Hey, welcome to the podcast.
We just finished the show and you'll hear all the updates.
Imagine you'll hear all the updates on the podcast of where Megan is.
Hi, Grace.
Maybe you don't give it away exactly where she is.
You'll hear it on the podcast.
Grace is leaving the secret location now.
She's flying back to wherever.
Megan and Grace have been hidden away for the rogue.
It was a fun morning trying to figure out where you were.
What I did love and maybe laugh during that last little chat we had on radio.
Now, we talked about you flying, Megan, with your big head back, mouth open flight.
Big head back.
There's a big head.
I don't think you make that.
Your big head.
You have a big guy against your noggin.
You're a massive head.
Back on the plane.
You got your headphones on.
They found they put their head in the plane.
She had to pay extra too for carry-on on their head.
Oh my God, you give me a complete.
You actually don't have a big head.
They maybe put it through, you know, as you go on it.
You're like, does your suitcase?
for the ear you should just put her head in that little thing and you're like no it doesn't
it doesn't fit in there but anyway uh man hannesson very quick our boss uh he's he's he's
photoshopped your big head with a cigarette in your mouth on the plane as well
is he on it right away it's just come true this is going to start that's nice than what could
have been photoshopped in there this is going to start a thread now I know he's done a great job of
just your big head with a big cigarette as well which you went on
Oh my God.
It's so funny.
I have asthma.
That's bad for me.
I know.
On a flight.
Obviously, not happening.
He's done a good job with that.
It made me laugh.
It made me laugh.
It was very funny.
Anyway, well, we revealed where you are as you are headed away from the show and you went
Roga.
Thanks to invisible zinc mineral sunscreen.
Enjoy the podcast.
John O'Ben and Megan on the hit.
Spoon 5.
You're on the Hits Breakfast.
605 is the time.
Heading it to the weekend.
And yesterday.
Well, one of us went rogue and it was Megan.
Jono Ben and Megan's The Rogue with Invisible Zinc Mineral Sunscreen.
Yes, someone, we've been saying all week someone was going to disappear from the radio show.
Your mission is to track them down and text spotted and the location you think they're hiding to 4487.
And thanks to Invisible Zincol Mineral Sunscreen, someone today will win $5,000.
Here is the moment yesterday where Megan exited the show and revealed she was the rogue.
News Headlines
Oh
Megan not here
Brin Rudkin
Oh the rogue has been found again
Is it Megan?
She's not here for the news
Brins come on in
I have some breaking news actually
Oh yes what's that
Megan Pappers is the road
So yeah that was it
She did have the energy
Of very suspicious
Gaslighting lying
Sort of individual through the week
Even her son Basty
He kind of dropped her in it a bit
Have you heard any conversations between mummy and daddy saying,
oh, mommy's got to go away for work this week?
Why did my dad say no?
Beautifully cute and beautifully honest.
So Megan, do you join us from a secret location at a secret town or city in New Zealand?
Come on in.
I do.
Good morning, John and Ben.
Good morning.
I am at my location.
Bright and early in the morning.
I went out and about yesterday.
You know what's true, Ben and me.
yesterday is you told us after the show that you flew to a location that you've never
flown to before so for us that that eliminated quite a few locations we thought you
were going to yeah you've never flown on that that flight right from Auckland to this
particular place that's correct so that really threw it was not a lie yeah I was
like I think I know where you're going and then when you said that I was like oh hang on so
big plane small plane it's um it's a plane with with wind
You're not giving away too much.
Now, you have given away a few clues on social media,
so people can hear to The Hits Breakfast.
On Facebook and Instagram,
if they want to delve into some clues,
and throughout the morning you can text through your questions
to 4487 for Megan.
But you went out and talked to some locals yesterday, we understand.
I did.
So I met up with Gary and Fiona.
I was using their services.
Okay, Gary and Fiona.
We were using their services.
and I wanted to know what they, because they're actually new to the area.
Okay.
And I wanted to know what they liked about it.
I'm with Fiona and Gary.
Now, I just wanted to, without giving away where we are right now,
what do you like about this particular place we're in, this location?
It reminds me of old New Zealand back in the 70s.
In what way?
That the shops close on a Saturday and a Sunday.
I don't want to see I like the shops closing a Saturday or Sunday,
but no, it's a lovely, lovely part of the country.
What are the people like?
Very friendly, helpful, not accommodating, no complaints.
She's flown to 1982.
Okay, okay, well, there we go.
We'll have some more questions for Megan
as we try and delve into the actual town or city that you are hiding.
4487, it's spotted, and the place that you think Megan is,
and someone today will win 5,000.
I've got $5,000.
That's a huge price.
That's a lot of money.
And now I know you're...
Figuring out where I'm at.
Funny side up.
John O'Ben and Megan on the hits.
Time to go to Italian correspondent.
Tootonga, it's Cheryl Daniela.
Chaubello.
Chellea.
You're doing so well.
