Starting point is 00:00:01 What's up everybody and welcome back to another episode of the Julian Dory Podcast. I am Julian Dord. I'm Joey Dave. How are you doing? Joey Dief, what's the story here, bro? What's up? I mean, you're one of the most famous Chinese guys on the internet and China just hacked the DOJ and a lot of other places. So I feel like you'd be plugged in to know who did it.
Starting point is 00:00:24 This is where I pull the Fauci on this one. Oh, you're pulling the Fauci. Yeah, plead the fifth. Yeah, pre-de the FI. They don't have... Oh, that's like... the first 40 seconds on YouTube, huh? That's going to be... I think we're going to leave it. I think we're going to roll with it. That was pretty good.
Starting point is 00:00:40 Yeah. I don't think they have a fifth over in China, though, Chinese. No, no, no, they don't have a fifth. They don't have a first. Yeah, there's no first, fourth, no. I think you're pretty much fucked. Yeah, they have the Geizong Dynasty of sorts or, you know... The guy John dynasty. That's not a real thing. That's not a real thing. It sounds real, though. It does sound real. All right, well, you got an intro to do, right? I don't think I should should keep going on with the Chinese stuff. I should get myself in the hot water here. You've been taken over all the intros, Joey Deef. That's what it is. You know, we got to, we got to see what
Starting point is 00:01:10 the latest and greatest is with the kid over here. But I'm sure we'll be able to get Professor Jang's take on it and he'll, you know. Okay, okay, okay, okay. Yeah, welcome to the end of the world. That's right. That's one of the best meeting, brother. Anyway, all right. So we did have Danny Jones in town this week. That episode will be coming out next week. Always great to have Danny rolling through a lot of good action in that conversation. But a lot to get to today, Joey Deef. More Epstein coverups. More Epstein coverups. It's just, you know, one after the other. So, of course, we'll hit that as we always do. We are one of the few channels out here keeping that story alive. I feel like this is some pure spec here, but I do feel like
Starting point is 00:01:49 maybe I'm just being a little optimistic here, that something will break here, something that we don't see right now, that's not necessarily in the files themselves that will force a lot of the people to bring it back into the lexicon. Because again, we're still waiting on 3 million more that they illegally are holding
Starting point is 00:02:09 back. It just is one of the wildest ignored stories I've ever seen. They have been legally told they have to release it and they just said, yeah, fuck you. Yeah, yeah, I mean, that's tale is oldest time. It's crazy. Tale is all those times. We'll talk about that. Also, the CIA director went to Russia with
Starting point is 00:02:24 love or hate, I don't know. We'll find out. See what happened there. Joey Deef has also been drone attacking some fishing boats off the Galapagos Island on behalf of the United States government. Yeah, well, money talks, folks. Money does talk. I'm not paying enough. I paid a lot of call of duty growing up and I learned that all this warfare stuff, it's all going to parallel with one another. That's right. Just gaming. Hey guys, if you're not following me on Spotify, please hit that follow button and leave a five-star review. They're both a huge huge help. Thank you. So we'll talk about that. Meta is also now going to start limiting what kids can do on
Starting point is 00:03:02 social media, which is a very interesting compromise. They're getting Chinese with it. They're getting Chinese with it. Like, and that's not even a joke. It's not a joke. It's literal. Yeah. I have, I'm still formulating some thoughts on that.
Starting point is 00:03:17 Me too. I have always played with the idea that like in this country so you can vote at 8,000. 18 obviously at that point you're someone who has a part of the process and part of the system. So therefore all constitutional rights apply to you. And my thought has always been they apply to kids as well. But when it comes to things when you're in developmental stages and still under the guardianship of your parents and then maybe with the internet now there's things that parents can't fully control. Because it's not possible. Maybe that's not the worst thing.
Starting point is 00:03:50 Obviously you guys know very well. I always look at slippery slopes even when it's a tough. conversation, but we'll talk about that today because it's an interesting development that's happened there and certainly is a precedent setter. That's the big thing. Yeah, I want to see draft kings do it next. Now, that should be, that should be low-hanging fruit. That should be the lowest-hanging food. Listen, I'm not going to keep diving into it. But when I had that stint in event photography, I was at a lot of weddings and bar mitzvahs and stuff like that where they were just kids gambling on draftings. Which just doesn't make sense. Anyway, neither here. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:04:24 That's a good point. It's a really good point. So we'll talk about that. Obviously, Flok CEO continues to be down bad. You know, I can't have an episode without talking about our good friend, Garrett Langley. We'll be hitting that today. I'll call him Clarence Langley. I was calling him Craig or Greg at the beginning. So we've come a long way. It says a lot. It does say a lot. Yeah. And also, Joey Deaf was doing some digging, some deep dives, if you will. And Peter Thiel's a little more connected to flock than we even originally thought, possible. Pure spec, but it's got some evidence, so do it that way you will. So we'll be talking about that. But starting off with some of this Epstein stuff, you know I got a hit our other friend Barry Weiss once again, not literally, obviously. That's a crime, but figuratively right here. Sager put out a little tidbit a few weeks ago on Twitter.
Starting point is 00:05:15 Shout out to Saga and Gentie. Great follow on Twitter. But CBS, and I'm reading straight from Saga right here, CBS apparently had a major Epstein story in the works detailing major corruption at the top of Wall Street banks and involving the Virgin Islands government. Never made it to air under the new Barry Weiss-Ellison leadership. I wonder why. So can we click the Jason Leopold thing before I get to Sagar's response right there? All right. So the reports also said that Wyden was interviewed about his investigation in March by then 60 Minutes correspondent Sharon Alfonzi for a segment the news program was reporting about Wall Street
Starting point is 00:05:52 banks and the U.S. Virgin Island government's relationship with Epstein. Now, if you remember, Jeffrey Epstein was in there, the Washington Post actually did some great work on this. After the fact, going back and reviewing the tape, he was in there literally fucking live texting Stacey Plaskin, who I believe represents the U.S. Virgin Islands as a representative while she was in a hearing deposing, I think Michael Cohen at the time back in like 2019. This is before he was arrested. And they have her live reacting to the text he was sending in real time that we got access to
Starting point is 00:06:25 later and were able to line it up. That he was like feeding her questions as to what to ask, which is fucking crazy. So anyway, back to this tweet. The Virgin Island government's relationship with Epstein. Two months later, CBS fired Alfonzi, the reporter who was working on this after she publicly criticized CBS News leadership
Starting point is 00:06:41 and editor-in-chief Barry Weiss's editorial decisions involving a different segment she reported. Neither the Wyden interview referring to Senator Ron Wyden, nor the broader Epstein story has aired. Now we can go back to what Sauger said about this right here. But he said this was an updated statement from a CBS spokesman in response to this coming out where they said, we are proud of our aggressive and extensive reporting.
Starting point is 00:07:09 They've been aggressive and extensive. They're crushing it. Right, they've been crushing it. Our aggressive and extensive reporting on the Epstein scandal, that reporting continues. We air pieces when they are ready and suggesting that an interview is being suppressed for any reason is categorically false. So an interview you did back in March,
Starting point is 00:07:26 that's now fucking stale is very old food now in August. It's not being suppressed? They'll put it out over Labor Day. Yeah, they'll put it out of it. That's what they do. A little Friday Labor Day news dump. Which, by the way, Joey Deef. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:41 Leon Black's going to be testifying allegedly on Thursday. That's good. Right? Yeah. I'm sure everyone will be tuned into that as they head down to the shore and to wherever vacation destinations they go. That's right. I'm sure we're going to get to the bottom of it as well. Yeah, definitely. They're going to get the real truth. We're going to get the black and white truth of it. Yes. But this one apparently is going to be on video where Leon Black will, you'll be able to see him answer some of these questions and squirm like a little fish, I'm sure.
Starting point is 00:08:12 But yeah. We will definitely react to that when it happens. It's just, it feels like Barry Weiss, if I set up the perfect, you know, what's the term for it? Isn't there like an official, like, spooky term? It's not what I was getting at. Oh, you said Barry Weiss. Right. Sorry, folks. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:36 But if I were setting up the perfect, like, little stick of dynamite to roll into CBS just to get rid of it forever, I would have hired Barry Weiss to be the editorial person in charge of the whole. whole place. Well, in that case, you'd be rolling in a bowling ball. Yeah. We could cut this out if we did. Yeah, it's okay. Ah, Barry. God damn it. Very Barry. We don't usually record in the mornings, but Deaf's really on one today. You don't like morning episodes on the opposite. Deaf is on one. If you told me we did 6 a.m. recordings, I'd be like, fuck yes. Oh, God, no. No, no, no, no. I got get in the gym before it. By 1 p.m. I'm done. But you know who actually did some more work trying to expose Jeffrey Epstein than Barry Weiss?
Starting point is 00:09:29 This is how low the bar is. The heff. The original heifer. Oh, you? Yes. So let's pull this up. There's a full story. You want the Post article?
Starting point is 00:09:40 Yeah. There's a full story in the New York Post, which is very administratively friendly. No way. In the New York Post, they published this. Oh yeah, this is crazy. Hugh Hefner repeatedly, not once, but repeatedly called the FBI on Jeffrey Epstein after a Playboy playmate was R-worded. Lawsuit details reveal. So Playboy founder Hugh Hefner repeatedly called the FBI to report Jeffrey Epstein for sexual abuse in 2005.
Starting point is 00:10:14 Wow. This is before, this is right when that initial investigation was allegedly beginning. behind the scenes in West Palm Beach with the local sheriff's department there. After a playboy playmate told him that she was R-worded in traffic by a disgrace financier according to new details in a lawsuit. Audra Lynn Christensen, Miss October 2003, turned to heft for help when she was 23 and living in his Beverly Hills mansion, prompting the late magazine publisher to call the agency, referring to the FBI, multiple times for assistance, according to the suit, filed by 32.
Starting point is 00:10:51 Epstein victims against the United States. In addition to the rape allegations, Christensen said she confided in Hefner that she also was trafficked to one of his rich friends, Macau Casino billionaire Stanley Ho, China's godfather of gambling. Do you know him, Joey Deef? I do, yeah. You do? Yeah. Good guy. Good guy. Oh, apparently not. I can't. I can't have that. But in your experience, he's been a good guy. Yeah. Isn't it funny disgraced financier? Yeah. Magazine publisher. It's so funny the way we label things, you know? Well, we just caught you in Elijah, Deep, because Stanley Ho died in 2020, according to the filing.
Starting point is 00:11:25 Well, COVID. He did his last big, his last big project was to get COVID out to the world, and he was in Wuhan. They did it, and he's like, I can go peacefully now. You can go peacefully now. That's what he told you. This is his last little master plan? Yeah, but it's a lot more syllables than that.
