We host the podcast, Hollywood Handbook.
Each week, we talk to someone in show business
and try to help them with their careers
and see what they have to offer us.
Everyone has a good time, and no one gets mad at their publicists
for letting them do our show.
We've had a lot of great guests like Sarah Sherman,
Adam Scott, Danny McBride, Ben Stillard,
and a lot of other big shots that wouldn't be where they are without us.

On the new podcast Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman.
I can wait four hours for the next bus or this random dude is offering me a ride on his
motorcycle.
I chose option B.
I'm Julie Pinero and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without
asking anyone else first.
I'm on a mission to reclaim the word Solita, trading the pity for possibility.

Developers with right-wing ties have purchased hundreds of acres of land.
We need cities on a shining hill.
This is our town, a podcast about what happens when a small town becomes the site of a social experiment and fights back.
Guess you didn't move in on a project?

So I see, yeah, yo, yeah, yo,
like, yo, Barnes, what's up? I'm like, yo,
what's up? We're kicking it, boom, boy.
When we get in the hallway, Puff is like,
yo, man, I want to snuff that in 50.
I said, why?
Because him in 50, like, and I tell people
this all the time. I'm here.
They beef, it's
here. That's outside of my pay range.
Yeah, yeah. I don't know what
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
Like, if I ask you, like, yo, I don't know.
That's over my pay grade.
Yeah, exactly, for sure.
I don't know.
Yeah, yeah.
Because one minute I see these things they speak.
Next minute I see if they don't speak.
I don't know what's going on.
So I don't even ask them.
But I know I told them one thing this time.
I see, yo, if you punch that in the face,
do you see how many is we got to fight?
Your boy, but that's your man, though.
That's his man.
You understand what I'm saying?
He didn't get stabbed.
Right.
Shut the fuck up with him.
Okay.
Brulins.
Rowland.
You get movies with.
Oh!
Brimble!
You're probably, get a...
Look.
All right.
I was going to get on that.
I was just...
That's him.
You know.
Yeah.
You know what I'm...
No.
...the lie's in life that almost killed me.
But see, a lot of people think I'm talking about just the ditty life that almost killed me.
There's so much...
There's so much...
It almost killed me.
You know what I'm saying?
Well, let's get into that.
Tell me.
Are we taping?
All right, copy.
Yeah, talk about it.
Yeah, now, see, when you get the book,
I focus on the Diddy situation because, of course, he's Diddy,
and that's the biggest situation.
That's bigger than me.
Right.
But it's a message that I've been trying to tell for the longest.
Right.
You know what I'm saying?
Like life, man, come on.
We're talking about locked up for a body at 16.
Right.
We talk about let go beat that,
then get locked up for another body at 19.
You know what I'm saying?
Had to do time for that one, though.
But we're talking about that life
that almost killed me also.
So we mixing them both.
So when you finish with that life,
you're thinking like, yeah, okay,
I'm ready to get into this life
because I'm tired of that life.
You know what I'm saying?
The music business.
The music business, period.
Yeah, my shit started getting shot up
when I was in the music business.
And by the way, people,
this is Roger Barnes.
Yeah.
Pop, former security.
Yeah, ex-bodyguard for,
for Puff Daddy, he got the book out.
And like he said, it's not all about Puff.
It's about his life in general.
And he's just talking about his situation.
He's a good friend of mine.
Make sure y'all go get the book.
Where do you get the book at?
Get the book everywhere.
Amazon, Walmart, Barnes & Noble.
That's right.
Shopify.
That's right.
Books a million.
That's right.
This ain't the average just your hood book.
Where I'm just letting it go for my bio.
And definitely, and a lot of people know,
we both was locked up together.
He was one of the real ones on Rikers.
So I told him I have to have come on the show.
He's not a guy that's like a gossip guy.
He's a real street dude.
Yeah, but you want to gossip, though.
No, no, we don't want to gossip.
No, we don't.
No, we just want to talk somewhere.
We want to talk.
Like you said, like you just said, the book is about your life.
That stuff, I knew you for years.
I didn't know that you, you know, had a body on charge at 16.
Right, right, right.
And then another one at 19.
I just know you from, you know.
You beat the body at 16, though.
Yeah, beat the body.
Beat the body, beat one body but got charged for another, right?
Right.
I didn't know anything.
Well, the second one I turned myself in for.
Okay.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, they ain't even care.
Matter of fact, the night.
What made you do that, man?
Because it was my man, and that's what I mean by loyalty.
Okay, got you.
You know what I'm saying?
That's why I say, my loyalty go to a whole different,
like people talk shit about profiting.
You know, that nigga, not a lawyer, nigga.
I'm loyalty to a fault.
You know what I'm saying?
But when you get in that type of money and you're that type of person
and you are narcissists and you manipulate,
you know how to use that against a person like me.
I know he's lawy you.
He ain't gonna say nothing.
He ain't gonna do nothing.
He ain't gonna do this.
But back to what you were saying,
murder at 19, I got locked up
for a body at the rooftop roller skate ring.
Right.
It happened so fast, man,
that my man was arguing.
So when I came out,
the dude was like,
yo, now I'm 19 now.
I'm 59 right now.
So imagine what I look like at 19.
You know what I'm saying?
So it was like,
yo, fuck y'all go get him.
But he ain't know my dialogue.
Everybody else knew.
what they came and got me for.
Right.
He ain't know what they came and got me for.
Right.
So make a long story short, you know what I'm saying?
My man got locked up for the body two weeks later.
You know what I'm saying?
The police locked me up first.
Right?
But when the police ran me, they say, yo, he only 18.
They say, yo, he ain't got no record.
So they start asking me questions about my man who got me about 10 years.
You know what I'm saying?
So they're like, yo, where he at?
So I see what they're doing.
So I said, yo, last time I was seeing him, he was at the movie theater.
And they kind of figured that I wasn't going to realize that two of them disappeared.
They actually went to the movie theater that I told them and they was looking for them.
You know what?
So when they came back, they said, you know what, we're going to let them go.
Because they said they locked me up for now having no license.
I know for a fact, everybody know when you grow up in the hood.
Four Deep is not locking you up for a license.
Four Deep is homicide.
Yeah, we're taking them in.
We're taking them in.
You already know.
Four Deep, that's homicide.
You ducking.
So I've seen them.
So I just played like,
I ain't know nothing.
I said,
no, not my license.
They let me go.
So I went and told my man,
I said, yo, they let me go.
He said, I'm going to go get the car
because the car was in his name.
I said, no, I don't want the car, yo.
I said, yo, this is about that body.
He said, now, this ain't about that body, kid.
They let you go.
And when he got, when he went down to get the car,
they locked him up for the body.
And the police told me they sell.
They say, yo, we know what happened.
They said, but you got your whole life.
I'm ahead of you.
My man had already been through the system two or three times for the same thing, but they
could never catch him.
So they said, oh, we got them dead to the right now.
Got you.
You know what I'm saying?
So I went to go to the lawyer.
I said, listen, if I turn myself in, what I'm looking at, he said, this is what you're looking
at.
He said, I think I can get you a five to 15 or three to nine.
He said because their case is all fucked up now because you saying you caught the body and
the witness they got is saying that he caught you.
You know what I'm saying?
So he said, I can get you that.
I said, you can get me that?
He said, I can get you that.
So first I was like, all right, let me go all the way with it.
But I'm be real with you.
My man was calling me every day.
Yo, kid, you're really going to do that?
I said, I'm going to do that, man.
I said, yo, but it's December 23rd right now.
I said, I'm going to turn myself in January 7.
I got to enjoy Christmas and New Year's, you.
That's a better, believe.
I got to enjoy Christmas and New Year's.
You know, that's a real shit I have.
That's solid.
That's how I said, January 2nd, I'm going to turn myself in.
Let me get the first out the way.
Because your man I was locked up was trying to get home for Christmas.
Of course, he went.
He called me every day.
And I'm like, hold up, but nigga ain't really supposed to be doing this shit.
And I'm going to be real with you.
My pops is in my ear.
My father's in my ear.
Your pops is like, yo, you bugging.
You bugging.
My father said, yo, you're in the streets.
He in the streets.
He knows how the streets work.
If you got away, you got away, son.
Don't fuck your life up.
And I'm like, no.
I agree with your dad on that one.
I agree with him now, but I agree with him back there.
Because of how things turned out between you and home, I guess.
No, no, that's my man.
So to this day, that's still my man.
You know what I said, man, he took the bid.
Yeah, and what made me mad about that murder,
to tell you the truth is when I came home,
he ended up clapping the nigger anyway and doing seven years.
So I said, damn, nigga, you could have took that first one if that was the case.
Word.
All right, I get it.
Okay, I get it.
Okay, I get it.
See, this is why I would never do that time for murder.
I always feel that.
Grimy-ass, nigga.
Y'all see my grimy-ass co-host, man can't fuck with this nigga.
You do the time for murder.
You come out of clapping, nigger.
You come out of a coppin, nigga.
Like, when you do something like that, that's what you said.
Say what your dad said.
Say what your dad said?
We know, we in the streets.
We know how I go.
Yeah.
Back, you know how I go.
We are in the streets.
He's a real loyal one for that one.
And he said, you're my son and anything.
He said, don't do it.
I said, now I'm going to go do it.
And I went down there and I did this.
What you wanted him getting for that?
Five of fifteen.
Five to fifteen.
Look at that.
Look at that.
And it was five or fifteen.
Remember, Cuomo was in office then, right?
Not only did I get five or fifteen.
For a body back then?
Oh my God.
What?
Not only did I get five or fifteen.
I did three and a half.
You know what I'm saying?
And then they gave me work release.
They don't get work release to violent people no more.
But when Cormo was in there,
if you went up north and kept your nose clean,
you coming home on the body.
That's crazy.
You know what I did three and a half.
Then I came out on work release,
but the only thing is on work release.
police, she slammed.
You know what I said? I went to, I went to, I went to the parole board a year and a half.
She said, oh, I don't know how you got this time.
And she gave me two more years, but two more years of work release.
So I ended up doing three and a half there, three and a half work.
I looked at work release as a bank.
Right.
Because I was getting money.
So all I was doing was taking the money that I got from work and you got to turn that
into work release.
And they hold that for when you leave.
I'm at work release for three and a half years and you hold on my checks.
So I walked out of work release.
My car was parked in front of work release.
Police used to laugh at me.
You know I've seen you get out of that car, right?
Right.
You see me get out of what car?
You park right around the corner because you ain't supposed to drive enough in the work
release.
I used to park and jump out of the tin of window car and then go in.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
Not only that, I see you on 117th Street.
Yeah.
Oh, you see me on 117?
So them work release police be kind of different because they know you in the streets
and they know they see you in the streets.
Right.
So it's different.
You ever wonder like when you're on an island
sometime or even when you go up north
and you say where these niggis live at?
Because I don't never see these niggas.
You know what I'm saying?
When you're in work release, you bump it to them niggis.
So I used to bump it to them all the time.
So long story shut, I turned myself in for that
ended up doing the 5 to 15.
Me and my man still cool, still tight,
but he just stopped getting money.
You know what I'm saying?
So when I see these stories,
the niggas doing half of what I did,
but they did it for a nigga that's still getting money
and they took them care of.
I'd be like, damn, I wish I could do this shit all over again.
I'd do this shit for a nigga that's really getting money for a long time.
Not this going to go out here and kill another.
And he killed another nigga who was robbing everybody.
See, one thing about us, we ain't never getting into no beef with niggas dead was innocent.
We got into beef that caught bodies with niggas who other niggas ain't have enough hard to take care.
Right.
So when you got into it, you ain't have to worry about a whole bunch of niggas telling it because they was happy the niggas dead.
So you ain't have to worry about nothing coming.
behind you. You know what I'm saying? So I did that, came home, chilled for about five years,
and then loyalty caught me again. And this is all, and this is all on the book. Make sure you
catch the book, yeah. Definitely. And loyalty caught me again, but loyalty caught me on the Fed's side
this time. Right. My man called me from jail. He said, yo, B, the niggas just ran off with
eight keys. Right. So I said, yo, I thought you wasn't hustling no more because the Fed
snatched them up, right? So this is my man in one aspect.
