We like to look it back
Get a little bit nostalgic on a Friday
And look at something from a few years gone by
In Flashback Friday
Used to be a great period didn't there
Where there were just jingles for everything
There was a song for every product
You have a product they can write a song for it
You did that
I did You did it for windscreen glass no for show us your crack was the jingle i
wrote uh yeah i wrote a few back in the day for those but that's the only one that still exists
what other jingles did you write oh that's like that was probably the one the most that would be
the only one that's the most memorable one but that was like when jay-z had 99 problems
bm boys had show us your crack but now my kids will hear a jingle on the end,
they'll be like, did you write that one?
But no, no, I didn't.
What about that one?
No, I didn't write St. Pierre's.
I didn't write that one.
I didn't write, you know.
It would have been good if you did write St. Pierre's.
I know, I do like that one.
You're going to love our sushi, St. Pierre's.
But this is a great jingle from a few years ago,
you remember, Spray and Wipe.
Yeah.
Got a call from Susie, our daughter. Something had distraught her. Spray and Wipe Yeah
Spray and Wipe So there's a few versions of this ad
Same tune right
But it was usually the one panicked lady
That was like,
oh, jeez, I've really let things get away with the knife.
So this is her daughter.
She has an absolute flap.
Some arsonist had burnt down the wedding venue.
She's about to walk down the aisle, Ben.
Yeah.
She's like, what am I going to do, Mum?
Mum, come back to Mum's house.
It's an absolute, it's like a wreck, a homeless wreck.
There's spaghetti all over the walls.
It's like they had a spaghetti speed eating competition or something.
Things got wild the night before.
Really, there was dirt smeared all over the kitchen.
It was wild.
And she's like, don't worry, I'll just, a couple of sprays.
And I tell you what, the clean up job was remarkable.
There was another one as well that was that they were bringing around a buyer for the
house, bringing around a buyer.
And that was the same again the night before, another wild, wild party. Oh, Mr. Fry was bringing around a buyer for the house, bringing around a buyer, and that was the same again the night before
at a wild, wild party.
Well, Mr. Fry was bringing around a buyer, wasn't he?
He was.
That's right.
She's like, oh, my goodness.
But they got the house perfect within a couple of sprays,
wiped a few things down, and sold the house.
What I like, too, about that one that I was watching is the –
because the fire department were obviously called to the wedding venue
to put out the fire.
But then the firefighters were at the function back at the wedding venue to put out the fire but then the firefighters were
at the function back at the spray and wipe
house at the end. Surely they've got
jobs done for them. No other fires in the
neighbourhood. We've got time to relax.
Logistically I'm like surely there's a bit of clean up you need
to do back at the wedding venue.
But they're kissing the spray and wipe lady on the cheeks
and all sorts. There we go
spray and wipe. Get yourself
get your mum a bottle of Mother's Day.