Is Megan Papa's with you?
Is she hiding in your house?
Yeah, have you got it?
Megan, shut up.
Megan, they're here.
It's like you're holding her hostage.
You haven't seen her around Taronga?
Who knows?
She's maybe my apartment right now.
You never know, hey.
Well, Megan had just to excuse herself for a couple minutes on the show.
So, yeah, maybe.
Maybe she's with you.
If you do know where she is, Dex spotted in the location to 4487.
No, because obviously you're on the other side of the world.
What are you running away from?
What I'm running away from?
I'm in Taronga.
I'm still in my home today at the moment.
No, but you're in Italy.
You're in Italy originally now, yeah.
What crimes are you running away from?
With my mind, I'm in Italy at the moment.
Yes, you're right.
And I'm in Isola Delba.
It's a beautiful island across Tuscany.
And the water is like Maldives.
Oh, that's what she's imagining she's in.
Oh, right.
Okay.
Correct.
All right.
You didn't quite grasp the question.
That's okay.
That's okay.
Hey, can I ask you something?
My daughter, Indie and I were making,
we're just making homemade pizza in the weekend.
and we were having a debate, right?
And I thought, well, maybe I'd ask you.
So we made the pizza, and we were putting, like, the, you know, the tomato base on top of the pizza.
And then we were like, where does the cheese go?
Now, is the cheese go next on top of the base and then your toppings,
or you're putting the toppings and then the cheese on top?
Okay, very good question.
I love that you ask.
You are amazing.
You ask the master, not master.
Okay.
Now, if it's a margarita pizza, okay, then you just put the table.
tomato and cheese
and after fresh
the bezel on top
okay well that's easy that's an easy one
you've started I know that I know that
so let's say you've got some toppings
I know you don't like lots of toppings in Italy and stuff
and let's say what can be agree on like a salami
or something you know let's say
mushroom
olives artichok
ham then on that case
you put the mozzarella at the end of the top
sprinkle it over the top but hey
do you know one of the only mild interesting
facts I know is about the margarita pizza.
Did you know the margarita
pizza was invented for
your queen, queen margarita?
Queen margarita, yes, she wants something
simple, I know, that's the name come from.
And then the creator of the
pizza, so it's got
white cheese, red tomato
sauce and green
toppings, which is the Italian
flag. Correct.
It is, you're right. And some people
margarita, it depends which part of Italy
you come. Some people put just
some people put fresh
pesto made with bezel
Pesto's not a bad option
yeah yeah man
all right so you gave me
you gave me 50 like sometimes you put cheese on before
the top and other times cheese on top
yeah so there's some options there depending on the type of pizza
do you ever stuff the cheese in the crust
like uh yeah
no no no don't even try
oh mate you have a butter chicken pizza with a stuffed cheese crust
you never go back you never go back to your margarita pizza after that
no you know what you will be
proud of me. Someone invited us
last minute for Tina last week
and they order pizza
for us. From where?
From Pizza Hut.
Oh, okay. Yeah.
It was the first time I tried
and I need to say, I want to be
kind, okay? But if I need to say
it was yucky and not eatable,
I would lie. I see you like,
I actually really like the butter chicken
with the cheese crust. I didn't think I was
good, but I was like, actually, it's really good.
The old butter chicken pizza, really
Clashing of two cuisines there.
Yeah, with the cheese stuff crust, but it was good.
Beautiful.
So the review of Pizza Hut is you'd like to say it wasn't as bad as you thought it was going to be.
Correct.
I never tried.
It was the first time in my life.
But, you know, I tried.
I give a go.
Okay.
And then spaghetti and sausages.
We gave you those, too.
Oh, stop it.
If you ever, ever bring that to me again, otherwise we're not friends anymore.
Okay, right.
We gave her a wadi spaghetti is and sausages.
Not a fan.
Not a fan.
But still, I'm still.
very high on your invite
guys to come and we will
cook for you next time. Oh, we can't
wait. We will get back there. Well, Megan might be there
already. John O'Ben and Megan
on the hits.
Ono Ben and Megan's The Rogue with Invisible Zinc
Mineral Sunscreen. Okay,
that's recap because we've been saying
all week that someone was going to go missing
from the show. It could happen at any stage
at any time and thanks to Invisible Zincol
Sunscreen, you could win $5,000
if you guessed correctly. The town or city
that person would end up in. We didn't
No, which one of us was going to go rogue and when it was going to happen.
Well, you disappeared from the show and were like, oh, it's Ben.
And then two minutes later, this happens.
News headlines.
Oh, Megan, not here.
It is Megan.
Oh, the rogue has been found again.
Is it Megan?
Well, she's not here for the news.
Britain's come on in.
I have some breaking news, actually.
Oh, yes, what's that?
Megan Pappas is the rogue.
She's the road.
Yeah, it was yesterday.
Megan now, 24 hours, pretty much 24 hours later,
live from her secret location.
It's like a leer.
