Starting point is 00:00:16 Hey guys, it's us. The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe. I'm Kevin. And I'm Nick. And guess what? We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas.
Starting point is 00:00:23 Nice. We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to us out. We're the first people to do podcasts. We get to ask. other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions. Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it, but, you know, tired and sick.
Starting point is 00:00:36 Tired and sick. Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it. Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smigel and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel. help an a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes.
Starting point is 00:01:06 Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas. And I'm C.J. Toledano. It's our favorite time of the year on our podcast point game, the playoffs. We're digging into the biggest surprises of the season, and I'm looking back on some of my greatest playoff moments.
Starting point is 00:01:26 If we didn't talk ever again, I was partying. You just understand. That's how personal it got. Wow. Then after that game seven, Marquis coming to, he's like, you know, I love you, dog. You know, it's all love. This was just playoffs.
Starting point is 00:01:38 This was just basketball. So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Oh, shit. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to. Is it sugar-free? Happy birthday.
Starting point is 00:02:00 That's the Jay. This is the sugar sweet. Huh? Who's it on you? That's nice. It's the motherfucking realist ever, the Bronx legend.
Starting point is 00:02:37 King of Kings, don a dance. Shit talk of all shit talkers. Joe Crack. You know who it is? Your boy, Jada. This is the Joe and Jada show. Every show legendary.
Starting point is 00:02:49 Every show iconic. We smack this shit out of every podcast. You know. Yo, y'all kiss. The stakes is high. I see what's going down. Oh, you see what's going down, kiss? No, no.
Starting point is 00:03:04 Yo, Kiss, you got to stop. Yeah. What's up, man? What's up? What's up? Push to start, baby. New York Knicks broke every fucking record you could think of in the universe. Never thought I see it.
Starting point is 00:03:20 in my lifetime. We actually doing shit on the level of we look like, I don't care. It looked like anybody we face, we can obliterate. Shout out the Mike Brown. Oh, you know, I killed them with the sneakers yesterday. You ain't see that shit on my live?
Starting point is 00:03:46 The sneakers. Yo, you got to chop it up. He got the FP Procats. he said, Yo, it's the fucking sneakers. Yo, I say, yo, but you know, coach, they make sneakers with cushion now. This guy wearing like these fucking pro-cads.
Starting point is 00:04:01 Yo, I'm... It might be good luck. No, it is now. If you match up now, right about now, I might need some FP Jordans or whatever that shit is. I would...
Starting point is 00:04:12 Yo, let me tell you something. I said, yo, coach, the sneakers. Man, everybody hated on bridges. Let me tell you about bridges. Let me tell you about bridges. Bridges. He came back. There's guys.
Starting point is 00:04:23 There's guys. You see, I bumped into A-Rod and he cop, please. He was like, no, Fat Joe, my man. I said, yo, hi, I'm Alex Rodriguez. Nick, do this shit. Come on, for 20 years. Hi, I'm Alex. Yo, you know I'm fucking Fat Joe.
Starting point is 00:04:35 Like, cut the shit out. So I go, um. He always does the same thing. Always, for 30 years, hi. I'm Alex Rodriguez. So we talked about it on the show. He came up to me at the Nick game. Yo, what up, Fat Joe, yo, yo.
Starting point is 00:04:50 I was like, no, hi, I'm Alex Rodriguez. I said, why you ain't hit me with that? He was like, no, no, I'm cleaning it up. I said, shout out to Cecee, Sabathia, but to Bridges. This guys, damn, I don't want to use A-Rod. I just big them up, but A-Roy was a guy who hit 100 home runs during the season
Starting point is 00:05:08 and disappeared during the championship. I'm thinking McHale Bridges is the opposite. He shows up for the, because we wouldn't have beat the Celtics last year if it wasn't for McCall. The Pele-A-offs come. He's a totally, completely different player than he was in the regular season. So we got to big him up.
Starting point is 00:05:29 He comes at the right time. So you know what happened to me yesterday? I bought courtside tickets. Shout out of my man, Nick, hard rock bets. We bought court-side tickets to the Cavs game. So I already flew in. I'm already there. In the afternoon, they go, yo,
Starting point is 00:05:46 Joseph Carter, Gina, we didn't know this fat. Joe, they said, you can't be courtside. We ain't going to have no Nick fan cheering this and this and that. You could come if you don't cheer. And then they said, yo, you just can't come. They dead at me. I was stranded in fucking Cleveland. They said, yo, take your money back.
Starting point is 00:06:05 We ain't get the money back yet. They said, take your money back. You can't sit courts at. No Nick fan because you seen Timothy Shamlich. He put him a little bit back. He had the wisdom with him in the second, third row. Like once you see, let's keep it real. Philly, they said no New York fans, but they gave
Starting point is 00:06:21 some white guys some tickets. They gave Timmy Shamblet, they gave Ben Stiller. No, this time they was like, yo, Kendall, what's this girl's name? Kendall? Kylie. Kylie. Fuck I know. All the fucking Kardashians, I don't know who they... They
Starting point is 00:06:39 was like, you know, they were sitting where I was sitting. You know what I'm saying? So, I call up Dolan and I said, yo, boss man, they are violated me. He said, if we go to game five, I'm going to put the owner upper deck. Listen, I think New York fans got
Starting point is 00:07:00 Mr. Dolan fucked up. Like, he's all in with us. He was like, Joe, I'm so sorry. We will put these guys up a deck if we played them back at the garden. I promise you. He was dumb pissed. So they got me a hole of two tickets worked out even better. I'm there. I got the hospitality suite
Starting point is 00:07:21 hanging out with everybody. We had the best time in the world. We wind up now, I ain't going to lie to you. Going on the court, that wasn't my idea. Rich player was like, yo, get on the fucking court. I was like, yo, Rich.
