The John O'Ben and Megan podcast, thanks to Dilma.
Goodness really does taste great.
Dilma, making the world a better team.
We're talking earlier, though, about the longest queue that you've waited in.
A lot of Kiwis trying to buy tickets these days, particularly Olivia Dean yesterday.
A lot of frustration people not getting through.
Also, when I got to the end of the queue, it's like when it counts down and you're about to get led into the sort of holding area of the lobby, nothing happened.
And that was frustrating, too, because you're like, I can't refresh.
He says, don't refresh.
but you're just waiting there
and the screen is just not doing it.
It's not doing it.
It hasn't moved forward.
The little, you know,
the little countdown thing
it's coming down.
You know,
the bars.
You're like,
I'm there.
And then it's just nothing.
I don't know,
producer Troy,
did you,
he was trying to get tickets as well yesterday.
Did you have the same thing happen
when you finally got through
and the little,
the little black bar counted all the way down
and then it just did nothing?
And then it's nothing.
And then it's held there
and you're like,
I'm not about to refresh,
but I want to refresh.
Yeah.
I want to refresh it.
How long does it do nothing for?
Well, it felt, I feel like a few minutes for me.
For me, it stayed like that until I lost patience and gave up.
Oh, did you just, right, because all you can think about is all the other people getting their tickets is you're waiting like a schmuck on this blank screen.
I know.
So we're talking about the longest lines that people have waited and we've got a great text that came through.
Yeah, crazy text.
I was waiting to buy tickets for a Korean K-pop group for three days.
What?
Three days.
I had to drive around with my laptop in the car.
I had to take my laptop to work and keep checking the line.
It's because the scalpers released bots into the queue, and that's why it took so long.
But yeah, three days.
That is some persistence.
Would you have waited three days on a screen that said, don't refresh?
Would you have done that?
No, no, but if I knew I was going to get through, yeah, I would.
But, yeah, I would.
That's like a baby.
You're like carrying a child around with you.
What's the bot thing, though?
but you sure you're not across the stuff well i just learned you've got glasses on you've got
nerd i'm no expert but i heard about this yesterday but people can buy a bot which will hold the place
of a thousand people or computers in the line it'll basically generate like a thousand fake computers
they will hold a thousand spots in that line and then when one of those bots gets to the front of the
line it'll ping you and be like you're ready and then i come in as a human and do the are you a human test
test. Which you found difficult yesterday because it was one I hadn't had before.
It was like picking shapes in the colours. And it was like what order are these shapes in the picture?
Yes. And it was kind of their upside down and all sort of blended in.
Click the smiley face and it was blue and purple with all the colors. And I was like, I can't see it. I'm colourblind.
But not a robot, but colourblind.
Does that out?
Would you tick that? Would you tick that?
I couldn't tick that.
She's, that's an ultimate hack. How much you both? How much for one of these box?
Apparently it's like 30 bucks a month.
Oh, geez. I hope that doesn't.
catch on. Let's not talk about that too, mate.
We're not getting agents soon.
That's what all the future of shopping is.
You're just going to have an agent that'll do,
which is quite nice. Like, all the
stress you went through yesterday. Imagine not having
to deal with it. Some robots.
You're like, robot. Give me two seconds.
Yeah, robots taking all that on. The robot's staying awake at night.
He's like, God, don't know what to do. Should I refresh?
I don't know. Don't know. Don't refresh.
Not my problem. I'm paying you 30 bucks a month.
John O'Bin and Megan.
The podcast.
The Hats.
Now, Megan, over to you. You're away yesterday.
Yes.
I was lucky enough to be invited by the Toyota team
to the launch of GR racing
and they've got the Yarris,
they've got the Corolla,
they've got a bunch of very cool
racy cars that people can just use on the road.
You know it to drive in a corolla?
We had a corolla in the car for decades.
They just keep, they don't die.
Yeah, keep going.
Like us in radio, they just don't die the corolla.
