Starting point is 00:00:03 Hello and welcome back to the podcast and officially happy fall y'all. Woo! Speaking of, we did some fun content for the Patreon bonus content this week. So if you want to see that, go join the Patreon. We did our first trip of the season to Spirit Halloween. Sure did. And took the Patreon members along. So if you would like to be a part of that experience, it was rather exciting.
Starting point is 00:00:28 It was a little spooky, a little too spooky for my liking. Agreed. But you'll see our reaction to all of that on the Patreon if you want to see that. In other news, what else was spooky is we played the bills this week. And things were looking real spooky in the first few minutes there. The first few minutes were really hard for me to watch. I'll be honest. I wasn't fully locked in at that point.
Starting point is 00:00:55 I think that was the problem. But by the end of the game, it ended up being not that bad of an F. Yes, I thought it was going to be. It was looking like, it was looking scary. It was, I don't even know how else to say it. I mean, Brittany's text to me and Evans react. So I was getting some things together for the podcast, actually. And I was listening to Evans' reactions and Britney's text kept popping up on my screen and I'm like, I don't even want to look up.
Starting point is 00:01:25 I don't even want to look up. So, yeah, we will move on from that. But something positive didn't come out of that. We played Josh Allen. We did. Big booty quarterback. Dude, I did not know that this was a common name for him. It's not.
Starting point is 00:01:42 It always comes back to Tom Brady. It's probably so niche and like probably exposed to something about my FYP on TikTok. Yeah. But that's fair. It's probably because my phone always hears us talk about Tom. And it popped up. We're on a first name basis now. I don't know if you caught that.
Starting point is 00:02:00 I don't know if you caught that. I don't know if you caught that. that. I don't know if he would call it that. But so it came up on my thing at the beginning of the season like probably two weeks ago. It was Tom Brady announcing and he was like, and there goes Josh Allen getting in there and he pauses. Like he had time to think about what he was going to say. And he was like big booty quarterback. Bro, it's as if. And it's just so out of pocket. But like, If somebody dared him to do it and, like, he had to, like, think about if he was going to do it or not. I actually feel like it's so, I feel like I know him.
Starting point is 00:02:38 It's so Tom Brady to say that. No, it is. I feel like Josh Allen would laugh. No, he would love it. The best part is, too. So I guess he was also miced up without knowing it. And it popped up on my TikTok. I saw this as well.
Starting point is 00:02:53 Where he, they don't tell him when they mic him up. And he didn't know he was. was so like the ref said something to him and was like oh you're miced up right and he was like what no I am and like totally panicked and started like looking on him he's like do you see a mic anyway because I guess if he's miced up he says he acts weird or different so he doesn't like it so fair honestly though it got me thinking like first of all that's obviously anyone with a mic in their face actually I don't know some people with the podcast you're like you're you know you're on a podcast You know you're talking to other people on the internet, right?
Starting point is 00:03:30 Like, they're not filtered enough almost. But I feel like for us, we're on the opposite end of the spectrum, we're like, we won't say things that we would normally say or do things we normally do. And that's most people. Right. But I guess for him, it's literally to the point where they're hiding it. No, but I want to know, okay, how are they hiding the mic? And that's what everyone was talking about.
Starting point is 00:03:54 I guess it's like a thing. There's a whole Reddit thread of, like, people talking. about how they hide it. Yeah. I mean, maybe it's like, it's on his like shoulder pads. Do I like, I don't know, blew it in there before he puts them on? It's got to be because he can't be doing it like while his pads are, I don't know. I don't know, but it did kind of get me thinking. I feel like just in general when you know you're being perceived, it's normal to act differently. I hate feeling perceived. But one thing I was thinking about was actually, we had a baby shower this weekend. And I fear that I do this at like a lot of really large events.
Starting point is 00:04:30 Okay. I don't, I do not thrive in those environments. I thrive in an environment where there's like maybe 10 people max. Yeah. Like six to 10 people, I thrive. Same. Can talk to enough people and get along with the group enough where like you feel like you're included still.
