Starting point is 00:00:00 Thank you. Hi, everyone. Judge Andrew Napolitano here for Judging Freedom. Today is Tuesday, October 1st, 2024. Lieutenant Colonel Karen Kwiatkowski joins us now. Karen, thank you very much for joining us. I had intended to discuss with you your new column at judsnap.com and elsewhere about truth having a way of bursting out of the seams, and maybe we can get to it, but to the breaking news as we speak, it seems to have stopped for the moment, but the United States government, Jake Sullivan in particular, we'll run the clip in a minute, says that Iran fired over 200 missiles at Tel Aviv, the capital of Israel, and we have confirmation that at least a dozen of them landed. They don't appear to have killed people because unlike the Israelis, the Iranians
Starting point is 00:01:25 are not aiming at civilians. They're aiming at military intelligence and other government installations. The barrage does seem to be over. If you see the arrows that Chris drew in, those are missiles that actually landed. We do have another clip as soon as this is over, which will show in a more dramatic way the actual landings of these missiles. We don't know what kinds of missiles they are, and we don't know of any casualties, but we do know that it was enough to send Prime Minister Netanyahu into a jet in the air
Starting point is 00:02:05 to avoid being on the ground anywhere. Here's the more dramatic one that shows at least 12 hits, Karen. These are Israeli camera creep people and civilians that you can hear screaming in fear in the background. All of this started because after an extremely bellicose and unwelcome speech that Prime Minister Netanyahu gave at the United Nations. He went into a back room and from the United Nations building picked up a phone and ordered a murder, which was carried out 5,000 miles away. What do you make of the head of a foreign government in the United Nations ordering a murder, a federal crime, a state crime? He, of course, will forever be scot-free, at least in the United Nations ordering a murder, a federal crime, a state crime, he, of course, will forever be scot-free, at least in the U.S.
Starting point is 00:03:14 Yeah. I mean, politicians, if they're leaders of countries, can order, apparently can order murders in violation of all of their country's laws. And certainly in the United States, you know, we've had the same thing. I mean, Obama, Trump, I think, did it. You know, all our presidents, they order people to be killed. That's apparently one of the reasons why they want to be president, to have that kind of power. And that is, of course, always to order a murder like that, especially in other countries, you know, kind of secretive attacks, it's terrorism, assassinations. All of this is illegal under our law. But leaders of countries don't seem to ever be prosecuted for it. It's interesting that he did it from UN headquarters, because that's the ultimate spit in the face to the UN, which, of course, Netanyahu and most of the Zionists really dislike the UN because even though the UN made Israel possible, it also has served to criticize Israel, validly, of course.
Starting point is 00:04:13 But, you know, they feel like the UN is worthless. And so to order from New York City at UN headquarters this, I'm sure they had a good chuckle. Here's Jake Sullivan, the president's national security advisor, commenting on the nature and extent of the Israeli missiles and the American efforts to help the Israelis. Today, Iran launched nearly 200 ballistic missiles towards targets in Israel. The United States military coordinated closely with the Israeli Defense Forces to help defend Israel against this attack. U.S. naval destroyers joined Israeli air defense units in firing interceptors to shoot down inbound missiles.
Starting point is 00:05:00 We are still working with the IDF and the authorities in Israel to assess the impact of the attack. But at this time, and I stress at this time, we do not know of any deaths in Israel. That was just about 10 or 15 minutes ago. I believe that his presser is still going on. If he says anything of significance to us and to the viewers of the show will certainly run them. It is remarkable about the killing. I mean, Donald Trump lauded the execution of General Soleimani, who was an Iranian general in Iraq at the time Iraq had friendly relations with the U.S.,
Starting point is 00:05:48 and he was there on a peace mission, and they just blew him away with a drone. President Obama used a drone to kill Anwar al-Salaqi and his 16-year-old son. The father was born in New Mexico. The son was born in Virginia. These were American citizens that he executed. I was at Fox at the time, and I prodded my bosses to badger the Justice Department,
Starting point is 00:06:15 and a bunch of us did from a variety of networks, and they finally released the legal basis for the summary execution of two Americans, neither of whom had even been charged with a crime and both of them followed for the last two days of their lives by a dozen intelligence agents. It was a legal brief that would have flunked the first year of law school because it likened killing these people to police shooting at a bank robber when the bank robber is shooting at the police oh my god these two the alaki father and son were seated at an outdoor cafe in yemen having a cup of tea and they hadn't been charged with anything and obama killed them and boasted about it so So this is across party lines.
