Hello there everyone, Judge Andrew Napolitano here. Today is Monday, February 14, Valentine's Day 2022.
It's about 2.10 in the afternoon on the east coast of the United States. And we just learned of an incident.
It happened a few days ago, but it just came to the public knowledge involving Brooklyn College.
Okay. There is a beautiful area of Brooklyn, New York, with a lovely little college campus that
looks like Princeton in the middle of Brooklyn. But the president of the Brooklyn College, which has 10 full-time security officials who are trained police
officers, but they're not NYPD. They just work for the college. The president of Brooklyn College
ordered those cops to surrender their guns. The union protecting them protested. She won the protest. She's the president.
She makes the decisions. Then, of course, there was a shooting across the street from the college
campus. Students were terrified. Faculty was terrified. The administration froze. Nobody
knew what to do. The cops had no guns. What did they do? They called security from other colleges in Brooklyn and the neighboring parts of New York City and asked those us who believe that the Second Amendment means what it says,
among which is a majority of the Supreme Court, have also been arguing that where there are more guns, there's less crime.
But you make an announcement as the president of Brooklyn College that there will be no guns whatsoever on campus.
Not even the trained police officers can carry guns.
What do you expect? Of course, there's going to be a shooting on the campus or across the street from it. Nobody was hurt.
They never caught the guy. And the president has not yet decided whether the trained police
officers who work for her will be allowed to carry guns. But she sure knows what to do in emergency. Get the guns.
Judge Napolitano, judging freedom.