Starting point is 00:07:34 He was like, yo, they're not going to tell you no. Get on the court. We walked in. Nickas was like, yo, that's Joey crack. They opened up the rope. Like, we were supposed to be there.
Starting point is 00:07:43 We're up in there and partying. We're wilding y'all. understand, man. I come from the projects. I used to sit upper deck in the macho man, Randy Savage seats to be down here celebrating with my team after 28 years on the court and not doing too much. You know, I could have been disrespectful and really ran up in there. But I was just playing my position, hanging out with everybody having the greatest time in the world. Nothing felt like that. We went to the airport. Shout out to Cleveland, but. Man, you know I ate a beef jerky for dinner in the All-Star weekend from the gas station.
Starting point is 00:08:25 The Gas Station is a All-Star game in Cleveland. I ate a beef jerky shit. It ain't no fluidity out there like that. But we went to that private airport. They had about 30, 40 planes. New York came. I mean, yo, New York got some. Yo, everybody had a plane, nigga.
Starting point is 00:08:45 That shit was bumper to bumper. Just G4s, G6, g-s, g-s, niggas had so many planes. So I get on the plane. Shout out to Mr. Dolan. I get on Mr. Dolan's plane. Stefan Marlbury's there with us, you know. Steph, it was the smoothest. I think the richer you are, the smoother the pilots they get, right?
Starting point is 00:09:07 Because I never been in the back. That shit was like this. And I'm scared to death. But I'm still, you know, and I'm reminiscing with staff. I'm reminiscing with everybody. We just, nobody could believe it. Where you was at?
Starting point is 00:09:22 You was watching at home? Where you was at? Yeah, yeah, I had to stay. I had my goddaughter's, my goddaughter turned one. I had to go. But they offered me family and friends. That's why I ain't go to them.
Starting point is 00:09:35 What you mean? They offered me. Bro, I bought court side. They turned around and said, Joseph Carter, Gina, you dead. No, no, I'm passing on them. No, no, they did. They dead me.
Starting point is 00:09:44 I paid for the same. seats. They dead me on the seats. They was not playing. Hold up. Somebody got to pass the rule with them. Hold up. The fans of Cleveland were very respectful.
Starting point is 00:09:56 I got to admit to you. It wasn't like the other fans. No, they wasn't like Philly. Philly was trying to fuck Fad Joe up. I almost had like 10 fights in Philly. Cleveland, they showed nothing but love. And you know, I told them. I went on ESPN.
Starting point is 00:10:11 I said, you know, I'm Joey Bone. I'm done with Bone Thunton, homie. Yeah. I'm original member. He's 1999. No fuck with me. It was like, yo, Joe, but ain't you worried about walking around Cleveland?
Starting point is 00:10:22 I'm, you crazy? I'm Boothugs and Harmony. I'm original founding member of Bone Thugs and Harmony. Joey Bone. Mo Doug. Joe, Bill. Sick. Joey, Boone.
Starting point is 00:10:35 Let me tell you something. We went in the chip. I don't want to hear it's good enough. I don't want to. I'm never been one of those. You never been that. Yeah. I'm not sad.
Starting point is 00:10:45 Too close, but no cigar. You know, some guys, you know, the pundits, well, my man, Perk, big perk, we got to bring them on the show. He coined the phrase, big body bunsen. So the man turned around, and he was saying that they just gave up. They were happy to go to the Eastern,
Starting point is 00:11:05 the Cavs were happy to go to the Eastern Conference. So he just gave up. And I know guys like that. They cool with being in second place. They cool with just, you know, they'll go to the chip and they lose no problem. You know, James Hardin's a bum. Like, let's be clear about that shit. He stunk up the place.
Starting point is 00:11:24 He's a black cat. If you're gambling and casino James Harlan pull up, stop gambling. Like, walk out the casino, go somewhere else, go to Lucky Strikes down the block. Because that motherfucker, a black cat. The bid, man. What happened to the bid? Trash records. We got to sign them.
Starting point is 00:11:45 Trash records. Trash records. Who would you rather play? I play anybody. Are anybody killers right now? We anybody. And we're going to do it disgustingly. If not a sweep in five games.
Starting point is 00:12:01 Whoever we play, Wemby, whoever. Yo, bro, they playing championship basketball. Shammett broke a record. This one broke a record. That one broke a record. That one. We won 12 in a row. that in deciding games, nobody has ever won by 30 points,
Starting point is 00:12:19 three different series in a row. I mean, other than ourselves, sleeping on the Knits, ourselves, they got to be over there like, yo, they come in like a fucking lawnmower. Like, them guys are on all cylinders, be. And nobody cares. You already know when it's a real moment, you need a real bottle. That's why we rock with 1800 tequila. These people been making tequila,
Starting point is 00:12:43 for 11 generations. That's a legacy. That's the OG status. They were the first to introduce a nejo. Set the standard before most of these brands even existed. And you can taste the difference for real. The 1800 Cristilino and Respasado is what we've been on late. Smooth, clean, elevator.
Starting point is 00:13:07 No rough edges. Just a premium pour that speaks for itself. You know when something is just. Built right, that's what this is. Real talk. That's just what it is. It's always around for the best nights, the wins, the celebrations. They remember that night's stories.