Starting point is 00:07:06 George W., Bill Clinton famously bombing the pharmaceutical factory the same day that he was interrogated before the grand jury investigating his own crimes. It's a horrible, horrible state of affairs. Is Israel interested in peace or they just want to use this as an excuse to kill more people? I think they're in an extermination mode. I mean, I think their plan, and this has been hinted at and even directly spoken of, is to remove Arabs and non-Jews from land that they see to be theirs. The Latani River is the goal now. They took Gaza. Gaza has been completely destroyed. And I don't know how they're going to rebuild that. But certainly they are not, I don't think Israel is going to,
Starting point is 00:07:54 I think Israel is going to rebuild it for Jewish people. I'm pretty sure that's what the plan is, unless things change. I mean, the power dynamic is such now that they can do that. And so once that extermination is ongoing and underway, because really in Gaza, a single set of contagious diseases can seriously wipe out the rest of the people that haven't been killed and slaughtered directly by Israel. And that's, I mean, it's just a matter of time. So they've done a great job in Gaza. So now I think Southern Lebanon is the target. And obviously, sure, they have enemies everywhere. They'd like to kill their enemies. But really, the way they target is not about killing enemies. It's about, it's terroristic. It is about attacking civilians and killing as many people as possible. It's about
Starting point is 00:08:45 creating terror so that people don't want to live there anymore. And I think it's very calculated on their part. And also think about from Israel's perspective, from the government's perspective, and not just that Netanyahu is in, you know, legal trouble as soon as the war stops. Beyond that, from their perspective, what better time does Israel have to really go low, to use Michelle Obama's terms? You know, they go high, we go low. Well, they're going low. And what better time to go low than when the American, we're out of weapons for the most part, although Israel's a still priority. We have a very contested election. We have a president, I guess you could say the Biden entity. I don't know what he's doing. He's not competent, clearly,
Starting point is 00:09:30 but that's a great time because the neocons are running American foreign policy pretty much without any interference, except a tiny bit from the Pentagon, not much. And that interference from the Pentagon that we saw, you know, oh, don't send long-range missiles deep into Russia. We're not going to allow that because we don't want World War III. That is, it's a good argument, but it's very tenuous. It's a tenuous argument coming from them and making that argument to committed neocons who see their time running out. So for Israel, for their backers in the United States, which are concentrated in D.C., these political backers of Israel, what better time to take advantage of something that may,
Starting point is 00:10:14 this time may not come again. Of course, Trump is very pro-Israel, but the problem with Trump is he makes his own mind up and he's not a neocon. So, you know, in fact, I saw something, which is probably common knowledge, but it wasn't to me, on Twitter, but Trump has a Lebanese son in law, married to his daughter, Tiffany, as well as an Israeli son in law or a Jewish son in law, married to his other daughter, the more famous one. So he's got daughter, he's got son-in-laws in both camps. And it puts him in a position of, in some ways, at least being able to hear multiple sides of situations. This is something they don't need, they don't have with the Biden and Harris people. Those guys are pure puppets for the neocons. So things will change if Trump
Starting point is 00:11:02 is elected. It looks like he's going to be barring an assassination. Now's the timeC there that you just had the clip of. It sounds like he's working for the Israeli government. Where is our mutual military treaty? Where's our bilateral agreement with Israel to come to their defense? It doesn't exist. I mean, where is that? It doesn't exist. Every time I hear a member of Congress say they're our closest ally, they're not an ally.
Starting point is 00:11:46 There's no treaty. They bought us out. That's why we're so compliant. The Hindustan Times is reporting that Iran fired more than 400 missiles and rockets, unleashing hellfire on Israel as the Iron Dome struggles. That's twice the number of what Jake Sullivan gave. But here's a clip of a CNN crew. I recognize Jim Sciutto's voice on a rooftop saying, we got to get out of here.
Starting point is 00:12:16 They're coming too close. Watch and listen to this. Okay, guys, we got to get off the roof. These are coming down right next to us here. They're coming down. One just about. We got to get off the roof. These are coming down right next to us here. They're coming down one just about. We got to go inside. Well, that's the view, the very brief view from a CNN camera, which is a different view from what we showed earlier. We'll find out in the morning if the IDF tells the truth exactly what damage was done by these missiles. We know that they're aimed at military, governmental, and intelligence targets. They're not aimed at civilians. Chris, do we have any new video at the moment? No. Okay. We're still waiting to see
Starting point is 00:13:07 what comes in. One of the interesting things you wrote about in your recent column, Karen, which predates the assassination of Nasrallah, was U.S. State Department-funded kill lists in Ukraine, which consist of Americans, one of whom, of course, is a regular on this show, Scott Ritter. Maybe others are on there. I don't know. Surely the State Department knows that they've paid for this. How could they not know? They know.
