Starting point is 00:00:45 It's not just a game. It's your culture. I like watching it with my dad. It's a connecting force. From Futuro Studios, I'm Fernanda Chavari, and this is American Football, a show about soccer culture in the U.S. and its underdog roots. Listen to American Football on the IHeart Radio app,

Last night, a blown call changed a game. This morning, the internet lost its mind. And nobody's telling you exactly what happened. That's where Sports Slice comes in. I'm Timbo.
Starting point is 00:01:53 In every episode, we're cutting through the noise, breaking down the biggest moments in sports and giving you the real story behind the headline. And we're going straight to the source, the athletes, themselves, their locker room stories, their reactions in the moment, and the stuff nobody gets to hear. That's what we're complaining about. How do we go from the furniture on sale to the new Ferelle Louis Vuitton? Because he's got, why is it all this thing?
Starting point is 00:02:27 We don't get nothing. We don't get nothing. So what do you want? Like, what do you want? Everything. I want something. Hold up as Father's Day. We got the princess in the door. Come on. Ow! Yo, but let me ask you a question, right?
Starting point is 00:02:59 Because the disrespect is at an all time. By the way, the gag is that he was eating breakfast for too long, and I couldn't leave because you were taking too long. And that's why I was late. Oh, see? Now, let me explain. I got to extend breakfast. I woke up and she had
Starting point is 00:03:17 She was there with the Glam Squad. She not once told me I'm coming to your show. Nothing. Nothing was discussed. I don't know where she's going. She said an interview. She didn't even say your show. She didn't love.
Starting point is 00:03:29 That was the point. You told me your dad that you were coming here? You know, but shouldn't I fucking, maybe I would have wore a dad clothes or something. They told me that it was a surprise. So I was like committed. Yo, Danny, you should have told me I had wore a dad clothes. It is a surprise. It is a surprise.
Starting point is 00:03:46 I'm over here. I'm over here talking about Thucy B. So excited to see your daughter. My daughter walks in. Yo, that shit crazy. What's up? As he got your own podcast, right?
Starting point is 00:04:01 I do. Yeah. How's it going? It's going great. It's a lot of work. It's a lot of work. That no one talks about. It's a lot of work.
Starting point is 00:04:09 You work hard too. You think you work hard. Yeah. He got a podcast coming with Biggie's son. She's a lot. That's a fact. Oh, it's work, man. A lot of work.
Starting point is 00:04:20 A lot of work. A lot of work. You know, there's some bullshit right here. This Father's Day. They work. Let me tell you something. As far as day, you're making a couple of dollars,
Starting point is 00:04:32 correct or not? I know where we're going with this? You know what we're going with this? Oh, hey. Are you making a couple of dollars? Yes or no. Me, I do. Make a couple of dollars.
Starting point is 00:04:43 You make a couple of dollars. Are you going to buy your father up here? underwear is a socks this year again? Or are you going to get them something? Like, I don't really know. That's a good question. No, you're going to get me socks and shit again. I should probably get you something.
Starting point is 00:04:59 Rail socks. Screwdrivers. A little toolbox. Electric drills. This house is so spore you. When it's their birthdays, you know, Birkin are better. This shit, man.
Starting point is 00:05:13 It's not even a burke. You know, Burking was a big deal. I got to be the crock extinct birthday. Birken with the lion on the fucking bag and the bells and with. Like, it's out of control. You got to go sauce it. Sauce it. You got to go kiss ass.
Starting point is 00:05:31 Yo, you got to go in Hermes if you're lucky enough and beg them for hours and don't leave. And be like, yo, I be going in there and I don't leave. I be in there, you'll take another coffee. I'll take another. Yeah, I really go. it's my daughter's birthday. It's my wife's that I gotta have it.
Starting point is 00:05:52 No, no, no, no. Eventually, when they want to kick me out, they'd be like, well, Joe, we got something that somebody was supposed to get. They didn't pick up. And that's when they bust it out. And I'd be like, oh, no, that's what I want. I need that right there. But the point is, I'm probably going to get a fucking pair of socks
Starting point is 00:06:10 and a Tabasco source for fucking Father's Day. Yeah, me too. You two? You're lying. You're lying. Have you ever got your dad some, a pair kicks, something? Did. Goyard?
Starting point is 00:06:26 Yeah. Goiard? Yeah. Well, you got me a goyaub bag, right? I actually did. I'm sure I paid for it. Oh, you played. This is actually a fact.
Starting point is 00:06:34 I did. I thought you an exclusive. I should have word today. It's a Tiffany Blue Goiard that they only have overseas. Actually, you played. Pull it up. Pull it up. Pull a picture up. You played.
Starting point is 00:06:44 I want to say, hallelujah. Hallelujah. Jesus is Lord, two-time. A felon got some normal kicks on. Jesus is Lord, we don't have the esprit drills in front of us. He got the fire on the Newbells. What does he usually wear? Leakers.
Starting point is 00:07:01 What is that? Leakers. You're supposed to know all that. Well, it must not be fashion then. Aye. Too-ta. He's actually a nice guy. You balance my dad.
Starting point is 00:07:16 Oh, yo, let me tell you something. He said his PR. He said I'm a feeling. I've seen you guys go get that award, man. You guys, man. You guys looked good. I was happy for you guys. And then you act surprised like y'all thought we wasn't going to win.
Starting point is 00:07:30 Y'all was like, yes, we won. And then James do shit very, uh, Jada Kish, Fad Joe fashion. Yeah, we, we the best. We ain't taking no talk to guys. No, I said it was a message from you guys. So I had to play the role. you have to play the wrong. It ain't no fucking, bro.
Starting point is 00:07:47 We better have. Let me tell you something. You deal with this every day. It's my dad. Like, really my dad. He said, you deal with this every day. I said, like,
Starting point is 00:07:55 we really live in the same house, like, my dad for real. You know what I mean? Like, people be fake dads. Like, this is my really my dad. I'm going to go back. I'm so serious. Like, we eat breakfast together,
Starting point is 00:08:06 like, you know, turkey bacon eggs this morning. Like. That's official. Yeah. Our dog. Her dog. Okay. I didn't want another dog.
