The Hits, with the Jono and Ben podcast. Thanks to Challenge, putting the service back into service stations.
Maddy, Maddy, come over here for a chat if you've got time.
Maddy's come from Mount Maunganui and left last night, volunteering her time.
Come over for a chat, Maddy. She's given us a card from her brother.
Oh, that's awesome.
Now, how old are you, Maddy?
I'm nine, turning ten on the 23rd of November,
and my brother is one year, seven months, two weeks, two days,
14 minutes, and 29 seconds older than me.
Oh, not really.
There we go.
There's some hard-hitting stats there.
Well, there we go.
You really got into that.
You've sent us a lovely card from your brother,
and it's awesome that you've come all this way to help us bake,
so thank you very much.
It says, Dear John and Ben, you're officially baking with my sister.
106 cakes.
Well done.
Thank you.
Good luck.
Very excited.
You've been excited for a week for this?
Yep.
And it says here, from Nathan.
And he's gone from 27A, and he's given us an exact address.
Well, let's not read all that out.
Postcode and everything.
So thank you.
Please don't read that.
You guys are a details family, aren't you?
You're always like, I love it.
Lovely to meet you, Matty.
Thank you very much.
We really do appreciate all the helpers,
people that come down to help us out.
And I met another person yesterday, Ben,
who you introduced me to.
I think she might even work here.
Having a wonderful conversation with him.
And she was very honest. Very honest said you know what you and i was like here we go are slightly less
annoying than you used to be and i was thinking that is probably the sweetest thing anyone's ever
yeah said to me it's up there with my marriage vows yeah slightly less annoying than well
sometimes which means i'm still a certain level of annoying.
But yeah, slightly less than you used to be.
Yeah.
I think we just give off that perception.
Like to some people, they just look at us and they're like,
ugh, those guys, they just look like annoying.
Because we're always like looking chipper and always, you know.
They look annoying.
Just go away.
You know, I can see how, I'd be wound up with us.
Yeah, I would. Radio, TV. If you weren't part of this whole set up. Those guys, I can see how I'd be wound up with us. Yeah, I would.
Radio, TV.
If you weren't part of this whole set up.
I'd be like, those guys, give it a rest, you know?
Yeah.
Particularly during the days, you know, with a lot of, oh, the prank.
A lot of pranking days.
The prank eras.
You know, Taylor Swift's doing her eras show.
The John Benn era show.
The prank eras.
I'd be like, oh, guys, give it a rest.
I mean, you've got families now.
Yeah.
No, you're right.
And we're not like that all the time.
That's the thing. But so I guess when people meet you, you've got families now. Yeah. And we're not like that all the time. That's the thing.
So I guess when people meet you,
they see a different part of you that's not always displayed.
Yeah, and I guess too,
the longer you're around,
it's just the bell curve
of a broadcasting career, isn't it?
The longer you're around,
I don't think I've probably got
any less annoying.
No.
Just people tolerate you
a little bit more.
Yeah.
You're like, oh oh i guess we'll
put up with him i think it's the thing you kind of you can mock you can mock it's like you can
mock your own mum but if someone else mocks your mum you're like oh you know you get offended you
kind of is it did it make a point i was trying to make a point here but i don't know if i did
no you just you just announced you mocked your mum uh so there you go jenny jenny's making her
way here you're driving in the car, Jenny. You can turn
around. It's not too late.
She's one of the many great helpers helping us
out with the very annoying
Jono and Ben. Slightly less annoying than we
used to be.
It's a bunch of tired,
stressed out amateur bakers
right there. We're working them hard, aren't we?
Like I said, Ben Bush, you run one hell of a Chinese factory sweatshop, my friend.
Hayley, we're going to start with you in Wellington from the hits in Wellington.
Morena, Hayley, how are you, mate?
Morena.
First thing I'm hearing about these prizes, been holding out on Connor and I.
Mate, do you want some hell pizza?
We are in deficit of Hell Pizza,
minus 22 pizzas,
but we'll send one out to you.
We'll send you out a cake.
How's that sound?
Yeah, I was going to say,
we'll take a cake.
But we've got a couple different events
happening in the North Island.
We've got fireworks on the Wellington waterfront
for the FIFA quarterfinal tonight.
Jesus, FIFA have come into town
and just bloody vomited money everywhere.
Fireworks display now.