Now we kept saying yesterday on the show,
Megan's Away racing,
and our boss in Australia, Craig, he thought it was a joke.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah. We're like, no, no, she was actually racing cars.
Oh, no, he knows he loves cars, but we just thought that, yeah.
She's off racing, trying to be a race driver.
And he's like, okay.
What's she really doing?
I was like, no, what she's doing?
Now, Ben thought it might be a little too late to start your motor racing career.
Well, yes, it is.
I did ask.
I was like, what's the age limit for, like, the training?
And, yeah, it was considerably younger than me.
Yeah, not good for your heart.
But I did, shut up.
I'm just, I know you're going to, I'm about to be ripped for a whole lot of things in this break,
but I'm just going to like power through.
So I went to Hampton Downs and it's always been a dream.
You know that I've wanted to do a hot lap forever.
I've never managed to do it.
And I finally, when I was there, I got to do two over the weekend.
So you got to drive around?
I got to drive.
It wasn't a weekend.
It was the middle of the week.
You took time off for work for those two.
I keep saying weekends.
Stop trying to slide this into the weekend.
I can say the weekend.
Not use your day's annual leave.
It felt like it.
But yeah, I got to race cars around Hampton Downs.
And I actually got a nickname over those two days.
I was there with, it was a lot of males.
It's a male-dominated sport.
So I felt very lucky to be there.
There was three of us women there.
And so when I got to race the cars,
there was one point where you had to do like a handbrake
and spin around the cones on.
Hampton Downs race track and I was like very nervous to do it in front of everyone.
Oh, and a little bit of break here.
Yeah, nice job.
This is me driving.
Power on and break.
Nice.
Left side of the tower and hambrack.
That was me doing my handbrakee.
I managed to smoke.
I smoked the tires.
Got smoke out of the tires?
And I'm repeating what was told to me but I did the best.
I did the best out of everyone.
And they started calling me handbrake.
And I was like, oh my God.
Is your nickname handbrake?
My nickname's handbrake.
The most flattering nickname I think you can give a woman.
In a good way.
Is handbrake a good thing?
Is Andrew you going to start calling your handbrake now?
Do you know age's husband used to call me like the fun police?
So it's pretty close to a handbrake.
Oh, a bit of a handbrake.
Yeah.
But then I was the only one who got told to slow down during a slalom bit.
the instructor was like, you just slow down.
So I felt pretty cool.
I definitely held my own in front of the guys.
But I did get to do a hot lap with...
With Racing Ryan.
Ryan Wood.
Ryan Wood.
The Ryan Wood.
Racing.
Now we've watched some video of you and Ryan Wood interacting.
Speaking of Hot Laps.
You can play it if you want.
It's me.
I got him to record something.
Producer Grace has accused you of some top-tier flirting here.
There's been lip-biting, sort of caressing of Racy Ryan's chest.
I don't know what else went on, but anyway, yeah.
Here we are.
Ryan, can you please tell the guys how good I was at racing?
I wouldn't call it racing.
I'd call it fast driving.
It was pretty impressive, I must say.
You didn't even see me drive.
I didn't.
You just told me to say all this.
You're such a lie.
Listen to the giggling.
I never giggled like that with us, is he?
No.
She sort of, and then she pushes his chest away.
She's like, get out of here.
Ryan is also giggling.
We'd spend a lot of time at the table.
A lot of giggling.
We'd just had like a two-hour dinner and we've been roasting each other the whole time.
Excuse me?
We're just like good mates.
All right, have a break.
All right, have right.
I'm going to call you giggles.
I've definitely touched you before, Ben.
Like, I hit you.
Not like that.
Not like that.
No, Ben and Megan.
The podcast.
The Hits.
earlier this morning, but this is the audio
of a couple of Kiwi birds fighting
on Stewart Island.
Really making a lot more noise than I thought they would,
right?
It reminds me of your lovemaking.
Now, a couple of weeks ago,
we were talking about my cousin
in Australia. She,
great news, had a baby with her partner,
but had taken about six weeks
before they decided on.
