Hello and welcome back to the podcast. This week we are going to be giving our hot takes on some
trending topics and also some hot deals on the Patreon bonus content. We're going to give a
holiday gift guide with some Black Friday deals in mind so that next week everyone can be prepared
for their holiday shopping to start. And also in the spirit of the holidays,
we actually got into it this past weekend with a little friendsgiving of our own. We
sure did. We ate food, we enjoyed each other's company. It was a lovely occasion. Yeah, it
was cute. We went downtown actually. And they Detroit already has some holiday markets up.
They have Cadillac Square going.
So we walked around there a little bit.
It's getting really cute down there.
And I think when this comes out,
this weekend is the light.
It sure is.
It's the tree lighting ceremony this weekend.
So there's gonna be tree lighting,
the ice skating rink is up,
and I think that opens up this weekend as well
They have a double decker little
Situation where you get your skate rentals and I've been told rumor has it
That the top level is gonna be like a little lounge bar situation. Oh, that'd be lovely over look at all
Have you ever tried to ice skate downtown? No, no, okay
So I have one time I did try, it was probably like five years
ago to be honest, but it was like sprinkling and it was cold so then like our clothes started freezing
and we were like okay gotta go. So before we even got onto the ice we ended up not in the situation
any longer. But we have attempted it.
I also feel like Detroit is having so many cute holiday
like pop-ups and just things going on this year.
And I feel like somebody, which could be us,
but like let's put the responsibility on somebody else,
needs to do one of those, like,
I keep seeing on TikTok those videos where it's like,
top things to do for Christmas in New York.
And like they have so many different like,
coffee places they recommend,
or like shopping they recommend.
Okay, Detroit also has-
We have all of those things.
All of the things.
So definitely, we'll be going down there
this holiday season.
Sure will.
And also we will because the Lions won again.
Hell yeah, they did.
Are we surprised?
No, literally not at all.
And they are now tied with the Chiefs
officially for the best NFL record.
And again, we saw this coming.
We knew this was going to happen.
And I just think this is where we were heading
and now we are officially being referred to
as the top Super Bowl contender.
And it's not just by us.
It's not just us this time.
It is reliable sources online.
And I mean, the lines were built for this.
They were built, they were ready.
We beat the shit out of the Jaguars,
which is a team that I have
personal beef with for no, no good reason. Just came out of nowhere.
I thought you were going to say for a good reason.
Yes and no. Yes and no.
I don't know. There's some of their players attitude just bugs me.
Oh, OK. No. Well, certain reason.
Yeah, that was an I want to say was a blowout.
I'm seeing a lot of videos which we kind of joked about it.
But like that no matter what, Dan Campbell just doesn't let up.
No, he is like it's so I've heard people say like diabolical.
And I mean, I don't know if that's like the most positive term for him.
But he is he is the term people have been saying, they're like,
you know, I just don't think Dan has it out of his head.
Like they're not the same losing team that they were.
Like they don't need to beat the shit out of everybody
once they're up by that much,
but they're out there keeping the starters in,
running trick plays when we're up.
I know, but I think we were joking about this.
Like there comes a point where like take out the good players.
Like nobody gets hurt.
And like we're not totally doing that.
And people are getting hurt.
And it's like we do have some players hurt.
So many.
And we need to stop doing that.
So maybe we stop that.
But we won't stop winning.
So there is that.
And on the topic of the NFL,
Netflix has started becoming
a live streaming service of
events and
football. Football is supposedly
going to be one of them.
They're streaming two great games on
Christmas, which everybody is
very concerned about now,
considering how
the Mike Tyson, Jake Paul fight went this past week. People are saying maybe they
should not try to get into live events and this was not their first mess up
with the live event. This was the second mess up because what reunion was it? The
Love is Blind reunion. They tried to live stream. It went terribly.
And obviously, I mean, maybe not obviously, not to be rude,
but that's going to be a less streamed thing than a fight
or a football game.
A football game is important.
And what is this?