Starting point is 00:11:43 All right. Just go. Sorry. Just go. Yeah. Hepner to call on her behalf in 2005 because she felt he had law enforcement connections and the clout to her allegations were taken seriously. Mr. Haffner called the FBI multiple times on behalf of Mrs. Christensen to report Jeffrey Epstein. The complaint states, the revelations
Starting point is 00:12:03 are part of an amended complaint in May in the U.S. District Court of Southern District of Florida by Epstein victims who charged the FBI failed to act on the multiple reports about his sexual abuse as early as 1996. As early as 1996. The fact that the FBI is trying to utilize procedural technicalities to try to avert accountability and responsibility for its failures to properly investigate Jeffrey Epstein for over 20 years should be deeply concerning to all. Jordan Merson, lawyer for the victims, told the post, how can you learn from errors if you do not acknowledge them? Christensen, now 46, who was part of the reality TV series, The Girls Next Door, was only contacted by the FBI in October 2020, 15 years after after made the calls.
Starting point is 00:12:44 After Epstein's death, to follow up on the information provided 15 years earlier, according to the lawsuit. We all know the stories about, for example, Alex Acosta, the U.S. attorney working on the initial case saying someone came to him and said Epstein's intelligence, he's above your pay grade. We all know that a lot of this was shoved under the rug. We all know that they gave him the deal of the lifetime in that initial fucking case. But the fact that the FBI had all this information from people like Hugh Fogner all these years ago and didn't think about the irony of them only acting on it after this guy allegedly unalived himself, which we all know he definitely didn't do. And who knows, he might even still be alive. Like, it's absolutely absurd to me that
Starting point is 00:13:29 this can just be reported. And, eh, what are you going to do? That's where we're at. It's, it's full blown. What are you going to do? When some lose some. Well, because he didn't, because didn't he, I don't know the specifics, but he got like canceled after he died too, right? Didn't like a bunch of people come out and say he was like drugging and abusing? playmates and stuff. So that's even more. Oh, Hefner. Yeah, yeah. Oh, I forgot about that. Yeah. It was like 2021 or 2022. Yeah. But it's, that's crazy. But yeah, it's also like this is how low the bar was. Yeah, yeah. It was like, yeah, this guy's a problem. Yeah, 2020. That's when he got canceled.
Starting point is 00:14:07 Yeah, there was allegations of coercion, manipulation, sexual misconduct, drugging. And it's like, well, there it is. There it is. There it is. There it. is and now our current head of the FBI. And, you know, I don't even, I don't know the extent of this or how serious it was, but again, how many times we're going to say to history. O'E. D. We're going to keep saying it forever, the optics. Yeah. So I have the Archive.js right there with Sarah Ferguson and Cash Patel. So Lady Fergie, who is the former Prince Andrews' ex-wife, who's a real gem, if you ever looked at her life. she was getting in touch with Cash Patel in 2025
Starting point is 00:14:53 after he becomes the head of the FBI trying to put him in touch with Lady Victoria Harvey who I believe dated Prince Andrew at one point as well and if you don't remember this lady she was the one who went on Pierce Morgan last year and said that it was actually embarrassing if you didn't make it into the Epstein files And her logic was because if you didn't make it into the Epstein files, that means you weren't a real person and weren't important and weren't running in the right circles and you weren't a part of the club.
Starting point is 00:15:28 And you need to be in the club because clout is what matters and Jeffrey Epstein had clout. Her word's not mine. He unfortunately did have clout though. Like she's right about that part. But the fact that you'd be like, yeah, no, it's kind of pathetic if you're not in the files. Like, who even are you? again read the room lady so that's the woman at the middle of this but this article where did i get this on the archive dot is from this is from bloomberg that's right so i just want to read the title up there joad dee for a quick so this is new fbi ebstein email shows sarah ferguson contacted
Starting point is 00:16:03 cash betel now we can go down and she did date prince andrew she did dr lady victoria harvey that's right So by now the relationship between Epstein and former Royals Prince Andrew and the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, otherwise known as Fergie, is well documented. Emails from the Epstein files released by the Department of Justice in January show the Andrew Mountbatten-Wisner, Windsor, as he has now known, maintained a close friendship with Epstein well after Andrew publicly distanced himself in the disgraced financier. The email. Disgraced financier is killing me now. Yeah, that's where we're at. Disgraced financier. There's a lot of things you could put instead of finance here. That's what I'm saying, dude.
Starting point is 00:16:44 It's like world-renowned pedophile, you know, intelligence asset. I don't know. That's right. You know, disgraced Rothschild's agent. I don't know. Something. The emails also show that Ferguson remained in contact with Epstein after his 2008 guilty plea for soliciting prostitution from a minor, asking him for financial advice and
Starting point is 00:17:07 helping and asking for help to pay off her debts. So she and Andrew were constantly running up debts. This has been well documented. There's also reports that Jeffrey Epstein, I'm trying to remember because I haven't looked at this in a while, but he actually paid some of them and was financially assisting her for a long time, which like, just think about that. At the time, a convicted sex offender who is a private citizen of the United States was paying for the lifestyle of someone, even though she was devised. divorced from Andrew, she lived in the same house with him and was an active member in, say, the royal community. I'll put that in air quotes right there. Whose X is a literal royal.
Starting point is 00:17:50 Yeah. Like this is just, we're just going to be like, yeah, nothing to see here. There wasn't someone in the royal's office who sits there all day with nothing else to do except manage the literal royals right there, not looking at this going, hey, wait a minute. Why is this guy in New York fucking Why is Sarah getting paid by this dude Epstein? Like there wasn't one guy in the office who could ask that question? There was, and then they send in the little,
Starting point is 00:18:19 there's always like a five foot tall guy who really has the power and he comes in, he's like, well, fucking guillotine. Yeah, okay, okay, and he fixes the books. They're never seen again. Never seen again. Never seen again. And you were right. Epstein did help fund her in 2011.
Starting point is 00:18:33 I was right. Okay, wow. assistance from Epstein. In 2011, Sarah Ferguson admitted that Jeffrey Epstein helped arrange or fund the payments of a debt owed to her former personal assistant. Newly unseed emails, unsealed emails, and documents from the U.S. Department of Justice indicate Epstein and associates advised Ferguson on avoiding bankruptcy and help negotiate down what she owed to creditors. Ferguson previously acknowledged her, quote, gigantic error of judgment. Yeah, I'd say so, Sarah. I'd say so. I'd say so. And accepting financial help from Epstein after his initial conviction stated she intended to repay the funds. So she admitted it all the way back then. And then they stayed in contact after that.
Starting point is 00:19:17 Yeah. The audacity. Yeah, that's what's crazy. Joey Deef. All right, let's go back to the Cash Patel one, the one you got behind me. He helps negotiate down with the creditors. And he's like, well, I own the credit union. Yeah, he's like, listen, listen, I'm just going to make a call.
Starting point is 00:19:33 You know, she's a royal, okay? I'll get you into the party. Yeah, I, I, yeah, I'll be fine. Fergie, you're good. Just give me 25 May. Thank you. That's what he did. Poor judgment.
Starting point is 00:19:43 Poor judgment. We'll chalk it up to poor judgment. Whenever you hear words like poor judgment, lawyer. Or disgraced financier. Lawyer. That's, that is a lawyer somewhere going, yeah, let's, let's clean this up right here. Yeah. I know you were saying like I fucked up.
Starting point is 00:20:03 No, no, no. going to say you used poor judgment. It sounds cleaner, right? It's about telling stories. Yes, it's not the Facebook. It's Facebook. Exactly. Cleaner. Cleaner. Shorter. Anyway, so the new emails released by the FBI's FOIA page present a little intrigue. In March 2025, a year before the details of her communications with Epstein became public, Ferguson contacted a senior diplomat at the United States Embassy in London, the email show. She was reaching out to share that. contact information of a British socialite with incoming FBI director Cash Patel. The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, reached out and wanted to provide contact information
Starting point is 00:20:44 for Victoria Harvey. The Duchess was under the impression you requested the contact information, wrote David Walker, the FBI's legal attache in March 2025 email to Patel. Victoria Harvey can be reached at blank. In the event none of this makes sense, this was not a contact you were looking to obtain. Please feel free to ignore this email. That's a bizarre. That's a bizarre email for a lot of reasons. The first reason is that the idea that the FBI couldn't get the contact information for a high-level British socialite who's a well-known public figure like Lady of Victoria Harvey is laughable. The idea that a member or a past member who's still actively around and the mother of children of people in the
Starting point is 00:21:28 royal family would be reaching out to an emissary of this guy. seemingly voluntarily to try to provide this information when they're in the middle of a very bad optic scandal at the time. An OS, if you will.
Starting point is 00:21:49 OS? An optic scandal. Sorry. Sorry, I didn't put two. Like I said, it's a morning shoot. Didn't put two and two together there. I'm a little slower. But like that's a big, hmm. Hmm. You know, wait, let's play this out, Joey, Dief.
Starting point is 00:22:05 What time was that email written? Do we have that? 9.18 p.m.? 316, yeah, and then the FBI guy replied at 9.18 a.m. Okay, so 316 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025. I wonder if that's local time or London time. Because if it's London time, there, I believe, five hours ahead at that point, right? So it would be 8.16 p.m.
Starting point is 00:22:30 Yeah. So let's just play this out, Joey, Deep. Maybe. I don't know, pure spec here. Sarah's sitting there. Five o'clock comes around. Happy hour. Starts down a little white wine.
Starting point is 00:22:43 Yeah. You know? Maybe gets a little, what are rich people eat? She gets Tuesday, isn't it? We go down to the pub with me mates. No, no, no. I don't think she's going to a pub,
Starting point is 00:22:54 Joy Deef. I think she's sitting alone in her house at this point. Yeah. But, you know, maybe she's got like a male escort there or something. The tittleizer here. He's tied up. Whatever they say about male escorts doing it to women. And then, you know, six o'clock comes around,
Starting point is 00:23:10 started to get six sheets to the wind. That bottle's looking a little empty. She's feeling like cash. Well, even before that, you know, she's in bankruptcy or close to it. Yeah. But she's still living in opulence because somehow it still works that way. You know, maybe Andrews in the other side of the house. She don't want to talk to them.
Starting point is 00:23:28 So now she's like bringing some escargo or like, What else the rich people eat? Oysters. Tar tar. Tart. Confi. What? Some duck confi.
Starting point is 00:23:38 The fuck is that? You know, you know, comfy. I don't know how to describe it. It's like, it's kind of like a tart tar. All right. Well, whatever. So she gets the private chef in there. He cooks her up what she needs.
Starting point is 00:23:50 Mm-hmm. Now it's like seven o'clock. At this point, you got to go from wine to a little brown liquor. Yeah. So there's some sort of like rich people mixed drink made there. I don't know. Takes a benzo. Takes a benzo.
