Juicy Scoop with Heather McDonald - Ariana Grande Scrutiny, House of Stassi, Jax’s Smartwater Scam & My Shannon Viral Video!

Episode Date: August 4, 2026

I’m getting into Ariana Grande stepping out of the spotlight following intense public scrutiny over her latest music video appearance, which leads into a candid look at what eating disorders really ...mean, how pop culture treated them 40 years ago, and whether those old media tropes actually fueled the rise of these conditions in young girls. Then, we dive headfirst into Hulu’s House of Stassi, dissecting how heavily they break the fourth wall, whether the drama between Stassi and Beau is set up for the cameras, and if their marriage can actually survive the reality TV pressure. Plus, I break down Jax Taylor getting exposed for a fake Smartwater brand deal, and his wild claims about how it happened, along with all the explosive drink-throwing chaos from The Valley finale. I also address Shannon Beador claiming I’m "obsessed" with her, setting the record straight on my viral video imitation, react to the shocking revelation about Vicki Gunvalson’s kids, Briana and Michael, not seeing each other in eight years, and explain why everyone is suddenly bringing up my famous Comedy Improv stage faint all over again in light of the latest Washington D.C. interrogations! -Go Hungryroot.com/juicyscoop, code juicyscoop to get 40% off your first box and a free item of your choice for life. -Download the Quince app for app-exclusive offers, or go to Quince.com/juicy  -Go to zbiotics.com/JUICYSCOOP and use JUICYSCOOP at checkout for 15% off any first time orders of ZBiotics probiotics  -Our listeners can buy one pair of glasses and get 20% off any additional pairs at WarbyParker.com/JUICYSCOOP — and using our link helps support the show. #WarbyParker #ad Subscribe to my new show Juicy Crimes!: https://bit.ly/juicycrimes Stand Up Tickets and info: https://heathermcdonald.net/ Subscribe to Juicy Scoop with Heather McDonald and get extra juice on Patreon: https://bit.ly/JuicyScoopPod https://www.patreon.com/cw/juicyscoop Watch the Juicy Scoop On YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@JuicyScoop Shop Juicy Scoop Merch: https://juicyscoopshop.com/?srsltid=AfmBOopTZFUvAeokrJJ6dQ5wuAW1T3nssO6pHk47u7KymJUBtBgKCvfX Follow Me on Social Media: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/heathermcdonald/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@heathermcdonald YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@HeatherMcDonaldOfficial Learn more about your ad choices. Starting point is 00:00:00 Heather McDonald has got the juices scoop. When you're on the road, when you're on the go, Juicy Scoop is the show to know she talks Hollywood Tales for real life Mr. Sagan's serial data and serial sister. You'll be addicted and addicts it fast to the number one tabloid real life podcast. Listen in, listen up. Woo, woo. Heather McDonald's Juicy Scoot.
Starting point is 00:00:30 Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop. All right, we have a lot to get into, a lot of things to catch up on, and I'm going to have some strong opinions and thoughts and some knowledge, I believe, that I can lay on you based on my incredible wisdom. So let's get into it. Ariana Grande, her people have just made an announcement that she will be stepping away from work and personal appearances after she finishes her last concert for her tour. which is this September 1st, 2026th. Now, she was set to do a play in London, Sunday in the park, and that was part of the announcement that she's no longer going to do that. That was going to follow her tour. I think this is really good. I think it's really important, but let's get into why.
Starting point is 00:01:22 So she had a music video come out this past week, and it was pretty startling her appearance in it. First of all, the video is very artistic, very interesting. And it's a song about Calpetal, where this little flower is coming out from her crack. But it's really about Hollywood. So she plays a young starlet from like 1960, comes out of a old-fashioned taxi cab, and is waiting with all these other 1960s prim and proper women to audition for the Hollywood bigwigs. and she comes in there and she does her thing. And the old farty men who are smoking cigarettes stamp not hot enough.
Starting point is 00:02:05 So she comes back and she's wearing this sexy black off the shoulder, super tight top with this tight pants, kind of like what Sandy wore in Greece when the final scene, you know, you're the one that I want. And, you know, it's like that. And in it, she's trying to be sexy these guys. So she's leaning forward and turning her back around. and in that we see extreme thinness. We see all the bones in her chest, the bones in her back, and people snapped it, started to talk about it. Jacques Peterson of Daily Mail, who is just on
Starting point is 00:02:38 my show, wrote an article about the concern that is being expressed in these comments based on this video. So then shortly after that is when this announcement came that she's taking this break from public life for a while, getting, not doing this play. She's not doing the 13th season of American Horror, which I guess was supposed to also, she was also supposed to do. And I just want to talk a little a bit about anorexia because, you know, we've seen how thin she's gotten. We have talked about her appearance during the wicked press.
Starting point is 00:03:16 And Cynthia, her co-star also was extremely thin. And both of them, their appearance got very skeletor-looking. and thinner than, you know, before they started doing this play Wicked. And people are wondering, what is this? You know, what, what it? Well, I'm going to just tell you my knowledge of anorexia from my era of high school and college when it's really was the first time people started talking about it. I'm sure it has always existed, but it just wasn't something that was discussed or shared.
Starting point is 00:03:50 It was not an epidemic until like the 80s. my mother never knew anybody that suffered from it. They would do their weird diets and eat hard-boiled eggs and drink black coffee to try to fit into a dress. But the anorexia where you just eat very little or nothing at all, or you only eat carrots, or you started to be a thing. And I remember being in high school and there was a made-for-TV movie called Best Little Girl in the World. And there weren't that many channels. So we all knew we were going to watch it because it was about a teenage girl who had anorexia. And we came back the next day to discuss it at school. And everyone said, did you watch it? I didn't know, you know, that you could do this to lose weight.