But on another aspect, you just showed me that you wasn't my man
because you were scared to fuck with me when you was locked up
so you lied to me that told me you wasn't hustling no more.
Because you were scared to give me some shit so I could rock.
So what he did was he gave his girl some shit.
So his girl, niggas know that his girl, that he locked up.
So when niggas get the eight keys from his girl,
they say, oh, fuck you.
We're not paying you.
So now everything that goes around comes around.
He comes back and he calls me.
y'all need you to go holler at somebody
all right we're gonna skip the fact
that you were still doing what you're gonna do
but yo what happened
now he's trying to tell my girl
she got to give him some pussy and all that
if he don't get I said I'm gonna go holler at the nigger
so for me going to holler at the
nigga I never knew that my man
was on the telephone and he
called me from that room
where them people come
and get you come on
so he's calling me with them people on the phone
already so I just talked away into
a case because I told the
I was going to go holler at them niggas, yeah.
In which I did go holler at the niggas, y'all, yo, I ain't know, yo, yo, it's over.
But now the feds is looking for this nigger.
So the girl goes and tells him, and my man tells him the situation and says, yo, my girl can't find him.
So guess who they come get?
They come get me to find that niggins.
So I said, yeah, what's my charge or a telephone charge, zero to five years?
I said, so give me the five.
And I got up from the table and I left.
And I ended up doing that whole pound.
And the charge carries from zero to five.
You know what I'm saying?
So they could have let me walk up out of it and go home.
But being that I ain't play baseball with the niggas,
they said, okay, you're going to get the whole five.
So they gave me the whole five.
I took it on my children.
Don't call me on them jail phones, man.
I tell everybody that now.
Don't call on them jail cell phones.
One of my men was still, one of my men's with me when he called.
And nigg was in the back like this.
tell that nigga I'm here with you.
But I ain't get it because I'm thinking this is my man.
He ain't gonna do that to me, y'all.
And sure enough, he was on the phone with them people.
He did that. Look at that.
There you go, man.
Don't talk on the phone.
So that's why I say loyalty.
You know what I'm saying?
So now we get to the puff situation.
Yeah, fast forward to that because, you know,
we was on the island together, shelter, my man, Barnes.
Like, we got, this is my homie.
And now, we, you know, he was on his way to success as well as me at the same time on the
Allen. So, you know, I came home, he came home around the same time, I believe.
Right, right.
And- Nah, now, then you went back.
Yeah, I went back the next day for a little passport shit, right?
Yeah.
But you was home and you was with Puff Daddy.
Like, I know you from Harlem, but.
Nah, well, well, I was with Loon first.
Okay.
I was with Loon first.
That was my man from a kid.
I was with Loon first.
And then one of my men that came home from a body ended up getting the Puff.
But I used to take him down there all the time.
So Uncle Paul, he was like, yo, I be seeing that kid we're doing all the time.
Yo, what's the story?
And my man said, oh, you don't know Barnes.
Woo, woo, woo.
Long story short, he gave me the stamp.
So he said, yo, come on down.
You know, we want to talk to you.
So when I went down there to talk to him, you know, we started rocking together.
And then it was a situation with Jay Z and R. Kelly in our Madison Square Garden.
Oh, you was there for that?
They was on tour.
Oh, yeah.
Jay Z and R. Kelly, I think Tadai May star Kelly back in the day.
back in the day.
Yeah.
So I was there.
Allegedly.
So what happened was so happened?
Yeah, what happened?
Yeah, what happened?
All right.
So what happened was me and Puff went in.
Me and Puff went in.
We was in the audience.
And then the lights went out.
And the whole Master Square Guard for about 10 seconds.
And then the lights came back on.
And O'Cellee was like, you know, I can't do this.
And he just dropped the mic and walk off.
So Puff looked at me.
He said, oh, is that shit for real, Bob?
I said, I don't know.
I'm out here just like you, man.
I said, yo, and he took off.
So he took off running backstage.
Now, mind you, we're in the regular audience.
Who took off?
So, you know, when security see him,
you know how they be downstairs
and they keep that line.
When they see him, of course, they're going to move it.
That's Puff Daddy.
So he runs up on Jay-Z.
And he sees you, what the fuck?
And Jay-Z was like, yo, man, what the fuck?
You read behind him?
Yeah, I was with him.
It was just me and him.
Okay.
So he said, he said,
yo, be this thing he just left.
So I give it to Puff.
You know what I'm saying?
He said, you don't worry about it.
He said, yo, we got this.
He took a chain off his neck.
He had a big, crazy chain on.
He gave it to Jay Z.
He said, all of us is here.
Mary Jay was there.
Your man, Jaroo was there.
Who, my name is saying.
You know what he mean, nigga?
So, so, so, so everybody was there, and Tata was standing right next to me.
So they talked for about 10 minutes.
So now R. Kelly and them getting ready to get back on stage.
So Tata was like, nah, JZ went out front.
start performing again, telling everybody what's going on.
So Tata took the mace out of his pocket.
I grabbed Puff.
I threw Puff behind me because I ain't go to lie.
Al-Celley and the people had the hammers and everything out.
Oh, they had the hammers out.
Oh, yeah, they had the hammers out.
See, O'Kellie is really a goon.
Yeah, he had the hammers out.
So I pushed Puff behind me.
You know what I'm saying?
You know, Puffer's like this.
He was like this in the back.
I was like, yo, man, just get back here, man.
Just get back here.
Yeah, I got this.
You know what I got this.
You know what I'm saying?
But it's the first time he ever.
been with me so he really don't know, you know, what's going to happen.
How you move.
Yeah, exactly.
So then Tata grabbed the dude.
I punched the first kid to try to get up on stage and then Tata just hit everybody.
One of all Kelly man's?
Yeah, one of our Kelly man.
Okay, cover.
So now Puff's see this.
Now he really high.
Oh, shit.
So he, I get me, now at this time, I'm 260.
If you remember.
I'm 260.
And muscles coming out my shoulder.
Copy.
So I didn't pop this nigga, right?
Put Puff behind me.
and Puff said, yo, get tired, get tired.
So I grabbed Ty, and me and Ty
run right across the stage that Jay-Z is on, performing.
We run right across because now the police
is looking for Tata, because everybody is like this back there.
And, yo, yo, even our Kelly, man,
it's like, yo, Tata, why you did that?
Why you did that?
And I'm like, yo, come on, B, let's get the fuck out here.
So when we got a body there,
I put Tata on the yellow cab, and I went to Daddy's house.
And then later on that day, Puff called me.
He said, yo, where you at?
my daddy's out.
He's your coming 40-40, man, somebody wants to meet you.
Say, who?
He said, Jay, keep asking me, who are you?
Ty was talking about you.
Right.
So, you know what I'm saying?
I went to men Jay from there.
And that's how the whole situation after that night, Puff is like, yo, I'm comfortable.
I'm comfortable with this.
For sure.
You see you knocked out one of all Kelly men's?
Yeah.
And that was the album Best of Both Worlds, remember?
Yeah, that was the best of both world.
So now the funny thing about that is, that was a question.
Your man, in fact, Joe.
Project was fine.
Okay.
Joe was there.
Nah, Fat Joe wasn't there, but now Fat Joe calls Puff.
I say, yo, you know who you got with you, right?
He said, oh, you see, you got bonds with you got?
You know, Puff, he's the truth.
Right.
So, after that, Puff is like, you know, because Puff ain't knew me.
So Joe spoke up on me, you know what I'm saying?
And Joe had a beef with game in them back in the days from the 50 cents situation.
Right.
So Puff man, what's his name from out of LA?
The game talk about them on the app, DMAC.
Yeah, DMAC, yeah.
So DMAC is, game is doing a show, but Joe and him is down there at the spot.
So Puff calls me, he said, yo, I need you to do me a favor.
What?
I need you to go with DMAC because Joe already told me how you and him is.
So I need you to roll with DMAC down there just to make sure I ain't no situation jump off.
And ever since then, I started rocking with a homie each and every day.
So he knew the lawyer's he was there because it came from
so many different people in the business.
Like, yo, homie, you don't know, woo, woo, woo.
So that's when I say the loyalty almost killed me because now it's a such thing as
lawy to a fault.
Nigger like me is lawyer to the fault.
Like you gotta really bring it to me and show me that this motherfucker ain't my man.
You know what I feel like that too.
I feel like that too.
And in reality that's bad.
It is.
Yeah, it is.
When you're ready to be seeing signs, but you keep like ignoring it
little bit like, nah, smile, but you see signs.
You see it.
You try to ignore this shit.
I think when you over loyal, it makes your circle smaller and it's more isolation.
You more by yourself.
I think it's just because when you have people around your whole life being loyal to and
it don't get you nowhere.
Like, and then you'll see people come around and like you'll be down with Puff and you'll
be sitting there and he won't throw you a bone.
But see, that's one thing I respected about 50 years because from the beginning, when I came home,
I lived in Battery Puff.
I live by the Statue of the apartment.
Yeah, yeah, that's what I'm saying.
I came to the Statue of Liberty at my apartment because he knew it was a gamble.
If you go back to the hood, ain't no telling what's going to happen.
Especially beefing with the people we beefing with.
So it's like, you know, I was fortunate enough to be in a good situation.
Some people might say, you're glazing.
You're glazing 50, whatever.
Are you a fan?
No, it's not that.
It's the loyalty.
So my loyalty into a fault is to certain people.
Murder, I knew him.
He came around.
I'm loyal to him.
That's my brother.
We got the show together.
We got the dispensary, unit dispensary.
Shout out to them.
So I know what you're saying,
lawyer to a four.
You've been through a lot.
You know what I'm saying?
But I feel like if you stay loyal and stay on that lane,
like look at you now.
You on our show?
Right.
Because you're lawyer.
Right.
You know what I mean?
No question.
No question.
So.
Now, it's like, it's like loyalty.
Loyity is deep, my nigga.
Like loyalty, like when you really sit down and think about what is loyalty,
You got a lot of people to say that they lawy,
but can't show you proof for their lawyer to.
Yeah, you're loyal you to the dollar.
But what if I'm not getting no money is you loyal to me?
That's true.
Facts.
You know what I'm saying?
Facts.
So it's a difference between lawyer to the dollar and then being loyal.
My man couldn't do nothing from me where he was at.
But I'm still loyal.
I can't forget about the nights that we hung out together,
the money that we got together, the times we had together.
The times we said, yo, I love you, my nigga.
You know what I'm saying?
Definitely.
Like, I love you, my nigga.
Like, oh, for real.
Stop for a second.
It was fucked up together, nigger.
We both ain't have nothing together.
When we ain't have nothing.
Fags.
So when you started speaking your truth, right, about situations with Puff, and people, certain
people from his camp looking at you like you're not lawyer or you, or not whatever, like, why
you feel like they feel like that?
I think because, first of what made you get to that point?
Yeah.
What made me get to that point was Cassie.
Right.
Right.
I used to talk to Cassie first of all.
Why are you, why you, you, you, you're going through this.
this, this, that never.
But Cassie was the type of person
that when she got high,
she gonna tell her snick
of everything that y'all talked about.
Copy.
You know what I'm saying?
You know, Barnes was asking me
why I'm still with you?
And then the next thing I got this and yo,
why are you all in my business, playboy?
Damn, that's crazy.
You know what I'm saying?
Oh, shit.
You know what I mean?
Like, it's times where, you know,
we all move around.
I don't know how y'all was moving around,
but I would grab all puff jury,
all puff money, everything else.
You know what I'm saying?
That's how we was moving.
And it was a time where
one of my homies left a diamond ring
on the cabin inside one of the houses.
So when I got out to LA, he's your bonds.
Can you do me a favor?
Get that diamond ring and hold it for me?
And being that I didn't leave it,
I went and got it,
but I didn't have the responsibility
the way that I would
if I was the type of person that left it.