I've sent you a picture of my setup.
Well, there's cables everywhere.
There's, you know, broadcast equipment, taped to walls.
It looks like someone on the verge of a mental breakdown.
That's accurate.
Yeah, right.
The past 24 hours, it's accurate.
So what do we know?
Yesterday we spoke to you around about this time,
and you were, well, just after this time,
but you were heading to the airport, you're about to take a flight.
And what really confused us was that you'd never flown from Auckland to that location
on that direct flight before.
That is correct.
I had never taken that flight.
I've never been to that airport.
And you know, as radio people over our careers, we've flown a lot, been all over the country,
but I've never flown that flight.
I also told Maddie and PJ that I flew for over an hour and I drove for over an hour
before I reached my location yesterday.
It's one of the joys of this job.
You visit the high highs of this country
and the lowest of lows as well.
You really get to experience the spectrum of Otero,
but you met with Fiona and Gary
who live in the area where you are currently hidden
and you spoke to them.
I'm with Fiona and Gary.
Now, I just wanted to,
without giving away where we are right now,
what do you like about this particular place
we're in, this location?
It reminds me of Old New Zealand
back in the 70s.
In what way?
that the shops close on a Saturday and a Sunday?
I don't want to say I like the shops closing a Saturday or Sunday,
but no, it's a lovely, lovely part of the country.
What are the people like?
Very friendly, helpful, not accommodated, no complaints.
Geez, don't tell the bloody national party the shops are closing Saturday and Sunday.
They're trying to get the economy back on track.
What's out what sleepy town is this?
Okay, if you can work out what town all city Megan's at,
your tech spotted, and then the location to 4487, as I said before,
Thanks to Invisible Zinc, Mineral Sunscreen,
Summer's Hair, stay sunsmart,
and make Invisible Zinc, you'll go to sunscreen.
Someone with a correct guess will win $5,000 before 9 o'clock this morning.
I did.
I was out in about for about three hours yesterday afternoon,
and I have seen a couple of comments of people who reckon they saw me.
Can we go to that next?
Can we talk through some of the photos and videos that you put up on social media next?
Yes.
Can we ask you some questions?
Sure.
If anyone's got some other questions as well, full for it, see me anything, babe.
Yeah, we are asking you anything, but even give us a straight answer.
Well, you can ask me.
Okay, all right.
4487, what do you want to know?
Oh, about 100 of the hits.
I want to know from Megan.
You can get a guess as many times as you want, and there's been a lot of guesses coming through.
Jesus, blowing up the text machine on 4487.
Yeah, are you in Oh, Hakunae, Megan?
No.
Oh, are you, I like this, Megan.
I like this, Megan saying yes or no, because you have sounded a lot like a politician over the last 24 hours.
We're getting some firm, hard answers now.
Okay, can I get...
Here's the one that's just come through from Dylan.
Has Megan ever been to Invercargle question?
Yes, I have.
You did say you flew to a location.
You'd never caught that flight or landed via aircraft in that location.
Before Andre was on previously, he wanted to know if you were in Rolliston Christ Church, Megan.
No.
But can you stop asking me direct locations?
They'd be great.
No.
Who's sitting the rules here?
you, mate?
I'm just going to end up building questions.
I'm like, are you here?
Are you here?
All right.
She wants a bit more cryptic stuff.
All right.
This is like playing guess who.
Then go, you're Tom?
Are you thinking you want to go, do you have brown here?
Yeah.
You want to like, don't just go through every name and guess who.
Are you in Hamilton?
Okay.
Can I ask one more direct question?
Yes.
Can we narrow down the island?
Because there's a lot of guests coming through for them.
Well, just work your way through the questions and I'll answer them.
Okay, all right.
Well, let's start with, we're going to start with P.
Now, make sure your question's Megan appropriate, P.
What's your question for Megan?
Hi, Megan.
Hi.
Did you travel up north?
No.
Oh, so we're going from Auckland down, okay?
That's somewhere in New Zealand.
How did you rank that question, Megan?
Flip those answers down on the board.
Okay, all right.
Next question.
Patty, you're on the air trying to hunt down the rogue for 5K.
Hey, Patty.
Hey, Megan.
Hey, was this town the first in the southern hemisphere with public electric streetlights?
Thank you, Patty, for that niche question.
Do you even know what the first town was public?
We can have to Google that.
Oh, you do, yeah, but does me?
I don't think so.
Okay, so we're not in Reefton.
I'm not enraped in.
I like that.
Maybe Patty was trying to keep his answer hidden from the audience.
I like that, you're right.
Oh, yeah, okay.
Reifton, 1888.
Yes, I've just Googled that right now.
That's a niche, Patty.
Why were they the first?
Yeah.
I don't know.
It just says it was.
That was the last time they first did anything, poor Reifton, wasn't it?
Lovely place.
Good on your pet.
I'll be to Reifton, but I am not in Reifton currently.
Okay, all right.
