Starting point is 00:00:00 Hi everyone, Judge Andrew Napolitano here for Judging Freedom. Today is Monday, June 13, 2022. It's about 1.45 in the afternoon here on the east coast of the United States. Is the President of the United States going to visit Saudi Arabia or isn't he? Ask him. Have you decided, sir, whether to go to Saudi Arabia? No, not yet. What would be the holding up the decision at this point?
Starting point is 00:00:31 Are there commitments you're waiting for from the Saudis or on the negotiations over peace? No, no. The commitments from the Saudis don't relate to anything having to do with energy. It happens to be a large immediate taking place in Saudi Arabia. That's the reason I'm going. Boy, I haven't made it in my mind yet, but that's the reason I'm going. You know, the New York Times yesterday, Sunday, ran a long piece, and I'm sure it wasn't happy about running,
Starting point is 00:01:02 and it started at the top of the fold on the front page, and that is that the Democrats have begun to whisper that old Joe is not ready for prime time in 2024, whether he's going to oppose Donald Trump or some other Republican, and you can see why. A lot of you know I have known President Biden for many years. I was the youngest member of the faculty of Delaware Law School in 1979. It was a full-time teaching position for me. It was the first of several teaching-time faculty member. The rest of the faculty thought he was a dope. The students loved him because he was very likable. I got along with him. It was Joe Biden. And then, of course, fast forward 20 years, and I met Fox, and Fox is sending me to D.C. a couple times a month, and invariably on the early morning trains, there he was. Even as the vice president of the United States, and he'd sent a secret service agent over saying, vice president wants you to sit with him. He's holding the seat for you. I said, where are you guys going to sit? Well, don't worry about us. We're used to standing. He has a warm and engaging personality, or he had a warm and engaging personality. Republican friends who have been taunting me as his friend that he is losing it, I must reluctantly agree, are correct. He is losing it. He doesn't understand the impression that he gives. It's
Starting point is 00:02:32 beyond an absent-minded professor. An absent-minded professor may say the wrong thing to the class. They can check it on Google or they can check it in a library book. But if the president says the wrong thing, it could be a catastrophe. I don't know who the Democrats are going to run. I don't know who the Republicans are going to run. I think that Donald Trump is going to announce his candidacy for re-election before, before the November elections this year, just because that's the way he is. He likes to break the mold. But will the Democrats run old Joe? I don't think so. Judge Napolitano for Judging Freedom.