I was like, yo, this nigga left it.
I got it.
I threw it in my pocket.
I put it in the tissue.
Late on that day, I threw the tissue away.
Oh, shit.
But I didn't realize
I threw the tissue away.
to late on that night.
And I said,
Oh shit.
So does the nigger think you stole it?
No, he didn't think I stole it.
Okay.
But I lost it, right?
But I'm the type of nigga
I hand do everything for my own.
He got the shit from Lorraine Schwartz.
I know Lorraine Schwartz now personally
from being with Pupp.
Right.
So I go up there myself.
I say, you know that ring?
One ring was here no evil,
see no evil.
And the other one,
hear no evil, see no speak no evil.
Right.
So this was the speak no evil diamond ring.
$13,000.
Just one little pinky ring, right?
I went up there and told her.
I said,
listen, I ain't got 13 for you right now.
I got two for you right now.
But I'm going to bring you one every week.
I said, we don't need to talk about this.
So she said, this is what I'm going to do for you, Barnes.
She gave me a see no evil,
even though he had a head no evil.
Right.
She gave me the ring.
So I put this shit back in the safe like it never was gone.
Guess what happens?
One of these nights that Cassie gets high with this, nigger,
she runs and telling him,
You know, Barnes lost my ring.
Oh, my God.
So the next thing I hear, somebody over the speaker,
Barnes, Barnes, pick up the, pick up, so I'm in my room, yo, what's that?
Why do you even go tell Cassie?
Why?
Why, you even tell her?
Because it was her ring.
Oh, okay.
So I had to tell her that it wasn't a head no evil.
All right, got you.
It wasn't a single evil.
It was a head no evil.
All right, got you.
On the low, like, you're really, like, you know, let's it.
Yeah.
Got you, okay.
Once he wrapped in it, that's, that makes sense.
Once he wrapped in tissue through it in the gar,
I know it was an issue.
I know it was an issue.
I know at the end of the day, when you hear so many speeches about niggins always stealing,
niggas always doing this, niggas don't take care of their own self.
You stepping up as a man now, going above and beyond.
I went to Lorraine Schwartz herself.
Because you don't want to look like you booked her for it.
Yeah.
I'm going to put it up.
So at the end of the day, I told him, I said, yo, he said, but this ain't the same,
because you got to say something now.
Yo, my nigger, this ain't the same ring though.
A nigger, it's the same ring.
It's just got to.
this. All right. But in the day, I said, yo, puff. I said, didn't you tell me, you tired
the niggas? So what the nigger had? But you had a loud speaker button, like, come to the
office. Like, no, no, no. That's how the whole house is wired. What you mean? You know what
I'm saying? Like, intercom just like in the office. Intercom. So you could press one
joint and it go all over the house. All over the house. You know, like your barns going to pull up
on the nigga. Got you. Right. So like that's, it's like, your Barnes, somebody at that front
gate. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. I didn't like the president. Like, Barnes, get to my
Yeah, or if the niggas say, wrong, like that.
Once I pick up the phone, can't nobody else here.
Cassie on toll again.
No, my nigga, it's 2 o'clock in the morning.
I already know what it is.
It's 2 o'clock in the morning.
We're in the Miami house, so the studio's in the guest house.
I live in the studio.
He in the main house.
So when he called me and said, where you at?
I got some shorties outside.
I'm right in front drinking champagne
because he's in the house, so I'm cool.
Yo, yo, yo, come upstairs.
Come upstairs, mean come to my room.
You in your room with your girl.
I already know what she told.
You know what I'm saying?
So I walk in there like, yo, yo, yo, no.
He said, me, go in the safe and get the ring for me.
So I went and safe, got the ring and I knew.
I said, yeah.
So, but it was, nigga, at the end of the day, it's the same ring.
It got da-da-da-da.
What you're going to say?
So he really couldn't say nothing.
But that's just to say that everything I did lawyer-wise,
she always bit me in the ass.
So now even when this case came out,
it wasn't no other security.
It wasn't no other assistant.
It wasn't no other nobody.
in there. And I ain't been with Puff in 10 years as far as being with him every day.
I still was with Sirop up until 2023. But being with Puff every day, I wasn't with him.
So, and I tell people, I say, yo, why do you think she put my name in that lawsuit?
She said, yo, the only person that helped me when Puff was beat me up was Roger Barnes.
She said, that's the only person. Now, then she dropped her lawsuit in 2024, right?
Oh, she had a lawsuit against you?
No, no, no. Against him. Oh, yeah.
She put his lawsuit in in 2024.
I left his side 2012.
So you're going to tell me another 12 year, well, another, because she broke, they broke
up in 2018.
You think if he would have paid that nut?
Because I already told her like beach sand or something.
No.
He told her 10 million.
She said, no, 30 million.
Oh.
He thought it was a fucking game.
He was sitting on it.
He was sitting on that lawsuit for six months.
And 30 million ain't nothing for him.
And he didn't tell you why.
If he would have just paid it, none of that shit would have happened.
What happened?
None of that shit would have.
It would have.
It would have been swept underneath the road.
Because she opened the whole case.
But I'm going to tell you what happened.
I spoke to him the day before, right?
I spoke to him the day before.
But he still caught the case.
He still caught the case.
He still caught the case.
Yeah, he still had to pay a 30 million.
But you was about to say that he spoke to me.
She got 30 million from him and then she got $20 million from the Intercontinental Hotel.
Damn.
Because they the ones they hid the tape all that time.
Oh, when he was beating in the tail and all that.
So she got 20 million.
So she got $50 million all together.
So you spoke to him the day before though?
I spoke to him.
the day before the lawsuit dropped, right?
It ain't no secret.
Everybody know my son is locked up in Africa.
Yeah, I remember you was talking about that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So.
Just, you're something like in Africa?
Yeah.
For what?
For what?
Yeah.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
All right.
As a matter of fact, he was 20 years old.
He went over there for something else.
He got it to the middle of some shit that he don't know what he's going all the way across
C's to get into.
And he walked into another person murdering the person that he was.
He was supposed to sit down and talk to.
But being that he was from America, they said,
oh, they're the ones that murdered him.
You know what I'm saying?
So we've been fighting that case since back then.
But I called Puff the day before because I needed $20,000
because the lawyer was telling me, I need $20,000.
Right?
So I said, I need $20,000.
So he said, damn, Playboy, I ain't got it right now.
Damn.
Right?
That is what he told me.
Now, I'm watching you do everything just like anybody else watching.
You know what I'm saying?
So he said, damn, Playboy, I ain't got it.
So he said, but I may need you though.
So when he said, I may need you, I said, okay, I've been running this Syrac shit in Atlanta for some years now.
He got this Dalyon shit now.
I said, okay, he must want to get Dalyon because he was suing Diageo.
So I said he must want to get back in the game.
Okay, come on, I got Atlanta sewn up.
Let's do it.
I got the kid Alex, AG, all of them with me.
So let's do it.
We're going to sell this shit out.
But what he called me, what he said he wasn't need me for
is because he knew Cassie had put my name in the lawsuit
because I told you he was sitting on the lawsuit for six months.
But I ain't know nothing about the lawsuit.
So then he calls me back.
He says, yo, I may need you.
What you may need me for?
He still don't tell me.
The next morning, his manager, James Cruz, called me
and say, yo, Barnes, man.
You know your name is in this?
I said, my name is in what?
He said, Cassie just sued him.
I said, yo, this rat motherfucker, he said what?
I said, man, this nigga just told me yesterday he ain't got 20,000, but he may need
a favor for me.
Because, see, at first he was planning to take her all the way to the door.
And then he called me, and this is a narcissist again, if anybody had been around a
narcissist, he's going to tell me what he want me to tell these people.
Because now the post, the post is calling me, and everybody is coming, who's Barnes,
who's Roger Barnes, who's this?
So now he's getting back to me.
So somehow they get my.
number and all that shit. Oh, yeah, yeah. So he says, I may need you because she put your name
in the lawsuit. So I may need you to take the stand for me and say, yo, you ain't seen nothing.
You seen regular shit. Yeah, we fought. This is him talking to me. Yeah, we fought and everything.
And we went back and forth, but you seen regular couple shit. Wasn't nothing crazy. So I'm sitting there,
yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. All right. I'm like, yo, if you want to get in touch with me, playboy,
Hit KK.
Hit such and such.
Yo, if you can't get through me,
yo, it ain't nothing personal
because the nigger been decked
my phone calls now for 10 months.
So now you've decked on my phone call for 10 months,
but yet you're going to call me
and tell me that you need something.
And now, when yesterday,
she called me and said,
you all I got puffed for you on the phone.
Bub, blah, blah.
So now all this is leading
because nothing this nigger do
is not calculated.
Everything he do is for a reason.
I'm going to need bonds in a second.
You know what I'm saying?
Just in case I go all the way.
So he said, I offer the $10 million,
but she won 30 men, and I'm not paying that.
But then the next day was the deadline for her to drop the case.
So she had to put in the case.
And then the shit just went crazy from there.
But he was expecting exactly what I just said.
My loyalty to be to the point where Barnes ain't never getting on no pocket.
Barnes ain't never talking about this, this, that, and the other.
But I tell everybody to work for him, first of all, y'all not going to do nothing.
You know what I'm saying?
So cut the bullshit out.
I already know that.
You know what I'm saying?
Second of all,
everybody who was in the middle of some shit
is me.
You know what I'm saying?
I could go back to a time
where I've seen Yeo and 50 of them.
I think we was at the BET Awards.
Okay, yeah.
Right?
And they was about 20D.
And there was nobody but me and puff.
First of all, I'm mad
because the nigger made me
get suited and booted for this shit.
I don't want to get suited and booted.
Because when shit popped off,
you got me and some shit.
You got me in some shit.
You got the slipping slides on.
But you know, you puff, you the, you know, okay, we got to keep it corporate, I understand.
So I see, yeah, yo, yeah, yo, like, yo, Barnes, what's up, nigga?
I'm like, yo, what's up?
We kickin it, boom, boy.
When we get in the hallway, Puff is like, yo, man, I want to snuff that nigga 50.
I said, why?
Because him in 50, like, and I tell people this all the time, I'm here.
They beef is here.
That shit is outside of my pay range.
Yeah, yeah.
I don't know what the fuck is going.
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
Like if a nigga asks you like, yo, I don't know.
Nigga, that's over my pay grade.
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
I don't know.
Yeah, yeah.
Because one minute I see these niggas, they speak.
Next minute, I see the niggas don't speak.
I don't know what's going on.
So I don't even ask them.
But I know I told them one thing this time.
I see, yo, if you punch that nigga in the face,
do you see how many niggas we got to fight?
Yo, boy, but that's your man, though.
Nigger, that's his man.
You understand what I'm saying?
And this is exactly what I told him.
I said, my nigga, I said, this is his man.
And he said, yo, you right, you right, you right.
And later on that day, we ended up talking to Puff.
And Puff even told him, Puff is like, yo, my nigger, you got that nigger with you.
And Puff's like, yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, I know.
But 10 minutes ahead of time, you wanted to.
You mean 50 told him that you got that nigg?
Nah, nah, yeah, it told Puff.
Oh, okay, okay, oh, yeah, you told Puff.
See, Puff was in my ear the whole time to get in touch.
with Yeo.
Yo, that's your man.
That's your man.
Talk to him so he could get it in 50 years.
You know what I'm saying?
I lied to him to him and I spoke to him.
I didn't.
But I really didn't.
But this night when that happened, you know what I'm saying?
He see you and Yeo in the rack like, yo, my nigger was good and all that's okay.
Right.
So I'm like, yo, but if I, nigger, that's not my man to the point that he going
not look the other way for his man.
That's like a nigga walking up on you at that particular time.
You know what I can't say nothing to the nigg.
Yeah, you're going to get up and do what he got to do.
Of course.
You know what I'm saying?
So puffed on the body.
He said, yeah, yeah, right?
But then we go, we go, right after that, we go to Vegas.