Starting point is 00:04:35 It literally kind of taught a generation of girls how to have an eating disorder. The other movie that came out at the time was the Karen Carpenter story. The Carpenters were a brother-sister singing dual band that just was huge in the 70s. And the sister became anorexic. And you'd see in the album covers that how much her appearance changed. Well, there was a made-for-TV movie during the 80s that was about her anorexia and what was going on. And eventually she did pass away from it. So now we're in this era where everybody is able to comment on everything. And it's do not talk about women's bodies. Don't comment, you know, maybe she was meant to always be that thin. Leave it alone. You're either too fat or
Starting point is 00:05:25 you're too thin. In this particular case, I think this is something that needs to be discussed. I think it's becoming a slippery slope that we're entering this world of too thin. It's easy to get there. And once you're there, you really like it and you want to stay there. And the other thing with anorexia is they look in the mirror and they don't see what we see. You know, and the reason that anorexia starts is it's one way that it's about control. It's the one thing that this individual, and men get it too, that this individual can control in their life. So with teenagers or whatnot, it happens because the teenage life is hard. Sometimes it's also that they want to be thinner with their friends. But when it goes to a place where it's all they are doing,
Starting point is 00:06:10 it's part of a control thing, you know, their parents tell them what to do, school tells them what to do, you know, but this, they can control what goes in their mouth. And also with teenage girls, it was really hard because you're not bathing your teenage daughter. You don't know what they look like undressed or in their broad underwear because you're not going in their room anymore. And, you know, big sweats and all these kind of things, you could hide it, just like you could hide a pregnancy, you know, and here your child's living in the house with you or they do eat at dinner or maybe you don't eat together as a family, so they do eat at dinner, but then they're able to put their finger down their throat, which again, never knew how to do that until I saw it in a
Starting point is 00:06:53 movie. These things, like I said, sometimes can be taught. So in the internet, in the last decade, there have been these groups in which they, anorexics find each other or eating disorder people find each other and they support each other and they tell them tricks and things and they tell them how to do it and they count calories or what's a better thing to eat. They'll keep you thin. So I think, in my opinion, I think both Cynthia and Ariana found each other and they bonded as actors and singers in this big production. But I think that they were anorexic friends. I think that they fed off each other, no pun intended, they fed off each other about what to do and only you and I understand each other. And it was, and it can be something just like any other.
Starting point is 00:07:44 addicts where it's not good to be together. And I knew girls like this that would bond over it or start it together. And it was their little secret. And they'd be like calling each other and saying, let's hang out. Let's do scarf and barf. And it was, you know, nobody knew it was going on until finally someone steps in and is like, what is going on here? You are not eating right. And what's so hard about this is unlike alcohol or drugs, you have to have food to survive. So it becomes a lifelong struggle for people. So I think it's good that she is getting the help that she needs. As someone that witnessed other people in high school and college really suffer with this, it is really hard. They will deny it. And there was a girl in my sorority and we kind of had an
Starting point is 00:08:38 intervention and the president of our sorority was like this we cannot just sit around like what if she dies and so she called the parents and she got wind that the parents were coming and they were going to take her to a doctor get her checked out get her blood done and she knew something to eat like that morning that would affect her blood to appear like no it's it's the right levels it's that kind of stuff it's really it's a really hard thing so now imagine that she's this big star She has all these people working for her. She has a wonderful reputation. She's, you know, she's not some mean diva.
Starting point is 00:09:16 People love working with her, being with her. So you don't want to be the one that's like the whistleblower. I'm wondering, I was kind of shocked that she was in this skimpy outfit that showed these bones. And I thought, well, maybe whoever helped style this, maybe that was their way of going, I'm going to put her in this and it'll be an undeniable thing. I don't know. The fact that all these people on set and everybody and nobody was, because her first outfit that she wears in this music video, she looks like a thin person, but it doesn't, it's these, the bones popping out in her chest and back that really made people take pause. And, you know, and even the music video is
Starting point is 00:10:05 about all the scrutiny that she essentially, if you analyze it, it's really about her and the scrutiny that she's gotten all these years. She's been a performer and an actor for, since she was a child. And she's a really good actress. And she's very, very funny. And she's in the latest installment of Meet the Fucker. She is going to be playing a very funny part. I saw a long trailer before the last movie I went to at The Odyssey. And she's supposed to be dating Ben Stiller's son. And now Ben Stiller is the father-in-law to be who is skeptical of what who she is, what her job is and what her intention is.
Starting point is 00:10:43 And it's a very physical part. And she does look thin in it. But, you know, it's going to be a hit. And she is very funny. So maybe her people were like, take this break because you want to have fun with the press when this movie comes out because it's going to be a huge, it's going to be a huge comedy hit. I can tell from the trailer, also being the third installment of a show that came out over 25 years ago. That was so classically funny.
Starting point is 00:11:12 So, you know, I just really hope. And, you know, whatever help she gets, which I hope she gets and gets better, she does not have to share her story with us. She's not obligated. And hopefully she looks like she did. Here's some photos of her just a few years ago. how different she looked. So it is, it is scary. But it's a very, very hard thing to approach because it's not drugs or alcohol. And so it makes it a really hard thing to help your loved one. Also, Ethan Slater, who she dated, that guy, SpongeBob Square Pants guy, who looked a lot
Starting point is 00:11:53 like her brother Frankie Grande. They have broken up. And people were wondering if he was like somehow rekindling it with his ex. Remember, he had a wife when he started dating Ariana. But TMZ is saying, no, those were just rumors. But that's also hard breaking up with someone too. So that was a lot that she was going through with all of her huge deals going on. Okay, I want to talk about House of Stasi on Hulu. This is Stasi Schroeder's show from Van der Pump Rules. So let's just recap a little of who Stossi. Stasi is. Stasi was one of the original cast members of Vanderpump rules. And she actually came from a reality show background. Her first time on reality shows, she was with her family. And I believe her
Starting point is 00:12:46 parents are married and divorced so that it was like maybe a step-fam parents or something. But she was on the amazing race. And she had black hair. And that's when you would do it with your family. so it was like she and her brother or somebody or maybe her sister, I don't know. So she from a young age wanted to be in front of the TV and reality TV was really what ended up working out for her. So she, someone helped her get a job. Actually, this girl, Christy Kelly helped her get a job at Sir. She started dating Jacks.
