What's up, everybody, and welcome back to another episode of the Julian Dory Podcast.
I am Julian Dory.
And I'm Joey Dief. How you done?
How you done?
Joey Diff, I hear you are back fresh off the streets of Paris.
Yes.
After throwing a bunch of Bhalel of cocktails.
I let a rip.
I met Napoleon.
That's right.
Les resistance was going on.
That's right.
That's right.
That's right.
That's right.
Did you throw, you didn't throw any historical landmarks.
No.
That's good.
No.
I wouldn't expect that from you.
Just the parliament.
Right.
So you were targeting stores, you'd say?
I mean, if they were owned by the state.
Don't say anything they could incriminate.
All right.
There is some extradition.
I can go to.
I'm innocent.
Okay.
He's innocent.
No, Joey Deef was not in Paris throwing any Molotov cocktails.
Just to be clear, that is a joke.
But very interesting little uprising going on there that had a lot of, like, other stuff
injected into what the original whole thing was supposed to be.
So we'll talk about that today because obviously you and I went to Paris last December,
had a great experience there, had a lot of thoughts on that.
But I think there are some, shall we say,
economic models around the world that are trending in similar directions when you look at not just
the economics, but the demographics behind those economics that are leading to anger and unrest.
And then things are allowed to get out of control as a result of that.
So we'll go through that.
Guys, just a quick note, we did not end up getting to the Paris story in totality today.
So if that's still a thing next week, we'll cover it then.
Just didn't want to blue balls you.
Back to the episode.
of course we got to come back to our friend leon black so marissa hanson actually shout out to marissa
hit me up on twitter and pointed me to a story i was unaware of from 2023 that reached a dead end
after the senate allegedly got interested in questioning him back then and so we'll we'll go through
that several other things on here as well just a lot going on this week so we'll get through what we
can. But I do want to say something just because I've had a million people hit me up about something
that's completely not my business. I just want to put that out there. And then we're going to move on.
I have no insight into this whole Sean Ryan, Leophiles thing going on. I don't know Leah at all.
Sean Ryan was a really good guy to me in the past. Like he was on my show three and a half years ago.
I have not spoken with him on the phone in three years. In the past, I've referred to him on
podcast as a friend. Nothing against them at all. It would be.
probably not be accurate for me to do that at this point because you really have to talk with
someone and be involved with them for them to be your friend. So I don't have any insight into what's
going on there. Obviously wish them both the best. My thought here has always been when we record an
episode, we fucking put it out. And then you don't deal with this problem. Like it's really,
really that simple. There is only one episode we've ever done that didn't go out and it was
at the guest request for something unrelated to the podcast. That's it. So, like, I just don't,
I just don't do that. And I think that's why you run into these issues to where then people have
a lot of questions like, well, why didn't you want to release it or whatever? So that's just how I do
things. How he does things is up to him. He's one of the biggest podcasts in the world. He can do
what he wants to do. But I don't know anything. I'm not talking with anyone on the team over there,
who I do know. It's not my business. So I'm going to leave it at that. And we're going to move on.
But, yeah, actually, Dief, I almost forgot to tell you.
Yeah.
There was some really big news this week that I know it's going to be a shock to you.
What?
Are you ready for this?
I hope so.
You're going to be hearing about it for the first time.
Okay.
Lindsay Graham was gay.
You're kidding.
I know.
Lindsay Graham?
I know.
I know.
I had no idea.
I mean, hey, whatever your life decisions are, we love the gays, but like Lindsay Graham.
Of course, just, I mean, when I, that's, I would look at him and I'm like, that's a fucking man.
That's a fucking man.
Like, that's Stephen Segal.
That's right.
That's right.
If you looked at his voting record, uh-huh.
He definitely wanted you to believe he was a very, very straight man.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Right?
God-fearing man.
Very God-fearing man.
Not fearing enough, clearly.
Not so much.
Do we have that video?
I put a link down there.
It's probably on like page five.
page six right there. But there is, I guess, like a documentary that I think Jank Younger was involved
with, I want to say, and like the Young Turks, which obviously Senator Lindsey Graham is now
deceased as of a few months ago. But they were reporting first person stories in this documentary
from male sex workers who had engaged in acts with Lindsey Graham while he was still with us
here on this earth, you know, to kind of put, I guess, the finishing touches on what we already
knew.
To put the nail in the coffin, some would say.
Listen, I wasn't going to go there.
That seemed a little low.
I can tell that you avoided it.
But there was also reaction, like, within the right wing, like, ah, this is the October
surprise for a dead guy.
Everyone knew this.
Well, I didn't you just say that at some point, you know what I mean?
Why didn't you embrace him while he was alive?
He could have used a little unity.
I think he was a certainly had some self-loathing going on there.
Obviously, we've seen stories leaked on this for years.
And even right after he died, there was that one trans sex worker who told a very detailed visual story and had the text receipts of a 2015 encounter.
You know, like he appeared to have this kind of thing.
The reason that this is relevant, because I don't give a shit what people do,
behind closed doors. Like, you know, go live your life or whatever. It's always a little relevant
when it's someone engaging in stuff that they directly vote against and speak out against because
it makes them a hypocrite. That's the first problem, right? That's actually the least of your
problems, though, here. The bigger problem is that especially when you are, oh, I don't know,
a Republican senator from South Carolina, the, you know, probably is a little more old school,
right? You probably don't want people know in this.
kind of thing. You don't want to be out and about and out and proud, even if it is painfully obvious,
because you've been a lifelong bachelor and never in a relationship with a woman or never seen
with a woman in any way. You know, so when that's the case and you are then doing things as
blatantly, and let's just say, trying to find the right words here, if you're doing things as blatantly,
Lindsey Graham appeared to be doing in very vulnerable positions, you leave yourself very open to something
we call blackmail, which obviously is a topic that we unfortunately always have to cover stories
on on this show because people just love getting video doing things where they love putting themselves
in positions to give videos to do things. And in some cases, as it apparently was claimed in this
documentary, Lindsay Graham was voluntarily doing the videoing. Oh, right. So,
Right. So, you know, some of these brave sex workers.
Yeah, I'd say they're brave.
Brave. That came out after he's dead to talk about this, mentioned that, you know, like one of them mentioned at one point that he was concerned that he was concerned that the video material was going to be used.
A, for Lindsey Graham's own pleasure, which he felt uncomfortable with, and B, for potentially being passed around to,
friends.
Other senators.
Other senators, perhaps, Joey D.
And you know what?
Don't forget the congressman.
Oh, yeah.
Don't forget.
There's like 430 some of those.
Oh, yeah.
Let's not forget that.
Oh, yeah.
I don't know what's going on down there in D.C., but a little weird.
Let's run the tip.
Just you guys can get a little preview that there's a couple great videos.
I do want to run for you floating around, but this video will get banned off YouTube if I do.
So you're going to have to go find those on.
But this is the first one right here.
Hey guys, if you're not following me on Spotify, please hit that follow button and leave a five-star review.
They're both a huge huge help. Thank you.
My name is Kelvin.
Hi, Kevin.
I had sex with Lindsey Graham as a minor.
As a minor, that's awesome.
And I have sex with Senator Lindsey Graham.
I am Jesse and I had sex with Lindsey Graham.
He just said, okay, I think we're done here.
We're done here.
I need you to go get dressed.
He's like the $120.
You're paying me.
is on the rafter that basically where my coat was hung.
I didn't notice it before yet when I got over there.
Suddenly it was there and I got dressed.
He's like, it's over there.
And he's referring to like a stack of cash, like on payment.
He doesn't hand it off to me.
It's just sitting on the dresser.
I guess it's paying well to be a senator.
Like, do you want to have a dream?
Do you want to do anything else?
He came out of the bathroom, put the remainder of his clothes on,
and then paid me with $200 bills and $320 bills.
$260.
And my rate was $250.
I did not have change on me for the 20, so I just kept the rest.
After I left the hotel, you know, that, like I said, the demeanor of, like, you know,
this is, like, somebody from another class.
And I was like, that accent.
And I'm in D.C.
And, you know, my brain is putting pieces together.
Yeah, I wonder what.
I'm curious of who this is. I didn't want to be recorded. I didn't want my life to be
defined by me being recorded. Oh, that's even worse. That's actually really dark. So I was afraid of
where that footage would go. I felt like the video that he was trying to take would be used for personal gratification.
Oh, that's gross. Or used for his buddies. I'm afraid that that people in power have.
have a collection of videos and I was being added to this collection.
Does that make you mad? Does that make America mad? Is that what your elected officials are
supposed to be doing? I don't think so. I agree. I think that we need to hold elected officials
to a higher standard. There you go. Unlock unlimited free grocery delivery with PC Express Pass.

Yeah, that's even where I didn't realize that from the first time around that it was,
it was the one specifically who was underage, who also might note he paid less.
And like, and now, like, I don't know anything about that guy,
but if those claims are to be believed, obviously they're his claims that he's making, you know.
Pretty crazy.
Yeah, that's also like extra dark that he'd be doing that with someone who's underage
who's clearly being taken advantage of
as an underage sex worker as well,
obviously.
And then, you know, to potentially pass it around,
it's like,
when people make claims today
that a bunch of these people
that get into these positions of power
need to have some sort of selection to the club
as having the worst kind of compromise on them,
meaning you're targeting types of individuals
who have certain dark predilections already,
when people make those arguments
and then you see things like this
with someone who was in office for fucking three decades,
you see why maybe there's a basis to those arguments.
Does that mean it's every single person?
No, it does not.
You have to bring evidence to things.
And like I would also, to be fair,
I'd like to see also some receipts.
I'm sure these guys have them.
I've not seen the full documentary.
