either one of those in a giveaway so make sure you join us there but let's get into this week's
episode and we need to start with speaking of decorating for christmas it is already the ninth on
the day we're recording this so if you're watching this it's even later hopefully by then
i have decorated for christmas but as of right now that has not happened yet i wouldn't say it
hasn't happened you do have a tree up it's naked and that's something that i really want to talk about
because i'm starting to feel and maybe once elliott's a little bit older i will have a little bit more
time on my hands but right now it is very hard to get things done um and i am kind of feeling
correct me if i'm wrong but like a naked tree might not be that bad no honestly i considered
leaving our tree bare.
I honestly didn't even know if we were going to get a tree this year.
It's our first time in our house, though, I really did want a tree.
So Brian and I got one.
I want to say the day after how, like literally, the Saturday after Halloween,
we went to Home Depot, we got our tree, we got a twinkly one.
I was very, very thrilled about it.
Well, I remember this because it was a little controversial at the time.
I was judging you, but now I'm like, I kind of get it because I definitely had more time than
than now because I also didn't start shopping for Christmas gifts either so now I have to
like try to do that and it's Elliot's first Christmas so I have like so many things I want to do
with him right for the season so I'm like do I decorate or do I do the actual activities with him or do I
you know there's just so many things but I ended up actually getting the viral Christmas tree as
well which I was kind of like I don't want to say against it but I was like really we're against
Against it. You were not in full support of my tree when I got it. No, it's so worth it. And I'm going to tell you why. Because it ended up actually saving me time in the end. Because you guys, if you have not seen the viral Christmas tree from Home Depot, you need to go look it up because it looks really nice and that's fine. But let me tell you what you really need to know. It's already fluffed out. Yep. So you don't have to fluff it. You know when you put your
tree up and then like not only now are you just like oh my gosh i have to put up all these
decorations and like you know if you're anything like us you have to perfectly space them out
correctly and everything and then that's a whole mindful task that you just don't have time for
but then now you got to fluff every single branch out and it hurts it hurts your hands
i saw somebody post online um they were like here's my link to like the gloves i wore while i fluffed my
tree and I considered getting them after we got our first tree because I'm like it's going to suck
like fluffing this tree out and then we set it up and by we I mean Brian assembled the tree
thank you Brian and then I was like well we're going to have to fluff it and I look like I go looks pretty
fluffy to me no literally same thing Evan was not happy because let me explain the the story a little
bit so we have had a balsam hill tree for like four years almost like when we moved to this new house
we got one because we wanted like a really tall um treaks now we had like taller ceilings in our living
room and i was so excited to get a tree so i'm like let's get we didn't do it the first year but we did
it the second year i was like we have to do it this year it's so worth it so we splurged on the balsam hill
tree and we were so excited about it and literally i don't know what happened but by last year
so I literally I think we only had it for like three years and it's not under warranty anymore
I did check um because they come with like a warranty um it started flickering and truthfully
last year and I'm talking stranger things the the Dementor things are coming not Dementors
I'm thinking of hair about it whatever demigorgans are coming flickering like so noticeable
is hard to even relax at night and watch TV because it would
flicker so bad and so I didn't really care though I was just busy last year pregnant
and I was like whatever we'll deal with it later come this year I still kind of had the
mentality I had Evan set the whole thing up and then we actually had an electrician come look at
it which is kind of wild but it's kind of worth it because they're so expensive I need hold on
so is a balsamal hill tree is that a brand yes it's like the ones that are supposed to be real touch so you know how on the one you got the branches at the end at the end the ones you can really see are like the plasticy really like real looking but then when you go further into the tree it's like the original ones that we would have when we were younger yeah the really plasticy freely don't mind me i just have to keep adjusting the way no problem
I wasn't even I was not touching his hitting the top of my friend go on go on with your balsamal um
listen so these ones actually at the Thanksgiving Lions game they were sponsoring were they were the sponsor for
the game they were one of them and so anyways they're supposed to be the most realistic looking
tree that you can get and they look very nice don't get me wrong I loved our tree but you
do have to fluff it a lot. And simply for that fact, I was happy to switch. But I will also say
that this year I was chatchy-b-teeing, like the flickering situation, because after the
electrician came, the tree was still flickering. And I was explaining, like, all the details
of the flickering. And basically, no, but that did cross my mind. That you need to get
rid of the tree immediately. It's a fire hazard. This and that.