And I've been seeing the shit circulated a lot with 50 jumped on the stage with Jay Z and TI.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I was right there.
You know what I'm saying?
Oh, yeah.
That was crazy.
Kanye, Kanye shit.
Yeah.
50 just bombarded the stage.
Yo, and this is my word.
That shit was not, I'm here to tell everybody on here.
That shit was not playing.
50 ain't give a fuck.
You know what I'm saying?
That nigga jumped on that stage, and niggas was like, you know what I'm saying?
And I forgot the big ball-headed dude that used to be with them all the time.
Big ball-headed dude.
Back in the, we talk of 2005-2006.
Because I remember, I remember that they 50 jumped those things.
Was that frat, Bobby?
No, not.
I don't know.
Big, big dude, about 6-4, 6-5, ball-headed.
It was, was it Chris Lytty, rest of peace, huh?
Yeah, that's who it was.
So they used to be with Chris.
That's what I think.
Yeah.
Oh, he's, yeah.
Oh, he died?
Yeah, I think he passed away.
Oh, yeah, I don't see him no more.
Yeah, big dude.
Yeah.
I forgot his name.
I don't know.
He was there.
And that's why I said, and that's where the respect thing comes in with me because whether
it's one of y'all, was it, was a rich.
It was.
It was.
Rest of peace, rich.
Sorry about that, Rich.
That's the name.
I didn't want to, because that was like family.
It was, yeah.
Yeah.
Big Rich.
They used to be with Chris Slatey.
Yeah, he was with Chris first.
Yeah, he was.
Yeah, he was.
Yeah, facts.
Yeah, Chris.
He was, it was just them two there.
You know what I'm saying?
And when he did that and T.I. I was looking at him, crazy, you know, but what I respect is that nobody could say nothing.
You know what I see?
That's why when I listen to a lot of people talk a lot of killer shit, a lot of gang-shy shit and all that, I say, my nigga, like, at this particular point of time,
homie wasn't running with a million people.
You know what I'm saying?
So if y'all really built the way y'all say,
That's where I come from.
I come from that school.
Yeah, I remember going backstage.
And him and Jake, Jay was laughing about it.
And I think Will Smith was back there.
Yeah.
There was a lot of big names back there.
It was like a crazy moment.
And that's why I say the game is so phony.
The industry game is so, the industry, yeah.
Oh, yeah, we know that.
Yeah, of course.
You know, it's so the same people that's laughing in my face down,
the same people that talk to me now, the same people to talk to me about the book,
I read comments.
I see them same people underneath Pop, Fitch, a year.
You keep doing this, oh, yo, don't work.
about that, don't work.
But then when y'all see me, it's a different story.
To me, that's a coward.
Right.
You know what I'm saying?
Because if you feel that way about, we ain't got no beef.
We ain't gotta be cool.
You sign with homie about the situation.
That's cool with me.
But y'all want to laugh and joke with him and then come laugh and joke with me, then come
laugh and joke.
Nah, it's not like that.
We're going to build that business.
Because a lot of dudes in the industry are for sale.
No, it is for that.
They for sale.
A little bit of you, that's how you never know if somebody going to line you up.
Because a dude could be like you.
come home.
Yeah, take this 10, take this 20.
I still get some money with him, man.
So let me play it cool.
I can still get some money with him when he come home and figure out the way to try to
Yeah, definitely.
This is going to be a lot of dudes to do that.
Yeah, but I tell people all the time, man, like, and I said it that other day, man,
Puff going to have a lot of fights when he come home.
He's going to have a lot of fights, man, because there's no way form of fashion.
You could tell a nigga, you'll be, um, you could come at a nigger like you really want to fight
or you really want some beef.
And I know you've been playing with nuts on your chest.
Like, I can't.
Like, pause.
How we go?
Pause.
No, no, facts.
They might not say it in front of your face,
but as soon as you walk away,
that's the conversation that they're going to be having.
Facts.
You know, who that nigga think he is,
be that nigga, da-da-da-da.
It's the same way if you win it.
I don't know how he living in jail,
you know what I'm saying.
But it's the same way.
If it was the average person
that went in jail for what he went to,
you know what I'm saying?
You would have a lot of problems
because, nigga, you like big, black,
whatever, whatever.
Facts.
You know what I'm saying?
So you would have that type of problem
that he probably not going through
because he puff. But it's going to always
be niggas whispering behind your back.
Or niggas that like niggas
and I ain't going to lie.
Puff is the type of nigga that will fight.
He ain't playing with them guns,
but he's going to fight you all day long.
You know what I'm saying?
I used to have the child telling me,
you know, why you want to be?
Niggas ain't fighting.
Right.
You know what I'm saying?
Like a nigga ain't going to want to fight you
my nigga.
Them niggas got niggins, niggas.
You know what I'm saying?
Oh, all right.
But that's a true story.
You know what I'm saying?
And I tell people that story all the time.
I say, yo, homie, and I don't mean to talk about this on y'all on your platform, man.
But when I heard that shit about Black Cox and all that shit, pause, yeah.
I remember one time, man, and this is in the book too.
Okay.
Yeah.
Bonds, loyalty and lies.
Make sure y'all get that.
Life did almost kill me.
We was in Caesar's Palace in Vegas one night, right?
It's just me and puff.
So I got my room.
He got his suite.
He calls me, yo, what's you doing, nigga?
Because sometimes I just go venturing.
You know what I'm saying?
I said, no, I'm in my room.
I'm waiting on something.
He said, then, he, come over here, yo.
That nicks gave me a two-floor room and all that shit.
It ain't nobody over here but me.
Take a room upstairs.
So I said, cool, fuck it.
So he said, but yo, I need you to do me in favor.
So, yo, what you need me to do?
I need you go to sex store for me, yo.
So, you know, I go to sex store here and there, so I don't mind.
I'm like, all right.
Cool, nigga.
You know, we usually go to the joint hustle on sunset.
You know what I'm saying?
Let's go.
But he's like, yo, now I need you to go to joint.
But I need you to go get me something.
I'm like, what you need me to go get you, nigga?
He said, I need you go get me one of the extra big black joints, right?
Oh, man.
Pause, pause, right?
Yeah, yeah.
So he said, so he said, shorty this coming over.
So he told me, Shorty.
So I've been knew who short is.
I'm like, damn, she comes in.
He said, yeah, be that bitch like, that bitch,
like big black joint.
If I, so.
Pause again.
I didn't want to say, you know, you call all these bodies
and since I relate to certain niggas that put all the work in this shit,
but certain things just need some pause.
Yeah, yeah, pause, that's all.
Right?
Right.
Yeah, yeah, we get back it up.
Right.
Yeah.
That's a couple.
Go ahead.
So I'm like, go on the joint.
And I get the joints.
I know, I know you felt while buying that shit, though.
No, no, I'm gonna be real with you.
Go in there and buy that shit, nigga.
Yeah, I'm gonna be real to that shit ain't even bother me.
Yeah.
No, not, not, not.
Buying that joint ain't bothering me.
To be real with you.
Because you know, you wasn't entertaining.
Yeah, I like coffee.
Exactly.
Just me going on in the store buying that shit.
Yeah, you might feel like that.
I can see if you sent me to buy like some like some pills or something,
but that shit, like you get the biggest dildo you can fraud.
Like, come on.
That's crazy.
Not a word.
That's crazy.
So I went and got it, right?
He said, I came, I brought it back to him, right?
So he said, yo.
So he said, I can't wait for Shawnee to get here, right?
So I'm like, yeah, right?
He's your OB, I might even let you get some, yo.
I said, shorty?
I said, shorty bad, right?
Yo, this is my word.
I'm upstairs in my room.
And I hear him in there knocking Shorty, right?
So now when this shit comes out about everything,
you know your mind going to go all the way back.
So my mind went all the way back.
When I'm watching this Cassie shit,
and Cassie told me, oh, this, big black, this, big black, that.
And I'm like, hold up.
Was that joint that night for this nigga?
Or was it for the girl?
Pause.
Damn, pause.
Because I was like, yo, this shit had me going crazy now.
And this was back in 2010 when this shit happened.
You know what I'm saying?
So now, 2025, I'm like, what's this shit for him?
This dirty, motherfucker.
because he never let me see Shorty, like he promised.
Right.
So I'm saying to myself, damn, the niggas never let me see Shorty at night.
I went and got the joint.
Shorty talking about this that I went.
So I said, damn, that was for that nigga.
You know what I'm saying?
So I started thinking all the way back to all the situations
and all the predicaments where things happen.
And my loyalty was always in the middle of it.
You know what I'm saying?
Like even when niggas were saying stuff,
because their niggas ain't just start talking about Puck.
Of course.
Niggas been talking about Puff for 20 years.
Right.
You know what I'm saying?
And me, myself, I was on the front line, my nigga.
You're not going to be talking about homie like that environment.
Yo, homie get that nigga.
I see the nigger with a girl every fucking night.
You know what I'm saying?
Woo-woo.
But when this shit happened, man, I had to go back
and I just had to start thinking about that.
Because, see, one thing you might not know,
my man right there might know,
when you doing security,
and you holding the nigga down,
you can't wait for a day off.
So when you get a day off,
you don't pay attention
to really what that nigga's doing
because you're just so happy
you got your day off.
So it'd be days,
they'll probably be like,
yo, this weekend I'm gonna stay in
Beverly Hills Hotel.
Oh, you're gonna stay there this weekend?
Yeah, y'all niggas can have a house.
That's what I'm thinking about.
I got this fucking house.
I got these shorties from my lane.
Oh, we're having a party this weekend, right?
I'm not thinking about
the nigga
that I just seen get on the elevator
and press the same floor that puff getting on,
got off on.
I'm not thinking about that.
People say, you had to see this, you had,
nah, you're not thinking about that.
You're thinking about your next move.
You know what I'm saying?
You got whatever vehicles down there,
whatever vehicles at the house.
I got the weekend,
but then when everything starts playing back on me
and I start thinking about,
damn, this nigga did call me and told me
and I seen pictures,
this thing told me to make sure
this thing got in the club.
You know what I'm saying?
Man, that's that same nigga.
that I had to go get from the club that night.
Or this is the same nigga that I got on the elevator.
You know what I'm saying?
So the loyalty shit right there,
I think that was the last.
Not that it's going to change my loyalty
because it's just certain people
that are gone to your loyalty.
It's certain people that no matter what,
you can't tell me nothing about.
But I learned that if it's really not like
that person that showed me that loyalty,
I really can't stand up for them no more.
In any type of way,
whether it's the state.
the state bid, the Fed bid, this street shit, whatever it is.
If you ain't showed me and I ain't got proof of it,
that's how I'm moving and that's how I'm living there.
So out of everything that came out of this whole situation
and this whole case, it came out of me to make me look deeper into people,
make me look deeper into this music industry,
make me look deeper into the people to say, y'all, I'm with you,
because the nigger quick to say, I love you.
Especially in the industry.
Everybody says, I love you.
Yeah, of course.
Everybody really, I love you.
I love you, bro.
It took you, bro.
It took something bad happen.
It took some bad.
And let me tell you who take the word love more deeper than anybody.
A street nigga.
Of course.
A street nigger take that word love deeper than any industry or anybody else.
Because when I say I love you, my nigger, I love you, my nigger.
And now that's out of ten when we first tell each other that is when we don't have nothing.
Facts.
So when I'm telling you this, all we got is this.
And all we got is us.
You know what I'm saying?
and what a lot of industry cats don't understand,
they don't understand that.
You know, because it's just the way they feel.
They're just using the word, man.
Yeah, they're just saying, y'all loves it.
It sounds cool.
It sounds cool.
It sound like that.
But I'm going to tell you what hurt me more is,
in one aspect I say they're phony,
but then in another aspect, I say they're real,
because I've sat there and watched Puff do a whole lot
for a lot of motherfuckers that didn't give a fuck about them.
but just had a situation of position
that he might have needed
or wanted to be involved with.
You know what I'm saying?
We're here doing everything for him.