But yeah, I mean, if you know anything,
thing about Lindsey Graham, obviously the fucking math is math in here. Like this, this makes a ton of
sense. The fact that that would be covered up so blatantly, you know, it's not surprising at all,
but it's very sad. Yeah. I like how the guy who got paid 260 hit us with the moral compass
at the end. Is this what everyone wants? Right. Is this how you want your politics? Is this what
you want them doing? I'm usually 250. He gave me 260. That's right. $10 on the taxpayer. I think we
should hold them to a higher standard. That's right. Higher standard. 600. Yes. Absolutely right. Yeah, yeah. Pretty
crazy. Absolutely right. So, Lindsey. Happy trails to Lindsay Graham. RIP. I guess we never knew you,
Lady Linz. But yeah, the reaction of that was pretty well. And I don't know, did I mention the Kushner thing out front? I don't think I did.
No, I don't think so. Okay. We're going to be talking about that in several minutes here.
there was a big story on Jared Kushner that came out I've reviewed that extensively it's from a
forthcoming book that will be out I believe on the 27th this Tuesday and it's a little different
from other stories obviously we've covered Jared Kushner extensively in here I think
Jared Kushner's as dirty as they come I think he's in all likelihood an awful awful human
being to say nothing of the fact that he clearly has no talent at anything
you know, other than being somewhat of a con man.
But I think even that is just because he's placed in those positions by nepotism.
Either way, you know, this story, when we go through the details of it,
there's some things I'm going to need to see, particularly in the bibliography of that book
and in the response of the author that I'll go through to what he has been asked to
prove about what he found. So we're going to get there in a few. But let's talk about Leon Black.
Okay. So as I said, Marissa Hansen pointed me to this 2023 story based on things that happened in the
2010s related to Epstein and Leon Black involving what's called a 1031 exchange, which is now illegal.
At the time that it occurred between Leon Black and Jeffrey Epstein, it was illegal. There's, yeah, so,
Defe has this up. A 1031, named after Section 1031, the U.S. Internal Revenue Code allows
real estate investors to sell a business or investment property and defer capital gains,
state income, net investment, and depreciation, recapture taxes by reinvesting the proceeds
into a like-kind replacement property. Let me pull that back into English for you.
If I have an investment property like, I don't know, an art piece and I sell it for $10 to someone
else. They give me the 10 bucks. And immediately, and like right then, in the same tax year,
I turn around and take that 10 bucks and add five to it, or just the regular 10 and buy another
piece of art. If on the initial transaction of $10, I made $9, meaning I'd initially
bought it for a dollar and then later sold it for $10, that $9 of taxable gain is now not
taxable because I immediately reuse the money and put it in.
into another piece.
The art industry, as an aside note here, is one of the most fascinating black holes to me.
And it's something that I don't, I still to this day don't know much about.
It is so confusing.
And in some cases, seems very, very dark.
But it is one of the ultimate money laundering operations on the face of this planet.
And there are, I forget what they're called, but there are places like, like, like,
Like the auction houses?
Yeah, but...
Like auction houses?
Exactly.
Deves pointing out the auction houses, which are their own kind of black hole in certain ways.
Very relevant.
But there's even these places, I forget what they call them, called like transit centers or something.
They're not called that, but that's essentially like kind of describing what they are.
They're basically like, think of storage units for really, really rich people to temporarily hold stuff that can't be seen.
so can't be accounted for and audited by any governments anywhere.
So if I'm a resident of the United States and I'm trying to do some sort of weird money laundering
transaction that involves some potential less than legal type things, I may fly over to Europe
to sell an art asset that no one knows where it is because I haven't told it.
It's not like on a money ledger at a bank or something like that.
I haven't told people where it is.
And when I agree to this fucking deal in, I don't know, a restaurant,
in Paris, I may say to the buyer like, yeah, I got a transit station in fucking Switzerland or
in Monaco or something like that. And it's this highly securitized giant storage unit type
place, but again, like with bazookas and James Bond type shit, where somewhere in there,
this piece of art is being held temporarily so that where the transaction actually switches
and takes place, it can't be tracked like in what country?
it's happening and stuff like that. So they're able to, it's stuff so far above your and my pay grade
that like they are taken into account taxable type events that would occur in a transaction like
this that would never even occur to us to take into account. Very, very, very interesting thing.
And there's a podcast that I've been working on for a while. I'm not going to say specifically
what it's about, but it involves getting a couple people in here. We've been working on it.
talking to them for like a year and they want to do it.
That is at the middle of some major art deals and that involve all this stuff,
including like whatever these state way stations are or whatever the fuck they're called
and multiple transactions on the same pieces and serious,
serious money and serious, serious players that got involved very, very quietly.
So I hope to make that happen early next year with that podcast,
but I'm going to be learning a lot there when I talk with those guys.
So back to what this transaction with Leon Black and Jeffrey Epstein was.
There's an article I have there, Dief underneath there.
It's not this one.
It's not that tweet.
It's this Artillery Mag.
Yes, that's exactly right.
So this is from Artillery Mag, the art brief by Stephen Goldberg, in January 2024.
All right.
And it's called the Curious Case of Collector Leon Black.
Let's go down.
So I get the details here.
In January 2023, Black paid $62.5 million to the U.S. Virgin Islands to settle claims relating to Black's involvement with Epstein.
He had visited Epstein's private island in the Virgin several times.
The islands had threatened a lawsuit against Black for facilitating Epstein's nefarious operations by paying millions to his companies chartered there for tax advice.
And he decided to settle for $62.5 million, which is not a even for a wealthy guy.
like that. That is not a small sum. Why would Leon Black settle with a small foreign government
for that much money to get them to shut the fuck up if he had nothing to hide?
He wouldn't is the answer. Right. You would never fucking settle that. You'd be like, I'll
see your ass in court. So then it mentions obviously what we've known for a long time, which is that
between 2012 and 2017, Epstein paid $158 million. It's been reported differently. And I was even
looking at this when I was regoing through this. Different articles in different places over the years
report is $158 million or $170 million paid to Jeffrey Epstein between those years for tax advice.
But as this article, if you just go up real quick, deft, go up. Yeah, as this article correctly
points out, it's an astonishing amount for, quote, tax advice, no law form or accounting company
in the world charges an individual anything near those fees for tax consultation, which is
another thing we've talked about in the past as it relates to Leon Black with these expenses.
Because I've kind of wondered about that. Like, okay, I could see if Epstein was
making them all kinds of money with all these loopholes and maybe there would be a way to make it
sense but that seems like a really hard case to make that seems like a lot of fucking money
even for a guy worth $13 billion like to pay that kind of fee I would think you wouldn't be
seeing something like that unless you were literally like on that Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos type
wealth level perhaps and even that I don't know because I don't know how that works is it going to be
a percentage or a flat fee it's a percentage
it would probably be something like that if it's a flat fee. Maybe not. Yeah. No, it sounds like
too much money. It does sound like too much money. Now let's go down. So in July 2023, the Senate Finance
Committee investigating sophisticated tax schemes used primarily by the top 1% to avoid payment in billions
of taxes sent a 16-page letter. Means they're serious to Leon Black asking him to provide responses
and documents to numerous questions. One of the committee's key inquiries was whether Black
originally deducted the $158 million he paid to Epstein, who had advised Black that he could do so,
and if it should have been classified as a gift subject to taxation. That's another thing I look through
when I look through how these guys do ultra-hineat worth taxes. And it just confuses me so much what
they can call a gift, how they give a gift, how they set it up in trust that are related to gifts
or not related to gifts, how they put it through multiple accounts and then call it a gift after.
the whole gift thing for all my accountants out there if you want to help out in the comments
and describe different ways and schemes that they do this you know for like a five year old to
understand that would be really fucking helpful because it you know when i worked on wall street
you know we weren't the accountants i don't know shit about fuck well i the only thing i know
is from uh shawshank when andy dufrein he's like remember he helps the one guard do that
tax gift and he gets everyone beers because of it when they're tar in the roof
Yes. It's like you can give an individual up to $10,000 and it's non-deductible or whatever it is.
Yeah, chump change, as these people would say right here. Ashtray money.
That's nothing. Yes. So, Dechard also found that Black had used a loophole in the IRS code to avoid more than $2 billion in gift and real estate taxes and conveying assets to his children through Gratz, Grana retained annuity trust.
complex devices which allowed black to retain income for a trust from a trust while placing it
in trust for his heirs. Epstein neither a lawyer nor a CPA claimed to black that he had
invented a proprietary method for setting up grids.
Dude, Hefe was moving.
Like not a lawyer, not a CPA, just cutting it up, dude.
He had motion.
Bad guy?
had motion.
In addition, Black availed himself of another tax avoidance device, a 1031 exchange.
Here it is, which was originally devised under the tax code to permit delayed payment of capital gain taxes on like-kind sales and purchases of commercial real estate.
Until the IRS nixed them for personal property in 2017.
So I believe that means it still exists for real estate.
I think that's what that means.
Yeah, it does.
What it was is they took away personal property, like personal property doesn't count.
as property now. So, art is included. So until they nixed it in 2017, a 1031 exchange was also
used to shelter like-kind exchanges of artwork from capital gains. The main advantage of the 1031
was that the collector could buy and sell and avoid paying capital gains taxes for years. A 1031
requires a third party to qualify the transaction as quote-unquote arm's length. This past October,
the New York Times reported on a 1031 exchange designed and executed by Epstein for Black. On November
23rd, 2016, Black sold a Jacametti sculpture for $25 million to the Hays Trust,
controlled by Epstein, who was not known to be an art collector.
And on the same day, a company controlled by Black bought a Shazan painting for $30 million
using the same proceeds of the Jacoametti sale.
The Times uncovered the fact that in the day before the sale, Epstein had wired money
from a larger account, the Southern Trust, which is a thing.
famous account of his that's been referenced in a lot of different investigations to the Hayes Trust.