And so I was fine with, I guess, risking our lives last year.
I didn't really look into it fully.
But this year, with Elliott in the home, we were not taking any chances.
So we got rid of that one.
And then we have a smaller one too.
So Evan tried to put that one in its place.
And it looked so like just naked, even more naked because I probably won't decorate it than before.
and I was like, let's just do some investigating about this viral tree.
And so I go on the Home Depot website, and it's showing sold out, sold out, sold out.
So I start chatting with the bot on the website.
Oh, you chatted with the bot?
Yeah.
And honestly, I will say their bot was terrible.
Oh, I thought you would say so kind, best bot out there.
No.
They started giving me the store numbers of where it was in stock.
but then it wouldn't tell me what store they were so I'm like staying there trying to figure out
what store it is 52837 is yeah so I'm like what the hell so I end up finding it and it's not that far so I'm
like this has got to be a fluke situation we go there the next morning like as soon as Home Depot opens
and there was one just on a rollaway cart already ready did someone return it maybe I feel like somebody
returned it nice so anyways long story short we got the tree it doesn't need to be fluffed it looks
very pretty as it is it twinkles that's the best feature there's so many lighting parts of it and at this
point i'm like for decoration let's just keep changing the lights you know what i mean like that's enough
i genuinely wasn't going to put any ornaments on our tree um but my mom got us a bunch of ornaments
so you're like i was like we should put these up they're very nice i was just like i don't
Because I hadn't, like, really decided on, like, what's our theme?
Like, what are we going to go for?
It's not going to matter because truthfully, too, that's what I do every year is I get sucked into whatever theme is trending.
And then I'm like, well, I don't want to use those.
I end up not doing it, though.
Like, I never end up having the time when it's like this season.
So I just always end up using it.
But I get sucked into like, oh, should I wait?
Yeah.
And get the bulbs and stuff.
But anyways, I don't know what's worse.
do people leave up their tree all year round?
Because I know that some people have talked about that.
I couldn't do that.
But the bear tree, I support it.
Let's start that as a trend, please.
It's honestly, honestly, our tree looks great with the ornaments.
But it was, like, pretty just, like, in its own glory.
What, you know, I think was fun with what, which I can't speak,
with what we did was we left the tree bare, like, all through November,
and then decorated in December.
Right before December.
Yeah, we decorated it.
Okay, well, that's like a fun thing if you decorate early that maybe you could try.
Yeah.
But it wasn't really my fault for not having decorated yet because we're busy.
We just traveled to our destination wedding and it was in Florida.
This was Elliot's first time on a plane.
Oh, my goodness.
And how did he do?
I wasn't on that exact plane, but I heard good things.
No.
Yeah, the ride there was great.
The ride home was not so great.
But I won't blame him.
No, it's never.
nothing in this world is ever
Elliot's fault. Well, he is a baby, but
it's still not his fault because
we got delayed on the way there
and on the way back. So
if things would have worked out
to our normal, like, schedule, I think
he would have been perfect. But it was
getting way late in the day.
Yeah. And he was overtired.
So I was definitely the person
standing in the aisle trying to like
pace around with him
so that he didn't cry.
what I will say traveling with kids
if you get stressed that there's baby crying
the mom is a million times more stress than you
so please don't react out loud
there was like one couple that I was like
they're definitely getting pissed
judging not judging but like I could tell
they were getting like pissed they were like
it was a later flight so they were definitely
trying to like sleep and stuff
but whatever
literally so ended up being fine
but the other thing I will say that I've learned that I really obviously we all care about delays
they suck and specifically this weekend while we were traveling actually Delta was having
issues with our airport in Detroit specifically so like everything was getting delayed
and I just will say that I do care about them but never have I cared more and I was genuinely
ready to be a Karen because just having the baby, I have now learned my lesson. But at the time,
I did not pack enough supplies in the diaper bag to really withstand that long of a delay. Like,
I had buffered for maybe like an hour or two, but not, you know, whatever we were about to go through.