I heard they get, yo,
oh, yo, Lou Wayne need a lawyer.
Yo, let me get a lawyer for him.
Yo, DMAC need this.
Let me get a lawyer for him.
But then when I come and tell you my son,
it's something different.
You know what I'm saying?
And that's where to respect,
the loss of respect for.
Because I don't understand,
and that's what I like about these young niggas
nowadays.
I'm going to tell you the truth.
They can say what they want to say
about these young niggas, man.
But a lot of these young niggas
that's in the business right now,
first thing they get in their crew is a house.
Yeah.
Yo, you know, 250,000.
They make sure a nigga got a house.
No matter whether he's with me,
whether he's not with me,
his family got a place to make.
They do be lawyer to each other.
They do.
To a fault.
Yeah, to a fault.
That's a fact.
I agree with you.
And that's what I love a bun.
I see young niggas that don't work security.
I don't work security.
12 years with Puff.
I know niggas that work longer than that with other people
and still fending for their own.
Not that you got to give a nobody nothing.
But damn, this thing has been with me 15 years.
This nigga been running 20 hours with me.
This thing is everywhere with it.
Yo, let me surprise that nigga with a house.
Bags.
Yeah, because 20 grand is one Berkham for Cassie.
One burden.
That ain't.
Puff gave me a Rolex.
He gave me a Rolex.
He brought 10 of us Rolexes, right?
When 10 years hit.
He bought 10 of us of Rolex's.
I told me, yo, what did you give me a Rolex for if I ain't got no money?
You know what I'm saying?
I don't want to walk around with no $25,000 dollar watch
and I'm living from check to check.
First thing I did was end up down here on the 19th floor somewhere
with the green box, the paperwork, anything else.
I said, here.
You nigg said, where you're watching?
I pumped it.
I got rid of it.
What you mean you got rid of it?
because what you gave me
was for the newspapers
for the magazines
because it came out the next day.
Puff gives 10 of his homeboys
you know what I'm saying
for being with him for 10 years
watches and all of us had the watches there
and we know he got a deal on that
because of course that come on you're going to get a deal.
Yeah, you got a deal.
It was good press though.
It was a great price.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah, good press.
And he flew the girl out to Paris
to go pick all 10 of them up.
You know what I'm saying?
Because she already told me.
She said, yeah, I flew out there
I got those for y'all.
You know what she told me exactly what she paid for him and everything.
I said, okay.
But I love the fact that he gave me a watch
because I was able to go ahead and pawn that shit for 20 stats.
You know what I'm saying?
But that just shows you how in tune you are with your people.
I'm not giving that nigger watch.
I'm going to get a nigga house.
So that's one thing I know he ain't got to worry about for the rest of his life.
And that's where these young niggas is at.
See, people bypass all that when they be talking about them.
You know what I'm saying?
But I'll be talking to him.
You know what I'm saying?
And when I be talking to him, oh, no, no, no.
The first thing he did me, the first thing baby did for me was buy me a house.
You know what I'm saying?
Because you got to think about it.
$2.50, even if you say, I'm going to buy your house and you pay me back for it every month.
Guess what you're not doing.
You're not buying two houses for the price of one because there ain't no interest on what I'm paying you back.
So even if you said my house is $2.50, I'm going to buy that for you and you got to give me a stack every month.
You gotta give me two stacks every month.
I'm paying $2.50.
If you got a 30-year mortgage,
you're paying $6 something for that same house.
It costs to something.
Between the interest and everything.
You know what I'm saying?
So if you got it like that guy
and put that shit underneath the company
until he paid it off.
You know what I'm saying?
But let's not put no interest on it
because I paid for it out of pocket.
We're going, we're getting
$100,000 a night
All-Star weekend.
$100,000 a night
NFL
NFL, NFL Super Bowl.
$100,000 a night, NBA Super Bowl.
$100,000 a night, Memorial weekend.
$100,000 a night, Labor Day weekend.
So that's $300,000 in one weekend.
We talk on Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
Don't let it be a Monday.
You know what I'm saying?
Because a lot of times they do Monday, too.
So Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, you got $100,000.
At this time, you was getting $100,000 every night.
That's $400,000.
Let me just take this one weekend and tell them,
yo, and God bless the day.
That's what Biggie would do.
You know what I'm saying?
Biggie would do that same.
Biggie would say, yo, I got all of these parties right here.
My crew was small.
I only got six people.
I got D-Rock.
Oh, you was around Biggie too?
No, I wasn't around Biggie.
Oh, okay.
But now I'm listening to everything that we're talking about
because we got a lot of late nights.
You know what I'm saying?
So through these late nights, all of us is getting,
we becoming that click.
I was locked up when Biggie actually was,
I was in the feds there.
Yeah.
So now one part.
one party, y'all got one party a year
where each of y'all is five of y'all
is D. Rock, it's L's C's Kim,
it's like five of them.
So each of y'all pick a night.
Y'all can't pick the weekends
that I just told y'all.
But Biggie's getting 50,000 a party.
You got one party where I just gave you
the show up for an hour and I give you the money.
This is the shit that's going on.
Damn, Biggie was doing that?
Yeah, he was doing that.
That was real shit right there.
You know what I'm saying?
That's real shit.
But if you so hot like that,
I just named your 15 nights where a person get 100,000.
That's 1.5 million.
Not including all the other parties and all the other monies and everything
because I'm not counting your money.
I'm just counting that night right there.
So it's nothing for you to say,
damn, we just got out of jam last night.
This nigga just got me.
In Paris, this nigga just threw me in the car.
And this nigga stayed there.
There's times I threw this nigga.
Everybody knows.
Niggins in Paris.
For people that don't know, they ain't nothing to play with.
You know what I'm saying?
She can go down to...
Yeah, she should have gone down in London.
Of course.
You know what I'm saying?
Easy.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah, y'all know it.
You know what I'm saying?
And it's been times where I threw this thing in the car, because he got girls with him.
And he's more interested in the girls getting back to the hotel than you.
So, go ahead, my nigga.
They don't want me.
They don't want me.
They want you.
They want you.
So, get ahead.
Get ahead in the car.
Man, I see you at the hotel.
But meanwhile, I'm sitting there.
explain it to a goon what just happened.
You know what I'm saying?
And you got to explain it to him with authority.
You can't explain it to him humbly.
Yeah, like Puff just took your bitch, man.
Yeah.
Ain't that you can do.
And you know, yo, but I'm saying, my nigga, you want a problem with me?
Now, I ain't got no problem with you.
I like that.
We ain't got no problem.
Matter of fact, being that he said he already going to the hotel and a guy,
that's me and you go back in here for a drink.
You know what I'm saying?
It's mind manipulation games that you got to.
play with niggas when you got these people country.
Facts.
Yo, he already in there, man.
Matter of fact, man, come on.
Let's go ahead.
You don't want to get locked up in foreign country, I'm telling you.
First of all, the language barrier is the first mistake.
So if that person know the language and you don't, you lost already.
Oh, yeah.
As soon as you walk in the police station, you're the odd boy.
I don't care who you are, what you are.
You're American.
You think you all that, you think you better than us,
and we're not doing nothing for you.
You know what I'm saying?
So you, not to cut you up, but you being on a lawsuit, right?
And Cassie said that you, you know, you stopped puff from beating up.
Did you go ask her, did she give me something?
No, no, no, no, what's the situation?
No, that's the first thing people ask me, they'd be like, yo, I know she pieced you off.
Nah.
No, not even that.
I wasn't even asked, I was going to ask, like, what's going through your mind when that's going on?
And when did it happen at?
What's going on my mind to be real with you?
What was going through my mind was them people getting ready to knock on my dog.
That's what was on my mind.
There's so much shit going on that.
I'm not even really think about you, old boy.
I'm thinking about it
then people come knock on my door.
You know what I'm saying?
Even though I ain't been with you,
they're taking the time all the way back
to 2019-1999.
You know what I got with you 2003.
So now I'm falling in it.
This girl got my name in a lawsuit.
Then I'm watching people on trial.
And they say, oh, Barnes used to bring me the money.
Oh, but I'm watching his money manager.
You say, you have to party.
Barnes are bringing to me.
Oh, I'm watching some of his assistants get on there.
Oh, I told Barnes.
I'm like, there ain't no way these niggas not going to come out with my door.
Everybody to get up here talking about bonds, my, bond, my bonds.
Now, what crossed my mind then was, am I loyal to a fort now?
You know what I'm saying?
Right.
Or when these people come hollering me, he's shit on me.
Do I holler back at him?
Right.
And my inner self-beat came back with your old nigga,
you ain't got nothing to talk to them people about.
Not being there because it was puff,
because I would have that same.
in that same feeling for somebody who ain't have nothing.
I've been there and done that.
Like, no, nah, I'd be.
So what was going through your head when, what happened when you was there with the
Cassie situation in Perth?
Like, what exactly happened?
Where was it at?
Well, well, it's been a couple of instances, but the instance she brought up was on
sunset when he was talking to Johnny Wright.
Johnny Wright was a manager for a lot of big pop rock people.
But he was also a manager for Danny DeKain.
So him and Puff had a somewhat relationship.
But because when is the label, one is the manager, of course they don't get along.
So when Puff seen Cassie talking to him, he just went into a rage.
Because Puff was not only her man, he was a manager and everything else.
All accounts were shut down.
Any money that she got went straight to his account.
You know what I'm saying?
So he's wondering what's she talking to him about.
But he took off and all I seen him was do a flying kick, you know?
And he kicked in the back.
And she went on the floor.
Damn.
And he was on the floor with her.
And I was like, yo, and I'm running up the block.
You know what I'm saying?
Because-
Now, this is on Sunset Boulevard.
Now, this is right on Sunset.
Right.
No, it's nighttime.
But everybody got a driver out there because it's a war show.
So people see when he-
Yeah, people see.
People see everything.
So that's what made me run over there.
And I grabbed them.
I see, oh, what the fuck you doing, yo?
And his driver opened up the door,
and I threw him in there.
And then she had went underneath the car.
So I went over there and grabbed him.
her.
She went under the car?
She went underneath the truck.
Damn, damn.
So she was so scared that she went underneath.
You know what I said?
Cassie, oh come out, come out, come out.
So I put Cassie in the back.
He got in the front.
So now while we driving back to the hotel, something came from the back seat and it was Cassie.
And she hit that nigga so hard in his motherfucker-fucking face.
Like she had a ring, a diamond ring that was so big and all I seen was so big.
and all I seen was her.
So I'm driving, right?
Now I'm driving because the shit happens so fast.
I told the driver to stay back there with her.
But now when he get back there with her,
he's scared to touch her.
Of course.
You know what I'm saying?
Because he ain't us.
So he like, uh, uh, uh, ah.
And she swings on in front of the front.
So now I got the window open.
And I'm trying to contain at the same time.
People pulling up, oh, that's Diddy, that's Cassie.
Boom, boom.
So I'm trying to close the window at the same time.
So we get back to the crib.
or when we get back to the crib, they go in the room.
And I tell people all the time,
like when you go through social media,
social media are going to make you the villain.
So I tell people all the time,
you can't be responsible for something that you don't see.
So what he going to do then is he going to go in the room.
So when a person come out of the room,
however they look,
there ain't nothing you could do about it.
Because the magic is that they still live.
Right.
And nobody had a gun to your head.
Nobody made you stay there.
Not only that, I'm telling you get up out of here.
and you running the back and telling somebody.
You know what I'm saying?
So was you frustrated because you started feeling like,
this nigga can't give me a late $20,000,
and this nigga got me as the therapist in the bodyguard.
You know what I'm saying?
Nah, because the therapist shit was ahead of time.
The money, that money, and I'm not going to lie.
20-30.
Puff gave me $30,000, right?
For the law of your son?
He gave me $30,000 for my son, right?
In 2011.
Right.
My son's down there, like, okay, all of us had cases.
All of us got New York cases.
So we know what it costs in New York.
So imagine what it costs as a motherfucker in Africa.
You know what I'm saying?