The Southern Trust was a vehicle that Epstein used to collect fees paid to him by Black,
meaning he's literally using Leon Black's money to then pay for Leon Black's art.
So it's double dealing because he gets to like, you like front the money to pay for his own shit
that he can then put into other shit at a higher fucking rate without paying capital gains.
So it would appear to be a self-dealing transaction.
However, Black's use of Chicago deferred exchange company, which specialized in providing third-party services for 1031 exchanges and which created the companies in the transaction may provide him with some covers.
Is there anything more here down there?
Hefe.
Okay.
So a similar transaction between Black and Epstein involving a Bronk and another Shazan was also identified by the Times.
While the paper says that both the Giacometti and the Brock were sold at auction in 2017, it could not identify the sellers or buyers.
Much of the Senate Finance Committee's demand for detailed information from Black is still outstanding.
Black's response in September to the committee's July letter were found to be largely inadequate.
Hopefully the chairman, Senator Ron Wyden, will continue attempting to unravel the mystery surrounding the Black Epstein dealings.
One of the reasons, and this is pure spec here, but one of the reasons that this may have gone nowhere is because, and I found this out for the first time today, I was unaware of this.
Even before, as I understand it, the Epstein files were released, there were some.
released documents that involved emails or trails of emails that showed that Senator Ron Wyden's son
had solicited an investment for his hedge fund from Jeffrey Epstein and had had a confirmed
meeting with Jeffrey Epstein in 2016.
Nice.
So much so that this also missed me.
I missed this when it happened.
So much so that when I believe it was Scott Besant when he was in his, I think, confirmation
hearings, I want to say, which would have been back in 2025, at some point when he was
hearing in front of Wyden being deposed at some point in this Trump presidency part two.
Besant actually referenced that as a talking point back to Wyden, which was he was trying to say,
you're just trying to go at other people in the Epstein files to deflect from the fact that your
own son was trying to get at this guy. Now, Wyden maintains he found out about this. He did the
full Trump. You're telling me this for the first time. I haven't heard this. But, you know,
he found out about this on social media like everyone else. Maybe that's true. Maybe he's,
maybe it's not but once again why is everyone in some way or form who's in some sort of position
of power particularly around this case related to epstein in some way or have some sort of brush in
with epstein related to them directly or indirectly in some way i don't know seems to happen
over and over and over again but like prime example right here of old jeff fucking wheeling and
dealing and moving a little mullah across the board and taking care of biz
for his boy Leon Black, which leads me to a second article that I found.
Now this is, I think it's an archive.is right there, Dief.
Yeah.
If you see it.
Part of like, again, when you look at that 158 or 170 million that Leon Black paid him
in a five-year period, there's some evidence is a strong word, but there is some circumstantial
evidence that involves Jeffrey Epstein's own words.
to point to the fact that perhaps
part of the reason Leon Black was paying Jeffrey Epstein
was also to be an advisor in the form of being a cleanup man
for all of his sexual deviants
and at the very least,
philandering outside of his marriage
with what seemed to be a very common thread
was early 20s Eastern European immigrant girls.
That'll do it for him.
Apparently that'll do it for him.
but there are email like if if if you look at this article in the new york times which is long
there are emails of epstein saying things like you know once apparently leon black's wife
found out about some of the philandering he was like he he told someone else he advised leon
to leave her because he thinks if he stays whether he's going to have a fucking heart attack
from the stress, you know, and then there was another one where Epstein, Mr. Black had it, I'm going to start
reading straight from it right here. Mr. Black had a long-running affair. This is under Secret
Lunch recording, Steve. Mr. Black had a long-running affair with a Russian woman, Guzzle Ganeva.
By 2015, she was threatening to go public with allegations of sexual abuse unless he paid her
100 million. That's a big, she had a big target right there. You got to start high.
Yeah, yeah, he's got a lot of money.
Right? You gotta start high. I don't blame her one bit.
According to the Justice Department's Epstein documents and interviews with people familiar with the claims, Mr. Epstein, though, was here to help.
That July, after the two men met, Epstein drafted a menacing email that was apparently meant for Mr. Black to send to Miss Ghanieva, who at her time was in her 30s.

I felt it necessary, the email said, to contact some friends in FSB,
which would be referring to the Russian intelligence program that was the successor to the KGB
in the post-Soviet Russia.
The message read referring to the Russian Secret Security Service.
The message warned that her attempts to blackmail a U.S. businessman would be viewed in Russia,
was trying to attract Western investments as a grave threat and would be dealt with extremely harshly.
The message suggested that Mr. Black instead could pay her, I guess this would be a meager,
$50,000 a month for two years. All right, Dief, let's do a little math here.
50K a month for two years. That's 600K a year.
1.2.
1.2 milly. Now are they doing this as a gift? Is it tax-free?
Well, assuming she stays in America, she's going to have to figure that out.
You're going to have to figure that out.
And that'll probably be in the terms.
Like, listen, we'll give you the cash.
But you got to figure that out.
You're on your own.
And they said, I expect to never hear a threat from you again.
There is no indication Mr. Black read the message, which Mr. Epstein sent to himself or that it was sent to Mr. Ghanieva.
Mrs. Ghanieva.
But it became something of a playbook for Epstein in the week ahead.
Later that month, he emailed Sergey Balakiav, a well-known Russian government official to request a favor.
He explained that Ms. Ghanieva had tried to blackmail a group of powerful businessmen, a group of powerful businessmen.
A powerful business.
I like that.
Wow, he actually said the B.I.Z.
Good catch, Joey Dief.
It is bad for business for everyone involved, Mr. Epstein asked if they had any suggestions.
Mr. Beliakov responded by leveling damaging personal allegations against Ms. Ghanieva and said that limiting her access to the United States would be a great threat to her business.
I don't know.
That's interesting.
At the time, Epstein was in regular consequences.
contact with Brad Karp, the chairman of the law firm Paul Weiss and one of Mr. Black's most
trusted advisors. Mr. Epstein and Mr. Karp discussed whether they could somehow block Ms.
Ghanieva from the United States, which she had most recently entered on a tourist visa.
Another possibility was to enlist law enforcement because we know Jeffrey Epstein had phenomenal
interactions with them, obviously, over the years. Your call on FBI or NYPD, he wrote to Mr.
Karp, proposing that Ms. Ghanieva be arrested after Mr. Black passes her a large check, Grand
larceny, etc. There's no indication they went to law enforcement at this time.
Mr. Epstein tracked down information about Ms. Gagneva's whereabouts, her acquaintances,
and even her young son. It's kind of dark.
Suggested Mr. Karp that Mr. Black enlist private investigators from Radello and Co.
So they began running surveillance on her, going after her.
So over meals at the four seasons, Le Bernardine, and the modern, Mr. Black increased the amount
of money he was offering Ms. Ghanieva while sparkling in threats about his, her ending
up in jail if she didn't stop threatening him. So Epstein suggests raising the offer to $100,000 a month
for years into the future. A proposal that appears to carry the day. The final deal struck in October
2015, here it is. Call for Mr. Black to pay Ms. Ghanieva a total of $18 million over the next 15
years in return. Joey Deef. She signed a nondisclosure agreement in which she said that allegations
she made against Mr. Black were not true. Do you remember what Mr. Black said in response to him
filing a lawsuit against Congress in September when he refused to testify after promising
to testify. Yeah, there's NDAs and they can't be, you know, dealing with NDAs. And what did he say
about those NDAs and the women within them? He wanted to protect the victims. He wanted to protect the
victims. He wanted to protect these women. He didn't use the word victims, though, Joe, D. They're not his
victims. That's right. He wanted to protect these wonderful upstanding women that he just happened to out of the
goodness of his heart, pay millions of dollars to, not disclose how much he paid them, and make them sign a
contract NBA to never fucking talk about it and apparently say that he did no wrongdoing in return
for the money he's going to give them, I don't know, hush money, so that they would never speak
about it, but he's here to protect them because that's what he does.
Damn.
Interesting. Interesting. So there was another one where, you know, Epstein had a charitable
organization called Gratitude America. I can't make this shit up.
the same month as the deal with Miss Ghanieva, Mr. Black, and Mr. Epstein worked out an agreement of their own.
It involved a payment of $20 million in fees to Mr. Epstein, and it appeared to be structured, at least in part, to avoid taxes.
He would pay $10 million to Epstein's primary company, Southern Trust.
There it is.
But the other $10 million would be in the form of a donation to one of Epstein's charitable organizations, Gratitude America, which until then did not have any funds.
Gratitude America soon began dispensing the money in ways that could burnish Epstein's reputation or strengthen his ties to figure.
in academia and other fields because he was so grateful.
There were benefits for Mr. Black, too.
Mr. Epstein's accountant, Richard Khan, more on him in a minute, noted in an email to one
of Mr. Black's advisors that a goal of the arrangement was to maximize deductions.
Mr. Black would be able to write off the $10 million and potentially lower his tax bill.
And so they were just doing this back and forth.
They didn't want to get audited.
I mean, there's all up in here.
This article even goes into cocaine rumors, which Leon Black.
to be clear vehemently denies. He says he hasn't used drugs at the time that he said it in like
2017 or whatever. He hadn't used drugs in 40 years and it was a ridiculous accusation because of course
he would never do that. But there were also emails that showed direct proof that there was a
yoga instructor who was also Eastern European. Do we have it right there? Hi, Deborah's yoga
instructor Lucien can come over to Jeffrey today, 515 to 6.5.5.5.5.6.
15, Leon said he, I guess it was supposed to be she, that's a typo, is sensational.
Does he want her?
And that was sent on July 23rd, 2012.
And at the time, Epstein said, thanks, but it won't work today, which means, yeah,
it did happen eventually.
And yes, this is another woman that apparently Leon Black, at the very least, was going
to be paying off because he had an affair with her.
I mean, he said she was sensational.
Yeah.