We'll take one more call.
Tammy, good morning.
We're trying to track down the rogue.
Good morning.
Good morning.
My question, Megan, for you is, can you say,
Mount Hutt?
From where you are.
I don't know.
Oh, but that would lead you to...
Okay, all right.
I'm not good with geography.
Okay, all right.
I don't think so.
Well, I've seen the room...
Grace is shaking her head.
I've seen the room you're hidden in.
It's like a cupboard and you've got cables tied everywhere.
It doesn't look there's any outside light coming in, so I imagine you can't see anything.
I can't see outside right now.
But for the town or the city, mate.
Okay, you're thinking not.
No, no, I'm thinking no.
All right.
Funny side up.
Jono Ben and Megan.
The Counting Crows coming to New Zealand.
They're going to be here March next year.
The first concert already sold out, the second one in Auckland, on sale right now.
And we're joined by the frontman for the Counting Crows.
Adam Durrett, how's life?
You know what?
It's not bad.
Well, that's good.
That's all you can ask for.
Yeah, well, good news we're here.
You're not only coming to New Zealand, but the first.
show already sold out and you're doing the second one so that's great for the bottom line it is it does
help you never you never want no one turning up do you yeah yeah you already sold out it's awesome
because i know you've come to new zealand a couple of times uh i think a few years ago you came here
and you're really really sick and you had to cancel the show last minute while you're in the
country but then you came back for a redemption a couple of years ago yeah we we canceled the show
in wellington is it anything we did was it a gastro issue could we had better food prep from
end? Somehow twice we screwed up shows in Wellington. I feel like they're never going to let us back
down there. Oh, you're coming again, are you? Okay, yeah, sure, sure. Lasting memories. Have you,
is there something that you always do when you arrive here? My friend has a cattle station in the
Coromandel, and I, last time I went there, we did a bunch of promo for the first week,
and then a couple of us went up to the cow station
and it's right on a beach
and went diving for all kinds of stuff.
I provided a whole dinner of seagirchon one night.
Did you?
Yeah, that was pretty great.
They have cattle and sheep and we had some great dinners.
Oh, the Coromandel's beautiful, yeah.
So would you have plans to catch up with them when you come back?
I'm going straight there.
It's the other side of the world,
so it's not like I get to visit there all the time.
Yeah, no, it's good.
The weather's beautiful at the moment.
having very uncharacteristically, really hot days, 30 degree days at the moment, Adam, so it's primed.
Well, I'm ready.
You keep it warmed up for me.
We will.
We will.
I do want to ask you, because you had trademark dreadlocks, you're here for many years.
And I had dreadlocks as well, and I used to get out and about.
People would go, hey, counting crows.
That's what people would say to me.
You never got, hey, Ben Boyce or anything like that when you're out and about.
They said, hey, counting, crowsily enough.
Yeah, I'm just doing.
Yeah, no, it probably makes more sense to you than me, actually.
Hey, it's been boys from Polisport.
He used to have a TV show.
Yeah, no, you probably didn't get the same thing.
Did you get recognized less when you, you know, when you got rid of your dreadlocks?
Oh, yeah, for sure, much less.
There are people who still recognize me, but it happens a lot less.
It's always cool living in New York, because even when I was very recognizable, nobody cared.
It's just a nice city that way.
Yeah.
But, well, it's just like, it's an island, and there are millions of people living here.
And so you kind of have to be okay with each other or else we'd kill each other.
Yeah, you're living on top of each other there, aren't you?
It's, what's the most unusual place someone's recognized you at him?
And you're like, well, I wouldn't have picked it here.
I don't know.
What's an unusual place?
I was in bed and this woman was like, hey, you're the guy from counting crows.
Before or after?
In the middle, it was very disturbing.
True or false things from the internet.
Can I just run through a few things quickly with you?
Uh-huh.
You keep your trophies and plaques in the bathroom.
Is that true or false?
That's true.
That's true.
They were all on the floor of my house in L.A. in the basement.
Like, they were strewn around this closet on the floor in the basement.
And when I bought this place, we had to build it.
It was just one big room.
It's a big loft.
And the architect was visiting my house in L.A. to look at furniture and stuff.
And he said, I'll tell you what, I will do, I will build your place in New York,
but you have to put all these on the wall.
And I said, I will put a lot of them on the wall, but they have to all go in a bathroom.
All right, that's a weird compromise, but I'll do it.
Yeah.
Also, speaking of House, have you got a CD collection that spans, covers two walls?
Or is that true or false?
Yeah, I mean, the library is right behind me.
There are three walls in it, and one and a half are CDs and one and a half are books.
Jeez, you'd be what you'd be hoping the CD makes a comeback.
I don't think it's likely at this point, but you never know.
Okay, one more.
I go, you're in a short relationship with short time with Jennifer Anderson,
and you had no idea who she was at the start from friends.
You hadn't watched Friends at the time.
