Juicy Scoop with Heather McDonald - The Dark Side of The Valley & Bethenny’s Latest Drama with Jacques Peterson

Episode Date: July 30, 2026

Daily Mail reporter Jacques Peterson is here, and breaks down why he believes The Valley is currently the best show on television, arguing that its dark, unvarnished tone is what makes it so genuinely... real, and we give our predictions to where things could head in the fourth season. Plus, Jacques drops an exclusive on Tom Sandoval’s messy situation with his ex-girlfriend, including the behind-the-scenes drama of that toxic dynamic. We also dissect The Real Housewives of Orange County and explain why the famous Quiet Woman restaurant really should have picked up Andy Cohen's tab, debate why buying concert tickets as a gift is a total trap and how impossible going to live shows in LA has become, and wrap up with Bethenny Frankel managed to ruffle the feathers of yet another small business owner. -Download the Poshmark app today and use code juicyscoop when you sign up to get $10 off your first purchase. -For a limited time, Nutrafol is offering our listeners $10 off your first month’s subscription and free shipping when you visit Nutrafol.com and enter promo code JUICYSCOOP. -Go to ButcherBox.com/JUICYSCOOP to get $20 off your first box, plus your choice of free ground beef for life, or free chicken thighs or top sirloins in every box for a year —with free shipping always. -Make your summer wardrobe feel easier. Starting point is 00:00:00 Heather McDonald has got the juices scoop. When you're on the road, when you're on the go, Juicy Scoop is the show to know she talks Hollywood Tales for real life, Mr. Segment, Serial Data and Serial Sister, you'll be addicted and addicts it fast to the number one tabloid real life podcast. Listen in, listen. Heather McDonald's Juice, Scoot. Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop.
Starting point is 00:00:33 I have your favorite juicy reporter, Australian Tall Cutie, Jacques Peterson, star of unpopular opinion, Instagram, and popular on X and threads. How are you? Welcome back to Juicy Scoop. Thank you. I'm actually not on threads. You're not. No, I don't.
Starting point is 00:00:56 I know it's just boring. It's just nothing fun happens there. goes down on X still, unfortunately. But yeah, thanks for having me back. People are probably going to be like, Heather, what is with you in the Aussies? Because I just had Luke and Sassion. And I mean, just watch. Book me, guys.
Starting point is 00:01:14 Book me in Australia and I'll just be with all these cuties. How's everything going with you? It's good, yeah. I don't know. Having fun, loving L.A. I mean, I can't go out anywhere without people telling me. Like when I tell them I've been in L.A. Now for like two years, they're like, oh, you came here just as a diet.
Starting point is 00:01:29 It used to be so much better and I'm like, oh, thanks. Well, I'm having fun. You're having fun. Yes, I enjoy it. Everything's okay. You didn't fall in the sinkhole. No. But, I mean, there's like three or something now.
Starting point is 00:01:42 What about the, are you living across from the apartments that have housed all the coyotes? No. That's not near you either? No. I'm near Runyon Canyon. I'm hiking with the influences and having a marcher and, you know, living my best life. I love that. Good.
Starting point is 00:01:59 Pro L.A. Now, in LA as well is the Valley proper. And the Valley, we have talked about it. And you said, I need to come on and give my opinion. And some would think it was a popular opinion and some might think it's an unpopular opinion. What is your opinion of the 818, The Valley Show, this season? I love it. I think it's close to the best show on Bravo next to Salt Lake City.
Starting point is 00:02:29 think the hate that it's getting is so overblown and hysterical. I mean, I think this show is so real, so raw. I love how dark it is. It's like the dark, seedy underbelly of, you know, the millennial dream, you know, like... My mom used to refer to certain neighborhoods in the valley as the bowels of the valley. Some might think this way is the bowels of the Bravo, but I do I agree. I agree. I I've watched every episode. You know, if it gets you, I always say, if it gets us talking, then it's doing its job. People cannot stop talking about it's crazy.
Starting point is 00:03:11 So it's doing its job. They're talking about how much they hate it. And it's like thousands of comments of like, we hate this. Well, why are you watching it? I mean, what I love about this show is, like, I love the Kristen postpartum stuff. Like when she was wearing, it was earlier on in the season,
Starting point is 00:03:26 she was wearing a diaper. Yes. And she was freaking out because she was bleeding in the diaper and she wanted to leave the party. She wanted to leave the party. And she wanted to leave discreetly. And then she's getting up to leave and everyone's getting up going, why are you leaving? Like, don't go. And then she has this huge freak out of like, oh my God, I'm just trying to leave like quietly.
Starting point is 00:03:45 I don't want to like announce to everybody that I'm wearing a bleeding diaper. That stuff. It's just so real. And like that's what you want from real. That's the real shit. Like people say that they want real. reality TV and then you give it to them in this and then they complain about it. And you know what? If this is, you know, they said 16 and pregnant really helped keep teen pregnancy down. The Valley is
Starting point is 00:04:10 keeping Gen Zian millennial pregnancy down. Okay, I get that. But also, listen, it is a great lesson to learn to maybe do it the Lala route. Be careful who you procreate with. Don't just hop on the first dick because you've got two eggs left. Like, be really smart about it. Plan ahead. Like, plan ahead. Like, if you want to be a mom and you're, you know, coming close to 30, like, start to plan your thing now where there's, you know, saving your eggs, are really looking for a quality
Starting point is 00:04:43 partner. Like, don't wait till the last minute because then you're going to end up with Luke and Luke wants to fish. How does this guy not appreciate that he's on a fucking poster, that he's on a top TV show with no entertainment acting skill nothing. He's on a TV show and he's bitching about it.
Starting point is 00:05:04 Yeah, one thing they won't acknowledge is he complains about being in L.A. He wants to go back to, where's he from like Oklahoma or or something. Or something like that. Somewhere where they fish. And it's like, Kristen wants to be like, we're in L.A. because we're on a television show.
Starting point is 00:05:20 And we're not going to make this same money back in Oklahoma or Alabama. Well, you're catching fish. Yes. like this is why we're here when the show runs out clearly we can look at moving somewhere else also hello california he complains that he can't go hiking you're in california you're in california you could you could go everything is within two hours away you can ski go to the beach you can surf there's fish or everywhere like there's fish in lakes there's it's like you have it's kind of like like the best place has nobody like told him other places to go like does he just think like it's
Starting point is 00:05:53 maybe he doesn't know how to get out of the the valley. Yeah, he does it. He thinks... There's like Tahoe, there's Big Bear. Yes. I mean... There's like Arrowhead. Like, come on, dude. It's like he has it all. And what I love about this show, too, is I, you know, do your point about Lala, I think this show models so many different types of relationships and parenting, because you've got Lala who did it, the surrogate route. You've got, you've got the gay couples, you know, one of the Zach and his boyfriend, they're kind of in an open relationship slash 90-day
Starting point is 00:06:24 fiance situation. You have Janet and Jason who actually have the most normal marriage even though Robert hates them. They have this super normal. But also she had to throw in, I'm also bisexual and he lets me sleep with women on occasion.
Starting point is 00:06:38 I'm like, first of all, you're not sleeping with anybody. You guys are not going out unless it's to go to Dave & Busters. This came out of nowhere. I think she was before. I guess it didn't come out of nowhere because there was a scene she had like a small cameo on a valley episode where she talked about being
Starting point is 00:06:53 buy or something. Yeah. So I guess she truly does eat box, but I just kind of like, it just felt like it just came out of nowhere. Yeah, but I mean, you've got them, you've got, I mean, Danny and Nia. Danny and Nia are the stars of the show, I don't care what anyone
Starting point is 00:07:09 says, if they were not there, they really wouldn't have any drama at all. Yeah, but they're also, okay, there's another one of my unpopular take, so... Danny and for those that are not listening, but you're going to stay with, I know you're watching. If you're not watching, it doesn't matter because I explained it.
Starting point is 00:07:24 They are Miss America, former Disney star turned reality stars, and they are patriarchal Christian, you know, four kids. She's a trad wife and he has a drinking problem and drinks too much and gets completely inappropriate. And then because Janet dared to acknowledge it, she's the most hated. I mean, she's probably, I feel like last year, the hate's gone down a bit, but I feel like at some point she was as hated as like Tom Sandoval and West Wilson just for acknowledging Danny's behavior.
Starting point is 00:07:59 And what is so crazy with this show is like, she was vindicated this season because Danny comes off terribly. This season was, I mean, it's horrific. How he treats his wife, how he speaks to people. And also, he is hiding his drinking. He keeps trying to drink off camera and hide it and then lies about it. They're like, oh, did you just drink water tonight? And he's like, yeah, I did. And then they play the footage back of him trying to like sneak into the closet to take a shot.
