Juicy Scoop with Heather McDonald - Oscar Parties and Dr. Drew on Scandavol

Episode Date: March 14, 2023

I went to Ocean Kent’s 2nd birthday party! Her mom Lala threw the party. All the present and past Vanderpump Rules cast members, plus their adorable offspring, were there. I, of course, discussed Sc...andavol over birthday cake with some of them. Then I interviewed Jill Zarin, fresh from the Elton John and Vanity Fair Oscar parties. She tells us what attending these exclusive Hollywood Uber-wealthy events is like. She shares who she spoke to, from Oscar winners to Real Housewives, both current and fired. Then Dr. Drew is in the studio with me. I ask him why someone like Tom Sandavol cheats. What was Raquel’s motivation? How do narcissistic behavior and traits play into infidelity? Can you stay in a successful relationship with a narcissist? This is a packed Juicy Scoop episode! Enjoy! It's it fast to the number one tabloid real life hot cat listen in Loser. Oh, Oh,
Starting point is 00:00:26 Hannah McDonald Juicy Scoop. Hello and welcome to juicy Scoop. I have the best show. I had a crazy fun weekend that involved Oscars, Vanderpump Rules, Private Party and so much more. And then I get an interview with Jill Zaron who went to the Elton John and the Vanity Fair Oscar parties, telling us fresh off like all the scoop and who she ran into. And I also have a great interview with Dr. Drew, at least the first part of it where we're
Starting point is 00:00:59 going to talk about cheating, narcissism, his opinion of the scandal of all situation and what makes someone a cheater or not, how to live with a narcissist, it's really juicy. So let's get into it. So my week and began on Saturday afternoon at three o'clock, where I was invited to a very exclusive birthday party for Ocean Kent, Lala's two-year-old daughter. And it was really fun. It was one of those indoor playplaces that came popular when my kids were little, so easy. So kids are contained, they're playing. And so it was private. And it was, but really just so fun for the kids.
Starting point is 00:01:34 Ocean is adorable. She's very like, hi, gives me a hug. And is very much like Lala. Like she was about to go down the slide and she was a little scared. And then when I went down to catch her, she was like, all right, I'm good then. As long as you're there, like I'm good to go. And then Sheena came with her daughter Summer who was dressed as Boo because the theme was
Starting point is 00:01:56 Monsters Inc. And the girls are best friends. And she ran right up to her and was like, come for it. And let me show you all the happening here. So everybody was there. So Kristen Dodie showed up and she, you know, was very into the kids and happy to be there. We know now that she's filming with Vanderpump
Starting point is 00:02:15 and she's very close to Ariana and being a great support system. So we're gonna see some of her in these, you know, these instantaneous episodes that have happened since the scandal. All Stasi was there looking great. She's showing, she's pregnant. in these instantaneous episodes that have happened since the scan of all. Stasi was there looking great, she's showing, she's pregnant, she was there with Bo
Starting point is 00:02:30 and her daughter Hartford, who is so cute, but no longer a red head, she's got like longer like sandy, blonde, brown hair and really cute. Jackson Brittany showed up there a little bit later, you know how it is with kids and their son is like a model, like he has, he's so cute. So all the kids are playing. And I talked to Katie and I couldn't help but give my opinion of what I think went down.
Starting point is 00:02:58 And you know, she is saying what we're hearing in the news and that Santa Vall knew, but only, I mean, sorry, shorts knew about the scandal, but only very recently and recently we don't know what that means a month, a few weeks, two months. I truly think, and I've said this theory, but I said it, say it again, I think something was going on at Coachella, whether it was flirtiness or some sparks or full blown affair. I don't know, which is April of this past year in which some fan had given to do more whoever.
Starting point is 00:03:33 And then the rumor went like wildfire that Raquel was seeing kissing shorts. We know now shorts was not at Coachella, but Santaval was and there's now images of Raquel on SantaVall's shoulders. There's an old episode of where Ariana says how they first fell in love and went to Coachella together and she knew it was special when SantaVall said, get on my shoulders. It is just, so I think someone saw the two of them kiss missed mixed up the last names as I often do and Then I think Santaval Kind of said, you know since this is the narrative that's floating around the fans that you got together with Schwartz
Starting point is 00:04:16 Now that we're filming and at summertime Why don't you pursue Schwartz and then I think he told Schwartz which Schwartz has also said in an interview shorts and then I think he told shorts, which shorts is also said in an interview. Santaval made me make out with her and I think shorts was just hoodwinked for a while. And so I think he's devastated. They caught him at the airport and he said, I'm, you know, he's careful about what he's saying. And they said, how do you, how do you think Santaval's feeling? And he's like, I think he's feeling like a piece of shit as he should and They were both scheduled to go on winter house
Starting point is 00:04:54 It is my opinion and I believe that shorts is going to winter house and Santa Ball is not and This is just all me talking as someone who's just you know in Seeing stuff, okay, so no hold me to it and um so anyway, it was That everyone had fun. It was about the kids. It was really fun and what was also really great is that Ocean sisters were there and so was Amber who is he who shall not be named first wife So these are ocean's Sisters and they were there and here's a photo of These are Oceans Sisters and they were there and here's a photo of Amber and Lala and all three girls and they were so cute and playing with Oceans.
Starting point is 00:05:31 So it was really, really fun to watch that. It was just very low key in all the people in her life that matter. So I was really happy to be there. I love that kind of stuff and it was really fun. So then the next day, um, okay, let's see. So the next day I went to the Beverly Hills Hotel because Jill Zaren was staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel because she got invited to these Oscar parties, which you're going to hear all about. So I tried to wear an outfit that worked with the pink and green aesthetic of the Beverly Hills Hotel. And here I am looking cute.
Starting point is 00:06:07 So that was really fun. Then I read that share who is dating AE. Ki of course is Amber Rose's former boyfriend and father of her second child. They have been dating. There's a 40 year age difference, I think, for the out 40 years. And people are saying that shares $360 million fortune is dwindling, as she 76-year-olds
Starting point is 00:06:30 flurges on the boy to a AE, friends claim. Well, obviously, I'm very close to them because then share it let me her Oscar outfit. And Peter and I went to the Oscars that night. I think God I've been dieting and I could wear this outfit. No, this is a great girl named Heather Fakes it and she does really great. Fun photoshopping for me. Unfortunately, I did not get to go to the Oscars but I came home and watched them and then as you're going to hear it gets a scoop from Jill who was in the thick of it. For so let's just do some fashion. I absolutely loved loved Halle Bailey who is the new princess. The she is Ariel.
Starting point is 00:07:15 I loved her dress. She's a young beautiful girl and she wore such a gorgeous blue flowy dress. It was perfect for her persona as a princess and it was perfect for her age and she looks stunning and it was modern but not showing too much. There's a lot of cutouts and a lot of see-through, which I was not a fan of. Oh my gosh. Well, killing it was Cara Delavine, who is a model and she's beautiful, but remember we saw her like strung out and people were worried about her. She has admitted that she was struggling with drugs and alcohol and it looks like she is doing
Starting point is 00:07:50 so much better and she wore the kind of Oscar dress that I would want to wear. Stunning red, one great leg. If you got a great leg, one or two, but you only need one. She does, stuck it out. I love that she did a red strappy sandal with it, and jewels, and like one sleeve, so it was flowing, and it was big, but it was not overwhelming, and of course she's stunning. So she looked, and I love that there was a pocket involved. So great.