Starting point is 00:08:16 His name is Bear. Bears my God. Bear's fucking lawyer. You're like, motherfucker. While I'm doing my graffiti, he won't leave. If it's three in the morning, he'll wait for me. He'll be a zombie. He'll be looking at him.
Starting point is 00:08:30 Like, I don't know. Please. That's true. Oh. That, you know, Bear is no man left behind. He's not, he's with you. He's not. But lately, he's been having a little limp.
Starting point is 00:08:45 So he got a little limp and shit. So I look at him, I start talking to him because he's kind of like human and shit, right? Am I like? So I said, your bad, what's up? And I notice he's looking at it. He's limpid, turning around looking at me. He limps. So he's like letting me know, yo dad, I'm sick.
Starting point is 00:09:00 You need a knee, sir. Like, I need some help or something. Send me to the doctor or something. So I tell him that. I said, don't worry, I got you. We sent him to the doctor. The doctor said he got a splinter on his shit. He's perfect cartagina fashion.
Starting point is 00:09:14 he's doing all that shit like he broke his leg he has a sprinkling he's not really sick she's like yo he's faking he's jumping up and down in the room he's doing tricks and shit he comes out here and starts slimping in front of you like yo could a dog be that smart
Starting point is 00:09:31 where he gets it from him from the family no I'm saying the splinter probably from a popsicle he left on the floor that's a fact like that's a mayor Mayor confirmed. I'm a cheap date.
Starting point is 00:09:47 I'm a diet Pepsi and a sugar-free ice pop TV and I'm good. I don't need much. I'm just sitting there minding my business. Eat, drink a diet, I'm the cheapest date. I'm not bothering nobody.
Starting point is 00:10:03 I mean, you got some things your father bothers you about? Oh my God. Like too many of a list. Yeah. Yeah, but like they're good things. They're good things.
Starting point is 00:10:14 Happy Father's Day. Wow. This is Father's Day. No, not too much on him. I'm going to go like that. I'm going like, that's okay. Monthly allowance. Put it there with a string.
Starting point is 00:10:26 Every time she says some shit, that motherfucker coming back some more. That shit. You're on a chopping block. That shit like, Sliding out, Marty Supreme. This guy's quoting these. He's never heard until he became friends with Timothy.
Starting point is 00:10:42 He's like, Marty Supreme. Like, how about No, we loved him. No, no, I got to be real with you. Timmy's not my friend. Once the season's over, I'll never see him again until the season comes back.
Starting point is 00:11:00 I'm not confused. Timmy's a good guy. I love him with mutual. I think you might call him off the season. You think I should call him off the season? I think he'll pick up for you out of the season. A nice guy. Timmy's my man, but what I'm trying to tell you is that once that season is over,
Starting point is 00:11:19 it's no more Ben Stiller. She's going to be depressing, man. No more Ben Stiller. He's mourning it. I've been with Ben Stiller. I've been with Timothy Schatz. I've been acting the fuck up. No more.
Starting point is 00:11:32 Once the season's over, back to Joan Jeter. It's no more. It's no more Timmy Shalama. Sad times. There's no more Timmy Shalama. Humble beginnings. Tracy Morgan lives up the block, so we fuck with him. You know, Tracy, man, you know.
Starting point is 00:11:52 Damn, Tracy Morgan. Tracy Morgan got so much money from that Walmart shit. Like, he is out of control. No, this guy don't care about money. Tells me, you know when guys don't care about money? When every time you see him, they say, Joe, can I invest in something? What do you want me to put money on? You want me to invest?
Starting point is 00:12:14 You want me there? I'm like, damn, this motherfucker, Tracey. But, yeah, Tracy, who do you think is still going to hang out with me after the season? Because lately I've been like Star Studic, guys. I don't know if y'all got Instagram, but I've been like acting up.
Starting point is 00:12:29 He's the algorithm. The algorithm is out of control. Is they even going to talk to me when the season is over? I'm really waiting to see if that's what it is. We're seasoned buddies. You should talk me. I'm going to be here, man. Do you keep a touch?
Starting point is 00:12:48 When they all leave, I know you with you. I'm still here. Yes, yes. When the Shal and Maze. Let me tell you something. I was with Ashanti yesterday. She said, shout out to Shanty.
Starting point is 00:12:58 We got a yala coming for the summer. He rock. He rock. One of the ones you wanted to hear at the party that there wasn't blank. We touched one of those. Yeah. Shanty's going to stay, my friend. I think I'm going to do a big birthday party
Starting point is 00:13:17 end of the summer like I always do but I think I'm going to do a big one this time. This time we got to really get them mad. It's got to be out of control one. I mean, he's got to come to the scars around their neck. That's the crucial thing. Invite Timmy and Vince Dillis.
Starting point is 00:13:37 In Hollywood, when this season is over that, they're going to be a Beverly Hills. We might pull up on you. I thought he would pull up on you. He might pull up on you. He's a cool guy. That's the request. If he pulls up, he's a real one.
Starting point is 00:13:50 And if he doesn't, back to Beverly. I used to have artists. By the way, there's good advice for you guys. Because it's going to happen to you guys. I bet my life on it. I used to have an artist that would be the artist. Like, if I had an artist, he'd be like, yo, I was hanging out with DMX yesterday.
Starting point is 00:14:06 He fuck with my shit. He's going to do a song on me. Crickets DMX will never do a song. on with it. You might meet fucking Sizzin. She'd be like, I'm coming on the show. Congratulations. If you're waiting by the window for Siza.
Starting point is 00:14:25 It's just... Party talk. That was like really... What's party talk? Yeah, that's a fucking term for that. Wait, that's exactly what happened to us. You know, I used to argue with you. You just air me out.
Starting point is 00:14:36 Yo, my man, DMX is... He's not showing up. He's not. And so guys give him, like, you know, You give them a, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, and it's full of shit. You don't, you know. You gotta be able to know how to determine. Who's full of shit and who's not?
Starting point is 00:14:55 Yeah, it's the environment. It's mad loud music, mad 1800 going on. Everybody telling you everything you want to hit. You already know when it's a real moment, you need a real bottle. That's why we rock with 1800 tequila. You heard me? These people have been making tequila for 11 generations. That's right.