Starting point is 00:04:46 It's not too big. We're just like awkwardly trying to get into a conversation with everyone. Like everyone can hear each other. I know where you're going with this. And I feel like every time I'm in a shower specifically or like it's usually some type a shower, but just in general, I feel like I am being perceived to a level that, like, I also don't know how to engage because there's so many people. Yeah. And I will just be like, and I don't know if I look this way, but in my head, I'm like, people are looking at you thinking you're not
Starting point is 00:05:15 having a good time because I don't know where to look or who to talk to. So I'm kind of just like to myself, even though like my friends are there. Right. But there's so many different conversations going on. I feel like, kind of like the before and the after. Like, I feel like maybe you don't feel this way when we're sitting at the table conversing or is it at the table. It's sometimes a little bit at the table. At a table, but like it's specifically when you're first like arriving and there's already conversations happening and you're like trying to say hi.
Starting point is 00:05:43 But then you're just like, do I jump in this conversation or do I need to go say hi to more? I don't know. It's in my head and I'm like everybody saw me walk in. So they're going to think I'm rude if I don't act a certain way, but I don't know how to act. because I think there's too many people perceiving me. No, I totally agree because I feel like we've had a lot of showers lately and we're continuing to have a lot of showers. And we know a decent amount of people at each of these showers.
Starting point is 00:06:11 So I think it's almost like you get there and you're immediately like overwhelmed with like, okay, what do I do? I feel like I always have like a little bit of a route in my head. Well, one, I feel like nine times out of ten, I'm texting somebody. I'm coordinating with someone I'm walking in with a partner. Right. It was you at this last one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:30 That helps. And then it's like, okay, now we're holding, we're holding in this case our diapers for diaper or diaper. That's the first thing we do. We identify where do those go? Correct. Place them. But I just feel like in general there is.
Starting point is 00:06:44 No, you got to have a plan or else you get in your head with it. I'm being perceived. No matter what, even when I'm doing the plan and I'm going through the motions, I'm like, people think I'm not having fun because like I'm not being that out. going when I'm in a group with six to ten people and I'm saying that because I like if it's four people you're like chilling like if it's us for we're just we're in our sweats we're watching TV no one needs to talk to anyone out doesn't matter but if there's like six to ten people we're having fun we're doing an activity or something it's enough to like get in a group conversation and it not be too big and like we're all doing the same and everyone feels included and it's not weird I thrive but then we get past that threshold cold and it starts to get. And I just start being like, where do I go? Who do I speak to? Right. And then, or do I look, or do I look pissed? Because, like, also I will just kind of go into my own like, okay, like, I'm just kind of sitting there. And then I'm like, people think I'm having a bad time. See, I avoid mixing and mingling
Starting point is 00:07:44 like the plague. That's why I have my little route plan of things I need to do. Then you go to your table. Then once table's been identified, you get a drink. And then at one point in there, you find your best opportunity to see the people that are like we're celebrating posting yeah and then you latch on to somebody and you have a swim buddy yeah but no it's tough it's not eat i don't know mixing and mingling is intimidating it is when the group's too big but that was one thing or i was like i this is an area where i can really where i just sometimes you don't want to be know that you're being percy correct and once you know then you just get weird and then i literally that's how i felt i was just like, and this is not like a new thing.
Starting point is 00:08:26 This has always been my thing. But I specifically remember feeling like, oh my gosh, I know that like this is, I don't know, an event where like everyone's supposed to be mixing me. If I'm not doing that, then people are like, oh. But yeah, interesting. We relate to you. We do. Josh Allen.
Starting point is 00:08:47 We do, Josh. But more in public figures being relatable. Allegedly this week. The internet was up in flames because Channing Tatum supposedly had a burner account. And everybody thought that they found his burner account called Nunya Bidness. And it was... Really great name. And they were commenting on things from Dumois.
Starting point is 00:09:14 Am I saying that right? Dumois. Yeah, that's how I would say it. They were commenting on things specifically related to like Harry Styles, Zoe Kravitz, mentioning like Zoe Kravitz ex-fiance, which was Channing Tatum. And a lot of the stuff had to do with revolving around Channing Tatum in some kind of way. Like, and everybody thought like this is his burner account because he was following it. And that was like the only account following.
Starting point is 00:09:42 Yeah, it was a little suspicious. And so everybody's freaking out being like, we love this, which is kind of like the Shalene Woodley thing. Yeah. You never know with the internet. In one PR way, like, they'd be like, this is a crisis. But in this situation, everybody was loving it was like, wait, this is so relatable. Like, to be commenting from your burner account. Then I would have thought.