Starting point is 00:08:18 This was awful. Florence Pew from, don't worry, darling. The worst. Basically, she wore black shorts with pockets, like that you, you know, get from Alice in Olivia or whatever, like real short shorts, and then put it with some like high black platform pumps. And then took like her dovet,
Starting point is 00:08:38 like her dovet cover off of her bed and took the blanket out of it and then wrapped it around herself. And then when she presented, she made sure she had her hand in her pocket. It was really weird. And again, I'm sorry. Your legs aren't that great. Sorry, they're fine. They're fine. You have a gorgeous face. But if your leg is not like your greatest asset on your body, I don't think we have to see it Oscar night. I think what's great about
Starting point is 00:09:04 a big fancy red carpet is that, you know, you we have to see it Oscar night. I think what's great about a big fancy red carpet is that you show off the parts that are great. It's not bad, it's just not your best. You compare the legs, okay? There's Kara, Kara's leg, and then there's her leg. We didn't need to see your leg. Then we have Ashley Graham, who is a gorgeous model. She was doing interviewing on the red carpet, which I'll get into. She did really well. This picture is really cool
Starting point is 00:09:31 from page six. But again, I did not like this outfit that much too many cutouts. And she did the trend that everyone's doing where you just wear like a pair of black underwear. And it's sheer like what you'd wear at the pool. I'm not into it, no matter what your body type is, I don't think this is a look for the red carpet, but she did really well in her interviewing, especially because she had to interview Q Grant and it was so awkward and cringey. I saw it and I just, she was trying so hard.
Starting point is 00:10:04 So he comes up and listen, like she's probably got an earbud into, so she's probably getting some help from her producer. But if he comes with a mic given from the, like he's ready to talk, right? So she's doing all she's supposed to do. So she says, Hugh Grant, you're a veteran of the Oscars and you've been here a few times. What's your favorite thing about comedy the Oscars? And he's like already annoyed all right, and he's like, uh, well, it's fascinating the whole humanity is here. It's vanity fair Okay Like like he's like who doesn't get to go here? Well a lot of people don't so then she says What are you most excited to see the night? Are you excited to see anyone win? Your hope's up for anyone?
Starting point is 00:10:46 No, no one in particular. Anyone that's ever taken an improv class, this guy would fail it. It's like this is the opposite of yes and add some information. She goes on, keeps trying. Well, what are we wearing tonight then? Grant, just like suit.
Starting point is 00:11:04 Your suit, well who made it? Grant, just my suit. Your suit? Well, who made it? You didn't make it. She's trying so hard. My Taylor! Alright, at this point I'd be like, alright, fucker, you go have fun, but she keeps trying. Shout out to the Taylor! What does it feel like to be in glass? Onion, it was such an amazing film.
Starting point is 00:11:22 I really loved it. I loved a thriller. How fun is it to shoot something like that? Grant. Well, I'm barely in it. I'm in it for about three seconds. Okay, better Betty. Like, really? Then she goes on, but still, you showed up
Starting point is 00:11:36 and you had fun, right? And he's like, oh, almost. Thank God, she's like, well, you go have a good time. I mean, I loved the moment because it was awkward and she just kept going. So she can do the red carpet every year for the Oscars. She did a great job. Just wasn't in love with the dress.
Starting point is 00:11:55 Okay. So moving on, I didn't love Jennifer Connelly's dress. She, of course, is in top gun. It's almost like she had this black strapless dress, not strapless, but it was like a bar that went like across the boobs and over the arms. And then she just added like a piece of cardboard with some jewels on it. I thought it was weird. Sorry, I thought it was weird.
Starting point is 00:12:16 Now, Mindy Kaling has really had a glow up and she looks absolutely gorgeous. She's lost a lot of weight. We don't know how she lost the weight. We, and she, her face is like a definitely better than what it was on the office. And I'm reading some of the comments and people are just like kind of, there's a lot of people that are just not thrilled that this girl is now gorgeous. And I just wanna say I am, because Mindy Kaling is super talented, super funny, really nice, and she had a glow up.
Starting point is 00:12:51 Like, you know, there's a lot of gorge people that are gorgeous from the time they're born and have style and everything, and they become rich because they are gorgeous and people hand them stuff, and they get married or whatever, they marry Rich, and they, so what whatever they marry Rich and they so what's wrong with being so successful and rich that you can also help buy some of the glow up and the beauty. So I am saying look has she had some work done? Yes has she lost some weight?
Starting point is 00:13:18 We don't know how who cares she deserves to enjoy her hard work and look frickin' hot and have this time as a young mother who is rocking abs and sheepbones and lips and a better nose and all of it and I'm all here for it. The one thing I'm not here for is that she got to wear two outfits, one on the red carpet and one she wore white, which I thought looks stunning on her.
Starting point is 00:13:42 And then she did the exact same dress in black, the exact same cutout style. And I just kind of was like, I don't know, girl, like you should have done a different one. That's my opinion, but she looks good. This girl, what is her name? 10, 10, 10, T-E-M, and she sang the movie, she sang the song in Black Panther. And she has a stunning girl as well as really being great singer, but she had this big white outfit on, and it kind of came up behind her head, not a hat, but like a collar that went all the way up to over her head. And then she sat in the audience all night. She didn't change her outfit. And this would have been when I would have said, you should, that, that, what would have worked
Starting point is 00:14:28 is if it was like a remove, sorry. If it was like a removable thing or something or you had a whole nother dress fits show, like change with the right, because people were definitely talking about, hate to be the bother next to Tim's in the Oscar audience fighting for his life. So, hate to be the brother next to him.
Starting point is 00:14:45 So, one person next to her couldn't see the person, a couple of people behind her couldn't see. You definitely weren't thinking about sitting there. Jimmy Kimmel then did his opening, which I thought was really, really good. There were some edgy moments he brought up Will Smith. He brought up Elron Hubbard. He talked about how Tom Cruise
Starting point is 00:15:06 and James Cameron didn't come, even though they begged people to come to the movie theaters, and then they couldn't sit through three and a half hour show. But the reason Tom Cruise wasn't there is that he is doing Mission Impossible 8 overseas. I still think if you wanted to come, it's Mission Impossible 8, you're the star, you're the producer, you could have said, for these four days, we're going to shut down production so I can go to the Oscars. He just didn't want to go. He doesn't care and he didn't want to go for whatever reason, maybe because you know, he didn't want to be in any weird situation. Nicole Kidman was there, his ex too, not that there's any weirdness between them, but I think there probably is.
Starting point is 00:15:42 to not that there's any weirdness between them, but I think there probably is. So I thought he did a really good job. However, there really wasn't any other comedy throughout the rest of the night. No presenters did any jokes. It was just his monologue, which I think was really good writing and he did a good job. But other than that, however, the ratings were up
Starting point is 00:16:01 from last year and so, and was the most of all the award show season, which obviously it's the biggest one, so it would be. So then Angela Bassett was up against for best supporting actress Jamie Lee Curtis. And when she did not win and the camera was on her, she couldn't fight her disappointment, which I look, I always thought it was so weird when I was a little girl, how tap you had to be fit that he deserved it. No, she wasn't happy and she was like, mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:16:33 She did not like that. She always looks gorgeous. She was in this purple color. Jamie Lee, who does kind of bug me this award season, which I love that SNL made fun of her on Saturday. That Chloe, who is such a brilliant impersonator on the show did her. And it's just like that enthusiasm and like, I am, but I do believe she is that excited. I don't need to see her on Real House.
Starting point is 00:16:59 I was at Beverly Hills anymore, anything like that, but I'm glad she won. And her speech was very, very giving. She's like, everybody, this is, we won an Oscar, all of the cast, all of this, of a, thank your parents to recognizing, she's a nipple baby, recognizing her kids and her husband. So, and she looked pretty. So, I say, yes, she did well. And then Michael B. Jordan and Jonathan Majors, they came out to present the first thing they said was like Hi, Auntie or something like that kind of recognizing to Angela Bassett that like you should have won and We're just gonna throw that out there and that went that was viral and trending on Twitter
Starting point is 00:17:41 God my god, she looks so good in this purple dress Look, I mean she is just beyond stunning and her necklace. Oh, everything. Okay. Then this is when I was compelled to do a TikTok and a real and a stories, not until this point of watching the show by myself. So I saw Lady Gaga come out on the right carpet and her body's banging and she wore this kind of interesting dress that is basically showing the whole butt. So it's like in the front, it's a black corset and sheer nis and then it goes all the way just so you see full like ass crack but there is like a cover of the ass crack kind of weird in the back and I'm showing it here. Very, very weird.