Starting point is 00:15:14 11. That's a legacy. That's OG status. OG. They were the first to introduce a Nejo set the standard before most of these brands even existed. And you could taste the difference for real. The 1800 crystallino and repisado was what we've been on lately. Smooth, clean, elevate. No burn, no rough edges, just a premium poor that speaks for itself. You know when there's something that's just built right? That's what this. Real talk, that's just what it is. It's always around for the best nights, the wins, the celebrations, to remember that night's story. Whether you're keeping it low-key with the crew or you're pulling up to a big event,
Starting point is 00:15:57 1800 fits every setting. It ain't trying too hard. It's just that. 1800 tequila, real legacy, real smooth, that's the move. True, true, true. One. I remember the first big hit I ever had was R. Kelly. I was still like really, really still
Starting point is 00:16:16 one foot in the hood, one foot out. So it was like I was, I was still rough, rough, rough around the hedges of the nigger I see him. He's like, your fat Joe, I couldn't believe he even knew what it was. At the time, he was King Salasii. He was like on a level of, and the only guys who ever did a song with him at this time was Biggie Smallhost, Nause, and I think Jay came after.
Starting point is 00:16:41 So it was like He was premium real Realty And I was like He was like Yo man I want to do a song with you I never forget me grabbing this show That I said now
Starting point is 00:16:53 Are you sure You want to make that promise off? I'm not the niggily You tell you're gonna do the song I'm running them down The same way And the man kept his word And we went and we did
Starting point is 00:17:06 We dug it And that was my first big hit But I was sure shocked and I still to this day don't believe these people. Like I don't think you think best thing best still are going to pick up my collar if I call? Have waxed him too?
Starting point is 00:17:20 It's a chance. I think Timothy Salomey will. Salomey fuck with you, man. Timmy's a good guy. He got the Chrome Hog tonight. I'm on a Yeah. Nah, that name got the Chrome. He got Chrome. Y'all might bind on that.
Starting point is 00:17:37 Buying Crum. Now, already been when you see the video us coming out the plane that was for the 47th time. Timmy, come here. Yo, I need that chrome hard for real. Four in the morning, drunk, whatever coming on. I had to tell them for the 48th time. Like, yo, Timmy, I need the plug, plug.
Starting point is 00:17:58 Because I ain't got the plug. I ain't got the plug. I went to shout out to Cromwell in Vegas. They always look out. But I sent my jacket to the Cromart factory where they told me they were going to put a bunch of cross since I'm like the jacket was 10,000. Party talk?
Starting point is 00:18:14 They robbed me. You got your jacket back? I didn't have my jacket back of nothing. Oh, man. I keep telling slow, like, you know, slow, we got, we, hold up. They might have sold it to somebody else. Like, they did their virgins. Let me know if we got stuck up or not.
Starting point is 00:18:26 At this point, I believe. Timmy hasn't. We got robbed. For a shit. I'm like, yo, slow, did they send the jacket back at this? At this point, I'm telling us slow, slow. Slow, call the dude and just send the jacket back. This is a 10,000.
Starting point is 00:18:39 They sold that. jacket retail. Not to mention second but this shit is a joint. And man, I think they robbed me. You know, every now and then you get robbed, man. You know what I'm saying? It's just the truth.
Starting point is 00:18:54 It's going to happen to everybody. Every now and then you get robbed. Most likely not with a guy with a gun. Smooth talkers. You felt like you ever got robbed. Have you ever been robbed? Has anybody stolen?
Starting point is 00:19:10 stuck up? No, you ain't stuck up. Or like scam me. Scam you? Yeah. For what? Clothes on like. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:18 On the internet? Yeah, like a, like if you ever do like a, I don't want to say the name because they're actually great people. Shout out to them. I won't say their name. But it's an app. There's apps where you like resell stuff and you'll be in there with like random bots and you'll be like, I'll do 1800 and they'll be like,
Starting point is 00:19:34 I'll do $1,200 and they'll be going back and forth with like with these bots. Did it? And then like you ended. paying for you get it back and it's like mad fake. Oh shit. You would be bad on like one of those apps. You would be bad. A sneaker wish from coal it got me like that.
Starting point is 00:19:52 Exactly. It got me like that. Yeah, it's bad. It hurts. It hurt me. Especially if you're really bad. No, Ben and Jerry's to 800. It happened to me twice.
Starting point is 00:20:02 Happened? Yeah. He's like George Bush. They got me twice. They got me twice. He got robbed. They got me twice. For like millions and millions of dollars from accountants.
Starting point is 00:20:13 It was the, um, metallic fives. It was also the, um, the tools, the off white when Virgil died. I sold them and ordered them. Like I sold them because they was too small. Ordered my size. He died. Bid canceled. Did cancel.
Starting point is 00:20:33 Cancel. That was a shit. But it hurts when you actually are in the field and you're like going back and forth. and you're like, no, I'll do 805. And they're like 802. Every time they rob me, it's like I just charge it to the game because I'd just be like, you know, I stuck up so many.
Starting point is 00:20:49 I got to get my back the day, man. It's disgusting. You know how you get karma? Like, I just, like, I was terrible guys. And it was like, I said this shit, I said, like, I really thought I was Tony Soprano at one time,
Starting point is 00:21:04 man, I really used gang-s. Yo, do, you. Shit, I'm throwing this party with this guy. This guy got a club. We got a club, it's fly, nobody's coming. He tells me, yo, let's team up. 50-50. So we throw the party.
Starting point is 00:21:18 We bring video music box, care of rest. The next thing you know, that shit ran packed a month later. Like, every weekend is rampacked. One Friday, the guy came and said, yo, man, shit. I said, buddy, do you guys? You don't work here anymore? It's like, huh? Yes, you've been relieved of your duty.
Starting point is 00:21:37 You got to just come back shit, you know? If I sat here and told you I wasn't a scumbag in the street You was a bully Not just nah I wouldn't call it a bully I was more like you know That's where it was I was disgusting
Starting point is 00:21:52 James do you guys have questions on the show I had stuff set up Great What's the question? That's a great point James I'm just like worried He has boards Who has a painting camera
Starting point is 00:22:04 I wish they could be with the board Of the questions I'm like yo do they have questions on this show Does anybody work on this show? Can we get a question from the mustache himself? Your whole, your call-allus is gone, by the way. He don't give a fuck. He's over there placing bets and all type of shit.