Starting point is 00:10:08 And that's what I was kind of thinking when I heard this because I just heard another story this past week. And I believe it was on a podcast, a clip came up with, you know how Sophia and Alex Cooper used to have their podcast, they had the following out, whatever. So, Fia just got married. And her best friend posted like a TikTok about whatever, the wedding. Allegedly, Alex Cooper commented on the TikTok, but then, like, quickly deleted it. Because she thought she was on her burner account. And they were thinking that she was on her, she thought she was on her burner account, but accidentally wasn't. And so, like, hurried and deleted the comment. And so it really, that situation and this situation, I'm like, oh my gosh, do that many people actually do
Starting point is 00:10:54 burner accounts? I don't have a burner account, but now it makes me kind of want one. I don't really feel like I have a need for one, but. I mean, honestly, for me, I feel like I would use it more as like, I think just to communicate with my friends without, like, having to use my main account, because like I told you, sometimes I don't even want to go on there because it's like, it is work stuff. And I'm like, yeah. Sometimes you just want to not look at that stuff.
Starting point is 00:11:18 So I feel like that is the only reason. and I would really do it, but like, I'm not a big commenter anyways. I guess maybe this would give you a space to comment without being perceived. See, and I guess I maybe in this sense, don't care about being perceived because you're a commenter. I've been known to comment on a TikTok or two. Yeah, but I think it depends on, like, what it was. I guess if we were having drama or something, like, could you see one of our friends making a burner and, like, commenting on our behalf? Because people were saying that, too.
Starting point is 00:11:49 Oh, if we were like an internet drama. In internet drama, like people make, then your friends start making burner accounts being like, our friends would definitely. We know her, she's a good person or something. We definitely have friends that would make burner accounts on our behalf and like, not that I could see myself defending us from a burner account, but like, I don't think I'm above it. Perhaps. And that's what people were saying, like, they were like, yeah, my cousin used to do this when like my ex
Starting point is 00:12:16 and whatever we're on the internet posting, my cousin would go on there and be like, he was bad to his ex or we know him in real life. That's so funny. So I feel like more people probably do have them. What would your burn an account be? I mean, I guess it would just have to be like something. Completely unrelated to anything.
Starting point is 00:12:35 But like that was the other thing. So once people actually started looking into this account, there was like old comments from the account owner referencing, like there was zodiac sign, which didn't line up with Channing Tatum. also his moms it didn't line up and everyone was like maybe it's his mom because some of the ways that like they were commenting and like talking quote unquote seemed like more like a mom might say this in defense of her son so people thought it was
Starting point is 00:13:01 them but it was there was also evidence that maybe it was previously just like a Channing Tatum fan account so that's why he was following it but then they changed it that's actually a really rational way of looking at it that they could have had a fan account before and then just wiped it to, I don't know, be anonymous. Maybe it was too hard to keep up with. I've also never ran a fan account, but people are out here doing it. I also kind of agree like, whatever, do it if you honestly. Yeah, yeah. Because I feel like, especially if you're a public figure, it's, you can't really defend yourself all the time. A lot of times you don't want to engage
Starting point is 00:13:41 or go back and forth because then people will just keep it going. Correct. So like if they think you're just a random person, they might be like, oh, this person has a good point. Like if they know it's you, then they're going to be like, stop trying to defend yourself. So for that reason, whatever, go off King. If it was him. Keep it up. Keep it up. We love it. And then this past week
Starting point is 00:14:03 there's apparently some Chloe and Scott dating. rumors and I don't know much about it I never fully watched the Kardashians or anything but I've kind of always known about this like being a rumor this has been a rumor for like forever 20 well I feel like it's been a rumor but it hasn't been that long because you have to think about um Courtney and Scott have kids so like it has to be less old than her kids right so I guess it really hasn't been that long it just feels like it feels like it feels like it's been forever and I feel it feels like it's been forever and I I feel like it's been less of a rumor and more of a like, people have just kind of like wanted them to date for some reason
Starting point is 00:14:44 because they just kind of gave up that vibe. Everybody loved their chemistry together. Yeah. Which, okay, but this is what I thought was weird. And like, would this piss you off? Because this would piss me. Like, their siblings, obviously, Courtney and Chloe are siblings. And then, like, watching back the show.