Starting point is 00:13:23 And then the producers of Real House's Beverly Hills came to them and said, would you guys be interested in doing a reality show about working at this restaurant? And the original cast members were Stasi and Jax as a couple, Kristen Doty and Tom Sandoval as a couple, and Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz. Those were like the original six people. And of course, it was a huge hit. And she really popped off because she was funny. She was outspoken. She hit Kristen when she found out that Kristen slept with Jacks. Like, it was really, really raw and they weren't producing themselves at that time. Okay. So cut to 2020, she is now dating this guy, Bo, that she meets. Now, Bo was an actor and he worked in casting,
Starting point is 00:14:15 and he met her and they fell in love. And she had all these great things going on. She had a podcast even before me. She was one of the first reality show people to also have a podcast. And she's good at it. And she came on Juicy Scoop and we had a great conversation. And she came on like one of my, I think maybe my first year podcasting. And I wasn't even really watching Vanderpump rules at the time. And she was really honest. She said, you know, I'm like, how do you do these scenes? And she's like, Adderall, baby. Like I take the, so how else could I have drinks and film all day without a little? So I was like, wow, I really like this honesty. This girl's really cool. in 2020, and they talk about this on the show. So the new show, House of Stasi, is she has created
Starting point is 00:15:00 her own reality show around people in her life. And in it, she gives an intro, much like I just did. And she says in 2020, she got canceled. And they basically say what it was. It was during that time, people and fans are really examining a lot of people that were in front of us on TV. And they remembered some of the racially charged things that she has said on her podcast and whatnot. With that, she got canceled and so did Kristen Doty. She then shortly after that, she was already pregnant, revealed her pregnancy, had her daughter, got married, time went on. She started her podcast again.
Starting point is 00:15:46 And now the last couple years, she's really had a resurgence. and she so that Hulu comes and they're like, we want you to do something on the villa. And so she starts pushing, could I have my own show? Could I have my own valley? Now she says I never wanted to be on the valley, but I have some good sources that she was, you know, thinking about it. But she's smart and it wouldn't be better to have your own show. And she had this opportunity here on Hulu with Lisa Vanderpump. And wouldn't it be nice to say, fuck you, Bravo. You fucked me. over left me high and dry when I was the person that really popped off was one of the people that popped off majorly on Vanderprop Rules and got so many other shows and things going.
Starting point is 00:16:31 Because Bravo doesn't really have your back. They don't. They don't care. These people are dispendable. They're replaceable. And when the heat came on them, they fired, they fired Jacks, Brittany and Kristen and Sheena, I'm sorry, and Stasi all at the same time. So Stasi is telling, so let me talk about this show because it is very interesting. Now, they break the fourth wall a lot. It's a reality show about their life. They break the fourth wall so much that there's some criticism that it almost feels scripted. From what she says and what I've gathered, I'm going to tell you what it is. So she finally, she's trying to get this show sold over a year and a half ago. And they film this scene. And they get in a big fight. She and her and her husband and stuff went down.
Starting point is 00:17:28 Whatever. The gist of it, I'm not getting all the details of everything. I've only watched a few episodes. There's eight episodes out. And you can binge the whole thing. So I feel like I needed to talk about it today because I think it might be kind of old news. in a couple weeks, because I think people will watch the whole thing. She does have one of the girls on from Secret Lives of Mormon Wives in a scene. And she reveals that Sheena, Sheena She had come to her and said, do you have any filming opportunities coming up? I would love to do something with you. And by the way, Brock, her husband, was raised Mormon, I guess, in Australian. And, you know, Stossi's like, oh, my God, Sheena's like such a thirst bucket. She'll be able to.
Starting point is 00:18:12 do anything to be on TV. Well, so will you. So will you. I think that's pretty smart of Sheena. Like, why not? If that's a connection to get you into the hottest show, let's face it, Secret Lives and Mormon Wives was huge popping off spin-offs. It's what Bravo is hoping to do with younger casts with housewives in the future is what they should do is model that. Find a bunch of thirsty women who have already put their souls and their children on the internet and And we'll just, this will just be another layer to make them famous and they've got nothing to lose because they've already shared it all on social media. That's what you want. You can pay them $2. Okay. So I thought that was kind of interesting. So basically, she says, I got this show together. Just like Jack's claims he got the Valley together. He created that cast for the Valley. She, Stossi was making this cast over here in Hollywood. I thought it was going to be like mommy, like her mommy friend. or something, a whole different group of people. No, it's really just her life and her social media and her career and who works for her and who's right there. And she keeps saying, I want to be
Starting point is 00:19:26 Chris Jenner. I want to be Chris Jenner. I'm going to be the next Chris Jenner. And I'm like, okay, it's not that funny of a joke, editors. We don't need to see it like four times in every episode. We got it. You know, of course. You want to be switched and famous. And your kids will be stars and you're set for the next 30 years. I get it. It's a really great plan. Now, she's got Bo. And this is what I think happened. I think that Stasi was like, okay, I'm going to try to get this show together. And then when they were interested, she said, listen, this is who I think should be on it.
Starting point is 00:19:59 And then once they said yes, she was like, I'm going, no, we are not going to talk to these people. We are going to let all the weirdness build up, all the space between us build up. So then when the cameras come, we'll have. some real drama, some real fucking awkward moments, and then we'll have our hit season. Because she's been on reality TV so long, that's what she did. And that's where it feels a little scripted. So let's go through the cast. Most importantly, there's Bo, her husband. They have two kids, Hartford and Messer, a girl and a boy who's like, they're like four and two. He, she said, Now, he's the stay-at-home dad and, you know, he does everything.
Starting point is 00:20:42 He takes care of the doctor's appointments, the groceries, all of that, the cooking, the cleaning, everything. But it appears that the little girl goes to preschool and the boy also has a nanny. So, listen, do I think he stays home and manages a lot? Yes, so that she can travel, if she has to do a live podcast, all of that. It's hard. I can relate. I had a full-time job.
Starting point is 00:21:06 I traveled on the weekends. My husband was the one taking the kids back to school, back and forth to school, making the doctor's appointments, paying all the bills, all that kind of stuff. It is a hard dynamic to have. It is really hard on the male ego and all of that. And it is a unique dynamic and you think this is going to make a great reality show. Isn't my story unique? Wouldn't you like to see it? And I had two opportunities that remind me of this show. And And thank God, like I always said, life's rejection is God's protection because both of them didn't go. The first one I had to deal with the production company, we filmed a sizzle reel, which was going to be like my version of the real housewives. And I had my best friends on there. And I found out that they were like calling my best friend and in their interview process kind of saying, now, what are the things that bother you about Heather? What are the fights? What are the?