Starting point is 00:22:22 Hard rock best. Like, the time on my day to just chom it up with this guy. They tell me your kiss. The other day they grabbed me. Y'all, let me tell you, you know how the other day I played the conductor of the train for the Knicks. When I tell you, they surrounded me like a hundred deep. You like, yo, you talk too much on the show, nigger.
Starting point is 00:22:43 Like, I said, well, yo, this guy, you don't give a fuck sometimes. This is one of them days. This is crazy, booed. That was funny. When did you realize your father was famous? Like, realized. I don't know. Early, young.
Starting point is 00:22:56 Horn, you knew. When you realized he never had to pay for shit? Young. I don't know. That was young. Crazy is lurking out. And the father. Happy Father's Day issue.
Starting point is 00:23:09 When you realize, when did you realize your father was saying? Why did you reiterate it like that? Because I'm trying to figure it out because we live a pretty discreet or quiet life behind the scenes. So I'm just trying to figure out. When did you find out your father was famous? I feel like I got the short end of that question. He like blabbered the rest. No, I was not telling you I'm your father.
Starting point is 00:23:32 I'm famous. I was having you in school, taking you to dance class. they're like a regular guy. I was trying my best. That's really the people around you. Yeah, I was going to say the same thing. It's the people around you. Like, they never had that conversation with me.
Starting point is 00:23:46 Like, it was never proposed. Like, it was a lot of, like, my classmates would tell me. Or they'd be like, oh, your dad this, your dad, that, like, they would hear from their parents. I seen them on TV. Yeah, like that song. Yeah. I had no idea, really.
Starting point is 00:23:58 It was never, like, a sit down. Like, my little brothers know they keep famous. Like, yeah. Oh, no, they're lit. I sat next to them in the game. The twins? They let it. spoke to all their friends, everything.
Starting point is 00:24:09 They FaceTime the whole road. One thing about him is he will talk to your friends. We got Joe and Jeter, like he's here. Dumb dudes are lit, the chubby of one. Josh. He's mad cool. Both of them are cool, but he is more like... How old are they?

Starting point is 00:26:53 Hey, I'm Hoda Kotby, host of the podcast, Joy 101 with Hoda Kotby. Together, we're going to have meaningful conversations with the world's most fascinating people. Like when actress Olivia Munn shared how she overcame fierce health challenges. I've gone through breast cancer and then helped my mother through breast cancer, and that was more difficult. There's a lot of people who understand postpartner depression. I was not prepared for postpartum anxiety. Listen to Joy 101 with Hoda Kotby on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I love the sounds, the buzzing from the stadium, the chanting from the fans, the announcers calling the place soccer, football, at home.
Starting point is 00:27:36 Why do I watch the World Cup? That's like asking me, why do I breed? I inherited that fandom from my mom. I like watching it with my dad. It's a connecting force. From Futuro Studios, I'm Fernando Chavari, and this is American Football, a show about soccer culture in the U.S. and its underdog roots. We go beyond the game to the people and the stories that make it great.
Starting point is 00:28:03 A soccer game is a festival. It's not just a game. It's your culture. I took an elbow to my head, which cracked my skull. It is an American game. The Brazilians don't like hearing that, though. Are they the only ones that don't like that? Nobody likes that.
Starting point is 00:28:18 As we get ready for the Men's World Cup this summer, listen to American Football as part of the My Coutura Podcast Network, available on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Last night, a blown call changed a game. This morning, the Internet lost its mind. Highlights are trending, opinions are flying, and nobody's telling you exactly what happened.
Starting point is 00:28:43 That's where Sports Slice comes in. I'm Timbo. Every episode, we're cutting through the noise. Breaking down the plays, the controversies, and the stories behind the headlines. We go straight to the source, the athlete themselves. Their locker room stories, their reactions, the stuff nobody gets to hear. The laughs, the drama, the triumphs, the moments that never make the highlight real. From viral moments to historic games, from buzzer beaters to controversial calls, we break it down, give you context, and ask the question.
Starting point is 00:29:09 questions everybody wants answered. Sports Slice brings you closer to the action with stories told by the people who live them. Listen to Sports Slice on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more, follow Timbo Slicelife-Life 12 in the TikTok podcast network on TikTok. Yo, when you had twins when your wife said, hey, you got twins. What the fuck did you think? This can't be true. This can't be true.
Starting point is 00:29:43 Does that one of your family? That's why it was. Once in a lifetime. Should they be over stuff? What? What? You guys said it the same way. It was like two of them.
Starting point is 00:29:54 And it got anything. It's like they don't like you. I never seen. They got everything to say. They got two of everything and they still got beef over one of them. They don't share anything. You never saw nothing like this. It got the same thing.
Starting point is 00:30:10 They got the same one, but they mad that he got the phone. Yeah. There's no, I don't know how to fix it. It's already fixed. They got any. Do you agree with what he said? Yeah, I can't handle it. That's like walking birth control for me.
Starting point is 00:30:28 You're like, them boys are a lot of work, huh? I'm cool. I think it's worse now because they actually worse than there than them. Because they, they're taking it there. They don't, they don't think money. I think they think money comes out of a computer. They don't know that value.
Starting point is 00:30:48 That's another thing. At what point y'all feel like money don't come out of a computer? At what point do you say? This year was a rude awakening for me. I'm not even going to lie. Yeah. This year, I think, was the first year I started paying my own taxes. That means you made a lot of money.
Starting point is 00:31:06 Like everything that I do, I'm like, hey, what account is that coming out of? That LLC, the business, the debt. I'm like really in tuned and everything is like. very eye-opening to see it at least. What is happening is you're building the empire and you just just touch the surface of following your death.
Starting point is 00:31:26 I was an assistant. I've never had a system my whole entire Korea. Not too much on Joan. Joan is here. What do we call us? My name. Bree, Trinity, where's Danny, Joan?
Starting point is 00:31:38 I haven't, this is not, this is like, you have to support the team also. Does anybody know, the team doesn't just hang out with you. Like the team comes with an invoice. And it's a lot of, it's a lot of work. A lot of work. I try to limit that.
Starting point is 00:31:56 You try to limit that. You try to limit the expenses. It takes a lot of money to walk outside. A girl? Yeah, girls takes a lot of money to walk outside. They're all nodding back there. They're like, no, it's true. And but what, what I do like about you is that you're an entrepreneur.