I know, we don't even have one for Guy Fawkes.
This is our only Guy Fawkes display
and all it took was like a FIFA World Cup.
Oh, it's awesome.
As you say, it's the quarterfinal today
in the afternoon in Wellington, which is incredible.
Yes, yeah, one o'clock kick-off.
And then also in Dannyburg, in the Dannyburg Town Hall,
we've got the Amateur Theatre Society putting on Calendar Girls.
Calendar Girls?
Ben, you go to Calendar Girls a lot.
Oh, hey, stop it.
I'm interested in calendars.
That's all I like doing. Diaries, calendars, that's my's interesting, calendars. That's all I like doing.
Diaries, calendars, that's my thing.
You know that.
That's where he gets his annual.
Yeah, calendar girls is when a bunch of older ladies,
you know, put on a calendar to fundraise for a local thing.
But it must be awkward in a small town playing that
when you know everyone in the audience.
Yeah, look at that.
Danny Virk, Town Hall, The Calendar Girls show, wonderful.
What else is happening, Hayley?
Wow, if the North or the South Island isn't happening for you,
Stewart Island today has a plant swap at the Stewart Island Community Hall,
and that is the only thing happening in Stewart Island until October.
The plant swap.
What are the plants?
Have we zeroed in on what plants
are actually swapping with each other?
There'll be something boring like natives
knowing Stewart Island.
Hey, well, good on you for doing Stewart Island
because we say that's the island
that's neglected sometimes in this best island.
Often forgotten about.
Now we've heard about that plant swap,
we know why.
Yeah, exactly.
I see why it took me about 15 minutes
to find that
Hayley we appreciate
your work this morning
over to
Connor now
he's in the south
morning Connor
why is the south
having the best weekend
morning guys
sorry I'm just
waking up after that
boring list of events
there from Hayley
ooh
coming in with shade
yeah well look
I was up early this morning,
went for a run around Hagley Park, A, because I'm an athlete,
and B, because there's apparently this dinosaur festival
starting in Hagley Park this weekend.
Look, I'll be honest, I couldn't find it.
It was dark, it was cold, negative two this morning.
So I'm sure it'll be fantastic.
Get along with the whanau there.
Cuteness overload on the big screen in Nelson.
New Zealand's top dog film festival makes its way to Nelson tonight.
So apparently it's featuring dogs from all walks of life.
Heartwarming film.
And I feel like I need to bring up your dog here, Jono,
that featured in your cake-making video on the Hits Breakfast on Facebook and Instagram.
Your dog was doing some cute stuff in the background of that video there, Jono.
Yeah, no, he's quite thrusty at
times, and he sort of
puts his toy in between his two paws
and nature takes course.
And I caught him on camera, and he saw me
filming him, and he was like, oh no.
The look of guilt on his face.
I've got the same video of Jono doing the same thing
to a soft toy at my house.
Same look
of guilt. Must be of guild, yeah.
Must be getting lonely at the cake-a-thon there.
Look, the coveted
Marlborough Quilters Club, it's on the
second Saturday of every month, and guess what,
guys? What's that?
It's tomorrow. I'll send
you some sort of cake quilt from Marlborough.
I'm sure you're stoked about that. Far better than
any event, or I should say at least the
plant swap in Stewart Island at least.
Thank you, Connor.
Hayley, that's what's happening in the north and the south.
Quickly, Jono, who's taking it out this week?
Listen, I'm going to go Connor just because he came on here
and bragged that he went for a run this morning.
Humble brag.
We all know he's a fit guy now.
Unbelievable.
You guys have a great weekend.
We really appreciate it.
The Hits, the Jono and Ben podcast.
Good weekend of sport again.
The FIFA World Cup quarterfinals happening in New Zealand,
as well as the Warriors sold out stadium Saturday night.
Great season for the Warriors.
And we've got the Warriors captain here with us, Tohu Harris.
Good morning.
Good morning.
Hey, nice to talk to you.
How are you going? I mean, what a season for the Warriors. Yeah, good morning. Good morning. Hey, nice to talk to you. How are you going?
I mean, what a season for the Warriors.
Yeah, I know.
It's been pretty cool to be a part of.
How are you dealing with the suspension on the bandwagon there?
Have you had to reinforce suspension?
No, we're happy that we've had so much support this year.
