Ni hao to you as well. Ni hao is good, yeah. Producer Taylor. Once you start thinking about it, you're like, oh, okay. There's so many greetings, aren't there? This is the burner phone. Bonjour. Oh, bonjour. Yeah. Buongiorno.
Starting point is 00:01:14 Guten tag. Oh, the German one? Yeah. Great stuff. How many languages are there in the world, Ben? If you're on the go. I will have a look now. I'm going to guess there is Maybe 123
Starting point is 00:01:25 That would probably be overshooting the mark Wouldn't it How many languages in the world Let's have a look What How many This is obviously going to blow your mind How many languages
Starting point is 00:01:41 7000 With roughly 7000 beautiful and diverse languages spoken in the world today. 7,000? 7,000 languages. That was not. That is. I guess you'd have, you know, there's various dialects, varying dialects of languages. As in like the Chinese, for example.
Starting point is 00:01:59 I know there's different dialects of Chinese, which may be Papua New Guinea. 7,000. They reckon there's 500 different languages within Papua New Guinea. This is insane. This is what? Yeah. 7,000 different languages. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:15 The Bible has been translated in 2,508 different languages. Jeez, I thought 123 was overshooting the mark. When you think about countries, there's only 200 and something overshooting the mark well you think about countries there's only 200 and something um countries in the world i think you know so that's that is wild yeah crazy um most popular would be spanish isn't it the most spoken okay sorry i keep firing these things for you to Google. Nice spoken. Languages in the world. Hey! Hey! Look at this.
Starting point is 00:02:49 What's up? What's up, Dylan? We've got some special. I'm written Dylan. Hey! We bullied them into coming over. Good to see you, mate. Good to see you.
Starting point is 00:03:04 We're in the middle of our podcast. Jump on. Wow. I'm written Dilhan from Dilmar. We spoke to Dilhan a couple of weeks ago, and they're doing a thing at the moment where you enjoy a Griffin's biscuit with a cup of Dilmar tea. Dunk it with Dilmar.
Starting point is 00:03:17 Yeah, we're talking about trying to connect people, and we said to you, Dilhan, we're like, you need to come over and see us. There's a joke. Now you're here. We felt the connection. Yeah. Geez, I'm sorry. We didn't bully you into coming over here, did we? Actually, you need to come over and see us. There's a joke. Now you're here. We felt the connection. Yeah. Geez, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:03:25 We didn't bully you into coming over here, did we? Actually, you did. Okay. Well, lovely to see you. Thank you very much for coming. Nice to see you. How have you guys been? Nice to see you all, yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Yeah. Yeah. I was so traumatized on the last occasion we met. Oh, really? Standing for three minutes, looking into camera with you. Oh, yes. This was, yeah, it was challenging. But, you know, I got over it.
Starting point is 00:03:47 I decided the best thing. You know, they say the hair of the dog. That's right. Get back into it, right? Yeah. I see you guys have got new tea, cold tea as well. Yeah, we've got some iced tea coming out now. Don't call it cold tea.
Starting point is 00:03:59 Yeah, cold tea. It's a beautiful iced tea. Iced tea. That was the word I was looking for, not cold tea. Cold tea. Iced tea. Sorry, I word I was looking for, not cold tea. Cold tea. Iced tea. Sorry, I'm very unprepared for this. Cold tea sounds like a drink that's been left in the office.
Starting point is 00:04:11 Also, they come in cans as well. That's right, yeah. Blood orange iced tea. When did you drop this, guys? Well, you know, guess what? It's also a combination of our tea, hand-picked, handmade, and your water. Because you've got the best water in the world. So these are iced teas.
Starting point is 00:04:28 They're really good. We extracted in Sri Lanka and combine it with beautiful Kiwi water. And what better combination, right? I like to say it's my grandfather's cup of tea, but in a can. Oh, in the can. That is beautiful. I've got the lemon flavor here, Dilma. Blood orange.
Starting point is 00:04:42 It's really nice. This has turned into a wonderful advertorial for the iced tea. That is beautiful. Hey, now some sad news too, the passing of Mural. Your father. Your legend who started Dilma. He did. He built a foundation that is incredible, which I know that my son and I, we certainly couldn't.