Starting point is 00:32:13 and you bossed up. So you didn't wait for nobody and give you no comp and no podcast and all that. One day I just walked in the house and it was a film crew in the closet and it was like, yeah, this is my new podcast. I'm like, really?
Starting point is 00:32:27 And I like that because I'm an entrepreneur. I'm a hustler myself. So it's like, wow, she did that on her own. And then she just keeps building the team. I don't have the team she has. So I don't have an assistant. I do have a stylist,
Starting point is 00:32:43 but she has assistant, she has a film crew, she has stylish, she has this. And I'm just like, damn, she dead ass is investing in herself. And so the main thing is everybody look at you like, you crazy when you believe in yourself. And then once you're successful, they'd be like, y'all, you knew all the time, this, this, that. So to be an entrepreneur is always people doubting you and they think that you crazy. crazy, but like you're rapping, right? But you want to be a superstar rapper? What do you want to do?
Starting point is 00:33:19 Trying to reach his level. They didn't. Build on that. How hard is that? Like, you know, to make your own identity to where, yeah, my dad is such and such, but I'm in him. Because I will say, it's like, it's heavy
Starting point is 00:33:34 being in their shadow, but like I try to get as far away as possible from that kind of but you were a girl. Shadow. But I know it's probably 10 times harder or a thousand times harder
Starting point is 00:33:47 that you do the same thing. So how is that? I don't know. I figured it out. Some days you can't. Like some days you just got to, it is what it is. Other days it'd be,
Starting point is 00:33:59 all right, we building with you, we rocking with you. You just got to, you can't let the noise blind you or Jade, what you got. Let me ask you a question.
Starting point is 00:34:07 You think you're like the Jackson 5, like your father of God, you got it? Maybe the little brothers got it. You believe that. I don't think my little brothers want to do it. No, I'm just saying.
Starting point is 00:34:17 Yeah, yeah, yeah. You like the Jackson 5. You got the DNA. Yeah. That's crazy. Yeah. And that's hard because I got family members to try to rap and all that.
Starting point is 00:34:27 And I can tell when they talk to me, they look at me like they just think. They think it's dead. It's the Carter Gina thing. And trust me, I've been trying to tell them, like, yo, if you don't make hot shit, if you don't get hot on your own and all that, this ain't the Jackson 5.
Starting point is 00:34:49 He's different for me because I'm like, yo, if you, and trust me, it's a hard thing. Now, you've been buzzing, you put in a lot of work, you're going hard, you at least, you're touching the third rail. You're near the surface, you got motion. But most these guys, like, if you look at all the rappers, legendary rappers, all their kids came out and said they rap. None of them really made it.
Starting point is 00:35:17 You got to do the work. You got to do the work. Yeah, I see you doing it. There's a lot of work that skit from a lot of people. You got to just do the work. No, you got to do the work, and I see you doing the work, but it's a lot of people that have tried to rap that their parents are somebody, and it just didn't happen.
Starting point is 00:35:37 I'm talking about the greatest of the great. You know what I'm saying? And so I think something that's a problem that's more better than now, right? Because when we was coming up, you had to be a gangster. Or you had to be from the hood. They had to go to your projects. I used to do that. Like, I went to Marcy Projects.
Starting point is 00:36:01 I know where your father's hood is from. I went to Queensbridge. I went to Koogee Rap's neighborhood. I went to, like, we was going to the neighborhoods. It's like, this is where they're from, Buckshot Shorty. Like, you know, and you, and he'd be like, yo, what's up? Was niggas pussy or was it, like, we was doing that back in the day, like, going to niggas hood.
Starting point is 00:36:21 Like, back chicken. Yes. Like, you had to be like, there was an uncomfortable, there was a terrible time in hip hop. And we go to double X-L that every single rapper on the cover was like, shot nine times, shot 36 times, jailed for 40 years. years just came home on a furlough. Like, you had to have that, right? So it was a time
Starting point is 00:36:45 that I felt like hip-hop said, all right, we know kids. We know the locks. We know Fat Joe. He was wilding for the night, whatever. And then when your son come, who they assume grew up in Bel Air. Yeah, they didn't have to go through none.
Starting point is 00:37:02 They, there's a fucked up thing about it. They want to shake you 10 times more. No, they're just like, yo, you ain't from yonk it's Halliburton Nav for real. Halliburton. You ain't. Halliburton. It's Warburton.
Starting point is 00:37:20 No. I mean. You ain't from Halliburton, Naff. That's how they try to call people out, like rappers, kids, like saying, yo, you wasn't starving. You're like a silver spoon. You know, I think now is a lot better. I don't think I know now it's a lot better.
Starting point is 00:37:38 It's more like... They do that to some people, though. Some people get that. Yeah. They'd be like, yo, you ain't your father. When I took him to college, dropped them off in Atlanta. They called.
Starting point is 00:37:53 When we got back home, flew back. I got a call, like, in a day or two from the dean that some office there. Like, hello? They're like, yo, this time is your son right? Hey, I'm telling him. You know, call him. He was like, no, nothing to happen,
Starting point is 00:38:10 but they're bullying Anita Baker, son. We just wanted to know. They ain't fucking bullying my son. I don't got nothing to do with Anita Beacon, son. I don't know. One of the most things I was proud of my son was I moved to Miami, and man, that nigga fought that whole school.
Starting point is 00:38:28 Like, they was like, he was on Samoa. I'm from New York. So he was like New York. He was coming through New York, thinking because he grew up in the Bronx till he was about 10 years old, then I'm moving my hand. And they wasn't trying to hear the type of motion. He was walking through, like, y'all, I'm from there.
Starting point is 00:38:46 He had to fight niggas every day. And I remember one time that the principal called me, and she was like, they was like, yo, we want to show you a video. They had the videos ahead of time. Like video. He was building evidence. No, they have videos. So you see them in the class, and these guys are bullying them.
Starting point is 00:39:07 It's like eight guys waiting outside the door. He dropped his bag. He went outside and started hooking on him. And he fought all of megas. I was like, yeah. Inside I was like, motherfucker. We got a real one. This thing.