You were tracking all this on the family WhatsApp group.
Well, I was.
I was like, because I congratulated them when it happened.
And then, yeah, it was a wee while later.
They were like, hey, we've now got a name.
And I was like, oh, geez, that's been a while.
So I went back, did the mess.
It was about six weeks.
Yeah, and we did get talking about the longest time it's taking you to name a baby.
There's a cutoff, isn't there?
Is it like eight weeks or something?
Yeah, I think it is a couple of months or something.
Yeah, there were a couple of people knocking on the door of that eight week limit.
Yeah, but we spoke to Dave.
And actually in Hindu culture,
They've got a bit of a tradition on how they name babies, which takes a while.
The name of the baby gets decided by your birth chart.
So that birth chart has to happen after three moon cycles.
So, yeah, 45 days.
45 days it takes in Hindu culture.
So I believe we've got Dave Beck on the phone.
Yeah, you're absolutely right.
Yeah, yeah.
I don't know if you remember.
But towards the end of the conversation,
Megan actually said that,
hey, can we retrospectively try and find that out for Jono?
Oh, what my Hindu name would be?
Oh, yeah, what is his name?
Yeah, the initial letter for your name.
And so I went online,
and you told me that you were born at around 8 a.m. in the morning
on the 13th of November 19X.
Let's just not let those words know.
Also, according to Wikipedia, you were born in Seattle.
That's right.
In the United States.
Yeah, he's really done some deep digging.
Trust me, that explains so much.
Anyway, we went in and we called our family astrologer, and we gave him the details.
So basically the three main details that we need.
Oh, wow, you went to a lot of it.
Yeah, it's all right.
That's what we do for the family, right?
Oh, that's a lovely day.
You're part of the family now, Jono.
Well, done.
Is this astrologer on like a celery with your family?
We take donation.
So we gave him your date of birth.
We gave him your time of birth,
when we gave him your place of birth.
And it basically, so there are the four letters that comes out,
is V, so V-I, V-U, V-U, me, am I, or Mu?
Vivo Mimu?
Yeah, one of, yeah, you can choose.
Oh, you can choose one of them all.
Four letters.
So like, Varat Koli, whatever, like you could have used the VI for it to start that off.
Exactly, exactly.
We, yeah.
Yeah, so we're not.
Yeah.
I mean, you could combine them all together, I guess.
I don't know.
Does anyone else do that?
Not particularly, not particularly.
But, hey, John is one of a kind, right?
Yeah, exactly.
He's a rule breaker.
Yeah.
Yes.
Vibu-Bimu.
Vibu.
Vimu.
The rose of the tongue as well.
Vibu Mimu.
Dave, thank you so much, mate.
I really appreciate you following that up too, buddy.
No way.
John O'Bin and Megan.
The podcast.
The hits.
Dean, coming to New Zealand in October.
Spark Arena was the original venue.
It's now been moved to a bigger venue,
Western Springs Bowl.
And yesterday...
The first of the pre-sales went up yesterday, and for many Kiwis,
and it was just, oh, geez, they make it a full-on experience trying to buy tickets on pre-sale.
They do.
It's a really high-stressed pressure cooker environment they've made there for everybody.
We used sort of 65,000th in the queue.
And you get put through to a waiting room yesterday because...
Do you refresh all the time?
No, they say they don't refresh.
Don't refresh.
Don't refer.
All your instincts are saying refresh.
I know.
I know.
How did you resist refreshing?
Well, yesterday, just to add a bit more, because I was, like, many Kiwis,
desperate to try and buy tickets to go along to the show.
I've been talking about it for a while.
I'm like, okay, I've got all the codes and all the things.
I've signed up for every Olivia Dean, like, fan club and whatever.
So I'm good to go.
You can spam to Olivia Dean content?
Yeah, lots of it.
See, I can buy all the sorts of merch and stuff.
The inbox is filled up.
Anyway, so I was ready for that, but then at the same time,
my daughter and I were going to try and catch a plane.