It would have been a little pun right there.
It's a little more than just like the yoga with the clothes on, right?
Yeah, 100K.
100, 100, 100 is interesting.
Is that what it ended up being?
Yeah.
He would do it in 100.
So she and Mr. Black have been in a sexual relationship,
and since at least 2009,
hundreds of thousands of dollars had flowed to her from Mr. Black's bank account.
But in 2017, the setup changed.
Now, Mr. Epstein would wire the money, in this case, $100,000.
Now, the guy that we mentioned, who's at the middle of some of this,
is the long-forgotten, hopefully not for long accountant, Richard Kahn.
So, Richard Kahn, do I have it under?
Yes, I do.
It's actually under the Lennick thing.
Let's pause this for a second.
If you guys are familiar with my buddy Tommy G.,
who makes great content on YouTube,
he's been on my podcast four times now.
And the thing about Tommy is,
He's got that all Shucks Milwaukee thing going on to kind of put you at ease.
But he's always cooking.
And he's always a step ahead on stories and working tirelessly to track things down.
And one of the things I have noticed over the years is that when I talk with Tommy and I ask him what stories he's working on,
because he's always working on at least five stories at a time in the worst case scenario,
usually as much as 15 stories at a time, though.
Whenever I ask him what he's working on,
I find afterwards that I really want to key in on whatever the first thing he said was.
Because it'll almost always be something that I'm not thinking about at that time
or the general public maybe isn't thinking about much.
And he'll do it and then suddenly,
biggest story ever.
As an example, he came here in June.
And the first thing he was talking about on that point,
podcasts of stories he was working on was this documentary that had not been released that he had
filmed on flock and he put it out and then that became the fucking story everywhere and people
started tracking what these guys had been doing and most importantly also what a bunch of
other companies who were hiding beneath that wing could be doing afterwards which is exactly
what should not get lost in this story because flock is just one of many many companies
including Axon and places that have dark money behind them for sure.
He was the first guy to have Captain Tzaryak, which was like a fun, funny story from the
Black Hebrew Israelites on a documentary and got him in here like a month after that came out.
And then so he did that.
I did my podcast with Captain T, which I put out, I think January 2025.
And then he started going everywhere, you know, and that became like a big thing.
And to his day, he was on fucking every platform.
But the other day, I'm on our boy, Zach Fowse live stream.
It was me, Zach, and Tommy talking.
And Zach starts asking Tommy what stories he's working on.
This is like, I don't know, five days ago, six days ago, something like that.
And Tommy goes, well, I'm really investigating this thing that's going on with Epstein's lawyer and accountant.
That seems to be going really under the radar.
And of course, like we've covered it in here.
So I'm like, oh yeah, and Ike and Khan.
Yeah, no, it's a very, very, very interesting story right there.
Obviously, their client bases, particularly Richard Kahn,
that the accountant's client bases that he released to Congress
and his testimony back in May has gone very under the radar.
I'm like, I'm glad you're doing that.
And then what do you know, Joe Deef?
Two days later, we get this.
New Mexico State Attorney General Raul Torres announces charges against Jeffrey Epstein's
attorney and accountant.
If anyone is entitled to a recovery of Jeffrey Epstein's estate, it's the survivors.
Let's roll this for a minute.
In February of this year, I made a public announcement that the New Mexico Department of Justice
was reopening its criminal investigation into the criminal conduct that occurred by Jeffrey
Epstein and his associates at Zorro Ranch for a period of nearly two decades.
At the time of that announcement, I made it very clear that we were prepared to use
any and every available legal tool to uncover the truth, to pursue justice, and above all,
secure a measure of accountability that had been largely absent from this process.
And New Mexico is where the Zoro ranches.
Under both the state criminal system and the federal criminal justice system.
And at the heart of that commitment was something that I think is a guiding principle.
not only for the prosecutors who work in this office,
but for people who have been specifically engaged
in crimes involving children,
sexual assault victims, sexual assault survivors,
and a recognition that all too often we fail to deliver
truth and accountability.
For sure.
Okay, let's pause it right there.
goes on, he goes on to talk about the fact that why he's going after these two guys and
particularly, because obviously they were involved in the trail of money and in the trail of
the covering up some, some of the legal stuff behind it because they so closely advised Jeffrey
Epstein up until his death, quite literally. So good on him to do that. Let's see if that
goes anywhere. But kind of interesting. Once again, Tommy G is like a little bit over the target
on something ahead of time. I haven't talked to him since that live stream, but I saw this two days
I'm like, God damn it, you did it again.
So always pay attention.
Like, Tommy G.
Like, that boy's on it.
Before we get to Kushner,
we do have to say happy trails, Joey Dief.
Let's hit it.
To your favorite Italian.
Who's that?
Paulo Zambole.
This went under the radar.
Paulo Zambole,
who held a special envoy
to the whatever the fuck of whatever the fuck,
basically a prestige worldwide
if you know, you know,
type position.
in the White House that did at least allow him to get photo ops next to J.D. Vans to go talk with Iran about an in the war and shit like that. Palo Zampoly, the Italian immigrant ex-modeling executive, who was very good friends with Jeffrey Epstein, so much so that they tried to buy a modeling agency together in the early 2000s. Palo Zampoli is out. So Palo Zampoli has been dismissed from his position at the State Department, according to a U.S. Affioling.
Official, Palo was notified today that his status as an envoy has been terminated and he is no longer a government employee, the official said.
Sanpoli is a longtime friend of President Trump and first introduced him to Melania.
That is what has been reported. We talked about that length in the past based on my conversations offline with Amanda Ungaro, who is the mother of Palo Zampoli's child and was his partner for years and years.
Go back to that tweet real quick, but I just won't finish the end of that. Sorry.
So the end of the tweet says, he's a longtime friend of president.
Trump first introduced to Melania, the firing comes on the heels of Politico's report about his
month-long feud, months-long feud with Deputy Secretary of State Landau.
Okay, now you have the report up there, Deef.
So there's a nasty email fight.
This is what Politico put out that then Palo was shown the door the next day.
Nasty email fight between two top Trump appointees spills into the open.
Look at Palo.
Look at that mean lugger.
All right.
So two top appointees of President Trump, including the Deputy Secretary of State, have been embroiled in a months-long fight that includes accusations of leaks to the media and bizarre threats of defamation all over emails that at times included more than a dozen administration officials.
The conflict centers on Palo Zam Poli, a personal friend of Trump's and a special envoy to the State Department and Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau.
According to messages obtained by Politico, the email stretch over almost a year.
Wow.
This was some real, some real old world shit, bro.
Some old world shit right here.
They stretch over a year and show Zampoli and Landau disagreeing over chains of command,
as Landau admonishes Zampoli to stick to his remit on cultural issues,
but not devolve into bitter arguments and unproven allegations.
The messages stand out not just for the personal vitriol,
but because upward of 16 administration officials were included at times on the email chain.
Oh, they wanted a block party on this.
That's so good, dude.
Administration officials were included at times on the email change with
the dispute at least once spilling over into communications with the top foreign official
opening a window into the delicate state department back channeling to allies about apparent
violations of diplomatic protocol.
I love it here.
Wow.
I love it.
We're awesome.
You just have some ambassador for the Philippines looking at his Gmail and he's like,
oh no, that's like, it's like, what are we doing here?
Oh, my God.
But, you know, couldn't happen to a better guy.
Pallo seems like a real winner.
Real winner.
Trustworthy.
Yeah.
Honorable.
Decent, upstanding businessman individual, right?
Brings honor to us Italian Americans.
It brings total honor to all Italian Americans, especially the ones who found their way over here after living there as kids like Palo, you know?
Yeah. American dream.
American dream, the whole bit.
And definitely never engaged in any impropriety.
No, whatsoever, right?
No, he's a Catholic.
Yeah, he's a Catholic.
He's a man of God.
Yeah, come on.
It's a man of God.
You ain't doing nothing with that kind of guilt.
I'll tell you, firsthand.
You're doing nothing with it.
But I have not called Amanda about this.
I kind of want to.
You should, dude.
I think, Amanda listens to the show, so maybe she's hearing this show.
Give me a shout.
But I feel like she'd take a little victory lap right now.
Totally.
Right?
And I think that's well.
I don't like to get involved in interrelationship issues, but when the interrelationship issue involves like an Epstein buddy who had his, you know, wife arrested by ex-partner of 20 years, a mother of his kid, arrested by ICE and then later deported as a result, as an end result, you know, because she was inconveniencing him.
Yeah, you know, I feel like that's a little karma right there.
Yeah.
You know what, though, Joey Defe?
Maybe he can go back to be the end.
ambassador of the oceanic whatever the fuck for the nation of dominico which i know he's very passionate
about and is certainly a real citizen of and goes too often and cares every bit about all the people
that live there in a country that you and i had never heard of until we heard about that role right
yeah i would it's crazy because i would think people like this like for him why don't you just go back
to italy and ride off into the sunset i know like what do you like you've stolen and made all this money
and done like go back to positano yeah
Find yourself a fucking, you know, 30-year-old beautiful Italian broad.
You know, settle down.
Get a little villa on the cliff.
You're getting fucking house help there.
Probably costs nothing compared to what you're paying in Grand Mercy Park.
Right.
And, hey, go out in the sunset.
Do your lucky Luciano.
You got away with it.
Congrats.
Like, you got away with it.
Go enjoy yourself, like enough.
I'm not condoning what you did.
No, of course not.
D if we got to be legally fair here.
What you allegedly did.
Yes.
I'm not condoning it.
I don't like it.
In fact, you can get the fuck out of my country.
But like, you know,
well, let bygones be bygones.
If your history, I'll move on.
How about that?
Yeah, because 12 months over an email,
I mean, it's like the guy,
like it really is VEP in real life.
It is, we are living in VEP.