Starting point is 00:18:27 It's almost like, you know, when guys wear their pants like pass their butt cheeks. Better body's banging and she'll gorgeous and she had a full, full face of makeup and her hair back in a French bag. Great. So then she comes to sing this song and she's wearing a black t-shirt and ripped jeans and she's got her band and she does great speech about like being your own hero. And then I'm like, oh, first of all she is stunning. She looks great. She's beautiful skin. She completely washed off her makeup. I mean washed off
Starting point is 00:18:58 every eyelash didn't even do a tinted moisturizer. Had it had likeapped lips, didn't even do like a Vaseline, okay, just complete raw. And all I'm just thinking about is like, you were just in the audience during the Jimmy Kimmel, you had to run and everyone's like, what, what makeup wipes did you use? Because it usually takes me, if I do a full face makeup, I wash off my face, then I do a wipe, then I do like another like little other wipe wipe and I'm still getting makeup off. So I mean, it took a lot to get it off. And I thought she looked great. I just thought it was really brave and really different and it totally makes sense because
Starting point is 00:19:33 in the past when she's performed, like I think she performed with when when Star's born was up, you know, she had her big gorgeous gown. She was all was up. You know, she had her big gorgeous gown. She was all done up. And so, however, she felt to choose this of like, this doesn't, I want this song to be this or I really want to show this pretty side of me or it's kind of great because everyone got to see you drop dead gorgeous for this. And then we get to see you in this like rock and roll raw way. However, I would not take off that beat face that took three hours. And I'm the first to admit that I wouldn't. So, who does to you, girl? Yeah, here you can
Starting point is 00:20:11 see her makeup and everything. So, okay, then K-Chestay looks stunning with her long red hair and her dress. And Halle Berry came out to present her best actress. And I did not like Halle Berry's hair. It was like covering her eye, and she's a perfect face. So I never want to see anything cover your face. And her body is banging, and she does have a great leg. But again, it was cutouts, and then it was like this white outfit, and then it just felt like someone went to Michaels and just threw some flowers in some random places
Starting point is 00:20:44 that weren't meant to be there. So not in my favorite Halle Berry look, but it was really beautiful that Michelle Yo won for everything everywhere that one. That was nominated 11 times, won seven Oscars, best supporting, best supporting, actress, best supporting, actor and best actress. I think for screenplay, best supporting, actress, best supporting,
Starting point is 00:21:05 actor and best actress. I think for screenplay, it was, I did not see it. A few of my friends said they couldn't get into it. But Brandon, my 17 year old loved it. He watched it on the playing ride for Mercuristic Vacation. And so I do think what's kind of cool is, now I do want to go back and watch it. And I think that it is kind of for a younger generation,
Starting point is 00:21:26 which is what some movies need to be catering more to to get people like extra interested in it. So it was great. And of course, she's an Asian woman. She is an older woman. She's an immigrant. And like, I think that was really special. And what I loved is that the end of her speech, she said to all the women out there, don't let anyone tell you that you're past her prime, which I don't know what's going on with Don Lemon, but let's just all remember that he's a huge dick, okay? He was, he's just not a fan of him anymore.
Starting point is 00:21:59 So she did wonderful and people are cheering for her and she's beautiful. Nicole Kidman looked absolutely gorgeous and she was making out with Keith Urban all over and was unapologetic about it. Good for them. I mean, you know, they're making it work. They've been married a long time, so, but it was a little weird to make out. A lot of see-through stuff.
Starting point is 00:22:23 I'm just going to go through all these girls. This girl, I mean, full-vad showing, I mean, she has a nude like spank's underneath, but like, it's a lot of nakedness, a lot of naked dresses, a lot of sheer dresses, and a lot of with just like a bikini top and like almost like half your dress is missing. Who's this chick again?
Starting point is 00:22:41 Olivia Wilde, I mean, I don't know. I mean, listen, people want to be talked about. So just a lot of sheer stuff that I'm not into full ass out. Oh, by the way, I just saw Page Six was following black China and black China is at a plastic surgeon's office right now to get her butt taken down. And she said, this is not a product of a BBL. A BBL is where you get your own fat removed from parts of your body you don't want
Starting point is 00:23:10 and put in your ass. She got silicone filler in her ass starting at 19. And she's going into a new direction, a smaller ass direction. And she is getting that removed and she highly recommends that you do not do Billor in your ass only your own fat in your ass. So that's a public service announcement. Thank you Black China, okay, okay, so now
Starting point is 00:23:36 Here is my interview with Jill Zarin. Also adding strength and softness and shine, it's just that special combination of their products that just help to enrich. Starting point is 00:25:05 Go to thewaytheuai.com and use code juci for 15% off your entire purchase. That's thewaytheuai.com code juci. you see. Jen Zaren, fresh from the Oscars, the 95th Oscars, girl, we were together at Burley Hills Hotel while you were getting ready. I told you to do your hair up like Pamela Anderson. It looked really good. I could. Amazing. She did a great job.
Starting point is 00:25:40 I would totally give you his phone number if you need him. He was amazing. Okay. So tell us a little bit how you got invited to the party. What party you went to when you left just go for it. Okay, so some friends of mine from Texas invited us to the Elton John party, their big donors, and they actually bought the best table in the room. There's probably like a thousand people there on the table and sections. We were literally in front of the microphones, like literally the first table in front of the stage.
Starting point is 00:26:11 Behind us was everybody else, like, look, she was behind us. Everybody, it's not that it was a bad table, she's playing the table. And Heidi Klum was at her table behind us. It's like with the biggest table. So that's like how you start the night on desk. Okay, wait. So I just wait. I just want to be clear for the people. So you were with the Sutton of the night who bought the table because she's a big donor. And you, Jill's there at a housewife are not going to say that Elton John personally invited you or that you paid. Correct.
Starting point is 00:26:42 I did not pay. I paid compliments and I paid things. Okay. So you so you leave the Beverly Hills hotel with your friends, you go in a big car and you go to where is the car? They have the fancy like like the fanciest. What do they call them? Not an absolute. They call the bigger one of their clothing.
Starting point is 00:27:04 It's fine. I have to speak carbon as TVs and all the stuff And did you bring and did you bring your dog bossy? You know what I did not I know I know I know it's a little bit of a thing. No, I'm not I think I think it's appropriate But the dog did not come Okay, so you you have to leave it three and where do you where does it drop you off at the dinner at the At the party where you now are gonna watch the Oscars on a big screen and have dinner. Okay, correct So it's in West Hollywood don't have to wear but it was like a fucking lot that they turned to go big Pented thing. So it wasn't a building. It was literally a building building out of ten
Starting point is 00:27:44 No multiple ten. Okay, so you building out of 10 the little multiple 10 Okay, so you get out of the car you do you do the red carpet first Do the pretty long red carpet, you know, no, actually there was a step-and-repeat a short step-and-repeat And then there was a long red carpet So I did both and it was great I just went to use with the and some of us, you know, used to outless But listen, I'm not the star there, right? This is not, there's a lot of star at all, but it's not TV. This is movies.
Starting point is 00:28:11 This is the Oscar. So they're looking for the people who are nominated or for the winners, and things like that. Yeah, but nobody has to do that. Even interviews. Maybe I was flattered. So there were some former like Oscar people there, but obviously they didn't, because I would think if I was not being nominated And it had been a long time or whatever. I would rather go to something like this and enjoy watching the show that being stuck in the Dolby Theatre. I hate to tell you you're not invited in other words like somebody who's not nominated just because they say when nominated ten years ago, they couldn't go if they wanted to go. Okay, well, I know what I'm talking about. Every student that plays has a,
Starting point is 00:28:48 no, every student in the Oscars has a reason. And most of its people who are being nominated and their families stick it in, come on, there's all this other stuff. So, listen, I'm sure if you're a winner, from the winners get asked back to present. So there's a lot of presenters there. But I mean, someone who was on 20 years ago couldn't even go if they wanted to go. Okay there's a lot of presenters there, but I mean someone who was on 20 years
Starting point is 00:29:05 ago couldn't even go if they wanted to. Okay, so let's, so let's, we didn't want to go. Like I said, some of the, you would you go to the Oscars honestly, if I'm not nominated, why? Okay, yeah, you're 55 before I was. Okay, your dress that you borrowed was a gorgeous couture of completely beaded dress, but I held it and it was about 30 pounds. How was that on your body all night? How uncomfortable were you? You know what? I was fine, comfortable, fine, except it started to bother me.