Starting point is 00:14:59 And, like, I know a lot of people who have reality TV say they don't watch it back when they're in it. But, like, if Courtney did. watch it back and see like Chloe and Scott really having this chemistry like wouldn't that piss you off yeah oh absolutely but yeah also at the same time I feel like there's been some overlap with past X's between all of them yeah so like maybe it doesn't bother them as much I don't know is Hollywood like that small where like they're running out of options here or seems a little a little wild but yeah I mean I feel like too this is some of the shady stories that we get were like
Starting point is 00:15:36 we've said this one, siblings or whatever the situation ends up dating or marrying. Yep. Or married. We've seen it. This goes back to literally see a season one stories. Yeah. Season one stories. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:52 And I feel like that's the other thing is it would, one of the things you'd have to ask was like, was it really serious? Like, were they actually like in a relationship or did your sibling just be like, I have a crush on this person? Right. Then it's like a different scale. But in this case, they have children. children together. Right. Chloe is the aunt to
Starting point is 00:16:09 Scott's children. So it's interesting. I'm very curious to see how this plays out or if we'll see anything, you know, that gives it merit to, I want to say one of, like, they have season, something crazy, like season 29, 28 or 29 coming out of Kardashians soon. That's, I haven't been keeping up and I did not mean that to be unintended but oh i don't think it's called that anymore no now i think it's just the kardashans yeah um but i here's another question is it worse if it's like a siblings ex or a best friend's ex i think
Starting point is 00:16:52 they're both pretty bad they're both so bad i mean i think the sibling tops it though because like again family holidays your children your you know whatever you all share together this is messy if this is true. I don't. I feel like it's not. I feel like it's one of those. Because as if we know them, but I feel like just through the internet,
Starting point is 00:17:12 Chloe doesn't strike me as somebody that, like, would entertain something like that. I feel like for fun and, like, as a joke, as a joke, she would do it for the show and, like, be, like, whatever thing. But I feel like I can't actually see her, like, doing it for real. Especially after all of the stuff with Tristan.
Starting point is 00:17:33 being with and again okay so Tristan cheated with her siblings friend and that was like the end of the world that was so this is like one degree worse this is way worse than that and I feel like with that being said there's no chance that that's going on also I don't you texted me about this one and I was not fully aware of this debate going on, but apparently it's a big debate online this past week. If it's wrong to bring iced coffee to a job interview. Yes. So this stems from one thing.
Starting point is 00:18:12 Now there's probably hundreds of TikToks on this topic. Or I just happen to be on iced coffee at interviews TikTok. But there was one, I want to say it was a recruiter who essentially was like, hey, I've been noticing this in my interviews like, Gen Z is showing up with iced coffees and it's not professional. Like, you shouldn't be bringing it. And now it has sparked this internet-wide debate on if it's acceptable to bring an iced coffee.
Starting point is 00:18:43 And I feel like there's a lot of opinions out there. Most of which that I've seen is, no, don't bring in ice coffee. Don't bring in, like, a drink of any kind to a professional setting. Like, but Gen Z's perspective on it is, well, then I, I can't. can't bring a nice coffee to like my desk at work. But it's different. It's different when you're showing up to do your job versus an interview, which is always slightly more of a formal setting than what your everyday work is.
Starting point is 00:19:16 Yeah. I feel like what, so I saw like one thing about it. I didn't see like. I've seen many. I feel like with the other things that we've talked about, it's like video after video. And I'm like, okay. That's how I am with ice. This came up like one time.
Starting point is 00:19:31 And I feel like the take that I saw was basically them saying that it almost looks like just another stop on your errands list. Like you're crossing off your to-do list. I'm getting coffee. I'm going to his interview. Then I'm going to do this and like whatever. It's not that important to me. But I don't know if I don't know if you could see it that way because again, like what if it was something else? What if it was like a big Stanley jug of water or like a Celsius or like.
Starting point is 00:19:58 or like, I don't know, a smoothie. Would it suddenly not look unprofessional or would it still look unprofessional? I think it would still look a little unprofessional. I mean, that's just my bit where I feel like I'm a little nervous Nelly. And if I'm going into a job interview, like, I don't want any, like, anything extra to carry on me. Like, I'm going to have, which I haven't interviewed in person. I actually don't know if I've ever had an in-person interview for a role. I think it's always been virtual.