Cheap Steelers on Christmas and Raven Texans?
Especially on Christmas, everybody's
going to have that game on.
I'm going to be wanting to watch both of those games.
Right.
And even if you're not actively watching,
they're gonna be on in every household in the background.
Absolutely.
So this needs to be considered.
And even myself, I wasn't like totally invested
in the Jake Paul, Mike Tyson fight,
like I know a lot of people really were.
I didn't watch.
I wasn't, but I did try to put it on
because I was like, I'm up, let me see what's going on.
Right.
Never worked.
Like my Netflix never came out.
So you never saw a second of that fight.
So how were people, how did people, I'll ask you this,
how did people see Mike Tyson's ass?
Well, I personally saw it on TikTok,
but supposedly he was doing an interview
in the locker room before the fight.
And before the fight? Yes, and so he thought they were done because they stopped the conversation
and he walked away and his whole butt was out so what was he wearing like I
don't even know what the term is like assless chaps I don't think that's the
right term either but it was like his whole booty cheeks were out and
Like the booty cheese people thought that maybe he thought the interview was over like they were switching the camera to something else
But it caught him walking away. Why was he wearing it in the first?
Honestly good question. I that's something that he'll have to explain himself totally but I
Don't think they were supposed to necessarily show that on Netflix
So yeah interesting people were concerned also at its highest point supposedly, but this was released by Netflix
So I don't even know how they would exactly know because people who were trying to watch couldn't watch, but they said that there was 65 million homes
tuning in at the highest point of streaming.
Which again-
I don't know if I believe that.
Me neither, because like also, how do you know?
How do you, if half the people couldn't even get in,
where are you getting, are you getting the number
from like people like me who tried to tune in
and had it loading
but never saw a single second?
Or is that only including people
who actually got to see it?
I'm not exactly sure.
Okay, no, no, no, no.
Because I'm seeing, there's no way,
there's no way that, well, you said 65 million households.
Well, I just did a quick little Google search to see how many households
in the US were watching the Super Bowl.
And that was 39 million.
You're telling me almost double that was watching this fight.
They did say that it was double what most NFL games are.
However, I don't know if they're just saying that again to cover and like make people to not freak out about the games that they're supposed to
be streaming on
Christmas could be because I think a lot of people are
Begging them not to I think them not to yes, so we shall see what happens
They only have I think like what 40 days to get their act together.
And they had a long time between the Love is Blind live reunion fail and this to get it right.
And so people did have their hopes that they would be able to stream this one live.
And now those hopes have faded.
Get a gamer on payroll. Like they they know how to stream shit, so.
I don't know if it's that easy, but yeah.
They're blaming it that 65 million homes were tuning in.
And speaking of everyone tuning in,
the Domingo from SNL, The Lore Continues,
this past Saturday, they did try to do another Domingo skit with Charlie Oxyx was the host
and musical guest on this past weekend's show.
And personally, my hot take on this was I think they had such a good thing going with
Domingo with the first skit.
And I think that this was like too much.
It was like too much.
It was like an overkill.
It was too much too soon with Domingo on SNL specifically.
I didn't think that the rendition of Hot to Go
with the letters of Domingo was my favorite.
It just didn't have that same, same umph,
that same essence that the initial Domingo song had.
Espresso, yeah.
Yeah, Espresso was really hard to beat
and it was just so well done.
I could not, I still can't get that song out of my head.
Same.
This Hot 2 Go one wasn't my jam.
I don't think it was all that great.
And I think that they could have kept a good thing with Domingo going because he did pop up at Sabrina's show on LA night one.
Yeah. So on her tour, he showed up and they did like kind of a little skit there.
Yeah. Cause she arrests someone every night of her tour, the whole thing.
Which I think that is so hilarious. I've been seeing so many videos of like people getting
arrested at her tour.
And so basically if you don't know what she does,
it's like she puts the camera on somebody in the crowd
and says they're arrested for being too good looking.