We'd been booked on a plane for a little thing.
we had to do. So that was a 10 past 12 plane trip when the tickets would go and sell at 12.
So I'm like, oh-oh.
That's not working.
This is going to be very tight.
So the whole Uber ride out, I had the laptop and it was hot spotting.
I'm like, 11 o'clock.
I'm on.
I'm waiting to get into the room.
So how is 11 o'clock at the time that you're allowed to jump at?
12 o'clock.
And then at 12 o'clock, everyone will get let through.
Oh, but you just sit there and 11th.
I just sit, yeah, counting down the minutes.
You're waiting outside the gates.
And I'm like, see it, do not close the laptop.
So we're at the airport and we're doing this
and then we get to the airport.
Was the Uber driver invested in your...
No, I don't know if he was.
I was sort of, no.
They spend a lot of time just talking to their mates on their Bluetooth AirPods, don't they?
That's fine.
That's what they do.
And then we get to the airport and then we found out that our plane had been...
Some people get upgraded if they're lucky.
We got downgraded.
I've never been downgraded on a plane.
That's a true.
They're like, your plane's been downgraded from a big plane to a small plane.
I'm like, okay.
And you're not on it.
Surprise.
It's just like in the tour
So we're like, oh, what does that mean?
And they're like, we can put you on a later flight
and I'm like, well, that's not we're going to work
for the work thing we were doing.
And they're like, we can go on standby
and with other people just waiting to see if
other pissed off passengers standing around.
So you're like, okay, we'll give that a go.
So I'm bang on 12 o'clock.
I'm there having conversations with people
at the front of the thing to try and get on this plane as well.
My daughter, Siena's trying to get on for the tickets as well.
She's sort of saying stuff at the same time going.
Is she a safe?
pair of hands buying tickets online.
Not bad.
I mean, she probably knows technically, but at the same time it's all, you know, she's going,
we're through, we're through, trying to get these ones.
I'm like, I don't know.
I'm talking about the plane right now.
So you're both trying to get tickets to two separate events at the same time.
Probably look like at the airport that she was trying to buy plane tickets for something else.
She's like, yeah, there's not enough money in your account.
I'm like, this is, just do it again.
You know, like, yeah.
So finally we got through and we managed to get tickets.
To be honest, I don't know what section we originally bought for, but we got some tickets.
But I think producer Troy was the same
I felt like a lot of Kiwis though
It was frustrating because you don't know where you're going to end up in the queue
As well no matter how early
So when's 12 o'clock kicks over you just chucked into a spot
It's like the lobby
You're like you're like do you have to convince them
You're not a robot before you're in that position?
Yeah do you have that producer Troy?
I had three things with shapes
And you had to pick the order of the shine
That one before I was like oh
Really? It does it does make your question
Yeah doesn't it?
You're like oh this shape and then that shape
The traffic light one the wavy traffic light one
but yeah, but I've had that one before, yeah.
So three times you said, I am not a proponent.
And they're like, well, to reward you for that,
we are going to put you 19,000 from the queue.
So we got tickets for Livie Dene,
we did not get tickets for the plane.
So in the end, we didn't get on that flight at all.
So we got back into the Uber and the guy was like,
how was your trip?
Well, we didn't go anywhere.
Like, we literally did not go anywhere.
But we could get some tickets.
No, no, it was just one of those things.
You're like, we should have just said fine.
Yeah.
He's like, this doesn't affect me in anywhere at all.
airport and then we went
John O'Ben and Megan
The podcast
The Hits
Ah gee whiz,
sorry, we'll just recap Olivia Dean
too.
We're doing a competition
called Baby Steps
for Take Steps
to 4487
How many steps you think it took
Baby Steps you think it took Ben
to Baby Step as well
around Western Springs
The venue of
Leading's concert
You look elderly
I do
shuffling my way along there
Yeah I did
It looks a long time
To get across rugby fields
At around a lake
With a lot of birds
That Ben guy really aged.
A lot of tech is coming through 4,750 steps, 4,396 steps.