Starting point is 00:24:02 Why not? And then an hour later, she is slurring words, doesn't know where she is. And now that late night booty call turns into late night cash Patel email. And she's like, I need that motherfucker who's running the FBI on the horn stat. And he's like, girl, you're looking like me after that NHL final right now. I like your style. And he's like, I got you what you need. I mean, imagine him after the NHL final, or not the NHL, the Olympics final.
Starting point is 00:24:35 Yeah, whatever that was. When he was chugging him and everything. Yeah, yeah, that's what I meant. He already is having some trouble. But after that, I mean, the glaze has got to be like. It's like, I can't believe we're drinking this many beers right now, guys. I can't believe he can see that there are beers. He just.
Starting point is 00:24:48 Yeah, no, he's all over the place. But that could have happened. I don't know. Totally just made that up. Seems very plausible, though. I'll let you guys decide in the comment section, though. I just thought this was weird and worthy of repriments. report because this is not, it's not like, you know, some 2008 email or something, which will
Starting point is 00:25:05 also be like, you know, a real smoking gun or something like that. But at least back then, they had the guys of like no one's talking about this. So we can do some biz behind the scenes. What do you make like the little final line in the email of like, oh, if this wasn't what you were looking for and you're confused, just throw this in the trash. I'm like, that just feels like that depends on talking. Yeah. That's the like I, you know, I'm a super bitch. I don't know why I said this, but, you know. That's, that's the Benzos talking right there. Yeah, so it's unclear what Lady Victoria Harvey Walker misspelled her surname in the email. He was drunk to. Might have wanted to contact Patel about. She is a British socialite who makes an appearance
Starting point is 00:25:44 in the Epstein files. She has long defended Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, whom she once dated and downplayed his relationship with Epstein. Again, if you weren't in the files, you weren't important according to her. You know, it was like a bit. I mean, Kurt Metzger made it. Kurt Metzger was in the files. He's important. Well, like, even the way they put it here, it's like the British socialite who makes an appearance in the Epstein, it's like a guest spot on a TV show. It's like, oh yeah, I made my appearance like 09. I think we sent those emails. That's like he made it on fucking friends or Seinfeld in the Epstein file. It's like, it's like getting CSI as an actor. You're like, listen, I got law and order. I'm the dead body. Shit's about to change. I
Starting point is 00:26:26 I got law and order. I don't have a line, but you see me. Made an appearance in the E-Files. Made an appearance wearing some fucking eyes wide shut mask. Which, you know, and by the way, not to, there's a little side swipe. We love Kurt Metzger. Kurt Metzger, did be clear. When I say he made it in the files, it's because he was doing a comic show at the cellar. At the cellar.
Starting point is 00:26:49 And someone emailed Jeffrey Epstein who was in the cellar that night. And Kurt Metzger talked about it when he's on the show. So obviously Kurt Metzger is not like in the files. He just had the cloud of being mentioned in there. Yeah, I mean, you could have been subscribed to your newsletter. And if your newsletter went in every morning, you're in there. You made an appearance. So if Lady Victoria Harvey's talking about the clout of being in the Epstein files, though,
Starting point is 00:27:10 and Kurt Metzker's in them, she should probably make an appearance on the mystery boys with Curtin and Funkin' Duncan. I think she owes that. I think that would be the best thing she could do for her career right now. What is her, what is the career of a British socialite? Do you know what that looks like, Joey Diff? Well, yeah, it's probably just a lot of, like, playing polo and... I don't think she's swinging a stick. She's swinging a stick, all right.
Starting point is 00:27:37 Stick a X right into that glass of wine. I'm going to swing that right in there, QB sneak. That's what she's doing. So that's the job. Yeah. A little whine, little wine. Little zanny, a little wine. Sound pompous.
Starting point is 00:27:51 Couple executions on a Tuesday. A couple executions. Yeah, I just imagine there's still a dungeon and people are chained up. I just, I hope it's still like that, at least. You hope it's still like that. Yeah. We need some excitement right now, dude. That would be exciting to you.
Starting point is 00:28:05 The world's getting bleak. If you told me that they're like chaining people up under the castle and that there's a moat and a dragon coming, I'd be like, thank fucking God. Thank God. I need some action in my life, Joey Defe says. Yeah. My six is watching, dude. Yeah. You know, some of it is just, it's already been told to us in art, and maybe it's definitely
Starting point is 00:28:30 it's a lot worse. Danny Jones and I were talking yesterday. He went back. I told him I went back and watched Eyes Wise Shut again a couple months ago. So he went back and watched it on the plane here yesterday. And he was like, dude. And you know, like, all the stuff that went down with that movie? Yeah, but tell the people who don't know.
Starting point is 00:28:50 So Eyes Wide Shuts, 1999, and Joey Deeb's going to tell you some of the backstory. here. It was a Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman movie directed by Stan Crew. And it's going to be a half-baked backstory. So, but there was just a lot of disputes with him in the studios as to what was going to be allowed in the film, on the film. There was a cut that he wanted. They didn't want it. And yeah, then he died. Yeah, a few days after he showed the studios. Yeah, he died. And apparently when he was walking out of the showing with the executives, he was heard yelling like, this is my movie. God damn it. It was very contentious.
Starting point is 00:29:27 And the cut that they released happened to just be the cut that the studio preferred, which was, yeah. Which still shows a lot. So the cons, if you have not seen the film, I highly recommend it. It's still, even though Kubrick died and then they released it later and it was their cut and not his, it's still an excellent. Oh, yeah. Excellent film. And Stanley Kubrick is one of the goats. Stanley Kubrick, by the way, check the fuck out of Hollywood in the early 60s.
Starting point is 00:29:54 went to the UK because he was like, I'm out on this. This is not. Whatever was going on there, he was like, yeah, he's not interested in this life. Yeah. I want to make films. Yeah. You know, so he makes, you know, this is the guy who obviously did Space Odyssey,
Starting point is 00:30:11 Clockwork Orange, full metal jacket, like one of the legends of the game. So, he made Lolita. It made Lolita, the interesting name right there. Well, do you know the book Lolita? Uh-huh. Yeah. Again. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:30:29 Like, it's a lot of these ties where I'm like, he was keyed into what was going on. Because that is, that was a favorite of Epstein. Epstein's, a lot of these guys. And what was the plane named? The Lolita Express. Uh-huh. Yeah. They don't even hide it.
Starting point is 00:30:44 I know. So, eyes wide shut comes out in 1999. A lot of it was filmed in 1997. I built 96-97. It was all filmed in the UK, but it's all filmed in the UK. takes place in New York. And some spoiler alerts here. If you haven't seen it, highly recommend it.
Starting point is 00:31:00 But, you know, for the rest of you. Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, at the time they were a real life couple, they're the stars of this thing. And it, long story short, devolves into, they have this kind of weird marriage and they have one daughter together. But he's a doctor and takes care of some wealthy people. And they go to a party at the beginning. That's a normal party, as far as I can tell. But the guy who is running the party is a high New York socialite that is one of his Tom Cruise's patients. And then the pianist at that party who was hired happened to be someone who used to be in medical school with Tom Cruise's character.
Starting point is 00:31:42 So they get to talking later and the pianist talks about how he gets this other job where he has to wear a blindfold and they take him out to an address that they don't tell him about until an hour before. And Tom Cruise gets really curious and the guy says, look, if you're going to come, the password is Fidelio and you need to wear a cloak and a mask. Tom Cruise goes and gets a cloak and a mask and there's all kinds of, like the Easter eggs that Stanley Kubrick puts in his movies are always insane. The Easter eggs in this film, we will never know all of them. There are that many.
Starting point is 00:32:14 So there's a lot of different weird symbols that happen along the way that are being skipped in my little synopsis right here. But long story short, Tom Cruise shows up to this party. It's at a mansion, secluded mansion, which is supposed to be in like either Westchester County. I think it's Westchester, yeah. Yeah. Or, you know, one of the enclave places. But it was filmed, like I said, everything was filmed in the UK.
Starting point is 00:32:39 So of all the places, Stanley Kubrick filmed it at a rough child family mansion. Kind of interesting choice right there. Yeah. But he gets there and it's this satanic ritual with all these people in mass where, you know, it's this satanic sexual. ritual and he's eventually discovered to be an intruder and they kick him out and then they scare the shit out of him and that's kind of the movie right there but one of the things at the end that stayed in the cut that's sinister and it's been debated and i've seen different videos i want to say moon might have made a video on this where he talked about this it was one of them one a bigger
Starting point is 00:33:23 YouTube creator did because there's a bunch of cool videos trying to break down eyes wide shut but one of the guys I hope it was moon if it wasn't I'm sorry if I'm giving the wrong valor right there but in the final scene Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman take their little daughter Christmas shopping and there's all kinds of symbolism in the stuffed animals and stuff that are around that they're walking through but they have their they're talking about this whole odyssey that just happen to Tom Cruise and trying to make sense of all of it and get their life back together. And they are, they have their eyes completely on their daughter. And she's kind of guiding them through the store.
Starting point is 00:34:04 And then they come up to this one aisle and they kind of stop and they watch their daughter walk through them. And they watch her walk and slowly turn back towards them with like almost a little wave. And as they watch that, they turn towards each other and they never look her way again and she's gone. And as she's leaving, there are two men right there that are right in front of her that she's leaving with, allegedly. And those are some of the other, these two men, there's a constant theme of two men throughout
Starting point is 00:34:38 the film. Two men came and beat the shit out of one guy for talking. Two men were sitting at the table right there at the initial party that Tom Cruise went to when he was introducing his wife to his client, who was the guy at the middle of this. I talked about at the beginning. There's this constant two men thing. And so there may have been a little wink in a nod, dark wink in a nod right there from Stanley Kubrick. Pure Speck where he's saying that to preserve their lives, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kimman's characters after the shit that Tom Cruise pulled, they had to give their daughter up into the cult, which is like the darkest fucking.
Starting point is 00:35:22 thing ever, but it's so subtle that if that is the case, and that is what Kubrick was trying to get at, the studio executives who had the final edit on this film didn't even catch it, and it stayed in there. Yeah. Yeah, it's a
Starting point is 00:35:39 hell of a picture. I wonder if his cut even exists still. I wonder that all the time. I wonder if he had a dead man switch as we love saying. But I wonder if he actually did. Yeah, I'd love to know.
Starting point is 00:35:56 But he, you know, listen, he was older. You know, he was like 71, maybe, 72, something like that. He died of a heart attack. It's possible. It's possible that I have to say that. It was natural and whatever. And maybe he was very stressed out fighting over the final cut. But it's very notable that it was within days of the studio seeing his initial cut.
