the plane. He gave me enough to open enough shop with. Like, Sir Sam, I need something. I got a flight and dug out. He came back with the mother loan of him.

I just actually finished. You were bringing it on the plane? Did I? Could you? I'm just saying, could you? Sure, dude. It's like legal war? Sure.

He gave me in and Kelly. I just finished it in my grit. Steve Lobel gave me a whole bunch of fucking weed. I don't even fucking smoke. Nah, I told the nigga, they can keep that shit over there. I was like, yo, I ain't going through TSA with that shit. I said, no, I'm a eye.

I met your brother with Steve Lobel. he was young, young, young, young, young, young. He was in the Bronx with us hanging out. It's so weird, we ain't got pictures of that because I seen one of his men's over here, too, that was out there. And, man, I met him mad young. When he was mad young, I thought he looked like Snoot.

Right? I was like this, and they was telling me, yo, he's going to be a star. He was mad, cool. We hung out with him. And then the rest is history. You know, we just cross paths all the time, you know, different parties, different situations. And he always was intelligent to me, very, very smart, very, very aware and business savvy. You know, shit, he wasn't talking about what niggas is talking to me about in the party.

He's talking about some other shit. Yo, this, you ever heard of the Black Godfather music? Clarence, Y, I'm like, yo, my man. Nick, I barely party. He's talking that smart shit in the party. And so, uh, salute to him. And, um, and so you out here rolling this up, you know, as an executive, tell us how y'all linked up and why you felt, you know,

want to come out here. We made it feel time to release the project. Well, you know you got to come here to promote it. No, no, I'm just saying, coach, I'm sure you can. get in you outside, you selling burgers, you're getting 36,000 demos a day.

Like, he can't even go. This ain't one of the host projects. This is the in-house family. I understand, but how did this come about? And why did you say, y'all, I'm going to go out there and I'm going to show my face and I'm going to co-sign this project

to the highest level because I'm sure, you know, everybody and their mother probably telling you made a next nipsey hustle or some shit like that. So this project is something that Brod, the Hustle did with Bino, and Hustle gave it to me a while ago after a victory lap. Basically, like, bro, it's the next project.

Like I told a couple people before, like, anytime I get music from Bro, I know it's a masterpiece. They don't want to hear what I got to say and critiquing it. He's like, man, watch you. This is done. So when I get it, I'm excited. And I'm like, all right, this is, it's over. He's like, yeah, this is just the album, tell me what you think.

So I listen to it. And as the team, and we're going crazy. And so that's this project, everything that happened. It didn't come out. And at the time, the family and the team, and me personally, I'm like, I don't even want to talk about music. You know, you know how people that's not part of the family or the team close. Like, oh, it's the best time to drop.

You've got to do it now. And you want to hear that. And Beano and his team, they like, bro, whenever it's right, it's here. And so nobody did, nobody leaked nothing, nobody put nothing out. It's just, you know, when the time is, right. So I think maybe about what, like a year ago, we kind of reached out to everybody and they team like, man, what you guys think? They're like, man, let's go. And so I just felt like it may be the right time to listen back to the music and let's figure this out. And so

that got us here, you know, sat down with everybody, the producers, Beano, Beano team, out the blue and all money in. Our whole team came in with all hustle producers and everybody just re-listened to the project. He had already sequenced it together. with Beano, they picked the artwork. It was really ready to go. And so we just kind of, they had already sent it to Ali to mix a master. So it was kind of like just,

let's look and see is it any pieces that could be missing? And then Hustle had some old songs on a playlist, and then they had some old songs, and I got insight from them. They're like, No, Hustle was thinking about, Wino was thinking about putting these songs on this project. So I think we may have added like three or four to the original sequence

and then this is what it is man but I'm excited to your point this is not us going and getting anything new. This is a project that Hustle and Bino did together. He handed this music to me and just appreciative that we can be releasing it right now to

the public. And I know Bino got so much more stories about the bits and up. Yeah I'm saying like what made Nipti see the talent in you and say it's one of the ones, niggas. I mean, honestly, bro, I asked myself that. I had to stop asking myself that.