You said over 2,000.
Yeah, over 2,000.
Okay.
I'll give you more close throughout the morning.
Okay.
It was a frightening.
I'm about to get absolutely roasted by you too because I do take the lift.
I park downstairs, I get the lift up.
What's it like?
I've heard of this mode of transport.
It takes you from one level to...
The basement.
Yeah, right.
To where we work.
Sounds incredible.
What is this future transport you speak of?
I do feel bad for you guys when it's like pouring with rain
and you're all coming in looking like drowned rats.
Don't worry, mate.
Don't feel that bad, too.
Better class of broadcaster gets to park in the building.
So this morning, we've had an email from the lovely Joe
who looks after everything around here
and she warned us that one of the lifts,
the lifts are all getting repaired.
She's the backbone of this operation, Joe.
She is.
and so one at a time the lifts will be out of action.
So it's lift one at the moment and I got into lift two this morning.
So not the one being worked on.
But when I got in, I was not filled with confidence.
This is the sound coming from the lift.
That's not your lift.
There's a lift beside me.
I'm like, what an upgrade?
What are they doing to it?
That's not the soundtrack you want.
No.
And then I was like, I really hope it's just that lift and not my one.
Good prank, though.
Good prank does he get into the old lift well and just bang, back, back.
Yeah.
But it started once I'd got it and I was like, I probably would have.
No, I wouldn't have taken the stairs.
No, never walks in high heels up her stairs.
No, yeah, yeah.
The stairs are an option, but anyway, not for you.
Okay, 0800 of the hits.
4487 on the text, actually.
The world's most frightening lift rides.
Have you been in, I mean, they are when you think about it.
You don't want to think too hard about going to a lift.
No, it's not really why my daughter's, Indy.
She really, that's one of her big things.
She just does not like it.
And I'll be like, it's fine.
And we've been in a lift where it's gone, chunk.
And the lights have shut and we've stopped.
And I'm like, it's fine, it's fine.
But ever since then, it's really hard to keep saying it's fine.
I hate when you're the parent and you're freaking out.
You have to be like, it's fine.
It's fine.
It's just smoke screening the fact that everyone's terrified at the moment.
Maybe we should acknowledge it.
Okay, so 4-4-8-7.
Have you been trapped in a lift for hours?
Producer Troy, he will get his story on.
Oh, yeah.
That's terrifying.
What's how many, eight other strangers?
How long was he stuck in there?
John O'Bin and Megan.
The podcast.
The hats.
I was caught on camera yesterday,
unintentionally as well,
and it's something that I'd like to warn others about, too.
Just got to be a little bit careful.
So I was parked just outside waiting for my daughter,
just side of the road.
stuff and another vehicle pulled in front.
Yeah.
And they were reversing back towards me.
Right.
Are you in like a proper park?
Yeah, just a parallel park.
Yeah, just like a side the road park.
I wasn't in a loading zone or yellow lines or anything.
Okay, so.
Lexi.
I like the loading zones because I'm like, what justifies loading?
What does justify?
Like if I'm a vehicle that has goods.
Yeah.
But if I have.
You're not a goods and service vehicle.
putting goods into my vehicle
from anyone. I don't think that
technically. My friend used to say if you put the back
seats down, it's fine. I don't
think that works either. Just print
you know how like some
vans and stuff have temporary couriers
Yeah, I think it's for couriers.
They should just say couriers and yeah like
Yeah, just think of that. But put your
seats down and put one of the prints.
Print one of those for the front seat.
Seats down hazards on one of those. It's a really good
hack. But yeah, no, I was just in a normal part.
And so there was a vehicle in front and it had pulled
it and it was reversing towards me and it was coming in.
I mean, I'm a reckless driver,
but it was coming at me at quite a rate of nights.
Coming in hot.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And it got to the point where the vehicle was really close to my car.
And I know, I pulled a face.
I went, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
You know that?
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa face.
And then they parked and then they kind of pulled a bit further forward.