Starting point is 00:39:20 He getting busy, but, you know, he had a problem. He was bringing up, what, Jimmy Hensman, something. You know, they got up. All of New York niggas that they fathers moved them to Miami. They clicked up and they was, they was fighting out there. A coalition.
Starting point is 00:39:38 No, it was a coalition. I ain't have none of that. I ain't, that was bullying me and all. That don't even go in the same sense. No, you never had like the bully. Now what I got bullied. Do you ever got bullied? I think by a teacher, right?
Starting point is 00:39:55 Oh, yeah, a lot of teachers like... They made me hate. Yeah, because I used to do a lot, though. I feel like it makes sense now that I'm grown up and I do what I do. It was like a lot of like, I used to change my whole uniform. I used to take it to the tailor and, like, add little details to paint my nails, like, colorful. I used to wear my hair, like, big, like, everything that I wasn't allowed to do I would do. And they just, like, I had beef with teachers and nuns and principals like that.
Starting point is 00:40:21 But nobody ever really tried me. See, my teachers like that about me. That's great. Yeah. I was like Will Smith, my shit. What? And in Fresh French, yeah. I love that for you.
Starting point is 00:40:33 Yeah. She was like, she went through a rough time. She had a teacher that used to, well, in her school, Swiss beat something went there, and the teachers was fucking with him. They was fucking with celebrities' kids. Because they just feel like, you know, you got, so what your dad is.
Starting point is 00:40:50 They just want to make your-old. So what your mom says, you don't give a fuck. It is fucked up because if you got a situation with a parent or just your situation. Because a lot of that time, they're mad they actually school teachers and you coming through cakeed up.
Starting point is 00:41:08 So that's what the real beef is. And so we're going to show you that if you think that you're hot shit, you ain't really hot shit, and we run the show. And so you get that. And so as a celebrity's child, you know, you're going to get the love.
Starting point is 00:41:24 You're going to go somewhere. They're going to be like, oh, we love your dad. Then you're going to go somewhere when you're going to get the hate. Facts. Where they're like, you know, I don't give fuck. And that terrorist squad shit is it. She's a girl, so she's a little bit lucky.
Starting point is 00:41:35 because that terrorist squad shit we say you got to wear that chain in good and bad times I'm telling you sometimes you got to do it in good and bad times we got good guys on the crew they got to wear it sometimes and they go into bad places
Starting point is 00:41:51 they got this shit on you got to wear that all the time so it comes at you in different directions your relationship with your moms or your relationship with your mom Your father's are both famous. He's in fourth party. Who?
Starting point is 00:42:12 He's talking about the fourth party. Go ahead. I like. I'm at fourth party. Not even third. Yeah, their fathers are both famous. Their fathers are both famous. He's a poet.
Starting point is 00:42:24 I'm at fourth party. That's fucking crazy. Does your mother's got to fight for your attention like your father's? Oh, it's like, yo, I'm my father's friend. Like, what do you mean? Yeah. Like, actually simplify what you're asking. I really don't know.
Starting point is 00:42:39 Like, CPT, what you're trying to say. I don't know what I mean. What I mean is. I don't know what I mean. I don't know what I mean. Yeah, that's a sick. Like, I don't know what I mean. Like, I got an idea, but I don't know how to ask it.
Starting point is 00:42:54 If I knew what I was trying to ask, I would ask it. I know. But you're trying to actually lob it up and ask. I'm so much of his partner. I know what he mean. What does, what do I mean? What he's really trying to say is like with your mother and father, you know, are you already clinging to your mom?
Starting point is 00:43:12 That's just a child's thing. But sometimes they say the dad, daughters go to the father and this. What he's saying is what's going on with the, do we get the same love as the mother's? No. It feels personal. It's never going to happen. Mike, it's like, do you like, do you want to know more than you?
Starting point is 00:43:28 I don't know right now. I'm like, all right, bro. I feel like a sign language. It's always going to be a little. It's always going to be a little. it's going to be a slight tilt. You have to be a little soulful with your mom. She's a woman.
Starting point is 00:43:40 That could be a excuse, but it's just never going to add a head tilt. No, but it's the fact, though, with your mom's just like. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Is it a question that's never. It's a question. It's a dumb question, basically. Hello? It's a rig question, rig question.
Starting point is 00:44:00 Yeah, like you, you're a girl. Like, did you? I think it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it. It's pretty stereotypical. Like boys go with their mom, girls go with their dad. I think the whole thing is throwing off now due to the financial structure. It's more, I mean, we live in the world where there's a lot of caked up ladies, but it's more caked up. That's.
Starting point is 00:44:30 So they leaning on the, on the, on the, on the pockets. It's harder. Hold on a scurzy moment, Scott Rizzy. Uh. In a little pale winner, starting to town. Fire! Joe and Jada Show.com. We got new merch fresh off the presses.
Starting point is 00:44:51 Go get it. Big out of big, boom. Joe and Jadishow.com. You can get the little cold for a t-shirt with a hoodie tag. It's my favorite right there. I need an extra large. Show and Jadishow.

Listen to Sports Slice on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more, follow Timbo Slicel Life 12 and the TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok. What do you qualify as success? I want to throw a flag. Like, say something interesting for real. Like, I want to throw a flag.
Starting point is 00:48:27 Like, catch a vibe. Like, we're not trying to violate the whole premises. That's when we, uh... See, he missed the song. We should have played the song for. There's no shames. Shaking my head. Oh, no, we heard it at the diner yesterday.
Starting point is 00:48:40 Went to the diner together. I heard it live at the diner. With every other, like, yeah. I forgot that. What do you mean, but? what's your level of success? I mean, like, what do you want? Like, what do you, what do you, what do you, like me?
Starting point is 00:48:55 I've been in the game 32 years. I still ain't. What's your end goal in your career? I want to be a billionaire. And I want to change the game so that when I'm, it's set and done, there's like code you got to crack. It's like, and there's people who got to earn your trust. And there's, you know, there's gatekeepers.
Starting point is 00:49:16 There's people who. stopping you. And that's a fact. And it is very rare. You could feel like it, but you don't know that they are until you get a direct hit. When someone hits you and you'll be like, oh, shit, they said that. You know, I got that, you know, I had a sneaker deal that were begging me to do with Reebok. And one day they turned around and said, you got beef with Jay-Zine and 50 cent. At the time, they both had the number one sneaker there. I didn't have to hear the rest. The rest was to get business elsewhere. Like, you ain't getting the check here.