Starting point is 00:13:51 And they've been informed about it by people in the media and not mainstream media, of course. But, yeah, the State Department absolutely understands how their money is being used. But you've got to realize the people running our government, certainly the people running the State Department, not all of them, but the people running it and making the decisions. They think very much like the guy that ran for president that believes that the First Amendment is really standing in the way of their ability to govern. John Kerry. John Kerry, ketchup man. Yeah. He, his viewpoint, you know, presented in a very serious manner to the WEF group that he was, the panel that he was sitting on. He's very serious about that. And the people who think, people who think like he does run our major foreign policy agencies, certainly the State Department, the Pentagon, certainly the White House, Homeland Security, basically you name the government department, they all believe that free speech shouldn't be free. It should conform to the government narrative at all times. And if not, the citizens and Hillary Clinton's basket of deplorables, but these people that insist upon countering, speaking their mind,
Starting point is 00:15:11 whatever it is that they're doing, sharing pictures that they've taken that run counter to the government narrative, that these people really should be punished in both civil and criminal fashion. So they believe this. I mean, it sounds so crazy. I mean, it sounds like it's nuts, right? But if a bunch of people that run the country believe this way,
Starting point is 00:15:31 then if you tell the State Department, hey, you know, you're funding an organization that is trying to assassinate Americans for nothing more than exercising their right of free speech, and they say, well, yes, so what? So what? The Constitution used to be sacrosanct. You have John Kerry complaining about the First Amendment. I know you mentioned Donald Trump in a flattering way, but he has complained about the First
Starting point is 00:15:58 and the Fifth. He wants the First Amendment to be amended so that Congress can enact statutes making it a crime to burn a flag, your own flag. He wants the Fifth Amendment amended so that the police can administer punishment right at the scene of a crime rather than having due process. I never heard of this when I was in law school. It's a modern phenomenon, and I pray to God that it doesn't catch on. We're going to dip in for just a minute to Jake Sullivan's press conference. If it's boring, we'll jump right out. But if there's anything interesting in there, we'll hang on to it and comment on it. Here we go. Through the rest of the day, and of course, in the days to come.
Starting point is 00:16:43 Thank you, Matt. Did the the u.s have any indication whether or not they were successful that the iranians intended to strike u.s interests or assets in the region i'm going to defer to uh the pentagon to speak to specific operational details as to what the iranians might have been targeting they're obviously in the best position to monitor that and to speak to it and i know they're having a briefing later today i'll defer that question to them all right let's go back we understand that the embassy had all of its employees. I thought it was Jake Sullivan. This guy, Matt Miller, is not worth the shoes he's wearing. He never answers a damn thing. And Chris did tell me it was Matt Miller and not Jake Sullivan. And
Starting point is 00:17:17 I missed that part of it. But it was an interesting question that he refused to answer. And that is, were any American assets targeted? I would imagine, Karen, there are American assets, military assets in Israel. There are certainly American military assets in the Mediterranean. I don't know how sophisticated these missiles are, if they can reach from Iran all the way to the American ships in the Mediterranean. But of course, he didn't answer. And we'll find out the answer to that in the morning. Here is Prime Minister Netanyahu at the United Nations boasting, excuse me, this is not him at the United Nations. This is him in Israel boasting about the execution of Nasrallah. This is cut number three, Chris. Every day, you see a regime that subjugates you, make fiery speeches about defending Lebanon, defending Gaza. Yet every day, that regime plunges our region deeper into darkness and deeper into war.
Starting point is 00:18:22 Every day, their puppets are eliminated. Ask Muhammad Def. Ask Nasrallah. There is nowhere in the Middle East Israel cannot reach. There is nowhere we will not go to protect our people and protect our country. With every passing moment, the regime is bringing you, the noble Persian people,
Starting point is 00:18:43 closer to the abyss. Can you imagine Benjamin Netanyahu speaking in English to the people of Iran and expecting to have some kind of an effect? I don't know. One of our people, Scott Ritter, who will be with us later today, said he thought that that was aimed at Iranian expats in the United States, that it clearly can't be aimed at the Iranian people because they wouldn't accept a word he said, whether it was in English, Hebrew, or Persian. But to boast about an execution, you don't think we can do what we say we're going to do? Ask Nasrallah.