You were there for like a minute. It ended up not being that bad. But in the moment,
my panic and sheer anxiety of like oh my gosh if i don't have enough supplies what are we doing
yeah we're going to have to not get on the slate we're going to have to leave the airport um
so that almost turned me into a karen and then the second thing on this trip that almost did
was we get to the hotel and this specific hotel in florida we won't name names we won't name
names but are located right next door to a very loud club bar that goes until like three in the
morning so much so that they give you if you're in specific rooms had earplugs and a noise
machine to cancel out the noise of that bar that was our room yeah before I even got there
because we roomed with our friend Tracy and Phil and I was driving up there and
from Orlando that came from Disney and she sent me a picture she was like just know our room came
with a noise machine and headphones because it's so loud and I was like that you're joking like
this can't be real truthfully again like I would not normally care about that obviously it's
inconvenient but I would probably not say anything I travel with a noise machine myself anyway so
I don't really care we had that thing cranked to a hundred it was so bad yeah because I
wasn't even in one of those rooms but our room was also still so loud at night i remember the first
night like we had on two sound machines because i brought two sound machines and then you could still
literally like feel the vibrations thumping the room it was wild and again like i said like normally
i am not a karen but in this scenario with the baby being there i was already so nervous because
this was his first time really going somewhere that far and like sleeping in a pack and play
and I was just like he's basically on the ground in the pack and play it's got to be just bumping off the
ground oh my that was just all I was picturing so yeah I'm just starting to think like it's okay
to be a Karen once you have kids because that's how I felt that was what we were really going
through other than that very smooth beautiful weekend traveling um
We were talking a little bit on the bonus content about the wedding in general.
My gosh. Beautiful wedding.
So perfect. Just great experience.
We were saying this is kind of just a random topic, but like, what do people drink at weddings anymore?
Yes, no, because I genuinely, I guess I just don't do well with an open bar.
And I say that meaning like I'm the type of person when I like go to dinner.
I do like a wine, but also I like a freely drink,
like an apparel spritz or something of that nature.
And I feel like, yes, a lot of wet.
And this wedding actually had a lot of signature cocktails.
So there was some options.
But at weddings where they have like maybe a signature cocktail during cocktail hour
and then it's just like open bar,
what do people order that's like delicious and like enjoyable to drink?
Because I can't drink like vodka.
water. I just, I simply can't. It's not enjoyable for me. Agreed. And I felt a little pressure to pick
the right age appropriate drink if that exists. I don't know if other people feel this way,
but I feel that certain drinks, if somebody orders them, I'm like, you're a college person. They're
like a vodka water. Like, yeah, like vodka soda line. Like it's so like. I don't like drinking vodka
soda. Honestly, if I'm drinking something, I want it to be delicious. I think pino grigio is very
delicious no see I'm against with you because I agree that it's delicious however I feel and
maybe it's just because now I really appreciate when I get out if I'm going to get out of the
house I want a drink that I can't have at home not that I'm drinking at home no that's fair
like a fancy nice drink that I'm not going to have at home a craft cocktail a craft cocktail sorts
but then you get into it at a wedding and you're like well I can't have a hunt not that you're going to have
you know what I mean you're not going to have that many of those so it's like so then what do you do
you know then you got to switch things and then it's vodka before this and no before this and you're
sicker I don't really like sugary drinks the way I used to either which I found is a problem
especially a problem in Disney World like they have a lot of really good like sugary drinks
why are you giggling thankfully most people aren't running into your issue of wanting to drink
God. Thank God for some people. But for me, it's a problem. And I will now ask, I feel like this is like
an odd thing to ask, but I'll ask like pretends. I'm like, well, is it like really sugary? And they'll tell
me no. And then it is that happened with one of the drinks that I had. Yeah, because they're probably being
sarcastic because you're ordering a like apparel sprits and they're like, yeah. I don't think apparel sprites is a
I know. It's not that bad. No. I ordered some drink and she was like, well, no, this was specifically
while I was in Disney. She was like, it tastes like a pinacolada, but like not like frozen. And I was like,
okay, I can do that. Why was I thinking that wouldn't be sugary? It was so sugary. I was like,
Brian, I can't drink it. It's crazy. But that also leads me back to I was probably the only person
at this wedding. I feel like I was, I was one of two people with a child. And I was the only one
who got ID'd at the wedding. Oh, yeah. And this key.