Starting point is 00:49:49 So it's a lot of type of shit going on. I was saying the other day to myself is just, we're still kids learning too, even though we've grown men and we own businesses and all that. Every day we're learning. Every day we're trying to get to another level. Every day, I've never been here before. How about my father ain't been here?
Starting point is 00:50:10 Or my uncles, none of them went to where I'm trying to go. So it's like, we're learning still. every day. We're learning how to push through, how to get to what we want, to whatever the dream is. Like, I got to get to that next, next, next, next level to make sure that our families are good. But forever and ever and ever and ever, like her kids. I want to lead the money to her kids, not just her. And we could do it. We've seen Jay-Z become a billionaire. We've seen Nas just on the casino. I was like, no, he was going to own a casino five years ago. He put himself in the right rooms, right places with people that trust.
Starting point is 00:50:49 Now, he's going to be a billionaire. So it's like, you got to stay in the game, you never know. So me personally, I'm telling you that I never, if you're looking for me, for guidance or experience, I'm still learning. It's hard to believe, but I'm still learning, and I'm still trying to get to where I'm trying to get. And with me is a little bit different because I bullshit it a lot. So I've always been bossed up. I always been a boss, but I had different goals.
Starting point is 00:51:17 I wanted to be the realest nigger in the game. I'm walking around with a hundred niggins. You know what a hundred niggas is? It's a hundred cars. You know what a hundred hotel rooms is? It's a hundred hotel rooms. You know what four bus? You know what a hundred stakes is?
Starting point is 00:51:35 Every night, this and this and that. Yo, that shit was out of control. And I did it. For 15 years, I did it. Like, I really did that. That amount of niggins, if you would have met me back in the day, you'd be like, yo, Fat Joe got a lot of niggas. And then I had to realize I'm scaring the money.
Starting point is 00:51:55 The guy. Message. I got a story. I'll tell you a quick. I met a guy one time. I'm in Miami, chilling with my wife. I got some meat. What happens?
Starting point is 00:52:07 His coffee is ready. Let me get a job. I feel much finer. John Wayne, man. Let me get a Joe Wayne. No, that's strong. Yeah, yeah, that's that strong shit. Y'all, listen, that's that strong shit.
Starting point is 00:52:20 James said drink it in the next episode. That's the Iso-tona right now. But let me tell you something. So I meet this man. I'm in Miami. I'm wearing white linen. I'm older now. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:52:31 I'm chilling fly. Don't suca. I don't get some splendor. Some type of sugar. Sugar, some of my suca. Suca. So I mean. beat this guy and the guy tells me a story.
Starting point is 00:52:44 The people. Old the black guy. He looked wealthy. He said, man, I got a story for you. I said, what's the story? He says, well, you know I own an advertising agency. He said, back in the day, I had a company that wanted to give you $2 million. It was Red Stripe, the Jamaican beer or something.
Starting point is 00:53:07 They told him, go sign Fat Joe, and don't. come back without Fat Joe's side. It comes to the world famous Jimmy's Bronx Cafe, home of the terrorist squad. We're in there deeper than you can fucking breathe. Like in the middle of the Bronx, we're in there. I know they say I exaggerate, but kids can tell you. Deep, I mean, so the man says he goes in Jimmy's Bronx Cafe.
Starting point is 00:53:34 He knew Russell Simmons, Russell Simmons said, well, Fat Joe's there every Friday, Jimmy's Bronx Cafe. He walks in. He said he walked in. He seen me. He passed one guy. He passed the second guy. Guy pushes him in the chest.
Starting point is 00:53:47 He's like, yo, where are you going? He said, he's in a three-piece suit. We're in the middle of the hood. He was like, no, I got to see Fat Joe. He said, the guy let him go. He went two more. Niggas said, no one talks to the darn. No one.
Starting point is 00:54:01 He said, Joe, I had a $2 million check and I was staring at you with my eyes. You were in that chair. and I had to give you this check. My boss said, don't leave without giving me a check. And all the dugs just collapsed on me and was telling me get the fuck out of you. They don't fuck me up.
Starting point is 00:54:20 This, this, that. That's a perfect example of explaining to you how you fuck up the money. We could have used a $2 million check. He told me this story, and I had to respect it and be like, damn. And so a lot of guys in this industry don't realize you scare the money.
Starting point is 00:54:38 Now, the only other. The other way it works is if you're in stupid demand. Like, if you Alan Arvison, and you're the hottest nigga in the world, you get away with some shit, normal people wouldn't get away with. I've always wondered, right? So Birdman is one of the most brilliant businessmen in the game.
Starting point is 00:54:58 But I know for a fact of white, people don't want to deal with a guy with 76 tattoos in their face, forehead, this, that, come with the whole crew. Now, he's going to meet, but they got to deal with. The type of pressure cash money's so big. Then you got Nikki Menard, you got Drake, you got Wayne. They got to deal with them. That's the only way you get away with that type of shit.
Starting point is 00:55:20 It's like you're so on fire, they have to deal with you. They have to come. All right, bird, man, we love you. What's going on? This, this, that. Other than that, it's shit crazy. So my level of success is I haven't seen it yet. That's, that's, and it's attainable.
Starting point is 00:55:38 Everything in this. earth. If there's one thing you need to learn, we had a black president. His name was Obama. We had a guy who grew up in the projects who's worth billions of dollars. His name is Jay-Z. Nothing. If you put your mind to it and you go hard, nothing. Nothing can not be undone. You can do it. What's your level of success? What do you want to eventually do? I think my level of success is like whenever people tell you like, you're delusional or that's unrealistic or dim it down a little bit.
Starting point is 00:56:15 I think when I tell people my plans and they act like that, I know I'm on par. You know what I mean? That's good. You got the right way to channel. They're looking like I said something motivational. No, that's the way with the channel. I prefer not to tell my plans of nobody,
Starting point is 00:56:32 but me, my name cemented, name cemented, and live comfortably. I'm good, parents good, siblings good, kids good, I did it. And that's the problem with being a rat. Your name is never going to be cemented. I don't care what kind of work you put in, whatever you did.
