The Hits, the Jono and Ben podcast. Alright, Megan Pappas, we'd love to get her in. She tells us what to watch and what are we needing to watch this week, Megan? Alright, let's start with today, the big news, Ed Sheeran's documentary drops. Ginger hair. Really short. He stutters. That's his Tinder profile.

Yeah, this looks good. The sum of it all. Disney Plus. Yeah, it does look good. It looks really emotional though, doesn't it? Yeah, with his wife's health problems and he loses some people really close to him in his life as well. Yeah, his best friend.

But they said she had a tumour and then obviously when she was pregnant and then she couldn't get it treated until after she'd given birth. But I didn't realise it was cancer. I guess we don't really know where she's at in that journey. But his wife, who's quite private, she's spoken and said, I wanted to do this documentary prior to her health scare. She would have never done something like this.

But because she was realizing her own mortality, she was like, what will people think of me? If I leave this earth, what are people's perception of me? And that's what made her join in in the documentary. So we're going to get a lot of personal chats. Is it Sherry? Yeah. Is it Sherry or Cherry?

Cherry or Sherry? I don't know. I hope he knows. What's the doco? But they seem to have a, because were they high school sweethearts and they went their separate ways and they reconnected. It's very cute. Beautiful love story. And he was obviously clearly going through some stuff when he started his tour here.

Yeah. Wasn't doing any press, wasn't doing any, you know, didn't see him. And we always catch up with Ed when he's here. He loves chatting to Kiwis. Yeah. But obviously, you know, humans. They're just human beings at the end of the day. We'll see him break down.

There's a shot from that trailer and he breaks, he gets in the car and then just starts crying. It's quite tough to watch. She said instead of writing diary entries, the day of her diagnosis, he went away for four hours and wrote seven songs just to get it out. I don't know if they feature and subtract, but we are going to get that new album in two days. Very cathartic.

On Friday, yeah. He's like, you know what, I'm grieving. I'm going to go off and write five or six top ten smash hits. I'll be back in a second. That'll make you feel a little bit better about things. It wouldn't be mean, but are they all the same? Like, are they all a bit, you know, doom and gloom? It's amazing how quickly he can write songs.

Yeah. That's part of the court case as well. He's like, I can write, not trying to brag about it. He'll just write nine songs in a day and things like that. It's just what he'll do. Imagine if that news is broken and he's like, I'm going to go away

and write some songs. She's like, he's going to be writing some tear jokers. And then he comes back with some club bangers. Yeah. Club bangers.

A lot of songs about second marriages. This is weird. This is... I'm going to move on so quick. Sweet Tooth is the next... What was this?

Robert Downey Jr. I think he produces it. It's epic. I watched a few episodes with the kids in the first series as well. It's very, very cool. And a few Kiwi actors pop up as well too with some great American accents, which is awesome yeah marlon williams is in season two his music as well so it's awesome yeah what's it about oh okay that's important um it's about a virus kind of like the end of the world and then this new hybrid human like these

babies turn up and they're half animal half half human. But then obviously lots of humans are threatened by them, so they're looking to take them out. This is topical too. AI. Not on board. How's the AI getting into this? Chat GBT all that business. How's AI getting into this?

Humans are threatened. Oh, you know, do the math. If anything, it's quite secluded and there's a virus. Yes, COVID. Maybe that was topical. Chat GPT, mate. What are your thoughts and feelings on Chat GPT?

I don't know. I'm kind of not too threatened currently, but you know. Chat GPT wouldn't offer to buy us a copy, would it? So there you go. I've heard some great Kanye West songs from Chat GPT, so I think we could probably replace him. Do you know management here were a little threatened by the looming prospect of Chat GPT,

and they'd sent out a wonderful list, 10 Things Robots Can't Do. Did you really? They did. 10 Things Robots Can't Do. That's really sweet. It was sweet. But I was like, to be honest, a robot's going to do my job.