It keeps happening to me and I know people are like take it as a compliment take it as a compliment are you bringing this up to get more compliments no it's starting to actually piss me off because like you know what I'm saying though but I just to let the group why would I have my ID in this scenario like why would I have yeah that's scenario I didn't even have it like I had a wedding I typically don't have my ID with me when I go up to the bar because I will leave my purse like at my at my seat at my person but
same the phone case that I was using the phone case I used to travel I keep my ID my credit card
in yeah I so I had it so I didn't have mine like with me I was about to go walk back and get it but I literally
was like to the guy I'm like are you are you actually being serious like I'm looking around me and there's
so many people who I didn't get ID yeah like there's no reason there and there were people that
that were younger than us there are people that I know they're definitively correct are younger they're
still above the age of 21. Correct. But like, we are going to be in the next few weeks or so
30 years old. That's genuinely what I said. I looked at this guy dead in the eyes ago. Are you being
serious? And he goes, well, I'm a bartender and I have to ID people. And I literally looked around.
I started looking around. I'm like, no, wait, you're being serious. I haven't seen you ID anyone else.
no i go i'm 30 i'm about to be 30 he was like all right like he ended up doing it but like he
was so sketched out i'm like dude i don't know maybe it was just bad luck because my mirror
broke in my suitcase that's actually a tragedy at least wait was it wait was it on the way
there or was it on the way home on the way home okay thank god because the lighting was so bad
in the bathrooms at that hotel no i had it for that thankfully and i was
wouldn't have been able to do my makeup if I didn't.
But in that scenario, isn't my fault?
Like, it's my mirror.
So is it my bad luck?
But, like, whoever broke it that was showing in my suitcase around.
It's not your bad luck.
We need good luck right now.
But they don't even know they did it.
And that's what's messed up.
Karma's coming for them hard.
Yeah, and they don't even know.
No, they don't know that they, like, committed a crime.
Pretty much.
Now I have to get a new mirror for traveling.
That's sad.
Did you have it packed between, I always packed mine between clothes?
I think that'll like...
No, thankfully, I didn't do that.
I have a bubble wrap thing from a mirror, which I'm discarding finally because I'm just over.
It takes up so much room in my suitcase.
But from a previous mirror, I kept it.
And I always put my mirror inside there and I literally tape it shut because just in case of the glass breaks.
And that's how it broke.
And it literally broke within that between clothes.
So I'm like, whoever was treating my luggage terribly.
No, they literally throw...
I don't know how they're able.
You know what actually I saw
And I witnessed for the first time ever
So I'm always terrified
This is something that I've become a caring about
And I don't mean to go on a tangent here
But so I really love my luggage
I really love my luggage
It's pink, it's cute
Is this your base?
