I was making my son's lunch yesterday.
Because I do it the night before.
But often he pipes up and he wants to get involved.
It's just easier if he's not there and he just gets what he gets.
And you don't get upset.
That's true.
That's a good.
No, I know.
I see why he wants to get involved.
Hang on a second.
What am I having tomorrow?
I've got to put that in my mouth.
He gives me days of the week for different flavors of things.
He's like, I want this one on Monday, this one on Tuesday.
I'm like, oh, God.
Okay, I was like, you just need to leave
But I was making him a sandwich
First of all, you want to peanut butter and cream cheese
And I was like, you can't have peanut butter
Because you're going to school
Oh, yeah
Can't, yeah, yeah, allergies
I don't know about that combination
Has he had that combination before?
No, I said to him if he had it
And he was like, no
And I was like, what if you don't like it?
He's like, oh well, oh, you just can't
Yeah, I mean, basically you just can't pick two things
and put them in a sandwich
And you think they're going to work
Yeah, and then secondly, once I'd made the sandwich
Here we go
He was like
Cut the crust off
Oh yeah
And I was like
No since we
I was like you always eat
All the bread
And he was like
Yeah but
Jono cut them off
When you made his lunch
Oh we were looking after
Yeah
Remember when you did that
And I was like
Oh god
So I think I asked
It's like
Oh do you want crass on or off
And he was like oh
And I was like sweet
So it must be the done thing
Yeah
It's what you do
When you love your children
Yeah
No
You don't make it a thing
and then they just eat them.
They believe that the bread is to be eaten all the way through.
And so now he's like, but Jono cut my cross off.
And I was like, well, there's lots of things that Jono does that you should never do.
Yeah, like, Jono, you let you have the knife as well afterwards.
He was wielding a knife.
He waited until you put it up your nose before he told him to put it down.
Yeah, you shove the knife up his nose.
So I had a big argument with him and I was like, you're not having the crust cut off.
That's part of the bread.
We helped look after your kids because Andrew was away,
your husband for a long period of time.
And we did the radio show that's saying,
there was a lot going on.
It was.
Ben was like,
do you want to cross off?
We were just in the moment, mate.
In the moment.
We also gave in the microwave Frankfurters for breakfast.
Well, look, to be honest,
and we talked about this in the day,
we thought it was going to be a bit of smoke and mirrors.
Like, we were going to be there doing this thing
and Megan was going to be sort of standing next to us going,
don't do that, don't do that.
But no, you just had the morning off.
Yeah, it was great.
As promised, you had the morning off.
Stayed in your bedroom.
So this is what you get, mate.
You get crusts off, knives up noses, and seeping Frankfurters from the microwave.
So if he brings the crust back today, I'm bringing them in for you to eat.
Why he bought it back now, though?
This was like two months ago.
I know.
I don't know.
He was there when I made his sandwiches, so maybe he triggered a memory.
Sorry.
I made a rod for you back.
To be fair, though, he hasn't run around and put knives up his nose in.
So that's good.
Just pick it in Tuesday.