Starting point is 00:20:28 like over Zoom over something. Well, the other thing to that is, and that just so my, in this situation, why do you even need a beverage? Are you really going to sip a beverage in front of the interviewer? No. Like, I feel like at one point in an interview, would you be like? You wouldn't. I mean, slip, slurp, slurp. But maybe some people are, but if you're in an interview, you're doing a lot of talking.
Starting point is 00:20:52 You're arguably doing 80% of the talking. Here's a good point. we don't just sit here chugging water correct i was gonna i was gonna or equate it to that it'd be like if we had like our iced coffees right here with us it would be weird for us to be continuously taking sips and even if we we've only done it i feel like for bonus content if we'd done like making cocktails or doing something right or usually we hide our beverage off frame and like only drink if we're not the one speaking during the shady stories or something because correct. Again, there's like a level of
Starting point is 00:21:28 professionalism there. So I feel like yeah, from that instance, I kind of get it just because I feel like I can't imagine just sitting there slurping something up in someone's face when they're like asking me questions. Correct. Because at that point, I mean, during most interviews you're going to be talking the whole time. The interview, so at what point are you going to just
Starting point is 00:21:49 be sipping your coffee in between like your thoughts, swirling it around? No. Yeah. And I think it's okay to get a coffee on your way to interview, but like maybe drink it before you go in, leave it in your car. Or, you know what? If the coffee, if you really want to get one that day, get it after your interview, that could be your thought as well.
Starting point is 00:22:11 It's just, it's not something I would personally do. If it wasn't iced coffee, though, if it was hot coffee, do you think people would perceive it as less unprofessional? Honestly, maybe, but. I feel like that would be a thing. Yeah, I feel like hot coffee. honestly, now that you say that hot coffee does seem more professional. Like more mature. More mature than like an iced coffee.
Starting point is 00:22:31 And I feel that society has just invented that. I think it's because maybe our generation or Gen Z or whatever you want to call it is more into the ice coffee. But also with ice coffee, like the sides of it, kind of the condensation starts happening. The ice is loud. Yeah. The ice. It's the swirling of it I think really doesn't help anything. If you came in here and started swirling it around.
Starting point is 00:22:55 If you came in here and started swirling it around, the amount of like parodies I've seen of just that are enough to make you realize what the debates about. I wouldn't do it. And I wouldn't bring a, I wouldn't bring a Stalcius. I'd be bringing the bare minimum in like my resume. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:17 I feel that there's like other things though that people could subtly do in interviews that would also make it feel unprofessional looking at. Like, what? Like, I did a little list here, but, like, sunglasses on your head. Absolutely not. Or even just having your phone, like, face up on the table or out on the table. But, like, these are things, obviously, are kind of, and I feel like this is part of it, too.
Starting point is 00:23:41 It's like a habit. It's just a habit that people do. Or, like, chewing gum. No. This kind of goes back, like, in school. You're not allowed to chew gum. I feel like I would never even think to. chew gum in an interview.
Starting point is 00:23:55 Professional situation. Well, maybe it's because, and I think this a lot, I feel like, and this may come off wrong, I feel like schools are not as formal as they once were, which I think is totally okay. Like I think about like dress code even. Like sometimes I'll see like, randomly I'll get TikToks of like literal like high schoolers
Starting point is 00:24:16 and being like so-and-so thinks you're cute. Who do you think is cute? And I'm like, what's going on? Like, how did this find its way onto my for you page? It's a while this thing. And, you know, back in our day, it was like, we couldn't even wear tank tops. Even if they were like three fingers, like shoulders were covered. That I'll be, I mean, I don't know if it still as a rule.
Starting point is 00:24:39 I guess I'm not up on the rules. Crop tops in schools. Because I was going to say, I feel like a lot of the rules were just pointed at girls. It was, and it wasn't fair. How is that a distraction? No, and it wasn't. our shoulders were just fine, but now I feel like we've gone...
Starting point is 00:24:56 To the opposite side. To the opposite side. Yeah. And I don't care what people wear. But at the same time, calling a shoulder that's not objectively not a distraction. Correct. It's just weird.
Starting point is 00:25:09 Like, why are you making a rule around that? Correct. And maybe that's Gen Z's point with the iced coffee is why are we making a rule on that? It's objectively not a shot. Well, I feel like things have changed so much too, but it's almost like that
Starting point is 00:25:25 like tattoos and piercings that back then like super used to be seen as like super not covering them off. Like if you get a tattoo you're not going to be able to job. That was like something they scared us with in school. And now it's like acceptable and like people expect it almost.