Starting point is 00:22:04 And like they were, you know, setting up like what would be our conflict once we start filming. Once I found that out, I was like, ooh, I don't think I want this to go. Well, luckily it didn't because I'm not Stasi. So thank God. So then the other one was, wait a minute. Another production company said, I think this dynamic is so interesting. You and your husband and the boys and your stepdaughter and oh my God, let's make this a TV show. It'll just be about your life post Chelsea lately and everything.
Starting point is 00:22:37 And we filmed all these scenes of Drake golfing, you know, because he was always with older guys with Peter, me driving Brandon around, you know, being funny and this and that. And they, you know, pitched it everywhere. And they, there was, oh, these three are really interested and da-da-da-da. These two networks want it. And then it fell apart. and it didn't happen. And a couple years later, Drake told me that he hated doing it and that if it had gotten picked up, he was just never going to speak when the cameras came around.
Starting point is 00:23:14 And I was like, oh, my God, thank God this didn't work because I would have been in such a horrible position because I basically promised that these kids that are so funny in my house are going to be so funny every day when the cameras come around and they don't want to be. Okay. These, now with this, you're putting these kids out. They're rolling around her child, Hartford and the other boy rolling around, being, throwing tantrums because you know what kids do between zero and five. They throw a lot of tantrums. They cry a lot. They whine. Okay. Because they're kids. And so we see Bo struggling with that. So then Bo's like, I want to go back to work. I really liked what I did. What did you do? Oh, I ran.
Starting point is 00:24:00 great sessions for casting. I don't know if he meant great like they were so great or if that's an expression, but big casting sessions for casting TV and movies, whatever. And she says to him, I'll just pay you what you'd make there. Why don't you, because I need you here. I'm making so much money doing all these things. It doesn't make sense for you to leave the home and work in a job that you once had. So a lot of people are talking about that. And they said, if the roles were reversed, people would be very mad that a man tells his wife, you cannot work, you need to stay home. I will just pay you for your time because I am so successful at this time. Now, I want to say I have some sympathy for Stasi in this because it is a lot to manage
Starting point is 00:24:49 where she's got all these opportunities and you've got to strike why the iron is hot. You cannot say, oh, I hope this opportunity comes back when both of the kids are in elementary school. No, it's all going to happen now. While the kids are young, it's all going to happen at the same time. In Hollywood, that's the way it works. The opportunities all come at once because right now, you're hot. And a lot of that is going to cause a lot of stress and tears. So she's like, let's get the cameras here because I'm about to freak the fuck out.
Starting point is 00:25:21 And she does. And everybody watches it. And they're like, I don't think she's changed since 20. she's still losing her mind. And Bo is suffering. And what I would suggest to Stasi is this is what I would say to Bo. First of all, nobody's doing casting sessions anymore. Have you not opened your eyes? No production is happening in Hollywood. It's a big fucking problem. So whatever job you had 10 years ago doesn't exist today. And because you haven't worked at it in 10 years, you're not going to be the one who gets the job. all the casting things, most of them happen where someone does it at home and sends it in.
Starting point is 00:26:00 And then the producer chooses it. So I don't know that there's a position for you, Bo, in the first place. But if I was Dossie, I would say, you know what, Bo, go for it. Go get a job. If you get the job at this place and you love it, you can go. Go. Hire a house manager, hire a full-time nanny, and you guys spend your weekends together. They will be fine. They will be fine. But having resentment and being bad that you as the breadwinner is resenting him for not being fucking grateful that you're bringing in all the money as the woman, because even though we're supposed to be like, no, it shouldn't matter. We still are like, yeah, every other bitch in my neighborhood is wearing Lulu Lemons and having the time of her life and not working and I'm working.
Starting point is 00:26:46 So you should be grateful. So there's a little of that. And then if he doesn't get the job, then he'll just like settle it with some hobbies and just be more chill about it and still be a great dad. But the guy is crying. He's crying like a woman suffering from postpartum depression. He's crying to her friend being like, I am miserable. And she can't get why because of the dynamic I told you. Now let's go through the cast. The cast is a little interesting and it's a little confusing. So she has her best friend, Taylor, who is late-in-life lesbian. She came on my show. She has been doing radio and podcasting for years. She met another woman named Taylor, and she's like, I think she's trying to be funny, but she's just basically like, I never thought I could be a lesbian,
Starting point is 00:27:34 but then I met her, and I wanted to kiss her, but I knew I eventually had to go down on her, so I did it. Anyway, so now we're having a baby. Okay, so they're pregnant, and she's like, I don't really want to be a mom. I only want to be a 20% parent. And if this child like screws up me relaxing on my rooftop, like getting a tan in New York because she needs milk, I'm going to be pissed. I think that's her trying to do a schick. It's not that funny.
Starting point is 00:27:59 And people don't like that she doesn't really want to be a parent. Okay. I'm sure they're both great parents. But both their names are Taylor. So that makes me weird. So they decided to just rename the pregnant one Teddy. Or maybe that's really what she goes by. Okay. Then Bo's sister is named Georgie and Stossi's sister is named Georgia or vice versa. I don't know. So we've got two Georgias and they're both sisters. And one Bo's sister is the sister that he discovered when he was 21, like his dad had sex with someone in Italy. So she's Italian and they have like weird sexual chemistry. And they, he, Bose has a lot of tattoos and Stossi freaked out because he,
Starting point is 00:28:46 put his sister's name on his body. But out of his 52 tattoos, not one says Stasi. So that happened like six months prior to filming and he still hasn't bothered to make it to the tattoo shop and just put her name on it because he's too busy, you know, playing with Barbies. I don't know. Like, I get it. He's busy and maybe he probably does resent her. It's like, fuck you. I'm not going to put your name on me or whatever. So we see that. And then there's this other guy that's Bo's best friend and they got in a fight. And I believe Stoffey told Bo, don't talk to him. Don't talk to him because in about nine months we'll start filming and it'll be that much extra weird and awkward that then when the two of you guys get together, we'll have some good moments. Because I haven't talked to Katie Maloney in three years. But I feel like now she's ready to come back on TV since it's been a while. And I don't think this. sandwich shop turned into Subway franchises. So I'm going to reach out to her and see if she wants to come back on TV. But I'm not going to talk to her until the cameras are up. So that's where it's like she knows what she's doing. And then there's a lot of, and then I think they bring up fights at
Starting point is 00:30:01 dinner that they would, that they probably had over the years. And she brings them up so that they have these big drama moments. But what the show seems to me missing is that this group isn't like funny. They're not like making us laugh or anything. So. I don't know, but it's, let me see if there's anything else I wanted to say about it. I mean, it's, but it's, it's very compelling. Like, it is a unique show. It's shot interestingly. Because we've been following her for so long, you're like, is she and Bo going to make it?
