The John O'Ben and Megan podcast, thanks to Dilma.
Goodness really does taste great.
Dilma, making the world a better tea.
Social media, I'm sure everyone's on some form of social media listening to it right now.
And it's, you know, like there is some enjoyable aspects.
There's bad things about it, but there's also some enjoyable things that you can do.
But I do feel like everyone that you're on, every platform becomes a little bit of like,
I want you to check that, I need to do that.
I mean, even with texting and WhatsApp and stuff, there's so many messages coming through to you at any stage.
You're like, where is this coming from?
Need to reply to that.
need to reply.
Email us, Megan?
Yeah, message is coming at me, left, right and center.
So my daughters, you know, they're teenagers, and a lot of teenagers are on Snapchat.
That's kind of their preferred thing.
Snapchat, all on the floor, Snapchat.
And over the break, they were like, we're going to sign you up to Snapchat.
And I was like, no, I don't want to be on Snapchat.
You don't need another.
And it's either.
I don't need another thing to do.
I don't need to go, now I need to check Snapchat.
They're like, no, we're going to do it.
And they did it.
They put my phone, and now they've got me on Snapchat.
Now, all I know about Snapchat, because the kids are on it is the business model
is based on friendship streaks, isn't it?
Oh, I know, and this is the annoying thing.
So I've only got, I may got two people that I have friends with.
It's just my two daughters.
And that feels like that's a tight circle.
You make friends with other teenage girls on Snapchat.
And that's the worry as well.
I'm like, that's, I'm just like, this is my circle.
This is my circle.
This is my tight circle.
There's all these requests pop up.
And I'm like, I'm ignoring those.
This is my tight circle.
And even within my tight circle, like, they will message me.
It's often a photo or whatever they're doing.
or, you know, a little photo, piece sign, tongue out,
that sort of thing, that do their friends.
And I will sometimes not get back to it.
I've only been on there like a week,
and they're like, you're ruining our snap streak.
You keep, because every day you're meant to respond back with a picture.
And I've twice, I've had to, like, I'm on my last save.
They'll let you save it twice before.
But you've only been on it for a week.
I know.
So your snap streaks like two days.
Yeah.
Oh, dude.
They threaten you, Snapchat, threaten you,
you're like, this friendship will be over if you don't send a photo of your forehead.
Now!
360 days of a snap streak.
You've got to keep it going, sort of thing.
So, yeah.
So, I mean, it's actually quite nice.
I've probably had more messages from my kids
over the last couple of days of this
because that's probably what they do.
Yeah, but quantity.
Yeah.
Like, the quality is, um, poke-out tongue, peace sign.
That's what friendships are based on now.
Blah!
He's a photo of my ceiling.
Yeah, or like, I'll put a virtual snorkel on me
or a silly mouth or something like that.
I'm like, oh, that's it.
Some of those are quite fun.
Shrek was kissing me on the cheek the other day.
I'm like, I can see why I can get it.
And they're like you're getting into this now, aren't you?
I'm like, no, a little bit.
Oh no.
So yeah, Snapchat.
I feel like, yeah, it's not really for me, but hey.
I fell off no surprises here, Snapchat, because I had like 150-something-something-day street with my best friend.
And that was a big feat for me.
Yeah.
And then I couldn't be bothered to doing it anymore.
It's a monstrous act on Snapchat to hang that threat over a friendship, isn't it?
Like, literally, your friend would text you being like, our snaptreet's going to expire.
You're like, oh, God.
Great, great hook.
Great hope of Snapchat.
Well done, them.
They've done really well.
John O'Benn and Megan.
The podcast.
The hits.
Ben, you just have a vulnerable state there.
You shared that you've joined Snapchat.
Thanks to your daughters.
Was it?
Yeah, wasn't my call to join to dip my toes into the Snapchat game.
And now I'm getting hassle because the Snapchat streak.
I'm going to keep those going.
Yeah.
You're like, you know what Snapchat needs a middle-aged man to help them out?
That's all I'm saying to daughters.
I'm like, this is not for me.
It's not for me.
It's not for me.
So you and your two daughters, this is.
is your close, close-knit circle.