Starting point is 00:36:20 And it is a known fact that there was a strong. disagreement. Yeah. After that cut was viewed. Yeah. So I don't know. I think about that one a lot. I think it's it's one of those films that when it came out wasn't fully appreciated and as the years go on and also the weird stories in real life get weirder and weirder. Oh yeah. It ages like unfortunately I'll say it ages like the finest wine ever for all the wrong reasons. but I'm glad he did it and said like, hey, there's some sort of subculture here that's really bad.
Starting point is 00:36:57 Because there's no, Joey Deef, I'm a firm believer in this, there's no system, there's no group that is all one way. But there are groups that happen to exist that we well know now in any elite circles, whether you look at business, entertainment, you name it, finance, all of politics. There are circles that exist of really, really, really rotten apples.
Starting point is 00:37:21 And the one thing that they can do for sure, outside all the shit they do, is they can at least create an environment to where the people who are not rotten apples, if they know anything about it, don't fucking talk. Yep. Because it is above their pay grade. It's above their pay grade.
Starting point is 00:37:43 And Stanley Kubrick was a guy, when you look at his career, who kind of didn't give a fuck. Yeah, I mean, you should go back and watch 2001 and think about AI and technocracy because that's another one where I'm just like this fucking guy, dude. He was so fucking... He was on it.
Starting point is 00:38:04 He was... He was very brilliant, man. When we were having that conversation yesterday at dinner about, like, tapping into something different. Yeah, yeah. He's one of those guys I'll look at. Obviously, he was an amazing artist. but you just look at the stories he told and how they aged.
Starting point is 00:38:21 There was something in his brain, obviously some of its personal experience, but then like you talk about it with a space odyssey. Yeah. And like the ability to fine tune yourself into a dystopian future, but be able to see it like an Orwell did. Yeah, yeah. And they're doing this like decades and decades and decades out that it's just like, wow, crazy. Like I wonder how they felt living in their time,
Starting point is 00:38:48 having these thoughts, like, they must have really felt like they were on an island. No pun intended. Seriously. Yeah. No, it's, it's interesting. So I highly recommend that, that movie to everyone. Even, even just like the way it's made and the artistry. No, but it's, it's amazing.
Starting point is 00:39:08 It's a real, smoke in that pot. It's making you aggressive. I think the pot is making you aggressive. It's a pretty good Tom Cruise, Jardee. Cruz, dude. You got a good, you got a good little cruise. All right, but like I said, at the beginning, CIA director to Russia with love. What do you make of this, Joey Dief? Um, he's, uh, you know, just paying his homage. Paying his respects. Paying his respect to Putin. Let's pull with this article, try to get to the bottom of this. But obviously, the Ukraine war is coming up on five years at this point. Obviously, the United States has been funding the shit out of this for a long time.
Starting point is 00:39:48 Obviously, millions of people have been killed or are casualties of this war. Obviously, it's a bad luck. And obviously, we have also now seen an escalation to where Danny Jones and I talked about it yesterday. He brought it up. But now Zelensky launched a drone attack in the Caspian Sea that affected the Iranians, which could pierce back, but it seems, you know, one plus one usually equals two, which could be an effort to tie link. the Iran War with the Ukraine War, which would, by definition, start to turn this into a
Starting point is 00:40:25 World War type scenario. Very, very bad. It's like, it's all fucking simmering in all the wrong ways for all the wrong reasons. And now, APEC John Ratcliffe spawns in to Russia. And so to be clear, he did not meet directly with Putin, but he did meet directly with his counterbalt. counterpart, who is the head of Russia's FSB, which is like their CIA and formerly what was the KGB when it was the Soviet Union. So this is from Barry Weiss's CBS News. CIA director John Ratcliffe met Russian Intel counterparts on a secretive visit to Moscow, the Kremlin says.
Starting point is 00:41:06 News of his trip came after a U.S. Air Force Boeing C-17A Globmaster 3. What a name, by the way. A U.S. Air Force Boeing C-17A Globmaster 3. master three. Say that one four times fast. Transport plane was spotted flying into a Moscow airport Tuesday morning and then a U.S. diplomatic monorcade was seen driving through the city. The CIA did not comment on his trip, but Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov told reporters in Moscow on Wednesday that Ratcliffe held talks with Russian intelligence officials during his visit but that he did not meet with President Vladimir Putin. Peskov told reporters Putin was briefed on the talks, but he said it
Starting point is 00:41:45 was too soon to predict whether U.S. intelligence officials' meeting might help get bilateral U.S. Russian relations out of what's what he called, quote, a deep crisis, unquote, more than four and a half years into Russia's war on Ukraine. It wasn't immediately clear if Ratcliffe had left Moscow on Wednesday after his first known trip to Russia as CIA director. He has maintained contact with Russian intelligence counterparts during his tenure. According to CBS News sources, ahead of his trip, the U.S. told Ukrainian officials that the senior delegation would be traveling to Moscow and ask Kiev to suspend strikes
Starting point is 00:42:19 until the delegation's departure from Russia. It's like, let's get a little intermission on this war. I know we're doing a lot of drone-on-dron crime, but the boys are rolling through town. We're going to have a few drinks. A little vodka throw it back with the boys. And then when we leave, y'all can start fucking bombing each other again. That's not dark at all.
Starting point is 00:42:36 Anyway, recent U.S. intelligence assessment indicates Putin's risk calculus may be shifting with the Russian leader potentially increasingly willing to authorize provocative actions against NATO members, including hybrid operations and other deniable measures short of conventional military action in order to test a resolve of the alliance and the Trump administration, which is kind of in rocky waters right now, so to speak. And Donald Trump did come out and say yesterday with full assurance that he's not going to attack NATO. Putin's not going to do that. He'd seem very short. So deal with that what you will. see, Don. But the last time a CIA director had traveled to Moscow was William Burns in
Starting point is 00:43:16 2021 ahead of the war when he was, you know, was reaching a crisis point. They were trying to like allegedly, unless it's all show and tell, which that's probably what it is, trying to de-escalate the situation. So this has not happened, but it's notable that there's such a, you know, calm, seemingly regular little meeting of like the top intelligence officials in the middle of a war that they're on the opposite sides of. so strange that something like this is normalized. My hope, your hope, all of our hope is that some cooler heads are prevailing and that they're going there to actually try to talk about winding this down because it's bad for biz at this point. Unfortunately, that's probably
Starting point is 00:43:57 very optimistic thinking. Yeah. Right? You know, a few more bodies to drop, nice excuse to have, a few more weapons to fun. Lindsay Graham's not here, but we can do it in his memory. Do it in his honor. Do it in his honor. Do it in his honor. Do it in his honor. Do it in his own. Do it. Do it. honor he loved this this this was his meaning of life yeah it was his fetish some would say some would say it was his fetish it was that and trans escorts yeah he wanted to watch the boys perish that's what got him going that's what got him going died doing what he loved yeah he did die doing doing what he loved he's paying the piper now i'll tell you that all right that's a pause i'm just saying. What are you doing? What? Paying the piper. Yeah. Come on. He's down, he's down in hell.
Starting point is 00:44:46 Just paying it told Lucifer. I think he might like that. Paying the piper? Yeah, I don't know, dude. He was, you just get a lot of pipes. Yeah, but now down there, it's like an eternal pipe. The eternal pipe, it's very hot. It just, yeah, it's torturous. It's torturous. You're not supposed to enjoy it. If you enjoy it, I think even Lucifer's like, Jesus, what the fuck am I going to do with this guy? He's like, what am I going to do with this guy? He's like, what am I going to do with him? He's like, I think we should just send him to purgatory. I think that's the worst place for this guy because he'll just float around. They float around. He'll just be floating and thinking about it. You just got to think about it. Yeah. There's nothing to do.
Starting point is 00:45:24 Yeah. That might be where Lindsey Graham is. Honestly, dude. Yeah. He's in purgatory. The hell's like, yo. Yeah, they're like, sorry, fam. He likes us too much. Like this guy. Too much. He's too excited to be here. Too much. It was. It was. It was not immediately clear if the CIA had any role in another exchange that a Russian official said took place on Wednesday. Reuters quoted Russian human rights commissioner. That's a job. Russia has a human rights commissioner. Wow.
Starting point is 00:45:52 Yana Latratova as saying 10 prisoners of war from each side were exchanged during a holdover in Belarus, which would be a relatively low number compared to previous swaps. Imagine that. like, what do you do? You put on LinkedIn. Congratulations. You're the new human rights commissioner of Russia. So is it like, well, yesterday we did not electrocute the balls.
Starting point is 00:46:18 We simply dip in ice for long periods. It's better that way. Yeah. Like, that's the job. The job is like, no, don't worry about it. And then they're like, how do we celebrate the CIA director coming to town? I think we should do a quick swap. Quick swap.
Starting point is 00:46:33 Ten for ten. Ten for ten. leave him with a mark on the way out. Yeah. You know? A little branding to remember their time by. Life is crazy. Life is crazy.
Starting point is 00:46:44 But Trump said this was, quote, a semi-routine trip. Mm-hmm. Whenever you have to put the word semi-in-front of it, it's already a big hedge. That's a big tell-tale sign. It's also a lie. There's nothing routine about this. This has not happened. Like we said, this is a big telltale sign.
Starting point is 00:47:05 not happened since before the war. It's still a war that's being actively funded and it's happening at a time where the Ukrainians did try to escalate this and tie it to the Iran war. Yeah, I think calling it a routine is actually a terrible look for them with all the Russia talk over the years. Oh, so this is routine for you. Yeah. You guys are over there often. Yeah, what did we, what did you just pull up, Joey Deef? This was just Mario's roundup. Oh, Mario Nile Falls roundup of it. Is there anything we didn't cover in there? No, it looks, um, yeah, it looks like, yeah, it looks like, like that was everything we covered. Okay.
Starting point is 00:47:38 All right. Well, I think what they're going to have to do, this is potentially some extra press that he wasn't looking for. This was a real sleek 10,000 mile flight into Russia. You're just trying to slide this one in there. And the Harlem Globetrotter, $75,000. Oh, and the Harlem Globetrotter, 75,000.
Starting point is 00:47:56 Very, very important jet. That's definitely what it's called. But, like, you know, then the Russians, if you notice, they're the ones who were coming out, like, yes, we can confirm this. Yes, this happened. Yes, he was here. Yeah, they liked that.
Starting point is 00:48:05 Whereas the U.S. was like, fuck, I'm trying to do this under the fucking table, I thought. I thought Russians were the ones that said, don't talk or you die. Like, what the fuck are we doing? Russia was the three. They brought home from the bar. They're like, why are you going to murmuring? Yeah, you don't have to talk about this.
Starting point is 00:48:19 Between you and me. You were as seven by the time I was looking at you. Yeah, this is our thing. Don't tell everyone about it. Don't tell them about this. But then Russia went and told everyone about it. So I think is a good, like, you know, we're the optics experts apparently here, Joey, D. For good optics, they should go look to try to finish the job on these fishing boats that apparently they couldn't finish the first time around.