Starting point is 00:25:43 But I guess the coffee is just taking it too far. I have to talk coffee is I don't know. According to the internet, okay, let's do rapid fire. Would you hire this person? Oh, I'm scared. If they show up with Starbucks. I mean, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:26:05 I probably, I feel like, again, I feel like my answer to all of these is going to be. If they're a good candidate. If they're a good candidate, we're going to hire them. In theory. In theory, I don't, yeah, you're hired. I. Shows up 25 minutes early. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:20 Yes. Yeah, of course. Shows up exactly on time. Yeah, of course. You're not late. Swear's one time. I would still hire them. Says like constantly.
Starting point is 00:26:31 I would not. We're fired. Yeah, I would be fired. I feel like in all these situations, it's like, if you're a good candidate, you're a good candidate. What about checks their phone one? See, maybe I'm too lenient. I wouldn't, that, I feel like that would be like, I would think it was rude. if they checked a phone and it's in person.
Starting point is 00:26:52 Yeah. I might think something of it, but I don't think it would come down to a hiring decision. What if they call you the wrong name during the interview? I feel like that has like that could easily happen. Me and my leader at work. Brittany is hiring everyone. I'm hiring everyone if they're qualified.
Starting point is 00:27:10 But me and my leader at work, we frequently get called each other's names. That's fair. And we just let it go. So I feel like if it was like something like that, are you hiring these people? I think the only thing that I thought was maybe too much was checking the phone. And truthfully, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:27:31 If somebody follows you on Instagram immediately after an interview, I think I would be a little confused. I could see a LinkedIn follow, but not Instagram. Yeah, it's like they think you're friends. I mean, right after an interview would be, I would be like a little. startled. But like I do follow a lot of my co-workers on Instagram. Like yeah, yeah, after like, we've like, we've met each other and like we work together now. Basically you're hiring
Starting point is 00:28:03 I'm hiring anybody that's that's qualified, smart enough to do the job. I also, maybe I'm just a pushover. We're like I feel like I get people the benefit of the doubt too often. And in this situation like okay this is objectively speaking somebody came on the internet and said like you shouldn't show up with a coffee like are they really determining if that person's getting the job based on that i don't think they i feel like it's just too much some companies maybe but like i feel like that should not be a hiring like that's my opinion if they were late with a coffee then i would maybe like that's kind of rude correct but other than that if they are they're 10 minutes early and they have their coffee.
Starting point is 00:28:45 They're ready to go? I mean, you can think what you have to think. And like, again, it's personal opinion. Am I showing up with a coffee to an interview? No. But am I going to say, you know what? They just had the greatest interview of all time. I was so widely impressed.
Starting point is 00:28:58 They were overqualified for this rule. But you know, they had a coffee. No. I mean, maybe don't do it, but I didn't, or just don't listen to my advice. No, I agree. I agree with that. Shady. Let's get into this week's Shady Story, starting with, I think one of the most well-written engaging stories.
Starting point is 00:29:22 Really? While. Shady Story number one. I'm 19 and I applied for a job to be a phlebotomist at a hospital. When I applied for the job, I had to do a drug test. Every time I've had to pee in a cup, I would get shy to pee. So this time I over-prepared and drank three whole water bottles within an hour before my appointment. I went into my appointment and already had to use the bathroom. This was a great sign.
Starting point is 00:29:47 But like 20 minutes later, I realized that this situation could get really, really bad, really fast. I went up to the lady at the front desk and I said, hey, I really have to use the bathroom and I have to take a urine test for my appointment today. I was hoping she'd get the hint to speed up the process. She did not. She ended up telling me to wait a little longer and I was dying at that point. She finally called me back what felt like years of her explaining stuff that I didn't need to hear at all. I was bursting at the seams in anticipation of finally being able to go through the bathroom.