Starting point is 00:29:33 I still have it. It looks like I hung myself. I literally have a mark. I'll show you a picture. I have a stand down forming on my neck. It looks like I got shook by a hungover rope because the metal started to, I was on it for eight hours. It started to hang on my shoulders, my neck, it was started to cut into pieces.
Starting point is 00:29:48 But it was heavy, but I was okay. Okay, I was okay. We started to hurt with my, but I vanity there, I had every ball of fish shoes, funny, there's the same, there's a picture going around the world, the daily veil of the winner of the supporting actor, Oscar, and they have a picture of him
Starting point is 00:30:03 stepping down and that in and out, broke her hours in the actor. And guess who's right behind him? Why? With my shoes off? And I didn't even know it. Like I'm not, it's not even a photo bomb. I'm like, hey, I'm here. Like you, but you know, what you did, you didn't, you didn't wear your red Jimmy shoe shoes. I saw you chose white. Why? I did it because I didn't want to tension the feet. I want to tension the dress. Okay. So you get
Starting point is 00:30:28 into the place and what's happening first the cocktail hour walk around shmuz who do you talk to? At the cocktail hour there weren't too many select reviews. I ran into Khrushchev from selling fun set and I was with her for a little while talking who else that I need in the beginning? Not many. So I got some good things to take into me that was great. And then Elton John has the last line, so he has this like 360 thing.
Starting point is 00:30:53 I don't want to spend the line for, but I see some people did. And then that was about an hour and a half. I probably got there too early, but we didn't know. You know, so we got there at let's say four, or whatever, probably don't have to get there so far. I mean, it was no food. It was very little food. I'm all about the food. I don't drink But there's no food like white so there's no past apps, but there was a sit-down dinner right? They were they were but it was not you know easily found. Okay, I did find but not easy
Starting point is 00:31:20 Okay, but it was fine Then we go into the main room and like I said there's now 100 tables dry-gampish and it's beautifully set up and the They have I have I took home like the I could such a picture stuff I think I posted ticket and the menu and look and the whole thing and they had a hundred like TVs all around the room and big Squeezy come watch the Oscars and actually what was so nice is you could speak during the Oscars. It was no problem. Nobody would touch you. Okay, so now you're at your great table. I saw that Kyle Mauricio Doree, what was happening at the real Oscars? It was interesting. It was very funny. It was too far-right. Elton John was in the middle of the table. And then on the other side of him was a half-spice
Starting point is 00:32:05 table and it was Diana Jenkins sponsored the event. She looked beautiful. I met her for the first time in person. I asked her if she had a baby because I hadn't followed up with her. She did. She had a baby. She had a little girl. I think she was trying to have a baby the last time we saw her, right?
Starting point is 00:32:21 No, I think she is. Wait a minute. Can you look up Annie what is Diane Jenkins pregnancy thing I think she got pregnant with the second one I don't know we're gonna look up anyway that's my point right you don't know either you're the expert I don't know either so I think she is I wasn't putting my foot in my mouth so I know she had had a miscarriage I think so I said did you have a baby and she said yes she had okay she had a miss she had a a miscarriage, I think. So I said, did you have a baby? And she said, yeah, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:32:45 She had, okay, she had a miscarriage since the baby that she had. So maybe you shouldn't have asked. Anyway, who cares, okay? No, I said, anyway, so the point is, she was so nice and so warm and I answered, so, listen, the host who brought me my friend Amber Louise.
Starting point is 00:33:01 Such a class act, beautiful, you met her yesterday. Yes, well, it's absolutely drop dead in the scoochy couture. Like God knows, it was probably 30 grand. I have no idea what it was, but it was really beautiful. And I have to tell you, she was the star of the room in terms of the outfit. Like everybody was looking at her. And she wanted to meet celebrities. Of course she did. So anybody we would meet or whatever, she said, be like, I've been looking at your dress the whole night. You know, and it just made her feel so good. I have to say, how's good of the night? Those two, okay. Lisa Rina in Couture, I forgot his name, not Valentino, it's like a we say. I saw that outfit. For Galeano, Galeano, I think it's Gale I know but don't kill me for wrong. It was the sickest thing. First of all her body is I hate her
Starting point is 00:33:48 Her hair is beautiful. I know they were doing something about her hair and friends her hair was gorgeous and thick and you know gorgeous She gave me like the nice compliment. I have to tell you when she I should be sitting down when I said hello And she said to her husband Harry hapline who's like oh my god Says this is Jill Darren. She's the OG of the OG when I said hello and she said to her husband Harry Haplan, who's like, oh my God, says, this is Jill Daron, she's the OG of the OG She's the best. And I was like, I'm gonna draw it. And he gave me a big smile. And then she admitted, and then I got a blog right then,
Starting point is 00:34:13 and she says to him, all around the room, she's from her. And he's like, oh my God, I love those rugs. And I said, well, give me four just for me. JillDaronRugs.com, I have the rugs, it's the season. Anyway, she loves my rugs. She had a lot of show. I was like, I disagree with her.
Starting point is 00:34:27 I disagree with your opinion of her outfit. I thought, I know it's probably couture and this and that. I thought it was so confusing and weird because it looks like you took it looks like you took the dress out of your closet and held it up against yourself. I'm a hero. Look, so you saw that. That's supposed to saw, I know it was supposed to be that. I mean, that's for coutures, right? That's something weird.
Starting point is 00:34:51 You know, all right. Well, you listen, she wants to be the officer. Sorry, when would you wear that? When would you wear a soldier like that? The thing, but she's smart because she wants to be talked about. And if she just wore like a beautiful black strapless dress at like where she looks stunning and beautiful, no one would talk about it. Do you still wear?
Starting point is 00:35:09 I'm stunning and beautiful. I don't remember the dress. Do you know what I mean? Like I'll never forget what we saw in a war. And by the way, what you don't see is the back. The back for body, it's completely naked. I don't know how it stayed on her. I think the street must keep it on.
Starting point is 00:35:22 There was nothing on her back from the top to the bottom and the most gorgeous back. I know she doesn't have any. No back, but. Nothing, nobody's that. But not for not owning. She not for me. It was like a perfect back.
Starting point is 00:35:34 Her hands, she had in gloves. And at the tips of the fingers were like, you know, when you knit, one of those metal things pulled. Some nails. You know, on all the thumbnails. It was like this metal tips on the fingernails on the fingers of the glove. It was and she showed it. She's like, what could these look? It was just, you know, you wear it one. So wait, so we should. So was so. You could wear that. You could wear that. I
Starting point is 00:35:57 can't stop. I have to get the questions out because I know you have to catch plain. So at Diana Jenkins table, it was Lisa, Rena and Harry Hamlin, Kyle and Mauricio, Doreet and PK, who else? PK lost 30 pounds. PK lost 30. I'm gonna ask them, we said 30. 30, did you ask him if he's on the shots?
Starting point is 00:36:20 I did not, I would not be that rude. Oh, okay. So, was that it? Was it tables of 10 or tables of eight? on the shots. I did not. I would not be that rude. Oh, okay. So I wouldn't be that. Was that it? Was it tables of 10 or tables of 8? That was it. So it was, so Diane, Rina, I'll three, there's got to be one more. There's one more. Diana, Lisa, Doreoree and Kyle, eight, eight people. But I thought I was tables at 10 now. Her service table is a table is a yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:36:51 And they were next to El jog table and El actually gave her a shout out on the stage. So they are clear. When she said that she's friends with him, she's friends with him. Okay. So I can tell some people line. She's the one. So who else? Who else did you talk to at the part
Starting point is 00:37:06 where at that section before the Oscars ended? Okay, so but Brookfield was sitting behind us and she was so sweet because my friend actually named her daughter Brooke after Brookfield, which I thought was really sweet. And she's vulnerable to me, which in a sweet way she's like stuck her tongue out in the picture I took of me, Gary Gary like a selfie. She's so cute
Starting point is 00:37:26 Oh, I went over to a viewer a white wolf did white white white white white or good. Yeah, white or okay um, fam which I am I Look it's wait wait wait. What is what are they? No white Lotus? Something okay Michael imperial from soprano that went over to say hello to him and he was standing with I don't know her name. Right, the Italian manager. The Italian manager. Correct. Yeah. And I went over and said hello to her and they could not have been nicer. And I asked them as they know where the next show is and they don't. I told him at the hotel, she said it sold out for three years, you know, and it was like amazing. They were still night. I mean, it was when you were in an event like that, and those are trying to say to Emily,
Starting point is 00:38:05 is that the celebrities there know that being photographed, they have a hair make up on, they're affected, they're okay with it. You don't have to be shy. If you wanna ask for a picture, they're not gonna be mad at you. Heidi Klum could not have been nice, but people came all over and asked for a picture.
