Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome to the Burner Phone, another edition of something I really enjoy doing each day. We've got ourselves a Burner Phone, you can leave us a message at any stage. You can just text BURNER to 4487, we'll flick you back the number and you can leave us a message and we'll clear one a day. We caught you off guard there a little bit Ben, just began the Burner Phone episode and you were midway through telling me some pretty exciting insights into our Instagram account you're pretty happy with the numbers you're getting at the moment on the Jono and Ben Insta and the Hits Breakfast yeah look to be fair like pulling back the curtain because here we are this is
Starting point is 00:00:36 what the podcast is all about the Instagram numbers of our Jono and Ben account have been gradually declining over the past sort of year and a half. Dwindling, yeah. But we've hit, you know, and again, you watch the movie like Finding Nemo and there's the East Australian current and, you know, he's swimming away
Starting point is 00:00:54 and the turtles are all going, yeah, dude, get out to that East. And suddenly they hit that current and away they go. Well, there's been two sort of videos of late on our Instagram that have hit that current and they've just, and got a whole lot of comments. A lot of them, it's just taken on like they're talking about vaccines. They're talking about royalty.
Starting point is 00:01:12 They're talking about things. Some of it doesn't even relate to the video. But they've just got into this current and it's just taken off. Well, one video contains Meghan Markle and Jacinda Ardern. You couldn't find two more divisive people. Well, you know, some of the most divisive people. That really,
Starting point is 00:01:27 and then when that kicks off, you know, when you chuck that grenade into the comments section, it does, it takes on a life of its own. And another video that we did, we pranked our mate Guy Williams
Starting point is 00:01:36 by buying every ticket to his comedy show. So he turned up and he came up on stage. It was just the two of us in the audience, no one else. And that's, so those videos are going well.
Starting point is 00:01:46 So I've been pulling back the curtain of some insights. He's getting some good validation there from Instagram, the likes. Well, it's been hard to get. Instagram's been a hard one to climb back out. I feel like TikTok's very generous of the likes. The Chinese communists, mate, they are delivering the likes. They're pouring raining likes down. Instagram, Facebook.
Starting point is 00:02:07 Anyway. Zuckerberg's been playing hard to get with you. Unless you boost your posts. It's all about trying to boost your posts. I don't know. But anyway, we've got a couple of unboosted posts that have got some wins, so we're happy about that. But let's get to today's barbed wire phone.
Starting point is 00:02:21 Yeah, this is one we got this morning. New voice message. Hi, Jono and Ben. How are you guys? So I've been listening to the radio and you say that Jason Mahoa would be the first hottest guy in the studio. Now, I was wondering between you two, who's been the first hottest one? Because that's now a thing that's been bugging me the whole time. So that would be quite interesting to hear who feels hotter than the other one.
Starting point is 00:02:51 Have a lovely week. From Minky. Bye. Minky. I just took my jacket off, so I was probably running a little hotter than you today. Is that what she means? Yeah. No, we did interview Jason Momoa.
Starting point is 00:03:03 Which is cool. We got to go in the room. And you started it off by saying, if you miss it, you can actually check that out. Doing some great numbers on the Hits Facebook page, that one. So there you go. That's found its own little East Australian current. I think it was the name of the current from Nemo. I'm quoting a movie that maybe no one's seen.
Starting point is 00:03:25 But yes, so you started the interview by saying, sorry, Jason, it's's a bit awkward you're now the third hottest guy in the room and then you went i placed myself first i said me first ben second jason momoa third now obviously i was joking jason momoa would be second and ben third i came on the radio afterwards and i said look look, mate, I'm second no matter what scenario. I'm having a second. So it's you or Momoa fighting it out for first or third. So then you've answered her question. You're saying out of the two of us, you're saying, oh, you're second. I'm saying out of the three of us, I'm taking second.
Starting point is 00:03:58 But then you take Momoa out of the equation and then that means you would be first. Oh, I'll put him third like you did. I'm just saying, no, I'm saying take him out of the equation. He's gone. Just, my mom's left the room. Now there's just you and me in the room. Okay. And you're saying, well, I'm a second.
Starting point is 00:04:11 Yeah. And so you're saying that. Well, I'm second while he's in the room. Yeah. And then so when he's not in the room, you're first. Well. That's what you're telling me. I'm just saying I'm second.