And then they give them fuzzy pink handcuffs
and then she sings to them.
And they had Domingo show up.
Which made so much sense.
That would have been perfect and I think it would have gotten way more hyped
if it weren't for...
The skit number two also happening.
Yes, skit number two didn't need to happen.
The appearance with Sabrina, great.
And then maybe we continue with Domingo in 2025,
but it was too soon.
And it just wasn't the same without Ari a part of it.
I said, it sounded like I said Ari, but Ari a part of it. I
I do agree on that one, but I do love the arrest thing that Sabrina's doing. Oh my gosh
I love just everything she does so much and I think this I saw somebody make a tic-tac saying that this is giving
Justin Bieber back in like
that this is giving Justin Bieber back in like 2012 when he was on tour, his first tour, and would sing to like one less lonely girl from the audience.
And this is a hundred percent what that gives.
I love it.
I feel like people haven't done that in a long time and like, no, she's doing a lot
of cool things at her shows just with changing up her outfits, changing up little saying it's very Taylor Swift esque
and it keeps it fun keeps it fresh for every show. But I don't think parents necessarily
appreciate what's being done.
Okay, well at this point, if you don't know what to expect when you go to the show when
every single song almost is about, like what do you expect?
Exactly, and I mean, we all heard her outros
in her last tour.
So I don't know why parents aren't doing
a little bit of research.
If you do one quick Google search,
one TikTok of Sabrina's tours,
not even from Short and Sweet,
because of course, like you don't necessarily know
what that tour is gonna be when you're buying tickets.
But if you're looking at her past performances,
there was a lot of innuendos in the Nonsense Outros,
and that's just kind of a part of her brand at this point.
It's fun, it's playful, little cheeky,
and maybe we look into that before we take our small children.
I feel like this always happens with ex Disney Channel stars.
Oh, it really does.
And then people get shocked, but it's like,
she hasn't been doing Disney Channel type things for years,
for years and years and years.
So it's like, if you're a parent
and you're genuinely concerned about an innuendo here and there,
look into it then. Like how do you not... And if your kid's already a big Sabrina fan,
what have they already seen online? Because I'm sure they've seen the nonsense outros
and videos from the tours because every single tour video I've seen of like they all go viral
about Sabrina. So before we get back to the episode, let's take a moment to thank the sponsor of
today's episode, Shopify.
When you think about businesses that are selling through the roof, like
Allo or Selena Gomez's rare beauty.
Sure.
You think about a great product, a cool brand and brilliant marketing, but an
often overlooked secret is actually the businesses behind the business making selling and for shoppers buying
simple. For millions of businesses that business is Shopify. That's why I love Shopify.

back to charliexx she besides us and all this weekend, I don't know if you saw this did a surprise show in Times Square.
She took over the whole street was green.
I think that's so cool.
It was sick.
It was literally sick.
They announced it I want to say 30 minutes before the set started and streamed it out.
Yeah, because it was part of an H&M collab.
So she did a surprise show or she did something similar in September because she signed with them to do this collaboration in August.
Very cool.
Did another show in September with them as like the sponsor and then this was again with H&M as the sponsor and 30 minutes before H&M announced that this was happening.
And yeah, she did like a 15 minute show. Was it half an hour, 15 minutes?
It was short, but it was like a surprise.
I wanna say 15 minutes.
There was 30 minutes prior that people knew about it.
But just imagine just being in Times Square
and then a concert happening.
I feel like that's the kind of shit that happens
when you're in New York.
I was gonna say, I feel like New York has that vibe
that like you just never know what you're gonna see. Right, anything at any time be this and that's what's sick about it I
love that makes me want to go back to New York yeah maybe in Christmas time and you
can experience all the Christmas things that way you can do them in Detroit but speaking But speaking of concerts, Post Malone released tour dates for 2025 and may have accidentally
confirmed that he's headlining Coachella with his first dates being in California near Coachella,
the weekend of Coachella. So now everybody's thinking that he's one of the headliners and
Coachella is relatively supposedly quiet on their social medias when it's not around time of the festival.
