Starting point is 00:00:00 The Jono Ben and Megan podcast thanks to Dilma. Goodness really does taste great. Dilma, making the world a better team. Live from New York City, it's our entertainment correspondent, Nicole Ryan. It's been in age. It really has. It really has. I miss you guys.
Starting point is 00:00:18 I really do. Nice to see it. Oh, it's nice to see you. To be honest, do you really miss this? You do this for free out of the generosity, the kindness of your heart. And then I imagine it would be a giant. ball ache each week going, I've got to sit down with these people on the other side of the world.
Starting point is 00:00:33 No, because I usually talk to you guys right after I'm done with one of my podcasts. So it's like, oh, I'm right here anyways. And I might as well just hang with some old pals. Oh, good on you. Oh, I love it. Vegas again, second year, checking out the NRL or do Vegas chew you up, spit you out, that sort of thing? Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:00:50 I had to make an early, I changed my flight last minute on Saturday because I was like, I got to get out of this town. I'm not joking. It literally, it's like insane. And I talked to a bunch of the rugby players, and they all were like, yeah, this is intense. Like, never been here before. This is craziness. It really is.
Starting point is 00:01:08 Yeah, hard to concentrate on your job, I imagine, when you're in Las Vegas. And, hey, in a small, what a tiny, tiny world we live in. You met in person, our old producer Taylor Montoya and her husband, Marcello. You had them on your show. I mean, it was so fun. It was like she ran and grabbed me and gave me a big hug. It was like, I don't know. It was like, we knew each other, but we never actually met in person.
Starting point is 00:01:30 So it was really fun. I actually invited her to go to the Thunder from Down Under with me, and she wasn't able to come. But she was very fat about it because she really wants to do friends. Yeah, I bet. Well, I mean, she's traveling with a whole team of Thunder Down Under, isn't she? Yeah, the Bulldogs, yeah. Yeah, and so that was fun.
Starting point is 00:01:47 They won. And, yeah, it was really nice to have them. What was it like? Because, you know, it looked amazing at the stadium. You know, was it incredible to be there? It was. And you know what's so funny. Like, they put us to enter.
Starting point is 00:02:00 is so amazing. They've been so good to us. And I mean, obviously, we're giving them a lot of love in the U.S. and trying to spread the word and bring it there. But they put us in this ridiculous suite for the second year in row on the field. And I want to say, what do you guys call halftime? It's not half time. It's not a half time.
Starting point is 00:02:15 Half time. No, somebody yelled at me. I had an Australian man to say, no, that's not. I can't remember. I'll think of it. Oh, really? Anyways, whatever it was. I've been calling a half time my whole life. Makes me feel better. Thank you. Okay. So during that time, all of a sudden, we turn around and the DJ, Cyril, is behind us. I can touch him. I can literally touch it, like on the
Starting point is 00:02:36 big screen, like on the Jumbotron, and we were going nuts. It was so streaking fun. We know Cyril too. Ozzy DJ? You don't get a bigger Aussie Bogan than Cyril. Wonderful guy. Yeah, and he had a lot of really, really, all these random, beautiful girls. And I was like, where did they come from? And they said they just found really pretty girls in the, in the crowd and brought them down to dance with Cyril. I bet his wife loves hearing that. He was like, they were just there for work. But Nicole, crazy times over in New York.
Starting point is 00:03:06 You guys had a bit of an emergency. Were you in lockdown for like two or three days? Yeah, not lockdown. I mean, when you say lockdown, that gives me PTSD back to the pandemic. Let's not do that. It was pretty bad. I mean, if we don't go to work, that's bad.
Starting point is 00:03:20 Because we always have to go to work, right? I feel like we're sort of considered, like, I mean, quote, air quoting the news. But yeah, it was so bad that they said we weren't allowed to go. Like, no one was allowed on the streets. until like noon that next day when the snow started. We got dumped on. I mean, it was fun.
Starting point is 00:03:35 I liked being snowed in. I always like being snowed in. But he wasn't really that scary. I mean, everybody tries to like, you know, catastrophize it. It was a lot of snow and it was a lot of fun. And they got rid of the snow and people were back on the streets eventually. But yeah, it was nice.
Starting point is 00:03:48 Well, if you get catastrophized it just a little bit, give us a bit of drama. You were on. Like your shoes, your socks get wet if you went outside. It's always uncomfortable. I mean, we did after the thing. We went sledding, we built snowmen, we did all that stuff. Have you guys ever even seen snow?