Starting point is 00:08:26 I recently saw an interview with Kristen where Kristen was a big defender of them and their marriage. And she's like, I love them. It's what we aspire to be, you know, because of course she wants the whole thing. So she sees them and she was like they have four kids. And, you know, part of making this marriage work is like honoring your man. And so she's trying to do that. but then she's like, like, come on. Like, take your fishing rod and shout up your asshole. Like, she's just so sick of her guy. But she did say in this interview, just so you know, in all the time that I spent with them
Starting point is 00:09:03 where we would just be hanging out in the day, like with our kids, she did not see any behavior like what we saw in the show. So I think she was trying, what she's trying to say is, she wasn't happy how he was treating Nina, how he was speaking about her, how clearly alcohol played a role. She's like, I'm not going to say if someone is an alcoholic or not.
Starting point is 00:09:28 Does alcohol get in the way of his behavior? Yeah. Does he maybe have some issues with alcohol? Yeah. I was very disappointed to see that behavior. So she hadn't really witnessed it when she was defending him on the show. So I thought that was interesting
Starting point is 00:09:42 because they're only seeing what they're physically seeing. I think she's seeing the, audience turn because there was a scene in the show which was really interesting where Brittany and Kristen sat down and Brittany's kind of like how close really are you to Nia? And Kristen's like, we're close. Like we talk every day. To me, it sounds like they have a TV show alliance where they're talking every day about the show.
Starting point is 00:10:03 I don't think they're that much real friends and I think Kristen has seen Denny's behavior. It's pretty indefensible. I think she's read the comments. Lala called her out on that. She said Kristen's reading the comments and in the comments. And now I think Kristen's pivoting. I think that's what that is. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:18 I mean, you can't defend it. No. Even if he was like my brother, I would be like, I'm not being able to defend you. Like, you've got to look at this. And I've already talked about what he needs to say on the show and just complete take ownership of like, I was a dick and I'm glad I got to see it. Because now I have a chance to change my life and save my family. But like, I don't know if you will. But people keep making these false equivalences, though, where they're like, well, everyone else drinks.
Starting point is 00:10:42 But it's like, yeah, everyone else drinks, but people don't behave like, you. you behave when you're drinking. And then Nia is constantly, it drives me crazy. She is like micromanaging him. Like he's her fifth child in every scene. And she's always playing up to the cameras. She's always like, Danny, we're miced. Danny, we're a big happy family.
Starting point is 00:11:02 Aren't we a really happy family? We're just the perfect family. Aren't we? She reminds me of, um. Let's have fun, Daniel. Daniel, we're going to go on a roller coaster now. Oh, wow. And he's like, stop it.
Starting point is 00:11:14 You're being performative. She's like, Daniel, this is what I'm like when I'm happy. Don't you remember what I was like before we had four kids? Well, she's like the seating get out. She's like the seating get out when the maid comes in and she's like, no, no, no, no, no. Like that is Mia in every scene with Danny. It's crazy. And he's trying to do it.
Starting point is 00:11:35 Like he's getting confronted on the show and she swoops in and she's like, Daniel, I'm your wife. Calm down. Walk away. It's like, stop. Like you're getting in the way of anybody. moving forward. And they're the ones that won't move forward. Like Janet and now Lala as well, because Lala's on Janet's side, they've been villainized so much like they're the problem that
Starting point is 00:11:54 won't move on. But it's like Janet apologized to Nia right at the start of the show and like doesn't even bring it up. And then they go to her. And it's like anytime Janet shows up anywhere, like it cuts to the confessionals. Everyone's like, oh God, here's Janet. Like they're obsessed with Janet, but they act like Janet's obsessed with them. It's ridiculous. Yeah. So, okay, let's talk about their looks at the reunion. This is kind of interesting because at least with Housewives, I've been, we've recognized that they get a color palette. And I know from when I was friendly with Housewives, they have to get their dresses approved. Like they'll send like three dresses and then they'll go, yeah, wear this one.
Starting point is 00:12:37 So they can't just show up in a random color. I don't think that happened here because there's no. There's a lot of brown, but there's not, I don't know how the color palette came. So let's just go through it, okay, with these looks. We have Lala, who is drop-dead gorgeous, has a perfect body. This dress, I believe it's like maybe even a vintage, Herveh Lager. I don't know, but it's a perfect mother of the bride dress. it is too conservative for her.
Starting point is 00:13:15 I think it's a great dress for anybody. Like honestly, this is what Brittany should have worn. Okay. This is absolutely what Britney should have worn because it's off the shoulder. It's black tight down to the bottom. So it's very forgiving. You're sitting on a couch. It's very forgiving.
Starting point is 00:13:35 I just think someone like Lala should have been in like sexy green satin or something. Well, maybe. Lala and Brittany. should have swapped dresses. Absolutely. Lala and Brittany should have, let's go right to Britney. This is Britney's dress. A lot of people just couldn't believe that she wore this, chose this.
Starting point is 00:13:52 Is she rage baiting us at this point or what? This was an awful choice for Brittany. She, you know, she shared her journey. When the show first started, season one of the Valley, it started with her having her under her chin, lightboat out. out. This season is, I got them all my mic over, and she has a boob reduction, which the boobs look just as big. Yeah, I died when I saw it. I was like, oh my God, her boobs are busting out. This is just not a good dress for her. The color does nothing for her. You know what's hard
Starting point is 00:14:28 with knowing what looks good on camera. It's like, you need to, if you're going to wear a reunion dress or whatever, you need to have Polaroids taken of it to see what it looks like in a photo. You have to have someone film you in it because sometimes you just look in a mirror and you think, oh, They look great. You have to sit on the couch and you have to go. And if you don't know where you're sitting on the couch before you wear the dress, you better do the right angle, the left angle, close to Andy, way back in the back. I always feel like if I was doing a reunion thing, because I have nice legs, I would do a long dress with a big slit where I could arrange my legs.
Starting point is 00:15:01 And I'd have something kind of flowy around the midsection, a little bit of boob. Like, so there's not sports of fat. I would do a little leg of boob, but then something, because the midsection's so hard to hide, like when you're sitting there for eight hours. And so this is, so people went crazy over it. And hopefully, hopefully she was doing this so that she'd be the most to talk about reunion dress. I don't know, but I need to know, I need, you know what, the Netflix stock, I need to see the Netflix stock on who was her style. How did she order this?
Starting point is 00:15:38 How did this come onto her body? Who did she ask if this was a good choice and who said yes? Well, I want to see the entire thing of how this got to be her look. Can I just say sidebar with you mentioning her getting the chin lipo? I almost got chin lipo during COVID and I had it booked in and everything. And then the day before on 60 minutes, they did this expose of like doctors that were like filming TikToks while they were doing surgeries. And it was the exact clinic that I was going to get the. chin lipo. So I called and I canceled it. And then also, I didn't even need the chin lipo.
Starting point is 00:16:16 It was just because it was COVID. I kind of got fat and the weight had gone to my face. And then when I got to L.A. and, you know, started hiking and drinking, you know, green juices, I got skinny. And I'm like, I didn't even need the chin lipo. I was just COVID weight. Well, I think Michelle looks good. She looks good. And I realized who Michelle reminds me of, and you're too young to know this actress maybe. Oh, who? Phoebe Kate. Oh, I love Phoebe Kate's. Okay. Because of, um, which one of you bitches is my mother? Lace. Yes, Lace, the mini series.
Starting point is 00:16:44 Which one of you bitches is my mother? I saw that clip going viral like on TikTok. And I go, that's who Michelle is. She could be Phoebe Kates' daughter. Yeah. We need to bring Lace back, by the way. I don't know why they haven't remade that. For those that you don't know, let me just tell you a story of Lace.
Starting point is 00:17:04 I was in high school. We had just gotten like a VHS tape. Okay. So it was like every night And but it was late like I had to go to bed I'd like finals. So I would it was a mini series. And so I remember I recorded it and then I'd come home from school and like watch it. And it was about Phoebe Kate's.
Starting point is 00:17:25 She had her, there were three best friends like in the 60s and one of them got pregnant, which is the worst thing that you could do. And they gave someone gave up the baby but she they kept a pack that they were never going to say who was the actual mother. And so the whole time you're wondering who it is because one has dark hair and looks more like her, but you don't know. And I don't know why she hated the mothers. No, well, then they flash because the mother gave her up. But then they flash forward. And then she has, she's now like a porn star. Lace. She's like a famous adult star, I think. And yeah,
Starting point is 00:18:00 and then she's tracking down. No, I think the mothers reunite and they're trying to find her. They're trying to find each other. And then they have the confrontation where she says, which one of you bitches is my mother. Yeah. And you know there's a lace too where she searches through her father. Really? Oh my God. Yeah, in the Middle East.