Starting point is 00:13:25 Whether you're keeping it low-key with the crew, or you pull up to something big, 1800 fits every setting. It ain't trying too hard. It's just as that. 1800 tequila, real legacy, real smooth. That's the move. Oh, I got to talk about my top five nicks. They got real mad at me.
Starting point is 00:13:49 Everybody was screaming at me. They was tight. That was a nice list, man. I ain't mad at that. Spike was beefing when he was Willis Reed. I said, before my time, Spike. He said, Frasier, I know Clyde was probably the greatest nick of all time, but before my time. I do Bernard King as the greatest, because I remember watching on the black and white TV with my grandfather.
Starting point is 00:14:13 Sitting on the floor, fat kid watching them go to work. So I said it right, Bernard King. We win the chip. When we win the chip, Jalen Brunster is the all-time number one neck. Bottom line, they ain't no way around it. But I just like how Carl Anthony Towns took a step back. He's just playing team ball.
Starting point is 00:14:33 Everybody playing team ball. Every day, you don't know, two days ago was hard. Yesterday was sham it. Anybody on this team is explosive. So I'm not saying Shout out to Big Mitch You Robbins. Like everybody's just
Starting point is 00:14:47 Really doing great on the 10 Ivarado. Even though he got them Am ones on, he's pretty much like the Lofa the Two-time of fella. No.
Starting point is 00:14:57 James got the Averroval. Joe James, you got the A&1s on. You got a fuck it. Now you guys want to go viral. Who's wearing that plastic shit? Can't bring them over here. Put them over here. Let me see.
Starting point is 00:15:10 Put them over here. put them over here Put them over here They make them Shits in like Vietnam or some wild shit Hong Kong's Mongolian No
Starting point is 00:15:25 AN1's just like the strawberry They just changed the name The AM1 The N1 shoe is the one that blew up on Marbury's foot remember The M1 shoe is trash Yo Yo kiss
Starting point is 00:15:38 All right I'm gonna slow up Kiss You kiss Let me tell you a boncintech. You know what boncintjean means gossip? So I'm on my way here and I look at the Instagram
Starting point is 00:15:47 and I see our good girl, young, young Miami. By the way, we've got a hit record. Let me tell you something. Hey, since Joe and Jada, they try to say, you know, my son, my son today was like,
Starting point is 00:15:59 yo, dad, when y'all first played today was like, yo, why is Joe, why Jada and Joe Hacking like they like, they like that song? Now they're like, that shit is a hit. That shit is a missile.
Starting point is 00:16:09 Here, we are not biased. A hit is a hit. The problem is he's so pure a top five dead or a live, fat Joe digging in the craze. They can't believe that when we hear a commercial hit and be like, that's a hit. We did it before anybody. We debuted that song. We knew it was a hit. And now everybody's spending that shit.
Starting point is 00:16:29 Spend that shit. That shit is a smash. What's crazy is, I just seen some shit. I don't know if she's lying. But she said $2.3 million. motherfucker gave a 2.3 million. Google what she said exactly. Diddy?
Starting point is 00:16:44 To go on the date. I don't know if it was Diddy. Was it Diddy? Diddy. You wasn't reading the whole article? It said Diddy gave it out of the day. She got Jordan Pussy. Two three.
Starting point is 00:16:53 Yo. Okay? Yo. No. Y'all, let me tell you something. 2.3. You must really want a girl for that. Right?
Starting point is 00:17:03 And that's like, ladies, I know you're in the, that's automatic. Right? Like that's like smash mountain. Like that's like there's no way around that. If anybody 2.3 million is smash mountain. No, smash mountain. 2.3 million dollars? You got to be out of your cotton picking money.
Starting point is 00:17:26 2.3. This is like, you know, some guy, a guy feel like it'd be fly a girl somewhere, whatever. He got to smash. I remember back in the days in the Bronx, if you took a girl to City Island. That was like 2.3. Yo, City Island? Sammies? Samis was 2.3.
Starting point is 00:17:46 You took a bitch to Sammy. That was 2.3. Like, that's got to go down. Like, you can't go back to the hood. Like, yo, I ain't smashed. I took her to Sammy. They brought out the cheese. Like, what?
Starting point is 00:18:02 She's our girl. Yeah. We fucking love her. 2.3 is. Ooh. That's butt-negut records is all in. Rest of peace, raw bass. Definitely.
Starting point is 00:18:14 Rest and peace, the raw bass. I thought it was fake because he posted me on Rock the Bell. So I'm like, you know, just some bullshit. And he's like, yeah, he passed away. I'm not a forever legend right there. Let's have a toast in his memory real quick. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's do it.
Starting point is 00:18:30 I'm with that. 1800. 1800. 100. Rest of peace, raw base, the living legend. Definitely. Love you forever, man. Thank you for everything you've done for hip-hop music.
Starting point is 00:18:41 Your family. We love you guys. You ever had interactions with Rob Bix? Because I'm about to tell you the Joe Crack and y'all going to say it's cat. But, you know, I'm going to tell you my history with Rob Bates. When I was a kid, 12, 13 years old, I used to work at my uncle's bodega on 132nd in Park Avenue. Rob Bass is from the projects across the street. You know who else was from them projects?
Starting point is 00:19:15 Mitch Blood Green, the nigga who fought Mike Tyson. He come in a bodega every day buying a 40-ounce and he'd be on that Andrew Dust on the 10-speed bike, Mitch Blood Green. He used to tell us he was going to fight Mike Tyson. We'd be like, get the fuck out of here. Jerry curls, too. He had the Jerry Curl juice. But Rob Bass lived in the projects.