Starting point is 00:30:33 Again, if she's Chris Jenner, you don't think when Chris Jenner started the Kardashians that maybe in the back of her head, she was like, if this becomes a hit, I can get out of this marriage because he at the time Bruce was grumpy and really didn't love doing it after a while and then, you know, became a woman, but like, we don't know. So is Doste a little bit like, if this doesn't work out, I'm giving all these people an opportunity, including my husband Bo, to make more money, become an influencer, get deals. And it's all because of me. I put you on this show. So, and Kate even says, I feel like the only people in your life that matter are people that you gave birth to, married to, or are part of your
Starting point is 00:31:18 staff. Oh, and that's another thing. The person who's the head of her staff, like her main girl that like says, hey, we got this email. You got a deal. She looks just like the best friend Taylor. So it's very, but anyway. So it's on Hulu. I think it's interesting. I reached out to Stasi to see if she'd come back on the show. I have not heard from her. So I was like, I'm going to get my raw, honest opinion, as I always do. But I probably will keep watching it. I've seen some clips of Bo and Eternal Neck in which she's like crying. So we'll see. But that is my advice. Tell him to go find that job in casting that doesn't exist. And then you won't have a problem. He won't ask to work again. That's what you need to do. This episode of Juicy Scoop is sponsored by Z biotics. You guys know
Starting point is 00:32:08 I love a fabulous dinner. I love exciting cocktails and wine pairings and maybe a champagne with my dessert after. But that can make the next day a little difficult. And that's why I want to tell you about Z biotics. Zbiotics, pre-alcohol probiotic drink is the world's first genetically engineered probiotic. It was invented by a PhD scientist to tackle rough mornings after drinking. Here's how it works. When you drink, alcohol gets converted into a toxic,
Starting point is 00:32:37 byproduct in the gut. It's a build-up of this byproduct not dehydration that's to blame for rough days after drinking. Pre-alcohol produces an enzyme to break this byproduct down. Just remember to make pre-alcohol your first drink of the night, drink responsibly, and you'll feel your best tomorrow. I like to take it as I'm doing my makeup and then I drink responsibly throughout the night. I enjoy my water, but I wake up the next day feeling great. I'm going to out to a fancy dinner this Friday night, and you better believe I'm going to have my Zbiotics while I curl my hair before I leave the house. Wedding season, Bachelorette's, Rooftop birthdays, August doesn't slow down and neither do you. Pre-alcohol keeps it that way. Zbiotics.com slash juicy scoop
Starting point is 00:33:25 code juicy scoop for 15% off. Speaking of the Valley, I spoke about Jacks and his girlfriend, who was the publicist that worked for both Jacks and Brittany for 10 years. And when I was covering the Valley last week, I said, well, there are a couple now. And, you know, maybe, you know, maybe this woman's okay. And maybe they could, he could get back on the show or get some opportunity so he could contribute and pay child and spells a support to Brittany. Well, right around then, I don't know what came from. first, I see that Jacks has a sponsored ad. Smartwater. He's sitting in a jacuzzi and behind him is a big
Starting point is 00:34:12 smart water bottle. And he wrote, you know, it's hot out, stay hydrated, hashtag partnership with smart water. And I remember going, wow, this girl publicist is really good. Like she is able to get him smart water. Like Jennifer Aniston is doing smart water. Jennifer Anniston, every time I open, my feed is she's like, oh, yeah. Oh, I love that. I am thirsty. I would need to drink something. I'm feeling smart. Thank you. What are you doing? Oh, okay. She's like out of gym and people are giving her smart water. So I was kind of like, wow, that's like a really big product. This isn't like some weird, smaller product that maybe would start just advertising on social media or just put ads on a podcast. But I didn't think anything. I did not think it was, I just was like, oh,
Starting point is 00:35:02 well then Brittany was recording her podcast with Tom Schwartz who used to be one of Jack's best friend who is a cast member on the Valley and she said I just got a DM from Smartwater because people were sending to me a lot of people were sending it to her and they didn't believe that he that Smartwater would pair up with somebody with Jack's reputation and they assured her he is not a partner of ours. We did not pay him to, he is not one of our influencers, okay? So then that got out because she shared it on her show. And in this world, it went a little wild. They're like, oh my God. And then Jacks responded with a post on his page saying, you know, I was tricked. I got an offer from Smartwater. It looked. It looked.