Yes, it's my base luggage
I treat this luggage
Like it is my prize possession
So when it comes time to board the plane
I've never in my life cared about boarding the plane
like first or whatever like that doesn't really matter to me until this luggage because
I don't want my base role like my roly carry on to go under the plane because I know it will
be beat to shit yeah and I mean I do have a backup and I always keep like a luggage cover for
it in my backpack so if God forbid it has to go under the luggage like under the plane that
it will survive it'll be still be pretty but you know what I saw them do
when we were going to this is when we were coming home so they had like at the you know right before
you like get on to the plane the little bridge or whatever you want to call it they take all the
luggage there and then they like put it underneath yeah they had a slide for the luggage
yeah i've never seen the slide and i was like well that's why everyone's luggage comes so
oh no you just psh yeah i this is just a side note but this is one of those things
that people with kids annoy people without kids but you telling this story about how much you
care about this luggage i can't wait for you to have kids because you're not going to even be able
to think about your own luggage i am a person who usually i used to travel and check two large bags
i had to fit everything into one bag because elliot had so much to bring i'm surprised you didn't
just bring three bags no that i've never seen this woman i know i know travel without
no longer bags except for when we went to kentucky and we were all limited to one bag and that was
our own doing and i don't even think you followed that rule i didn't but i wasn't that bad but anytime
i travel with elliot now he has so much stuff to bring that i the care that i have for my own
belongings just dwindles and i'm like i don't care if i forget something oh well as long as he has
1000 items then we're good that's what coming a parent is all about yeah but you're not going to care
about your roller luggage bag i will until until the day that i'm with child i will also say i don't
know if anyone listening is new parents or haven't travels their baby yet or just wants to know
i also was the kind of person that was like we don't need to get on first so on the way there oh yeah
you learned that we got on last and what i've learned is the only bad
thing is you're standing on the jet bridge thing for a while for a while if you do that and
maybe you don't care but for me I was profusely sweating trying to hold like the diaper bag
elliot and then Evan had like another bag of his and then like a rolly thing so we had so much stuff
and I'm holding Elliott and this and I'm just sweating and so I was like on the way home we're boarding
first so if there's i don't know maybe that's controversial to some people i've seen online like
board last so they're not on the plane for as long as long but like dude i would have switched that for
just like rather bet in your seat to sit in the sea settled yeah because that was a whole hassle um
but some more bad luck that happened this week and this is finally not relating to us um
i randomly saw this on ticot and i don't get to scroll very much so there's
going to be some segments in the future of this podcast where Brittany has to catch me up on what's
happening because I don't scroll as much as I used to but I saw that McKenna Grace, which if you
don't know who that is, she's in a movie, the new Five Nights at Freddy's two coming out with
Josh Hutcherson. And so they're on a red carpet doing some press for this movie and the interviewer
brings up to her like, oh yeah, you used to make fan edits of your.
co-star Joss Hutcherson and she was like yeah okay like I don't know why are you saying this and they
basically like oh yeah we told him yep they sure did and she panics and I was actually like I why did
this guy expose her first of all dude it's you know it's because she's going to be in the new
hunker games prequel really so like that was kind of I feel like the connection because like well
they are co-stars so that in itself but she's going to be in the prequel coming out next
November and so they were kind of like relating like used to make like hunger games and now you're
going to be in the hunger games but it seemed like he had no clue and he was kind of like oh okay
because like they're professionals also at the same time so it's kind of just like an embarrassing thing
and it was funny because it kept being like people who were talking about it were like imagine you
get famous one day like all the things you've said online about people and then now they know who you are
and it made me think about this podcast.
We've said a lot of things about a lot of people,
and I fear, like, we fly under, like,
just under the radar of, like, anyone with a lot.
And I don't think people realize how much we've said
and can get away with.
No, and thankfully.
Including ourselves, because, like, we just keep doing it,
knowing that this is going out to people.
This one day could happen to us.
And my biggest fear right now is that this
could happen to us with Tom Brady.
No, because he's easily like target number one.
Like, he's been enemy number one up with this podcast.
He has no clue, but like, no.
Let's just say one day manifesting here, we do something with the NFL.
Oh, my gosh.
Yeah.
And then it gets brought up that like, easily could.
Tom Brady, what do you have to say about this?
And I'd say, I don't know.
I don't know.
Nice.
No, yeah, we've talked a lot of crap about him.
I could name another man in the NFL that we also have talked a lot of crap about.
Mr. Joe Burrell, but we won't go there.
But no, also back to this five nights at Friday's thing.
Oh, yeah.
I don't really know much about this movie.
I just know it's supposed to be kind of scary.
Yeah, I didn't see the first one.
I don't know.
I think it would freak me out a lot.
It's like animatronics, I think, are possessed and evil, but that's besides the point.
The point here is, I don't know if this is a common thing.
but I cannot watch scary movies anymore since becoming a mom.
I can't.
I don't know what it is.