Well, you got to remember when you're in a band, you're on the road,
and primetime is when you play, so that doesn't exist for you.
Yeah, of course.
No idea who she was.
Was she the one I went, hey, you're the guy for the Counting Crows?
No, I mean, by the time we were in the relationship, I knew who she was,
I did discover it in bed.
Oh, well, it's so nice to catch up with you.
We are so stoked that you are coming back to New Zealand.
And we can't wait to see you.
Thanks so much for your time.
We've loved chatting to you.
It's a pleasure, man.
Thanks, guys.
John O'Ben and Megan on the hits.
One major event through is you sent us through some deep, deep bruising.
What is this from?
Where is it located on the body?
I sent you a picture of my bum yesterday.
Was that your bottom?
You've been quite all over the place on messages.
Can I just say that?
Oh, really?
Yeah.
Like, you're worried about me.
Well, I don't know.
I know you've got a lot going on at the moment.
So, yeah, we've had photos of bacon and egg muffins.
We've got photos of cables being taped to cheerlegs,
equipment being taped to the wall.
Now we've got a very deep, deep bruise of a bottom shop there.
Oh, and I accidentally said, have a good day, Sweet Art, yesterday on the group chat.
Yeah, that was as well, and then you never responded to it.
That was for my husband.
I've got the wrong chat.
Did Sweetheart have a good day?
Yeah, I can call you guys Sweetheart if you really want.
But, you know, it's been, well, you know, I've got a lot going on.
The fugitive on the run has got a lot on their plate.
And it's a bacon egg muffin on your plate this morning.
But whatever with the bruise?
So I, you remember the other day, another thing to add to our plate,
we dressed up for the wrong occasion to work,
and I came as a roller derby skater with skates on.
Which I thought was a little controversial,
and you stuck with them for the majority of the day to the skates.
Now, what I didn't tell you is before everyone arrived to work,
I hit the carpet and it's quite hard to skate on carpet.
My skates went out from under me and I landed on one of the wheels from the great height of
163 centimetres tall.
A big drop, big drop.
Straight on, my bum, straight to wheel on the skate and it honestly has been quite hard for me
to sit down.
Oh, they're bad.
That bruise is so sore.
So I was like, well, there's Picks or it didn't happen.
so I got Grace to take a picture of my bum
she's coming to see HR on Monday
and I sent it to the group chat
We all would have taken your word for it
Yeah no we didn't need to
Yeah because I also saw as we went to get a hot drink
After the show you also almost collided with the work
Christmas tree and went down as well on the skates
Yeah I did
Roller skates at work
Bad idea
It's been like 10 or 12 years since I was up on them
So it was a bit rusty
So you went from zero to let's stay on them for eight hours
Yeah
Do you want me to
Do you want another picture or do you want to update of the...
Oh, I'm okay.
Oh, you're all good.
Oh, I'm okay.
Denied, live on the radio.
You're putting him in quite a position here.
It's a closer.
Have a great day by sweetheart yesterday.
Kiss kiss on a text.
Oh, yeah, okay.
Okay, now you're sitting where weird pitches.
Last thing this company needs at the moment, mate.
Funny side up.
Jono Ben and Megan on the hits.
John O'Bin and Megan's The Rogue with Invisible Zincolmineral sunscreen.
We're saying a week one of us is going to go missing and one of us is going to go invisible.
One of us is the rogue.
We didn't know who it was yesterday around about 7.30.
Megan revealed herself as the rogue.
She went missing from the show.
It's up to you to find out or to exactly guess where she is in the country, the town or the city.
Just text spotted annual guess to 4487 you can guess as many times as you want.
And one of the correct guesses before 9 o'clock will score themselves $5,000
thanks to invisible zinc mineral sunscreen.
Now, Megan, where you are currently hidden away in your safe house,
do you have a steady Wi-Fi connection and access to the text machine?
I do. I have fibre.
Oh, stop bragging about your fibre.
Now, have you looked at many of the guesses coming through and are any of them correct?
I am looking at them now, and I can tell you, there are correct guesses.
Oh, so we are going to give away that five greens.
Definitely.
there are people in the draw to win that five grand.
So you landed at your desk,
you arrived at your destination yesterday
and you ended up talking to a wonderful couple,
Fiona and Gary, who couldn't be happier
to live where they're living.
I'm with Fiona and Gary.
Now, I just wanted to, without giving away where we are right now,
what do you like about this particular place we're in,
this location?
It reminds me of Old New Zealand back in the 70s.
In what way?
That the shops close on a Saturday and a Sunday.
I don't want to say I like the shops closing on Saturday or Sunday
but no, it's a lovely, lovely part of the country.
What are the people like?
Very friendly, helpful, accommodating, no complaints.
Jeez, it sounds inconvenient not being able to just shop on Saturday and Sunday.
But that's a clue.
And then we had some questions come through sort of 40 minutes ago
from a wonderful bunch of listeners, wonderful, tremendous bunch of listeners.