Starting point is 00:38:19 She got up and her big yellow thing, I kidded with a scribe when it was, it was like a wave sunshine, and she was such a beauty. I was looking at it from my table like she's just so beautiful. I know this is perfect. Every feature. Who else is there? There's a famous actress sitting with my friend named Lisa Waters and she's a star of a huge show. Lisa Ann Waters. No Lisa Ann Walters. Yes. Lisa Ann Waters. Welcome. Water of avid element.
Starting point is 00:38:45 Yes, I know her. That's right. Right, right. What do I say kids? It's fine. Okay, you get to the next. Okay, anyone else get to the next party. Okay, so that's that party.
Starting point is 00:38:54 Anybody else who stands out at that party? Not really. No, but a lot of rich people because the bidding was going crazy. Like, you know, 150,000 dollars. And what were they bidding on? What kind of stuff gets donated a bit on? So my friend bought, I was finding two of my friends are bidding against each other, which I thought was there.
Starting point is 00:39:10 OK, so then you go to the after party, which is what? OK, well, I didn't say for the after party. Also, what happened was my friend, something that they bid on, last year went for 200,000, two tickets to the vanity fair after party, last year, so it's $200,000. And by the way, you don't go there for 200,000 to take us to the vanity fair after party last year sold for $200,000. And by the way, you don't go there till 1030 because you're already 10 o'clock beyond because there are of them. My friends bought it. 80,000. And and my friends husband David said he didn't want to go and that she should go with me. And I'm like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no What made it went home it went back to those towns so you know what we miss whatever constant went on after I got to find out what happened
Starting point is 00:40:06 You can't be into places at once. I want to be the old one who left I ran into Donna's television. She was there brook shield There are a lot of people from our party went there. There's a lot of these went there. They're not to the very So what was at the very fair party go? Well, this is the difference between the two parties Elton Sean is very expensive, but you can go. You can pay to go. You can pay to play. Vanity Fair, you cannot pay to play.
Starting point is 00:40:28 In this case, yes, 80,000 you got two figures, but you cannot pay to play there. I don't care how rich you are. If you, if Vanity Fair, if you're not a celebrity, you're not a list, you're not getting in. And that's what makes the difference. Everybody there is somebody. I walk in, Jeff Bezos, say hello.
Starting point is 00:40:43 Walk right up to him Jeff Jill Darren real house rise to knew exactly who I was he was with his beautiful girlfriend or Leanne said she had a big get a you-tring on big smile I talked to him about a couple of business things that I can't share and moved on then I ran into Steven Spielberg right when right up to him Steven I don't know if you know me of course I know you like did you know I'm your name, you live in St. Harbour, you're a huge hampton. We talked, I thanked him for the show of foundation, all the good he's doing Jewish community
Starting point is 00:41:11 and preserving the Holocaust memories, if you don't know what show it is, we'll look it up. The preservation of the older people who are dying off the Holocaust survivors, he recorded all of them over the last 20 years so that there's a memory forever he did it and self his own money, unbelievable. I told him how much I loved his movie and his story was like, it was great. Then I walked up to Elvis, I don't know,
Starting point is 00:41:32 it was a little bit of Elvis. Right, we played Elvis. Austin Butler. So adorable. Took pictures with him. The best picture of all is, as I was starting to leave, the guy who wants the best supporting actor for the everything movie was holding his Oscar. and he had a burger in his hand. So he had a burger on one hand in his mouth practically
Starting point is 00:41:50 and holding the officer. I said, don't move. I have to take pictures of you to keep eating. I got a picture with him, but then I didn't know if somebody photographed me behind him before I guess it and went open him, which is hysterical without my shoes on. I literally took my shoes up when I got there. I couldn't walk anymore. And my dress was still heavy. Kate Hudson had a pen in the conversation with her. I ran into Kathy Holtz. Wait, what about you, Kathy Hudson?
Starting point is 00:42:12 What was the Kathy, Kate Hudson convo? Okay, so the girl from my I'm with Embo Lee actually had lunch with her mother the other day. A matter of charity thing that they both working on. So we talked about that. Because I said, Kate knows who I am, I've met her before, I met her at the Tiffany's, I met her for the evening. I think Kate, I want to buy you, but my friend Emily just said, well, she's a mother of yesterday. And she was like, oh my God, and you know, it's like a beautiful thing. It was. And she, so I think that's the last night of anity sale was eight huts in a pink. It wasn't, I thought it was not up to you to what was, and she told me
Starting point is 00:42:43 who it was, and I can't remember. It's't, I thought it was not a P to what was and she told me who it was and I can't remember. It's designed right in no. So she, so she changed outfits because she was wearing like a silver dress at the Oscars. Okay. Yeah, I didn't like that dress. I didn't like the silver. It was what I was fine. No, she didn't want the pink dress. Whatever. She dropped it. It doesn't matter. Okay. So then you see Kathy Hilton at Vanity Fair. So were there any other housewives besides you and Kathy Hilton? No, Kathy's not a housewife. According to Kathy, she's not on the show right now. That's what she said. I didn't know that. Yeah. What else did she say? I'm not saying that she won't be about that method.
Starting point is 00:43:18 Anything else. I don't want to talk about it. But yes, nothing else. But yes, no, I mean, I don't think it's a secret in the world. But yeah, she might be on it. I'm just saying right now is parent was parents there Paris was not there when I did not see and I didn't see any pictures of her now Who is Kathy with who was Kathy? I don't know she would fire herself when I saw her and I spoke to her and then I When I ran into Nikki, I said I saw your mom. She was always she and I told her oh so Nikki was there Nikki was there Nicky was there
Starting point is 00:43:45 But no parents or you know that's who you saw I ran into Bruce I went into Bruce You know Andy concepts and boozy booze. First bossy. Thank you. Yeah Mark Conwayla was there. I didn't see Kelly Don't go three from the today's show Savannah was there. She was beautiful James Corwin was there. John Hamm was there. Rannan, John Void, talk to him for a minute. I mean he's like the oldie, but the goodie. I mean everybody was there. I mean I, it was just a Cardi B and her funny story on the red carpet going into the vanity fair live. There's a like a long line and everybody's a list or something. I mean wait a for life unless you're super able to cover lines. So she's super a-list and cuts the line, but I didn't know who she was.