It's been outstanding.
Oh, it's pretty awesome because I remember we spoke to you a while ago
where things were COVID times and you were stuck in Australia
without the family and pretty tough times for the Warriors
to sort of get through and play away from their family.
I mean, it must be amazing to be back home with the family
and playing in front of just huge crowds.
Yeah, honestly, it's such a big difference.
Everyone's enjoying it.
It's been unreal.
And even I feel like some of our away games feel like home games.
It's been crazy hearing Warriors chants over in Sydney and the Gold Coast.
So it's been unreal.
Oh, it is.
There's such a great atmosphere and vibe around the team at the moment.
Does it change the way that you approach each game,
or does it help you when you're out there in the middle of a game?
No, it doesn't change the way we sort of approach games,
but when Webby speaks about it, he just says,
just feel proud about it.
We've put in the work and we've earned that support,
so something that we're still getting used to
especially in away games, hearing
so much support, but no, it gives us
a massive boost. The phrase
up the wars is something that everyone's
saying a lot these days. How's the team feel
about it? It just feels like it's come out of nowhere, but everyone's
loving it. Yeah, I know, but
everyone's embraced it. You hear
the boys say it throughout the week
and I like it a lot better than the last one, I think.
What, Let's Go Warriors?
Yeah.
That stuck around for a few years, didn't it, Let's Go Warriors?
Now, a question, Tohu, because I have been to the Warriors with Ben.
Can you hear when he's yelling out advice from the grandstands?
He's offering you some playing advice.
I'm just wondering if that's getting through to you.
Not quite, but I'll be happy to hear it.
To be fair, like it's normally, you know me,
I fanboy over Tahu.
You know, I went out there to a media session
and the only thing I did was get a selfie with him.
We're like, did you get the interview?
He's like, no, I got a great selfie though.
Now Tahu, Taylor, you'll know Montoya, who works on the show.
Now, she claims that she fell gravely ill.
And she's blaming the Tahu Harris variant.
Now, we've brought Taylor into the studio.
We understand that you would like to clear the air on this one as well, Tahu.
Well, I've got a source very close to the situation,
and I can't name names, but he's my good mate.
And he knows Tay very well.
And he told me that we both got sick at the same time.
I'm not an expert, but that should mean that she didn't catch it from me,
if that makes sense.
Well, I was talking a bit of smack around the office
because I took down a whole department pretty much.
And if I said I started it, I would have gotten in so much trouble
because I name-dropped Tohu.
Who's going to go hard at him? No one.
Everyone's like, oh, I've got a celebrity experience.
You can play like the Warriors.
Can I ask you, this is probably a very basic question.
When you get tackled, are you like, ouch?
Or does that sort of pain come in after the game?
Because I imagine you guys are taking some huge hits.
Yeah, sometimes it happens, Julian,
but most of the time after, adrenaline saves us there.
But yeah, no, it's usually after that,
sort of hobbling around the place for a few days.
I was going to say, the next morning must be an absolute nightmare.
Next morning's not too bad.
It's two days after.
Oh.
That's when it really hits you.
And that's when you're like, well, we're back at training.
Let's get back in for another week.
Usually the first day of training and it's a struggle.
Well, it is.
Wakaato Stadium this weekend.
It's a sellout from what we understand as well.
And it's not even a Warriors, technically a home game,
which is awesome.
The West Tigers have brought it over here to say thanks to the Warriors
for everything they did through COVID.
So it must be pretty special to go even out of Mount Smart
and just to see a huge crowd.
Yeah, no, it is.
Like having the opportunity to, even though it's not our home game,
but to play games around New Zealand.
And like we did in Wellington and Napier and now Hamilton,
even though the Tigers very kindly took their home game
to come over to New Zealand.
So it's unreal to be able to spread the game across New Zealand,
especially after three years of not having anything.
And it shows from the excitement of everyone
just how early games are selling out
and to be able to take it to a new region.
Those guys are going to love it.
Yeah.
Take it to every region,
probably apart from the Hawke's Bay again.
Oh, yeah, that didn't go so well last time,
did it, unfortunately?
You're from there too. Oh, yeah, they didn't go so well last time, did they, unfortunately? You're from there, too.
Yeah, yeah.
But I don't think teams will be dumping out the chance
to go down there again after the crowd.
A lot of pitch invasions.