Right. And they came to their Instagram story and posted something cryptic, I guess it was just a palm tree.
But people were reading into it. People were really reading into this was them confirming somehow that it's posty and the lineup will be coming soon yes so
although it has not been officially announced people think that this might
spark them to announce it a little sooner than I mean which I mean yeah I
want to know I want to know yes I seen, there is speculation that it's going to be Lady Gaga, Post Malone, Green
Day and Travis Scott.
I feel like that lineup could have potential to rejuvenate Coachella because I feel like
that's something that we've been talking about the last few years that like a stage coach
knew the new Coachella.
Yeah.
Less people have been interested in the lineups at Coachella for some
reason these past few years.
But I mean, Posty, Lady Gaga.
Both both would be great performances.
Yeah, I want to know if it's true.
Like, I don't know how people get this out of the obviously the Post Malone thing.
But like Lady Gaga, I don't know where people. Yeah.
Why? I feel like I've seen her name come up a few times. It would make sense because she is putting out her album I think
in February. So it would make a lot of sense. But still like you have no idea. But I guess we shall
see. And people traveling there might get the chance to experience on a Delta airline a new collab that they're doing with Shake Shack
offering burgers to first-class passengers only.
Which I have a problem with.
Which is disappointing.
I would love to enjoy a delicious Shake Shack burger
on an airplane, but alas, my ass doesn't sit in first class.
Alas, your ass doesn't sit in first class. Oh, your ass doesn't sit there.
Yeah, well, it's the first of their kind for this kind of partnership.
So they will be testing it out December 1st.
I believe it starts throughout 2025.
And your route also has to be over 900 miles long,
which I'm trying to think of like where I would be going
that's gonna be over 900 miles.
I don't typically go that far, I fear.
I feel like Florida would be, is that over 900 miles?
I feel like California would be.
Okay, well Florida, I'm there whenever I can be, so.
You could get the chance.
But I'm not gonna be I'm just
gonna walk up there and say do you guys have any extra yeah get upgraded so yeah
this is starting I feel like it's exciting because maybe if it goes well
they'll expand they'll expand to like offering it to if you could get French
fries in that would be incredible you know the main cabin I gotta be honest like
reheating food and eating it on an airplane is never that great yeah I'm very curious to what their system is gonna be to have this
not be disgusting right right because I mean I like my little son chips they pass out a
Little coke zero here and there I feel like any reheated meat on a plane is a little bit suspicious.
Yeah.
But it could be great.
We don't know.
It's hard to say.
I'm also, I mean, I guess I don't know why I'm surprised,
but Shake Shack feels like random to me.
I did think that was a little random of a choice.
I don't know why I could have seen like.
In and out or something.
Yeah, in and out would have been sick,
but they don't have them on the East side.
I don't think.
I don't know what goes on.
I wish they had an in and out.
You know what, I don't know what's on.
I told you I was searching for an in and out
when I went to Tahoe at the airport there.
Oh yeah, they didn't have.
Yeah, we had a whole conversation.
I can't remember if it was on the podcaster probably we talked about how airports are disappointing in some places, but
This will be interesting to see I'm interested to see how it goes
I don't know exactly if I'll be getting one either
But I feel like I would do it just to try this out you would get a first class
I feel like I would do it just to try this out. You would get a first class ticket just to get the shake check. Honestly I kind of thought about it.
If it was an experiment for work like I feel like we can do we could find a moderately
priced first class ticket like just find a random place to go that's over 900
miles a random place more than 900 miles away, which. So sketchy though.
No, we should definitely. To travel on.
There should be a purpose behind it if we're gonna do it.
For us to travel, maybe.
Like we literally just fly there and back.
You know what I've always wanted to do?
This is gonna sound silly.
