Taylor Swift, she's decided that she doesn't have enough of our money.
So she's going to get some more of our cash tomorrow when she releases a new single or singles.
What is it?
Yeah, multiple singles.
It's a bonus edition of The Life of a Showgirl.
And so this is called The Life of Showgirl, The Encore.
And it includes four new songs, Patient Zero, Cleveland, Pink Clouding and Babylon.
Very excited of that.
There's going to be a new video out, I think, on Monday, American Time.
with Colin Farrell and Dakota Johnson in there as well.
Yeah, maybe she looked at her bank account
and she was like, my bloody multi-millionaire football playing
husband's been mooching off me.
These numbers are looking embarrassing.
I need to top things up.
But she's like famous for Easter eggs and stuff
and it seems like this has been in the works for a while
because for the Opelite video
and it contained the phrase,
Patient for the Encore.
So the encore is the album
and Patient Zero is the lead single.
Problem of their Easter eggs is they're too deep.
They're too...
And everyone looks into other stuff that isn't Easter eggs.
Yeah.
She blew her nose.
Does that mean she's going to blow us out of the water
with a brand new single next year?
That's very exciting though.
Her first single, well, her first single since she was no longer single,
since she was married.
Yeah.
And actually, apparently that's kind of the theme of it.
So the life of the showgirl was about being, you know, performing.
This is all about what happens kind of if she stops fighting and just enjoys life.
That's what everyone is thinking.
King. Now she has teamed up
with someone who's... I don't know
much about this person, but I should
because I know so many songs that this person
has produced. Max Martin,
he's a Swedish producer
and he costs a lot
of money. A hundred thousand dollars
down payment if you want to go
and write a song with him.
Because it's what, guaranteed to be
a top ten hit. He is the
hugest back catalogue. He's the
IKEA of music. Yeah.
He's worth like half a billion dollars.
So what's some of the hits that he's made before?
Like, got some?
Brittany.
Wow.
Heard of this one?
Yeah.
Have you heard of this one?
Go ahead of this one, Ben.
How about this one, Ben?
Kay Perry.
Wow.
He's done a few.
He's also done.
The weekend.
She's prolific.
So he's the one, remember everyone's like, what does Hit Me Baby about?
And he was the one who doesn't really understand English that well.
So he kind of came up with Hit Me Baby, meaning call.
And also he's the one who's responsible for instincts.
It's going to be May.
When Justin Timberlake was like, it's going to be me.
And he's like, no, just say May.
Trust me, it sounds better.
It's going to be May.
Well, he's right.
Does sound better.
Hit Me Baby one more time.
I did not get that that was a phone call-based song.
No.
Yeah.
I got a whole other connotation from that song.
Yeah.
Well done, Max.
And so the ones that he's done with Taylor in the past,
it's a pretty big baggers, right?
Yeah.
So how much?
How much does we get a crowd fund if we want to get a single with him?
So $100,000 is the down payment for one single,
but then you'll end up paying $300,000 to a million for one song.
Maybe that's why the encore is just four songs.
Yeah, she can't afford it.
It's too pricey.
I wonder if he could polish our turd if we send something Max's way.
We probably could make.
You don't even give people prizes.
How are we going to afford Max Market?
Inya, it's lovely to have you back on the show.
How are you?
Good morning.
It's been a while.
It has been a while.
Now, you are one of New Zealand's biggest Taylor Swift fans.
We've spoken to you a few times.
You've got all sorts of Taylor Swift memorabilia, almost like a shrine to her, right?
Yeah, sure.
I've got a room.
You've got a room.
I always mean that the bad way.
It's really cool.
You've even got a bird cage that she made, a birdhouse?
A bird house?
Yeah, yep, that's the one.
Yeah.
Have you added to your memorabilia collection of Taylor Swift since we last spoke, Enia?
Look, I added this morning.
She just dropped a couple of vinyl for the new single.
Oh, so you've got that, you've ordered that already.
Yeah, yeah.
That's incredible.
I don't have them, but they're on order, yep.
They're on the way.
Can I just ask you, does Shrine have negative connotations?
Yeah, maybe it did.
I didn't mean that to, Athena.
It kind of means, like, you're lighting candles and, you know, like being...
Like, you're Liam Lawson's shrine.
Yeah, yeah.
So, Enya, you must be very excited.
Yeah, always.
Talk to us as a Swifty.
Why?
Oh, her music just relates and there's always, she always keeps us guessing.
So I just don't know what to expect ever.
So, yeah, with like the sound of this new, new music,
obviously there's just been a little snippet out so far.
It's called Patient Zero and it's going to be on a.
an encore album of The Life of a Showgirls, so four extra songs.
That's the first single.
What do we know about Patience Zero?
Like what do the Swifties think it's about?
Honestly, I don't think anyone really knows.
Obviously, the video clip, because she's releasing a music video with it,
it will be Monday Out of Time.
It looks like a movie.
Yeah, yeah.
Well, it's got Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell in it.
Yeah.
Do you think, so someone did mention yesterday,
in our meeting that do you think it's
she's going to admit she was the first
person to have COVID?
I think you've nailed
it on the head right there.
Thank you. I thought so.
Thought so.
And so then there's another three tracks
we understand, Enia?
Yeah, yeah.
And one of them, there's even a little
speculation that
it's very far-fetched.
But everything is
that Ariana Grande might be on it.
Which one's that?
Pink clouding.
Okay, pink clouding is apparently like pink cloud is used to describe like a euphoria,
euphoria moment, like when you're like first in love, like the honeymoon phase and everything.
You know what it really impresses me in this day and age that she manages to keep all this away from the public?
Yeah.
Like keep it quite secret.
Yeah.
Yeah, you're right.
He's always the odd lake.
We're trying to avoid them that.
Yeah.
No, we're just talking earlier, you know, everyone's got their thing they're into.
I've talked about how much I love the Warriors
but then sometimes I'll get to an end of a Warriors game
and go hey they didn't play their best
can you do the same with Taylor Swift songs
can you listen to one and go
it's not a best
sometimes when I start and then
after a few listens
it always grows
okay so there's not
one Taylor Swift song that you don't like
obviously you'd like more than others
but there's not one that you like that's a terrible song
no not terrible
is there one that you will always skip
No
Wow
That's impressive
How many songs
Has she written over her career
That'd be bloody
Thousands
And what is it about the SWIFTies
And the community you're in there
Enia
Oh I don't know
I've made heaps of friends
I've travelled the world
And anywhere you go in the world
It's just like
Crazy you can always find someone
If you wear merch around
Someone always convent you on it
It's pretty cool
It is like the war
Similar to the Warriors
Yeah
Yeah
Well hey thank you
So you've always got your finger on the pulse, all things Taylor Swift.
I hope the song doesn't, lives up to your expectations.
If it doesn't initially, after a few listens, it will.