Yeah, I don't know what it is about it.
Well, partly I'll tell you one thing that does freak me out, anything with like ghosts
or anything, anytime I have to get up in the middle of the night, if it's at like three
in the morning and he wakes up, I'm like, who woke him up in his room?
Is it a ghost?
And I'm terrified to go in there.
But then if it's also, if it's anything else,
like we turned on some movie called like weapons or something recently and we thought it was
going to be like about aliens so we're not thinking anything up right put it on and all of a sudden
10 minutes in there's this creepy ass scene where this little boy is sitting in a room like all creepy
smiling nope nope nope every time i would get i immediately when that scene came on i turned off the movie
i'm like why would you tell us to watch this and we didn't watch it any longer but it didn't matter
because that image was burned into my mind so every time i got up in the middle of the night
I just pictured that little boy.
And I was like, this is terrifying.
Yeah.
I'm scared.
No, I was going to say, sometimes, like, if Elliot wakes up in the night,
obviously I look at the monitor to see, like, what he's doing.
Like, is he, like, actually upset?
Or, like, is he just kind of chilling?
What's going on?
And because I feel like, I fear.
I hear every breath he takes.
And then I look at the thing.
And sometimes he'll just be staring into the monitor.
And it, like, will.
last way too long and I'm like, sir, I'm not coming in there until you need me because you're
freaking me out. So, yeah, I can no longer watch scary movies and I don't know if that's a thing
that happens. That's common, but I don't know, but. Welcome to the club. Apparently. I don't
watch scary movies. Well, that movie, the Five Nights at Freddy thing, I feel like has a cult
following. It does. It's like niche. It wasn't our time. No. You know what I mean? Speaking of,
cult following what is our time stranger things season five is out it is and i will say i will
preface it with this i've never watched a full episode of stranger things because i tried to watch
like when season one came out i tried to watch an episode of yes an episode and i got really really
scared however i watch hella fan edits of stranger things on tic-tac a little bit so like
Like, I've, like, seen, like, some clips I've seen multiple times because I watch them
every time I see them.
But I'm not really, like, I don't know what the plot is.
I just know, like, those scenes.
I think I might watch it soon.
And then just watch, like, everything.
This is one of those things that I wouldn't have been able to watch.
It's too scary if I would have been at the beginning.
Yeah.
To, like, watch now.
Yeah.
Because, like, it is a little bit scary.
But since I, like, know the characters when I see them now, I'm not, like,
as scared of them or anything like I don't get scared of it but they did a holiday release schedule
with this season which was kind of weird I've never really seen a show do that so the first part of
it came out on Thanksgiving the second part is coming out on Christmas and then the final like the
finale is coming out on New Year's Eve yeah which does kind of in a way suck because I know like
I won't be watching it on those days like we have family stuff going on so like I have to try to
avoid which the spoilers that are not that hard for me now but I do get nervous like anytime I do
open my phone I'm like I don't want to know what happened so it is kind of weird to do that but like
I guess I get it because people are at home like chill yeah so they're thinking it's a prime time for
everybody watch it watch or like tune in but I was thinking I saw somebody make a TikTok so you
don't really know about this but basically if the psychic bad guy psych he's psychic psychic yeah his name is
if he takes you
you go into like the psychic world
and in the real world you're in a coma
like Sadie Sink when she has the
headphones on. That's exactly what it is. I've seen that clip of her rising to the
sky and if you play
her favorite song it like brings her back to reality and she can kind of
like find a loophole to get back to
reality and come back to her body
and I was just thinking somebody put like
on TikTok they were like what song would bring
bring you back and I feel like for years I knew right away it's UCLA yeah which is so specific
it's very specific it's an oddly specific song but I fear it is your song it is anytime that song comes
on I'm like Britney where's Britney yes you need to be here for this um and for me personally I couldn't
pinpoint one no I feel like there's like a multitude of songs that like like are kind of like I feel like
songs that me you and Tracy really like like tap in like we have our little like
thing so like I would say like that would be one that might bring us all back I was trying to
think any song that when it comes on and you know all the lyrics and you have to sing them all
that would be mine might wouldn't be like an enjoyment song I'd be like oh my gosh I have to say
every word to the song like the spins by Mac Miller like that could be one last week
Confessions part too yeah absolutely anything from like the 2000 any of those I was even thinking
a super bass like i have to say every word yeah that would be a good like you know what i mean like
it's one of those that really just gets you but um family affair true i do i do like that one
karaoke that's my karaoke song it's been a minute but yeah so i feel like those any of those
songs would bring us back from the dead um but what's really bringing me personally back from the
dead right now is in fantasy football which you guys finally
We did fantasy football this year.