Starting point is 00:04:20 You and my mom can fight it out for first or third. And you know, it's up to you. What's your hottest feature? What do you think is your most. I you know, it's up to you. What's your hottest feature? What do you think is your most – I don't think I'm hot at all. What's your hottest feature? I don't think anyone thinks they are, you know? What would you say, like, if you were going to go,
Starting point is 00:04:33 the hottest body part you got? What do you reckon? I reckon you've got a lovely chest. Lovely, hairless chest. Thank you. I feel like I haven't really matured in a lot of ways as far as, you know, so not a lot of hair on me. Yeah, well, I mean, some people like the look, you know,
Starting point is 00:04:52 that hairless seven-year-old boy look. Some people are into it. You made that sound. I did make it weird. But, no, I think you've got a beautiful chest, Ben. Thank you. Do you work out on the chest or it just is? Oh, look, I used to go to the gym a lot more than I do now.
Starting point is 00:05:07 Now I've been getting into sort of 20-minute, 30-minute YouTube videos that you do at home with no equipment just to really try and fit into my day, really. I'd love to go to the gym more. It's just hard to find time to do all that sort of stuff. Now I've complimented you on your hottest body part because I know you wouldn't do it yourself. So you now have to pay me the respect of doing the same for me.
Starting point is 00:05:27 Oh, so many options. Exactly. You'll name one of them. I like the ship on your guts. The jet on the ship? Yeah, thank you. It reminds me of deep sea voyages. You know, many explorers going to countries around the world.
Starting point is 00:05:42 I do have a big ship on my guts. You do, yeah. I do like above big ship of my guts. You do, yeah. I do like above that. My friend calls me boat guts. There's the dog smoking the cigarette. That's sort of more chest-like, isn't it? Yeah, that's top. See, I remember your test.
Starting point is 00:05:55 You've got dog smoking the cigarette. You've got a serpent fighting a sort of, there's a tiger, I think, on the chest as well. That's on my, yep, they're having a wrestle. You never know who's going to win that battle. There's another dog off to the other side. No, it's a skeleton smoking a cigarette. Oh, a skeleton.
Starting point is 00:06:10 The dog on the left's got a, I always thought it was steak on his head, but it's a hat. It's sort of like a, yeah. Like a Peaky Blinders. Yeah, Peaky Blinders sort of hat as well. You've got a dragon on your arm as well. We've obviously got a portrait of Oscar Poppy and Jen as well in there. Oh, jeez, I'm stunned.
Starting point is 00:06:30 You've got a lot of – there's the whole world on your leg and stuff as well. Yeah, you've got the whole – yeah. Then I've got a new one that goes from knee up to my groin. Yeah, yeah. Do you know what that one is? No, I don't know exactly where the inspiration is from that one is. We haven't – the rich history. To be honest honest i don't know what the inspiration is for either the inspiration is i walk into the building the guy's like what do you reckon about this one i'm like yeah that looks
Starting point is 00:06:52 cool slap it on put it there from this from this point all the way up here i wonder if i'm going to regret them i got some stuff i got some stuff tattooed lasered off and jeez that was sore like um they did a good job they lasered it to a point where you can cover over cover over it but that was definitely ones that were in a place that i could see all the time and didn't like it and then um and then got but oh jeez getting getting a tattoo removal compared to getting a tattoo was so much more painful really oh just oh just excruciating i felt really really how many minutes of time do you it wasn't long it was like a quick blast but you could smell of you know like a burning smell oh really and just
Starting point is 00:07:32 like oh arm was just afterwards like balloon up my poor arm's been through a lot really it's been like a lot of trauma drawn on rubbed off and then drawn on again and what's and how long's the process so when you started it to when it was faded enough? It took a while because you kind of, well, you know, it depends I think also on how deep the tattoo is, how strong the ink is, all that sort of stuff, how quickly it fades away. First session you're like, oh man, this thing's fading off quickly.
Starting point is 00:07:59 But then it didn't, you know, it kind of was really hard to get. Yeah, sort of plateaued. And then you kind of get little bits and they're like, leave it longer next time, it'll keep fading off. But all you want to do is get rid of it. So you kind of keep going back when you can, when it's safe to go back. But yeah, it took a while.
Starting point is 00:08:13 It took a while. It's a quick process. There's a tattoo, many tattoo parlours now have the removal part. And then you can go next door and get re-tattooed again. I know. Beautiful business. It's a great side hustle for the tattoo parlours. Yeah, wonderful cycle.
Starting point is 00:08:26 And hey, this has been another episode of The Burner Phone. If you wish to get in touch with us, we'll have a listen to this. If you want to join The Burner Phone podcast, text BURNERPHONE to 4487 and we'll send you our digits. You could be on tomorrow's episode.