Starting point is 00:48:42 Nothing like a good drone strike in the Galapagos to get people's minds off the war in Russia and the CIA director meeting with the counterintelligence officials on the other side. Yeah, even just seeing the picture of the headline, it's like not someone from the Middle East or Eastern Europe and it already throws you off. It throws you off. You're like, where is this? You're like, wait, we're doing stuff here too. Has anyone talked to Eric Prince in the last 12 months? Do we know? He's working. Do we?
Starting point is 00:49:08 He's working. He's working. Yeah, there weren't. I could say this after the fact because when Eric Prince was here for episode 305, we recorded that May 2025. Very interesting guy. But like three days afterwards, like when we were putting out the episode, the New York Times reported that Eric Prince had been commissioned to like bomb all these trap houses in Haiti. on behalf of the U.S. government. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:35 But we got off, that wasn't public when I recorded with him. And we got off camera. We went over to take a picture and he's like, I want to see something cool. I was like, sure. Like Alessi, that was like right at the end of the time when Alessi was on the board.
Starting point is 00:49:49 I was like, yeah, and Alessi's like, oh God. And he takes out the phone and it's just like a, it's a security camera like eyes in the sky drone footage. And you just see like some moving heat signatures and like this house and nothing's happening for like 15 seconds. And I'm like, what am I looking at?
Starting point is 00:50:07 He's like, just give it a minute. And then you just see like, doosh, heat map die, heat map go this way. And he goes, it's a Haitian trap house. Fucking awesome. I was like, oh. That's great, Mr. Prince. That's very cool. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:26 I hope they were really bad. I hope all of them were bad because. I'm sure they were. I don't know if we could run that back. I was like, yeah, I think I got to sweep this place at this point. Very interesting guy, though. So I guess in Tim Dillon's parlance, you could say Eric Prince's friend of the show. Well, I was going to say in his parlance, too, or I think Putin says this, a job is a job.
Starting point is 00:50:49 A job's a job, I guess. You wish them well. Yeah. You wish the people, the heat signatures there well. Yeah, don't, not planning a trip to hear you any time. I don't think I'm going down there. Yeah, I've heard enough about, I mean, we had Arab been here talking about being kidnapped in Haiti, Hays, you know. I mean, shout out to my Haitians, you know.
Starting point is 00:51:09 Shout out to, I love the Haitians. Yeah. Yeah, the Haitians are great. All the Haitians I know are great. It's just, you know, tough time down there. Yeah. For sure. A lot of things going on.
Starting point is 00:51:19 Send them strength. Yeah, the Clinton Foundation's been down there a bunch. That's never a good look. Get on. I'm sure they're down there for humanitarian purposes, Joey Deef. That's what the lawyers would want us to say, right? I just imagine Hillary Clinton coming out and doing like a dance with all the... We're going to feed them to the shark!
Starting point is 00:51:38 Yeah, all the village kids gathering as they all dance with her. Yes. That's probably how it looks, right? Is she doing the little snaps up high? Yeah, yeah, and there's like lots of jazz hands. Lots of, oh yeah, yeah, give them a little swing. And they're all wearing little USAID T-shirts, and they're all like, they're like, can we get... Three of them are trans.
Starting point is 00:52:02 And they're just like, listen, one more hour and then you get lunch. One more hour. A few more shots. You get lunch and a few more shots. What a dark life. That's terrible. Can we pull up this article? Because this was, they missed.
Starting point is 00:52:15 That's why this can't be Eric Prince, because they missed. Some of these motherfuckers lived. I have it already archived that I asked right there. I have the link. Like Eric Prince, say what you want. Dude, don't miss a lot. Right? Sometimes, I guess.
Starting point is 00:52:32 When he takes a shot, he hits. Oh, no. Yeah. Coverts is from Washington Post. Covert's CIA programs said to be behind mysterious attacks on Galapagos' boats. They're going right for Darwin. Wait, this is what I said I did earlier at the beginning of the episode when you're like, Oh, I didn't do this.
Starting point is 00:52:50 This wasn't. Oh, you're denying it. No, I'm denying it, dude. You wouldn't want to hit the Galapagos. No. Do you even know who they hit Joey Dief? Don't deny it before you find out who. they were targeting.
Starting point is 00:53:02 Yeah, well. I'm gonna find out with you. Let's go down. Do some biz with them, maybe. Let's see. Definitely some biz. So the mysterious strikes targeting multiple Ecuadorian fishing boats
Starting point is 00:53:10 near the Galapagos Islands this year were carried out as a part of a covert CIA program. Is there any other kind? Is there a CIA program that's like not covert? Public. Yeah, like a public CIA fucking campaign. All right. While many details about the agency's involvement
Starting point is 00:53:27 were not clear, one person would knowledge of the matter said the strikes were part of a covert action program, a type of secret operation overseas that is approved by the president, but where the role of the U.S. government is not publicly acknowledged until they tell the Washington post about it. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the subject's sensitivity.
Starting point is 00:53:44 No agency or government has claimed responsibility for the incidents, including the disappearance in January of a fishing vessel and eight of its crew members. The CIA's involvement adds a new and secretive dimension to the Trump administration's otherwise highly publicized campaign against alleged drug traffickers at sea. Let's go down, yada, yeah. They declined to comment, of course. The strikes are separate from the Pentagon's campaign against alleged shrugboats that began last fall. If you remember, in the buildup to Venezuela, there was a lot of things going on. Those strikes have been fiercely criticized by human rights groups and some democratic lawmakers who say they are extrajudicial murders. The administration has justified the strikes by equating narco-terrorists with militants assaulting the United States. Again, they use terms like that to justify it when they've called the fucking cartels in Mexico. NACCO-Narchoterrorists and terrorist organizations and they're funding them and they're inside of them and they haven't fucking bombed the shit out of that country, which I'm not asking them too well. Please don't do that. I mean, I'd say I'm very glad you haven't bombed them. But it's just interesting because they were acting like they were going to do that. The logic. The logic. It's very pick and choosy. Yes. Yes. So the eight missing Ecuadorian nationals were aboard a 52-foot long line fishing boat called the Fiorella. The men on two boats that were
Starting point is 00:54:59 Struck in March, ah, the golden rule was broken, Joey Deef. You can't leave witnesses. The Negra Francisco Duarte 2 and the Don Maka all survived. Oof. And you know what they did, Joey Deef? They chirped. They went to the Washington Post. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:18 In interviews with the Post, survivors said the small quadcopter drones either dropped munitions on the vessels or detonated by crashing into them. full-blown kamikaze drones. Wow. The men said they were taken aboard a nearby ship, hooded and cuffed by armed men. You mean they captured them and then let them go and talk to the post? And transported to El Salvador only to be returned. They went to the fucking guy's, that crazy prison in El Salvador probably, or were supposed to go there.
Starting point is 00:55:52 But they were only to be returned later without explanation to Ecuador. Somebody fucked up the paperwork. Someone got real chewed out for that at Langley. They're like, even at Langley, they're like, yo, you kidnapped a fucking priest or something. Like they did these, something happened. And they're like, what, I should just kill them? And they're like, no, damn. No, you can't kill them now.
Starting point is 00:56:13 You had to kill them on the boat. That's what the drones were for. All right. Well, we could do this GPS. We take them out back. Shoot them. No one will ever know. And they're like, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:56:23 No, let them go. Someone already chirped. In each of the incidents, a high-end, business. jet equipped with specialized surveillance technology, flew from El Salvador in the direction of the fishing vessels on the days of the strikes and in the days prior, according to flight and ship tracking data. Details about the plane and the pattern of its flights before the incident suggest it may be linked to a secret CIA program. Can we read that? I want to read that quote again. Go out real quick. Starting point is 00:57:18 Visit oikos.Ca for more details. A high-end business jet. A biz jet. A biz jet equipped with specialized surveillance technology. What's a business that has... Pallentier? Yeah. You see what I'm... You're picking up what I'm... A palantier plane, a peepee. A little peepee. A little peepee flying around El Salvador. What do you know?
Starting point is 00:57:47 You gotta hit him. You gotta... It's actually the largest peepee we've ever seen. It's actually a huge peepee. A huge pip. That's the only thing we do here. So what does this map look like, Joey did? See, it's like... Last recorded boat locations and surveillance plane pass. Oh, they're out there. Yeah, they're out there.
Starting point is 00:58:08 They're headed for fucking Japan. They're doing something. Yeah, they're doing. And the surveillance planes all coming from El Salvador. That's an interesting relationship we got there. Mm-hmm. Right? He's like the cool dictator.
Starting point is 00:58:21 Powered by Bitcoin. What's that guy's name again? Fucking, I always forget it. Mr. El Salvador. Yeah, the Mr. Buckelly. Naeep Buckelly. He's a dictator. But he's like the cool dictator.
Starting point is 00:58:33 It's not my words. That's just what people say. But he like, you know, sees power of Congress like right when he got in there. But he's like, but we're going to do Bitcoin. Yeah. All right. No, he's based. He's based.
Starting point is 00:58:43 He's based. He's based. He's cleaned up crime. He suspended some civil liberties. But, you know, you gotta crack a few eggs to make an album. Bitcoin's legal tender. Bitcoin's legal. Crime is down.
Starting point is 00:58:56 People are locked up. Nothing to see. It's a few human rights violations, right? It's like it's the old pendulum. Joey Deef, every action, there's an equal but opposite reaction. And when that shit gets violent
Starting point is 00:59:09 in those actions and reactions, shit gets a little out of whack to create equilibrium. Yeah. And that's kind of... That's physics. Where it is there. I'm glad their streets are safer.
Starting point is 00:59:18 I'll give them that. You gotta give them that. I'm just saying, you know... Well, I got no love for the MS-13 guys, to be clear. But like, maybe don't create a dystopian fucking Orwellian prison. Just saying.
Starting point is 00:59:31 I'm not saying prison should be a Marriott. I'm not like that. But you got to be reasonable. Geneva Conventions, you know? Society only functions with a benevolent image.
Starting point is 00:59:44 Who said that? Slavo Zizik. He was talking about the Dark Night and like the Joker and Batman. Did he really say that? Yeah. And he pretty, he was saying like
Starting point is 00:59:58 that movie is pretty much showing how like society needs a benevolent image to function. And Nolan was cooking in that trilogy. That was a, he's another guy. He saw a head. Well, I was going to say it before. Kubrick is like a more brilliant version of that. Like he's not,
Starting point is 01:00:15 I don't think he's as brilliant as Kubrick. I agree. He's more like, like Kubrick gets something like deep in the roots of like you're thinking about shit like that. I don't think Nolan gets that as much. He gets it. He gets it.
