Jono and Ben's Great Cheese Roll Trick Yeah, so they originated in Invercargill, the cheese roll, invented in the 1930s and has become a delicacy. And we're trying to get one to Producer Taylor, Australian Producer Taylor. An authentic one from, made in Invercargill. We couldn't get down there ourselves, so we're like, well let's bring the cheese roll up to Producer Taylor through your help. Do you want to come in here Producer Taylor, mate, have a little chat? Who knew there was so many logistics involved in transporting a cheese roll

from one end of the country to the other? You feel like we're teetering on expiration date, and you're not wanting to eat the roll if it goes past when? Today. Today's the cut-off. So we're starting to get a little bit worried because we had great momentum, we got picked up in Bacargo, we're starting to get a little bit worried because, you know, we had great momentum.

We got picked up in Bacargo, headed to Queenstown, went to the airport there, got picked up yesterday by Brent, who was flying to Auckland. And we're like, great. This is ideal. It'll be here. And so then we're like, well, no one can meet Brent at the airport. So why don't we try and organise a shop at the airport? In hindsight, we should have probably met him at the airport. Yeah, we probably would have been a lot easier. You're right. All right. So it's arriving at Auckland Airport. We're just wondering if the person who's bringing it can leave it with you and we pick it up from you. Sounds a bit dodgy, but it's not dodgy. You're welcome to look inside the package and everything as well. All right. We haven't done that.

I'm not sure if you're allowed to do that. Oh, yeah. There's some legalities around that. Yeah, I don't want to get into any more trouble at the airport that's for sure yeah how big is the box it's just a little chili bag you know why don't you put a little cold food in very tight very small you can zip it up you can open it and stuff and check it check it out i'm not particularly sure and if we are allowed actually you know what the more we're talking the more i'm like i don't want to like i'm gonna back out of this one you know what? End of the year. Financial year. I mean, this is extra information you probably don't need to know. But we're being honest. Transparent. This is why we can't get there. And so, in fact, we can't do anything. We haven't decided to do nothing other than stay in the studio and get the cheese roll to us.

Because we could have gone to pick it up at the airport yesterday. Because Brent was going through. We tried to organize some places to hold on to it temporarily, didn't we? Yeah, so we phoned Three Wise Men, the shirt and tie shop that you see at most domestic airports to see if they'd hold on to it. All right, we haven't done that. I'm not sure if you're allowed to do that.

So we decided not to get somewhere to leave it at the airport. Just sounded sketchy, even though it's not, right? Yeah, I mean, I don't think they take too kindly to just the random suspicious packages just sitting there.

So we've managed to track down Brent. Last we heard, he was flying from Queenstown to Auckland. He had a conference to get to. Brent, you there? Yes, how are you? Yeah, we're good. We're good. How are you going?

Good, but there's no one here to pick up the cheese roll. No, no, there isn't. Well, we did try and leave it to, we tried to negotiate with Three Wise Men, the shirt shop in the domestic airport. And then we realised that leaving it at the airport just sounds kind of sketchy. Yeah, the more we spoke to the fine man at Three Wise Men,

he was a wise man. And he decided, no, maybe this isn't the best decision. And we agreed. Perhaps he's wiser than I am. Yeah, well, you picked up something from another airport. But anyway, and now you have it with you. You've still got, so you're what, the cheese roll? You've still got that cheese roll with you?

Yeah, absolutely, yeah. And where have you headed now? In Taupo. Oh, so you're in Taupo. It was in Auckland. Now it's dog legs down to Taupo. Oh, my goodness. Producer Taylor, this is not what you want to Topol. It was in Auckland. Now it's dog-legged down to Topol. Oh, my goodness.

They've done more than enough. They've taken it up further, well, to where it needed to go, and then back south again. And you have. You've lived up to your side of the bargain, Brett. You're right. We just wanted it in the North Island. And it's here.

Okay, well, so could you leave it somewhere in Taupo for us? Yeah, absolutely, yeah. Okay, let's try and do that. Not an airport. Somewhere we could leave it, and then we'll try and see if someone can take it up. Why don't you leave it out on the golf, the hole-in-one golf thing on the lake?

Okay, can we remember someone's still going to eat this? I'm going to have to get out there yeah and then someone has to swim out and get it oh i had the pontoon thing the pontoon thing yeah brent well thank you for your part in the journey you've you've lived up to your end of the bargain not a problem thank you very much could you have left it in auckland maybe but hey it's not it's not uh yeah hopefully i'll get here tomorrow, maybe, or Monday. Okay, so it's in Taupo, so we need to get the cheese roll from Taupo North, right? So if anyone can help us, spanner in the works, spanner in the cheesy works. We've got an unaccompanied package, which is fair enough. So Brent we got a hold of. So he went to Auckland. Then he had to drive to Taupo for his conference. So it's in Taupo right now, and we need some help. And I think we've got someone on the line.