From 2011, the case is going on.
They still go on the court every year, every month, every two months, every three months.
So I'm giving a nigga.
I'm giving a nigga.
I'm giving a nigga.
You gave me 30 at the end.
I'll tell you, yo, it's trial time now.
2024 was trial time.
I need that $20,000.
And he knows exactly what the case is for another day.
Huh?
And he knew what the case is about.
Oh, yeah.
He knew what the case because he posted it one time.
After I hit him so many times and I called him and I said, yo, my nigger, he said, what
up?
I said, what you mean?
I said, oh man, my son locked up, man, I've been hitting you.
I can't get a touch with you, this, that.
I mean, I asked you just to post something to bring awareness.
Yo, you're right, Barnes.
You're right.
You're right.
You'll call such and such, such, such, such, and tell him I said, the
post is. So I called them. And the post did some magic because there was a lot of people in
Africa that was watching. And it put them on to the case. But now when he hit me, he said,
yo, I got these three people for you right here. Hit them. Anything you need with your son,
deal with them. So now that's when he gave me the $20,000 for my son, right? Now, when I hit
them about, though, because they're not giving it to me. They send it directly to the lawyer. I don't want
nothing to do with the money. Of course. So I'm sending y'all the wire number, the international
number, and it's coming straight from the office to y'all so that y'all don't think no funny
business going on. So now I tell them, I say, yo, we're going to trial. It's time to get this
thing together. So he gives me all these people and say, yo, we're going to do this. I call the
people, they said, oh, we sent 20,000. We don't have the okay to send nothing else. I said,
The puff just told me that he told y'all to send was ever needed.
So, because the case, da-da-da-da-da.
Now, I'm going to work, my son blows trial.
You know what I'm saying?
He gets 29 years.
Damn.
Right?
Now, he gets 20-
So it was more money needed for the travel.
Of course.
Of course, because you see what Puff got right now?
And I'm not on his level with that.
But you see what he got, he got a person to deal with every facet of the case.
He got a person that's good with the rape shit.
A person that's good with this.
So down here you need a person, an advocate, that's what they call them.
It's only one lawyer, but you need the advocates to specialize in different stuff.
Okay, he got international law from being from the United States.
This person specializes in that.
Okay, he got a murder conviction.
This person specializing that.
Okay, he got weapons and all that shit, international weapons stuff.
They still ain't told me how my son got a gun.
And what's what you?
They don't have no gun.
They don't have no weapon.
They don't have no witnesses.
They don't have no nothing.
This was an opening shut case if I had a team.
You know what I'm saying?
And I'm putting puff up on the president man.
Me and him is talking and all this.
But all this is through him.
You know what I'm saying?
They're listening to you.
They're not listening to me.
Even though I'm the father and I'm talking to you,
they know you got the money.
Thanks.
Of course.
So that's who they listen to.
When you call, they're going to answer and all that.
So when the money stop coming in, they stop?
responded to this.
The money, the money stopped coming in.
Namibia.
Okay.
What's that man?
All the way down to South Africa, all way at the bottom.
See, and when I do my homework, because we all got people from Nigeria, from Lagos and all that,
but not from Namibia.
Namibia is a country that's sold out to the Germans back in the 18-something.
So they respect Asian and European people more than they respect American.
even when you go down there.
Like, you know, they brought out all the stores
and did this and brought all that.
So that's the people that's in with them
is the people that's in.
Puff is universal.
But at the same time, his people
was telling me, now this is what his people
was telling me, PR team and everything.
They said, ah, Barnes,
Puff can't really get involved in this.
I said, what you mean?
Ah, your son is locked up down there for murder.
He's trying to open up some businesses in Africa.
So we advised him not to not to speak on it all right.
So now my beef is bigger now
because where's the loyalty?
How are you going to let these people tell you
about your man, nigga?
Like, this is my son.
She comes out and tells me straight up.
She said, yo, Puff may not want to tell you, but I'm going to tell you.
She said, yo, we've advised him not to speak on the situation.
Because when he put the poster, he had so much backlash.
Oh, I heard you was trying to open up some businesses down here.
Mighty funny that you're trying to open up something,
but these Americans came down here and killed one of our people.
Now, they wouldn't have a problem with it if it was a black dude.
But my son is convicted for killing a white guy.
Right?
So it was a guy from Columbia University, which is here.
You know what I'm saying?
He was from Namibia, a white South Africa.
So his family is into down.
So he tells my son co-defendant.
When I go back home, I'm gonna give y'all some diamonds,
but y'all gotta bring him back.
So my son is on Rikers Island at this particular time.
So he meets the dude, right?
My son, knock on wood, I ain't talk about this, but he blud.
You know what I'm saying?
So he on Rikers Island, the dude gets locked up from LA.
So he can't use the phone enough
from when he gets to the island,
because he don't know nobody.
So my son said, yo, I got you.
So from my son,
taking care of him and everything, he put my son up on this. He said, yo, when I get out of here,
I'm heading down to X, Y, Z, right? I go see my son. I talk to him. I tell his mother, yo, he's not
ready to come out yet. I said, what you mean? I said, yo, I was in a visa. I got a phone call
from the police saying he got locked up with a gun. I said, I was in Paris. I got a phone
call from the police said he got locked up with a second gun. I said, he's not ready to come
home. So that's what he was on the island. I said, evidently, he beefing with somebody.
I'm not in New York because I'm running around with Puff.
I said until I get a couple of days off
where I can come back to Harlem and find out who he beefing with
and let niggas know that's my son,
he got to chill.
Let him stay on the island.
But his mother don't listen to me.
You know, that's her baby.
You know what I'm saying?
I'm getting my baby out of there.
So she goes and get him out of jail.
So now I comes back for Christmas.
I see him.
Take him some money.
Take him some Sean John boxes and all that shit.
He said, Dad, I'm going to Africa.
for next week.
First of all, you ain't even got your passport, so I'm not really paying him no attention.
He wanted them little niggis like, okay, you just talk, you're talking about, right, right.
You know what I'm saying?
You just talking.
I didn't think you're going to Africa.
So I said, what you're going to Africa for?
So at this time, MC Light had that joint, I need a rough neck, I have a rough neck.
So he had all them little niggas from Harlem with tattoos trying to be a model.
You know what I'm saying?
You know what's what's what's the old name?
What's all them little nick?
What's the, um, um, um, the boy headed dude.
Tyson, this was all of them.
Tyson, Dart, and all them.
They was all doing their things.
So these little nicks think they go, yeah, I'm going to be a roughneck, blah, blah.
So he said, I'm going to go to Africa.
He said, I'm going to take some pictures and stuff.
He said, because I wanted a different concept from what everybody else bringing them.
My son's six-four.
You know what I'm saying?
Curly Head dude.
You know what I'm saying?
Okay, cool.
You know, with the Mary Bircham and all that other stuff?
Yeah.
You know who his man was?
His man is Jai.
You know Jai?
from Brooklyn, they used to hold A-Con down.
I think I know you're talking about.
Jai used to be with nails all the time.
Ball-headed, he knocked Shilgat.
Okay, I know what Jai is going to work.
Right. So that's my, I don't know how my son and Jai get tight like that.
Right.
You know what I'm saying?
Jaya, way older than him.
Right.
You know what I'm saying?
But he talking and telling me, okay, I'm going to do it.
Yo, when I tell you, this shit goes through one ear and other, I'm not thinking.
So when his baby mother called me and said, you know,
his cat blocked up.
First thing I said to him was, you know, he in Africa.
What you mean he locked up?
She said, that's where he's locked up for us.
I said, for what?
She said, murder.
So I immediately go, I'm in Paris, so I'm halfway there.
So Puff is like, yo, you don't have to go back.
He said, you'll call Uncle Pauline and tell him to meet me at the airport tomorrow
because we leave in the next morning anyway.
He said, you go ahead to Paris.
So yeah, to answer your question, he definitely knew what it was.
Gotcha.
So I shot to Paris, got a lawyer and everything.
I go down there with a little 15,000.
They take that from me.
as soon as I get there.
Because I'm green, everything that's going on now.
Oh, I know it was my boy is locked up.
We need a lawyer.
This is who he told me to get, boom, boom.
He ended up robbing me.
You know what I'm saying?
He ain't doing nothing for my son for this money.
You know what I'm saying?
But as time goes on, my son know everybody in the jail.
He got the whole jailbloodding when I go down there.
I'm like, yo.
In Africa?
Yeah, in Africa?
I'm talking about you.
I'm talking about you.
I mean, I'm watching videos.
I'm like, damn, this Africa jailbook.
I'm like, what the fuck?
So I'm worried about him.
But when I get down there, he's like, no, Pop, I'm all right.
So my father's like, he's tall in me, six-four.
So I'm getting ready to leave.
He said, yo, lift your head up, Pop.
I'm all right, you know.
This is what, this is what's it?
You see, I'm all right, pop.
So when I go back there, now I'm starting to get hits.
I'm starting to get DMs and everything from people that's out there.
And one lady is like, yo, your son is such a sweetheart.
I'm like, what you mean?
She said, yo, the police tried to tell me I couldn't bring my phone in
because I didn't give him no a phone number.
You know, your son jumped up off the bench.
I said, yo, he beving with the police?
She said, yeah, police let me in after he said, this, that other.
So now when I'm going, Danny, I'm like, okay,
they're thinking, you know how to have to handle it.
He got him in a big, good.
You know what I'm saying?
He got judges because they got him in a special part.
So he got judges and lawyers and everything that got locked up for shit
that they didn't did down there.
At the end of the day, they still lawyers, they still judges.
They still got the knowledge.
So now they're working on the case with him.
So my son said, damn, everything I'm arguing in court is the stuff I did myself.
This lawyer ain't doing nothing for me.
So now when we blows trial, he ends up getting 29 years, right?
But this is the kicker.
The judge tells him, I'm not giving you them 14 years that you got in already.
So now he got to start the 29 over from 2025.
That's crazy.
So how are you going to do that?
So now that's what I'm in.
court fighting for now because at the end of the day, I told my son, all right, you got
29. I said, oh, for 29, you got to do 25. So the embassy tells me, they say,
yo, we can transfer him once he get through all his appeals and he's set with whatever time
he's going to get, we could do a swap. So in the feds, they'll do a swap where they take somebody
from that country that's locked up in the United States and then swap them out and they'll let
my son go to the feds over here. So at the end of the day, this is what we came to. I say,
29 for 29, you get 59 days a year.
I said, all right, that's going to break down to 25.
I said, you got 14 in right now.
All right, at the end of the day, you got 10 left.
That's where we at with it.
But then the judge says,
yo, we're not counting them over 14 years.
So right now, the first thing I'm fighting is the fact that you can't say
that he wasn't in your jail cell for 14 years and count no time.
Then we could fight the other stuff.
But let's get you a amount of time first.
You know what I'm saying?
And that's what I needed from Diddy.
That's what I needed the money for.
I needed the money to make sure this thing got the right amount of time
that he was supposed to get.
Even though he wasn't even,
yo, the embassy was sat right next to me.
They had his plane ticket.
They had everything.
They said, yo, they don't have no evidence on this case.
They said, this is what we need you to do.
We need you to get your son right after this verdict.
Take him to your hotel.
Give us four hours and we're going to expedite the passport.
And we'll be ready to go.
So even when they came back,
We're guilty and gave him all that time.
Even the embassy was looking at me.
But the embassy is quote unquote, which we know is bullshit.
They told me we don't have nothing to do with the criminality of the case.
We just got to make sure that he's treated and given everything that he's supposed to be given
as a United States citizen in jail down there.
But we all know when certain people get locked up is certain phone calls that could be made.
You know what I'm saying?
Of course.
And shit going to happen.
We don't see Trump do it and all types of stuff.
I got locked up in the airport in Turkey.
Made that call?
50 drinking tea in the back of the precinct.
Chill.
It really talked of.
So I know how you feeling that call from Puff.
That's all you really needed.
It could have helped.
I know he could have.
Now, this is somebody to tell you.