Starting point is 00:18:16 I've seen it. Okay, Janet kills it in this navy dress. She is thin. She has tiny tits. This is low cut. It's absolutely perfect. Now, I don't know how forgiving this satin will be sitting on a couch if it will get wrinkly or not, but standing up amazing.
Starting point is 00:18:35 Then we have Kristen, it's fine. It's gold. I don't know what this color. Like I said, I don't know what this color scheme is. Kristen is so pretty, by the way. Yes. And of course,
Starting point is 00:18:45 Nia is gorgeous. Another mother of the bride dress, and it looks cheap and it's brown. Some people are so unhappy with the season that they're missing Jackson calling for Jacks returned. I don't know. This scandal is juicy because... Jacks right now is now actually dating or something.
Starting point is 00:19:07 seeing, they were witnessed, their publicist. That was the, her name's Lori Kay, she was the publicist for Jackson, Brittany, for 10 years. Throughout their entire relationship. And a close friend of Britney's too. Like, and a friend of the whole groups. Like, they considered her a really good friend on top of publicist. And I want to say right before they broke up, there was like a photo and there was rumors that there was something going on. And Britney denied, it was like, oh my God, you all are crazy. And Zach defended. as well was like, Lori would never do that. Like they all, yes. And I thought it was BS too.
Starting point is 00:19:41 I'm like, oh God, these Bravo blogs making up stories again. And then it was true. And then they just blatantly went to Cavo and had done photos taken to them in a public, not in a public, but in a resort, not a private home, in a pool. And Vanderpump Rules Party had shared some Reddit comments that Lori had written where she was like, Ask Me Anything a few years back about being a publicist. already I'm like why is a publicist
Starting point is 00:20:10 sharing inner thoughts about being a publicist on fucking Reddit? You're meant to be in the shadows. Yeah and so she was like oh this is what I you know this is what I do and you know
Starting point is 00:20:21 when something happens or my client says the wrong thing this is how I fix the situation this and that so you know and I'm like I just want to say like just like a very
Starting point is 00:20:36 average person. Yeah, I mean... So I can get why if he gave her any attention, sorry, why she just got like wet and horny for it. He's charismatic. And that they've known him for so long, and she might feel that in hanging out with him all these years that he has turned a new leaf.
Starting point is 00:20:54 And maybe she's telling herself like, oh my God, the new Jacks is so wonderful. I will say I was at, I don't know, was a Christmas or a New Year's party or something over the holidays. And he was there. and he was not drinking, and everyone else was drinking, he was not drinking, he was sober, he was trauma dumping a lot on everybody, but he was on the straight and narrow and he wasn't getting into any trouble and yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:19 So, and you know what he's done that is really, really smart, right? It's kind of, it's kind of obvious that when they got him off the valley last season, because things got so dark and toxic, you could tell that it was a little bit unofficially like, all right, if you just keep your nose clean, so to speak and like stay out of trouble. and just don't make any waves you could possibly come back. And there's so many people that we've seen that have got dropped off of these shows, of housewives and stuff. And then they, you know, they cause all this drama on social media.
Starting point is 00:21:47 And they go after they start podcasts and they trash the show and they trash the producers. And then you're like, okay, well, you're never going to get ass back now because you burn the bridge. But I think he's played it really smart where he's just gone away, went to rehab, worked on himself. And now he's got a big, juicy scandal. So, like, he could be back. I think he should come back. I think if they really are a couple, Brittany has to say to herself,
Starting point is 00:22:17 of all the women that he could be bringing around my son, at least I know this person, she's of appropriate age. She's not some only fans model. She has a brain. She also has the ability to get my baby daddy some fucking money. So maybe I can. get some child support or some payments of the preschool.
Starting point is 00:22:38 Good point. And then if she accepts it, if she, if Britney goes to the producers, I'm okay with filming with them. Again, he gets a paycheck, a paycheck that she can now go to the courts and say he is making money. So therefore I deserve to get at least 25% of it before taxes because we share one child together. And it's fucking juicy. Yeah, I mean, this whole show is about dissecting very complicated relationships in different forms. Like we've seen it with Michelle and Jesse working,
Starting point is 00:23:15 you know, their toxic marriage end and now them. So yeah, this would make sense. I think, I think he's coming back. Danny and I think this is what's going to happen. In my opinion, I think Danny and Nia have to go because they won't own the drinking. Or do they agree on a couple that's like somewhat also friends with them or in that vein. I don't know. I just think with them trying to do things off camera, hide the drinking, Nia going, we're miced, not taking accountability. Well, if Kristen is also starting to jump ship, which according to this interview
Starting point is 00:23:48 sounded a little like it, then they really don't have someone that's high up on the totem pole standing up for them. So we'll see. The reunion should be good. Is this, this Thursday is the last episode? Yeah. And then the reunion starts. Yes.
Starting point is 00:24:05 This Halloween party looks awful. They're in horrible scary. So they all look horrible. I think something very dramatic happens. So stay tuned. So this is an article written by you. Yes. Jacques Peterson, U.S. Senior Entertainment Reporter for the Daily Mail.
Starting point is 00:24:21 Exclusive, Tom Sandoval suffered months of abuse from model ex-girlfriend who vowed to ruin his life so he could become the next. So she could become the next Ariana Maddox. I have spoken about this and I did hear of this possible thing that once things started to go downhill, she wanted to get her story out there in hopes that she could get some type of traction and press and possible work from the fact that she dated. Tom Sadowall, of course, this doesn't hold any kind of weight in this world as Keanu Ariana. but tell us what you discovered in reporting on this. Yeah, well, look, this is one side of the story, so we have not really got her side yet. But one of his bandmates spoke to The Daily Mail, and, you know, he had his band, the Tom
Starting point is 00:25:13 Sandoval and the most extras, and they got a lot of clout because they went on America's Got Talent. They were like a breakout on that. So they were touring, and she was touring with the band, and the bandmate said that he saw her be physically violent to Sandoval multiple times that she was partying a lot on tour and apparently they weren't because they treat it very professionally they've got to be up there you know they're all middle-aged you know it's not motley crew like you know they're they're performing no like Bravo fans around um and that you know she controlled his social media that she would could control you know allegedly according to them um what he did and that she would threaten to ruin him
Starting point is 00:25:56 and that she said that she would get the Ariana treatment if it ever came out. Of course, you know, we reached out to her. She did not respond. We still need to hear her side of the story. But I'm surprised she didn't respond to you because I know that she appeared to be in communication with, you know, quote unquote bloggers, content creators,
Starting point is 00:26:17 people that kind of cover this world. Yeah. We're getting her side and we're getting like videos from her and stuff. So maybe she is. in a different place since she was a few weeks ago and is kind of evaluating everything more. Maybe her lawyers have said, I mean, Tom, her and Tom aren't getting official interviews. You know, I had to speak to Tom to verify everything, but he didn't give us an interview. I just had to like go through the facts of things and can you verify that, you know, this is accurate. So neither
Starting point is 00:26:43 of them are actually giving interviews, but I am surprised she didn't, you know, respond. But yeah, to me it sounds like the picture that Tom's side is painting is that he was in an abusive relationship for all this time. Of course, she has also claimed abuse from his side. They haven't, they did not grant her restraining order. She tried to get a restraining order against Tom. The courts did not grant it. Whereas with Tom, they granted his. So he has a restraining order against her and her father because she and the father were living with Tom. So then there's a dispute about, because she's saying that she was on the lease and so I don't know, they're fighting over the home. It's messy. It's messy and it's sad. I think, you know, I do
Starting point is 00:27:25 these stories and I kind of see what people chatter about on my YouTube or whatever and what they kind of don't. And I think because to the average person, they've never seen this girl on TV. She wasn't on the Vanderpump. She wasn't on
Starting point is 00:27:41 the Valley. She just appeared in like some social media and stuff here and there. So I just think there isn't the chatter that it would be if this was a regular cast member. Also, it's dark and sad and, you know, he never really gained the love back. No, but I will.
Starting point is 00:28:00 I think he was hoping if he was to come back, I think he hung on to this fucked up relationship, hoping that it would get better. And if he did get back on TV, he would be able to show a new loving relationship to try to win his audience back that watch him on TV. I think it's one of the reasons why he stayed in something that was bad. Yeah, and I think he probably also.
