Hi, everyone. Judge Andrew Napolitano here for Judging Freedom. Today is Monday, June 20, 2022.
It's about 1.15 in the afternoon here on the east coast of the United States.
The officials of the government, particularly in the Biden administration, from the president
to the Speaker of the House of Representatives,
and now the vice president, have all argued that they can keep their Christian faith
while they're in favor of permitting the government to permit doctors to slaughter babies in the womb.
This, I guess, is some sort of a preemptive strike against the Supreme Court's opinion,
which we expect will come down tomorrow, Tuesday, June 21st, or Thursday of this week, June 23rd,
invalidating Roe versus Wade.
But in anticipation of that decision coming down, the president continues to say he's
a good Catholic and receives the Blessed Sacrament on Sunday. Mrs. Pelosi says she's a good Catholic
and she presumably receives the Blessed Sacrament on Sunday. She hasn't been as ostentatious about
it as the president. Now Kamala Harris basically saying you can be a good Christian and be in
favor of killing babies. Take a listen. Those of us of faith, I think that we agree, many of us,
that there's nothing about this issue that will require anyone to abandon their faith or change
their faith. It's simply saying that the government should not have the ability to decide
what an individual does with her own body. So the former senator from California and the former
attorney general, chief law enforcement officer of the state of California should reread the
constitution because the 14th amendment requires that the states protect life, liberty,
and property and do so equally. For her to say the government cannot get involved in protecting
babies in the womb, and by the way, you can be a Christian and in favor of slaughtering babies in
the womb, where the heck does that come from? Thou shalt not kill. We're not talking about
self-defense where someone's shooting at you, whether you're a soldier or a kill. We're not talking about self-defense where someone's shooting at you,
whether you're a soldier or a civilian. We're talking about a conscious decision to slaughter
a baby in the womb because the mother doesn't want the child. The vice president somehow thinks
that's consistent with our Baptist religion. I'm Roman Catholic. I'm not Baptist, but I understand
the basic rules of Christianity
For Christian denominations other than Catholicism
And they all believe in the sanctity of innocent human life
And what innocent life, what life is more innocent
Than a baby in the womb, Vice President Harris?
Your conscience is for you to decide. Your conscience and your soul
are between you and the God you worship, the same God that I worship, the same God that almost all
of us worship. But don't go around twisting and distorting Christianity. Christianity is a religion of peace. It recognizes self-defense. It recognizes evil in the world.
But it protects the lives of the innocent, particularly Vice President Harris, innocent babies in the womb.
Judge Napolitano for judging freedom.