I know he gave you the bread and he just felt like, you, I gave him enough and people
in his ear.
Because you know how it is in the industry, people get in his ear, yo, bonds.
He's just your security, blah, blah, blah.
Why are you doing this?
Why are you posting this for his son, blah, blah, blah, and I don't know.
And honestly, he could have made one phone call
and that could have changed the whole situation.
You see, see, see, see, see, when people say stuff like that,
I listen to it because people hit me all the time,
yo, B, you had a 9 to 5, you was just a security guard.
Nah, nah, nah, not.
Not the shit that you know you been through with it.
Right, you can't sit there, right.
It's like, nigger, man, we've been through some real shit,
man, fuck all that shit.
Yeah.
This ain't no regular 9 to 5.
This ain't no 9 to 5.
First of all, we lived in the same house,
so this was 24 7.
Because if you get up at 3 in the morning,
you want to go somewhere,
you're going to hit that P.A.
says, your bonds,
you know, get the car ready.
You know what we're going?
Yeah, I got to go.
Whether it's just to see your girl,
whether it's just to see anybody,
anything.
Whatever.
You know what I'm saying?
I told you, get up.
Let's go.
So it ain't a 9 to 5.
You know what I'm saying?
Second of all,
we talk about when,
okay, I'm going to say, for instance,
the fans that used to work with us,
the police they used to work with us,
they was there for,
a certain amount of time.
And then they knew they was going home.
I ain't get to go home.
I wasn't there for a certain amount of time.
And them niggas probably getting paid more than you.
Yeah, because they was legally armed,
legally armed and, you know, they getting paid.
I think at that time it was 150 hours.
You know what I'm saying?
But we out, 15 hours.
So guess what?
After 10 hours, Pupp start counting that money.
You tell them niggas they could go home.
Not that the, not that they're out.
danger lesson because it's getting late at night.
It's just getting too expensive.
It's just getting too expensive.
You're telling them nicks that you're going to be here, right?
All right, niggins, tell them nicks to go home.
You know what I'm saying?
So now I'm moving, I'm also moving with people that I can't let know what I'm really doing.
Because I don't get fuck if you working with me or not.
If you're the Fed or you're the police, you're not going to never know if I'm strapped
and not.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, I'm never going to tell you.
You know what I'm saying?
unless something really, really happened
because I know at the end of the day,
this is just your, what they call it,
this is your side hustle.
You're not giving,
and I used to have them talks with them all the time.
You know my niggins, you know the niggies ain't going to pull no hammer.
It was like the situation.
So that's why, like, no matter what situation pop got in,
yeah, them fads is good, they're great.
But they don't know who you got a situation with.
I know everybody that you got a situation with.
And that's what makes us different.
You know what I'm saying?
So when people say,
yo, you just say,
no, I ain't security
when I'm spending
Christmas with your family.
I'm spending Thanksgiving
with your family.
You know what I'm doing shit.
We doing shit.
I'm making sure you get in the car.
I make, nah, it ain't a 9 to 5.
And then you're not there
for the conversations.
See, that's the thing to get to me.
It's not about the job.
It's about the conversations
when you look at my eye
and I look in your eye
and you tell me,
if you ever need me, my nigga,
I'm here, B.
But that's when we get into a situation
and we make it home safe.
Then that conversation that night is different
than that other conversation
because that conversation that night is,
damn, my nigga, that shit was crazy, right?
Yeah, nigga.
We made it back, though.
You damn, damn, just save my life, my nigga.
My nigga, come on.
You know what I'm saying?
Whatever you ever need for me, my nigga is there, my nigga.
That's the conversation.
And then you hold that shit in your heart.
And then when the time come around,
you really need something,
and the nigger say,
I ain't even got that right now, playboy.
Yo.
Not when you simply talk about,
yo, you're giving $1,000 headcuts
and you get young Miami in a thing
talking about she got $500,000.
But not, nigger have you with five jobs.
Like, niggas, the driver, the therapist,
the bodyguard, the gunman,
the holo back man, the assistant,
to take the cars, get the cars oil.
Yeah, you, look, look.
And I'm going to tell you on top of that,
and it's in the book.
Not only in my guy,
and this is one thing that I heard,
Nick, I got 10 jobs.
From my man, Big Vic and all of them that worked with 50 on the toll and all that, right?
Niggick, see, I bought my house and everything.
I ain't got no complaints.
You know what I'm saying?
Nicky said, yo, nigga, I might not be home with me no more, but I ain't got no complaints.
Nick, I bought my house and everything off the toll.
Look at that.
Right?
Now, Puff is the type of person because I don't talk about nothing that ain't happen.
I get a call to the office one day.
Yeah, what the fuck is going on?
All right.
We signed to
not universal
We signed to Atlantic Records
Right, Babway is underneath Atlantic
So all the bills got to go
to Lear
All the bills from Babway go to Lear
So they look at it
What the fuck is this security
nigga putting in a hundred thirty hours
for on the invoice
Yo, the driver got 130 hours on here
nigga we worked
130 hours
Right
So guess what
Leo up there
Oh yeah
This nigga got
You know his bills
Is this this that and other
So now they call Puff
All I hear in the cars
Yo I know the motherfuckers
Ain't do no shit like that
Right so I'm looking back
It's your boss too
Nigger
Why why wouldn't I put in an invoice
If we if we leave your call time
It's 7 in the morning
We don't get back in the house
The 3 in the morning
That's every hour
That I work
So I'm gonna put that down
This nigga
I get mad at you, but yo, you know, I don't know what you're going to do, playboy,
but then they'll come behind you say, yo, if you need something, then just let me know if you need something.
I got you.
You know what I'm saying?
But I can't pay, you know, they, you know, they, you know, they're going to 130 hours.
My nigger, 130 hours.
Don't let an album be coming out where niggins sleep in the motherfucker studio and all that.
This nigga, Puff came out to studio one time in L.A., nigga.
We in the studio.
I'm outside in the truck sitting in the truck.
I didn't went to sleep.
It's just me and him.
It's 7 o'clock in the morning right now.
I'm not on the same shit you want.
You know what I'm saying?
So I don't fell asleep.
This nigga had reached through the window,
took the key out the ignition, right?
Goes back in the studio and then run out the studio.
Yo, this turn you out!
So I jump up.
What's your reaction?
Your first reaction is to turn the key.
Ain't no motherfucking key in the jump.
This nigga is rolling.
He's on the floor laugh.
You got me in the middle.
middle of bloods, got me in the middle of crips, you sleep in the truck.
He said, but I know you tired, my nigga.
Don't worry about it.
He said, come on, let's go home.
But this is the type of shit that I say a nigga do.
Niggy, you ain't the only nigga in a situation.
If they come, they're going to hit me up first to get inside the door.
You know what I'm saying?
So, yeah, I'm going to reach under the seat.
But the nigga, that's too late.
How many niggas we noticed and got clapped and when they found the nigga had his join on his way?
That don't mean nothing.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah, and that's real talk.
Anybody can get it, man.
That's why I try to tell people, this ain't no security where you come in to nine
and you leave a five, you come into ten.
This is a, but every morning, man, I pray to God every morning when I used to leave the house.
I say, yo, bring him home safe before I get home safe.
You know what I'm saying?
Because in my mind, that was my principal.
Right.
That was my responsibility.
Yep.
So, nigger, if I don't make it home, I'm cool.
You made it home.
But guess what the deal?
deal was. The deal was
that if you don't make it, nigga, I got your
family. This is the conversation.
So now that I didn't
die, my son is my
family, and I need you. And if you
ain't doing this while I'm alive,
what you're going to do if I died,
and that's the thought that started
coming through my mind. You know what I'm
saying? Damn, so when people say,
yo, why don't you do this? Why don't you do that?
And my niggas is telling me saying,
yo, my niggins, you know where you
created that nigg got? Why
Why you just don't roll up there?
You know what I'm saying?
I'm telling me, you know, this ain't 1980.
This is 2000.
Nigga, you can't be rolling up on a nigga.
Niggie will call the police on you.
And the first thing they're going to say is, yo, I'm a civilian,
nigga.
I'm puffed daddy.
That nigga came up here with all type of joints trying to threaten me.
But ain't nobody going to look at him funny for saying something about me.
But if I say something about him, everybody gives me any excuses.
Because he got more bread.
People are just loyal to the money, man.
The motherfucker could do whatever.
You know what I'm saying?
Like I said, you had 10 jobs.
You're the therapist.
You're breaking up fights with Cassie.
You're the driver.
You're driving four or five in the morning.
You're the gunman.
You're security.
You're the assistant.
You're carrying bags.
You the guy making calls for them.
You know, Barnes, Barnes, PA system, four or five in the morning.
3 a.m. seven in the morning.
Nigger giving you the same pay.
And then when you say, yo, I worked 139 hours, they're looking at you like you crazy.
You know what I'm saying?
We go buy a bitch of Berk on, or buy a bitch a roly.
That's what I be doing.
But you can't take it.
Huh?
And it's not pocket watching.
It's not pocket watching.
It's what's yours.
It's just like, yo, bro, I've been loyal to you.
I put my life on the line and everything.
You know what I'm saying?
You had 10 jobs.
You was a man therapist, his friend, his bodyguard, his family.
He made stupid decisions.
You stopped him from Cassie.
I didn't hear you say not one thing fashion them.
You said all good things.
You tried to help, you Christmas.
I've seen this on, I've seen this.
Yeah.
People be loyal and get the bad end of the stick.
That's what it sound like.
Course, right?
This is pause.
Yeah, pause.
You know what I'm saying?
So for me, it's the real report.
I'm glad you came on the show to tell your truth.
Because like the book is about your life.
Excuse me.
It's not all about just ditty.
It's just the situations you went through.
Yeah, he looked out for you here and there,
but he could have did more.
I agree with you.
Oh, he could do.
And that's what the book is about.
Yeah.
The book is not for the book.
The book is a lesson.
If you read the book and you go through the book and I call it, I call it the bonds, right?
The word of the bonds contract, right?
The word is bond contract.
So after each chapter, I show my loyalty.
I show a situation, right?
And when I be talking like I got a joint I'm talking in next week with the chief of police.
in Columbia, South Carolina with the kids with gun violence, right?
Because when I was talking to him,
he thought the way that I talked and everything I was going through with Puff,
he didn't know I ever went to jail.
So even when I told him what I went to jail for,
he said, what you went to jail for?
I went to jail for manslaughter.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, we need you.
We need you.
So now it opened them up to say, okay, not only did this.
Somebody that really has been through something.
He's been through it.
He knows what the other side is,
and now he's talking positive on this side.
This is perfect for what we're trying to do.
Right, definitely.
And that's why you do a book?
Why you do a book?
I did a book because some shit get throwing at you and you can bob and weave it.
You know what I'm saying?
Like I got five daughters.
So shit them been, I don't.
Serious.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah, I don't went through it with my daughters.
You know what I'm saying?
With guys and everything else like that.
So Cassie had hit me in a spot.
You know what I'm saying?
So when she ain't listened, I said, okay, I'm a duck that.
I'm a duck that.
But then when she put me in the lawsuit and it came back to me, I said,
sometime God bring you something over and over and over again until you speak on it.
So I even went to school.
I took the domestic violence certification.
I became an advocate in that shit.
I took, we all took the alternative to the violence shit.
I just took another one from jail and then I took it and moved it up and all that.
And I say, oh, God keep coming to me about this.
Not only that, when I caught the body.
It was only one person I could talk to.
And I tell people that all the time, and that was God.
Facts.
You know what I'm saying?
God is good.
God is good.
You know what I'm saying?
Y'all many bodies you got my nigger and I'm going to put it.
You had me up here like the nigh-hawks.
I don't kill more.
You get out of here.
Now, now, but I can talk about it because I did my time.
Of course, no, I'm going to say that, but we're on this different year.
You know what I tell niggas all the time.
I say, yo, that shit is just,
Back then, it was just as many bodies going on back then as it is now.
You don't say that too much.
You know what's crazy?
