Hi, everyone. Judge Andrew Napolitano here for Judging Freedom. Today is Tuesday, September 27,
2022. It's about 1.45 in the afternoon here on the East Coast of the United States. Does the
President of the United States tell the truth?
Hi, how can you answer that with a yes or a no? Probably no for every president, but whatever.
I'm talking about Joe Biden. I'm not talking about Ukraine or Vladimir Putin or nuclear war
or the Constitution or Roe versus Wade. I'm talking about the price of gas. Now, the president
repeatedly in the past four days on Friday and again on Monday said that the price of gas
was below $3 a gallon in 41 states in the United States. And he was dead wrong. So I'm going to
listen to what you said, what he said,
and then I'm going to correct him.
Pay attention.
We've made historic progress.
We've made historic progress.
With the price of gas down $1.30 this summer,
in some states it's below $3.
It's in the low threes in most places.
In the low threes in most places and in some states below three bucks.
Okay.
The truth is in no states is it below three bucks.
The lowest is Mississippi, $3.
I'm not quibbling with words because $3 is very significant.
The average was $3.68. He said the average was below three. So
look, he was dead wrong. The White House corrected him. He said it again. I don't know if they
corrected him a second time, and he looks terrible. Those of you who know me know that I like him as
a person. I have known him for 40 years. He was obviously a different person when I first met him.
We were professors together at Delaware Law School.
I was a full-time professor.
He was an adjunct.
I enjoyed his company.
I didn't think he was the law school professor type, but he was there.
Now, he's got to get his numbers straight.
He looked terrible in that clip.
Anybody can look terrible in a clip.
You know, I'm energetic and all that, but you can find a clip in which I look bad.
I understand that.
But he's the President of the United States.
He's trying to assure people that he's got a handle on inflation.
He doesn't.
He's making inflation worse. But when he actually
gets the numbers wrong, in no state was the average or any price below $3 a gallon on Friday
and on Monday, and he repeats it, you got to wonder, what else does he say that's wrong?