Now, producer Grace has just come in to the studio.
So I wasn't going to bring it up, but the moment you created, you're on Snapchat,
I got an alert saying, Grace, you have a new friend suggestion from your contact with Ben, boy.
Because they do.
And then such and such, Connor from the hits, he's on Snapchat, make friends.
It's like, they're really good at, like, zeroing in on.
I was like, I was like, oh my God, this is so embarrassing for Ben.
I was like, do I bring it up?
And then Ben put it up for himself.
I was like, why is Ben on Snapchat?
Yeah, this is the thing.
I told my daughters.
It's like, it's not a, everyone in your contacts is like,
oh, they're on Snapchat.
They all know.
I feel like I'm not a Snapchat type person.
No, you don't give Snapchat energy.
No, no, and that's okay.
And I was saying that my kids are mine, that's fine.
But how everyone knows you're in the game?
I know.
Also, babes, like, it feels weird that you're on Snapchat
because Snapchat was like 10 years ago.
I felt like we fell off it.
And then you guys have really picked it up again.
10 years ago, I was on Snapchat, yes.
What do you mean?
I'm 25.
I was 15.
Have we not moved on from the dog licking.
I'm not doing that, Megan.
Okay.
That's ridiculous.
But Ben, he's keeping his circle tight.
He's not flat.
There's a tight three at the moment.
Just the daughter's and me.
That's it.
That's it.
I'm sorry, Grasible.
We don't have to have an awkward like,
is he going to follow me?
Is he going to go?
We don't have to start a streak or anything like that.
It's okay.
My advice is never send Amanda a naughty snap.
Because as soon as you think it's going to one person,
it's not.
Okay.
Keep the circle tight.
Ben and Megan.
The podcast.
They headed up in a moon boot with crutches coming through the door last night.
Oh, so she arrived home.
Yeah.
Welcome back.
Yeah.
Why?
Well, so she had a bit of a major back operation last year and she's just been getting back into doing a bit more sort of fitness type stuff.
You know, getting back.
I know it was a blowt extension for you, wasn't it?
What?
What?
No.
And even as you're retelling this, I can hear the slight disdain like, mm-hmm.
I have to do everything.
Oh, I see what you're saying.
Sorry, I'm just paralyzed with a back operation.
Yeah, she had a major back operation.
But, yeah, I did.
Anyway, that's important right now.
She went through quite a lot.
And she's been, you know, just starting to get back into a little bit of exercising
over a holiday, you know, period.
And she was like, you know what?
I'm going to get a personal trainer just for a couple of sessions just to get a program.
Well, and she probably wants to get all the movements correct.
You don't want to do you back again.
So this is not a long-term thing, but just like, I'm going to go along with their personal trainer
and get a program set up.
so what I need to do.
And it was meant to happen Monday night.
So Monday night.
And I was going to go down to the gym as well.
I'll come down as well.
I'll go do my thing.
And also, you just want to check out the personal trade.
Just have one eye on the treadmill.
Oh, okay, the hot Latino.
Who's this guy?
Rico Swame.
Who's this guy?
And so we sort of parked to the car park and the man of my wife's like,
all right, let's get into it.
Straight away.
I'm going to run to the gym.
And this was probably only 50, 100 meters.
way.
She's been running though.
This isn't the maiden jog.
No,
well,
it wasn't the first.
But not like she's been doing
a lot of running,
but it wasn't like a huge.
It was like,
get a little bit of a warm up.
I'm like,
okay,
and I was still sort of fluffing around
trying to find my drink bottle and stuff.
So she sort of took off.
Well, see you in there.
And it was dark.
It was night time.
And then I sort of arrived at the gym
and she's like,
um,
and I was like,
well,
she's like,
I've rolled my ankle.
I'm like,
what?
Like,
we've just arrived at the gym.
And 30 seconds.
And she had run in the dark
And there was quite these massive sort of boulders
That were along a path
And she hadn't seen it because
You know, that it was dark
And sort of landed off one and rolled her ankle
Now she started trying to try
To sort of push on with the personal trainer session
And then she sort of yeah
Rico was hot wasn't he
Yeah and afterwards she was like
Oh that wasn't too good
And then she went to work yesterday
And she's like still not too good
And then after work went along to you know
The A&E and then end up in a moonboat
No, she said to you, I think I need to go to A&E.