Starting point is 00:28:23 thought I already had one, you know, tumultuous breakup in the media with Ariana Maddox, you know, this is so embarrassing. Yeah, then to have another one because then of course if, you know, if according to him, she's making threats and saying, I'm going to ruin you and be the next Ariana, like he's probably going to be scared to come out again. That's just his side of the story. Yeah. Making that clear, she has our own side. We don't know the truth really specifically. But from a PR perspective, this is so bad because, you know, he's not on the valley, but he has worked consistently since van derpont rules went off. He did The Traders, which I think he got, wasn't he like top three? He got far. Yeah, and he was fun to watch. Yeah, people liked him on that. He did,
Starting point is 00:29:01 America's Got Talent where he did well and he was touring with the band. I mean, it's an actual, it's like Countess the Wend. Yeah, he did Special Forces. Yeah, he did Special Forces. I think he did House of Villains. And he has another show that was already filmed before this, some Netflix survival shows. So he's been doing shows back to back. And now to have a story like this out, which obviously is really dark and there's allegations of abuse. from both sides, like, you know, it could be hard to keep getting work when you have been. So I don't know. I hope he clears it up.
Starting point is 00:29:30 I miss, you know, I miss him on the Valley. I miss Sheena. I miss the whole old gang. I never even wanted Vanderpump Rules to be, you know, rebooted. Well, I think Vanderpump Rules, they were essentially like all really kind of like naturally funny. Yeah. And I think the Valley, they're not very funny.
Starting point is 00:29:49 I think Zach's funny. Zach is the only one that's kind of funny. And I mean, actually, Lala can be funny. It's just like. It's not, but it is a darker show. It's a darker show. And I just don't feel like that they, if they were not on this show, that many of them would not be hanging out at all.
Starting point is 00:30:05 They would not be going on trips together and things like that. No. Like, they're not a real group the way Vanderpump was. No, I think some of them are a real group. I mean, like, Zach's known Brittany for 10 years. And they do. I don't think Danny and Neer are a real part of the group. No, but I think they were cast.
Starting point is 00:30:22 Yeah, but I think a lot of the other ones are. I wonder how did they get in there. Was it Jack? Because Jacks really put the whole thing together. So Jacks somehow must have found them or knew of them. They must have just needed some more new couples. Yeah, and found them. Because I knew that Jacks and Jesse had a long history.
Starting point is 00:30:40 Yeah. So that made sense. They definitely are a real group. And going back to like Jesse really of Jesse and Michelle. that has been the coolest most beautiful thing of reality TV of like the honesty of a breakup of a marriage, how she, you know, the fact that they're like friends and that she is not bothered by, really bothered by his new relationship, but can honestly convey that it's weird to see him be affectionate with someone because she just, she had told herself the last couple of years, oh, I guess he's just done an affectionate guy. And then she realized, no, he was a. affectionate with me at one time. Well, he's affectionate with someone else with the right person, but not with me. But in the beginning
Starting point is 00:31:25 he was with her too. So it's like, it's being really honest with yourself, which is sad that like you both fell out of love with each other. He truly didn't wasn't sexually attracted to you or fell in love with you because there was so much hurt on either side. But now
Starting point is 00:31:41 you can toast to your divorce and be grateful that, hey, we were on this TV show together. We have a way to make money. There is no weird jealousy. There isn't this hatred that we saw the first two seasons. And they've been able to survive and both come out really good. It's really touching. It's actually really like the coolest thing about the show is Michelle and Jesse. But that's why the show is so good. It has so many highs and lows. I think people are uncomfortable with the show
Starting point is 00:32:10 because I think it's almost too real that it's holding a mirror. And I think people, look, we can all judge like Luke and Kristen and some of the other couples that I feel like we've all kind of have been there as well in a relationship. Like, we've all had those moments. Yeah. Okay, so Bethany had another small business snafu happen. As you know, she's the number one.
Starting point is 00:32:31 She created an influencing. She created the internet, Instagram, wearing things and giving people advice on what to buy, what not to buy, what works, what's the level, all of it. So she was sent this jewelry by a small business old owner called The Candy Lace.
Starting point is 00:32:48 And follow them on Instagram. and she did a couple videos where she would mention say oh and this and it was her necklace the candy lace necklace but she would never call it the candy lace and also referred to it as other jewelry that she had already a partnership
Starting point is 00:33:09 or a part ownership in so she could get like the affiliate marketing bonus for but it was hers so then the candy lace girl first was so excited to see her wearing it, then horrified to hear that she didn't name her, and was like trying to get a hold of her.
Starting point is 00:33:28 Like, could you please, you know, thank you, but could you tag me? Could you say what the name is? She refused. So then the candy lace girl was like, well, then I'm going to use some of her videos to say, like, Bethany loves it. You know, oh my God, look, Bethany's wearing my step.
Starting point is 00:33:44 She then received a letter from Bethany, is people saying, please remove all of Bethany's content from your feed or you can pay $30,000 to use it. Wow. And so the candy lace person came forward with it. And the last, the other time that she did something similar was with Dino Manza's daughter, had a shoe line.
Starting point is 00:34:13 That girl sent the shoes to Bethany. Bethany wore them and, you know, and said, here's a dupe from Amazon with a link that she would get an affiliate fee from. And then she was like, hey, listen, you dumb bitch. You know, it was sold out. So when it's sold out, I can't make my audience angry about it. So I told him about one that was a tenth of the price who copied your design on Amazon. That's the way business works.
Starting point is 00:34:47 And I'm like, why wouldn't you just say it? Let them go on a waiting list. Let them look for another pair of shoes on that site that they might even like more. You're literally directing them to. And also, we don't know if that was made ethically or what. So that's a whole not other thing. I mean, and people tried to defend her, tried to say, well, you know, why not show the do. No.
Starting point is 00:35:11 Like, how would you feel if you invented something and somebody mass copied it? and then you gave that $300 gift to somebody and they wore it and they were like, don't buy this. We're the mass copy over here that you'll get not one sent from. Like, I'm so glad she called her out and now this woman's calling her out and just people need to know who Bethany is. Yeah, well, one, they should call her out because then if she isn't going to tag correctly, they may as well get some clout and have juicy scoop talk about it and go viral on TikTok,
Starting point is 00:35:42 get something out of it. And, you know, not to be political, but I know this comparison has been made before. Bethany is very Trumpian in how she does everything. And it's like she behaves on social media. I'm not going to say above the law. She's not breaking the law. But she acts like just normal societal norms like don't apply to her. Yes.
Starting point is 00:36:04 And like that she's on a different level of how she operates and moves through life compared to everybody else. And there is never any accountability. She will never apologize for anything, like certain other people. And not only will she not apologize, it's your fault for saying something about it, and she'll put it back on you. And then she'll be like, you're welcome, like she, you know, like the ego, it is so beyond anything. Also, this screenshot you used, it's like she always looks like she's manic and crazy. That looks like some vagrant broke into your house in L.A. And tried on your clothes.
Starting point is 00:36:40 And you walked in and you're like, excuse me? And then they stop stunned. Yeah, so here she's wearing it. And the jeweler, the actual jeweler wrote, I'm having a really hard time with my work being miscredited and omitted from sourced brands after initially offering to help and having me send and help and having me send this product. It felt intentional. So that was what the whole thing was.
Starting point is 00:37:06 And it's called, I think, yeah. What is this? Candy lace jewelry. Yeah, it's candy lace jewelry. is the name. Kenny lace jewelry. But anyway, um,
Starting point is 00:37:18 well, do you remember when she started the influencing thing? She would make a big deal about, I'm not getting paid for any of this. I'm the accidental, yeah. Yes, like I'm just sharing things organically and then slowly she started doing the paid, the paid ads and then,
Starting point is 00:37:32 you know. Well, now she does this thing where she'll be like, I just have to tell you about what, what the fuck happened with this hair dye? I just got my hair dyed. Look at this. The worst, I,
Starting point is 00:37:43 hair dye. And then like a month later, she's like, let me tell you about this hair dye. Yes. And then you realize this deal was done way before and she plotted it, which is fine. Yeah. Which is why she, you know, is the smartest bitch in the world and she knows it all. But also, I'm like, I almost feel like the arrogance of her, I feel like she's well aware that this is what's keeping people talking about her and she doesn't care at this point. Yeah. She's not looking to be a nice person, you know, or like help people or whatever. At this point, she is just like, fuck it. But I think people also need to understand that her brand, she sells her brand as I'm the most authentic, truthful person.