Yeah, it wasn't.
Tom was like, you're like, guys, this is my backyard.
What are you doing?
Put my reputation on the line.
I told the team this was a great place to come and play.
Don't worry, I heard about it from the line. I told the team this was a great place to come and play. Don't worry, I heard about it from the players.
We are so
proud of you and the whole squad this
year. It's incredible. I don't know
if we're allowed to say it's our year. We've been saying that
for a while there, so I'm not going to say it's our year, but
congratulations on
everything. I hope it continues to roll
on into the finals and can't wait
to the game on Saturday.
Cool, thanks for having me.
The Hits, the Jono and Ben podcast.
Stuff that you can get done cheaper overseas.
I had a friend slash builder, and it was a watery story.
Ben was trying to pick holes in it.
Well, everyone was.
They were like, what was he, your friend?
You're like, it's at my house.
And then your wife said it wasn't at your house.
And you're like, it was a friend.
A guy I knew who fell over, smashed his teeth,
got the work done for a tenth of the cost in Russia.
For some reason, he didn't get ACC.
He wasn't from here.
Even though he was working here, it should have been covered.
Well, then, Jen, we talked about it later on.
She's like, uh-oh, he might have been an illegal worker.
Right.
So then she's like, it sounds like we had illegal immigrants
working on our house.
Oh, it definitely does.
And I have no shame in that. They're cheaper, they work harder, and they're scarce, too. like we had illegal immigrants working on our house oh it definitely does and uh and i have
no shame in that they're cheaper they work harder and they're scared too you can hang it over them
it's like buddy you could be out of here at any stage i just have to say the word but i uttered
the hits uh we've got someone called right now i think we've got margo on the phone who's uh
who's had free dental work done overseas or someone she knows good morning margo
good morning how are you yeah, we're doing well.
You're doing well.
You've had overseas operations?
We have a little while ago now.
Well, it's actually my husband.
He has some dental implants and posts and new teeth.
Oh, he's got some brand new chompers.
Whereabouts?
Over in Thailand.
Oh, and how are they?
How's his smile?
They're incredible and he can eat meat again. Oh, really how are they? How's his smile? They're incredible, and he can eat meat again.
Oh, really?
Well, could he not eat meat?
No, because it was his molar teeth.
Oh.
He was trying to chew all his bits with his front teeth like a little rabbit
and couldn't eat steak, so he was a pretty sad man for a while there.
Now, I'm gathering the cost was appealing.
So how much cheaper was it?
We found, we did get a good deal on the resort we stayed in,
like pretty fabulous deal,
but we found flights, accommodation and dental
and we still got change.
What?
And they were incredible.
The people that did it, they waited for us.
They did it at, I think it was about sort of 9 or 10 o'clock at night.
They waited for us to arrive.
Worked for hours, had their little mini ratchet strap tightening up the posts and stuff.
And they were just incredible.
And we, yeah, it's cheaper with a holiday included.
The cost of getting the same work done back home,
and it was cheaper for a two-week holiday and the operation.
Yeah.
And the flights.
Yes.
Do your research.
Get the right people obviously but um
yeah these guys flawless got a nice tropical holiday so certainly can't complain that is
incredible isn't it and so well you're a little suspicious you're like why is the surgery taking
place at 10 o'clock at night it was taking place because we got off the plane, we fell asleep, and we missed our actual appointment. And they waited for us.
Oh, really?
And waited for hours for us.
And we rang them and said, we're so sorry.
And they said, no, that's all right.
We're just waiting.
All right.
They'll be here soon.
I don't think you'd get that in New Zealand.
No.
Well, that's a really good advertisement for it.
And did you meet other people over there who were doing similar?
My husband's brother has had similar.
That's why we got on to them.
Well, apparently the plastic surgery is the way to go as well over there.
Oh, well, I might look into that myself.
I'm not suggesting that you need it, Margot.
Always things to improve, right?
You go and have a great day mate
Awesome thank you you too guys
The Hits
The Jono and Ben Podcast
Now we gave ourselves a song to find
We both threw out a scenario on 0800 The Hits
We were hoping someone would call up
I said
Has anyone been to see Taylor Swift on the Errors Tour
On 0800 The Hits
And Jono you were like
Has anyone ever bumped into or eaten a kiwi
in the wild? Not eaten. Accidentally kicked
a kiwi in the wild. Has seen a kiwi, not
at a zoo, but in the wild. And Rachel
joins us right now, listening on
iHeartRadio. Rachel, you went to see
Taylor Swift. Hi, I did.