And what was your response?
Well, I sort of chat GPTed it.
And I was like, it doesn't sound like you've broken anything.
And she had scans and they haven't been broken.
But I was like, I'm not saying she's not in a lot of pain.
But I was like, what can they do?
Like, is it one of these, what can they do situations?
Because it's like.
So it is a spray?
It's a sprain.
It just needs to be compressed for all.
How long?
Well, if you were going to moonboot, sort of three days, four days.
You're out on crutches and stuff.
When did she get back to Rico?
I don't know, actually.
I don't know.
You had to cancel.
There was meant to be a session last night.
I was not.
Last night it was gone.
Maybe you should take the sessions.
I'll take the sessions.
RICO sounds hot.
Yeah, so yeah, we'll see how that goes, the poor thing.
So anyway, Jim's just putting that on a slight postponement for a little bit.
I imagine there's a lot of people who have almost just made it to the gym.
You know, text four for eight seven.
Yeah.
What stopped you from just, you know, you're nearly at the gym and you decided no, maybe it was an injury.
I always think of there's a lot.
I always think if there's no car park when you get there, the universe is like, that's your day off.
What was it meant to be?
Do you turn around if there's no car park?
Sometimes.
But you're driven all the way there.
I know, but the universe has given me that gift.
There's a theory you're just going to do one thing.
I know.
So get to the gym and just do one extra.
Just get in the door.
Push one way up.
And then once you're there, you're going, I can do a bit more.
But it's the hardest thing is to get to do that one.
Walk in, connect to the Wi-Fi.
Oh, yeah, that's good going.
Yeah, but maybe that's a...
Dono, Ben and Megan.
The podcast.
The heads.
We were rushing, you know,
well, my wife was rushing you a few things done before we went away over a holiday break.
And she was getting some appointments done before she went to the airport.
And as we were putting the bags through the scanner, her backpack,
they were like, oh, whose backpack is this?
And she was like, oh, it's mine.
And they're like, oh, could you come over here, please?
Always get nervous in that, Kay.
Even if you're not trafficking anything.
No, no.
There's a little part of you going,
have I got 10 cages?
I know you do your best to try and look real innocent
but you're probably like wide-eyed looking around.
And she was so...
Imagine if you were actually doing that.
Oh, yeah.
And your bear got pulled aside.
She was very embarrassed by this, very mortified
because she'd been rushing around doing things
and eating some food on the run
and we've talked a lot about persimen.
The fruit recently.
My wife's huge fan of persimates.
And you?
Yeah, I do.
She's got me into the persimmon game
and she had gone to a hair appointment
before the airport
and take him with her a persiment.
A travel persiment?
Well, yeah, she wasn't planning to take it to the airport,
but just having it while she was getting her hair done, eating lunch.
And she took the pursman and took a steak, a big steak knife from home.
Oh, to cut it up.
Yeah, to cut it up and eat it while she was there,
and she had forgotten about her,
and half a persimine and a steak knife was in her bag as she went through the airport.
I was like, well, that's a double whammy for the airport, too.
That's fruit from travel overseas and a weapon, you know, as well.
She was like, oh, I'm so embarrassed by that.
A threat to biosecurity and other humans, yeah.
So obviously that got confiscated.
They were nice about it.
It was an innocent mistake.
Do they offer to send your steak knife and half a personman back to you?
Well, I think the personman had to go.
We're not letting that back in.
Yeah, but I think you can go back out if you've got time.
But we just, it was too late.
It was gone.
It was gone.
The knife was gone.
But what have you had confiscated?
4487 on the text?
Producer Troy.
Have you anything confiscated from the airport, Megan?
Well, I've been searched before because I bought one of those.
old school perfume bottles that have like the squirty thing, the external.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
The pouch, that looks fun to squirt.
On an x-ray, it looks like a bomb.
Oh.
So I got, yeah, I got my whole suitcase pulled apart to find that, yeah.
It was just a perfect.
