Cinemas today, Indiana Jones and the Doll of Destiny, the iconic character back. It's back, Harrison Ford, the fifth movie, and we got to interview him after the show yesterday. We were very nervous about interviewing the legend. All week we've been saying we just want to make him smile. You were helping us come up with a joke that we could tell him. Yeah, we'd never seen him smile and we're like, mate, if we can bring a smile to his face, it'll bring a smile to the world. So we all settled on, thanks to our democracy through vote,

through the system of voting, we settled on. The joke was we're going to put some hats on, some Indiana Jones-style hats at the end of the interview. If that didn't make him smile to begin with. We'd warmed him up. At the end of the interview, we're going to tell him, what is it called when you discuss the differences between Han Solo and Indiana Jones?

Comparison Ford. Now that is some rock solid gear right there. So like Ben said, we were going to wait till the end in case it went terribly wrong to do. So here is our interview with Harrison Ford, Indiana Jones himself. Hello, if you both could please say your names and outlet and then begin, please. We are Jono and Ben from new zealand from a radio

station called the hits and i assume that's harrison ford yeah and i assume there's a couple of aliens with things sticking out of their heads talking about us or behind us no i'm talking about you oh yeah we have come from a far away place, New Zealand. Beautiful place. I've been there and I love it. Well, we did. We heard you came here because, you know, Indiana Jones, adventure, action star. But in New Zealand, you're an action star.

You did skydiving. Yeah, yeah. Mostly walking, trekking, enjoying the beautiful nature. What really impressed us too is that you flew economy on Air New Zealand. Like, you're Harrison Ford. At least you can stretch for premium economy. Yeah. I didn't know there was an opportunity.

It made news in New Zealand. Harrison Ford's on a plane with everyone else. Aren't you a pilot? I mean, you and Chewbacca can also fly, but aren't you actually a pilot in real life? Yeah, I'm a better pilot than Chewbacca. Yeah. also fly but aren't you actually a pilot in real life yeah i'm a better pilot than chewbacca yeah did you think i mean you know 40 years ago when you're just over 40 years ago when you made the first movie you'd be doing five of them and you'd be talking to john owen being in new zealand no i had no idea that we'd still be doing it 42 years later it's phenomenal yeah it's phenomenal and but it's but it has been the audience acceptance of what we've done, what Stevens and George did with the very first movie in Raiders of the Lost

Ark. And it's just been a brick on a brick. It's like a with a solid foundation of character and point of view. You can spin the web for longer than you imagine, but you've got to have strong thread. You've got to have a great story. And we waited 15 years to have an idea that extended the useful life of Indiana Jones into a new emotional arena. And you're still doing your own stunts in the movie too.

You're tall, you're shoulder muscle. I mean, surely there's other people that can be doing that for you now. That was an accident. It wasn't a stunt. I was just showing the director and the cinematographer an idea I had about Indiana Jones when he dons his iconic costume for the first time, he's on a train filled

with Nazis. And I was half dressed with my hat in my hand when I rushed from one train car to the other. If I'm coming in through the door, I'm coming at this angle. I got the hat in my hand. I'm going to shove my hand. I wasn't even throwing it that hard i was just going like this and when he stepped in i pulled back with my shoulder and that's when i ripped the subs oh harris well oh so there we go uh he'd gone on a three and a half minute rant uh harrison ford hadn't he we'd like he'd started talking about the moon landing and all sorts of stuff and as this is happening, I can feel your anxiety sweeping

over you, Ben Boyce. You're like, we've got to get the joke. We've got to make him smile. We've built up all week. We've got to tell him the joke at the end of the interview. One thing I've learnt about an 80 year old is you can't rush along an 80 year old, can you? Yeah, and we had a message pop up from his people saying, you need to wrap up. So we thought, oh, this is our time.

We're going to tell him a joke. We're going to make Harrison Ford smile. And this is what happened. Oh, Harrison Ford, we have been told to wrap just quickly before we go. We wanted to make you smile. That's all the time we have, guys. Oh, okay. All right.

You just made him smile. Did I make you smile? Yes, I was going to do jokes. I'm not smiling. I'm thinking, what a disaster. But it's okay. I had a great time. We had a great time too.