I did. I was so lucky to get to go
on night five
at SoFi Stadium here in LA.
Now, listen, I don't... are we just taking your word for it?
Where's the evidence?
Have you got a bracelet?
Do you have one of those cool bracelets
that everyone's wearing to the concert?
That's a very good question.
I do.
I came away with, I think, like 16 bracelets.
And I can take a photo to prove it.
Yeah, I need a photo evidence.
Thank you.
Do you want a photo of Taylor Swift on stage
or anything like that?
No, I want to see Rachel in situation with her 16 bracelets and Taylor Swift in the background.
How was it? Because we've seen celebrities there, even Meghan Markle went along and saw her in LA.
So many people have seen her. Was it incredible?
It absolutely was, and I was lucky to be there on the night that Meghan Markle was there,
which I didn't know about until afterwards. It was absolutely was. And I was lucky to be there on the night that Meghan Markle was there, which I didn't know about until afterwards.
It was absolutely incredible.
I'm a whole different person after that show.
I don't know what to say.
It absolutely blew my mind.
You do sound a little different.
I sound a little different.
It was just, yeah, it was incredible going, you know,
through all of the eras and all of the costumes.
Just everything was absolutely impeccable.
Yeah, and so, so beautiful.
And you know what?
The crowd was the loveliest crowd I've ever been in at any concert.
Everybody was just excited and sweet and just, yeah, the vibe was amazing.
So you were night five of a SoFi Stadium.
Is that 70,000?
Yeah, I think it's 70,000, 80,000 people.
So night five.
It is.
We'll go at the lower end.
We'll say it's 70 times five.
350,000.
Wow.
How many more nights were there?
Yeah.
So the last night was last night, and that night six um on the 9th of august so
oh my goodness there's a bit there i've seen online where she sort of dives into the stage
and she goes underneath like she obviously dives into sort of a trap door did you see that or are
you out getting a bracelet yeah i saw that and that was incredible because i kind of seen glimpses
of it on tiktok and things and i was like i I kind of seen glimpses of it on TikTok and things
and I was like I wonder how that's going to look in real life absolutely mind-blowing and I don't
know how she nails that dive every time but she sure did the night I was there and every other
night so yeah really something all right tips for people who are going to the show when it comes
here in 22 years well people going to the Australian shows next year
if they're lucky enough.
Yes, totally.
I'm so excited that she's going to be in Australia
because I feel like, yeah, the Kiwis will get to go to that.
Tips that I have, wear comfortable shoes.
As you said, it's three and a half hours
and comfortable shoes is important.
But, hey, wear glitteryy sparkly shoes as well because
that's fun have so much fun with your outfit because everybody went all out and made things
and I thought that was really special definitely make the friendship bracelet because people love
trading them and I actually came back with none of my own all my bracelets are from other people
and I guess the other thing will be brush up on all your favorite
Swifty songs because, yeah,
you're going to be singing them really loud with a whole lot of people.
It looks like it's sparkly shoes, friendship bracelets, all good.
Oh, yeah, and I even saw it, like Channing Tatum,
he had glitter on his face.
He was there, he had friendship bracelets.
Every celebrity seems to be there.
It seems incredible.
Thank you for sharing that with us and the New Zealand audience.
How much were the tickets, by the way?
Of course, no worries.
And the tickets were, I think I paid $2.60, which felt okay.
I mean, yeah, it felt like it was well worth it.
I know they're often going for a lot more.
So, look, I feel really lucky that I even got to go.
$430 in New Zealand? Not bad. Not bad. Hey, not bad I feel really lucky that I even got to go. 430 in New Zealand?
Not bad.
Not bad.
Hey, not bad.
A lot of people are travelling to go see.
Yeah, current exchange rate.
That's not bad.
Hey, Rach, lovely to talk to you.
Thank you so much for sharing with us this morning.
The Hits, the Jono and Ben podcast.
Hey, Chelsea Bay, the Chelsea Sugar Factory.
We're here in the kitchen trying to make every single cake
from the iconic birthday cake book
that everyone had, the Women's Weekly one everyone had in their childhood.
