And then, but that night was a historical, Night at that palladium. I mean, many, many nights was historical, bro. Like, the fact that Howard Homecoming, we used to always be around each other, bro.

Like, we just managed to always continue to bro. The Locks got an ill story. Kay had a broke leg. I had a book, and I must have a book. I must have did Howard did in one of them.

You know, Kelly Rowland's joint Rico, I almost forced her to take. She was like, I don't know. I was like, do it. To this day when Kelly seen me, she gave me the longest hug you ever seen in your life.

You know, Rico Love, he had the battery, you know, he had the mouth of the south before the people knew, you know, in the studio with him like, yo, I'm telling you, that shit is crazy. Your answer, that shit crazy. That night, he kept telling me, yo, take me to the club. And the only club open was stugged out entertainment. So I don't never want to take you somewhere where some shit might happen, right? But he was like, it's way before the wife, he was like, yo, I got to take me to the mommy's take. And he was specific. So the mommy's, he really had to go in the trenches. Like, I'm like, tonight's Tuesday.

So we go. I said, fuck it. We go love to look like, he wanted to cry. He's like, damn, nigga taking up. He knew where you was going. And I go in there. And I look at the man. And the man levitating them one.

And, yo, listen, because the thing about celebrities, listen, guys, the way to become cool with a celebrity is you got to act, you know, respectful, but you almost got to act like you've been here before. I look, this thing is levitating in one spot. The whole club is looking at them. And I got to act like I saw. Who is he done? No, I got to act like I seen somebody else do it.

But then I look back again and he's like, and I'm like, is this motherfucker floating? It's not funny. That's where I was like, mama, there goes that man. Yo! It's crazy. You remember that shit, huh? That's crazy. You still get nervous after all these years because you're doing a lot of hard working up there.

Singing, choreography, there's theater. It's a bunch of things combined. Do you ever get a little bit of butterflies? Nah, man, it's legacy time, bro. You know, I feel fortunate, man. You know what I'm saying? And just be able to say that, you know, I've been doing this long enough to, you know,

be the youngest of the oldest and the, I betty it the oldest of the youngest and the youngest of the oldest. You know what I'm saying? As a legacy artist, to be able to continue to still keep it together because this whole tour right is about bringing bookends together. You know what I'm saying? We see what Chris has been doing. We see what I've done.

And we've done records together, but being able to get on stage, we're in our comfort zone. He's been swung for the past, you know, three years plus I've been swore for the past three years. We've been talking about it for so long. If anything, it's anticipation. I'm like, I'm feeling the nerves because I'm ready to get out to tell shit up. You know what I'm saying? Every single night we go in, we say a prayer before we hit the stage, man, give thanks. And go out there and we allow the audience to see what they came, to see an incredible show.

So now, if anything, I'm in, I'm deep in anticipation, bro. Funny thing. Hold on, let me tell you something about Rico. Because, you know, I actually put the battery in Rico's back. Not many people go all the way back to the beginning of Rico's career. But I signed Rico as an artist and was like, yo, I really do. I love you so much. I think you need to be a writer, bro. Like, for real, like, not to say that you're not an incredible artist,

but you have a way of being able to articulate what you're trying to say in a way that people can get it in. and they feel it. And I took him on the road with me, man. We went on tour for confessions. Matter of fact, after he gave me the record, I was like, yo, Rico, I want you to come out and you do your verse, because he did a verse for the song as well.

But, man, I'll tell you a funny story, we were in Milwaukee, right? And Rico, he don't know no better, you know what I'm saying?