Have a listen.
Are you involved in Canterbury?
No.
Did you travel up north?
No.
Was this town in the southern hemisphere with public electric streetlights?
I don't think so.
Okay, so we're not in Reifton.
I'm not in Reifton, okay.
Can you see Mount Hutt?
Where you are?
I don't know.
I don't think.
So?
Now, did you get a definitive answer on that?
Can you see Mount Hart?
Can't see Mount Hart.
Okay.
There was a question too from Johan saying,
does it have French origins your location?
Look, and I want to clarify that, yes, it does.
But I don't think in the way Johan was thinking.
Okay, Akarawa is obviously the place that most people would think.
Can we rule that out?
We can rule out Akaroa, which is what I think Johan was thinking.
Okay, so we know you took a flight.
It was an hour.
We know you took a drive from that flight around about an hour.
and you've got a bit of a poem for us
that's going to come up next.
Is this going to give us some more insight?
This is going to give you,
there is a whole lot of clues,
some cryptic clues in here.
I think, if you're on the fence,
I think this is going to clinch it for you.
Oh, really?
We'll do that next.
And if you've got anything you'd like to ask, Megan?
John O'Ben and Megan's The Rogue
with Invisible Zincol Mineral sunscreen.
Megan has gone missing.
If you know where she is,
the town or the city in New Zealand text are spotted,
and then the town and the city
in the same text of 4,
4487, and one of the correct guesses before 9 o'clock will win $5,000.
Thanks to invisible zinc mineral sunscreen, creates a physical barrier to reflect the sun's UVA and UVB rays.
It's really useful stuff throughout summer, sunscreen.
One of the highlights.
Now, Megan, you have authored a poem.
We know you're a big fan of poetry, so you're going to give us many clues in this poem, you believe.
Yeah, I like to call it some sort of a riddle.
I couldn't rely on chat GPT.
I needed some actual knowledge, like local, like New Zealand knowledge for this.
Okay, so she's gone OG on this.
We will get to that very shortly.
But first, some people have questions, hard questions.
Can you handle them?
We're about to find out joining us from Wamaru is Tammy.
Morning to you, T-Dog.
Hello, how are you guys?
We're doing well, Tammy.
Good.
What you got for me, Tim Tams?
Well, if you are where I think you are, you will be in a nice sunny location at the moment.
It is.
It can confirm it's sunny, yep.
Yeah.
My question is the place, the town that you are at, is it known for very historic buildings and weird steampunkers that hang around the place?
Is it the steampunk capital of the world?
Oh, Amaru?
Is that the steampunk?
Can I have got on? No.
Oh, okay.
It is not.
Tambourine, thank you for your call.
Have a good one.
How many nicknames did we cover in that?
Appreciate it.
Julie, you're on, your question for the rogue.
Oh, Merry Christmas, everyone.
Oh, very Christmas, you too.
Okay, Megan.
Yeah, this is just a stab in the dark, so to speak.
But would it be somewhere, the destination that I think you're at,
is it somewhere where you would full of festival?
spun laughter and Christmas chair
and you would bring a deck chair or a
blanket to settle in?
Oh, I know what you're talking about. No.
Okay. Are you trying
to keep that cryptic? You don't want me to
tell me? No. Is the
name of the place?
Would it be? How can I say this?
The same as
an animal?
No. She doesn't want to give other people
the answer. Oh, I see why. Yeah. I know
what you're saying. I'm, yeah, I'm picking
up what you're putting down, but no.
Okay.
Incorrect.
Megan, you're, okay, let's go to your riddle, okay?
Okay, listen carefully.
Boom, we blasted through the hills.
The rich coastline is short a thrill.
We'll wow you with our own Lord E,
and people here are so lucky.
Here you'll need Invisible Zinc,
so where am I team?
Have a think.
Great crowbarring into the client.
Thank you.
I appreciate that.
Thank you.
That's integration at its full.
finest.
Okay, four, four, eight, seven on the text.
You've got a text spotted and the location.
Has that helped you?
I mean, anything that's made me more confused.
Yeah.
I know, the thing is, because you know exactly, you know all the details.
So for you, it seems incredibly obvious.
I can break down, just how many clues there are in that once you've figured out where I am.
Just, I'll just go through as they come through.
No, no, yes, no, yes, yes, yes, no.
Well, that's not helping us.
There's a few yesers in there.
though. I mean, that could be a clue, I guess, if you know what you text in.
Well, I'm just saying that some people were on the right track.
You don't know what order it is. Okay, Great Barrier Island.
Oh, you're asking me? No.
Okay. All right, that's just come through a couple times.
I've been to Great Barrier Island before. It's a lovely place.
Yeah, Megan and producer Grace, kind of like Thelma and Louise on the run at the moment.
And before 9 o'clock, someone is going to win $5,000, so be texting through.
Just going to take a break.
Is it hot where you are at the moment, Megan?
It is actually.