Starting point is 00:19:27 That is really pouring salt on the wound, don't you think? Yeah. Well, when he speaks in English, we know he is addressing the messages aimed at his American audience, certainly. If it's expats from Iran, to some extent, yeah, sure. But I honestly think when he speaks like this, he is speaking to Congress. He is puffing up his imagined capability in order to, you know, to be on the, you have to be a winner, right? Because people want to be with the winner. The Congress is a very petty, short-sighted, you know, our Congress is filled with just really scum of the earth, quite frankly,
Starting point is 00:20:06 for the most part, except for Thomas Massey and very few others. So they are not, they're fickle. They're very fickle. So if Israel somehow starts to lose, just like we've seen with Ukraine, I mean, Ukraine, we've been watching Ukraine. We know it's been losing very much from the beginning, but as that fact becomes more widely aware, Congress pulls away because we like to back winners, right? Because this isn't about principle. None of it is ever about principle. So it's about who's the winner? Are we going to give good money after good? Or are we going to give good money after bad? Well, we're not going to give good money after bad. So for him, that is a speech of pride and of pumping himself up, pumping Israel's capabilities up, aimed really at American congressmen and the people that influence those congressmen. And that would be the Mickey Mac.
Starting point is 00:20:56 That would be the military-industrial complex and all those who insist that despite the lack of a defense treaty or any other type of alliance with Israel, that we will always defend Israel. So they have to keep Congress very well convinced that they are winning. And it's becoming more difficult. And then on the other hand, you see them standing there, sitting there. It's as if he's in a psychiatrist's office. And the psychiatrist is looking at him going, what a classic case of projection. You know, Israel is causing these problems.
Starting point is 00:21:29 Israel has always caused these problems. And they've exacerbated them and they've taken advantage of them in some ways. And quite frankly, without American military aid, which has been flowing freely and continues to flow, notwithstanding the port strike, maybe that will slow it down a little bit. I don't know. But this military backing that they have from the United States is Israel's lifeline. It's certainly the Zionist lifeline. If that stops, if that is interrupted, if that is disrupted in any way, the country of Israel is in great danger. And not because, you know, not because, you know, oh, everybody wants to destroy Israel. It's because of what Israel has done to create basically an infinite number of enemies. One of our viewers writes that Netanyahu was speaking to Iranian youth,
Starting point is 00:22:17 which is overwhelmingly fluent in English and which was overwhelmingly shaming him and ripping him apart on X formerly known as Twitter as he was doing it I want to switch gears for just a minute this is something you and I have never uh talked about uh but I have to comment on it because today is his 100th birthday and that is President Carter for whom I had very little regard uh when was in the White House, when he beat Gerald Ford. I thought it was the end of the world, obviously. It wasn't. But this is a very, very interesting clip, which if said today, it's 1976, it's the spring of 76. He is the still unknown governor of Georgia, and he's seeking the Democratic nomination for president. And he's the still unknown governor of Georgia, and he's seeking the Democratic nomination for
Starting point is 00:23:06 president. And he's asked on national television what he thinks about abortion. Now, if a person running for the Democratic nomination for president gave today the answer that Carter gave then, they would automatically be eliminated from the race for the Democratic nomination. But here is Jimmy Carter. Today is his 100th birthday, but here he is in 1976, sounding like a conservative Republican Roman Catholic. That's a hard question for me to answer. I have a deep feeling that abortion is wrong. At what stage in the development of the fetus it becomes murder, I can't say.
Starting point is 00:23:48 But I wish that there were never any abortions. It really bothers me about it. The Supreme Court has ruled that the first 13 weeks, the mother and the doctor have a right to have an abortion. I wish that there were no abortions, but I can't say at what point the abortion becomes murder. Very few people will refer to an abortion at any point as murder. Chris found that.
Starting point is 00:24:14 I was deeply moved by it. Happy birthday, Mr. President. I'm not sure that he's going to hear that because he's probably not watching. But it is remarkable that he lived that long. My own mother, on election day turns 99 and she's in very good shape. We have a huge party here at my home for our extended family. A few days after, because my brothers are very, very political, I decided to have the party after election day, not before, so that the gathering will be more amicable.
Starting point is 00:24:51 But, Karen, thank you. Thank you for rolling with the punches for us. Thanks for your time, as always. Look forward to seeing you again next week. Okay. Thank you very much, Judge. Of course. Coming up at five o'clock this afternoon from midnight in Moscow, Pepe Escobar, and at six o'clock this afternoon with his military eye to analyze exactly what happened
Starting point is 00:25:15 over the skies in Tel Aviv, Scott Ritter. Judge Napolitano for Judging Freedom. freedom. I'm
