Starting point is 00:00:00 Hi, everyone. Judge Andrew Napolitano here for Judging Freedom. Welcome to a Saturday special pop-up. Today is Saturday, May 22nd. I'm sorry, May 21st, 2022. It's about 1155 in the morning here in the east coast of the United States where it's going to be about 95 degrees later this afternoon. Today I want to talk to you about more about abortion. Yesterday AOC, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez taped an Instagram clip which we're going to play for you in a couple of minutes, in which she referred to the laws protecting the lives of babies in the womb as, quote, anti-choice forced birth laws, part of the rape culture. Good God, I've never heard those phrases before You'll hear them coming out of her mouth in just a minute It's one thing to argue that the baby in the womb is not a person And is not entitled to the protection of the laws
Starting point is 00:01:16 Which is what many serious, well-intended, pro-abortion folks argue It's another thing to argue that laws which protect babies are part of forced birth rape culture. Here's AOC, depending upon whether you like her or you don't, either at her best or at her worst. No person, no man, no person can ethically take your body with and use it how they want without your consent. And they are trying to legislate that in the law. And that is what that is honestly the similarity between rape culture and these horrifying anti-choice forced birth laws rape culture horrifying anti-choice forced birth laws why does the debate have to become so extreme let me say a few words about AOC I actually like her she's charming she's she's articulate, she's intelligent, she's consistent, she doesn't
Starting point is 00:02:26 compromise. We actually agree on many civil liberties issues. But on this, she's off the wall. She totally refuses to recognize the independent existence of the baby in the womb. So we're talking about consensual sex between a man and a woman, usually married, but not necessarily so. More likely than not to produce the fertilization of an egg inside the woman's body. From that point on, Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez, it is another body, another human being that the mother, under all laws of morality and, in my view, under the Constitution, is obliged to protect. If the baby in the womb is another human being, then all abortion is unconstitutional and is homicide. If the baby in the womb is not another human being, then when does humanity begin? Because in California, they want to permit infanticide up to 28 days of birth. All right, I don't want to get carried away with anger. I am soundly of the view, philosoph concern for the natural and probable consequences and with utter disregard for the rights of the baby.
Starting point is 00:04:19 All right, AOC, come back at me. Judge Napolitano for judging freedom.