Yeah, and it's been, you know, scorching temperatures across the country recently.
It's been magnificent, hasn't I know some people break in the 30s, haven't they?
Yeah, yeah.
Really, really hot.
So I was sent to Bunnings to go and purchase a fan because, geez, you can get a bit sicky and sweaty at night, can't you?
You guys got fans in your room?
No, no.
No, I don't have fan, no.
You just, what do you do?
Just like, yeah, on top of the covers or whatever it is.
But, yeah, I don't find the room doesn't get too hot, which.
quite, I don't know, it just doesn't get a lot of sunlight
in that part of the house. So, yeah, I went
to Bunnings, came home
and I, a fan, I arrived home with the
fan, and the family were like, that
looks like too much fan. Right.
Too much fan for what we require.
I've gone big. I've gone
sort of commercial jet engine
size. Oh, geez.
And I was like, honestly, it'll be so
quiet. Like, don't
worry. And I turned the fan
on for the first time.
And it honestly felt like
the skin was going to blow off my bones
the velocity of this bad boy
have a listen
okay so here's the fan now
okay here's the fan now
turn it on
wow
cheese
I thought it was going to blow us into another suburb
it's bloody powerful
and probably the worst purchase I've ever made
because now no one wants to use it
like even during the day
oh it's too like during the day
you can't even have a conversation
I don't know, what...
Oh, really?
What was the purpose of this fan?
But it could be like white noise in your bedroom, you know?
Yeah, true, yeah.
If you worry about, like, I get worried about Siri listening to my calls.
Maybe I could have it.
Yeah, you could put it in your house.
We can have conversations.
So no one can record it.
That's bloody power.
I could change weather patterns, that thing.
So if anyone's in the market for a fan, that'll blow you into another dimension.
It'll blow the, like, the fuzz that's left on your head.
That's all gone
I'm completely pit bull now
Funny side up
Jono Ben and Megan
On the hits
The Rogue
With Invisible Zinc mineral sunscreen
Yeah we knew one of us
Was going to go missing
And be the rogue
At some stage this week
It was going to happen
And Megan yesterday about 730
She headed away from the show
We had to try and track down
The location
The town or the city in New Zealand
That she was located
And so many techs have come through
were spotted and towns and cities
to 4487 and thanks to Invisible
Zinc mineral sunscreen, one of the correct
guesses is going to score themselves $5,000.
Hundreds and thousands
of texts coming through. Is that hundreds and thousands?
Or hundreds and thousands?
Or thousands of thousands?
So many checks.
I don't think there hasn't been
one location in New Zealand
that hasn't been text through. Yeah. Yeah.
Pretty much covered the entire spectrum. Okay, so
we need to give someone $5,000, Megan.
Yes.
There's lots of correct guesses.
on the text machine too.
So we've called someone back as we said we would with what we think is the correct guess.
Emily Taylor.
Hello, hi.
How are you, mate?
I'm very good, thank you.
Talk to us, Emily, talk to Megan, talk to, just talk.
Hi, Ames.
Hi, Megan.
Hi, I'm just wondering.
Hi.
Are you in the sunny Nelson?
So what, okay, Nelson?
What would lead you to think Nelson?
Well, I would actually have to say that your sponsor Invisible Zink, because Nelson
has the most amount of sunshine at house in New Zealand.
Oh, my God.
And I used to go to school there.
Invisible ink must be frothing this.
Oh, my God, what school bates?
They're not when you keep saying ink.
Okay.
They weren't frothing up until you said invisible ink.
Sorry, sorry.
No, not you.
It's Jono.
Yeah, no.
The one that's me doing professional screwed it up, Emily.
Did you happen to see some of the close-up pictures on social media?
Yes, I did.
And it was also the...
the Ernest Rutherford statue, I'm pretty sure, was up there too.
Okay, well, so we need to confirm that this is the town or city that you're in.
Okay, we've got a theory.
I'm hoping.
Okay, so we're going to call, we think you might be at your parents' house in Nelson.
Yeah, we're going to call Ray Ray, your mum, live, which is a bloody gamble in itself.
Calling.
And we'll just see if the phone rings in the background if she's in Nelson for you in.
Landline?
I've gone landline, yeah.
Oh no
No, not that one there
We'll just dial again here
And we could be giving away that $5,000
Thanks, invisible zinc, mineral sunscreen
Summers here
Say Sunsmart, make Invisible Zinc, your go-to sunscreen
Is the phone ringing?
Ray speaking
Oh, Ray!
Good morning
Have you got some guests there this morning, Ray?
Guests
Yes
Can I confirm or deny?
You can confirm or deny
Oh, I have to...
Come, hang up the phone!
Oh, Emily, you've won five grand!
$5,000, Emily.
I am in Nelson.
Oh, wow.
It's my favorite place.
Emily, what are you going to do with that money?
That's a lot of money just before Christmas.
Oh, my God.
They were making amazing Christmas.