A 12 month long email feud that had a foreign leader
involved on the chain.
Like, it's just.
Yeah, that doesn't get better.
The four-day wonder.
What the fuck was her name?
The blonde lady.
She just got cooked.
Oh, yeah.
Zachariah?
Yes, yes.
I was saying Zakaria last week.
Shows you how short her reign was.
Didn't even have time to learn her name.
She did good.
She did good.
You know, it's funny.
As you said that, I googled the four-day wonder, and it brought up a fad diet.
So I have it on the Google Doc right there.
You see that screenshot.
Yeah, let me find this.
From the mooch.
So apparently Anthony Scaramucci, who was always measured as like, how long would a press secretary
left?
How last?
How many Scaramucci's?
Because he only lasted 10 days in Trump's first term before he was fired.
So he was tweeting like three days into her reign, she will make it.
And there's a community note on there.
This is on you got it right there.
So if you scroll down to the community note, it just says she did not make it.
But there was also the first article right there.
just while we're on this, quick side swipe here, Joey Deef.
Caroline Levitt, the previous press secretary,
responded to this.
And I just want to read between the lines here.
It sounds like there was some a little bit catfighting behind the scenes.
Because listen to this quote, Joey Deef.
She goes down and she says,
we wish Katie the best.
The job obviously was not for her,
but we wish her, here it is, Joey Deaf.
We wish her and her family well.
I love it. She hit her with the, obviously, this wasn't for her, and the we wish her well.
Yep. And her family. Yeah. Now, the good news for Katie is that because she's not in the spotlight
anymore and she's moved back out to L.A., she is able to go back to normal life and with the right
sunglasses and coverings, not, you know, not draw any intention to herself. So she went in,
to get a coffee this week.
Let's get a good look at that, Joy, Defe.
This is Katie Zachariah getting a coffee.
She was so close.
She was so close.
And then the hat.
Kind of a dead giveaway.
You got a 45-47 with a big gold Make America
Great again on the front.
That kind of takes away the hoodie, the sunglasses,
the hair down, the hat brimlow,
and the yoga pants to kind of say,
Maybe, maybe this is the lady who just got fired, right?
Yeah, I mean, listen, I got to give it to these people.
They got confidence, man.
I mean, you just got at, you didn't even make it a full business week.
You're right, four days.
You got axed.
She's in L.A. too.
And then you're just popping out in L.A.
Looking like that.
Like, she's, she's, obviously she's feeling good.
She's doing the lariatie.
She is.
Yeah, yeah, she is.
She really is.
She's doing the wear the hat in L.A.
So people don't fucking talk.
Yeah, because she wants.
She wants the coffee shop to herself. She's got to do job interviews.
Oh, my God. Oh, that's so good.
That's good stuff. Well, we do wish her all the best.
Oh, her well. Her hot beverage was from Arrowhorn.
Oh, it was from Arrowhorn? Come on. Good for her. That's 30 bucks.
Wow. They're paying press secretary is pretty good in four days.
Although, I don't know, her husband's like a business guy. Yeah, she got a little, oh, she's also a Chinese lawyer.
He is a Chinese lawyer. You can't forget that. Remember?
She is a Chinese.
lawyer. She passed it in China. For sure. So going back to what I have, we're going to go through
Kushner right before that. Joey Deef, we did promise this. So let's do it and give people to download.
Joey Deef and I did go see Primetime, the movie based on Chris Hansen. Yes. With Robert Pattinson,
directed by Lance Oppenheim. We saw that, what, a couple weeks ago now? Yeah, two or three weeks
ago, I'd say. So, I'm going to let Thief give his thoughts on unabated in a sec to start off with
what my takeaways were. First of all, I'm a big Robert Pattinson fan. He should probably get
some sort of award for it. The impersonation was unbelievable. He crushed it. He crushed it.
Like, it was very entertaining and he was, he played an exaggerated version as well of Chris Hansen.
So it was like some of it was hilarious and like the things you would say and the acts.
would do and stuff like that. So like on that one hand, it was, that was really impressive and
the movie itself was entertaining. Was it the most entertaining movie I've ever seen? No. Do I think
the new like filmmaking style where everyone's trying to do like the Safdi Brothers Uncut Gems or
Marty Supreme is like the best trend? No, you know, where they got the constant, you know,
schizo music in the background and moving shots all the time. And it's,
They make everything just giant anxiety-ridden.
It worked for those two movies that the Safdi brothers made because they're literal, by the way,
uncut gems, which I really like and Marcia Supreme, great movies, like both of them.
They're the same movie.
They're two completely out of their mind, anxiety-ridden guys going through something crazy
in their life.
One is just driven by addiction and the other is driven by ambition.
And so with Chris Hansen, they decided.
to film this movie in a way where it's a very similar style. And like if every movie starts
getting made that way, I'm going to get a little annoyed. Nonetheless, it was entertaining.
That said, one of the things I said to Dief when we walked out of theater is I do think
it's the wrong movie for the wrong time. They did start producing this in 2024 before some of
obviously the big stories this year happened. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And people being extremely
obviously, righteously so incensed and outraged at the level of pedophilia in the world.
And so making a film that does poke fun at a guy who, you know, Chris obviously has been on the show,
great guy. He is definitely memeable. He is definitely entertaining. He is definitely funny,
all these things. But like kind of taking him down in a way when he's been a guy who for over two
decades has been a peto hunter, not the best messaging.

But what I was saying to Deef when we walked out of the theater after that was my first thought,
is I said, I do wonder whether I would have agreed with the interpretation of Chris Hansen or not.
I do wonder if this movie came out in 2017 instead of in 26 if I would be saying that same thing as strongly.
versus instead just saying, well, they were just making a parody of Chris Hansen.
I don't know.
What was odd and a little spoiler alert here, so skip the next 30 seconds if you don't want to know this,
but the ending of the movie was stupid.
And maybe inadvertently, I hope inadvertently sent the wrong message because it involved
a sting with a peto who then unalived himself.
And the guy was a stone cold petto and a powerful guy.
He was a DA in Texas.
And so I'm sitting there wondering like,
am I supposed to feel bad that the guy unalived himself
after trying to do unspeakable things to a 13-year-old boy?
Because I certainly don't feel bad.
Look, I'd like the guy to see justice.
I don't ever necessarily root for someone to do that kind of thing.
But like, what are they trying to?
to make me feel there. I thought that was odd. I also do believe, like everyone was saying,
and we've talked about it before, but that NDA, the Chris Hansen refused to sign with A24
when he went to go see the film early at their location in New York, you know, and they were
trying to say, well, it's a standard NDA. Everyone signs. There were things in there that even
if it is a standard NDA for anyone who's just going to see the fucking film early would sign,
there were things in there that if you're Chris Hansen, who the movie is fucking based on, they use his name, they use his show, they use the real people with real names from his show who were making it and they did all of it without consulting him or showing him the script or getting his side of take on things.
Yeah, you might want to reserve the right depending on the outcome to be able to sue or to be able to say, hey, like I'm not okay with certain things.
I think I agree with Chris on that.
So that was the wrong way for them to go about it.
But, you know, there's been this argument online where people are like, oh, this movie was like defending pedos.
Yeah.
I didn't get that.
I did not get that.
Again, the ending was stupid.
The ending was very stupid.
But I didn't throughout like, I wasn't feeling like they were trying to make petos look like.
I don't know.
I don't think they were trying to like like humanize like like.
Right.
Right.
You know, I know what you mean.
Right.
So, you know, like if anything, it actually, even with the very first scene, it made them look hilariously pathetic in most of the ways.
In most of the scenes.
So I didn't really get that.
I kind of landed in the middle on some of this.
But I do think it's just probably the wrong movie for the wrong time.
nonetheless, if you guys go see it, judge for yourself, that's kind of where I was at.
So Joey D, if you take it away with where you're at.
Yeah, I liked it.
I enjoyed it.
I'm excited to see his other movie because he's got two movies out now, Oppenheim.
But yeah, I liked it a lot.
The ending was, yeah, pretty ass.
But like you, I don't think it was supposed to be like defending pedos or anything like that.
I think if anything, the ending was like this culmination.
of like what he's doing has real world effects and like it's real people involved and it goes
beyond like just their TV show like it's going to have like real repercussions and stuff
that's kind of like how I've taken it the more I've sat with it but um yeah I don't I don't
think all the bullshit online I think is just that it's kind of bullshit yeah people want it's like
everything else in our society people automatically want to get totally zero
or 100 on everything and once in a while you'll run into some like you read epstein emails yeah it's
kind of zero or 100 right like in this case it's 100 but i i i think with this there was a little more
nuance that said i wouldn't have made the movie i i wouldn't have made it today like in in this environment
i would have had a serious thought about that because i've said this many times before but it is a
reality i don't like it but this is the reality of the world we live in a world where before you
get to how things actually are, you better have how things look figured out first. It sucks.
But how things look at the surface level matters more than how it actually is. If you write the
greatest fucking book ever or you make the greatest YouTube video ever and you have either no cover
or no thumbnail on it, no one's going to see it. Right? Like that's, I don't like that. I mean,
shit, if it were up to me, my thumbnails would be a picture of the guest, the name of the podcast, the
podcast and the number of the episode. That's what my, that's what every one of my thumbnails would be.
But you'd never fucking hear me if they were. So you have to have that part buttoned up. And it sucks
because then if you go to do something creatively, you have to think about how people are going to
interpret that sometimes, like in this case with making a movie where you're going to be taking
artistic limitations. I do think another mistake they made is that they put at the end in the end
credits very quickly that this was, you know, there were certain, I forget what it said,
but certain things fictionalized based on this, you know, for entertainment purposes.
Like what they put at the beginning of South Park essentially.
