Hi, everyone.
Judge Andrew Napolitano here for Judging Freedom.
Today is Friday, July 22, 2022.
It's about 1235 in the afternoon here on a hot and sweltering east coast of the United States.
I just wanted to make sure that all of you were aware of two events this week, one of which made the front pages and the top of the fold and the other which didn't.
The event that made the top of the fold was the wife of the president of Ukraine, Mrs. Zelensky, addressing Congress.
Now, she didn't address them from the House chamber,
but from another large auditorium that they have in the Capitol complex.
But most members of Congress were there.
And she wasn't there to shake people's hands or glad hand with them
or pat them on the back.
She was there to ask for guns and weapons and ammunition.
This happened on Thursday of this
week. The day before, the Secretary of the Air Force, Frank Kendall, and the Air Force Chief
of Staff, General Charles Brown, this is the one that did not make headlines, spoke at a security
conference in Washington, D.C., at which they both said, in effect,
we're willing to think about giving the Ukraine military
whatever they want.
And the hint was that we would be sending American fighter jets there
with American pilots, not to fly the fighter jets,
but to teach the Ukraine pilots how to use them.
This is not something that can be done overnight.
But this, if it happens, introduces another level of American involvement in this war,
a very, very dangerous level.
We already know, those of you who watched my interview with Phil Giraldi this week, we already know that when the
President of the United States was in Poland two weeks ago and was addressing American soldiers,
he said words to the effect of, you're going to be in Ukraine, and some of you have been there
already. They probably have been there without uniforms on. If they were there with uniforms on,
I think the press would have gotten wind of it. But without uniforms on, of course,
is extremely dangerous to them because they lose the protection of the Geneva Conventions.
If you don't have a uniform on with a recognizable insignia on the shoulder,
identifying you as a member of the military of a sovereign nation, you lose the protection of
the Geneva Convention and you can be executed summarily, that is without a trial, as a spy.
We know that that has happened. So add those three things together, American troops and civilian
garb on the ground in Ukraine, having been there and on their way back,
probably still there, but we don't honestly know that.
The wife of the president is here,
not to schmooze and whine and dime,
but to say we need ammo and we need it now,
the wife of the Ukrainian president.
And the secretary of the Air Force
and his chief of staff, a four-star general, saying, tell us what you need and we'll get it for you, is so close to the introduction of American forces in this war that it is extremely dangerous.
Does Vladimir Putin know this?
Of course he knows this.
This afternoon at 3.30, I'll be talking to Jack Devine.
A lot of you don't like Jack because he's a quintessential CIA guy. All right, he's a friend
of mine. He tells me things that you can't learn from the news. He'll be telling you things that
you can't learn from the news. But I'm going to ask him, doesn't Vladimir Putin know this?
Does Putin know that the Secretary of the Air Force and the Chief of Staff of the Air Force
are looking around for jets, fighter jets, American fighter jets to send to Ukraine? I'm going to ask
that to Jack. If he's watching now, he's smiling because he loves when I give him a heads up.
And I'm going to interrogate him aggressively. He basically gives you a different side of the story from
the one you get from Scott Ritter, Phil Giraldi, and Colonel McGregor. We'll be going through that
today. But I wanted you to know in a timely manner how dangerous this is getting. All right, I get
it. The president's got COVID. He's under the weather for a couple of days. I wish him well.
I hope he recovers. Who the hell's making decisions
while he's sick? I don't know. Does he even know that the Secretary of the Air Force and the Air
Force Chief of Staff have been hinting at this? My friends, this is going to get worse before
it gets better. Judge Napolitano for Judging Freedom. judging freedom.