Starting point is 01:00:29 He's, he's, he's, he's up there yeah sure like he's tapped into something but that that trilogy of a literal like superhero story yeah like this fictionalized outlandish kind of thing said so much about society to come that perhaps the more i think about it movies came out 05 08 2012 so they're filmed in like 0407 2011 yeah i think about this a lot as to whether or not he was already showing us a mirror of what already existed and we just didn't notice it yet or if he was just a little ahead of the curve and saw what was about to exist. I'm torn between. I think the former. Yeah. I think you might be right. Yeah. I think you might be right, but I'm torn between the two.
Starting point is 01:01:15 So I think about that a lot. But we got to talk about the hack that you were that I conducted with China. Yeah. Oh, so you're admitting it. You're admitting that you conducted this hack of the DOJ. Oh, I'm admitting is. Trader among us. Oh, I'm admitting is the obvious. that I am Chinese. He calls Professor Jang a CCP agent and it's pure projection. I don't actually.
Starting point is 01:01:39 You've called him that many times. I think he's... Don't lie like a mattress. I think he's clean cut, man. Okay. But this is the CCP agent. So I got to take a leak real quick and then we'll come back and talk about it.
Starting point is 01:01:51 We'll be right back. All right, we're back. So thieves already got it up. This is from USA Today. today, U.S. says Chinese hackers broke into the DOJ, NASA, Federal Reserve, and Senate. That's a
Starting point is 01:02:06 fucking mother load right there. Like, whoever did that on your end, like, they got a race. Yeah. They got a raise for sure. Yeah, they were cooking. Did you get like a company email from Xi Jinping? Like, yo, nice work, fam. He's like, boys, we did it. We did it. We're in.
Starting point is 01:02:20 They hacked into NASA. I wonder if they got the moon files on that. Justice Department said August 26th, that is disrupted. Well, now it's disrupted. A Chinese hacking operation that it believes is responsible for cyber break-ins of the DOJ as well as NASA, the Federal Reserve, the Senate, and other sensitive U.S. government agencies. But wait, there's more. In a statement, the Justice Department announced that it sees internet domains used by two hacking platforms dubbed Q-Scan and QT router, which had said were used in the penetration campaign.
Starting point is 01:02:51 Pause. As described in court documents unsealed in the Southern District of California, a People's Republic of China state-sponsored group known as QT-Fi, employed by China-based Nanjing-Zin-Way network technology company, created, don't nod your head along like you like this. No, your pronunciation was very good. That's why I nodded. Created and operate.
Starting point is 01:03:12 It's not Mom Donnie level, though. I got to say that. That was not the first time he spoke Chinese. Yeah, no, he's definitely spoken that shit before. It was nice. He did cook on the accent. That's kind of an interesting word to cook on. created and operated by the two hacking platforms.
Starting point is 01:03:29 Among the victims of QTFI's computer intrusion activity, we already listed those out, but it was also the Department of Energy, Department of Health and Human Services. Oh, they hit RFK too. National Institutes of Health and the U.S. Senate. USA Today is reaching out to the Chinese embassy in Washington for comment, which I'm sure they'll give.
Starting point is 01:03:46 In the past, the Beijing government has denied responsibility for any U.S. directed hacking activity. Quote, state-sponsored malicious hackers preying on America's critical infrastructure will be stopped and prosecuted. We are here to ensure security for the American people
Starting point is 01:03:59 and we'll use every tool we have to keep that promise. Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a statement, not exactly a sign of confidence that it already fucking happened. Sounded pretty prototypical that statement. Sounds like a lawyer wrote that one. FBI director, Cash Patel is on the case
Starting point is 01:04:14 and said the Bureau played a key role in the disruption of, can you scroll down, Android, of a global blotnet and hacking platform used by Chinese state-sponsored hackers to target, U.S. critical infrastructure.
Starting point is 01:04:27 In support of President Donald Trump's cyber strategy for America, which doesn't seem to be working out very well, Patel said the FBI is surging efforts to shape adversary behavior and defend the homeland in cyberspace. Yeah, cash, money. Part of great defense is preventing, you know, the goals before they happen, not after you're already down six to nothing. Imagine what it must be like working in the Chinese embassy too in Washington.
Starting point is 01:04:52 You're like, fuck, dude. Imagine. I feel like you've been there. You just got to like, they're walking in. Like, you guys do this shit? And you got to be like, oh, no. What do you mean? No.
Starting point is 01:05:02 No. No. That wasn't us. I can't. I don't speak. And they're like, fuck. Yeah, that's right. Pulling that card.
Starting point is 01:05:07 They did. I will say, though. China had a tough one this week, too, on their end. Oh, dude. We got the video right time. That shit. I don't even know if we can play this on, on YouTube, because it shows people getting hit. This was the first thing I saw when I woke up.
Starting point is 01:05:25 Yeah. this was yesterday or the day before. First thing I saw. I think this was Wednesday. So should I put it on the screen? This is, let's stick it on screen real quick before we play it. This is the border of China and Nepal. Essentially, what's been discovered now is a glacier.
Starting point is 01:05:44 A part of a glacier came loose on the mountainside. Like it gave way, which created a massive dam that basically unloaded of water. And there's nothing, this is a stark reminder that there is absolutely fucking nothing more powerful in any way, shape, or form than Mother Nature. And when it wants to fuck you, it will. And this flood was released down the mountain. It's effectively an avalanche, except it's water. So you can imagine it moves faster and is just absolutely, it just blows everything away in its sight. And so you just see all these people, they finally hear it coming, and they're running for their lives.
Starting point is 01:06:29 And I can, I'm willing to say this, all the people you see in that video are dead. It's very sad. This is an unsurvivable event. You cannot live through something like this. But let's hit play on it. And we'll kind of roll the dice here. But you see them all running and you see the water come up from behind. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:06:52 Everything, this is, everything's just gone. The whole thing. I mean, that is, that's a surge. Holy shit. What was the surge for Hurricane Katrina like 12 feet or something like that? Yeah, I don't know. That took out that whole city. That is literally.
Starting point is 01:07:07 That's some zoo shit. No, it's like, it's like, um, Poseidon shit. Like some tsunami type. Yeah, but that's what I'm saying. That's beyond a tsunami. It's still going. It was still going. Still going.
Starting point is 01:07:19 All those people are gone. That's crazy. horrible. Let's see, you hate to see something like that. It was absolutely terrible, but, you know, that's a stark reminder. Life is fucking life is fragile.
Starting point is 01:07:35 Very fragile. But we did say at the beginning we were talking about this meta lawsuit. It happened. So META has been told they got to pay out over 17.1 billion to victims in a class action lawsuit. So the landmark settlement
Starting point is 01:07:49 over media, social media addiction claims. So we've seen how social media has affected everyone down to your boomer grandparents and everything. But we have particularly seen how the youngest generations who grew up with a lot of it, which includes our generation and everything, and now the kids all coming up have been affected by what they see on the screens and some of the things that they shouldn't have to be exposed to and then also get addicted to the dopamine. mean loops that are part of the business product. Yep.
Starting point is 01:08:25 On these platforms where the product is us people. And so with kids, they are extremely malleable. And, you know, it was finally, it's been brought up many times before. There's been cases over stuff like this, but there was a massive lawsuit that has had some success. And, you know, $17.1 billion, Medda's going to survive that. That's not putting an enormous den in them. but the precedent of what it could set here, as we were saying at the beginning of the episode,
Starting point is 01:08:54 with new rules, is interesting. Because I've always cited this in different contexts on the podcast over the years since the beginning of the show, the earliest episodes. It's like, you know, I think communism's terrible. Unfortunately, when you are a totalitarian system like that, you don't have the Constitution.
Starting point is 01:09:14 You don't have rights to get around, so you can make some decisions that are good for the intellectual capital of the state sometimes. And one of the things that China has done for a long time is that TikTok
Starting point is 01:09:25 which until the Ellison's bought it was a Chinese company was brought into America and all the 12 year olds were seeing fucking titty videos all day and watching it all hours of the night
Starting point is 01:09:36 because there was no limit on it because in our open democracy you could do whatever the fuck you wanted more on that in a minute whereas in China their kids on their version of TikTok
Starting point is 01:09:46 were limited in the time they could watch it during the day It turned off at like 8 o'clock at night every night for kids. And instead of Titty videos, they were getting fucking math videos and science videos and nature videos and things that could actually stimulate learning and things that are positive for them to get interested in the kind of stuff that's going to be useful in society instead of starting to fucking OnlyFans page 10 years later or something like that. Or subscribing to one, I guess. But like now there might be some new rules. So let's go down here. This was in 47 states.
Starting point is 01:10:21 The settlement met it on Wednesday reached a landmark settlement with 47 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. territories, agreeing to pay up to $17.1 billion in penalties and make major changes to its products over claims that endangered children with addictive social media platforms. In a dramatic capitulation, the owner of Facebook and Instagram agreed to the financial penalties for violating federal child privacy
Starting point is 01:10:45 and state's consumer protection laws, the state's announced. Meta also agreed to limit how long teenagers can spend on its platform and to ban features that stoke mental health issues striking at the heart of the company's business of engagement for advertising. One quick question I'm going to have here to monitor moving forward, though, is where the line is drawn on mental health issues stuff. I'm all for that. But can that then be used as a tool to propagandize kids in the future by saying, oh, this could be mental health, so you can't see this when it's something that maybe they need to see. Right? Like, I don't know. Again, I like the sound of that, but you have to play out, like, where this could be misused now. The focus of this case was to protect our kids.
Starting point is 01:11:32 Stopping notifications and alerts at night, and when they are in school, encouraging them to take breaks from social media, protecting them against harmful features, said Colorado's Attorney General Phil Weiser in a statement. The agreement exceeded what most courts might order, he added. The settlement effectively ends a Bellwether federal trial in the U.S. U.S. Northern District of California and Oakland, where California, Colorado, Kentucky, and New Jersey were seeking roughly 200 billion over accusations that Mehta harmed children. The states filed their agreement with Mehta on Wednesday morning in that court where Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers is expected to approve it. Separately, Mehta said on Wednesday that it's settled with Texas
Starting point is 01:12:10 for almost $1 billion over similar allegations. The company still faces numerous other lawsuits. So the stock price went down. I want to get down to some of the all right so the settlement could signal an inflection point yada yada yada and a call with reporters on wednesday meta's legal team said the company negotiated the terms of its settlement to require the other companies to join setting industry standards that would not single out meta meta wants to ensure teens have a safe and productive experience on our platforms and it partnered with state attorneys generals but i love how they say that partnered with state attorneys generals to set a new industry standard partnered for a cost of $18 billion.
Starting point is 01:12:47 He implored other companies to settle. This framework will only work if all our peers join us because teens move fluidly across dozens of apps. We need an industry-wide solution. So I want to go down some more to get to some of the actual actionable items that they could have here. Keep going.