Yes. Put that at the beginning. Yeah. You put, especially for one like this, that's an easy
unforced error. Put that at the beginning. Don't do what 50 cent did did did he, which I thought
was cool and hilarious, by the way, because Diddy is objectively an awful guy. But 50 cent did
that to Diddy in his documentary at the end where he would just like very quickly flash on the
screen. I think I talked about that last week. But, you know, like, by the way, you know, he was only
found guilty of these two things, but he's definitely a bad guy. You know, so, I don't know,
that's kind of what I took right there. You heard what Joey Deave had to say. Yeah, I'd go see
the movie. It's a fun time. Go see the movie. Pat and some crush. I do want to see the other
movie they made, though, on Elizabeth Holmes, like you said. Yeah, it's doing gangbusters.
I've heard it's unbelievable.
what they were able to get.
And the fact that Nate Fielder and Lance were able to go and do that with her all the way up to it,
to the point that they were even filming themselves right outside the prison when she was walking in
and no one picked up on this.
Yeah.
Fucking insane.
I mean, I didn't even know the movie's runtime is three hours.
It's a three hour dock.
I didn't.
And I'm almost shocked that they could distill it down to three hours spending that much time with that fucking psycho lady.
Mm-hmm.
You know what I mean?
Mm-hmm.
I don't know how she's tweets.
She tweets back at us a couple times.
I don't know if she's tweeting.
I think it's the boyfriend now.
It's the boyfriend doing it?
Yeah.
Okay.
All right, let's get to Jared Kushner, friend of the show, as Tim Dillon would say.
So Matthew Cole has this book coming out on Tuesday, October 27th, I believe.
Can we pull up the book itself as well?
Some people have this Matthew Cole book, Jared Kushner.
It'll come right up.
Princes and Thieves.
What's it called?
Prince's and Thieves.
So Jared Kushner and Muhammad bin Zayyad's secret plot to remake the Middle East.
Remake the Middle East.
Now, I've said this before with books I read, but I love it nonfiction books before I even open the page skipping back to the bibliography.
Even without looking at the details first, just seeing how thick it is and then looking at the details.
too, which is obviously very, very critical.
Just to kind of see where some sourcing is.
And then, you know, you got to read the book and see where it correlates and all that to see how it actually stands up.
But that is what I'm going to be doing with this book right here.
Because as of the time of this recording on Friday evening, October 23rd, Matthew, the author, has not responded to some of the pushback on the claims that were made.
We're going to go through this very viral Vanity Fair article.
that lays out allegedly what Jared Kushner was involved with. But here's why this is really
important to say. I started to talk about this at the outset, but I want to reiterate this again.
I believe Jared Kushner is a very bad guy. I believe he has no talent. I believe he's a Nepo baby.
I believe that he has very bad intentions and is a horrific example of the worst thing that exists
among, you know, people that think they're way better than you and I.
We have discussed many investigations into financial transactions, particularly since he, quote,
unquote, was going to leave political life after Trump term one that he and his wife,
as a result, Ivanka Trump, the president's daughter, had been involved in.
We have covered that and we'll continue to cover that.
And it's to the tune of up to $6 billion, by the way.
It involves multiple countries, including some of the countries that are mentioned in this
very article right here.
We have seen this guy be one of the worst negotiators in the history of fucking mankind as an unelected official on behalf of this administration involving a war that, you know, should have never fucking happened that they promised against and that has made a mess of the world.
We have watched this guy be in all these places that we don't want him to be.
And I would love nothing more than to never have to say the name Jared Kushner again and get him to fuck out of private life.
and to abide by the same laws that you and I have to abide by.
So, journalistically speaking, and stay with me here, when I go to do that,
that means that I have to think about what are all the ways that my goal there could go wrong.
And one of the key ways it could go wrong is if I run to every single allegation,
take it no matter what it is at face value without review.
the underlying evidence that can support it and say this is 100% true only to be proven wrong
later. Okay? So I'm going to start this because I'm not saying that what's in this article
hasn't happened. I'm saying I'm going to need to see some receipts on this and you will
understand why when I go through it. I'm going to start with Jared Kushner's response to this.
Now Jared Kushner has responded to other things over the past like few months that are laughable
where, you know, he just does the regular denial. This is ridiculous. It should be taken down.
and it's like objectively something that it's like, well, no, Jared.
You are an asshole.
You did this wrong.
But on this one, he took a similar approach.
So hopefully, you know, if the report is correct.
And by the way, I hope the report's not correct because it's bad, right?
But if the report is correct, and this is actually good journalism, which would be bad
for all of us in the sense that these things would have happened and we wish they didn't happen.
But if that is the case, hopefully then this is a total lie that Jared Kushner's caught in.
and he digs his whole deeper and he's one step closer to never being fucking heard from again.
Anyway, he says, at Vanity Fair posted an excerpt from a book containing outrageous and categorically false allegations.
By the way, Joey Death, you ever notice people like this in these positions never do this?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He never turned the...
Even did he tried that.
He crashed out by them.
No, he can't do that.
But like, they never turn the phone around and just talk to it in one take and, like, at least try to show you their tone.
face, their fucking feel, but people like this probably don't even have feelings.
No.
He says, the excerpt from the book containing outrageous and categorically false allegations came
from Van Eyfair.
The allegations made by this author are completely insane and never happened.
We denied every one of these claims on the record, yet the author failed to provide a single
shred of evidence to substantiate any of them.
No bank statements, wire transfer records, account numbers, transaction dates, or other
verifiable details were provided to support these extraordinary accusations.
During the period in question, because this story took place in 2017, 2018, in there, I was one of the most scrutinized people in the world subjected to intense media coverage.
That is true.
Multiple congressional investigations, that is also true.
And a special counsel investigation.
I voluntarily cooperated with these investigations provided over 30 hours of testimony.
I believe that is true as well.
None of these allegations ever surfaced because none of these events ever happened.
or you know who's above their pay great to ask we've seen that in other stories too
these are outrageous fabrications being presented as investigative journalism this is not
journalism is a mixture of fantasy fiction and advocacy written by someone who is either deeply
disturbed or acting with sinister intent so before i go to read the article right now one
thing i do want to say is the time period in question because this article is going to
involve saudi arabia and mbz as well with the uae
And then other transit countries where they're doing weird financial transactions, very similar,
the whole dark art dealing black pit.
Like it's very, very similar.
And then also Israel as well, which we know Jared Kushner can't get enough of Israel.
He fucking loves the place.
Benjamin Netanyahu slept in his childhood bed when he would stay here in America.
You know, so it involves all these different places.
And the reason I want to say it out front is because if you remember, and I've referenced this many times over the years,
In, what was it, 2018, Jamal Khashoggi, the journalist who at the time was associated with the Washington Post, who was, had been a high-ranking social society person in Saudi Arabia, right?
Yeah, 2018.
Who also, I believe, was related to Adnan Khashoggi, which, you know, kind of interesting.
But Jamal Khashoggi was murdered in the Saudi consulate in Turkey.
and you know there was video footage of a bunch of dudes and suits who had arrived on some private jet going into the consulate after video showed jama shogi going into the consulate and then video showed jama shoggi never coming out the suited men coming out with bags presumably carrying pieces of his hacked up body and it was so dark that there is even strong evidence to support the idea that perhaps Muhammad bin salman the crown prince of saudi arabia was
on the video monitor in the conference room in the consulate as Jamal Khashoggi was being executed
in this case. But this was an international big deal. You have a leader of a major nation
allegedly ordering the murder of a dissident journalist who was operating out of America
at the time as far as like his journalism goes, working for the Washington Post, which was also
owned by Jeff Bezos, which added just a little extra cherry on top layer to it, where he was also
ordering said murder on a diplomatically protected piece of land inside of a foreign nation
that is diplomatically protected under the idea that there is a trust that illegal activities
are not going to happen in this place, particularly murder.
obviously you and I both know illegal activities happen and all these fucking consulates and stuff but you know what I mean so it was a big deal and there were leaked reports in the months and years afterwards about how Trump was bragging to people behind the scenes that he saved MBS's ass and he came in and had his back and got rid of this thing and the intonation was that Trump was very aware that he had actually done this which I mean was very clear that he did this
And so you ask yourself, why did he do that?
And then you look at like the Abraham Accords and some of the normalization in the Middle East and things Jared Kushner was involved in.
And Jared Kushner developed a very close relationship with MBS.
And so you wonder, and this is where it gets this in Pierce back, how much, you know, a guy like Kushner is playing that game.
And again, this is 2018.
So now I want you to turn back the clock for a second and start at 2017, which is.
where these allegations, and I really have to emphasize that as of right now, these are just
allegations. I have not seen proof to back this yet. Hopefully we get that on Tuesday when the
book comes out. But these allegations start in 2017. So we got it up, Thief. Can people see it?
Yeah. Oh, yeah. Defe also has up the, you can go back for one sec. These are like fun facts
about Jared Kushner, Benjamin Nettanyahu slept in his childhood bed when he was
teenager. He listened to Netanyahu speak. He married Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka. Before marrying
Ivanka, he and his family were substantial Democratic donors. After leaving the White House,
he founded Affinity Partners, which took about $2 billion from Saudi Arabia. There it is.
Public Investment Fund and more from Qatar and the UAE. So he took $2 billion three years after
maybe helping PIRSP out of his little pickle right there. He is the current U.S. Special
Envoy for peace missions. He purchased a controlling stake in the New York, Observer.
and he transferred ownership in 2017,
invited Jeffrey Epstein to the New York Observer's
25th Anniversary Gala in 2013
because that's what you do.
Epstein filed suggests that Kushner was the shadow president
of the United States in 2016.
That seems like a little bit of a bold claim.
I don't even know if I've seen something that says that.
He's a billionaire through real estate and investment firms.
By the way, when they sold their property
that they were underwater in in New York
on, I believe it was Fifth Avenue in 2018,
I think they sold it to Vornado in 2018 or 2019.