Starting point is 00:44:29 So this girl in red comes up and she's wearing this kind of sheer mask over her face, but she's with a guy who's wearing like a real mask over his face, all of rhinestone. So I look at her and I said, who is that? And she smiles at me. Three steps later, she gets on the red card on the spot, on the circle, and there was screaming Cardi Cardi and I'm like, oh my god. That's party. I'm such a lady and I don't even know it. Well, she's got a bunch of crystals on her face How would you know? No, she didn't the guy she was with it, and I never found that who we was. I never found that really wrong. So
Starting point is 00:45:00 Did you say did you did the red carver for vanity fair as well? I did but I'm gonna be honest. They weren't just. You know, I'm not, first of all, besides I think I'm a housewife, loved man on the Totem pole. I'm on TV. Not, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:45:16 Like, this is movie stars. This is like the big time. Like, they're looking for the house for winner. Yeah, but I'm still glad we did it. I've been there too, where it's like, I've gone to something and, just depending on what time I get there, or how small of a event it is. They're excited for me other times I'm like, you know, this is gonna take two seconds because they're gonna take my
Starting point is 00:45:34 Picture and then no one's gonna ask me a question and I'm gonna be off of it in two seconds Which is fine. It's still worth it to do it because you're there and that's yeah I'm in Elton John. They were much more interested in me Because of a less celebrity. And I was earlier, so I think that you know that. So at the Vanity Fair, how long, so how long did you stay at the Vanity Fair and did you and your friend like, when did you know,
Starting point is 00:45:53 let's wrap it up or I'm just so tired of have to leave. Like how do you decide if you talk to everybody? Okay, so I think that if they didn't stay long, I didn't figure out how much it was a minute. So we got there about 1030, but we stood in line. It was stupid mistake. If I go next year, I'm not waiting in line. I don't need my 50 much it was a minute. So we got there about 1030, but we stood in line. It was stupid mistake If I go next year, I'm not waiting in line. I don't need my picture taken on the red carpet I would fly past that go right into the party and take pictures there because they took pictures of that
Starting point is 00:46:13 Right Because I know I'm not important enough You know not that I thought I was but I did want to get my picture taken on the red carpet I think maybe two people there were hundred cameras there Everyone else had their camera down and was picking on someone else. I mean, it's fine, I have no ego, it's fine. So I wouldn't wait in line again. That was a waste of time. So by the time I got in, let's say,
Starting point is 00:46:30 we went from 11 to 11, 15, we were in the car bike swell. Like we stayed 45 minutes, I saw everybody. A lot of people had left already in Guantai out in shot. So the two parties going on at the office was at the same time watching the show, Vanity Fair out in shot. After it's over, they swap. Right.
Starting point is 00:46:47 And then the Oscar people who win or go to the Oscars, go to the governor's wall first, if they are an Oscar nominee or winner, they go to the governor's wall. And that takes place day and hour. So by the time they're done, they're getting to Vanity Fair, everyone. So as I was leaving, I mean, I met a few people
Starting point is 00:47:03 like Todoritz, who took a pill, few people I told her I held an Oscar. I held a Oscar. It weighs like 25 pounds. Who is Oscar? They say always, Henry, as I saw it, the guy who wants the penny, supporting actor. Oh, okay. They let me hold a Oscar. But it weighs like twice as much as you think it's up, like my dress. Yeah. Like that. Like your hand gets a pull down, it's that hand make, literally. I should have taken a picture with it. I didn't, I was just so excited to hold it.
Starting point is 00:47:27 I took a picture with him, then I had some zombie Oscar, so it was out of order. So I met a few people getting the Oscar, it was coming in, but it was like, I'm tired, I got a million celebrities, I got a million photos, how much more can we do? So we left, I got my shoes, they gave free shoes when you left, black,
Starting point is 00:47:45 because they out of given it inside. I had to take my shoes off and walk barefoot on dirty floors all night when I got, you know, they had three flats as well. That's nice, they did that. They do, but they do when you're getting in your car, it's in care. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:58 Do you know what I mean? Like, want to do it when you're entering the place. Right. Instead of at the exit, it should be at the entrance, saying, okay, if you've already been walking all night, you're not. The other thing is, I was disappointed, guess what they didn't have Heather. What? Diet. No get back. Oh, no get back. Now, I was told, Elton John had the best get back. No get back. Unless I missed it, but I'm sure somebody would have said, is a get back. No get back. And the
Starting point is 00:48:23 only thing I got from the Vanity Fair party is they have water bottles and metal cans that were printed off. So I took that. I took my program. I took my ticket and I got my shoes. That's it. I would have gone to get back, but no get back. So just telling you, telling everybody. It was an item I like. So I have to do it again. No. Would I go back again? Yes. And I would be there on time at 10 30. My ticket was to 10 30 and I was not just my carpet. I would go right in. So if anybody goes, you mean you go to the vanity fair at 10 30. You go right at the vanity fair at 10. Do you feel like you missed out not going to the second party of Elton John,
Starting point is 00:49:02 though? I'll let you know when I see what happens. Okay. I think not. I saw who's on the program. I don't recognize the name. It's like he has musical guests. He has musical guests. He has musical guests. He has musical guests.
Starting point is 00:49:12 He has musical guests. He has musical guests. He has musical guests. He has musical guests. He has musical guests. He has musical guests. He has musical guests. He has musical guests.
Starting point is 00:49:20 He has musical guests. He has musical guests. He has musical guests. He has musical guests. He has musical guests. He has musical guests. He has musical guests. He has musical guests. He has musical guests. Florida. Um, but I, I, I have video, I have bad, but he wasn't, he wasn't for, wait, he was. So he was performing. He never knows. No, he's not scheduled for form. He was not scheduled to perform. And I did not see a piano. So if there's no piano, Elton John's not singing actually, there was no piano. There's no way he was saying actually. So, so Jill,
Starting point is 00:49:40 I know you have to get on a plane, but you said you believe the reason that you're at the Oscars is because last year you manifested it, which is what I call keeping doing, working the secret. And other people do different things. But what I love about your and all your daughter's manifest candles is that they have a manifestation crystal in the candle. So once you are done with the candle, you get to keep the crystal. And what I also like about it,
Starting point is 00:50:08 if you really want to work on manifesting thing, instead of just thinking about it in your head by lighting it, it's like a little ritual. And we talked for a long time. Some of it's gonna be for my Patreon. You go to Heather McDonnell.net and click on Patreon for different levels because we get into lots of juicy personal stuff. But the part I wanna share on today's show is just relevant to the scan of all
Starting point is 00:52:20 Vannepump cheating narcissism relationships. And Dr. Drew was great about that. So let's listen to some of that right now with my friend Dr. Drew. Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop. I have returned favorite, everyone's favorite therapist. Certainly mine, Dr. Drew. Good afternoon.
Starting point is 00:52:35 Dr. Drew Penske. Here we are. We have so much to discuss. We have so many questions. We always do. You and I, in fact, we should, it's sad how much flows out into the universe without being caught on like David save it save it you
Starting point is 00:52:48 I asked you if you were up on the van or pump scoop and just to give people a reference We're recording this what say say eight It's March I've lost week of my life. I lost it's March 10th 2023 and So we're in the thick of the one week. It was a week ago today that the news broke that Tom Santaval was having a seven year, uh, seven month affair with, um, this girl Raquel from Vanderpump rule. And that's his, the other girl is his wife and it's her best friend or so. Correct.
Starting point is 00:53:20 Yeah. Correct. That's pretty much. I heard it. That's all you really need to do. And, and I've read her apology. Yes. Correct. That's all you really need to do. And I've read her apology. Yes.
Starting point is 00:53:28 And, okay, go ahead. You asked about it. No, that go ahead. I've talked about it for every time you heard it. Because I know what you're going to say about it. What am I going to say about it? Because people feel like it's an excuse that she's making an excuse for what happened. I just want you to know what she described about the condition that
Starting point is 00:53:45 she allegedly has was spot on spot on. The problem is when somebody makes an apology, you just want the fucking apology. You don't want the explanation for why you're an asshole. That can come later. I think the reason it didn't work the way unfortunately it should have is that it was apology, which was good, and then explanation, and people kind of get, feel like if you're using an explanation, even though in my opinion is 100% accurate, it feels like an excuse,
Starting point is 00:54:14 and that's when people get kind of weird about it. Well, I think in this day and age, victimhood is very popular. It's an easy way to get out of something. It's when you're about to be canceled. You know, I feel like we'll smith did it. You know, oh, I went away and I realized this because my dad was a dick and like whatever his excuse was.
Starting point is 00:54:32 Um, so this is the problem. Explanation shouldn't be used as excuse. Right. It should be there's no excuse. I apologize. I will make this right period in the story. Yeah, I think then if you want to hear what's going on inside me,
Starting point is 00:54:44 I'll be happy to tell you, by the way, it'd be good for people to hear it because it's education was good, but it's not an excuse. And I also feel that, you know, she's obviously have people helping her. The as she showed in a situation like this and helping her write it.
Starting point is 00:55:00 PR and... I almost felt like a therapist wrote that because it would be... I definitely, I mean, I think she met with all the people and they're like, you know, we want even the parents are going to be like, please tell us we didn't like raise a sociopath who has absolutely no feelings for someone. No, you didn't. You raised someone who became, you know, sucked into bad relationships and as a love addict and blah, blah, blah. blah. So of course you want that.