So there was a gap between both vehicles.
And then the motorists got out.
And she's like, I'm sorry, did I get close to you?
And I'm like, I just tried to play it off.
And I was like, oh, no, no, I didn't notice anything.
She's like, well, that's not what your face was saying on my reversing camera.
Caught on a reversing camera.
That's what I was going to say is you don't really need to worry anymore
because most cars have those little reversing senses.
I didn't know that, though.
I didn't know if she's got a beep, beep, beep, beep, beep.
Yeah, really loud.
Really fast.
And my face is going, yeah.
So yeah, caught in real time
So she did it
She did apologize
She's like, I saw the fear in your eyes
I was like, yeah, I did it.
But when you're lying,
she knew I was lying
Yeah, yeah
I was just trying to, anyway
Just a warning to those out there
If someone's reversing towards you
They're probably filming you
Monsters
John O'Ben and Megan
The podcast
That
Megan,
Watching you discover something
This morning on your Facebook timeline
Has been priceless
I do not know
how I've never thought about this.
But there was, so I have a group chat with all of,
they're our friends, but technically Andrew's friends.
So they're all 10 years younger than me, like my husband is.
Do you blend in?
Yeah.
Shut up.
I'm just asking.
Sound like a loaded question, isn't it?
It also feels like a question that maybe you should ask them.
Like I feel like I do, but maybe, I don't know.
But it's always like when you're new to a group of friends,
you want to know that you, you know, you fit.
like a glove.
Well, I love them.
I think they're great.
Good, good people.
And we have some banter.
They put up a picture of all of them at Andrew's 16th birthday party.
And they were like, look how young we all were.
And then my husband was like,
Megan was 26 at this time.
I wonder what she's doing.
Oh, so he's unnecessarily fired a shot.
Yeah, because he thinks it's hilarious.
So I...
Can we say, yeah, because, oh, well, you were going to explain you guys.
We're not, you didn't even know each other at that stage.
No, we didn't know each other.
We did not know each other at that time.
So he was like, I want to watch he was doing.
I went back and I looked on my timeline on his sweet 16th birthday,
what the picture was.
And it was from my wedding.
You were getting married.
So I was getting married.
The same day, as he was celebrating his 16th birthday.
Yeah, and then the banter is, well, everyone had cake on that day.
True.
Yep.
Someone said.
oh Andrew said two parties
one could have been an email
Yeah
My wedding
16 birthday probably gonna be an email too
Yeah
Yeah so that's
I mean that's funny
I mean maybe it was all meant to be
It was all in this day
You were meant to marry that 16 year old
And to be fair
Later in line
Later in life
When he was of a man
A man
Yeah
So 26 is quite young to be getting married
You know, the first time round.
Well, yeah.
These days that kind of has is.
Yeah.
It's good rehearsal.
Yeah.
Good dress rehearsal.
Did you, how many people at that wedding?
Was it a big, big banger?
The first one, like over 100.
Wow, big numbers.
Yeah.
Second one, like 40.
Do people, you'd learn your lesson.
Yeah.
You'd learn your lesson.
So, obviously, the large majority of people who attended your first one, you didn't want back for the second.
I think I had like three.
Three people that weren't family.
from who attended both
yeah wow yeah crazy
would you invite those people to a third wedding
no no okay
would we be invited to
it's a snapshot in time yeah you guys come to a third wedding
well it depends of the
talking like it's going to be a thing
well you never know
I'm still perfecting it you know
and then we'll be looking back at someone else's
kids photos
oh thank you
good
high school photos
we get a whole new friend group we can integrate ourselves
into
All right, enough of that.
John O'Benn and Megan.
The podcast.
The Hits.
Come along and get in one of my costumes to try and save them so we can put them to good use.
It'll be great to have you along.
I'm trying to decide what costume to wear.
And producer grace has taken some photos, put it up on the Hits Breakfast story.
None of them.
You can text a costume to 4487 if you want to vote on which costume I wear.
You realize you've got a microphone in front of your face.