Starting point is 00:04:04 Yeah, yeah, but it doesn't happen, not here really. I mean, unless you go travel to the mountains here in New Zealand. Yeah, it's not. I've been in Central Park in the snow. I've been to New York in the snow. It's beautiful. Oh, I forgot, yeah. Yeah, it really is.
Starting point is 00:04:17 It was fun. You do have piles of, like, dirty snow on the street? Well, the one thing that really, this time around, I don't know what people, what was wrong with them, but they just decided because there was so much snow, no one needed to clean up after their dog. So as the snow started to melt, we had lots of little buried treasure that was left. This is what you don't see in the movies. You always see the fun frolicing, but not the leftover feces.
Starting point is 00:04:41 Jono Ben and Megan, the podcast. Brittany Spears has been arrested. It seems like it's DUI in California, DUI. And she has deactivated her Instagram account. There were reports that she got taken to hospital after the arrest. I saw one of the videos on her Instagram recently. Oh yeah, but she's like dancing to camera and things. And she had the heart emojis on her boobs because they kept, she was wearing lingerie.
Starting point is 00:05:09 I know, and she's kind of got the vacant look in her eyes of a heavily medicated person, doesn't she? I feel very sorry for her. Because I was in deep in the campaign to Free Brittany and now I'm like, did we do the wrong thing? Lock her back up, ma'am. Do we? No, I just think she, she. She needs assistance. Oh, 100%.
Starting point is 00:05:29 Yeah, well, we hope she's going to be all right. And speaking of all things, entertainment. Live from New York City, it's our entertainment correspondent, Nicole Ryan. The internet going feral over Jim Carrey on a red carpet. He had a different face, so there was speculation. Was it even Jim Carrey? Was it a clone? Was it a double?
Starting point is 00:05:52 Yeah, I mean, the face you can probably explain away with plastic surgery, but that was the voice for me. It seemed just like a completely different personality. You know, I wrote it, and I researched it, and I practiced it like crazy. But, you know, it's a... Oh, I loved it. It's so beautiful.
Starting point is 00:06:10 And having Michelle, you know... Get him to do all righty then and see if it's the same. Producer Gracie just put a poll up on socials. If you think it is Jim Carrey or not, you can hear to The Hit's Breakfast on Instagram. But Nicole Ryan, our entertainment reporter, What is the deal? The man had surgery.
Starting point is 00:06:27 He had plastic surgery. That's all. He's in Hollywood. I love how everyone's trying to make it that he's like a clone. Everyone loves to like create like this. He does. He looks freaking crazy. I mean, he doesn't look like him at all.
Starting point is 00:06:39 But he looks like he's been pulled and tightened. And, you know, some skin's been removed. And I know that after like Andy Kaufman, like he never really like came. Like he was always a little weird after that. He's the kind of person who immerses himself in roles to the point where like he becomes them, you know, And I think a lot of that, you do that enough, you start to, like, lose a sense of reality. And a lot of people in Hollywood said that he sort of was weird after that. So I think he's, you know, he's been quiet.
Starting point is 00:07:05 He's been out of the limelight for a while. And I think he had a lot of surgery, came back and was just acting a little funky. It's just weird because, like, when you, he had already aged and we knew what he looked like. And he looked fine. And then to have that amount of surgery and expect it to go unnoticed. And, like, he looked fine. I don't, it's so strange. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:26 I mean, this is, this is, this was like a drastic surgery, but like a lot of them have it. Yeah. And I mean, I mean, obviously he never left the limelight, but Bradley Cooper clearly had his eyes done or something done. And he was as point blank and he's like, oh, no. Like you did. You look different. You look crazy. Just admit it.
Starting point is 00:07:44 Stop trying to make, like, that's what like kills everybody. Everybody thinks these people just are aging like this. They have a lot of money and really good doctors. They're just gaslighting us. No, what? I have not had anything done. I tried to get my bloody Kylie Jenner lips happening. You know, we're all sticking our lips into the bottles.
Starting point is 00:08:02 Remember people? That's right. That was, yeah. It wasn't there somebody who, like, it didn't get stuck like that, but something bad happened. Oh, really bad. It lasted for a couple of days or something. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:11 Yeah. But his voice is completely different as well. He seems kind of his demeanist seems slightly different. Yeah. I also could see him being like, let me F with all these people. Like, I haven't been around in a while. He really knows how to morph himself. He's a physical comedian.
Starting point is 00:08:28 He really knows how he can do voices and stuff. So I could see him being like, let me just play around because he doesn't care. You know, that's also a possibility. So he wasn't filming The Mask, a new version of the Mask. A lot of people say maybe. I saw that on social media. I was like, maybe that's the mask. Maybe that's what.
Starting point is 00:08:43 Yeah.