Starting point is 00:36:00 look totally legit and he included it like this email and it was not. But I thought it was when I posted that. And, you know, this is my ex's attempt to keep me from getting work and she has talked to networks and whatnot to try to keep me from work and everything. So it was pretty funny because then a shock, Peterson made this post of Britney AI generated, of Britney. doing a similar post for Smart Water, which I thought was funny. But, you know, now it makes me think. Because remember when I said that I thought it was kind of surprising that Lori the publicist and he, which there was rumors that they had something going on a couple years ago in which Brittany shut it down and was like, no, that's not true. Well, now it makes me think when I said, wow, I'm really
Starting point is 00:36:56 surprised that they would go to a resort in Mexico with a pool that anybody in the resort could see you and they would canoodle there in which a photo of them being very close and romantic would get out if they didn't want it to. Like, why wouldn't you go to just a private Airbnb or something with your friends? Why go to this hotel? And then I thought, well, maybe they got the hotel for free because he's a publicist. Now I'm thinking this was sort of a strategic plan. In my opinion, a strategic plan that she as the publicist was doing, get the word out that they are a couple by, you know, being at this public place, probably having one of the friends take the photo and submit it to some sources, maybe not like a TMZ, but I can't remember where it started,
Starting point is 00:37:45 but maybe some smaller, like quote unquote bloggers. And to get people talking like me and other people, like could he come back? this is pretty juicy, you know, this is kind of like a scand-of-all. Like, you know, this is a woman that's been in her life for 10 years. And, but the truth is, no, you know, Brittany feels very deceived. This is a woman that she thought was a really good friend of her. So it is weird and strange. But now I don't know what is real. Maybe they really are a couple. And as a couple, they are trying to get more sponsorships for him, make it look like he had ones. A lot of new influencers will do that.
Starting point is 00:38:26 I know a housewife out here, just a regular, real housewife on TV one, that was trying to be an influencer and she would just do like, LeCroi, like take a photo of like a LeCore display at like a Ralph's and then just like hashtag partner. And I was like, I don't think you have a LaCore sponsorship when you have like, you know, a thousand followers. but whatever, it's a tactic people use. And it also lets people think that you are actually not wasting your time posting all the time, that you're actually making money.
Starting point is 00:38:58 So anyway, it all got revealed. Now, someone could say, how would he, we don't believe that he was tricked. There are fake things that come in through email. I told you, I have been asked so many times saying, would you like to be a guest on this podcast that's not similar to mine, like a inspirational speaker type guy? And he'll go look and he'll have a huge following. And they said, we would like you to be a guest on his show. It pays $3,000.
Starting point is 00:39:33 And it's a special Facebook live event. And I thought it was strange, but we followed up and then we realized it was a total scam. and in talking to the guy who was this, like, Texan inspirational speaker guy, and meanwhile, his manager has a very strong Indian accent. And I was like, I don't know. I just don't think this would be a pairing. Okay. That's what I lit up.
Starting point is 00:39:59 And then they were like, wanted me to get in my Facebook and give them access. I don't know what they would get out of my Facebook. But I found out from another comedian who fell for it, that it just kind of really fucked up his whole Facebook. I don't know if they stole followers. I don't know what. It didn't cost them money. But so those things do happen where you think you have a legit offer and you don't. It could have also been a hater that falsified this email to make it look like it came from Smartwater. Or it could have been they faked a sponsorship. They put the hashtag Smartwater to make it look like he's legit getting these big brand deals.
Starting point is 00:40:41 And then when they were caught, they faked the email to make it look like a legit one in which they were tricked by. I don't know, but that was pretty juicy. On the Valley, we finished the season out. They had the Halloween party. And Janet threw a drink on Count Danny. They all were like vampires because it was Halloween. And Danny was sitting on one couch. He was pretty drunk. First he came in and he had to do like a Transylvanian accent the whole time. And he got, you know, he was an actor, so he likes to do characters. And he is like, oh my God, Danny, can you stop with the voices? I really, okay.
Starting point is 00:41:22 And they walk in there and they know it's just bad, but they are obligated to be there. They're, you know, they have to film. And, oh, that was another thing on a, on Stasi show. Bo's like, I really don't want to go to this party and talk to my old friend. that I haven't talked to in nine months, I wouldn't go if I didn't have a call time. So when you're an actor, everyone has a call time, meaning show up on set at this time. So he's basically saying, I wouldn't even be talking to this ex-friend, had Stasi not put the show together, told me I couldn't make up with him for another nine months, so I could have a super
Starting point is 00:42:00 awkward thing at this party, which I would not go to if I didn't have a call time. Okay, getting back to the valley. So, you know, Janet doesn't like Danny. She thinks he's a drunk. She thinks he's inappropriate. And she's there with her husband. They're the most normal couple on the show. They have a nice marriage. She claims to be a part-time lesbian or bisexual and he doesn't seem to care. I don't really think that's true. But I think they're pretty like normal couple in Burbank, like having fun at David Busters and occasionally like maybe get a little wild on a Saturday. night when the sitter is there. I don't know. But anyway, so she goes to sit down and he starts pointing his finger at Janet.
Starting point is 00:42:46 And her husband goes, hey, don't point your finger at her. And he goes, I'll do whatever I like. What are you going to do with your bum leg? Because Jason, like, broke his leg playing basketball. And then she goes like, oh, shut up. And she threw a drink at Danny. And now everybody's like, is that a salt? Is that assault?
Starting point is 00:43:03 I'm like, we're talking about. Bravo TV shows where people have thrown drinks, pushed people in pools, slap them, hit them, you know, women hitting men, men hitting men, women hitting each other, like pulling weaves. We've seen it all. And Janet is completely unbothered. She's like, yeah. My only regret is that I wasn't drinking red wine, except it might have hurt Britney's beautiful outdoor couch. So that's kind of where it ended.