Starting point is 00:19:35 And similar to somebody from your neighborhood or my neighborhood, I was just a kid watching the come up. So I'm working in the bodega across the street from his building. I'm watching the first limo picked them up after they dropped the song. I'm watching them get dapper dan shit. Like, I'm watching the whole shit as a little kid from the bodega across the street. They come in the bodega. They get the sandwiches to Fat Joey.
Starting point is 00:20:01 And his partner died too, easy rock. Easy rock. You know, and then in that section, They had these promoters called Mike and Dave. They used to throw the jams. So say, like, you had Coalherkin, all them in the Bronx. And Harlem, the first guys throwing the meaningful jams was Mike and Dave on Park Avenue, too. So it was like, you know, I was in the castle, and we was all in there deep.
Starting point is 00:20:32 And then Rob Bessie probably was doing the flow job doing three shows a day, trying to get that 1500, 1500, 1500, but it takes two is number one. And I remember we waiting and it's late, it's like three in the morning and the whole crowd
Starting point is 00:20:49 peacefully, like synchronized sermon, go, woo, yeah, yeah. They did that shit for like 10 minutes and out of nowhere that shit came on. I don't want to rock right now. And that shit was a body on
Starting point is 00:21:08 Broadway. Shout out to Right. Base, man. That's classic. Norrie calling me crying yesterday. That's the only shit. No, I'm crying.
Starting point is 00:21:17 He's in tears. Yo, we walk. Where he was at? He was in Costa Rica. Chilling on a yacht or some shit. He was like, yo, this shit was emotional. I seen Worldwide West crying.
Starting point is 00:21:31 But I feel like we got to win the whole shit before I cry. It's neon rose is white. Is he white? Yes. I seen him for the first time yesterday. I didn't... He looked white to me. I never thought he was black.
Starting point is 00:21:46 You thought Leon Rose sound like a black name. You never seen him? Yesterday for the first time. I seen him. It's a good dude. So you're telling me, Leon Rose sound like a white man's name? No, it sounded like a black man.
Starting point is 00:21:59 And he been recruiting like a black man. He knows the game like a motherfucker. But you know that World Wide West, too, man. Uncle West, Sean. Uncle West. everybody who ever had anything to do with the Knicks. And guess what? Let me tell you something.
Starting point is 00:22:14 Just because Spike Lee, and I love you, Spike, this is not really a shot, but I'm going to just break this down. Just because he's been courtside before me doesn't make him a bigger New York Knick fan to me. Now, just because we're courtside don't mean we're bigger fans than Louis de McKenney.
Starting point is 00:22:36 You get what I'm saying? A true fan Is a motherfucking fan I see motherfuckers crying all over the grand Grown men, grandfathers, everything Man, this is about the fans You know So just to somebody sit
Starting point is 00:22:51 Courtside or something like that That shit really don't mean You're a bigger fan Than anybody else Because people You know, I was What I was doing today is I was calling All my number one fans of the Knicks
Starting point is 00:23:04 Like the Barba What's my man, Rico the Barba? I was calling everyone I know that died by the Knicks. Like, yo, we did it. They were like, yeah, Joe, yo, this, this, that. What a beautiful feeling. We're going to feel even better with the four wins.
Starting point is 00:23:19 Any predictions? Hard Rock bet is got to be two to one odds to win the whole thing. The Knicks? Two to one odds. I like that. Wow. We never been favorite for shit. They still, we break in every record created and they still sleep.
Starting point is 00:23:34 Do you think, is it possible? we're not doing nothing different than Golden State was doing when they was at the fucking prime of, you know, and we was looking at them like they're unstoppable. You know, I don't know why motherfuckers want to stick on the Knicks. Nixon's six. You got Knicks and six? I got Knicks and five.
Starting point is 00:23:55 Against either opponent? Anybody. Anybody. Wimbabba is going to get posterized by OG or somebody early. They're going to do him early. I'll go down. down your throat like Barclay. You see them car keys, you'll never get these.
Starting point is 00:24:12 That's not what he said? I'll throw it. I'll throw it down your throat. That sounds more like a voice. What the fuck you're talking? You said, I'll go down. You'll pause that one. I'll go down your throat like Barclay.
Starting point is 00:24:28 Man, you start getting the clear, right? I almost checked myself. I'll go down your throat like Barclay. You see the car keys, you'll never go. get these. They belong to the T.S. Horsey. Man, let me tell you so.
Starting point is 00:24:41 And then also, do you like Brunson as the finals MVP, which his odds are plus 250? If the Knicks win Brunson, definitely MVP. Super. That's the free as bet. Yeah, that's free money.
Starting point is 00:24:56 That's hard rock. Free money. No, we got a Detroit guy over here. No more Pistons, jerseys, huh? No more fuckers. Yeah. No more pistons. They don't caught trout already, sea bass.
Starting point is 00:25:09 They don't caught every kind of fucking fish you could think of already. They imported by yacht. Costa Rica for good fishing. They caught every kind of fish you can fight. No, they caught everything. They caught sardines, all type of shit. Mawfucka out of here. Detroit, ha, ha, we got to go there to see you.
Starting point is 00:25:29 The motherfuckers. I told the guy, the guy, I was trying to take it easy. Because I can't lie to you to Nick fans, they're so disrespectful. And I was in the arena and they're like, let's go. It was out of control. And I'm sitting next to a guy who's obviously a real Cleveland fan that he got a shirt on 2016 when they bought the chick, won the shit.