I haven't even done my Christmas shopping yet, so.
Geez, haven't you?
Okay.
You're right.
Five grand, Emily.
That is a game changer.
It is amazing. Thank you so much. It's definitely a game changer.
Well, we. So you've been in...
I've got to go to the Sunny Nelson, too.
Yeah, you can take a trip to Sunny Nelson. Well done.
There's so many correct guesses, but you're the one that we called back, so well done.
Thank you so much. Thanks again.
And in a bit of a week.
You're very welcome. You have yourself a great holiday, great Christmas.
Ray, Ray, how's it been with me in there this morning?
How's it been with me here this morning, mum?
Stressful.
Oh, don't lie.
I'm ready to come home
You've only been here for a couple of hours
It's been full on
We've been getting all the mechanical stuff going
So we've got that tape to the table leg
And oh it's all going
All the electrical equipment
All the broadcast equipment
Yeah we had a little bit of a failure
Yeah well why's Ray Ray across the tech
She's not
She's absolutely not
The tech help
She's highly stressed about it Megan
I was like, what's your Wi-Fi password?
God, you should have seen the password booklet.
Yeah, had to get out in the notebook.
Have you got them all conveniently placed in a tidy book, have you, Ray, right?
It's not tidy.
It looks like deciphering a code from the war.
Oh, Megan, you are in Nelson.
Can we break down some of the clues for everyone next?
Yes, let's do that.
What led you to Nelson?
We'll do that next.
Good on you, Emily.
Well done, I'm winning the cash, yeah.
Nelson, you're at your parents' house to be, if you want to be really specific,
but Nelson was the town of the city we needed a dog.
Beautiful sunny Nelson.
I flew from Auckland to Blenham and drove across to Nelson.
Oh, that's why you said you'd never taken the flight from Auckland to Ardalen.
No, I've literally never flown Auckland to Blenham.
I've never been in the Blenham Airport.
The thing is, though, you probably need to do it again, because we saw a photo of you,
just head back, mouth open, fast asleep.
On the plane.
Probably saw none of the flight.
That's on the Hitsbreak for social media.
Geez, you're really, you're really deep sleep.
I'm a mouth open sleep.
But I'm tired.
No, it's because as soon as you, like, as soon as you fall asleep with your head up, your
door's just like, blah.
I've got nowhere to go.
All sorts of cutlery and, you know, you got to fit the bloody Keota magazine in that thing.
Rolled up Keanu magazine.
Shut up.
I've seen you sleep.
You look dead.
Yeah, I do.
I do.
I look deceased when I sleep.
You're right.
Okay, so let's break down some of the clues that you have given over the last couple of days.
Okay, so the first poem was going rogue up in the sky.
obvious we flew more modes to come than just to fly as in we drove to nelson we celebrate in
birthday gear your birthday suit if you were onto it my parents um an nudist grew up in a nudist family
are they currently nude or they no they've got clothes on grace is here um but we do it more than once
a year as and you know all the time one knows how far i'll go but it's somewhere where they
like a show uh world of wearable arts the show started in nelson i feel like an episode i feel like
an episode of Scooby-Doo, we're like,
Oh!
Then the second one that we did this morning,
boom, we blasted through the hills.
Boomtown is the nickname for Blenham.
If anyone was aware of that,
they call it Boom Town.
We blasted through the hills.
We drove through the fungal moors
to get to Nelson.
The rich coastline, the golden coastline
of Golden Bay in the Nelson area.
Oh, rich gold.
Rich coastline is short of thrill.
We'll wow you.
There's another world of wearable art.
reference we'll wow you with our own lordy
Lorde Ernest
Ernest
Yeah brotherford
We have a photo with
You're right you got a photo
That was one of the clues
You saw an arm
In one of the hits breakfast photos
Yeah
People here are so lucky
Someone from Nelson won lotto
On Wednesday night
I'm reaching
And here you'll need
Invisible zinc
So where am I
As in it's Sunny Nelson
Well that was really
And you didn't do that with AI
That was all
Do you think
Chachybt could do that show?
No
That was good.
That was really clever.
So that's...
Thank you.
Yeah.
And the photos, the close-up photos,
Grace is posting the extended versions of those.
If you'd like to see where I was.
To go to Beach.
Well, played, Megan.
You played a really good game again.
You were the rogue,
which we didn't really suspect you being the rogue for the second time.
If we do this again, it's definitely...
Surely it can't be, Megan.
Is that what they want us to think?
Yeah.
Slowly travels around the country.
Hey, well, Megan, safe travels back.
from your homeland.
Pass on our love to Ray, Ray and Wino.
And we'll tie a ribbon around another successful campaign.
And congratulations to Emily.
Yeah, well done to Emily.
$1,000 and thank you so much to Invisible Sink.
Mineral sunscreen, there you go.
Summer CSA, Sunsmart and make it your sunscreen this summer.
John O'Ben and Megan on the hits.