Can I just say, Ben, can your family just go through the airport and not cause a legal incident?
Yeah, we'd be nice, wouldn't it?
We've been nice.
You've got your history.
No, no.
Just travel through once.
I try to do now.
I try to be,
I'm like,
no,
the whole airport
gets an alert
when the boys
are around,
but not me,
what are they doing this time?
Oh,
she was so embarrassed by it.
Because Troy,
you had something pretty nasty.
Yeah,
my old man,
he's in like logistics
and transport
and they get a lot of novelty things
from the different
truck companies
like BMW clocks
and like,
you know?
And he got something
that he gave to me
that I forgot was in my bag
and it was a BMW machete.
Wow,
BMW, really brand-extending
into the machete game.
It was a foldable, I guess, kind of,
it was kind of like a pocket knife thing,
but it was like...
A big knife.
Who was the marketing guru at BMWs?
Like, I know we've done well with cars, guys.
You know what we're needing?
The machete game.
And the guy just pulled it out and goes,
you cannot take this on the plane.
And I was like, you know, fair enough.
Fair enough.
What about my Mercedes flamethrower?
So did you get it sent back to you?
I got a sent back.
Yeah, he let me go back and post it back to myself.
So it was, I still have it.
Oh, there you go.
Have you ever used your BMW machete?
I haven't.
It hasn't happened an occasion where I've been like, you know what I need.
A jungle to cut through.
Yeah.
John O'Bin and Megan. The podcast.
The heads.
Yeah, your wife tried to bloody smuggle a half a person in through the gates.
Yeah, no, no, no, no. She was very embarrassed to buy it.
I took a couple days before I could, you know, sort of lightly mock her about it.
Oh, she was that embarrassed by it.
Oh, yeah.
I know.
I was also scared, too, because she's carrying a knife.
I was like, well, yeah.
And it's not like you have a squeaky.
clean record with the airport.
We've all made our mistakes, Megan.
We've all made our mistakes.
And as you know, if time passes, you can have a little bit of...
Love it.
Like, careful mum, mum's got a knife, guys.
Were you dropping that in?
It was a risky move about three days later.
I tried that.
It got a small chucker.
I was like, whoo.
A risky comedy.
Now, the annoying thing for you, though, is steak knives.
It's easy to come in fours or eight.
You know, you're missing one.
Missing one.
You can only have seven people over for a steak meal.
So, 0,800 the hits, what you've had confiscated at the airport.
Megan, a lot of people like you, the old puff of perfume.
Oh, really?
Yeah, a couple of texts like that.
People pulled over thinking that they're carrying...
A bomb?
Or like a grenade or something?
I'm not quite sure.
Surely the x-ray should be able to recognise it as perfume.
It's a cocky grenade owner.
You're putting that on your carry-on.
Lots of people with scissors, sunscreen, cross-stitched scissors come through a few times.
A cheeseboard was considered a weapon.
Got that confiscated?
Which is interesting.
Like a paddle.
A banana, someone said in Berlin last year.
They got pulled aside and they pulled out of the bag and security went bang bang.
Security did.
Gotcha.
They had a sense of humour and they let them meet the banana, which was nice.
The Germans do have a sense of humour, don't they?
The customs people, if anyone's listening, what happens to all this stuff?
Well, yeah.
Does it just get destroyed?
Must do, yeah.
So, yeah.
The cheeseboard.
It's a good cheeseboard.
It's a great cheese board.
No one eats it.
I wouldn't begrudge them at the end of the end of the end of the end of.
day they went, who wants this?
Who wants a purview?
Yeah, exactly.
Adam, morning to you.
Good morning. Happy New Year.
Happy New Year.
What did you have confiscated?
So I didn't have it confiscated, but I have a rather amusing story about how I got stopped in
Shanghai for allegedly carrying dynamite in my bag.
Oh, my God.
Oh, what?
So what happened is I was over in Shanghai for a university trip.
And while I was over there, I bought some stationery, and I bought some really cheap markers.
And because they were really cheap, I bought 90s.
of them. And so when I packed them in my check luggage, they were packed in two lots of
45, which I didn't realize at the time closely resembles what you'd see in dynamite and cartoons.