Do you know what the address on that location was?
What?
What?
It is now 660 Fifth Avenue.
At the time, it was 666.
Nice.
I believe 5th Avenue.
Fifth or Park, one of them.
But like, you know, not open in the symbolism department.
I might have done that rebranding before I owned it
instead of waiting until I sold it
and then the next guy being like, yeah, I don't know if I want to own a building called 666.
Maybe this feels a little cursed right here.
But this Vanity Fair article that includes an excerpt from the book is called The Art of the Deal.
Jared Kushner's hacked phone.
That's at the middle of this story.
Revealed his secret negotiations including more than 700 million, milly in transfers.
An exclusive excerpt from princes and thieves.
Jared Kushner and Mohammed bin Zayed's secret plot to remake the Middle East,
examines how bank accounts linked to the president's son-in-law and former senior advisor to Israel,
the UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
So in spring 2020, the author writes,
A source I knew to be reliable called me with a story.
The Dutch government had hacked into Jared Kushner's phone and monitored him as he assessed a Dubai-based bank account.
Didn't know the Dutch were like that.
Dutch are doing that.
Duts are dead.
Purs back, allegedly.

What was odd, the source said, was that the money in the account, hundreds of millions of dollars,
had come from a bank in Azerbaijan.
That's where you do it.
Joey Diff.
Actually, you're going to find out that is where you do it.
I spend lots of time in Azerbaijan.
Well, I'm going to tell you why you should be spending more time there later because that part's true.
But most importantly, Kushner appeared to have transferred significant amounts of money from the Dubai account to other individuals, including a warlord.
That's what you do, right?
A mercenary and a one-time hitman.
Nice.
These are very useful people.
The story sounded preposterous, I told my source.
And yet, six months later, I found myself speaking with someone else about the UAE government and their use of mercenaries and conflicts around the Middle East and Africa when I asked on a whim whether they knew anything about Kushner and bank transfers from a government.
a UAE account. My acquaintance grew quiet. Then they replied, yes. So I actually, when I read that,
and maybe I'm overthinking this, but I was trying to think how I would have asked that if that is in
fact how directly he asked it. If he went right to him and said, hey, do you know anything about
a Kushner account and the UAE? I would have done it differently in, and I'm not exactly sure how,
but it probably would have been multiple questions to kind of screen him where I would, I definitely would not mention Kushner at first to like fill in a blank and give him an opportunity to try to go with the story, right? And I probably wouldn't have said UAE right away. I probably, and maybe he did, and he's just skipping the last question he asked, but I probably would have started with something more broad like, do you know anything about bank accounts that could involve government officials in powerful countries around the world where they may.
move slush money from other governments through third party banks that could then pay them off
to curry political favor illegally. Something like that. Right. So that the source has to actually
figure out how this would happen. That's just me. That this is how he chose to do it. So over the
next four years, he came to learn, the author came to learn that sometime in late 2017, the Netherlands
Defense Intelligence and Security Service made a startling discovery. A general staff of the
armed forces of the Russian Federation GRU operative. So the GRU is where a lot of the Russian
dark web hackers are. Obviously, when you're looking at governments with powerful cyber,
well-known, very powerful cyber operations, the United States, Russia, actually North Korea is pretty
good. China, Saudi Arabia, Israel. I've heard Britain's pretty fucking good at it, but I don't know
as many details on that. So, you know, the GRU would also make sense. So they had made a starting
discovery. A general staff of the GRU, a dark web hacker specializing and stolen bank data,
was traveling to the UK for an espionage mission. They reached out to the British government
for permission to apprehend him. This is the, the Netherlands,
Defense intelligence when he arrived. The British agreed. When the Russian national arrived in England,
the Dutch informed it and he had two options. He could work for them against the GRU or the British
would arrest them. And he said, fuck that. I'm going to work for you. That's obviously me shortening.
So later that year, the Russian operative gave the Dutch spies access to one of the GRU's most
sensitive assets located in Rostov, Russia. The GRU's hacking and cyber team operated a remote server
on which they stored some of their bounty.
During this search, through these secret files,
the Dutch found something astonishing.
Screenshots of Jared Kushner's iPhone.
Damn.
Like actual screenshots.
Now, here is another possibility here.
It's where my head was thinking,
based on other stories I've heard over the years.
I don't know if this is the case,
but sending a high-level GRU operative to, in this case,
hostile territory like Britain,
is risky.
obviously like he was there allegedly for an espionized mission that's what they said
you are opening that person up to being arrested and picked up by the British government
or you know another service like this so if you wanted to do a little duble a
operation here yeah yeah yeah double agent right you'd do that yeah you'd send them in there
and you'd be like oh fuck they got me yep ah no but I you
It's your lucky day.
I got treasure throw for you.
And you plant some information.
That's possible.
It's very possible because they're talking about screenshots.
But it does go deeper on the Dutch government's claims here.
So I'm less inclined to believe that that's the case, again, if this story is true.
In the Hague, the MIVD hacking team tried to reverse engineer the Russian penetration of Kushner's iPhone.
Kushner owned what was then the latest model, the iPhone X, released in November 2017.
It featured face ID, which was at the time state of the art.
The Dutch team had been trying to pick the phone's door lock, so to speak, when it occurred to them that the Russians may have found an unlocked window to gain entry instead.
Their hypothesis was correct. By early 2018, the MIVD had found a vulnerability in the iPhone that gave them access.
Security exploit wasn't perfect, however. Some malware allows a hacker to turn a victim's phone into a microphone and video camera.
That's why you see Benjamin Netanyahu, for example, having, you know, camera covered stuff on his iPhone.
and I imagine, I can't see it, but I imagine stuff covered on mics that's like extra special
that can also like block noise and actual see-through devices, stuff like that.
But they allow a hacker or turn a victim's phone into a microphone and video camera,
turn the phone on or off, and pull or add files.
The Dutch solution did not provide that level of access.
Instead, when Kushner used the phone, they could see his screen.
Almost as soon as they got inside, the Intel service began capturing every image of Kushner's screen
as he used it filing their own cachet of surveillance on their internal computer service.
Another question you have to ask here is if they were doing this in 2017, 2018, the world also
very hostile to Trump administration won.
Obviously, he's having a lot of issues with NATO back then, which he's continued to have the
second time around.
You do have to ask yourself, why are we only hearing about this now?
You know, why did this story not come out back then or, or, you know, at least not fucking eight, nine years later?
That's interesting.
We got a midterm coming up.
We got a midterm coming up, October surprise.
As they monitor Kushner's phone, they discovered the use to log in,
that he used it to log into the UAE bank account.
By the time the Dutch spies had visibility into the phone,
the account had received hundreds of millions of dollars from a bank in Azerbaijan.
Their initial assessment was that the bank account was affiliated with the government there.
But they were probably wrong about that.
The bank account became an intelligence mystery to unravel.
Nearly everything they worked on had a tinge,
of Russian conspiracy
a little over a year into Trump's first
presidency, the MIVD, like FBI
agents, federal prosecutors in Washington
working into Robert
Mueller investigation had only part
of the story. Kushner,
UAE ruler, Muhammad bin Zayed,
Mbz, and Muhammad bin Salman,
MBS of Saudi Arabia.
Converged at an auspicious moment.
MBS wanted to be crown prince.
This is when he was like locking everyone up in the
fucking writs from the royal family and
interrogating them and shit. MbZ wanted to blow up Obama's Iran nuclear deal and Kushner wanted both
to help for to help him force the Palestinians into a deal that Israel would accept. Again,
why does he give so much a shit about that? I'm not saying the Middle East, you know,
you wouldn't like to see peace there, but like why is that his main objective as an unelected
official in the United States White House? I don't know. Despite the perception of his
wealth, Kushner was not entirely financial independent of his parents and the family
business, Kushner companies faced a billion-dollar loan coming due on their trophy property,
the Manhattan office building at 666 Fifth Avenue, now known as 660 Fifth Avenue. Early in the first
Trump administration, NBC and MBS offered to pay for a slush fund dedicated to helping the new
administration with foreign policy goals because that's what you do, a little slushy. The idea was to
help pay for Trump's promised wall between Mexico and the U.S., for example, in an effort to secure a second
term in the White House. The two-out royals initially discussed with Kushner putting more than 10
billy into the effort, which is Trump change for those guys. Within months, though, as NBCZ pushed the
Trump administration help back MBS's effort to become his country's crown prince and future king,
the broadened foreign policy slush fund idea fizzled. Instead, MBZ and MBS initially and then
MBZ alone. So MBS moves out of it, put at least $2 billion into at least two bank accounts for
Kushner. It is unclear how the Royals organized their $2 billion in combined payments, but they
effectively split the cost. For the purposes of explanation, it is best to understand where and how
each bank was controlled. Bank account Alpha, now follow me here, was allegedly held at first
Abu Dhabi Bank, the largest in the UAE. So you have a bank account in the UAE. And it was overseen by
MBZ's brother, Tenoon bin Zayed, who served as the bank's chairman. Keep it all in the family.
You know, beginning in 2017, the Saudis and Emirates transferred roughly seven.
$750 million into the Alpha account. So $750 million into UAE. Alpha would be used as a foreign policy fund.
This money would be overseen and partially managed by Kushner and MBZ, who in their effort to strike a grand bargain to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which obviously didn't work out too well, believed the region's map needed to be redrawn.
I wonder what that means. Is that a greater Israel reference? Jared was looking for shortcuts in his diplomacy.
A source said, I'm going to skip some of this because it just mentions how much the money was little to them.
and a good investment potentially for MBZ.
So the Dutch spies who monitored the Alpha account
noted that all of it was sent by a bank in Azerbaijan
in American dollars.
And this is why this is critical to know.
Azerbaijan plays a unique role in money laundering.