Starting point is 00:30:21 Well, it grew a little too much and my bladder fully gave out in their hallway directly outside of the bathroom. When I tell you a literal waterfall of urine all over the floor, there was so much I was genuinely concerned. And that's not even the worst part. The worst part was I'm being rushed into the bathroom still pissing my pants by the way And I'm apologizing and telling them that this has never happened to me before And they were just telling me it happens even though the girl literally didn't know what to do and was just as clueless as I was I'm sorry I'm laughing I'm telling you this is the best story I'm still sitting on the toilet and I ended up telling them I didn't have any extra pants
Starting point is 00:31:05 And you would think a clinic would have some something to change into, right? Wrong. So they gave me a paper gown to put over my car seeds. I then had to walk out of there with wet pants. Oh, you thought that was the end? It's not. At this point, I realized that I hadn't taken my own car to this appointment. Oh no, I took my father's car to the appointment and was so terrified that it would smell like pee when I gave it back. At this point, I've walked through the entire clinic with wet pants and smelling of pee, walked all the way back to my car, to cover my seat with the gown just enough so that the seat won't soak anything up. As I'm sitting in this car now plotting on how I'm going to make it home and change my clothes
Starting point is 00:31:45 without my family finding out this very embarrassing thing that just happened. I've thanked gods ever since that there was a Walmart about 10 minutes down the road from the clinic. I make it to the store and I walk in to buy new underwear and pants, current pants still soaked, by the way. I've now walked through two buildings with sopping wet pants. After purchasing my new clothes, I quickly decided to change in the Walmart bathroom using the bag I bought the new clothes in to store my dirty ones before getting back into my dad's car. I finally start my drive home and of course I had to tell my best friend what just happened. We were both laughing and I knew I could tell her because she wouldn't bully me for it like my family would. Finally, I make it home and immediately throw the clothes into the washer and hope nobody would notice that I came back with completely different pants on.
Starting point is 00:32:31 Now I have to explain to my family why I had to research. schedule the appointment. I made up some excuse that I ended up having to use the bathroom before the appointment because I couldn't wait and ended up not being able to get the sample, which I guess wasn't a lie. My mom then made a joke that made my skin crawl. You didn't pee your pants, did you? She said jokingly. I was like, oh, I would never. Later on, I had to call my manager to reschedule the appointment at the same building. Boy, when that day came, I was shaking from nerves because a few days prior, I just tsunamied their floors with multiple gallons of urine. I walked in and thank God it wasn't the same lady I had before.
Starting point is 00:33:10 I went through my appointment and it went well. I only drank two bottles this time. I made it home without wetting my pants and successfully got the job and I have a cute new pair of PJ pants. Definitely not my finest moment. That is hilarious. This is the case where it's like, okay, maybe, maybe knowing you have to. to do a pee test.
Starting point is 00:33:32 You can bring the ice coffee in with you while you wait and you can drink in the waiting room so you don't tsunami the floors. I'm not going to lie. This, obviously I was cracking up. When I first read it, I was like, whoever wrote this needs to come tell stories on this podcast because it's hilarious. But have you ever been in a situation? Because I've been in the situation where like, again, I've gotten in my head about,
Starting point is 00:33:57 okay, I know I have to do this test. Yes. I want to make sure I'm hydrated. But then, like, sometimes I swear, it'll take, like, 45 minutes for them to call you back at the doctors. No, it's a lot. And it's like, how are you not considering that people are here to, and have to go to the bathroom? But I've done what she's done and, like, gone up to the desk and been like, hey, I got to go to the bathroom. And, like, I can't wait any longer.
Starting point is 00:34:20 Have they given you a cup and then, like, you could just go? Usually they'll let you just go. Like, especially when you're... That's what I was thinking the whole time. Well, because, like, when you're pregnant, like, when I was pregnant with Elliot. Yeah. A lot of the appointments, they make you do it like every time, whatever. Right.
Starting point is 00:34:33 Which is like standard. And so like, especially then you can't not good at holding it anymore. So I'm just like, dude, yeah, you got to go. But like that's just how like I cannot imagine just peeing and then you're being rushed into the bathroom. Is witnessing this whole scenario. I fear that I would have just burst out laughing in the moment. Commentary of like, this has never happened before. I hope not.
Starting point is 00:35:00 Well, what else to even say at that point? I don't know if I could go back to that doctor's office afterwards. I'd be so nervous. Well, she had to for the job interview. Oh, my. But, like, this is just one of those things. It's harmless. It's funny now when you look back on it.
Starting point is 00:35:17 But I can, like, I could sense the fear in the moment. And I was like, oh, my gosh, I know where this is going. It is so tough. And it did. So funny. Great story. That is a very good story. Shady story.