Starting point is 00:55:25 I mean, people can be, I mean, it can be cunning, but it usually is it. It usually is, oh my God, it's not gonna light. Oh, that's why I'm such an asshole. I better tell everybody, because it feels good to explain it. They're missing the point which is the accountability, the immense, right?
Starting point is 00:55:41 And that's part of the pathology, frankly, is you kind of missed that part. You want to be, look, it's perfectly natural for her to want to be excused for this, right? It does not feel good. She wishes she hadn't done this. Rakel. Yeah. Rakel. It was a mistake. She sees it was a mistake. She sees it in the context of her sex and love addiction now. But that's, you know, there was a reason I think people used to keep things to themselves, you know, used to be very, that was personal back in the day. And you'd have your own stuff.
Starting point is 00:56:12 I sort of invented bringing things out into the sunlight. And I think it's a good thing because other people can learn from it, but don't expect that you're gonna get necessarily, you know, direct benefits, you know what I mean? Well, I think when the affair first started with the two of them, and you know, they say it was seven months, but there's that it could have been all the way up till April of 2022. So I, I really think, and I think Lisa Vanderpunk even kind of said this,
Starting point is 00:56:42 I think that the plan was to get through the filming and the reunion, which was always scheduled for March 23rd, which is going to happen March 23rd. Without anyone knowing, then they stopped filming. He ends his relationship with Ariana. And then once they're officially broken up, then he can start dating Raquel, and the two of them will act like we found each other. Yeah, boy.
Starting point is 00:57:05 And then they come back on the show and have a, so I do think. That sort of grows to do that, right? It's very gross, but I do. And Liz Arianna signed up for it. No, no, I mean, no. She's the wife, Arianna, right? Yes, basically. But I also, what's up with him?
Starting point is 00:57:19 What's up with the thing? Why aren't we talking about his pathology? No, no, exactly, but I'm, but I think his pathology in convincing her was also a huge being part of the show is why it takes it to a whole, all different dimensions versus if this was just happening in a cul-de-sac. Oh, right. Yeah. You know what I mean? Yes. Where the best friend is screwing her, the lady next store's husband. Yeah. Like that's also really, really weird and crazy and always has been. But I think some of their planning and secrecy and everything was also because we're on a show together. Yeah. I get. And we want to stay on a show and we want the show to continue
Starting point is 00:57:58 because for Tom Santaval, it's been his career for 13 years. Well, women have an uncanny ability to blame the woman when there's cheating going on. I've been accused of blaming her too much for some of the fans. Well, I just think because, sorry, I have to cover something. I think that we were used to men being awful and dog. Oh my God. You know what I mean? Yeah, but this is, cheating bit, you know, cheating and being a dog in a when you're 22, you're in a relationship, the three months old. How long they been married?
Starting point is 00:58:31 They've been together. They never got married. They own a homie together. They've been together nine years. Okay. Yeah. That's a very old difference. Yeah. Yeah. Or or the way I could excuse him, by the way, it's not excuse, but explain again, is if that relationship was really a mess, and he didn't know how to get out or something, okay, he blew it up, you know, that happens too. But this didn't feel like that. This felt very clandestine. I just remember I saw like a TikTok with a female divorce attorney. And she said, in all the years of me practicing divorce for 33 years or whatever it is.
Starting point is 00:59:05 Only in three cases in our hundreds of cases where the man has initiated the divorce, did he not already have a girlfriend? The men will leave when they already have someone else. I find that true of the women too. I think it's both. Well, in her case, she said women will leave when they don't have anyone else lined up and they're just totally fed up and done.
Starting point is 00:59:30 Yes, yes. But a man might not be in love with his wife anymore, but if he doesn't have another girl lined up, he's less likely to initiate the divorce. So you'd rather just stay in a loveless marriage. Makes perfect sense to me, but people both sexes maintain bullpen. You know, literally, and as they get ready for the divorce, they call the bullpen.
Starting point is 00:59:49 Has your arm? Warmen up, get your pitch and get on the mound, warm up with the coaches. Let's go here. Both sides do that. Okay. Now, the one thing I will say about women, I've noticed in divorces when relationships aren't going well for various reasons, really, just matter the cause. The marriage isn't going well.
Starting point is 01:00:06 The woman's complaining, complaining, complaining. They go to couples therapy and then all of a sudden one day she goes, I'm out. That person is in a relationship. When it's been not going well for a while and all of a sudden out of the blue, today I'm leaving in a relationship for 100 For 100% in my experience. I agree with the divorce turning on the man side in terms of initiating divorce, but in terms of being in a relationship that's not working
Starting point is 01:00:32 and then suddenly leaving. Well, I've also seen where the person, where the woman, if we're just talking about a woman, a woman is so hurt by the man crying, begging for his, and then one day, she does stop crying and she does stop fighting. Yeah. Because she actually doesn't care anymore. Yeah. And that, and then it's like, if you're the kind of verbally abusive one, and you get to a place where your partner doesn't even care to fight back,
Starting point is 01:00:58 then you know it's really done. She's checked out. Yeah. Like, or vice versa. Or you're on the way out of something for sure. Yeah. Like I just don't, I don't even care enough to fight back with you because it's like done. She's checked out. Yeah, like or vice versa. Or you on the way out of something. Yeah, like I just don't I don't even care enough to fight back with you because it's like goes nowhere. Yeah. It's so sad. It's it's really all this stuff is mixed to say. So what? Okay, so what do you think of someone that lives that cheating lifestyle? I guess the one thing that I'm so interested in the Rikkel thing is that she is with her best friend at coworker everything going on trips with them. Talking about things acting like she likes other guys when she's actually screwing this girl's husband. Um, or man, what. What, when you've talked to people that have done this, like, are they waking up every day and just staying like, do they even feel bad when they're doing it?
Starting point is 01:01:52 Or they're thinking it's just a means to an end and the end will be, they're really not meant to be together. I'm really meant to be with him and I just have to wait it out. There's many different versions of it, right? Some people don't feel bad, which is, that's not a good person. Right. In that situation, you should feel bad about this.
Starting point is 01:02:11 But there's a million different stories people tell themselves. They tell themselves whatever story they need to tell themselves to be the good person in this scenario. And usually it's bullshit. Usually they tell them it's bullshit. She doesn't love anymore, she doesn't care. She's cheating. Whatever Usually they tell them some bullshit. She doesn't love me anymore, she doesn't care. She's cheating.
Starting point is 01:02:28 Whatever, they tell themselves all kinds of crazy. Right, but what about her, in her case, being that she is not cheating on a partner, she's the, she's cheating to her friend or whatever. Like what does that person tell them to do? The way I look at that particular kind of situation, it's like a drug addict continuing to maintain their addiction, stealing, cheating, lying, they just have to do it to survive. They're in sort of a weird, they're disturbed, they're disturbed, right?
Starting point is 01:02:59 They're in a disease state. And although sex and love addiction doesn't, isn't formally a diagnosis, it, it's a way of understanding these behaviors. And when people are deep in this, they behave just like drug addicts. It's like asking what's a, what's a drug addict, you know, trying to do when they're lying and cheating and stealing from it. Here's what they're trying to do. Do drugs. Period. That's a whole story. And the same thing with this woman, she's just trying to sex with this guy. And that's, she needs that to fill the whole survive. Whatever it is, she just has to have that.
Starting point is 01:03:26 So she does whatever she has to do. It's interesting because when you see the clips, like, you know, that they filmed before when she's deceiving everybody on the cast. Yeah. She's saying like, I just don't care. I'm just out to have fun for me. I'm just out to like, she's kind of,
Starting point is 01:03:42 I don't, I feel like gave herself permission to be like, I don't care, like I'm gonna do what I wanna do, but I do think she fell in love with them. And now they're like, people are like analyzing her social media from months back, where she would like this lightning bolt thing is they both had these lightning bolt necklaces and she always did lightning bolt emojis and she's always like, you know, doing like caption this thing. And it's like, if you analyze the three emojis, it's Tom's future girl about herself and things like that.
