Megan, we have a surprise for you. Really? We do. Is it a birthday surprise? We know how much you love creating, cooking. Why is Grace moving all the microphones? It's just surprising. Grace is coming because, you know, yeah, you do love creating stuff and you are very good at creating that stuff.

Making food from scratch. And so what we thought we would do is give you the opportunity to put some of your first. food on display for some professional chefs. Now we haven't got you much warning for this. Zero warning. No warnings. I don't have any food. Like I've only got my breakfast. Exactly.

Oh, God. Every morning you come in and you bring in the same breakfast. Oh my God. Yeah, like, okay. Here they are. Colin and Manu. Here to judge, Megan's. How are you?

Nice to see you. Now, Musso, I've been really enjoying the new TV show, guys. Yeah, Column, you know them. Yeah, from TV. They're here as well for the food show this weekend. You can go check them out. But Megan did not know. Every day she makes her own breakfast,

and we call them the kind of depressing-looking pancakes. Now, you... Depressing. You explain that. And a bit of booze, I see. We've got a bottle of whiskey there, too. Okay, Megan, you've got your chance now to sell your food. Okay, so I haven't been warned.

Are you aware of the cottage cheese craze? Nope. Nope. Are you not well? Not a good start. Not a good start. So I make a lot of things with cottage cheese because it's got protein. There's other ways you can get protein to you.

They're already judging you. They're already judging you. I make pancakes that I bring to work and they're made with cottage cheese. They're blueberry pancakes. You need to get a hobby. That's what we say. I think that's the hobby. That is the hobby.

Oh my God. And now you're apparently going to have to try them. Actually pass me out whiskey beer. It's a whiskey ear as well. Wash it down with the whiskey. They're not even heated. Do you want them heated? We'll give you the option.

Yeah, yeah, please. Heat them. What's the name it is? Blueberry pancakes. Megan's cottage cheese. Megan's cottage cheese pancakes. It's a pressing pancakes. You guys are terrifying.

You have like game faces on. And Minu, there's no sauce. Well, why not? Because I didn't know you were coming. A blueberry jam or compote. I'm so sorry. With some cram fresh over the top. College cheese.

What more? Already want. Codice cheese. 7 a.m. A bit of cottage cheese. Minou loves sauce. Go to the MKR. This is the MKR look.

Oh, okay. So this is what you do. Oh, God. You look it. Oh my God. It's the raised eyebrows and he's kind of going with the texture. And you have a taste. You don't say it.

Okay. Don't say, yeah, you'd need to really. Oh, Minu's looking at it. With that look of. Let me give you the stare. Smelling it. Oh. He's gag.

He's gagging. Okay, they're not giving anything away. I can't tell by their faces. No, that's... What they think so far. Do you feel pressure to chew a lot? Colin go for the whiskey. That was Megan's birthday present?

What age you? What age? I'm not meant to ask him. You can guess, guess. Oh, no. I thought he meant... The whiskey. She's aged well like the whiskey.

Do you know what? Colin just ID'd me. I've got a question. Are you on a special diet? Like a cardboard diet? There's no sugar. She's not having sugar. She's not having anything fun.

What's the point? You've got to live a little. You have been eliminated. Yeah. Has he any positives? No, you know, the positive is no one's going to stay from you. No one's sealing it. No one's taking it from you.

Oh, that's so good to have you guys. Yeah, so as you guys, I was saying, you hang out a lot, you're on my kitchen rules, You've been traveling around New Zealand here for the food show as well. But did you guys holiday together, have Christmas together with your families as well on top of everything? Well, we live down the road from each other. Yeah, we do Christmas. Most Christmas, the last five, six years. Oh, really?

Christmas doesn't. Pointing at the bottle of whiskey. Bear pong and whiskey pong. Yeah. And so, do you get sick of eating? Because you would have to do it all the time. It depends. There's days where there's different stories.

Yeah, when someone gets your pancake. No, Beno says like he needs a drink. He's like, oh, these dry pancakes. That's where we've got to do different stories, and sometimes you have to eat three or four things in the diet. And you get to the last one, you go, can we do something else? Yeah, like my kitchen rules are you, like, how many meals you're eating through a shoot?

Well, we film at night. Edible ones. Oh, you film at night. We film at night. So we start at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. And sometimes up to 4 o'clock in the morning. Wow. And then we live during the day.

So sometimes we eat during the day, and then we eat during the night. And then, yeah, it's spread out. But still, it's like three months of shooting, and then we put on about five kilos only, you know. And now, and then we do off the grid, and they're like, oh, have it all the pie. And then we get on the plane on the way home.

We're like 10 kilos. We've got to pay for extra way. So what about, what's things? Like, because you talk about food overseas, you know, people have Italian food, Yeah, different cuisines. Well, what do you think New Zealand does really well? Because sometimes you struggle to think what is in New Zealand, what's a New Zealand food?

I think what we love about New Zealand is like when we go out and there's hunting, does fishing, like not just the pies of all that. But I think the respect, that's a big thing. When you go to the coast or hunting or diving, the respect that the people have for the food, like they take what they need. Yeah. And even we kill the wild boar in the last step. Like they took the heart and put it back in the tree to get the soul back. Stuff like that's great for us to see. Yeah, I think it's, you've got the respect of catching your feet,

but then you also get the respect of what's on the plate and so on. So that's what we like about you. But about you, about you people. You're strange. Strange little people at the end of the world. No, but I think your cuisine, it's not wide. But the produce that you've got here, is absolutely amazing.

You can never go to the ocean and put your line in the water and not get anything. And that's quite amazing. You know what I mean? So you... I did. I'm kind of cold.

Who do you... Worldwide, what would you name it as your favourite cuisine? I don't stall them off. Really? What country are you from? Hang on, hang on. Would it be your home cuisine?

Well, it has to be. You know, that's where you started, that's what you've learned. That's what I do the best as well. But my wife is Malaysian. I absolutely love Malaysian food. I absolutely love Japanese food. I detest Irish food. We didn't have any other than we.

We recently did something where Irish food was featured at French food. And he just spent the whole day bagging down. What's Irish food? We had that potato. I'm glad you said it. I didn't want to. I was trying to think of it's something else. I can't get buck in your box.

Yeah, yeah. I prefer to eat potatoes than that. Potatoes on the side. Oh, Colin and Manu. Great hanging out with you guys. At the food show. Come down today. Come down today.