Starting point is 00:38:21 She's not. Everything is staged in advance to sell something. Like, she'll pretend that she has a problem. Why can't I find some good ice cream? There's no good ice cream. And then there's a brand deal. She's not, I mean, she says, this is on the level. My God, you guys won't believe it's the best ice cream ever.
Starting point is 00:38:34 It's a paid ad. She doesn't genuinely think that. So if you want to keep following her and loving her, it's fine. But it's not real. Like she's not authentic at all. She's playing you. She's scamming you. And I know everyone says she'll never go back to reality TV.
Starting point is 00:38:50 She'll never do the golden girls. I'm telling you, don't be shocked if the following season she does it. And she's just like, you know what? I'm bored of working by myself. I want to be with other people. She'll justify it somehow, but she will go back on. I mean if her views go down or something. And if that shows a hit, which I think it will be, of course they'd love to have her.
Starting point is 00:39:15 Yeah. And, you know, they're not going to pay her $10 million an episode like she claimed she's going to need. But she will just somehow be like, I'm just doing it for fun. She'll make a cameo and then she'll bring up the ratings and she'll be like, look, it was the highest rated episode ever because I was on it. And that's why they're being greenlit for season three. You're welcome. Yes. Yes.
Starting point is 00:39:37 Okay. Let's talk about Real Housewives of O.C. You know, this one is getting a lot of criticism. It is. And also not a lot of talk, which I don't know if it's worse. Would you like to be highly criticized or just not be talked about much at all? The ratings for it are actually really good, though. I saw the rate, and it's one of the higher rated shows.
Starting point is 00:39:59 Here's kind of my take on this. Look, it's not an explosive season or anything like that. But I think for the most part, when it comes to like the Housewives especially, but a lot of Bravo shows, they're all kind of the same thing. Like sometimes you get an exceptional, like a Monica Garcia, reality Vonte's, Salt Lake City thing where it's just explosive and everyone has to tune in. But for the most part, the shows are kind of the same thing. And it really just comes down to do I like these group of women and do I like the setting of where it's filmed? Right.
Starting point is 00:40:29 And when you've been watching it for so long, there's just certain shows like that that are just like a weird comfort. Yeah. And you're like, yeah, it's kind of dull. But like, yeah, I know them and I like the settings. Yeah. All of them. I mean, you know, people get up online. They're like, oh, it needs to be cancelled.
Starting point is 00:40:42 It's the worst thing I've ever watched. I'm like, it's actually fine. Like, it's like any other housewives show. You're completely overreacting. I think the cast is really good. You know, this new girl that they have Carmella, I love that she's here because this is like a season 20. This is a bit of a anniversary season.
Starting point is 00:41:00 I know that they're getting like, you know, Quinn Frye does a cameo. Who's Queen? Quinn. Queen with the wig. Oh, Quinn. Quinn. Quinn. They're queens back in Tammy Nika Boko.
Starting point is 00:41:11 Those are people. Those are classic. Classics. They bring all those people back. And what I like about Carmella is she reminds me of an old school OC wife in that she has these really obnoxious, spoiled kids that. It felt a little Lynn Curtinish. Yes.
Starting point is 00:41:26 It totally felt Lynn Curtin. She has this kind of like, this isn't a criticism. She's a beautiful girl. But like she has these sort of tacky hair extensions. And her style feels very outdated OC. Yes. She was part of WWE and Playboy magazine, which are also two, kind of like 2000s relics. Like everything about her screams like 2006 when OC started.
Starting point is 00:41:48 So I kind of think she's like a perfect person for season 20. Brilliant. Yes, I agree. I like it. And I, you know, I love Emily and Gina. And also she's so desperate to be on the show that she has this big house in San Diego, but she has to drive an hour and a half to rent this other house for 35. rented. It's so clearly rented for 35,000 a month. Because it looks like staged furniture and everything.
Starting point is 00:42:12 Yeah, because she has to somehow put herself in the OC to work on the show, which in the end, do you blame her to be on a TV show? I think a lot of people would rent a property. Meredith Marks does. Meredith Marks doesn't live in Utah. She lives in New York and she rents it. And didn't Katie rent too? Yeah. And like try to stay in there. And yeah, I get it. Like, you have an opportunity to be on the show. Have you seen Katie's podcast now? Oh my gosh. She, first of all, listen, I get it. I mean, you were on the show for a year and a half. I get it. Let's talk about for the rest of our lives. Be mad about it. scream racism, all the things. But I am like ready for the next episode of that thing to be like, I have something to tell you. Remember in episode four of season, of my season, when we went to get ice cream? Do you remember that? What you don't know is that I ordered chocolate chip. originally. And then a producer came to me, nobody knows this, nobody knows this, and said, hey, could you order green tea ice cream? Yeah, that's what they said. They wanted me to order
Starting point is 00:43:17 green tea ice cream. Why? I don't know, because predominantly Asians like green tea. And I had to sit there as the person of color and tell myself, I don't know what's doing this situation. Do I go with the chocolate chip Or do I fold to the patriarchy The white patriarchy That wants me to order green tea ice cream This is an exclusive I've never told anyone this before
Starting point is 00:43:47 I mean that is for you guys that haven't heard the podcast That is the podcast I mean there was It is the biggest reaches It's every week is like Let me tell you another Microaggression Asian thing That may have or may not happen
Starting point is 00:44:01 You know Wait, did I also tell you what happened? What? What happened, Katie? We went to Mendo Cino Farms. A lot of people don't know. It's a kind of a cute lunch place. They have a chinoa salad.
Starting point is 00:44:21 They have a chintosh. Stop it. They did not. Yes. They got catering from there one day. And they're like, we have just a few salads here. We have a Cobb. We have a Southwest barbecue.
Starting point is 00:44:36 and we have a chinoa. Katie, would you like the chinois? That was cut from the season. Why, Andy Cohen, why was a chinois salad cut from the season? Ask Emily that. Ask Emily that. Why did Gina have an open house and serve sushi? Why? Why was she doing appropriation to try to sell a house? Why was she talking about feng shui when she's a white woman? I mean, literally, she accused Emily of villainizing Persian culture because when Emily pulled out the lie detector,
Starting point is 00:45:16 remember she, Emily put them on a lie detector. Yes, but it was some Persian like New Year or something. So, Katie said she villainized Persian culture by having the lie detector on the Persian New Year. I mean, it's so ridiculous. ridiculous. I feel like saying Sutton. Let the mouse go. Her fans are turning on her too. Because she had all these, you know, all these people that hate the OC, that rally behind her. Well, that are like holding racist flags. Yeah. Like everything's racism. But even they're leaving comments. I think it's just a TV show with some housewives that are thirsty. Can we just?
Starting point is 00:45:55 Yeah. It's not, it's not that deep. Yeah. But they're, I'm looking at the comments and they're like, Katie, I was a fan of yours, but like this is a bit much. So I would dial. it back if I was her. But then if she doesn't talk about OC, that podcast isn't going to get any downloads. Well, no, of course. Yeah, it's fine. There's a look. You're welcome. You're welcome. I just gave you a big thing. Some people felt that the scene with Jen, where she is crying to her son, Grayson, who got a speeding ticket going 105 miles an hour, that she had this moment. A lot of people felt it was a very planned out moment. So I don't believe, you know, that we know, that we know the producers push them to talk about things. There is no typed out script. We all agree with that.
Starting point is 00:46:39 But there are definitely ways that while they're setting up the lights in your kitchen, you can go in the bedroom with your kid and say, we're going to come down and we're going to talk about how things are tough because your dad is not here all the time. Yeah. We're doing this because Ryan and I figured out that this is a way to make Ryan look really good and we already filmed it at this other weird store. Okay. And in that, he said, he came off great because he was like, Like, look, it's sad that your ex isn't around, that their dad's not around. And I wish he was around more. So now I don't look like I'm a stepdad overstepping.
Starting point is 00:47:14 But it's also showing I'm a great dad on my own because I didn't even know he had a child. You neither did I. Then they just showed Ryan's daughter. And I'm like, I know. I thought he was like a single bachelor that took on this woman that he found doing squats at the gym. And like, fucked her in the steam room. And now five of her kids live in his house. I was like how?
Starting point is 00:47:35 Yeah. So then he comes out and he's like, you know, she's like, look, if you don't want to go to school next year, maybe we can get you some acting gigs. So I need you to come downstairs and we're going to start crying about your day. Because it came out and know what they've been separated and not living together for three years. So how is it that now, sevenly, this 17-year-old is like, I miss my dad. Yeah. It was just really weird.