Starting point is 00:25:51 Obviously, he was in his feeling. So I was trying to keep it light for him because he was a nice guy. And I was like, yo, thank you. Y, they did a hard work. The only team I was worried about was Detroit. And y'all got rid of them for us. You know, that was, you know, we'll see them next year. No.
Starting point is 00:26:08 We ain't worried about me. Detroit died of year? No, we see him next year. You know what I mean? Starting point is 00:28:19 And guess what? We have some big news. What's the news, Nick? Huge news. We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas. We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it.
Starting point is 00:28:28 We just contributed to it. We're the first people to do podcasts. Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts. We're starting a trend. But this one's extra special. So how did we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys? I honestly don't remember.
Starting point is 00:28:40 I think it was on a call about what we should call it. Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers. This is how you guys remember it going down? Yes. I have a very different memory of this. We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
Starting point is 00:28:59 where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas. And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title. for the podcast. But thanks for remembering that, guys. Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Starting point is 00:29:16 Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes.
Starting point is 00:29:38 Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, fam, it's Isaiah Thomas. And I'm C.J. Toledano, and our podcast Point Game is about defying the odds. Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed. And finding ways to win no matter what. He's the smartest player to ever play the game. His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before.
Starting point is 00:30:03 And he knows. without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game. We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs. I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup, he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid.
Starting point is 00:30:19 He has to guard Julius Randall. And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense. And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too. Steve Nass would get that thing. That man, hell get the flying.
Starting point is 00:30:33 man, he running up the court, licking his fingers, why he got the ball, like, after you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah, you figure it out real quick. Oh, yeah. Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball. So listen to Point Game on the Iheart Radio app,
Starting point is 00:30:48 Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Drake had three albums. Broke the internet, he broke the world. Go. See, the problem I have with this. The problem I have with this is do I take the Tony Yeo approach and say suck my dick to anybody who disrespect 50 cents? Or do I just be fat, the honest fat joke, right? So it doesn't sit right with me that he disrespect the DJ Callet.
Starting point is 00:31:26 It just can't sit right with me. You know, we about loyalty. I've always supported Drake my whole life. But it's hard to digest this album, me being fat Joe, with somebody just. I'm out of, for one. For two, I don't like the fact, see, that's what's wrong with hip hop. Now it's lines.
Starting point is 00:31:56 Is it visible lines? Is this and that? Is it beef? Is it hip-hop? What can be said? What can be said? It's supposed to be musical. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:32:09 Then it gets to a point where it's not musical. Then it's not hip-hop. That and the whole thing is... So you say... What's fucking up to culture and what's not? Let me ask you question. What's over the line? Is it almost like the Kevin Hart Roast
Starting point is 00:32:24 where you sit there... Are you supposed to be DJ Callet and the man disrespect you and you just like, yo, that's hip-hop. That's a great song? Somebody dissed you on a song. I'm coming back with you. know it's going to happen.
Starting point is 00:32:36 Calhant ain't a rapper. He got a whole rap. He's got you. He got trade. He got people. He got money. He got money. Go to fucking.
Starting point is 00:32:47 Go in the phone. It's going to help yourself. It's only hip-hop, right? Yeah, it's only hip-hop. But to a certain and I feel, I feel, I feel some people's feelings get, you know what I mean? Yeah, I just felt like it was a form of bullying, right? because how did you say that?
Starting point is 00:33:06 Hold on. I'm sorry to cut you off but the whole world when it gets rid everybody with it gets me only that's going against Drake
Starting point is 00:33:14 right you know who did go against Drake future and he got a song he might have fixed it shit it's fixable
Starting point is 00:33:23 well Calit ain't never disrespect Drake how you know how Drake feel about what he
Starting point is 00:33:30 think Calid might have did to him did anybody asked Drake with the countless duty. No.
Starting point is 00:33:37 No. So you got to find out that. How'd you like the album? I only listened. I didn't get to all three of them. I didn't finish all three. I only been listening to that song make them pay for days.
Starting point is 00:33:54 Who the free? Yes. The problem is the song he discal it on is the hottest fucking song on the album. That shit is crazy. dog, if you deal with rap and bars and breaking down shit, it's
Starting point is 00:34:10 some crazy shit on it. It's really hot. It's song. The song is crazy. It's a hell of a structure. I said, Dan, why he did some more the best song on it. On the fucking album, I just want to be free. That shit crazy. I'm like,
Starting point is 00:34:27 fuck. So the honest fat Joe was like, I was trying to hate, and then every day a different song, grew on me and I'm like, all right. This album. We got the other one I like, too. What I need?
Starting point is 00:34:40 Some head. What I heard that? Oh, Shabang! That's crazy. Listen. That's crazy. Six God. Work it out with your brother, man.
Starting point is 00:34:54 So we can bring this whole, this whole more card back. You know, this love fest. Let's bring it back, man. Work it out with your brother or Cali. Work it out with your brother. brother, but I don't like feeling like this. Because, you know, Drake has always, you know,
Starting point is 00:35:10 he's been one of my favorite rappers in the world. And now I feel like, you know, you know, sometimes they force your hand where you don't, you know, one time I had to knock a guy down the stairs and I had to tell him before I did it. It was like, yo, I really liked you. Did he push him that? No, I had to push him down the stairs and wait for him down the stairs
Starting point is 00:35:31 and beat him up when he was down the stairs. But while I was doing it, I was telling the guy, yo, I like you. Why? He stole like a dat from the studio. We was working on Flojo. And that was Flojo, Fat Joe, too. So it was like, you know, I gave him a whole speech.
