Starting point is 00:00:00 Over the weekend, and I never want to be this neighbour. You know, when there's noise going on, you don't want to be the complaining neighbour. Right. Because people make noise, people have fun time. But there was, like I've told you, my neighbours, they love karaoke. On a Tuesday. Yeah, odd times for karaoke. But this one was weekend karaoke.
Starting point is 00:00:17 So probably more ripe karaoke conditions. And they carry-o-o-o-he, they karaoke hard. And it got to, like, they started at 1 a.m. They kicked karaoke off at one of year. That's kind of, you know, karaoke time. Yeah, I guess you probably drinks, you've been, yeah. Yeah. And I was like, that's fine, one o'clock and kind of just dozed off again.
Starting point is 00:00:40 And then it got louder and 3.30. It's still gone. 3.30, they're still karaoke. Now, I've got my wife, Jennifer, she's next to me. I'm like, I'll tell you what, I'm going to go give them a piece of my mind. And she's like, you don't really thrive in face-to-face confrontation. Yeah, you're face-to-face. I've never seen you give anyone a piece of your mind.
Starting point is 00:00:58 I couldn't. I couldn't. And I was like, well, you give me, I'll give them 10 more minutes, and I'll give them a piece of my mind. 10 more minutes. And then I'm just sitting there praying that they stop in 10 minutes time. And as it turns up, she wakes me up. She's like, it's 45 minutes later.
Starting point is 00:01:13 They're still karaoke. This is like quarter past 4. We know you can sleep through anything. Megan was screaming when we went away. Yeah. It wasn't affecting me. So I was like, oh, well, I'm going to go down there and give me a piece of my mind. She's like, you're not.
Starting point is 00:01:25 But anyway, so I walked out of the house. and boy I stood at the fence and I gave them a piece of my mind did they hear it? Oh did you just yell out stuff did you? No he's like Can you please stop? That might have been the level
Starting point is 00:01:36 That might have been closer Just so I could You know with good conscience Go back to the bedroom I gave them a piece of my mind Neve-in-saw And do you're always control right No I'd never want to do that
Starting point is 00:01:49 And do you know what happened By some sort of grace of credibility The gods were looking down on me I got back to the bedroom the music turned up. Oh, stops. That's a win. She's like, did you give them a piece of your mind?
Starting point is 00:02:01 I was like, did I want? She would have thought you were. I felt pretty cool. I felt pretty powerful. I'm not going to lie. Big player in the neighbourhood. You want something shut down. I'll go and give them a piece of my mind.
Starting point is 00:02:14 Maybe they just saw you standing at the fence muttering and your tidy whitties and they're like, who's that? Yeah, that's really brought the karaoke vibes down. My mate said he was flating once. He had really noisy flat mates. And so he rang noise control after a while. From in the flat.
Starting point is 00:02:26 Oh, I've done that too. Oh, he dogged on his own flatmates. Yeah, and the guy was like, oh, it's anonymous. He's like, great. And then they told the flatmates. No. You can never divulge, too. Because you do have to tell them what number you live at.
Starting point is 00:02:39 They come into his room. They're like, did you just call it? No. They're like, well, they said it was your name. It's like, oh. Oh. What monsters? Brothless.
Starting point is 00:02:50 That is a dog act. I know. It's like, oh, sorry, yeah, it was me. Maybe the noise patrol person was like, I know, exactly. who's done this. Have you done that before? Yeah, I've lived in a, like, the downstairs was my flat, and upstairs was the lounge, and man, they loved to party. When I was doing early hours and radio, so I was like one day, noise controlling your own flat, mate, is this a whole other level. That's the next level, right?