I've always wanted to do,
I'm gonna preface this with just anywhere
and then I'm gonna tell you specifically
where I hope to do this. is to travel somewhere like in the
morning like take the first flight out get there 9 10 a.m. and then take like
the last flight home so like you're sleeping in your bed by that night like
a one-day trip somewhere literal one day you're not even like That sounds
Probably like my worst nightmare, but where do you want to do that?
Take a guess
Where Disney world that would be so terrible. I know well and the people that I've told previously about this
You've talked about this. Yeah, no, I
Openly told probably multiple people about this.
In my head, like, I was hoping you would have said something more reasonable, like Chicago.
I mean, Chicago to Chicago or New York.
You could do New York, too.
But also you would just...
I see it on TikTok.
New York would be better, probably.
Chicago, you could drive and get there faster and home faster.
I know.
Sometimes I think to myself when I'm driving on the road, this is really...
Please don't tell me you just, like, take the wrong thing and go to Chicago. No, I think to myself when I'm driving on the road, this is really please don't tell me you just like take the wrong thing and go to Chicago.
No, I think about that.
I'm like, if I really just wanted to start driving right now,
I could be in Chicago by like X time.
I think that in my head sometimes, but I don't actually not while I'm actually
driving, you know, like when I'm probably on like the highway.
Like I thought about this on my way home from work the other day, like two days ago.
And I was like,
what if I just got on the road and went to Chicago?
And then I just drove back like the next day.
That reminds me of when we were in Chicago,
when we were on our way home.
Oh my gosh, we did do this.
Should we stay another day?
And then we literally just turned around
and stayed another day.
We took like a 20 minutes onto the highway
Not even 20 minutes off, but that was such a fun day, too. It was so fun. It was spontaneous
Yeah, but like so would be driving home from work and being like nevermind. Let me go
No, I think about that really like I could really if I wanted to get up crazy early on a Saturday, drive to Chicago,
spend a day in the city and drive home and it would be kind of tiring but it could be done and
I don't know just something the thought of just traveling somewhere for a day and being in your
own bed by that night is just it reminds me that like I do have the free will to do that.
But the end goal is to do it with Disney
because I've seen people do it on TikTok and-
But imagine that walking around all day
and then like having to go and then still be on an airplane
and then still drive home from the airport
and then still get ready for bed.
Right, but then I would have time in Disney.
Arguably.
Can you sense that I'm like having withdrawals
that I'm not going this December?
Yeah, you're highly considering this.
Interesting.
Well, maybe you will
and maybe you'll try a burger on your way.

But on the topic of burgers, this is big news.
I intended to on the topic of driving places, drive to Burger King.
Now has put out a fried pickle burger.
And not only that, but fried pickle fries.
Yes, pickle fries.
Pickle fries.
Which.
Instead of chicken fries.
I haven't had a chicken fry in, I can't tell you how long,
but the idea of going to get chicken fries
and pickle fries is very enticing.
Who's to say we don't do it after this?
Who's to say?
I mean, we could.
We have free will.
I'm just saying, what is mind blowing to me is,
and I know this isn't how it works,
but we started talking about pickles,
and then all of a sudden, everyone loves the pickles.
Has a pickle item coming out.
Like, I'm pretty sure,
Cheez-It's just put out a pickle thing.
No, they did. Obviously, Jimmy John's had their pickle witch which by the way I am wearing
Jimmy John sent me a pickle sweatsuit. Pickle sweatsuit and I'm currently
wearing it and I feel like every company has just been putting out something
related to pickles and I don't want to say we started it cuz like get over yourself, but we started it. No, we 100% started it. And guess what? It's
getting even crazier than the brands. I was going through with my mom earlier today, our
dog Corona is her toy bin. She has a lot of toys. She doesn't need all the toys. It could
go, the toys could go to other homes. Do you want to know what freaking toy we found in
this toy bin? A pickle. A pickle dog toy. And we go where did this come from? I've
seen pickle dog toys. Yeah but like why would have we ever bought Corona a pickle dog toy? Because
they're hilarious. I know but I don't love them as much as you love them. And she goes do you want
to bring it to Haley for the dogs? I go she doesn't let them play with toys like that. They get one toy.