Oh yeah, so they were kind of taped up and wrapped up as one.
Yeah, taped up and wrapped up as one in two big blocks. So when they went through the scanner,
I thought nothing was wrong. But then when I got to the airport, yeah, they pulled me aside,
put me in a separate room and went through my bag. And I thought, oh, what's going on there?
but they were clearly looking for the markers,
you know, thinking it was a bomb,
and they found it, and they were like,
oh, it's just a bomb.
And I thought, huh, that was weird walking out
until a friend just kind of tapped me on the shoulder.
Like, that kind of looked like dynamite.
I was like, oh, my God, you're here, right.
That would have been a good story.
That would have been a good through line on Border Patrol, wouldn't it?
Yeah.
This trip, is he carrying dynamite, dook.
Go to the ads, go to another story.
And you're like, oh, yes.
Looks like dynamite, yeah.
They must be pretty tough over there in Shanghai.
Someone's texted saying they nearly got 30,
$1,000 cash taken off them.
Oh, jeez.
Couldn't travel with that amount of money.
That's wild.
Thank you so.
A bit of a scary one.
Yeah.
Zoe, thank you so much for you call, Adam.
Appreciate it.
Zoe, morning to you.
Good morning.
What was confiscated at the airport, Zoe?
Well, I had two occasions.
The first one was I was bringing back canned duck,
chicken buy in France.
And it's the most delicious thing ever.
It's like that confi duck.
And I didn't realize that the ones that I got were thighs and they had bones in them.
And apparently you're not allowed to bring very dead, semi-cooked duck bones.
Oh, really?
Who would have thought?
Who would have thought?
Sounds delicious.
Can't get away with anything nowadays.
It is delicious.
And then the other one was my boyfriend at the time and I had a deer, like, antler,
like a massive deer antler in our luggage.
And they confiscated that as well because apparently,
had a little bit of dirt on it and that was a
biohazard so they confiscated it, quarantined
it cleaned it for us and I think
a couple of hundred dollars later we got it back. Oh you got it back
too? You're trying to bring some wild stuff through.
Good on you. Taking a risk out there Zoe.
Really appreciate you cool. So many texts on this
one. Huge amount of texts.
I got my petrol line trimmer taken
off me. I can understand why
that would be an annoyance on the carry-on luggage.
Mum got beans taken
off her.
We have beans here.
Sometimes I watch Border Patrol
And I'm like
We had that here
You've got all this
You don't have to travel 15 hours
With all of this packed meat
Vacuum packed meat
We'll keep these coming through
4-4-87 on the text
John O'Benn and Megan
The podcast
The Hats
I've made this mistake before
On the Google Calendar invite
You know
In the family situation
I'm sure you guys fire them out
In you listening as well
Boom, you're firing off calendar invites for events that are taking place in the household.
And a lot of the time when you invite people, you just type in the first letter of their email address
and you just assume that you've got the right one.
Yeah, you know?
So Jay, for Jennifer, my wife, pops up and I think I've done it.
Bang, fire it off.
And then this is for my daughter's dance recital.
Right, okay.
then I look at the calendar, I was, oh, she doesn't accept it.
Usually, you know, clicks accept and you get an email back going, oh, they've accepted your invite.
And then I checked back, and I had invited a driving instructor to my daughter's dance.
So now I've been trying to track down a driving instructor for my son, who's going for his license.
And I can't only imagine this driving instructor's got this invite.
And he's like, oh, you have had a little bit.
bit of conversation
but it didn't know
we're at attending
your daughter's
dance recital stage
about a relationship
throw them
wouldn't it
would
and you know
it's like a calendar
invite seems
really personal
like you've
feels like you just
got to accept
you know
declining ones
that's a savage
mood
I had that happen
the work
yeah
Ben Humphrey
who was the producer
on this radio
show for a while
he came up to me
and he goes
oh hey can I ask
you quick question
I was like yeah
he goes
uh your wife
does she want me
to help out
with some filming
this weekend
and I was like
that's right
and I was like
what
He goes, yeah, she sent me a calendar invite.
And I was like, I'm guessing you don't want me to.