Starting point is 00:48:01 And then so then they start crying. but then people that do believe this is real felt it was a very narcissistic mother thing to do because then she was like, do you know if anything, people are unkind to you? People are mean to you at school? Why? I don't know, mom.
Starting point is 00:48:17 Maybe because you're on TV and, you know, talking about boning your boyfriend that you met at the gym every day and I have to like be at school with these people. So yeah, they can be dicks. And that's why life's been hard. But I remember what you told me to say, Say it's about how dad's not here.
Starting point is 00:48:36 Yeah, I can see that. I don't know. I do think that they obviously set up conversations, and then sometimes you can't predict how that conversation's going to go. He did look genuinely upset. And I do think she is, I do think she is a kind, like, soft. She does seem very soft and nice and, like people have said, kind of ditsy. I don't know, but look, maybe he'll get on next gen L.A.
Starting point is 00:48:58 And that's what they're going for. Why wouldn't you? Well, Heather DeBrow is trying real hard to get her. kids on it. I thought they were doing a next-gen L.A. Did that fall apart? And I thought that her son was supposed to be on it. Yeah, well, that's a rumor. I don't know if it's like greenlit, but Heather is, I mean, even when they opened the season, I think she randomly had her son give a toast or
Starting point is 00:49:17 whatever at the event. I love it. I love it. I love what Heather does. Oh, I love Heather too. I'm doing it for her kids and everything. I'm like, absolutely. If he was down to do it, I'd be like, you're doing it. But I also, if my child wasn't down to do it, I'd be like you don't have to do it. Yeah. I mean, that's the thing. Like, you don't feature the kids that don't want to be featured. You know, I know you, maybe they can go to
Starting point is 00:49:40 a meal or something, but like you don't have a heart to heart about how no one likes you. Can we sit down about the fact that you're bullied and nobody likes you? Can we get the cameras in here? Okay, let's go. Can we also do me telling the world that my husband and I had no idea
Starting point is 00:49:56 that my child couldn't read at 10? How does Emily, how did, that still bothers me from last year? Shane and I had no idea that Luke couldn't read. He was in the fifth grade. You're like, what? What do you mean that between kindergarten and fourth grade, you never did homework with him? You never had him read a sign as you're walking through the grocery store.
Starting point is 00:50:17 Like, how did you not know? Yeah, I just think one of the hard things with this is, like, people say they want real reality TV and they want real reality shows. So then, you know, Jen and Emily and whoever else are putting out all this super hard stuff about their family. And then people like, well, why would you put that on TV? Totally true. I agree. You know, they sign up. It's a very hard thing, and I've said that.
Starting point is 00:50:36 I'm like, you have to share your life. But then when you share your life and it involves your kids. But I know there's people that will, that are currently won't be able to be a full-time member of one of the franchises unless they are able to show their home and their kids. Yeah. And it looks. And it's like, well, do you want this paycheck and the security to come back and possibly fuck up your kids or you take this paycheck below and your kids aren't there and you'll. probably get fired next year. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:04 So I totally get how hard it is. There's no good way to do it, which is why it, you're selling your soul to Andy Cohen and the devil when you say yes to the show. Yes. I talk about it all the time, so I'm like, I, you know. But the thing is it can, it can pay off. Like sometimes it doesn't.
Starting point is 00:51:20 Sometimes it can go really bad and it can fuck up your family. And then other times you're on the show for 10 years. You make all this money. You're famous. You can book your host drag brunches for a few thousand dollars. Your kids on NextGen. Besides Lisa Vanerpump, who has come out where their family has essentially kind of been unscathed and they're still in the limelight making money? Well, Lisa Rinner's daughter is like the number one model.
Starting point is 00:51:51 I mean, Lisa Rinnah's a good one. She has a-Hadid. I mean, not Hade. Yolanda, yeah. Yolanda. Like, I think a lot of them, Kyle's family. Also, people have issues anyway. So who's to say that if the cameras weren't there,
Starting point is 00:52:04 that they wouldn't be a functional family. At least they're making money and have a job. And I would be able to totally agree. Okay. So the quiet woman, Shannon Bedore went on a podcast and she said, she explained that the story was way out of control about her being pissed that the quiet woman
Starting point is 00:52:23 didn't immediately first pick up the bill for she. She said I was there with six other housewives and Andy. And I was pissed. when I saw the bill go down in which Andy paid, but yeah, I was pissed. So yes, the story is true. She was throwing a fit. She was thinking,
Starting point is 00:52:41 I'm so embarrassed since I'm the queen of the quiet woman, I'm so embarrassed that they would even think to charge you, like, what more do you want? She said this. She's like, what more do you want? I brought you six housewives and Andy Cohen. How dare you expect to get a paycheck from this? And she then, in the podcast, she wouldn't name Quiet Woman.
Starting point is 00:53:00 Yes, and she said she's... She purposely is pissed. She said she's taking a break from the quiet woman as well. She's not going back there. And so she's like, let's see. Let's see where it'll be in two years. Let's see if I'll be going there anymore. Well, I was actually there that night that this happened because the reason Andy was there was this thing was called the Newport Beach Festival.
Starting point is 00:53:20 I was there with the Newport tourism people, shout out. And we went to the quiet woman after. And look, I was meant to, because I know some of the OC housewives, so I was meant to catch up with them. but then it wasn't planned that Andy was going to go to dinner with them, but then he did. And then I'm like, well, I can't crack. I don't know Andy. And I knew that like if Andy's at dinner with them, they're all going to be, you know, it's like putting on their circus tricks for Andy.
Starting point is 00:53:43 So I'm like, I'll leave them alone. But I ate in my own booth. I didn't see anything. But I will say it was a packed house and there was a line around the corner to get in because the housewives were there. So, you know, Shannon and that did bring them a lot of business. I know people are giving Shannon a hard time about it. I can see where she's coming from expecting them to pick up the check.
Starting point is 00:54:09 Well, I appreciate her not. She's not changing the narrative of the story. That's the story that was told and she's confirming that it was the story. Yeah, I thought it was ridiculous. I thought it should have been comp. Yes. I thought that would be a given being that who we are and the business I brought. They did put, I mean, come on, she did put the quiet woman on the map.
Starting point is 00:54:28 Yeah. It's gone viral several times. they filmed a scene this season. I think the scene that when Shannon, Vicky and Tamara sat down for lunch together, I think that was a quiet woman. So, you know, it's been featured on there a lot.
Starting point is 00:54:44 You know, but I see both sides of it. No one's owed a free meal or anything. I know Andy said that he really wanted to pay a tip, which is good, but they should have come out maybe and said, look, we'll comp the drinks, like offered something, you know? I mean, there's many different. ways to look at it. The thing is that that should have just been a thought that you kept to yourself. Well, yeah. I mean, it's so crazy to throw a tantrum over it.
Starting point is 00:55:09 Okay, fine. But like, maybe I'll make another, like, what she should have done is kind of clocked it. You know, kind of clocked it and been like, yeah, next time they asked to film a quiet woman, I'm going to be like, let's go to this other place. Yeah. And maybe when I do that, I'll, you know, let them know, like, hey, I'm bringing people over here. I'm a little over this place. Whatever. But, yeah, you know, because any, but to the average person, they're like, why should you get any meal free, you can afford it?
Starting point is 00:55:38 Look, I get that. But they brought them a lot of business. The owner did go running after Andy and said there was a misunderstanding. We've got it covered. But that's because of Shannon. That's because Shannon went right up to him and was like, are you fucking kidding me? And, you know, she has that way about her. I think, look, this is what I would have done as the owner of the quiet woman.
Starting point is 00:55:58 I think I would have come and I would guys, you know, thank you the meals on us. And then look, if Andy would have insisted, I'm sure, let me just pay the tip or whatever, take the tip. But I also probably would have said, like, the meals on us, but would you mind if we just all got a photo together and could we, like, post it on our Instagram
Starting point is 00:56:16 or something like that? Like, let me get a, you know, a social media post out of it and it's like a bargain. You know, people do that in entertainment. I mean, look, you must have been offered a free meal. Look, I feel with, this I'm kind of changing my mind out because I do we do see how sir is not popping anymore no one's going there anymore and it was popping all the time three or four years ago yeah so if no one films are anymore and the show goes off the air would it be easier to get a
Starting point is 00:56:48 table a year from now or two years for now most likely yeah you know so it's like that's why he ran after him but I think just offer to do something as well just go look Yeah, can we get a photo? Can I post or whatever? Do something like that. This came up, this is someone, I realized that this came up as a house that you could rent for $100,000 a month. And then going through it, I noticed the Terry and Heather monogram floors. This is Terry and Heather's old house that they sold for like 55 million through the Altman Brothers. And now someone can rent it for $100,000 a month. that's crazy. I will say I do kind of agree with Vicky where it's like no one makes that much money being a plastic surgeon. So, you know, they must be brilliant at business.