We can hear your sarcasm.
What was that one you sent to the group?
Or someone sent to the group chat.
It was an upside down clown.
Like, what is wrong with you?
That's a good one.
That's the one that I think I hope wins.
Because the thing is, I'm not upside down.
It just looks like I'm upside down.
But where do you see out of?
It's actually quite visible.
It's clever we invention that one.
So describe it.
It grosses me out how it's like jazzed you are about it.
It's inflatable, but it looks like an inflatable clowns,
but it looks like the clown's doing a handstander walking on its hands.
But then in real life, it looks like your face is in the clown's groin.
I'm just standing normally.
That's the beauty.
That's the beauty.
I can walk along, but it'll look like the clown is...
We get it.
Is going along, you know?
Did you see the comment our boss made with that photo?
What?
She was like, what?
You've got a problem.
Who said that?
Have you used that caution?
Our boss, carry it.
Like, you definitely have a problem.
Don't get defensive about that.
Have you used that for any purpose?
Someone said nightmare fuel.
Yep.
Someone took the Lord's name in vain.
Yeah.
I'm not even religious that I feel comfortable reading that out.
Someone else said that's effing cool.
That's amazing.
No, that was Troy.
Yeah, that's great.
I'm with you, Troy.
Thank you, Troy.
Have you answered the question?
Have you ever used that costume?
Briefly, but it's, it's,
but not for anything special like this, Megan.
Well, you can vote for what costume Ben's going to wear
at the Hitsbreakfast.com.
It's not up yet on the pole.
Hopefully no one pulls a muscle
while doing our 27 metre shortest parade in the world.
That was a tie into the phone topic we're about to engage with.
Karen, morning to you.
Happy New Year.
Happy New Year.
There's a bloody roller coaster this morning, Kaz.
How did you pull a muscle?
We're just in the most mundane fashion.
So on Saturday I was just gardening for a couple hours,
and I was sort of twisting quite a lot,
and then I sneezed and did a muscle between my ribs.
Oh!
And it was so painful.
I was up pretty much all night.
It had on Sunday to wake my neighbour at 7 a.m.
To take me down to Tara, because we live a bit out of terror on it.
Oh, no, just from a sneeze.
I sat there for four hours and got some coating.
yeah.
And your intercostal muscle?
I don't know what is, down the lower ribs,
down on the left side,
and every time you cough,
it's just, oh my God, it's so painful.
I don't know what's worse, Karen.
You're one or someone who's text through Jade
has just texted saying,
I used to work as a bartender,
and one day I was shaking a cocktail.
And you know what ever next?
Tora muscle doing the back muscle.
Oh, she was really shaking.
It was, Jay.
Damn.
And you look so cool when you're doing that.
But you're like, oh, geez.
Oh, that's unfortunate.
I appreciate you call, Karen.
Corey, great to have you on, mate.
We're hanging on tenterhawks, my friend.
What muscle did you hurt?
Good morning.
I can actually do better than that.
I did a disc injury.
So it was quite severe.
It was a week after my wedding.
We couldn't quite get away on a honeymoon.
We thought we have a little date night.
So I did it doing a paint by numbers.
What?
What?
What?
Like, basically colouring in.
You injured yourself.
Yeah, pretty much.
Yeah, so what I did was I slightly bent and the disc went.
The disc went?
You slightly beat?
Completely went.
I could, yep.
I was at maybe not even a 45 degree angle and it just completely went.
And I couldn't move, couldn't get up for about half an hour and it was about three months of recovery.
Oh my goodness.
And explaining that to people like the boss, like what did you do?
You're doing something physical?
It's like, no, I just slightly bent over.
You need to make up another story for that.
Was your partner with you?
Yeah, yeah, she was right next to me.
She was very shocked at what happened.
She tried to type me up and I was like,
disoomede me, just leave me.
You just got married.
She's like, this is definitely the full better
or this definitely the worst part.
But she's like, wait, what did you do?
What did you do?
Oh, my God.