Starting point is 01:04:15 So she was like throwing her hands out, and I think they were like winking at each other through social media that like I got you. And of course the necklace was like every time I take a photo with this necklace on, you know that it's like, and I, that's not new to like treating couples. And it's fascinating. It's fascinating to me that the way we educate patients who get fall into these situations that are too intense, they get addicted to the intensity. That's what they love. They don't know intimacy or love.
Starting point is 01:04:44 They just know intensity. And we always tell them, They don't know intimacy or love. They just know intensity. And we always tell them, think lightning bolts, not lightning bolts. No, think butterflies, not lightning bolts. We tell them that all the time. What does that mean? In other words, when you see somebody and you have like lightning bolt attraction to them, and if you're a love addict, you have a tendency to pick bad people, that's going to be a bad person again. That's going to be your, your addiction every time, every single time, you're just going to reenact that cycle. So if it's somebody that you're excited about, interested in, but not struck by, if you're struck, that's your brain, your brain's a perfect instrument with this.
Starting point is 01:05:17 People don't talk about it. Attractions, if you have certain pathological sort of maps in your brain, attractions your brain, those pathologies are the source of attraction. Attraction is how that all gets acted out. You attract and are attracted to people in circumstances that either act out the addiction or the traumas from the past, whatever it is. You have to learn to read your attractions if you're one of these people, and you can't give into it. Unless you go get intensive treatment and those attractions kind of settle down.
Starting point is 01:05:50 Um, I mean, how would someone like Ariana, like ever, like, work with these people again or have to deal with these people again if in fact they are like it's one thing to have? Are they going to be a couple? I mean, I think they are. The last thing she wrote, she did another statement where she was like, when I met Tom, it was out of friend, you know, like my really, my feelings for Tom have always been stemmed from friendship first and like bullshit. She did, she's basically said this thing to make it like to not to let Tom know. And then he liked it to let Tom know like, I'm not throwing you under the bus in this.
Starting point is 01:06:29 I'm not throwing under the bus is one thing. But if she's actually getting her sex addiction treatment, this guy's her drug. And so continuing that relationship is going to be assigned that you wouldn't tell anybody to break up a relationship in treatment, right? We don't tell people out of their lives. But if she's actively engaged in treatment, she's not gonna stay with that guy. And if she does, that tells you
Starting point is 01:06:50 that whole diatribe explanation wasn't excused. What about though that it's tied into her whole career and life in the middle? I know, this is the problem. You asked how could Ariana see around those people, right? Yeah. It depends on how much they're getting paid and how much that means to them, right? Right. It's just all these secondary gains. What are they going to put up with? It's kind of excruciating to think about.
Starting point is 01:07:11 Yeah. This is Annie's question. I don't know why. This is Annie's question. Okay. I had all these questions are coming from my GCSKIP of Suspacement. What do you think is going to happen to all these sugar babies that don't know how to take care of themselves
Starting point is 01:07:27 without some old rich guy paying their bills? Yeah, it's awful, right? But she's not a sugar baby, we don't look at her like that. No, no, she asked the questions, so I'm answering it to her. Again, to try to generalize about people's choices and behaviors really tough, but that's one liability, right? The other is think of your values and your sense of worth and your sense of yourself that
Starting point is 01:07:55 gets to the place where you're doing that, right? You can't feel great about yourself. And you can't... It has an aferious quality to it also. So you're willing to go to places for money. It's like, is that really who you are? And by the way, if that is really who you are, then there's sort of certain character structures that gravitate to that stuff that it's not so great either. I know. And it's all like a, you know, it's all this weird stuff that just didn't was never a conversation with my girlfriends and I 30 years ago, like getting a Chanel bag from
Starting point is 01:08:33 a guy. It just wasn't. No, there was much more people. This is what Megan Dom's always talking about. How when we were all growing up, there was much more equity between men and women. We were all just, we were all just sort of competing together. We were all, up, there was much more equity between men and women. We were all just competing together. We were all, you were my competitor in school. We were gonna compete for places in graduate school
Starting point is 01:08:50 and then we were gonna complete for jobs. You were same as my male friend, no difference. And so the idea that you would be scheming had never ever occurred to anybody. No. No, you're just, I remember I was one one day with this guy and he goes, wait, I have to go into this like whatever it was like a You know it plays for you by shampoo like kind of like an upscale whatever and he's buying some stuff
Starting point is 01:09:11 And he's like do you need anything and I was like Not gonna have this guy on a date like buy my shampoo Right and That you know and then surely after that like whatever I married. And now this is like such a thing of like these people telling women like how to even if you're not in a sugar baby relationship, but you're like on a a couple days with someone that kind of forwarded how to take them into a store. And what to say and do to kind of trick them into buying what you want. Wow. And even Chris Rock talks about it on his special. How it's so easy to date a 25 real you just buy her a pair of shoes. And even Chris Rock talks about it on his special, how it's so easy to date a 25 year old, you just buy her a pair of shoes,
Starting point is 01:09:49 and then she prances around naked in front of you, in them, and calls you daddy, and then a woman who's 45 is gonna, is might own her own home and like ask you to help her when her pullover flows. So he's like, I'd rather just buy the shoes for the 25 year old. But I appreciated his honesty as like a divorced 55 year old rich guy. That's the reality of 2023
Starting point is 01:10:13 for somebody. Well, I had a guy who was dating in Miami. He was like my age and he was saying he had he encountered that. Yeah. And he was saying he's he's he's important. This is awful. Yeah. We've gotten to this point with people, right? Yeah. Dating should be, so dating should be a thing where you sit and you enjoy other people's company. Yeah. You learn who you are, who the other person is,
Starting point is 01:10:33 what you like, what you don't like, and then you form romantically asons as that develops. Yeah. That's healthy. We're like exploiting each other. We're like using each other that would, the opposite of good human relations. But this guy said he encountered three different things
Starting point is 01:10:47 We said the women the younger ones that he was buying the shoes for Then wanted him to have a kid with them the anchor baby lock it down the next like the sort of 30 to 50 year olds Wanted him to pay for their kid take care of the kid that they already had already had and then the older ones pay for their kid, take care of the kid that they already had. And then the older ones, sort of my age wanted to keep him. They wanted him to sort of be, he would be kept by them, because they had money and were stable and just wanted to use him as a, as exactly the way he was using the younger ones, essentially.
Starting point is 01:11:16 They just want to always have a date. Just have him. They don't want to be single. And they use the strategy of coming to their, you know, coming to their su the at the football games and stuff that rather than shoes It's athletic events and concerts and things like that. Oh, she's they write the guys. Yeah. Oh, that's great Yeah, the court side at the you know, Nick's game and things Yeah, well, I definitely think with women
Starting point is 01:11:39 You know, or like over 50 if they are single and they have money Sometimes they want to be single, but they also just and they have money, sometimes they wanna be single, but they also just want, especially if it's like a famous person, like there's this one woman who's obviously she's a former real housewife, and she's had this fiance for a long time. But nobody really sees them together that much,
Starting point is 01:11:59 and they're not getting married. And I don't even think she's really into him. I think she just doesn't wanna be a hundred hundred percent single and she's busy being a mom and running businesses. People do that. And it's like, let's just see each other twice a month or on a vacation. But like, I have this big rock and I can tell everyone I have a fiance, but there's no move to get married or even to live together for that.
Starting point is 01:12:21 Oh my God, it's also sad. By the way, I speak of juicy scoop upsets. I keep running into more and more juicy scoopers around. They're always the best people. Thank you. I know. I'm just so I'm almost jealous that these are your fans because they're dedicated, they're smart, they're really interested in all this that you're interested in. And they appreciate what you do too. So I know I have the best. And I forgotten this part. The last time I ran into somebody was like a week ago at the montage in Luget of Eige. And they told me they saw the footage
Starting point is 01:12:53 of you dancing in front of the piano. Oh yes, we all went out. Yes. Oh my God, I was like, oh no, that's out there. We had so much more to discuss. Some of it you're gonna hear at HeatherMcDonald.net on the Friday show, the ExtraJuicy juicy and also on the get me behind gate. So enjoy and thank you so much you guys.