Starting point is 00:57:37 They are brilliant at business and I don't really think Vicky is brilliant at business. No, I agree with that. But because I mean like they have a lot of wealth though for a plastic surgeon. Like a lot. It's not just a plastic surgeon though. Yeah. I like Heather is right. Like they got scammed once out of like millions of dollars on something. Yeah. She's been really honest about it. They have worked their. ass off. They went the extra mile. They were doing that QVC forever. They're selling their own skin care. They had the botched. They had this, that. And they made a lot of money on real estate. Like, they bill a house for 20 and sell it for 50. That's fucking $30 million
Starting point is 00:58:11 profit. Like that. And then you put that in money markets. Like, you know, meanwhile, Vicky has been like, I work, work, work. Okay, well, one, you know, insurance policy at a time is not going to get you 100, a hundred thousand a month rent. Like, it's just not.
Starting point is 00:58:30 And so, and then Heather brought up the fact she's like, there was Vicki's vodka. Mm-hmm. There was Vicki's Diamonds. There was wine, wines by wives, which they tried to get me involved in that. And I remember I was like, no.
Starting point is 00:58:47 And then they realized he was like a kind of a, whatever. I'm not going to say anything about it, but it didn't work out. And, but so. Yeah. I mean, Heather's, it was a dumb thing to say. Heather's had some failed projects, too, though. She's had, she had like a skincare line that didn't work. She had...
Starting point is 00:59:04 The fireside podcast. Sure, she did. Yeah. I just thought, I'm glad that they, like, fought back. It was a dumb thing to say... Anyway, I love Heather. But at least she threw a bomb in the first episode so that we have something to talk about.
Starting point is 00:59:20 Otherwise, what's her to talk about. Yeah. Okay. This was so beyond. Elkinson, former playmate and girls next door. She is a realtor. She's very nice. She's a divorced mom.
Starting point is 00:59:34 You know, she's had so many spinoffs with the Wii TV when she was with the husband, Hank, and, you know, they've been divorced for a long time. The kids are doing great. And she is a realtor. And real estate is very hard. I've done it for a long time. But she went to her Instagram, which I think she definitely regretted because when I saw this article, I went to her Instagram and it was gone. Oh. But she put up a video of her car.
Starting point is 00:59:55 crying because she was working with someone for a long time and they fired her without her making any money off of it, which is the hard part of real estate is you don't make any money until the thing closes, which is why people like to get listings, because if you have the listing, you hope that pretty much someone will probably sell it for you when they bring their buyer in and you'll make the commission. But when you're showing people houses and houses and houses for months and months, they can just walk into another open house and buy it off of that person. So that is the hard part of our real estate. But she cried and cried about it. And I was like, well, the thing about real estate is, for 99% of the people buying a house, it's going to be their biggest, most valuable asset of their life,
Starting point is 01:00:45 selling it or buying it. So that's a very stressful moment. Now, I don't need to worry about my realtor crying if it doesn't work out. Like if it doesn't work out and you don't get your commission and you spend 30 hours with me, I can't feel bad about that. Like that is not what it's about. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:03 And sometimes you'll make $30,000 and you work to 10 hours. It just is the way the game works. But it's okay. She took it down and then she did an ad for a GLP1. And so you could get GLP1 from her. If you don't want to buy a house from her, you can get a GLP1 from her. Yeah, I'm sure she got a follow boost from this. But look, she's very emotional.
Starting point is 01:01:23 she's like a very fragile person. I met her at an event not that long ago very briefly, but she was really sweet. She was so sweet. Yeah, she was like, hi, I'm Kendra. And she had another and she was like kind of dressed normally. It was for some magazine. She was in the party.
Starting point is 01:01:37 Yeah. Was that? Wait, we were together. We were together. Oh, my God. I forgot. But I had to get that, that party. But that was a party you brought me to.
Starting point is 01:01:47 Yes. She was with someone else. And I remember thinking, oh, is that your manager. or your publicist, and it was just someone that she works with in real estate. So she takes it very seriously. No, she definitely does. And I can see crying. Yeah, but the difference is don't put it on your Instagram.
Starting point is 01:02:05 Like, keep it professional, you know. And I remember there was a time when she came on my show and she, all of her Instagram was just real estate. She's like, I'm just going to do real estate stuff and go on open houses and fill that. And so, you know, but you think for some reason why? post it. Now she did take it down. Yeah. But. I don't know why they don't just put her on like selling sunset or something.
Starting point is 01:02:29 I think she's tried. She had a bunch of real estate shows and stuff. Yeah. I don't think she, I don't know. But she, she is, she knows what she's doing. She is a good realtor. Yeah. And realtors do cry a lot as being an old one. Okay, let's, I want to hear why Lana Del Rey skip Taylor Swift star set in wedding for another party, despite their years of friendship. This has been haunting you. Yes. And you. And you. want to, why do you think? Well, I'm obsessed with this. First, I'm a big Lana Del Rey fan, but, you know, as
Starting point is 01:02:59 we know, Taylor Swift's wedding, a thousand people went. People that she definitely did not know. I mean, there was the most random celebrities there that she may have met once. She has been friends with, well, she's known Lana Del Rey for over a decade at this point. They have been to plenty of parties
Starting point is 01:03:15 together. They share the same producer, Jack Antonoff, who, you know, is a mutual friend of both of them. Taylor brought Lana Del Rey with her to the Grammys. They walked the, the, the grand, she came with her to the Super Bowl when, you know, the big Super Bowl where Taylor ran out and kissed Travis on the field and it was a whole big spectacle. Lana Del Rey was there with Ice Spice in the VIP box. So, you know, if anyone is going to be there out of this thousand person guest list, you would expect that it would be Lana Del Rey. And, you know, at first I just thought,
Starting point is 01:03:50 because we didn't see any pictures of her, but a lot of celebrities didn't get pictures. So I'm like, oh, Lana must just have not taken a photo. And then I found out just through sleuthing online that she went to some YouTuber's birthday party instead. She's known this, I did all my digging. She's known this a YouTuber for like a couple of years. So I think three years she's known, and she was like a fan of his on YouTube. She's known Taylor a lot longer. And I'm like, okay, you blew off.
Starting point is 01:04:20 maybe the biggest celebrity wedding of all time to go to some YouTuber's birthday party. And then, you know, Lana doesn't post much online. Like she's quite reclusive. And she even commented on the post. It was something like, oh, what was the comment? Like, oh my God, you know, thank you so much for having me here on the 4th of July, like making the date clear. I feel like she was making it very clear. Like, I was not at this wedding. So I'm convinced that they've had a falling out. I think what it's over is, I think Lana felt like Taylor was using her for clout and publicity. And I think the, the straw that broke the camel's back, I think it was the Grammys. I don't know if you remember this.
Starting point is 01:05:08 Lana and Taylor were both nominated for Album of the Year. Taylor won, of course, because she wins everything. And she, like, dragged Lana on stage. She made this big show of it. It was really awkward. and you could tell that like Lana didn't want to be up on stage. And I think she just felt... What year was that?
Starting point is 01:05:23 In 2024. Okay. And I think she feels like Taylor is very performative. Because, you know, Taylor, everything Taylor does is for publicity. Like, she is that thought out. She is that calculated. If you even... Well, I mean, having your wedding at Madison Square Garden with a thousand people...
Starting point is 01:05:41 I mean, the biggest... Says it all. Yeah. But, I mean, she... Which is okay. That's who she is. You know, you can still like her music and like her. Yeah, but I think Lana Del Rey is like a...
Starting point is 01:05:49 genuine person. Like, you know, she's not. I mean, she got married in a swamp to an alligator tour guide. You know, she's not like that. And like, when I was looking at their, their friendship, it was always very performative from Taylor. Like, Taylor would get up to it, accept an award, and then she would mention Lana and their friendship or whatever, or she would have her at the Super Bowl with, you know, all of the press there, drag her up on stage. And what if, what if the reason was that Lana Jory was like, you shouldn't have abandoned Blake lively. That would be juicy. If she was just like, you know what?
Starting point is 01:06:26 You were around. You did all those things. But maybe she does think that because maybe she doesn't. You never know. You're never going to know. Friendships do end. I mean, I always talk about how people make such a big deal if a girl friendship ends.