Starting point is 00:35:50 You know, yo, man, why you do this, man? I really like you, this, this, that. But down the stairs, you go. Timber. Sticks, Trey. Max B. Big Daddy. King. I ain't like that.
Starting point is 00:36:09 But, you know, I'll come from where you gotta mind your business. Even though sometimes it's hard. You know what I mean? Really? Yeah. I mean, I use that I use that for any. You know what I'm saying? If you use it for
Starting point is 00:36:26 everything, it's easy and less than this. You know, the AC's out of control. If somebody... It killed us. I'm already dead. My arm, my ears like the guy's, from Mr. D. Denise. I'm like,
Starting point is 00:36:39 this shit so cold, I think I'm catching the Ebola, some shit. Yo, what the fuck? This shit, my man. The herringitis.
Starting point is 00:36:47 What's the other one? They stuck on the yacht, the herringitis. This shit is cold and in fire. Y'all might have called a fucking herringitis. The hunter virus. This shit. The Ebola.
Starting point is 00:37:01 All that shit. I didn't even know. It's vent over here. Remember, I was always good. It's the most history. It's something right here. The back of your neck, huh?
Starting point is 00:37:12 What the f***? The beatings. What is the B-TUs? You know who I want that? What shit is crazy. You got to talk about the MaxV. Remind me because I forget. But I want Bill Burr back.
Starting point is 00:37:26 I feel like I ain't handle him correctly. I got to shop at my way. I got to sleep 12 hours the night before. They built by alone. man. No, no, no, no. I watched that episode. I said, this motherfucker disrespect.
Starting point is 00:37:42 He said, yo, would you get gang-fucked in jail? I'm like, yo, I didn't notice he was saying that. When I went back and watched the episode, he was like, Joe, you're talking about a haircut. He wasn't worried about getting gang bang by the rival gang. I said, this motherfucker, he's a little guy. I thought he was saying, I said, damn, this nigga was kissing me. I said, Bill Burr, we need you back. Bill Burr, we need you back, motherfucker.
Starting point is 00:38:11 We need you back. But listen, Max B, he cannot disrespect the institution of hip-hop. The institution. We're big fans of Max B. We support him. When we brought him up here, we bumping his music. We loving him. We're encouraging him.
Starting point is 00:38:31 I got too much love for him. his success, his grind. But to disrespect, like, I felt like me, I looked at it and I was like, yo, this is like pretty much. Now, Gillian Wallow should have stopped. Everybody, that shit should have never came out.
Starting point is 00:38:48 If they could, I know everybody want to go viral. You got some shit. You know how much shit we erase? Why? Why? Who said you let people say what they're going to say. I got that from you.
Starting point is 00:39:00 Okay. They knew what that was going to do. and they let that bitch go. And these guys, Wallow, you're one of the most respectable guys. I love Wallow and his approach to everything.
Starting point is 00:39:13 But they let that bitch go to go viral. And, but it's, you know what happens? They start disrespecting all of it. That shit went for like three days without nobody saying that.
Starting point is 00:39:26 I went on my live and I said, yo, I'm not really feeling, all of that. Fucking tornado where people came out of like, uh, somebody said,
Starting point is 00:39:33 I don't like it either. Then they start playing Big Daddy Kane all over the Instagram. Like, yo, bro, let me tell you something. You can have nobody disrespecting the institution, the pioneers, the legends. You can't, unless it's personal, if somebody's bumped into each other backstage and suck by dicks of wild shit, then nothing we can do about it. But you can't do that. And Max B, he did.
Starting point is 00:39:59 Now let's give Max B. Max B was in a time machine. He was dead alive for 18 years. He comes out, his man is super caked up with the princess of Dubai. And he's caked up on his own. Takes him straight to the fucking court side at the Jets. Right out of jail. A week later.
Starting point is 00:40:22 Sick. Courtside at the Jets. What we call that? What is it? I don't know football. Huh? He's on the field right out of jail. 18 years in jail.
Starting point is 00:40:32 You go right. there and your favorite team, you're on the field. A week later, you got a number one hit in America. This nigga don't know what's going on right now. He just knows he's getting money. He's hot. He's Max V. So he just got a little too cocky.
Starting point is 00:40:50 And he was feeling himself. And so he said, you know, everybody, you know, you think you top five. I think I'm the dawn. I think everybody getting their own bubble. He's in his own bubble to where Max Vee is really walking. around thinking he's the hottest nigger on earth right now. Let's don't be clear. I'm telling you, he just
Starting point is 00:41:09 came out of jail, he stepped out into the court side. Listen, you have your own fucking mind. You can think whatever you want to take it. Then you know what the fucking reality is. Is it difference in thinking and knowing something? That's it. Is there an amount
Starting point is 00:41:25 of money that they could pay you to fight another rapper or something? Is there a amount? Yeah, yeah. Hell yeah. You do, yeah, you'll do it. Kidding me? Hell it. You would do a celebrity fight. If the Aiden Ross guy come over and says,
Starting point is 00:41:42 y'all, I got $5 million for you. With the right name. With the right name you're going in there? Fis the ass. Aiden Ross broke of the deal. You know, Ray J. hit the canvas. You saw his one pack. He was...
Starting point is 00:42:00 Bind. They hit that nigga with a quick. He didn't... Hit up your mayor. You know, you wouldn't got a man, even earlier. He told them. Because the guy don't even look like he knows out of fight. He only trained for a week. Yeah, well, he took the bag.
Starting point is 00:42:15 He did that. He said, yo, we got $1.8 million. Whatever the price was. And Ray just said, fuck that, I'm going to get that shit. He didn't know he was going to. I'm not going in there getting knocked out. That nigga caught that gali fron. Yeah, but you saw the whole thing was supposed to be scripted.