You know what I'm saying? Like, when we linked, you know, it was me and my bro tight. You know, we was trying to do this music thing. Of course, we saw Sam and Nip and All Money End just, you know, the whole campaign, the marathon had been, that been a thing. So we was fans of it, you know? So we always wanted to carry ourselves, you know what I'm saying, conduct ourselves a certain way in this music.

So we always said if we had to link up with anybody, you know, it would be, you know, all money in, for sure. It would be Nip, you know what I'm saying. One day we got that call, bro, off my bro. Shout out Casey Veggies off Casey Funk. And he called me and it's Nip. You know what I'm saying? So I'm like, damn.

Like, if I put up to the studio, we're there every day after that. You know what I'm saying? It's just constant workflow. Next thing you know, you know what I'm saying? He's liable to come out. Let's just do this tape, you know? It just happened like that. Dagnically.

As to why he believed or he, you know what I'm saying? Trust me enough to do that. I don't know, bro. Because you, you. I appreciate that. I appreciate that. I appreciate that. I appreciate that.

You chose you. That's real. That's real. But, you know, YG was over here last week. And YG said the same type of shit. Like, like you just, they just connected, went in the studio and started banging out music. Like, he was like, yo, Nipsey was like that. He just showed up to the studio and we just started working.

And that's great that you got. I ain't got none of that shit. Ain't no B-N-No nowhere pulling out Fadjo died a day. It ain't no album nowhere. guys. I ain't got no extra music or nothing. That's just pretty incredible that you got a whole project

that you came over. She was already done. That's fine. They just had to do a little bit of tweak and that's like a blessing within a blessing. Yeah. I mean,

like bro said, we was prepared to, you know what I'm saying, follow up with this after the victory left, you know, so, you know, everything happened,

how I happened. You know, do some shows you're going to do? I'm with all of that. You know what I'm with every, I feel like possibilities is endless. now that we're putting the music out, you feel me, we got over that hump, but even us

giving the fuck to even get here, you know what I'm saying, or even being in the right head space. So, you know, we're here now, so we'll see where it's taking. I remember when I was out there, we was talking, you was telling me, Marathon expansion. Yeah. You're coming over. You're coming on this side.

Yeah, yeah, we got something on Times Square. We're working on it right now, man. You tell you some, you're selling a lot of burgers because that shit about $150,000 a month, that motherfucker rink. on Tom Square. Man. You know, I know the rents, man.

That shit a whole lot over there. Yeah, we got lucky, man. One of our guys that we know that was real close with bro, had an opportunity. And he called on the same thing. I'm like, man, I don't know if we can afford that right now. And he's like, look, I'm grandfathered in. I got a situation.

I got a... Wow. I got a least that's, you know, where it need to be. I'm like, what... I'm like, how much is it? He told me. I'm like, all right, let me pulling up. So, you know,

God be throwing things in our laps, really. And so when I seen where it was, too, I'm like, oh, this is a no-brain. So you end up doing a certain situation, and you're remodeling it right now. We're going to open it up. But to your point, it ain't going to hang us with the price. That shit. I went looking, because you know, I own sneaker stores, I went one time looking at that shit.

I was like, you know, guess what? We can't sell enough sneakers. This shit. Right, right. His shit, out of control, $150,000 a month. We got the hook up for $120. I'm like, niggas ain't buying them sneakers like that. This shit's out of year.

We ain't doing that. But it's good that you found a great spot. Actually, is beyond a blessing. And why, out of all things, you chose a restaurant or like a burger joint to open up as a business venture? I think everything for us, it'd be kind of like organic and natural. and when we get signs, I always, from, you know, hustle myself, our team,

we always want to just activate on the signs. So we're doing clothing, and our whole team was kind of watching this smash burger. Explosion. Shout out the Trilburger. Yeah, for sure, Trill Burger was. Tril Burger got some good-ass burgers, too. You never had a marathon?

I never went to marathon. I never been able to go. Trill was one of the inspirations. You're watching them, and then we're seeing all the things that they're doing. So we, like, man, we got to get one of them. So I think at ComplexCon, we got some of their stuff. And then we just seeing it go on the internet. And then we just start going on the tour, on a burger tour, our team.