Starting point is 00:05:02 But what he did was give hope to a lot of producers around the world because he was the first tea grower, and in fact the first grower in tea, coffee, or cocoa, to offer his produce grown, harvested, made with a lot of love. You know, producers, we love what we do, and that's why we do it. And bringing it direct to market. And I think that's the difference. Well, it's such a family business too now, you know.
Starting point is 00:05:26 That's true. That's true. And, you know, my father very sincerely asked Kiwis simply, you know, we didn't have you guys around to take our message across. So my father came on TV and did it himself, do try it. And Kiwis accepted. And wow, what an incredible blessing. Because from there, Dilma went on to over 100 countries around the world.
Starting point is 00:05:47 So my son and I, we've come to say thank you, guys. Well, this is a very expensive thank you. We will take it. We will take it. And so much more, because when we first met you, you explained to us what the company actually does. And you're not just manufacturing great iced tea and tea. You do so much for the community over there. We're a family business and this is what families do. So my father built the business around a philosophy of kindness. And you know, when you love what you do, so he loves tea
Starting point is 00:06:15 and aligning that with kindness to people and to nature, there really can't be a better formula. And I'm not saying this, you know, for posturing and saying, look, aren't we good boys? No, it's not. It's not about that. It's about genuinely expressing the success of what you do in the lives of others. There really can be no greater fulfillment in life. Kindness in business? Uh-uh.
Starting point is 00:06:38 That doesn't work for me, mate. We are savages. No, we're not. We don't even know how to do business. We don't even wear suits to work. No, we don't. We definitely donages. No, we're not. We don't even know how to do business. We don't even wear suits to work. No, we don't. Definitely don't. Hey, here's something.
Starting point is 00:06:48 We were just doing our podcast. It's called The Burner Phone. And have a guess how many languages there are in the world. What do you think? A number. How many languages? It's more than we thought. I said 124, and I thought that was overshooting the mark.
Starting point is 00:07:02 No, but he's way off. I reckon about 300. Over 7,000 different languages Over 7,000 different languages. 7,000 different languages. Not all of them are still used today and within different countries there's different versions of languages. But yeah, how's that? It's blowing your mind, isn't it?
Starting point is 00:07:17 It blew our minds as well. Now, Sri Lanka. Is there just one language in Sri Lanka? No, we have at least, we have three official. Yeah. And a few others, particularly when, you know, when we drop the tea or spill the tea, you know, then there's a different language for that. But, you know, we don't talk about that.
Starting point is 00:07:39 You guys do a lot of traveling, don't you? How long do you spend away from home every year? About four weeks, right? Yeah, it's been four weeks this time. But we haven't, yeah, it's, you know, we've spent a bit of time
Starting point is 00:07:50 with my father. So before he passed, we had a few months downtime. But, you know, it's a family business. So we've got to go. I take my son around. Yeah, what's it like
Starting point is 00:07:59 travelling with your dad everywhere? Don't tell them the truth, son. He just did. Okay. I just paused. No, it's actually so great to actually come and bring tea to the people who are actually drinking.
Starting point is 00:08:13 This is the official version. No, no, no. It's genuine, genuine. You enjoy it, because last time we spoke to you, he was on the TikTok, mate, and he was getting you on TikTok. Yeah, how's that going? That's going great as well. it's not good it's embarrassing two opposite answers
Starting point is 00:08:28 at the same time Armour said really good and Duham's like very embarrassing it is it's the new way of advertising though isn't it mate
Starting point is 00:08:36 yeah I know but it's too much like reality yeah but that's the point it's authentic yeah mate these kids they're up to some
Starting point is 00:08:44 old stuff Duham I don't know it's how it resonates with them nowadays hey well thank you so much for popping in It's authentic. Yeah. These kids, they're up to some wild stuff. That's how it resonates with them nowadays. Hey, well, thank you so much for popping in. We didn't expect this. No, this is quite a surprise. It's so nice to see you both. Yeah. And what are you doing while you're here?
Starting point is 00:08:55 Obviously talking about the, as I like to call it, the cold tea, but you like to call it the iced tea. Yeah, we've been sampling the iced tea and there's some tea sodas. People are loving it. So we've been doing that. We've been catching up with old friends. Friday we had a wonderful celebration of my father's life. So many beautiful Kiwis that he loved
Starting point is 00:09:12 and who made his dream come true. That's awesome. Awesome. Well, thank you for popping in. Thank you for the iced tea, slash cold tea. And have a great day, guys. Enjoy them.