Starting point is 00:42:29 That's why Ray J was pissed. We don't give a fuck about scripted. Don't let. Ray J spitting his shit. He went in there boxing, the nigga hit him with the fluidity, and he got knocked out. I'm a Ray J.
Starting point is 00:42:41 I love Ray J. He just got knocked out. That's why. I wouldn't do it. That's the shit. You don't play boxing. You play Yati. You play mad of his shit.
Starting point is 00:42:50 Don't play around with boxing. Fucking right. Yo, they kept offering, I think the last offer was $10 million for me to fight $0.50. And the height of the shit, the celebrity dudes, they was like, yo,
Starting point is 00:43:03 10 million. And I was like, yo, I'm not going, that'll destroy my whole career. If I go for 10 million, then a nigga, he wired me like,
Starting point is 00:43:11 give me that. Yeah. Through the roads. 50 cent with a haymaker. Anyway, I don't know how I got sidetracked. But Ray J. got knocked out.
Starting point is 00:43:27 That's safe to say, right? Some of other fights was Johnny Mansell. Who Mansell had a fight? That nigger, Ray J. got knocked out on the dead homies.
Starting point is 00:43:36 Yo. Yeah, Lance Stevenson and Beasley. Yo, I was shocked at that. Lance Stevenson, Konella, a brother. Lance Dofine Beasley out. He tapped them out. Nick a Dofine me out.
Starting point is 00:43:51 Nah, nah, nah. Nick a doffin's a doffin. It's different if you get knocked out. Beasley tapped out. Let me be real. Let me not be fake. knocked out this one day
Starting point is 00:44:04 tap up a nigga choking you to death you ain't got no air I'm tapping now you got that 1.8 nigga yeah all right that nigga
Starting point is 00:44:14 Bidzzi said because I think Beasley tough my whole life I always thought Beasley was a real nigga and all
Starting point is 00:44:21 yeah but he got cut his end his windpipe off he had the time he just said it he tough that nigga what's that record
Starting point is 00:44:31 tap out Tap out. What's that record? Is that Travis Scott? Tap out. A future? One of them says they got a joint court, tap out. That's future.
Starting point is 00:44:41 That nigga tapped out. You seen him before that fight? He was like, I'm him. I mean, he was acting all crazy. Like, he thought this was wrestling or he got wrestled. Beasley, you know what they interview you? Promoting. He was promoting.
Starting point is 00:44:55 He was selling the fight. I can't even say, listen, ninka choked me out. I ain't even going to lie to you. Listen, joking you all, you got no air tap out. You know, Raysa caught that. There ain't no money. Ain't no money worth me stiffing up.
Starting point is 00:45:16 Huh? Yeah, he caught the Martin. Oh, no, Martin caught that. Man, let me tell you something that happened to me that's very unique. You know how I hate planes. I'm coming from Atlanta. I'm going to Tampa,
Starting point is 00:45:34 and we get in the plane. It's a brand new plane, right? So I'm like, yo, this is a nice plane. The man gets, the pilot gets on. It says, hey, everybody, this is the first flight. Human passengers are on this plane. So beautiful brands.
Starting point is 00:45:51 Now, I don't know how I feel about going with an old battle-tested plane. They've been through fucking snowstorms, tornadoes and then baited to African back or the first flight ever to Guinea pig I might have left so loose I was like
Starting point is 00:46:08 they might have left a screw loose I don't I don't know how sexy I felt about the shit this shit and then you know what's crazy is it was a beautiful flight we let oh no it was turbulence the whole flight but we landed safe that's all it matters
Starting point is 00:46:24 that's where I'm at with it now like you know you go out of fucking Vegas. You know, I'm performing every week in Vegas. That shit be like a dead-ass space sex. When that shit go up, you feel like you're on a spaceship for like 15 minutes, and then it's just normal.
Starting point is 00:46:41 I don't know what, I don't know how it should be barred to land or take off from fucking Vegas. I do it every week. This shit is a straight space shit. You're on that bitch, that shit. You be like, yo, is this safe? Like, it's going over mountains and shit?
Starting point is 00:46:58 But what would you rather do? Be on an old plane or a new plane for the first time ever? A medium. A medium plane. You got a full of shit. He's just a professional full of shitter. This guy here, man, I don't know what to do. He'd be boring.
Starting point is 00:47:20 Beverly Hills caught this nigga right here. The medium plane. He's Beverly Hills caught. We're stepbrothers right now. If the dog has a head trees in it, you don't want to fly on it. with ashtrays in it. You don't want to be on them joints. Let me ask you a question.
Starting point is 00:47:33 I ask myself every Memorial weekend. I love it. I perform. I go to barbecues. But are we really glissies for sure? Are we really supposed to be like partying on Memorial Weekend? It's like really for like the soldiers that for us and shit like that. It's like, did we violate?
Starting point is 00:47:52 Like, because you know sometimes a Martin Luther King's birthday, they'd be having the strip clubs with the fly. at Martin Luther King Day and they got them in there with the You ever seen them with the gold chains and all? They just out of control out here. But you got to stop. You ain't never seen Martin Luther King
Starting point is 00:48:07 with the ice style chain. Yo, come the tip drilled Wednesdays. Yo, this shit. I'm cold, you know, I was the whole one. Yo, Kiss, what you think? Memorial weekend? So what?
Starting point is 00:48:23 There's barbecue. My birthday for my whole life. So I never really got caught up with it. No, no. I never thought about it either. I threw part. Memorial Weekend, I started Memorial Weekend in Miami.