What we're doing for lunch, we all go. And we just organically rating them, like, which one you like the best? I like, they meat better, but they bread. I don't know. I like that bread. And then we're talking and something just hit. I'm like, man, we do. to make our, we need to make a marathon burger,

like what we like about that, that, that, that, and add our twist. And then once we start thinking that, I'm like, I just remember, you know, Hustle used to work at a restaurant. And then Hustle did something with the fat burger. He wanted to name it a marathon burger. He was always talking like, man, we need to do this, do this. I'm like, this what we're going to do.

And so once that, once that happened in our head, we was like, this shit bankrupt us. We're going to get this, we're going to get this first one off, regardless. We got that motherfucker off, at least his, grandbys, I was watching us. Damn, they put that shit out the park, which is great. Because a lot of times

when, and the artist passes away, you know, their family are left there like don't know the business or don't know where to take it or don't know where to. So we got to commend you for being a great businessman to keep the legacy forward because

you can't expect everybody to just know how to create a business or keep a legacy going. And what y'all been able to do has been pretty amazing to watch. You know, and so we've been watching you, man. And y'all been doing your motherfucking thing. And the burgers look good. Fadjo got, you know, I got to come through and just, because I'm Fad Joe, I invest this

shit by here. Tell us about the docu-s series. I got a docu-series coming. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, we've been working on that, man. We've been working on that for a while. That's the most important thing. For us, it's going to be like eight or nine episodes.

And just to cement legacy and put things, you know, etchered in stone. We've been hearing me personally, man, I've been just hearing all type of slander and felonious bullshit. You know what I mean? So just keeping me sane and not going on, everything. It's like, man, we work. And when this come out, it's going to be like that. This is what it is. This is come on, man.

It's documented, man. We got hustle. We got, we really been blessed, man. We got hustle on every stage, like what bro was saying, like, young, we got hustle. When he first learned how to make beats, when he had a ball fade, when he was a teenager, we got footage from everything. And it's documented in this. I know what y'all got. We, you know, so that's kind of like the main focus for me in the team is like, we got to put this one down. And this just tells just the whole journey. It's there. And I'm like, oh, then, that's right. Yeah. I forgot. Y'all don't even really know that. Yeah, yeah.

Yeah. Can we expect that? Y'all still working on it? Yeah, it's almost finished. I think, you know, our shit has got shelf for a minute, and we're coming out the pocket trying to keep it going ourselves. And then we just got Allen Hughes to come on and help us executive produce it. So it's close.

like, hey, we can do things with things. We just did someone backwards too. And so just add a value to the brand at the highest level is kind of what we're trying to do right now.

Let me ask you something. You was growing up with Nip, who was some of the artists that really inspired them? What's the CD or the cassette that y'all cracked open? Y, I listened to that shit a hundred times in the world and was like, yo, this shit crazy. Nip was a connoisseur of music, hip-hop. So, you know, Shet, you know,

Hustle put me on all New York music. I mean, Hustle used to spend the lunch money, spending money and go buy the source magazine and I'm like, bro, let's just go look at it. He's like, no, nigga, I got a hat. It's in the house. So I listened to music. You know, I was three years older than,

so when we were younger, I'm thinking I'm running things, but he was the blueprint as far as what I would listen to. If he didn't co-sign it, I'm not even listening to it. So just when you say that, it's all everybody, you know, all New York, Niles, Big, Jay, Fat Joe, Jay, DeKis,

You know, Hustle had a lot of respect and, you know, admiration when he was young. And so DMX, really everything. Hustle put me on most deaf. Hustle was just anything dope. He was a fan of talent and he was a fan of artistry, you know, and authenticity. So even with-Bino. You say it's like us. You say all that shit.

I remember I used to go to L.A. The Crenshaw and Slaus and nigger. Like I thought I was in a chronic like a motherfucker. I'm riding around L. Like, make my bud to promise. I gotta get fucked up. You know what I'm saying? I used to run out there.

Like, now I'm more boozy. Now I'm in the Beverly Hillside. But, you know, when I was younger, the guy who used to drive me around L.A., who was like my rap for L.A. was a big boy. You know, one time he used to work for my record label. Well, the record label I was signed to, the nigga used to drive me,

and he used to sell with me to burn the phones, all type of shit. So I'm all over the hook with big boy and fuzzy. Them niggas took me every... And I used to tell them all the time. I was like, I must have wanted to die. Yo, take me to the slaughter to swap me. They'd be like, you want to go there?