Starting point is 01:13:10 The settlement will effectively force META to make major problems. products changes for all U.S. teen users. The company agreed to interrupt endless scrolling and to impose a two-hour daily time limit on Instagram and Facebook. To avoid addictive use and sleep interruptions, the company will limit usage between midnight and 6 a.m. and silence notifications during school hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., I'm assuming this is all time zone sensitive as well. Meta will also limit features that psychologists link to negative social comparisons such as beauty filters, good. And a tallying of
Starting point is 01:13:44 the like button clicks. It will also strengthen age verification tools and parental controls. Many of the changes are similar to ones that META has made in the last year. The company has for years committed to enforcing age requirements and creating technology that figures out if teenagers are lying about their age, but as part of the settlement, META said it would invest more in that effort. The changes are significant but not totally revolutionary, said Violet Jora Laman, the Director of Life Sciences Law and Policy Center. at the Berkeley Center for Law and Technology, adding that some of the restrictions already exist in Europe. I do think that using these platforms as a miner will start to look pretty different than it did five years ago.
Starting point is 01:14:25 Mr. Joral Alman, Joralemann added, they are going to, there are going to be a lot more restrictions. So, again, I'm going to stick by what I said. I like the idea of this. You just don't want to see it translating to other things. because, like, as an example, and this is really going down the slippery slope, the EU, they just mentioned they already have rules like this. In the EU, there's all kinds of free speech issues with what goes on for adult users over there. Big time. Like, I know, like, even Elon Musk was fighting with them over things on Twitter. And, like, there's a lot of things, obviously, that are controversial about Elon Musk and things to criticize as well. But I do appreciate the fact that, like, X, Twitter, whatever you call it, is way more wide open than it used to be. And I, I have to give credit to the fact that that has also happened and dragged over to platforms like Instagram and and Facebook. Yeah. Things that would have gotten you banned over there.
Starting point is 01:15:25 Now are common parlance on those apps and some of it is very ugly. That's how it works though. That's how free speech has to work. You have to see the great and the bad and you got to let the great win over time. It's just how it is. So this is going to be interesting to track. Obviously Meadow was financially and lawsuit incentivized to really take action. Like it does seem like there was a little PR put in that article of like,
Starting point is 01:15:53 well, they were already taking a lot of actions to try to get ahead of those. Yeah, we were working on this actually. Yeah. Yeah. And like New York Times didn't seem to really fight that one and push back on that. But, you know, neither here nor there. Maybe there's a little conversation that happens behind the scene on the PR front there. It's just, it's an interesting development that should be good for our kids, but does not need to be a Pandora's box opening the door to a lot of other things that can happen, including to adults, on these apps.
Starting point is 01:16:27 I'm just, I'm always going to look at free speech first and be like, as long as that's still protected. But it's an interesting constitutional question that I am not qualified to do more than speculate on, because I am not an attorney by. any stretch of the word there. It's an interesting constitutional question when you talk about the rights of a minor. Right now, for a limited time, everyone's part of the Buick team, even you. Starting point is 01:17:13 Visit buick.ca for more details. Right. Like they live in the country. They're born in the country. They live under the same constitution. But do parental guidelines, are they able to limit maybe the broad scope of constitutional rights? Like, for example, a kid can't own a gun. They should.
Starting point is 01:17:35 Like that one, so I know that one. So that one's easy. but like when it gets to speech how is that policed which is a very dangerous word we should make child politicians to handle children's rights
Starting point is 01:17:49 yeah yeah make some child politicians for every position in U.S. government there's a junior position and it's a child it's a kid yeah that would be funny as fuck that would be funny as fuck I kind of need that for the comedy that would be really funny
Starting point is 01:18:04 yeah yeah but I don't know maybe some of my lawyer listeners and viewers out there can chime in in the comments about the constitutionality of being a minor and how that how it could be constitutional with things like speech or access to things being limited because this sounds really positive to me like there's a lot here that sounds very positive that i'm like pumped about i just want to make sure it's not opening the door to bigger problems yeah i'm going to get conspiratorial for a second. But like, you know, when Faust was in here and we were talking about
Starting point is 01:18:44 the AT&T bill in the 90s. Yeah. I just wonder if like, and for people who don't remember or don't know, it was like the pretty much monopolized phone use and sort of the internet as it was just kind of taking off. Does that sound about right? Am I kind of blowing that? Okay. But I just, like something like this, I wonder if we'll come back to in like five years from now or even like a couple of years from now and being like, dude, fucking remember this. And they said it was for the fucking kids. And it was to help them and protect them. And now, you know, I like to tweet about this and I'm in trouble just for liking a tweet.
Starting point is 01:19:22 I don't know. That's why. And I hope this isn't the case. Yeah, maybe, me either. But I hope we are not rolling the tape of us talking about this on August 28th, 2026 in five years where they're like, damn, those motherfuckers knew. Because that means it was a bad outcome. Yeah. Like, I hope we're rolling.
Starting point is 01:19:39 it back and going, good on us to make sure, but it all worked out. Yeah, because it's like as we get ready for like a three front war and we all it's like, oh, look it, they're taking all the preliminary actions to really silence dissemination when the time comes. That's right. I don't know. Surveillance state. Yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:19:58 You didn't even try the transition there, but you got to transition. That's it. Because I'm, because I'm trained. You thought we were going to forget about you, fam? Come on. Come on, my kid. I would never forget about you. Garrett Langley. Now, I do want to say this. To the people who were doxing this guy online,
Starting point is 01:20:20 I'm never going to condone that. Okay, hear me out here. That's, you're given someone like Garrett Langley, the CEO of Flock, exactly what he wants. You're giving him chaos in the masses, where now the docs in his address and stuff like that and putting it out there and, you know, potentially causing bigger problems there. And I never want to do that. It is very easy to beat a weak, effeminate, power-hungry, wasn't bullied enough, clearly, guy behind a keyboard who's taken advantage of all of us right now is way easier to beat a guy like this on the facts. And that's where we got to keep it. Now, that said, since the doxing has already happened, again, don't condone it, I do hope.
Starting point is 01:21:09 I do hope. And I don't have high hopes for this. hope I hope that this can be a learning moment for Garrett to see who I used to call Craig or Greg because I thought that was his name but it's Garrett I actually call him I hope that this can be a learning moment for him to see what it feels like to get have the shoe on the other foot and to see what it's like when your privacy is invaded without your consent and to see what it's like when you You know, to quote Garrett, Americans got to compromise a little bit on this privacy and safety thing, which he said completely unironically, even though it's one of the most ironic quotes ever said, or I should say in recent memory, that's been said given the history of our country and guys like Ben Franklin, who quite literally warned about people like Garrett Langley and what they're trying to do.
Starting point is 01:22:04 But I hope Garrett, who probably will never appear on this show, even though we've talked about that publicly now a few times, I hope you will use this. as a learning moment to see what it feels like, you know? Kind of like, remember that old show undercover CEO, where the CEO would go undercover and have to see what it's like in the rank and file, and they'd be like, God damn, fam, I didn't know how I was doing this, these motherfuckuscious. Right? And then they'd be like, wow, all right, I'm going to think about this differently. This is your undercover CEO moment, you know?
Starting point is 01:22:32 And again, I don't want to see people ever, ever docs anyone, no matter how badly you dislike them and everything. You know, we've taken precautions on that in the past. Like even when we talked about Howard Lutnik, obviously his place is full-blown public knowledge where he lives and all that. But we were even careful with that as much as we don't like him. You know, we shouldn't do this. But I do want to run that. See where it says Rand Paul right there?
Starting point is 01:23:02 So let's click that tweet because this week, Garrett Langley went viral again for some softball fucking interview on Fox News. because that's where he's going he's going to friendly places where he's got to answer a few fucking probably pre-prepared questions for five minutes that he somehow
Starting point is 01:23:19 still manages to fucking strike out on and you know try to do a little PR press here with all whatever little might he has
Starting point is 01:23:28 but let's play this clip first and then I'll get to the context of the tweet right here can we make a full screen deep yeah
Starting point is 01:23:34 thank you all right so this was on Fox News I value my privacy he values it privacy, my employees value their privacy. But what we're talking about is safety as well. And so I think when people talk about just one of these, privacy or safety,
Starting point is 01:23:50 they're prioritizing the wrong thing. What we have to prioritize as a country is compromise. How do we have our safety and how do we balance privacy? And so when I think about legislation that calls for not like ban, that's like banning vehicles. That would never have made sense. Instead, what we did is we introduced laws against trunk driving. We introduced laws around seatbelts, laws around airbags.
Starting point is 01:24:11 Those weren't invading your privacy, Garrett Langley. Those were simple, like, rules of the road. You know, like you drive drunk, you get arrested. It's pretty simple. You know what I mean? You can't operate a vehicle well at that at a blood alcohol level like that. You know, you don't wear a seatbelt. You get ejected from a car even during a routine collision and you die.
Starting point is 01:24:38 It is there for your own safety without invading your. fucking privacy. Now let's go to the tweet you had, Joey Deef. So this video went very viral. And Rand Paul, Senator Rand Paul from Kentucky, among many other people, had something to say about. He said, Flock CEO at G. Langley wants you to quote, compromise, unquote, away your Fourth Amendment rights. Our founding fathers are rolling in their graves at this suggestion. And this unselfaware moron, Garrett Langley actually slid in on the replies here and said, Senator, That was not my comment. We believe in the constitutionate flock.
Starting point is 01:25:16 I hope you can agree that Americans deserve to be safe. Oh, I hate that. There's literally a video of him saying that bar for bar, word for word, that was quite literally your comment, Garrett. You are that stupid that you come in and respond and try to try to because it didn't have. Look at the ratio here, Joe, Dief. It had no effect on people. Like in the way you intended it, Garrett. Like, you try to get people to actually believe that what they saw and what they heard was not what they saw and what they heard,
Starting point is 01:25:52 which they can press play on above there in full 32 second context to see that that's exactly what you said. And then he follows it up with a line that says, I hope you can agree that Americans can deserve to be safe to get exactly back to the talking point he had at the beginning, which was to compromise. privacy for safety. I just can't believe how fucking retarded this guy is. Like, listen, I knew he was a weak guy.
Starting point is 01:26:20 But it's not even from a PR perspective. I think he genuinely is just not the brightest bolt. Like, go away. Don't talk. The best PR for you right now, Garrett, is to go the fuck away. It won't work. I mean, trust me.
Starting point is 01:26:35 Like, guys like Ben Jordan are still going to be coming after you. But like, It just blew my mind. And the way, you know, the fucking AirPods in the ears, the weak voice, the effeminate delivery, asking questions at the end of a fucking statement. You know, who the fuck are you, pal? Who the fuck are you? You got anything, Joey Diff? No, I checked his Twitter to see how many followers that he had, but he has more than me.
