A lot of times, like, I like being in studio by myself. Like, if I want to make a song like thick one, I'll probably bring some girls. But if I want to make some real music and get deep, I'll probably go by myself because I don't need no distractions. I don't need to feel like I'm not going to say this because this person here or not. I just need to get this shit off and I'm going to do it.

But tell the young niggas out there, the Yans out there about your real estate ventures because a lot of people don't know about that. I know you bought a lot of real estate up. Yeah, real estate. I got in a real estate from my guy. He works for the mayor's office. His name, Ray Simpson, a cold guy.

I um he started introducing real estate to me and um I was young but I was um I really got into it because every niggia that I know that sold dope and shit that's what they did with their money you know what I'm saying they bought houses you know what I'm saying so I got into it and I really flipped my first house this year I've been sitting on houses for like years but I flipped my first house this year a couple months ago congratulations appreciate you But I really jumped into it just because I had money. I wanted to see what I could do. Like I got a block where I got like three, four houses on there.

I bought them for $20,000 a piece. They worked like $500 and I'm like. And I ain't even touched them. So I just, that's what made me really love it. Now I'm getting into new developments. I'm going to like the youngest black developers from my hood. So it's like I could build from the ground up. Now I got into like a little bit with the politics helping the mayor.

and stuff getting the office. So they, like, they just always on my side. They make sure I do everything, right? If I need inspection and stuff, they just make sure I get my permits, do everything, right? So shout out Mary Sheffield and the mayor's office. They help me when I do gun buy bags that I didn't gave kids, shoes, 500 pairs of shoes.

I'm always showing up to those events. I put some kids through college, put some people through law school. So the mayor's office always helped me give back to the community and then my community bless me. You know what I'm saying? So that's why I go. I'm going to Detroit, man, one of the biggest artists. Yeah, because your hook's like, man, it's like you write million-dollar hooks, man.

I don't know. I just do you write or you just come in the booth. I do both. I do both. I'd be inspired by life, so I don't really go to the studio a lot. I try to live and then go to the studio to have something to write about. Like, if I made a song called Thick one, I probably had a thick one with you. Thick one that night.

He made that. He definitely had a reality. And you'd be rapping Detroit heavy. So what part shaped you the most in Detroit? Like, Detroit, the whole Detroit really shaped me though, because, like, I grew up on the West Side and stuff. My whole family from, like, Lentwood and that area. But I grew up, like, on, like, seven miles in Myers.

So, and then when I got older, I got like 19, I started going to the east side, running around. So it's like, I'd be inspired by everything about Detroit. Even the niggas I don't like. I rather hang with them than other niggas. Like, I would never hang with them niggas, but I'd rather hang with the niggas I don't like from Detroit. Then go to certain places and hang with, like, niggas, like, because niggas be weird to me. Got you, got you. Like, that's just a.

my preference, like Detroit niggas. My niggas, I fuck with niggas. Home be. I did the record with him. Mm-hmm. Yeah, yeah. Home just be, you get too comfortable at home. That's how he was talking about my shit and switch cheese and shit

because you get too comfortable. You get to doing normal shit? Ligas start hating and shit like that. Yeah, you know. You think niggas get bored when they get rich? It's like young rappers, like, you know, young celebrities and y'all make all this money and you can buy mansions and you can get any girl you want. I think that's not the boring.

The boredom part is when you get rich, you got to leave home and then that's not home. Like, again, you imagine being 25 and you can't go to the block. Like I grew up on the block. How the fuck you're going to tell me I can't go to the block because I'm rich? This is where I'm comfortable. This is where it makes me happy. So I got to be not happy because I'm rich. I think like that.

Once you get rich, the police ban you anyway. Because when you look at Young and Nace in Florida, he can't even go to Florida. can't even come back to where he's from. Yeah, that's from certain... That's from certain circumstances, though. Like, see, me, like, my city really loved me. It's just probably a couple niggas that just got it off of me. But my city really love me.

Like, I go anywhere. I could go anywhere. The police love me. Street niggas love me. The kids love me. Because I don't go starting problems. I ain't a nigga that's going to pull up looking for problems. I ain't even a nigga that's going to get on here.

So then Bryce and Tiller wasn't even the first person I wanted on there. I said, Chris, he was supposed to do the hook on the shit. But then Bryce and Tiller ended up doing it. We end up somehow getting Bryce and Tiller to do the hook. I was like, I still need Chris on this bitch.

Because Bryce and Tiller going to take me to the top. I need to go over the top. We need to blow the roof off this bitch. So then I just kept seeing Chris. I really ain't had the courage at first because Chris, my man. Like, I just fuck with him.

And I had like a theme for it and shit. And then I just was writing a little bit at a time. I wrote a verse. I liked it. Then I put the choir on it. Then I just kept adding pieces to it, took some pieces off. Kept working it. Care working it.

And then I got it to where I liked it. Then we got in the studio. I played it for my label. And that's when I was telling you, I got with Erica Campbell and her husband and stuff. And I went through that situation. There was like, damn, Erica Campbell can't get on this. And then when she got on it, she just made it.

That she brought it all the way together with the party. It made sense. Look at that. How is it working with Interscope? Shout to Interscope. You know, I love Interscope when we was there. We had a good time over there. Enterscope is one of the best labels to be at because you got a lot of resources at your hand.

It's a lot of big artists over there. And it'd be Interscope good for me because it might not be good for artists that just come in and trying to be here by day, going by night. Like, if you really want to work to be something, you probably want to go to Interscope because they're not going to really work your shit until they really see you ready to work your shit.