Its central bank maintains high levels of U.S. dollars
in its reserves but does not adhere
to the highest standards of bank transparency.
As a result, Azerbaijani banks have well-established
but unadvertised practices of serving as way stations for large transfers.
Very similar to what I described with art earlier.
Not the same thing, but similar.
As way stations for large transfers in which a foreign currency is exchanged for an equal
amount in dollars.
For a roughly 6 to 7% fee, that's a big ass fee, Joey Dief.
Not bad.
Every $100 you're making six or seven bucks just to change it into another currency so nobody
knows. For a roughly 6 to 7%
fee on the transaction, some Azerbaijani
banks will accept a transfer from a
client who wishes to move Saudi Rials
or Emirati Durams
totaling hundreds of millions of
dollars. The Saudi or Emirati
client sends the money to the Azerbaijani
bank, which then uses a
different internal bank account to transfer
the equivalent U.S. dollars to
the client's requested destination.
For auditors,
this shadow trade can't be discerned.
It disappears.
It's like Kaiser Sojour.
It's fairy dust.
It's fairiedush.
It's going.
You can't see it.
And it's in another jurisdiction.
It's in a sovereign nation that has their own laws.
Like obviously we know the famous like Swiss banks and white people hide money there.
We know about people hide money in Cyprus or in the Cayman Islands and some of these other advantageous places.
It's because they have the cover of like, for lack of the better way of putting it, not a perfect way to put it, but like their own diplomatic rights, if you will.
A shallow audit as the Dutch tried while monitoring Kushner's iPhone revealed nothing more than what appeared to be an Azerbaijani government-linked bank account that sent hundreds of millions of dollars to an account in Dubai.
But there was another aspect of the alpha account that the Dutch couldn't see or understand, one that helped reveal the secret purpose of the money, allegedly here.
Kushner did not own the bank account at first Abu Dhabi Bank.
He was a signatory for an account managed and owned by an Emirati charity.
When MBZ and MBS first began contributing to the Alpha account in 2017, the Watani Al-Emarot Foundation, a UAE government-funded charity was run by Darar Baloud Al-Falasi.
Al-Falasi was a technocrat and a member of the Federal National Council and friends with one of MBZ's closest friends and advisors.
As a result, Al-Falasi and the Watani Foundation had a second mission.
The charity was used as a cover to move money in support of the country's secret military.
and intelligence operations overseas.
That's what you deal with charities.
You want to make sure you fund more death around the world.
You know, like, that's why you set it up.
It's the only reason.
It's it.
It's like USAid.
Yeah.
And like the, what was it, the Gratitude Foundation?
Yeah, gratitude America.
Gratitude America.
Come on.
Come on.
They fund in my college career.
Don't say that.
People are looking to that.
Yeah, people are nuts.
People.
Maybe they'll find someone.
It's a joke, you fucking.
psychopaths. Okay. If you come up guilty on that, I can't help you.
Under the Watani cover, Alpha Lasi helped facilitate the UAE's secret weapons purchasing programs,
one confidential source who had direct knowledge of the charity's proliferation program revealed.
This source said that the Emirates believed that the program status as a charity made its
international transactions less likely to be scrutinized, which is what you want, and therefore
served as a useful cover for funding MBZ and his brother's secret wars. So they made Kushner a signatory
the Alpha account with Watania's signatory Jared had access to it and could in theory make
transactions, but it technically was not his account. One way to view what Kushner did was the
alpha account is to imagine him as the director of the CIA. He had been running the government
entity that managed and ran secret foreign programs maintaining the account again with
presidential approval and congressional disclosure. Cusner's content conduct would have been
within his job's responsibilities. The problem was he was not director of the CIA,
whose position is approved by the Senate and whose ops are overseen and accountable to Congress.
Instead, Kushner was overseen only by his father-in-law, who, according to four senior Trump administration officials,
two national security advisors, a White House chief of staff, and a former CIA director,
were unaware of any presidential authorization for Kushner to access a foreign government bank account.
And this is where he does throw in there, as Kushner mentioned, like he didn't throw in enough,
which maybe is true. I don't know. That's Jared Kushner's claim.
Kushner's counsel, however, said Kushner did not make any.
agreements or arrangements with leaders or officials in foreign countries that were not agreed to
by the president of the United States and the best interests of the United States.
You know, if true, that's a big if.
I do have to say that with this one.
This is not like you look at the affinity partner stuff and the money flowing in, which by the way
does track to some of these same people, that stuff looks clear as day to me.
You know, oh, let's start investments in Syria.
Make sure you build a Trump golf course there though.
Boom, money hits.
obviously that's we're looking at it and it's tracking with this it tracks but i you can't just
give me an anonymous source saying we hacked into the fucking guy's iPhone you have to show me
something there you just journalistically you have to show me something and if true he should
fry this is this is a lot of things i mean it's a lot of things joey if true this is fucking
money laundering this is influence peddling
This is being a traitor.
Like, it's a million things because there's a whole other thing in here.
I'll get into it for a second just so you guys have it.
In addition to the Alpha Bank account, MBZ put money into at least one other account intended for Kushner.
By the spring of 2018, the Crown Prince had moved roughly $1 billion to Israel via Azerbaijan for Kushner.
We will refer to this account as the beta bank account.
It is unclear how Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu first learned of NBC's money for Kushner,
But a person briefed on the beta account told me that the prime minister encouraged Kushner to have the money deposited in the Israeli central bank in what would appear to be a government account.
It is also unclear how Kushner used the money the UAE deposited into the beta account for him.
But according to the person with knowledge of the money, its allocation was allegedly for Kushner's personal benefit.
But as with the alpha and some of the allegedlys, by the way, that I'm adding are my words, not his.
So when you've heard allegedly sometime in this article, he didn't necessarily say that.
I'm saying that.
because these are allegations.
His allegation was allegedly for Kushner's personal benefit.
But as with the alpha account, there were clues in the way the beta account was managed.
Now, this also brings in David Friedman, who is the former U.S. ambassador to Israel,
who has a cold take every fucking five minutes on everything happening there
and certainly seemed to not be serving America in his tenure and in his post-tenure of ambassador to Israel.
certainly seemed to be more like the guy that we sent there to work for Israel and not do what we
wanted to do, but that's neither here nor there. He characterized all these claims as 100% false.
He went through the whole thing, so he denies it as well. But he was allegedly involved in this
whole thing. And the reason I don't want to go as deep into the beta account is because this
story is brand new. And I'm still trying to do a little more work on how the account would have worked
with what's the wording here i want to make sure i get this right so i don't fuck this up with money being
deposited into the israeli central bank because i have seen some arguments made about what types
of accounts can be accessed there and who can account who can access those accounts and when and where
money can come in and where some of the story might not add up but i can't say one way or the other
yet because i do not know enough so i don't want to go beyond that but you can read this article
It's behind a paywall on Vanity Fair.
But if you archive.is it, so go to the Vanity Fair article, copy the link, type in archive.
Dot ish.
Hit the fucking I'm not a robot.
Paste in the link, hit search.
It'll load the page and you can see it just like us.
That's how we're able to do it with some of these articles and some of these places behind paywalls.
but it's very, very interesting allegations.
It is coming out right before midterms.
I don't know why they would need it to be.
Like everyone sees where the midterms are going.
They don't need October surprises.
It's, you know, obviously, like the morale across the country by the percentages is not high as it relates to his current government.
So there will probably be a little reshuffling in the deck, right, Jardee?
Yeah, it's going to be interesting with the next few years hold as to.
of pardons. Yeah, well, that's what I was going to say. On one side, it's going to be a lot of
pardons. And on the other side, it's going to be a lot of investigations. And, um, yeah, we're
in hell right now, gentlemen. Yeah, you say that again. We've got to climb back out. It's a game
anxious. Anyway, yeah, dozy of an article, I am going to be buying that book on Tuesday to
make a wider judgment on it. And if, if some of it looks interesting enough, maybe I shall
reach out to Matthew and see if he wants to come in. I don't know yet. I have to look at the claims.
I do try to, you know, again, big claims require big evidence for sure. And like we, we do try to be
really, really careful with that here. And when we get something wrong, we tell you, which by the way,
there was a small detail last week. Let me correct this before we go. Small detail, something that.
that came up on a random search that a listener of the show reached out to Dief.
Thank you for doing that as a minor point.
But we had the name wrong.
What was it?
Robert Simon.
Yeah, I just want to pull this up really quick.
Yeah, so.
It was Jim Simons and there was a Robert Simons.
Yeah, it was Jim Simons, but we were talking about Renaissance Capital.
That's right.
And we had said, we had tied it to Jim Simons, the great Quant himself.
But his company was Renaissance technology.
Right.
Or, yes.
So just to be clear, it was a side point.
But when we were tying it to Renaissance Capital, which came up in an article involving Howard Lutnik, that was not Jim Simons.
Yeah.
It was not Jim Simons.
So I'm glad I remembered that.
I do want to issue that correction as well.
When we see stuff like that, thank you to you guys for pointing it out.
That's why you're there as well.
You know, when we say something's pure spec, we're saying pure spec. And like that, that kind of takes
care of itself because that means I don't fucking know. Like, we're looking at this interestingly.
But with something like that where I was like, oh, shit, wow, that's the same guy.
Because we were Googling it in real time. It was not. So different Jim Simons. I guess RIP.
Renaissance capitals actually linked to Russia instead.
Yeah, that's enough. Yeah. I've had enough of that. But that said, everyone go follow at Joey Deef on Instagram.
At Toc Malone on Twitter.
Great follow over there.
We didn't get to your tweet today, so we'll do that next week
because that was a great fucking tweet.
But, you know, we got a fucking movie to make next month.
We do.
We'll be talking about that on some podcasts and stuff.
Don't work.
Definitely.
But Joy D's been working his ass off on that.
I'm really excited to see that thing come together.