We did.
We've talked enough about football on this podcast.
And finally, this year was the year when I had the least amount of time that we decided to start a fantasy football league.
We did.
And I will say that preface explains why for the first four weeks I lost straight.
You did.
But I didn't realize you had to edit your team every week, which I know.
I fear I did not.
know you were going through that yeah but i figured it out and anyways now what really matters in the
end is i will be in the playoffs in my league which is a really great thing because um when we drafted way
back in the summer um you came over my house for the draft and brian was kindly assisting us both
with our drafts we'll say assisting lightly he kept being like well what do you think how do you
feel i don't know if you guys have ever done a fantasy draft but truly i don't watch football regularly
besides the lions so like it's very hard for me to know any of the other players so in my mind i'm
like i'm just going to try to get every lion's player on my fantasy team i think that was all of our
plans it doesn't work out that way when every girl that's on our fantasy team is trying to do the same
thing so you kind of just have to pick random players that you don't know yes and that's even
worse because i had first pick and i didn't know what i was doing no you got gibbs that was i got
st brown and i was very happy about that but brian kept just being like we would look at him and
be like okay do you know anything about this guy like mcconkey he's on my team um i go i thought
you just made that name up heavy he's been doing great he's been doing great conkey
and Brian's like just do what you feel do you like his name do what you feel do you like the colors he's like I was like Brian this is not helpful at all true and guess what my team did shit and I don't blame him but I blame him a little bit because I'm not going to blame myself yeah I would blame him yeah and I know well it was funny because and thankfully Evan wasn't available to help me because he was putting Elliot to bed so I literally I literally
literally asked one request by the way there's how many of us 12 of us 10 10 of us I think there's 10 of us
there's 10 girls like that was the minimum we needed to do a fantasy team and we did that do that and we
were trying to get everyone's schedules and if you know it's impossible to get everyone's schedules
to align for an hour everyone's throwing out crazy things like I can't do Sunday Monday Tuesday
I can't do Saturday Sunday like just crazy
like restrictions around the schedule i say one request i hope tracy listens to this i she's not going
i don't i fear she's never listened to us i say one request i say the only request is can we not do
like 7 p.m because that's when elliott goes to bed and like i want to put him to bed i get a text on the
side it's going to be at 7 p.m i'm like perfect yes tracy's our um our fearless league manager
our fearless leader and she chooses that time so I'm like oh perfect so I went to
Brittany is thinking like okay well at least Brian will maybe be there to help since
Evan's going to be putting Elliott down and like won't be able to help me and I fear that I was
dead wrong about that but yeah no he just wanted us to like go with our go with our gut
and I don't think that was good advice that's not existent in this world the good thing is
he won't listen to this truly um no but we've missed a lot
lot of football talk so we'll be almost back right in time for the playoffs and we'll be talking
about that here as long as the lions are in and the chiefs don't go to the super bowl yep that's as
long as we'll be talking about it um if those things um are not true i um can't promise we'll talk
no promises there maybe just go back to being just pop culture and not a sports podcast like we
strive to be and that's about that yeah um but we also need to get back to the shady stories so
we are going to make a new form it's going to be linked in the description for people to write in
their shady stories for this season also i was thinking about it and i feel like you could kind
of we could do shady stories we could do mom confessions a little bit um um if you're just really
upset about something shitty that happened to you we wanted to
talk about it all we'll talk about we'll talk about almost anything submit your shady stories
anonymously in that link and we will see you guys the next one hi everyone bye