I'm thinking it's for you because you always have the same name, Ben.
But I just, before I replied back, I was just wanted to make sure that wasn't.
Well, like, I'm sure you'd accept the help if he was offering.
It was nice of him to think, yeah, I suppose I can help out.
She really wants me there.
Weird that I wasn't on the email.
It was just from Amanda.
And with filming.
Bring your camera.
I know.
She just sent it away to her.
You're like, oh.
You got the ring light.
Your birthday's coming up.
Yes, I don't want the tour of them making together.
Do the shoe take place?
You don't know?
I don't know, actually.
I was off the comms.
John O'Ben and Megan.
The podcast.
The hits.
We're talking about what's been stolen from the work fridge after, well, Megan,
you've had some red bull stolen?
Yeah, a whole tray, an open tray that was wrapped up in that plastic stuff.
On Grace's desk.
and we just went and did a little look around.
There's a radio station that has a couple of unwrapped trays.
I'm going to go look at it's multiplied.
Well, one might be ours.
I'm going to go prowling.
Name and shame is the one you used to proudly work at,
not so proudly now.
It is, why don't work there now?
Yeah.
You're proud.
You're proud here.
Proud hits hard now.
Do you know, well, because yesterday they heard about the brazen theft of your
Red Bull.
They offered, they said, hey, we've got some if you'd like some.
Oh, that's nice.
If they have stolen it, then they're like,
Give it back.
That's what I do.
That's what I do.
I'd be like, oh, you can have to,
because it makes you look like the good guy.
But then you give it, but yeah.
It's been stolen from work.
4487 on the text.
I got Candace with us.
Happy New Year to you, Candice.
Happy New Year, guys.
Lovely to have you on.
Okay, the communal work fridge.
It's the lawless society.
It's like international waters.
What's been stolen from yours?
It was.
So, for me, it wasn't work.
It was actually school.
Like a school fridge?
No, my school bag.
Oh, that school.
Oh, someone went into your bag?
Yeah, so my mum made me a juice every day, you know, just your plain Raro and you drink bottles.
Loved it, staple of the 90s.
Yeah, but every day I went to school, I'd go out for morning tea and someone had drunken it.
Every day.
From your bag?
Yeah, from my bag.
So they'd drink my juice and leave my empty bottle.
Oh.
Through the straw?
I don't know.
But it was gone.
One day my mum made a food colouring salt mix.
Oh, good prank.
Was that the last time?
That was the last time because I wheel out to my bag and about half of it was gone.
That's great.
It took them half of it.
Yeah, so they scaled like half of it before they realized what they were drinking.
Thankfully, your mum's a better person than me because tropical raro also resembles another flavor,
another colour of liquid that you could have got them back with.
But your mum's a better person.
Candace, thanks so much for your call.
We're going to hook you up with some Dillmartee Prize pack coming your way.
Now, we've got Rob from the office here.
Now, Rob, there, you've had things being stolen quite regularly.
Yeah, quite often, actually.
Yeah, it's more often than not at the moment.
What's the place that we're working in, guys?
I don't know.
I think the, your humble office thief, they don't see themselves as a real thief.
Right.
Yeah, they don't like, but if you did this out in the community, you're stealing.
Okay, so what are you getting targeted with?
I think the last one was I bought in a container of,
chicken nibbles that I cooked at home.
And Rob's a really good cook.
Amazing.
It would have had like some kind of fancy flavor.
Oh yeah.
People know me.
I'd go extra on my lunches.
Bougy sauces that I make, you know, homemade ranch and stuff.
So I had some ranch in there, some buskling.
We used to live together.
Colonel Sanders would be bloody salivating at these little chicken nipples.
Yeah.
And they were just the next day, because I left them overnight,
because I didn't quite have them that day.
Anyway, it came in the morning and went to go have my lunch.
and they were gone.
But there were bones left in the container,
sauces dipped into, and an empty container.
On the bench?
Yeah, on the bench.
You were like working to take it back to the kitchen sort of thing.
Yeah.
Extra villainous.
Stealing a homemade lunch is eating it and giving you the leftover,
like the bones.
But you said you have like an area in the fridge that's yours.