Starting point is 00:43:37 We have the reunion this week. It will start. And there you go. But it's kind of like who's going to stay now? Because can Janet and Jason stay with Danny and Mia? Are we going to find new people? I don't know. So, okay, reality blurb wrote an article and they said,
Starting point is 00:44:00 Real House says O.C. Shannon Mador slams Heather McDonald as obsessed after Heather posts of video suggesting she's acting clumsy for storyline. Well, this has certainly got a lot of play. I, a lot of people, not a lot. I saw probably a couple other people, certainly in my comments, say the clumsy schick is getting old. And Vicki does it too. Okay. And it just seems very put upon. So because there was some talk of it, I decided to play along with that. And, I was sitting there one day and I go, well, I don't want to do an impression of her. I don't want to get out my blonde wig and put on my platform, e-saileron platform shoes,
Starting point is 00:44:47 white jeans and a blousey black top and go, top of the morning to you, Shannon Bador. I just was like, I just feel like that's not really me. So that's where I go, oh, I'll just, this will even be easier. I don't have to get it away. I don't have to get an outfit. it. Brandy, Julie, and I had just finished recording here at the house, an episode, and we were about to go to lunch. And I'm like, before we go to lunch, I have an idea that I want to do for
Starting point is 00:45:13 a TikTok and a real. And I thought, the title would be funny. P.O.V., you know, you attend the, I don't even want to what I wrote, but the Shatimdor School of Acting, okay? And I thought really quickly of the three or four scenes that we would do. And we got through it. The whole thing from beginning to end, I did each take once and Drake edited it together. And we put it out that day and we went to lunch. What I find interesting is that she said in an interview that she was on Jamie Kennedy's show. And she's like, well, clearly she's obsessed with me. She's upset. She spent all day filming and editing that. That must have taken all day. Well, I just wanted you to know that it doesn't take all day when you're funny like me and you know
Starting point is 00:46:02 how to execute good videos and social media. And listen, I am not obsessed with you. And I'm not obsessed with Real Housewives. I've been a fan of them. I've enjoyed it. I found them fascinating. I was the first person to ever write a sketch for television in which we were the Real Housewives of New Jersey at Chelsea lately. Nobody had done it. S&L had not done it. Not. No one had done it. I did it first. Okay. So I've always found it talented, how talented these production companies are, finding these women
Starting point is 00:46:37 really, really funny. And in that, I became friends with them. I had them in my show. And I can imitate a lot of them. So it was very easy for me to do Shannon, just like it is easy for me to do Ramona and other people like that. Anyway, so she didn't like it. She is like, you know, I don't, I don't own an acting school. Oh, that's the joke. Okay. So if you, a lot of these
Starting point is 00:47:05 housewives, too, always will say, we're like Lucy and Ethel. We're like Lucy and Ethel. Like Lucy Ball. No, you're not. Okay. No two housewives. Nobody thinks you're the next Lucy and Ethel, okay, who are the queens of comedy, the first sitcom ever. Are you funny together? Yes. Do you make entertaining television? Absolutely. Do I think that, producers say that to you to get you going. Sure, they're there to coax you, be your psychiatrist, not psychiatrists, but your psychologist, your therapist, get you to say things, stir things in your mind, stir the pot, you know, make sure you say this at dinner, all of that. So, I will say that. And then she was like, well, maybe I shouldn't have taken it to a USC game.
Starting point is 00:47:53 Maybe I shouldn't have had a barbecue up my house. we were friends. We were good friends for a while. So yes, I went to a USC game with her. Yes, I went to her house and she is a great hostess and cook. But also, I headlined the Venetian doing stand-up and we got she and David Bador, the two of them, along with Jenny Poulos and her husband, that, yes, that was the group that went. We all went. We got them rooms, which we set up through my connections, and dinners and rock of ages. We also saw, they saw that play where I performed the second night. We went on, met with Jill Zarin and went on the big Ferris wheel. That was comptu. Like, are we really going to talk about everything that we did over the years? Like, it all,
Starting point is 00:48:44 it was all good until it wasn't. Okay. And then we didn't talk because we were told that we couldn't talk to each other. It wasn't that I didn't empathize with the fact that something awful was happening legally. So with that, that is why we really didn't talk, but then we kind of got to be friendly again. And then I watched the show like everybody else. And this and I come up with funny ideas and I do it and I'm a comedian and you should be able to laugh at it. So there you go. Also, this is coming up a lot because in the real house, as Vossey, Vicky, says, I think this is an upcoming episode
Starting point is 00:49:27 because I don't think I saw it, but Vicky says to Michael, her son about, it makes her sad that Michael and her other daughter, she only has two kids, Brianna don't really communicate, and he revealed somewhere in a post that he has not physically seen Brianna or the kids in eight years,
Starting point is 00:49:46 in which people really wondered, it must be because of Brianna's husband. Brianna's married to a Marine. I believe he's retired now. And there was a very famous scene from Real House with OC where it was Lydia's mother, who I believe is no longer with us. I think she passed. He's very pretty. And there was a party that they were filming at Vicki's house. And they didn't have cameras on the incident, but everybody was miced. And she went and told Vicky, I just had a really disturbing thing happen with your son. And she goes, what do you mean? And she's like, I was very tired and my feet were hurting. So I had taken off my shoes and put my feet up on the couch, just relieve my feet. And she's like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:39 She goes, and your son came in and screamed at me and told me to get my feet off the couch and get out. And she goes, like he goes, what? My son, Michael? And she goes, well, maybe it's not your son. Maybe it's your son-in-law. And then he comes around. And he's like, yeah, you're disrespecting my house.
Starting point is 00:51:00 I dare you put your feet on the couch. And Vicki's like, whoa. I mean, like, what's going on? And he goes, don't take her side, Vicki. Don't take her side. That was a brand new couch. And she had her feet up on it. And she's like, I was just, right, right?
Starting point is 00:51:14 I just, I don't understand what's going on. It is one of the most uncomfortable, disturbing thing. that I think we've, like top five awful scenes from all of the real housewives. Because you felt Vicky was walking on egg shells with this guy. And then Brianna, this is her husband. This is so uncomfortable. She's trying to diffuse a situation. And he's like, you would get mad if we put our feet on the couch.
Starting point is 00:51:42 So why are you defending her? And she's like, she's a 64-year-old woman. Like, why are you screaming in her face? and some people were like, well, you know, he did just come back from like being a combat Marine. Is this a PTSD thing? What is this? They moved to Oklahoma. They have four kids.