Starting point is 00:56:51 You are a rat. Your shit is going down for 300 years. It was inspirational motivation. Your kiss, it's the truth. No rats to make you, you can't take it. You shot out of him on a single. I say that. Put the silence on.
Starting point is 00:57:10 Not even. He took the silence off and just blah, blah. We like to thank you guys for giving us a pair of socks. You know what I got last year and my wife caught hell on the Instagram? You know what I got last year? This is the flag. Like, this is the wackest, like, oh, sorry. You're good.
Starting point is 00:57:33 It's all good. What? What you want us to talk to you? Like, you guys just like run on. sentence. Like, what are your plans this year? Well, last year, what would you like to do? So I'll take you somewhere. I treat. Okay.
Starting point is 00:57:47 My plan? See how I get treated? Okay. My plans last year. All right. What do you want her to get you? Right. What do you want much? I don't want much. I don't want much. But I'm going to be honest to you. Last year, I wanted a TV dinner.
Starting point is 00:58:01 Yo, yo. You know, hungry jack. I wanted a hungry man with the little thing. We got it. We got it. 10 of them. We got it. My wife didn't they fucking tore her ass up on the ground.
Starting point is 00:58:13 I told her, yo, give me a TV dinner. There's so much sodium and all fucked up shit in there. They was cursing out how you want to kill that, nigga. This is that. What? A fucking TV dinner now. That's like smoking a pack of mar barrels, nigga. Like, you're dumb.
Starting point is 00:58:29 You're hard for an TV dinner. I want some shit. You know how much fucking lobster we got? I want to do. I want. I want something. What do you want? Maybe I can help these guys look the right way.
Starting point is 00:58:44 What do you want for Father's Day? For me, Father's Day don't even count. So you don't count that hospital? Are you one of them that says like holidays don't matter? No, holidays matter. Father's Day don't matter? Yeah, he'll believe. Look at the world.
Starting point is 00:59:02 There's nothing slowing down. There's no furniture. There's no deals on furniture. is no, we don't, we don't, we don't have commercial. No automations are on sale. They wipe out of shit right under the, I'm not lazy, but you want, do you want a lazy boy? There's nothing.
Starting point is 00:59:20 Oh, that's so amazing. You're a father. What do they do? Sox is, you're going to get, you're going to, your son's going to be 32, he's still going be getting socks. Oh, he has a bad relationship with fathers. So you're a new father, so socks is work. Yeah, we're shopping.
Starting point is 00:59:34 Shout up by three. Sox. You know, my girl, Batrisha. Women have been working for me for like 20 years. Batrisha always get me some nice underwear. It's the socks and shit. But she gets the ones she know I'm going to wear. Some people waste a gift on you and they give you some shit.
Starting point is 00:59:50 How many times you got some shit there like, I love all you guys. Don't give me another painting of fat. How about I'm getting my? I don't want to shit behind that. I'm getting his boss a Louis bag for Father's Day. Yes. That's what we're complaining about. Some.
Starting point is 01:00:04 some, that's what we're complaining about. How do we go from the furniture on sale to the new Ferelle Louis Vuitton? Because he's got, why is it for this thing? As he. We don't get nothing. So what do you want? Like, what do you want?
Starting point is 01:00:19 Everything. I want something. What do you want? This is so personal. You know me, the only thing I really give a fuck about is some sneakers. Oh my God. You know what I'm saying? And then, um, you know what I really want?
Starting point is 01:00:31 I want one of the don't see baseball hats, like a Nick. I call them FaceTime. Your man shitted on me and fucking, what's my man from UN? A little man, Malachi. Malachi went over there and they sold him one of them hats. Don't look, look, look. Because I'm going there this weekend.
Starting point is 01:00:50 I'm going there this weekend, my brother. Can you get me one with the Crocodiles? I call Don Cee. I say, yo, it's the playoffs. I want to be courtside with your hat. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Nigger never sent shit. Then nephew Malachi,
Starting point is 01:01:04 in Chicago like, look, OG. I'm not even the Knicks fan, but I got the hat. I'm like, yo, I really wanted to take it from Malacca. I really was like, you know, it's my hat. Like, I want the hat. I take a hat. There's nothing wrong with that.
Starting point is 01:01:21 You should be generosity to your father and stuff like that. Let me ask you for four kids time. What do you want? Where do you want to go? Do you want to eat something like? Maybe I want to smoke a spliff, you know. Bro. Maybe I want to smoke a spliff.
Starting point is 01:01:40 Zoom in on the plastic bag. So no dinner. Just straight, materialistic things. I don't really, I really, I really want dinner. You already want dinner. What time? You know, I'm wet. You went to every restaurant.
Starting point is 01:01:55 He don't want to do it. Take him to Burger King. Yeah, that would be a good one. Oh, that made them. Happy. You know. I got a little bit happier. Burger King got them grilled.
Starting point is 01:02:09 See what I'm saying? The Wopper good. They're gonna break the king. This guy, he's the Faker's good. The Wapa good. Yo, the Wopper's good of Flame Boy. You okay, the Wap is good. Yo.
Starting point is 01:02:23 You think it's crazy, dog. I can't take this guy. He's crazy. The Wapper's good. Listen, we want to thank our family for coming up here. Happy Father's Day to all the fathers. Yo, listen.
Starting point is 01:02:37 It's Father's Day thing, right? I'm fried. But listen. Perfect. Father's Day, fathers who are real fathers. We got some fathers who are special needs kids. We got some fathers who the mothers couldn't cut it. They broke out.
Starting point is 01:02:53 The fathers took care of them. And then we got some deadbeat fathers. Like, if you think you created a kid, and you buy them a pair of socks or one pair of sneakers a year and think you're doing something, you ain't. And so shout out to the mothers that are fathers, too. That's the most important thing. And guess what?
Starting point is 01:03:14 You piece of shit dads that ain't doing nothing for your kids at all, you can actually change and wake up one day and say, hey, I'm sorry, I wasn't a real father. Let me spend time with you. Let me give you whatever I can. And so on that note, this ain't. Ain't that? That ain't this.
Starting point is 01:03:34 It's cracking kiss, God damn it. Peace. Very possible. Very hard. It's that time to put on your jersey and wave your flag, whoever you root for. Why do I watch the World Cup? That's like asking me, why do I breed? And it's beautiful.
