Starting point is 00:00:00 Hi, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glenn Powell, Anthony Ramos. How are you guys? Great. Now, Glenn, you worked with Bill Paxton years ago, and he was in the original Twister. You probably obviously didn't know you were going to do this movie when you worked with him, but did it come up in conversation? Oh, absolutely. I mean, we shot that in Texas, and I think one of the wild parts about talking to Bill is he was such a smart guy, but every movie he did, you know, he really, he was such a curious individual, but he really cared about the weather after Twisters. Like that was something he, it was one of the great passions of
Starting point is 00:00:36 his, of his life. And, and he was just a really exceptional guy. And Daisy, I love that you are the brains of the operation. You you you save the day without giving too much away have you carried that on as well like build it do you look at the sky now and you're like it's like tornado weather today I definitely think so I mean I think the thing that getting to film in Oklahoma we you know you can't help but suddenly become really like aware of cloud formation and and because you're experiencing extreme weather and obviously I'm from London so it doesn't get that extreme for me so it was so cool to actually film there and experience like we had actual storms um actual sort of tornadoes uh uh descend while we were not on set while we
Starting point is 00:01:15 were filming but you know around the area and it was just it was wild I went chasing for real with Glenn and Brandon actually with a few of the storm chasers. And it was so cool to actually chase. I was going to ask you guys, are storm chasers real? And yeah, I was going to say, did you go on a ride along? These are real people. There is a group of people on Earth that do this for a living. They, you know, and this is their life. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:39 Life's mission. And they go out there and they put their lives on the line to hopefully collect some kind of data, you know. And sometimes the time they say you don't see anything or you don't even see a tornado but but that they they go out there time and time again in hopes to catch something now Anthony I I read that Steven Spielberg he's the EP for this and he told you not to do the southern accent is that a relief and what does that mean to you sure there was a relief one less thing to think about you know uh the the best part for me was was that growing up i don't think that um many many of us in that neighborhood dreamt of being meteorologists um or even you know actors right and um I'm just grateful that I had the opportunity to you know
Starting point is 00:02:26 to have to keep the way I speak and you know to be on the big screen sounding like a Puerto Rican kid from the projects in Brooklyn I know what that's like because Kiwis in New Zealand anytime New Zealand's mentioned or if we heard a Kiwi accent on an interview we're like oh my god it's us that's you know the same same vibe can you guys do you reckon you could do a kiwi accent i think i could if i worked today how do you say twisters in kiwi twisters tornado that's pretty similar. Don't confuse us with the Aussies. He's coming across a little bit Aussie.
Starting point is 00:03:12 Twisters. Tornado. Twisters. It's really confronting when you guys try and sound like me. It's really bad. We're going to do all the rest of our interviews today in a kiwi action please do please do um do you guys reckon if you were in a natural disaster now that you would be able to handle yourselves particularly if a twister was to occur i think i think i'd know to what i'd actually i actually was the first time i ever filmed uh in the south i was filming
Starting point is 00:03:45 in louisiana um and i the first night i got there there was a tornado warning on my like i woke up to a tornado warning i'd met like on the phone um and i was like oh my god what do i do i didn't know what to do whereas now i know you have to go like inside uh away from windows preferably obviously in a bunker if you can or below um ground but yeah i think so not in a bath bubble bath yeah just like light some candles like just try to stay calm so out of the three of you who is most likely to run away crying in a disaster situation do you think please say glenn i just really wanted to be all that uh that key i'm not doing this kiwi accent all day
Starting point is 00:04:33 who's more likely to run away me you you'd be like i'm i'm why not i'm gonna survive i'm gonna survive already at the airport i'm in the bubble bath thank you so much for your time today guys i loved the movie it was on par if not better than the original um and yeah it's lovely chatting to you