Starting point is 01:06:39 Yeah. Yet if you leave the father of your three kids, it's like, good for you, girl. No questions asked. So who knows? I mean, just, yeah, rub the wrong way. blew her off, didn't invite her to something. She just got turned off.
Starting point is 01:06:53 She might have just been like, I don't find her that interesting anymore. Like, it served its purpose. They're done for sure. If she didn't go to the wedding, they're done. And I also saw that Lana unfollowed her, but she still follows Travis, but she does not follow Taylor anymore. And this is usually something I would think that more people would have picked up on because people love, like, celebrity fallings out.
Starting point is 01:07:12 But I think it flew under the radar because of Blake lively, got all the attention of like a Taylor and Blake. And, yeah, Taylor's very performative. If you even remember, remember when she had the girls squad? You know what? I wonder if Blake and Lana are friends. And wouldn't it be interesting if Lana got it from Blake's perspective
Starting point is 01:07:33 and heard it from Blake first? And that just turned her off to Taylor right from the start and was just like, that's not being a girl's girl. Like, I don't like it. I think she just figured out you're very performative. Like, this is not organic. Everything you do is a show and is for the press and is for your image and how it's going to make you look.
Starting point is 01:07:50 And I think Taylor thought that it looked cool having Lana Del Rey on. Because, you know, Lana Del Rey has like a lot of credibility. Like she's kind of like, you know, she would be like the coolest female artist of kind of like. And she's pretty reclusive too. So I think for Taylor to be like, I'm the one that got, you know, Lana Del Rey to leave the swamp and walk the red carpet with me. I look pretty good. And I think Lana could get out. But also, what if you're someone that just.
Starting point is 01:08:16 you don't like stuff like a thousand person wedding. You're just like, I don't want to do it, and I don't really even like her, and it sounds like a nightmare, and she hasn't been a good friend to me in the last couple of years. So guess what? I'm not fucking going. Like, to me, that's some people, that's a nightmare. Obviously, for someone like me, I would die to go. Yes.
Starting point is 01:08:35 But like for other people, that is not a good time. But Lana has gone to the Met Gala in recent years. Like, she will go to some of these big showy things. It's just her. It's just her. it down. She definitely snubbed it. Okay. We may or may not keep this story yet.
Starting point is 01:08:54 But I promise you I would tell you. Yes, Heather. Why are we talking about Ed Sheerring? Right before we started, it popped up in my calendar that my husband put in Ed Shearin at Sofi Stadium, like August something. And I'm like, I said to my son, Drake, I'm like, why is dad
Starting point is 01:09:11 doing this? Is this rage baiting? And you're like, why would you say that? God. Okay, the story with Ed Shearron, I still am triggered by anything Ed Shearine related, okay? And this is why. We were in Mammoth, okay, for we have a little place there. And all of a sudden, my husband checked my daughter when she was in college, her location. Because he remembered that for Christmas that year, he bought her Ed Shearan tickets. Okay?
Starting point is 01:09:46 Yeah. Didn't really talk about it, remind it, he just remembered. Or he didn't know what this was. He started to see other people and their kids at Ed Shearron. Oh, yeah. So he's like, oh, I remember I gave McKinsey Ed Shearron tickets for Christmas. And he sees her location and she's still in her Long Beach apartment and she's not at Dodger Stadium. So he's like, why aren't you at Ed Shearan, you know?
Starting point is 01:10:08 And she just was like, I couldn't find anybody who wanted to go with me. So I just didn't go. and for the five-hour drive home from Mammoth, it was just constant. Why wouldn't she tell us? I could have sold those tickets. Why did she try to five-s-sit? And I'm defending her being like,
Starting point is 01:10:30 you don't, first of all, she never had an Ed Shearren poster in her room. She never said she loved Ed Shearin. He's pretty uncool. She's a young girl. Like, she's going to think he's cheesy as hell. Like, she would not want to go. You shouldn't buy someone
Starting point is 01:10:43 an experience that they never asked for. You really shouldn't. You shouldn't buy someone a trip to China if they never said they wanted to go to China and hear your plane tickets and you're like, I don't want to go. So, but I'm telling you, just what I would think, like hour two were done talking about it, it would start again about Ed Shearid. And for years after, we'd be driving in a car and Ed Sheard said, I could come out of my son and be like, Mom, are you triggered?
Starting point is 01:11:07 I'm like, yeah, like, I recorded it. I recorded the ranting about Ed Sheard and why McKinsey didn't. go there. And I just was like, God, let it go. She's not a bad kid. Like, like, what would be, she stayed in her dorm room. Like, what's worse? That she's out hustling, selling tickets to a stranger in front of Dodger Stadium at 19 years old just that she could recoup the $80. Like, nobody could go. And she didn't think to call us to have you sell it online. Like, leave her alone. She probably didn't want to hurt his feelings either. Like, she probably just wanted him to think that she went. Right. She just was like, who care? He'll never remember. And I'm like,
Starting point is 01:11:43 you're just man because you're seeing all these other parents flexing that they took their kid to Ed Shearan and he reminded you that you got a Scher ticket. Anyway, he's going. And maybe it's a full circle moment. Maybe we should go to the Ed Shearin concert. So is he a big Ed Sheeran fan? I mean, like,
Starting point is 01:12:02 because to get tickets for her, which she didn't ask for, then years later to buy tickets to the new tour without telling you, that's a lot. I don't know. I wonder if we should just go as a family. It's not Ed's fault. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:18 Ed Sherrod had nothing to do with the five-hour traumatic drive back from Mammoth to L.A. as a family of four. Because we were all hostage. We were hostage in the car. Yeah. And we all were like trying to just go like, she's not a bad kid. Yeah. Like it was.
Starting point is 01:12:36 I will say every time I have tickets to go to a concert and then I always don't want to go the day of. and I'm like, why did I get these tickets? But then when I'm there, I always have a good time. So maybe go. You're always happy when you go. Yes. Any kind of show, especially in L.A., it's just a lot of effort.
Starting point is 01:12:52 Yeah. So it's like, I just saw this guy like, I just saw this like TikToker that goes, my policy is if it's not a fuck yeah, it's a fuck no. And I'm like, how many times, like about everything?
Starting point is 01:13:06 So someone's like, hey, you want to go to this in two weeks? You're like, let me think about it. Fuck yeah. I have heard, if you don't want to go. go, if someone asked you to something and you wouldn't want to go that night, then you shouldn't say yes. Yeah. Especially when it's like a long drive, it involves a parking lot, a lot of walking. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:26 Waiting. A lot. And it depends where you're seated as well. Like, do you have good seats? Is it comfortable? So I went to Hillary Doff with Zach Peter recently. But he got the tickets actually. So thank you, Zach.
Starting point is 01:13:37 And he got us the best tickets or whatever. So we had our own bar down the bottom. And it was like comfortable. and, you know, we didn't have to wait in the crazy lines, and he got me an Uber there and back with him. So it was comfortable and we had a good time. But it's, you know, it's a lot generally to do anything. That's what I think.
Starting point is 01:13:55 I think sometimes it's that. And I always think someone asked me like Hollywood Bowl, like August whatever, and it was a Sunday. And I was like imagining the Hollywood Bowl. And the only thing I live about Hollywood Bowl is just that it's pretty and that you're like expected to drink a lot of wine and have like a cheeseboard. So those are all things I love.
Starting point is 01:14:16 Yes. But then I thought that day I'm going to be in my pool an hour and a half away, which means I'll have to get out of my pool by like three to get cute by five to then drive there. And I was like, or I could just listen to it in my pool drinking red wine and having a cheeseboard. But then if I go, I'll feel like I had a wonderful time. and so glad that I left. What did you choose?
Starting point is 01:14:47 I didn't go. I mean, it's tough to go anywhere now. Like with me going the movies, I go the movies all the time, but I will only go to like the Alamo. I will only go to a theater that has no talking, no texting, dine in food where they will come and like bring me a burger or whatever. Like a reclining seat.
Starting point is 01:15:08 Like I'm not going to an AMC. I'm not sitting there with people. scrolling on their phones and like watching loudly, it's too much. Jacques Peterson, Australian cutie. Where can people follow you? Unpopular JP on Instagram for everything. You know, I post my stories all the time. I also have a Patreon podcast.
Starting point is 01:15:29 It's kind of like yours. You know, I just, you know, juicy gossip that I can't say publicly and, you know, just what's going on with me and, you know, my life. So, yeah, check it out. I love it. I so appreciate you and our friendship. For more of everything with me, you guys, Heather MacDonald.net. Thank you. Bye.