Starting point is 00:35:30 Number two. I stalked ish my current fiancé and he doesn't know it. My fiance's last wife passed away a few years ago and I used to work with her around 2018 to 2020 and I had only met her husband at, I had only met her husband at the time once during a work event and never thought about him until she passed away and there was a celebration of life for her. At the celebration of life, seen him and yes will sound bad but I was like he is so hot I actually need to get to know him we officially met at the celebration of life and that was it six months after she passed he popped up in my mind and I would look up his Facebook here and there I would click like on all of the public on all the things that were public hoping to get his attention that didn't work he didn't even notice eventually he matched me on Facebook dating and I knew this was my moment that I had to officially reel him in and started talking. Now we're engaged in planning a wedding. Okay, I'm like thrown off because I didn't know Facebook dating was a thing.
Starting point is 00:36:44 I was going to bring that up as a point, but I also was just like, what kind of love stories is like love at first funeral? Like that you can't, I mean, going forward, that's your love story. I feel like you have to come up with something else. I, um, I, you're going to have to take this story to the grave.
Starting point is 00:37:07 Unfortunately. And hopefully he won't meet his new wife there. Because let me tell you. This is, I'm happy it worked out for you. It's very Taylor Swift coded. If you know the song, Mastermind,
Starting point is 00:37:20 um, I give it a listen. It seems like that is you to a T. Um, I mean, it worked out in the, end. It did. But yeah, like you said, I didn't know Facebook dating was a thing. No, I got really tripped up when I saw that. And like, I'm also just confused, is it a whole separate app or something?
Starting point is 00:37:38 I bet it's like a feature within the app. So I doesn't say, obviously, I would never see it or like look for it, but like I've never heard anyone talk about it. I've never like. I wouldn't. I mean, I guess maybe we're just not the target market. Correct. But that is, that is something. That is quite the Thank you for admitting it to us. I'm glad it worked out. Wishing you all the best. Yes. Shady story number three.
Starting point is 00:38:08 My dad won't come to my wedding because I didn't invite his new girlfriend to our engagement party. For context, they have been dating since November 2025. Our party was in August, and I've only met her one time for a very short time. My fiancé hasn't even met her, and she doesn't know us. In my opinion, it's weird that she wanted to come. and even weirder that she's mad about not being invited. My dad said I hurt him and her beyond belief, and he didn't attend the party,
Starting point is 00:38:36 and he said he won't be attending the wedding. I stand behind my decision and don't regret not inviting her. My dad is also a serial dater, so who knows how long he'll be with her, I cannot spend the rest of my life cutting her face out of my wedding picks. Period. Literally. Period.
Starting point is 00:38:53 I couldn't agree more. She did not need to be there. We've talked about this and I feel like when planning a wedding, the easiest thing to possibly do is put a timeline on like people that you're inviting. Like if I haven't talked to you or seen you in the last year, you don't need to be there. Or like if I'm not going to see you in the next year, why do you need to be there? Correct. And also if you haven't even been dating the person for a year. If I've never met you, why do you need to be there?
Starting point is 00:39:26 Yeah. It's like, if my significant other has not met you and we've been together for 10 years. Yeah. Then why do you need to be at the wedding? Yeah, I feel like this is just such an issue with like all wedding planning. Like a lot of people run into it. Yeah, it's tough. I know it's not easy.
Starting point is 00:39:44 And Travis said they invited that many people because they didn't want us to have to say no to anybody or like get into that conversation. Which I feel like that is like a point of contention for a lot of people. It is. We've heard about this in real. Sure have. So I feel that the easiest thing to do in those situations is to set a boundary, and that's the boundary. And if you want to cross it, well, don't come. Yep.
Starting point is 00:40:05 It does suck that it's your dad, though. And hopefully he'll get over this situation and realize what's actually important. But, yeah, I thought this was shady as though. It is shady. Well, we hope you also have a good wedding. I guess that's the theme of these ones a little bit. But weddings and going to the bathroom in public. Well, also that first story did kind of remind me of the pooping story that we talked about last week or the girl at the competition.
Starting point is 00:40:35 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I was like, damn, I wish I would have seen this last week. That would have been perfect. Would have been perfect. But anyways, that concludes this week's episode. If you want to join us on the Patreon bonus content for our little fall vlog, we will see you there.
Starting point is 00:40:50 If not, we'll see you the next one. Bye, everyone. Bye.
