Because I just started reading on your Instagram, you just got COVID coming up for the second time. Dude, I flew back because I went down to New Zealand for a week to play a show, I flew back because I went down to New Zealand for a week to play a show, and I came back on the flight, and I reckon I got COVID on that nasty-ass flight. Don't blame it on us. Don't blame it on us.

I'm blaming it on you. Are you one of these people who are like, oh, I've got to go and isolate, or you just plow on? Oh, look, I'm plowing on, but I am isolating because I'm also like, I don't want to get everyone affected. I just feel bad. Might just have to roll with things like COVID. Obviously, now you're isolating, doing the right thing.

But rescheduling tours, that's what you're having to do. And it's good to know that the tour to Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Nelson, Raglan and Lee, it's happening. It's finally happening. It's happening. It's happening, man. I mean, I hope it is. It's like the country's in chaos right now

are you guys doing okay yeah the hawks bay and hastings jeez again gizmon actually yeah i know it's bad and i've seen all that around the coromandel and ha hey and all the roads up there and just like roads gone wild to see i'm hoping i can get in because last time we were sort of like on the edge of our seat seeing if we could even fly down for the last show because of all the rain and everything so i don't know new zealand's gone gone mad and then when you do come here we give you covid then i get covid i know but uh you gotta get something right it's like a lasting kiss new single out yes somebody's gonna die tonight uh which sounds like somebody it kind of sounds like a game of cluedo or clue as they call it in america i discovered but yeah

but it does but it's not about it's about death of an ego yeah yeah and it's kind of like you know i don't know i've been doing so much therapy these days because i feel like finally i've got to look at my own self and what i'm doing wrong in this situation. I'm not in my 20s anymore where it's like, no, nothing's wrong with me. I'm awesome. I'm like 30s and going, ah, I think there's some patterns and I could be responsible. And so I'm sort of thinking I'm in this sort of raw, fresh state of going, maybe all those things that I carried around as a child for survival and teenage years, I don't really need that anymore

so it's sort of a death to all of those things that were former ways of surviving and getting through life um that don't really apply and are not really necessary to carry me into the next part of my life you know what I mean so it's sort of so sort of a death to that you know everything that I think that I was that i'm not truly that i am not really am anymore you know what i mean that makes sense that is what a very smart and deep way to approach life i'm i'm still living like an arrogant 23 year old thinking it's all about me don't worry you'll get there boys are slow you'll probably hit it in your 50s or something and you'll buy a red porsche, oh, my God, look at me.

Red Porsche and a partner who's about 21 years old. Exactly. I'll be like, ah, he did not do the work. Speaking of partners, I got lost on your partner's Instagram. Firstly, super handsome, babe. I see why you snapped him up. Such, babe. Yeah.

Secondly, I didn't realize he's got a really strong connection to travis barker he does yeah they're good buddies yeah they were um well travis is sort of like the reason that his band all started and came to be so it was a it was a brainchild of jay my husband and travis and john feldman from goldfinger three of them were like, hey, should we do this sort of, you know, punk, because all those dudes are really steeped in punk and hardcore. They're still good buddies. Travis is less involved now with this new record, but, you know, we still get really expensive candles from him,

which is nice when the holidays comes around. Are you hanging out with Kourtney and the Kardashian family or not? Oh, tight, you know, so tight. Me and her, we're just like, we're sort of the same kind of people, you know? We're just totally on the same wavelength. No, I'm not buddies with Kourtney Kardashian. If you were though,

you'd want better gifts than a candle from Kourtney. I mean, I would, I would. I'd want a candle at least in like a pouch or something, like a velvet sort of with a ribbon. God, I actually, I'm going to bring out something that happened like 10 years ago, Jen. I love your music.

And one of your songs I do was actually the song that when my daughter was first born, we had your CD. And that was the song that we would kind of use to settle her. You know, when you're trying to get back to sleep. Now, every time. I know all about that. Oh my gosh. We used somewhere over the rainbow.

I do. And that was the song we gosh. We used Somewhere Over the Rainbow. I do. And that was the song, We Try and Settle. So how old are they? And every time I hear that song, I get quite emotional thinking of this little girl. Oh, I love that. Thank you. That's so good. I'm so glad it worked.

Well, because she's, you know, she's 13 now. When you come back, will you do us a favor? We'll film it for social media. We're all in her bedroom, and then you can sing her to sleep.