It was way more.
It was way more.
It wasn't no IG or nothing like that.
The murder rate was up back then.
You were talking about at least a year, niggit was 1,200, 1,200 people getting killed,
like for real on these streets.
Now it be probably about, not saying like it's a bad thing, it's a good thing, but now
it's only about $3,400, 500, 500.
It's not as crazy as it used to be, but it get highlighted more because of social media.
So you see things and it looks so crazy.
You're like, oh, man, they're out there acting crazy.
No, but it used to really be crazy.
You know what the difference was?
There's a lot of cameras now, things too.
It's cameras now and the difference is, the biggest difference,
there was a lot of bodies back then, but they was of age.
They was dudes who was in the street doing what they had to do.
Now you got a bunch of kids killing each other.
So dudes was young back then too though.
Yeah, no, but we was getting money.
The fact, they're not even thinking about no money.
They didn't even think about no money.
They just won't want to be young.
the bang or who reping this gang,
repping this gang, doing it for social media purposes,
weird mixed up with it, so it do be kind of weird
nowadays, I know what you mean with that shit, man.
It's not about no money.
It's not about no money, man.
So that's the weird part, yeah.
And that's the weird part right there.
Because I had a bunch of friends that got cute,
niggas, my man, I got a friend that got killed for gazelles.
We got friends that got killed for Jordans.
You know what I'm saying?
Jackers, all type of crazy shit back then, boy.
The bee bomber.
Real tall.
A boyie that got for them.
A ball jacket, starters.
You've seen it all, man, back then, man.
But it's like you said, it wasn't no media and all that.
And it was niggins that was getting money.
Because 9 out of 10, if you had that type of shit, you was out there.
We was hustled.
You're getting some money.
You know what, you get some money.
Niggas was dying on the stoop and all that shit.
But nowadays, it's just more crazy.
And when I be talking to the kids and I show them the book,
because they thought, they say, you know,
man, I thought this was just all about ditty.
This is about whole life.
Yes, your life.
This is about Rikers Island.
Definitely.
This is about the fads.
This is about how you're going to feel.
And I'm trying to move in life a little bit, period.
With your loyalty.
Definitely, definitely, yeah.
Because a lot of us think, well, a lot of them kids, when you really listen to them,
they'll do anything for a nigger who got money.
You know what I'm saying?
And that's not loyalty.
That's stupidity.
Definitely.
You know what I'm saying?
It's the difference between loyalty and stupidity.
Loity is with somebody that you got a history with and somebody you got love for.
Stupidity is just somebody who got some money that you might have just knew for six months.
But you're trying to prove yourself.
prove with yourself.
He can make you do anything.
Yeah, exactly.
And that's where me and Puff was going.
Like, to answer your question, that's where we was going.
We was starting to argue all the time.
Like, who fuck argues with the boss?
But I'm actually arguing with you because I'm at the point where a lot of this
shit you're doing is stupid.
You know what I'm saying?
You're doing stupid shit.
We did this shit when we was in the 30s, always to the 40s.
Now that your kids then became an age, you want to relive it and go back.
I don't want to get up three in the morning right now,
four in the morning no more.
I thought that shit was over.
Yeah, that's for young niggas, yeah.
Yeah, you know what I'm saying?
But now you're 45 and you're doing it all over again
because Justin will reach age, because Christian will reach age.
You know what I'm saying?
And that goes back when I was there and niggas used to tell me,
yo, my nigger, ever since you left, this shit is crazy.
I just like, what you mean?
He said, we're in the house right now.
What's you doing in the house?
We in there with a bunch of bitches, this, that, and you know.
And they're Christian friends.
They're justin friends.
So of course, ain't nobody on that door saying,
yo, let me see, man, when we used to have them parties in Miami,
I'll be right on that gate.
If something on there, yo, let me see your ID.
Ain't nobody ID and nobody going in it.
Puff is high out his mind, my niggas.
So he's not responsible for who going in his house.
That's your job to be responsible about who going in his house.
But it came to a point where now everybody is partying.
Because you're so high, you're not thinking about them.
That's my security in here talking to Shorty.
Who the fuck is on the gate outside?
You know what I'm saying?
I ain't give a fuck about that.
I was one of them niggas dead,
yo, at the beginning of the party,
I'm going to grab my thing
and I'm a stash her up in the room.
Ain't no reason for you to be out here
with all these things.
For sure, for sure.
You know what I'm saying?
Smart guy.
Whatever you want to drink,
I'm going to give you,
I got a pot full of smoke up there.
You just go up and cheer on way to the party as though.
One, I ain't want none of these niggies
to take the Shardie I picked.
For sure.
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I mean?
You know what I mean?
You gotta get that right from the beginning.
Yeah.
The doors is open for you.
Before all of these.
Get away from the star power.
Get away from the star power.
You know the thirsty, you got to get somebody who's just happy to be in the house.
And put her up in your room and stay.
Go check on every couple of hours.
You're all right?
You know what?
You know what I mean?
You know what I'm saying?
No, but I thought, yo, we're going to go to the pool and all that.
But we just, you know, all these niggas leave them.
We're going to get in the pool by itself.
You know what I'm saying?
They're like, okay, okay.
Okay, I ain't got to go home.
No, you ain't got to go home.
But when I left, it ain't nobody there
because everybody wanted to party.
So that's how you get,
that's how you get into the young girls,
the this, the dad, and the other.
I think the young girl thing would have,
that would have been my,
that would have been,
that would have been my limit right there.
The only thing that I can honestly say
is I've never seen the nigger with a young girl.
You know what I'm saying?
And I always stand up when they say that.
Like, I don't care.
how mad I am, I'm not gonna put something on you
that I've never seen.
You know what I'm saying?
I've never seen you with a girl under age.
No, but I understand, bro.
You got five daughters.
I have one daughter.
I have one daughter.
I got one daughter.
I love you, LeNiah.
Look, see, you have five.
So you see Cassie putting his hands on any man,
you see, you my homie.
You see me put my hands on a woman.
You're gonna stop me too.
Come on, man, I knew you for years.
You understand what I'm saying?
Yeah.
So it's like, when I read the book, you know,
And I'm definitely going to read the book.
I don't read it yet.
But me having a book, loyalty and lies,
the best thing about it is not a book
just to bash somebody in industry.
It's lessons of your life,
of you going through bids and being on Rikers
and going to jail, in prison, going up top.
You know, I met you on Rikers.
You know, I met you on Rikers.
When you met Yenna, Allen,
was you locked up for a body?
Nah.
All right, just making sure.
Nah.
Yeah, but we don't want to talk about...
He talked about seven bodies on here.
him, his son, his man that he took the charge for,
for the body, his son caught the body allegedly.
But look, I saw he been talking about,
his man who he's got him on with puff, caught the body.
That's what he been talking about.
No, you got it.
You got that one.
But the whole thing is, no, but the whole thing.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
What I'm saying is, look, the whole thing is like,
he's not glorifying none of it.
No, no, no.
He's just telling you, like, his man,
was locked up for a body and he took a charge.
You know what I'm saying?
He took the charge because his man was locked up already
and his man is calling him.
Because he really caught the body, nigga.
I know he did.
But look, he's not glorifying it.
No, I know.
He's just telling your loyalty.
Yeah, you know, I know.
Because if you catch a body and you locked up
and you're calling me, yo, when you're going to take the charge,
when you're going to take charge.
And my pops is in my ear.
He's like, I'm saying, you know, you don't have to do this.
The streets.
I would have like, Dad.
You know, you're right.
It's the streets, nigger.
And my pop said, I'm going to get you a body here.
It's the streets.
He said, nigga, I'm gonna get you a body.
Yeah.
I'm gonna get you out of here.
Was your pops on some of them street shit too?
No.
Okay, okay, copy copy.
He just understood it.
He just understood it.
He understood it and he did than dad.
But he was a straight nine and five years and all that.
But he knew the street, we still lived in all of them.
So he had to navigate a certain way.
I just know if it really ran the family like, yeah.
Your pops caught the body, you caught the body,
you caught the body, all right, copies like that.
So loyalty and lies, y'all make sure y'all get the book,
make some noise from my man, Roger Bond.
Definitely, man.
Yeah, yo, what's some advice you would give to you
streetwise and industry-wise being around one of the biggest names,
puff daddy, and you know, being in and out of prison
and you survived, you know what I mean?
I tell people all the time.
I get that question a lot, and I'll tell them young boys all the time.
First of all, you got to keep your vision.
You know what I'm saying?
One of the guys that really stand out to me is a boogie.
So after A. Buggy, that's how God we had them on him.
Yeah, we got to a day.
He's staying out to me, even though he's younger than me, I know some of the people that he's
with, some of the people that's bringing them up.
And they're real loyal to each other, man.
And they real loyal to each other.
Yeah, Hobridge getting a lot of money.
They crew is lawyer.
A lot of money.
They know, yeah.
Right about that, that's a fact, man.
Yes, that's a fact.
Okay.
So when people ask me, I go back to that and I say that's one example of money not changing
a relationship.
You know what I'm saying?
So I tell these young brothers.
I say, yo, just because he got money
don't mean that he's the smartest one.
You know what I'm saying?
People feel like, oh, because he's successful
he got money, I should listen to him.
Nah.
If that nigga running to the fucking war, you're going
run it to the war, just because he ran the war,
he got a million dollars in the bank? No.
So you got to make your decisions.
Yeah, I'm going to follow you on some things.
But then on some things, I'm going to be my
own person. And if that don't feel
right, it ain't right.
Definitely.
Point bring, not only that,
when you look at, and I'm going to use
another example when you look at J, when you look at Puff, you can't name one person around Puff
that was with him when he started.
Not one.
If I told you, yo, name me one, you can't name one.
All of the names that people would say, nah, they don't work for Puff.
They don't work for Puff.
They might be his friends if they do their own thing.
But when you look at J, you say, okay, I see Warren, I see Tye, I see Emory, I see
Jay. You know what I'm saying? I see
Kodak. Like you see people
who they and see
Puff thing, what really damaged Puff
was when he
has his homies like me around
and stuff like that, he still gives
that executive power or
that executive call to the
people that he don't know. Right.
Just because they went to college
or just because they graduated from Yale.
And is that, okay, one thing, you got
to learn how to separate things.
Okay, when it comes to business, I ain't going to their
Barnes pick up the phone and make no million dollar call.
Right.
But when it comes to my life, I'm like, y'all, y'all pick up the phone and call
Barnes.
That's my God.
That's my God.
That's my God.
So, you probably can't call such a sudden.
You can't call a nigga from West bubble fuck.
Then the niggas say, yo, now.
And then you say something about 50.
Hold up.
I got to listen to what Yale say because he, he know more about the person.
We don't tell, because I always tell people that people, the person that you see is not
that person.
That's the mask that they put on before they come out to society.
But a nigga who's been with him for 10, 20 years, he knows the person.
Right.
You know what I'm saying?
So I tell these kids all the time, yo, don't let that stuff get you to the point where you'll do anything for that person.
You know what I'm saying?
And I tell them, I say, yo, family is the most important.
I don't give a fuck.
Family is the most important thing that a person got.
That's right.
You know what I'm saying?
Especially when you're a dude.
You know what I'm saying?
We've been on the visit rooms, man.
Ain't nobody down there.
I ain't saying everybody, but there ain't nobody there but 60-year-old mother coming to see her son.
That's right.
And that's why we want everybody to get this book from a guy that's real.
It's the real report.
Tell them where we can find a book at, man, Blonde.
Everywhere.
Everywhere.
Amazon, let them everywhere.
You go Google Roger Barnes in to come up.
Everywhere.
The book is everywhere.
Shopify everywhere.
Make sure y'all pick it up, man.
Thanks for having you on the show.
Roger Bond.
This money is helping with my son.
so please go get that book.
Oh, definitely, man.
You know what I'm saying?
Definitely.
Support the booker.
Let's help give Roger Barnes son home, man.
He in Africa, crazy charges.
Let's get him home, man.
Let's go.