Starting point is 00:52:02 She looks really good. Brianna suffered from a lot of different illnesses and inflammation and like, I don't know. She had like a lot of different things or things that they couldn't figure out, which really made her not look good and kind of have a, a difficult life. Now she's like really fit, healthy. They love their life in Oklahoma. They're still married. And of course, this is what sucks about reality TV is that this is left there forever. We can bring it up. We can watch it again. Hence why they probably don't want to come to the OC, ever be on camera again. You know, he's probably so pissed that this exists, even though he behaved badly. And Michael said, according to, you know, somebody that he like was talking to, he said,
Starting point is 00:52:52 I was going to come out. There was a time I wasn't too far. And I wanted to meet the two other kids that I've never met. He only met the first two older ones. And she's like, now is not a good time that you come. That's what Brianna said to him, allegedly. You know, that can be the case where you're with someone like that and you just think, I just would rather not. rock the boat because if the boat gets rocked, that affects everything. It affects my kids and everything. And this is not a good time for my brother to come after all these years. I hope that this makes her open her eyes and say, you know what? Like, why don't I come by myself, bring the kids, do a Disneyland trip. Now, he does live in Spain. So I don't know that she'll
Starting point is 00:53:37 see him. And I know they do see Vicky. But, you know, or she just reaches out and just starts talking to him on the phone. Like, maybe you don't physically need to see each other. I don't know. But it's, that was really interesting. The rest of the show, oh, my God, Heather Debrough, Shannon Bador, Tamara and Vicky, they all go whale watching in Newport. And the most exciting part was seeing the whales and the dolphins. I don't even know if that was like all filmed on the same day because they didn't even get a
Starting point is 00:54:09 private boat. They had to go with like a bunch of other people. Like it was just very like, I was like, why are. I don't they have a private boat. And in it, guess what they talked about? Our friendship. I don't know. I don't know, Tamara. I don't know if I'm ready to go back to how it is. I can be nice. I can be cordial. But I've got boundaries. And I'm not just going to be like, oh, best friends again. I don't think you ever were best friends. Like, did we all watch the same show? I don't think you ever were all best friends. I think you lived through something. You worked together.
Starting point is 00:54:41 that you had a show together, but you don't like each other. You're backstabby. You talk shit. You know, like, it's just boring. That part is boring. We don't want to talk anymore about your friendships. Like, I don't know anybody that age, my age or older, like that talk about their friendship and getting friendships. That's not what Housewives was about. It wasn't all about these stupid friendships. It's so boring. It's so boring. boring to talk about your friendship. Like, just go do something, have something else happen in your life that's fucking juicy that then the other people can talk about. I don't know. It is, I don't remember what happened else in the show. Oh, there's a new girl, Carmela, and she said
Starting point is 00:55:28 she did a real estate deal in which she redid a house and made $1.4 million on. And then Vicki's like, I don't know, that's true. Maybe she's, I think she's the receptionist at the real estate office. I don't know. How do I know if she's a flip-flopper or a developer or whatever? Who knows? And she's like, so that's what's going to be next week? Like, what? And then the other big story is that the rich girl, the new girl, Carmelah, who can afford a $35,000 a month rent because it's worth it if she can get on this show, which is what she's doing. So she has to live in Corona del Mar, O.C. area so that she can get on the show. So she gets Emily a Dior clutch with a dick in it, you know, like a vibrator as a funny joke. And now that we've got to talk about that for the next three
Starting point is 00:56:15 episodes, it was a joke. And do I think it's a real, do you or a clutch? Sure. But could it be a fake one? Yeah, it could have been a fake one for like 300 bucks. And then, you know, whatever. But I think she probably bought a real one just in case it would get discovered. And they're like, what are you trying to buy a friendship? Like, huh, anyway, there you go with that. Oh, so I'm I'm getting a lot of comments under my posts. And this happens when this comes back in the news. So as you know, Fauci is being interrogated. And no matter how you feel about that, I just want you know, I am getting a lot of comments
Starting point is 00:56:58 because it's up in the news again. And for those of you that don't know, I had a viral video happen when I was on the Tempe improv stage. And I came out and I jokingly said, I listed all of my vaccinations and I said, just to make everyone feel safe, I've been, I've had the double shot boosted, meaning the COVID, the flu shot, and I'm kind of also had my first shingle shot too. And I've never had COVID. So clearly, Jesus loves me the most.
Starting point is 00:57:34 Joking is what I joke about. I'm a comedian. I'm on stage. And that's when I started seeing spots. And I've never felt that before. And I stepped to the side to just kind of get it going because I had two shows at night, two meet and greets. And next thing I knew, I woke up on the ground with some hot paramedics around me.
Starting point is 00:57:53 Okay. That went viral. And it keeps coming back around whenever this gets in the news. And people think that I were mocking people that got a lot of vaccinations. and that was not the case. I got those vaccinations because in order to work at these comedy clubs, that was required. You had to be vaccinated. You had to be vaccinated.
Starting point is 00:58:22 I had to bring my vaccination card in order to work. I did that. I tried to make light of it on stage because we were all living. COVID jokes killed. You know why COVID jokes killed? Why it worked? Why it was an eat because of low-hanging fruit? Because everyone could relate.
Starting point is 00:58:36 It was the one thing. everyone could relate to was COVID. Sometimes you do parent jokes and not everyone can relate because they're not a parent, you know, or dating or marriage, whatever. COVID, everyone had their COVID experience and it was very fun to make fun of. So that's what I was doing. Okay. And that's what happened.
Starting point is 00:58:57 And I just want to tell people, I was never mocking anybody. I was never on either side of the thing. I got the shots because I had to. in order to work and I wanted to work. Okay. So there you go with that. Last thing I wanted to say is Frank Cantina, Dolores Cantina's son from Real House of New Jersey, got married. They featured in People Magazine. He's very good looking. His wife is absolutely stunning. They did it in Portugal. And Dolores was walked down the aisle by her fiance, Pauly, the Irish. and then her ex-husband, Frank, senior, he also walked his wife down the aisle.
Starting point is 00:59:44 I don't know if Teresa went. I looked on her page. If she went, she didn't post photos. Maybe she didn't go because sadly they are suffering a horrible tragedy. Melania's like best friend died in a freak accident with her friends. she fell on a trip and passed. So maybe they were planning and going and didn't go because of that. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:00:12 But coincidentally over the weekend, I was at the opening of Lucky's. They have a new location in the Arts District of L.A. And Dina Manzo was there with her husband. And if you guys, remember, if you don't, had one of my best interviews of the past 11 years was with Dina Manzo, one of the original houseways of Real Housewif. New Jersey. And she came up to me. She's so pretty. Her husband's very attracted. They were so nice and fun. They loved going to the luckies in Montecito. So they were friends with the general manager. They came. And hopefully we will, you know, see them again or get together or whatever.