Starting point is 00:48:35 I started that shit. Don't lie. You went to them pool parties. You seen them up? I started that shit. When I'll tell you, I'm trying to react. Maybe I'm old, man. I'm old, man.
Starting point is 00:48:46 I looked at the shit the other day. I said, damn, man, these people fought for this country. We over here eating glissies and shit. Thinking this shit, cool. You work with Scott Stewart. Right? Plenty times.
Starting point is 00:49:00 I got witnesses. This ain't cap. So Scott Storch, unlike anybody else I've ever worked with, Lori, if you came up with a melody in your head, he'll put it down. If you came up, if you woke up one morning and you heard, and you went and told him, he will create, win, rea, ream.
Starting point is 00:49:22 Like, he could do anything. So I go to his studio with Scott Storch at the time. good friends with Little Kim. It might have been a situation where I go up in there and I got an idea like I wanted to make like an Arabian beat. Long story short, I told him what to play
Starting point is 00:49:41 on Candy Shop. If I was educated like I am now, I would have 50% of that production. I mean, all these other niggas do it, right? So I'm telling him, bum-b-bun-b-b-b-b-b-and-he- He played a shit. I got Little Kim dancing like move your
Starting point is 00:50:01 body like the snake mama in the studio. Come on, Kim, give it. And then he, we did the beat to Little Kim dancing. Um, bum, um, bough, we make the shit. I leave. At the time I'm young, I'm dumb. Lean back's number one. I'm just thinking I can make a hit every week.
Starting point is 00:50:19 Fuck it. He says, yo, 50 cent came up and he asked him for the beat. I say, he can have it. He called me Two Scott Storch's credit. He called me 20 times. Like, you sure, Joe? This is a hit.
Starting point is 00:50:34 I don't give a fuck. We didn't have no beef or 50 cents yet. Candy shop, man. And it gets me bad every time I hear it because I'm like, no, not that I gave it up, but just this Scott Storch won't admit that I gave him the vibes, the fluidity for that right there. You know what you?
Starting point is 00:50:53 You don't concur with that? Yeah. But Little Kim was there. She concurred. So, you know, whoever was there saw what really happened. But, you know, the man, you know, and they got, what, they got?
Starting point is 00:51:04 Two billion strength, some wild shit. B'bana, bha-than-thar-than-thar-than-thar-T-A-Tolping King. Now, is that one? What a segment. Candy shop to SGA-flopping King. That's like a Laffy-Tephy. Oh, Laffy-Tuffy. What do you think about him flopping like that?
Starting point is 00:51:29 Over the world with it. What do you think about him flopping like that? I think it's basketball. He flops. That's it? Yeah, I don't think he flop every play, though. Nobody flops every play. He flops a lot of the plays.
Starting point is 00:51:44 He got that Kobe. Is they complaining about him flopping on defense or him pushing? No, no, no, no. Him? Every time he goes up, every time he goes, every time he goes, every time he goes, a motherfucking foul. Man, how could you, beat a guy that every single
Starting point is 00:51:59 play he goes, they call a foul. Like, he got that shit. He got that. You know how to draw foul? So you never watched SGA play and felt like some of them shit just bullshit, but not they take it, not they're running with it. He'd be busting niggas ass.
Starting point is 00:52:15 Oh, no, he busts niggas' ass. And they want to use that. The ref is calling it. If the shit work, keep doing it. The ref is calling it. I never liked that. James Hardin, when he used threw this shit all the time. They switched the rules.
Starting point is 00:52:27 rules off of that. Oh, they're switching the rules off of it. FGA is not going to get away. Yeah, they got to do something. They can't do this. The whole world, we all got eyes. And I don't even, you know, I don't even gamble like that. Niggas that gamble all day. They
Starting point is 00:52:43 frustrated. Is there a bet like how many flops this thing? No, because it's not a real thing. How's it not a real thing? He's flopping, bro. His referee's calling it. I got Rizzy break. Joe and Jada Show.com.
Starting point is 00:53:03 We got new merch fresh off the presses. Go get it. Big out of big. Bo. Joe and Jadisho.com. You can get these little cold for a T-shirt
Starting point is 00:53:16 with a hoodie tag. It's my favorite right there. I need an extra large. Show and Jadishow.com. Go there. Get it. Renno mishap? That's embarrassing.
Starting point is 00:53:32 You know what's not embarrassing? using FIG for Home Improvement Loan, a quick, simple, and transparent offer in minutes. Borrow Better with FIG. Visit fig.ca. Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what? We have some big news. What's the news, name? Huge news.
Starting point is 00:53:48 We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas. We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to a... We're the first people to do podcasts. Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there. But this one's extra special. So how do we actually come up with it?
Starting point is 00:54:04 the name Hey Jonas, guys. I honestly don't remember. I think it was on a call about what we should call it. We were thinking, I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers. This is how you guys remember it going down? Yes. I have a very different memory of this. We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, for people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
Starting point is 00:54:27 And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast. But thanks for remembering that, guys. Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it. Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Starting point is 00:54:47 Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement. homes. Those people are starving
Starting point is 00:55:06 for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up fam? It's Isaiah Thomas. And I'm C.J. Toledano and our podcast, Point Game is about defying the odds. Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca
Starting point is 00:55:22 and Austin Reed. And finding ways to win no matter what. He's the smartest player to ever play the game. His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before. And he knows without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game. We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
Starting point is 00:55:38 I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup, he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid. He has to guard Julius Randall. And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense.