106 cakes over two days.
It's been a huge effort.
My feet were very, very sore yesterday.
Just a lot of standing, walking around the kitchen.
Clocking up a lot of Ks.
Producer Taylor said she over 16,000 steps on the...
It's gone up by 4,000 since you said it this morning.
Was it 12,000?
Jeez, I just say stuff
you love it
you always go
to the next
you and Trump
you always just
tremendous
tremendous steps
it was the biggest
amount of steps
that anyone's ever
started
no one's ever
stepped as much
as producer Taylor
some magnificent
steps
but yeah we'll see
if we can get up
to 18
20,000 steps
easily I think
she would have
done it already
we started today on 60.
Another cake.
61 cakes.
Now there'll be 65.
We've done four more this morning.
We're going to continue to do so throughout the morning.
If you want to get a cake, because we're giving them away.
We're sending them in couriers.
We're dropping them off around the city as well.
You can head to the hitstock.co.nz.
But it's made news.
It's made news.
Yep.
The wonderful Matty McLean.
He reached out to you.
Yeah.
And he said, hey, I'm engrossed in this cake-a-thon.
Can't take my eyes off it.
And he's like, I need to get you on the breakfast TV show. Yeah.
So we were on breakfast this morning on TVNZ1, which was great.
Thank you so much for them to having us.
And he was last night, he was like, can you send us a cake to show on the program?
I was like, well, I can do one better.
I can send you two cakes.
One, the duck, the iconic duck with the chips for a mouth
and the popcorn for the head.
I can send you that one from the book.
That was our friend Rob who made that.
Rob who works in the office, yeah.
And I can also send you one secretly that Jono didn't know about
of one of Jono's cakes.
One of my masterpieces.
The candle. It's a candle, a big, white, phallic-looking, veiny candle. And I can also send you one secretly that Jono didn't know about of one of Jono's cakes. One of my masterpieces.
The candle.
It's a candle.
A big, white, phallic-looking, veiny candle.
That's what it looks like in the cookbook.
Yeah, but Jono's a shocking job.
But anyway, we sent that to them.
And this is what happened live on TVNZ1 on Breakfast this morning.
I've got a question for you.
What on earth is this?
I've got a cake in the studio. What's he got?
He's got the candle. That's meant
to be a candle from the book. I sent
that one in to Matty and the team
because I thought that needed to be in the studio.
The candle cake.
We could not
for the life of us figure out
what on earth this is meant to be.
It's slop on a plate.
It's a slop on a plate, Jono.
As a special treat for the breakfast viewers,
Matty's going to eat some of the candle cake.
Eat the cake.
I'm pretty sure I washed my hands before making that one.
One bit of advice, Matty, the thing that I have learnt is when you're spreading on the icing,
dip it in some warm water.
That's quite handy.
That's been one little technique to spread that around a little bit
because they make it look easy, spreading out the icing,
and it's actually a lot harder for people like us and probably like you as well, Matty, I'm guessing.
So 106 cakes from the book.
Which one's your favourite?
Or which one's the best one to bake dairy in?
Well, they're all pretty good.
I mean, this one's quite good.
I mean, I don't know if this is where the FIFA World Cup games are happening this weekend,
but they could be happening.
I think it's sanctioned by FIFA, this field, you know, so it's good.
Yeah, these cakes, some of them haven't aged very well, Matty.
Some of them we've actually, we've had to cancel a couple of cakes,
but that's all right.
This one is very impressive.
I like that one.
That looks really good.
Yeah.
Oh, here's my rocket, too, by the way.
Jeff Jono made this one as well, too.
Oh, no.
Brilliant.
Bless you, my friend.
Jeff Bezos wouldn't even fly that wide to space. I mean, it's, John. Brilliant. Bless you, my friend. Jeff Bezos wouldn't even fly that wide to space.
I really, I can't talk too soon because that could very well be me by the end of Sunday.
Hey, good luck for the rest of the cake-a-thon.

Okay, well, we'll just wait here for you to eat that candle cake too, mate.
No, no, no. Back to you in the studio.
John being from the hits.
Thank you.
That was live on Breakfast
TV this morning on TVNZ1.
I think he was saving it for
morning tea with everyone. You know what I reckon he's
going to do? He's going to cheat in his competition and take
my cake along and go
look at this mound of
whatever it is.