Well, I mean, unofficially I do.
Yeah, yeah, I always put my stuff in the same spot.
So people must know,
They'd have bougie lunches, so they go to that spot and grab them.
I blame the hits Night Show host.
Oh, Bryn.
Brin Racken.
I wouldn't put it past, Brin.
He's a smiling assassin.
Isn't he?
You're friendly, charming, charismatic around the office?
Yeah.
You get chicken in between his teeth?
Have you sabotaged anything?
You need to bring in something sabotage.
No, well, I mean, you're rolling the dice on chicken anyway, aren't you?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Maybe I'll just leave some at home for, like, a week.
So it's all gross.
Because they could kill them.
Oh, shouldn't have eaten my chicken.
The punishment needs to fit the crime, Rob.
John O'Benn and Megan.
The podcast.
The Hats.
A little bit of time with the family in America.
And, you know, there's always differences when you go to another place and it's not New Zealand.
And the New Zealand accent, I've talked about this.
And I always love trying to order something and say my name and just watch them go,
huh?
I got some good ones this time around when I order my name to, you know, often you get a hot.
drink in the morning. I got the usual
I've got bin, pen, pin
and then I got, when I try and even spell
it out, I was like, let's just start spelling it.
Then they give me bain or bian.
Bian. Yeah, B-I-E-N,
B-N. I was like, oh, that's a bit more exotic.
But at no point when they're writing on the cut, they're like,
what parent in their right mind would name
a child pin or pen?
Like, let's think about this.
Let's take two seconds to think about
what his name could possibly be.
But then I watched, I was watching some TV
in America and obviously they have, you know, they have to really delve into the side effects
of medications.
You know, usually all the feels like we just like, read the box.
Check with the doctor, read the box.
I think they list them in tiny writing on the screen.
Yes.
But then in America, they have to literally read out the side effects.
So this was a commercial that I was watching.
It was for the sort of, I guess they were saying it was kind of like a wonder medication.
You're like, give yourself this medication.
I'm like, oh, yeah, okay, all good.
And then suddenly the side effects came in.
I was like, oh, okay, have a listen.
Do not take if you are allergic to its ingredients.
B.C.
Can cause your immune system to attack healthy parts of your body during or after treatment.
This may be severe and lead to death.
See your doctor right away if you have cough, shortness of breath, chest pain, diarrhea,
severe stomach pain, nausea or vomiting, headache, eye problems, irregular heartbeat, extreme tiredness,
constipation, dizziness or fainting, changes in apache.
I have all that stuff now.
And then it just keep going.
Thirst or urine.
Confusion.
Memory problems.
Persistent or severe muscle pain or weakness.
Muscle cramps.
fever, rash, itching or flushing.
There may be other side effects.
Tell your doctor about all medical conditions,
including immune or nervous system problems,
such as Crohn's, ulcerative colitis,
lupus, or myasenia cravice, or Guillembray syndrome,
an organ, tissue or stem cell transplant,
or receive chest radiation.
Wow.
Is there a part of your body that it didn't cover?
It may also harm your unborn baby.
It may end as well.
It's like, wow, that's just like everything.
Well, you don't have to worry about that, Ben.
Yeah, but I was like, oh my God.
And then it popped back in with a,
and the lady comes back in the end of us,
You're all happy again.
Like just ignore that last 45 seconds.
It was like 45 seconds of just like non-stop.
That is full ass covering mode, isn't it?
It is. It's beautiful.
But I love instead of saying these are the possible side effects,
it said, go and see your doctor if you get such and such.
This, this.
I'm like, I think the only thing it didn't touch was you're like fingers and toes.
That is, yeah, it gives you a little bit of anxiety about taking whatever that is.
Yeah. I like it when it's on the really small writing of the box.
You don't have to deal with it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
They did chuck death right at the top, though.
Yeah, I know.
It's a big player.
That's a big banger, right?
Yeah, you're right.
They could have gone with the shortness of breath.
Yeah, a rash.
Just sort of mumble your way through it.
They should cough through the big ones.
You're right.
Death.
Did he just so dead.
I'm that.
Diarrant.
Diarrant.