Starting point is 01:27:10 I was going to shit on him. Not for long. Follow at Tocke Malone. He doesn't have any fucking motion. guy. That's right. He's got no motion. Follow at Toc Malone, Joey Deef. Yeah, help me get more followers than Garrett so I could start ratio in his ass. That's right. Joey Defe's got no chill on Twitter. He's a low-key, like very good, dark Twitter follow. Yeah. So, I'm a good, I'm a good tweeter. He's a good, he's a good tweeter. But this has gotten so crazy that even Ron DeSantis in Florida
Starting point is 01:27:38 is like this is out of control. He came out this week and was like, yo, if I'm, what are there, over 10,000 fly cameras now? In Florida. I had to tell Danny Jones about that the other day. He called me. Before he came here, he called me because he was listening to the podcast we did last week. He's like, wait, this shit's in Florida. I'm like, Danny Jones, look around. And actually, shout out to Alamon.
Starting point is 01:27:59 He's been on, he's like the original guy who's been with me forever who handles the content on the second and third channels. I talk about him all the time. He has his own channel, Lesi Alamom, where he does a lot of cool documentaries. But he was on to this because he lives down in Florida now. and he put all this out publicly where he went to the city council meeting in Ocala, because in Ocala, Florida, a lot of flat cameras were popping up, and there was this big argument over it and laid out the facts beautifully to the council right there
Starting point is 01:28:30 and was actually pulled aside by, I think, the sheriff afterwards. It was like trying to shill the cameras, and unless he's like the Swedish guy ever, but he told the guy, I think it was the sheriff. It was that or the deputy sheriff. he told the guy's like look dude if you can't see the irony of what you're saying here you know you're here to uphold the law which includes the constitution of the united states i'm glad that like you're happy that you're catching some more bad guys with these cameras but at what cost like that's not the country we live in and i'd said it last week i had some nice conversations
Starting point is 01:29:08 with some different law enforcement guys over the past couple weeks who have reached out. And I, that's the one thing that's like a little frustrating. I don't think any, the people I've talked to haven't talked to me in bad faith about it, which I appreciate, right? It hasn't been like nasty like, fuck you. You have no idea what you're talking about. I appreciate that because I'll give it right back to you if you fucking talk to me like that about this, but especially from a position of power like that in law enforcement. The guys I've talked to have been all cool. But they, they haven't, for the most part, in my conversations, seen the irony and the wrong kind of irony in their claims and I really am trying to lay it out for them because I want them to be able to do their jobs
Starting point is 01:29:46 well, just not at the cost of our constitutional rights. That's how this country is supposed to work. So Ben Jordan, who does amazing work on this stuff and we've been trying to get a podcast together with him. He's a really on the ground, busy guy. He made a great documentary with my friend Tommy G on this whole thing that really blew the whole thing open. You know, Ben's been talking about this a while And then, you know, Tommy looked at the work and was like, this guy's amazing. And then brought him in on the documentary and the rest was history right there. But Ben, I think I put that video there, Dief, right? The investor meeting one.
Starting point is 01:30:23 Let's see here. Ben decided that he would attend a flock investor meeting. Because, you know, if you, if it's publicly available, if you'd be able to do that, you should be able to do that, especially on your own dime. So we'll play this video real quick. he let's just say that Ben was disinvited from this event after paying for the hotel and travel out of the goodness of his heart
Starting point is 01:30:48 he just wanted to hear what they had to say and Flag didn't like that too much you know they're very private about these meetings and who can get there which is quite ironic but Ben did not let his travels go to waste in any way let's let's cue this real quick this was awesome I was excited to go to Flock's big police convention, Flock Forward.
Starting point is 01:31:10 I bought a $350 ticket and booked a hotel room at the Hilton in Atlanta. But then Flock said, no journalists allowed, which is really kind of weird, considering that your tax dollars are usually paying for the tickets your public servants buy. Then a Flock employee contacted the hotel on my behalf and canceled my room without notifying me. So I couldn't even be in the building. Well, I received an email from a Shannon Jones. Shannon Jones, shout out Shannon. Flock could keep our bodies out of the convention, but they couldn't block our electromagnetic frequencies.
Starting point is 01:31:41 We captured packets from every single Wi-Fi channel we could find, using dozens of Wi-Fi adapters and monitor mode. This is awesome. Then we used a 2.4 gigahertz parabolic dish antenna to passively capture the Bluetooth information of just about everyone. Perfectly legal. Then we used a log periodic dipole array and multiple SDRs to demodulate the wireless microphones used in their stage and camera production.
Starting point is 01:32:04 Yes. Pilly Gooses even forgot to turn the microphones off when they weren't presenting or recording. So we captured some of their mingling. Then I flew my drone with a zoom lens over the convention as it was letting out. Cool. Looks like lots of police and politicians got tons of free swag. Do you recognize these attendees? If not, that's okay.
Starting point is 01:32:25 We can just use facial recognition. Oh, my God. I can't believe I was only a drone by the way from Minnesota Senator Julian Oortman. This little drone flight allowed us to find out that Senator Ortman is a managing partner of Public Safety Strategies Group, which is led by Rich Stannick, the former sheriff of Hennepin County covering Minneapolis. And guess what? Flock pays them as consultants to find confidential leads to new police contracts around the country. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
Starting point is 01:32:55 So thank you, Flock, for banning journalists from your dumb-ass convention. We had more fun out here and learned a whole lot more. Stay tuned. Everyone go follow Ben Jordan on YouTube if you are not already. His amazing work, amazing work on the flock thing. And Tommy G. He'll tell you that even stronger because he got to see it up close. But that is so fucking over the top and amazing.
Starting point is 01:33:23 And again, when you can turn their own tools and their own ideologies against them and prove how much they don't like it, which Tommy G also did. the documentary they did they didn't like when he was recording them there's nothing you can't beat that argument once that happens you cannot beat that but what's even worse is that somehow the dark money the dark money dark dark dark money behind flock according to joey d'if is is a little deeper tied peter teal it is than we thought so joey d if i'm i'm looking at your research right in front of me where you have all the series rounds and amounts that were raised throughout flocks history, which dates all the way back to 2017.
Starting point is 01:34:09 But they just, in March 2025 before, right when they were ramping up, all the cameras going across the country when the Trump administration came in, they had a series F for $275 million at a valuation of $7.5 Billy. 7.5 Billy. Yep. Valuation. This was led by Andreessen Horowitz, which, you know, everyone knows Mark Andreessen at this point. He's all over the place.
Starting point is 01:34:34 And Mark has never, as far as I can tell, been like partners with Peter Thiel or anything like that, but they are longtime friends and invest on a lot of things together. And Mark talks about how he constantly, I think he's talked before, about how he constantly has like the voice of Peter Thiel on his shoulder, which isn't weird at all, you know, to conduct out whatever he's thinking about and try to hash it out because Peter Thiel's so smart, which actually never underestimate your enemy. Peter Thiel is a very smart guy.
Starting point is 01:35:02 It's a very evil guy. but in my opinion, perspective, but very, very smart guy. But when Joey Deef took a look at all the companies that were here, there were a few other ties. So among the companies, the lead backing of this $275 million raise were Green Oaks, Bedrock, Meritech, Matrix Partners,
Starting point is 01:35:20 Sands Capital, Founders Fund, which is Peter Thiel's company right there. So boom. Kleiner Perkins, Tiger Global, and Y Combinator. And so Y Combinator, which also is in the middle of a second little controversy this week that I won't get into right now.
Starting point is 01:35:34 Maybe we'll talk about that in a future episode. Why Combinator is run by Gary Tan, who was an early employee at where Joey Deef? Palantir. That's correct. So good friend, long-time early employee of Peter Thiel's CIA-backed Palantir, which was literally backed by any detail. And the founder of Bedrock, one of the other companies in there, is also a long-time Peel associate named Jeff Lewis. And it's like, I know it's a little club and a lot of these guys know each other and there's a lot of incestuous nature to it. But it's not helping the optics when you continue to see some of the people running these companies, the people who founded these companies.
Starting point is 01:36:14 The fact that Peter Thiel himself is in these things and in these companies and they're pumping so much money into this guy, Garrett Langley, who had had a failed app in the past and then somehow got like a $200 million sellout in his second app. that I don't even know what the fuck it does. And then is suddenly like the golden boy of the federal government to be able to go get these flat cameras everywhere backed by all the Silicon Valley Titans. It's weird. Yeah. It's weird. He's not exactly charismatic. Doesn't seem like a real fucking innovator when you look at it.
Starting point is 01:36:43 He's got a camera company. You know, how innovative we're talking right here. So Joey Deave, I'm seeing. There's some more research we're going to have to get to next week. Oh, yeah. On some of the other companies as well. because like I've said, I know like James Lee has talked about this as well online. Like there are other companies here that want to see flock fall from the skies.
Starting point is 01:37:05 They want to see this flock of birds fall from the skies because they're just going to come right in and do the same thing and act like they're the good guy. And I suspect they're not. But, you know, that's a final note of Peter Thiel this week. I don't know if you saw this Joey Deave. It seems to be roughly confirmed, like not all the way across the finish line, but pretty much confirm what was a suspicious. suspicion, which is that Peter Thiel may have... I actually thought for a second you were going to say that like he's getting married or something. I'm not even lying.
Starting point is 01:37:38 He already married, Joe. Oh, good for him. I'm sure it's a... For people, I wish... The thing I was going to say is that Peter Thiel probably has some money behind clavicular. Oh, yeah, I've been seeing that. Yeah. So, do with that what you will.
Starting point is 01:37:55 Someone who's making people hate themselves and doing all this weird shit. shit to looks max and try to ruin a younger generation clearly has some mental issues and stuff like that being funded by peter teal that's not weird at all but i wish all of you could have been in the steakhouse with us after we were recorded with lee cron there will be another lee cronin episode coming in in a couple weeks had a good time with him the british scientist and chemist who was on my show back in episode 289. Really enjoyed Lee, fun guy. But I wish you could have been there at the table when Joey Deif had to explain to Lee
Starting point is 01:38:38 Cronin why Peter Thiel is so shiny. I put the reaction on my Instagram story that Lee had. Basically, his head was in his steak. I'm not going to say it. Maybe in a future episode, Joey Deif will go there. You guys can try to guess. I'll give you a hint. It's not because he's a reptile.
Starting point is 01:38:56 Yeah. But the delivery. I've heard this joke about, I don't know, 12 times before when Defe goes to deliver it. Yeah. And it's, it is funny. It is, it is hilarious every single time because I know I'm going to get some crazy reaction. Yeah. From whoever you're delivered.
Starting point is 01:39:13 It's a real misdirect. It's a real misdirect. It hits you out of nowhere. Pause. You know, and I just wish you guys could have been there for that. But that all said, we got to hit the road, Joey Deef. I'm gonna get the fuck out of here. Danny Jones coming back over. Hit a little road trip for the day.