No, they get too wild.
Yeah, no, I just feel that since we did our pickle party
and now everyone wants and it's everywhere, we started a trend.
Truly, I'm happy about it.
I am very happy about it.
Great. We should put more things like this out into the world that we want to see. I'm happy that in this case, I can eat it. I would like, um, we're,
this always happens if we talk about any kind of food. We just go on a tangent because we're
always hungry when we film. Always very hungry when we film. And it's not good for us.
But what would you like?
A cupcake.
Oh, OK.
What's my thought?
Well, I just want somewhere.
We did have at our pickle party, pickle cupcakes,
and I didn't eat one because I felt weird about it.
How was it?
It was delicious, but it wasn't pickle flavored.
It was just green.
However, I know, and I didn't have that one
because I wasn't being that adventurous. But I just don't think that there's enough places that just like I want
a Jimmy John's but for cupcakes. Like I just want like a chain restaurant where I can readily go
grab a cupcake. Girl I was so confused at what you meant. Like I thought you meant you wanted like a
cupcake sub or something. I'm like it doesn't work like that. No, no, no. Like I thought you meant you wanted like a cupcake sub or something. I'm like, it doesn't work like that.
No, no, no. Like I just want like a chain.
There are in Chicago sprinkles.
And we don't have one here.
Remember, remember when we were coming home from Lollapaloo?
We were coming home from Chicago and we passed the sprinkles vending machine.
I go, I need one of those.
And you got one. And it was the best thing I ever had yeah I do best thing you remember
that um you know where else they have that world anyways what are we talking
about now um all right well to to get into some hot topics before we get into
some shady stories I needed to bring this up because this has been on my mind and I feel like
it hasn't been as big of a topic as it needs to be. So you know like every year randomly the
government will come out with like congressional hearings about aliens and be like yeah no they're
for sure aliens. Oh no they first year are real. They say they're real. Yes, so This just happened again. Mm-hmm. And I also feel like it's always convenient timing where people are so distracted with the world
That they don't pay attention to that brush it under the rug like you're real. Bye correct
well, they just had another hearing and
they
released reviews of 757 cases from around the
world that were reported to US authorities for the last year and they
found explanations for nearly 300 of the incidents but the other ones they did not find explanations for and a lot of people
in these reports were reporting
seeing
UFOs
Above or near or in water bodies of water
So basically what they're saying is they think that they're attracted aliens are in the ocean
Basically what they're saying is they think that they're attracted to water in the ocean. And fair enough, we have so much of it undiscovered.
Correct.
So only 5% of the ocean has been charted.
The other 95% has not been.
So people are like, that would make sense.
We don't even know what's in the ocean.
So if this was going on, would we really even know?
No.
And here's the thing.
Then what, have we just been looking
in the wrong direction our whole lives?
We've been looking up into the space,
but I mean, they could be out there too.
Well, they fly still, but like basically
that's where they, when they're on earth, go.
That's where they go to.
They like, they land here and then they submerge themselves
to the depths of the ocean
and we don't know what's going on down there. Could be anything.
Exactly and I kind of feel like that makes sense to me and I also recently
found out about this theory and so it's called the time traveler
hypothesis. Awesome. And it's basically that these UFOs and aliens or whoever's
you know operating them that are coming here are actually just humans from the
future that are basically trying to figure out like and help us in some way
because like they know what's gonna happen. The aliens are time travelers of
the future? They're just humans but they obviously look different because like they know what's going to happen. The aliens are time travel. Brothers of the future.
They're just humans, but they obviously look different
because like as evolution.
Yep. Yep. And I'm following now.
So that's one theory that people are starting to wonder
if that's what's going on.
Because also think about it.
We're trying already to like get people on the moon
and get people to Mars and get people to space. And then if technology advances so much
when you travel in space the time is not the same as it is on Earth. So
technically you are time traveling in a way. It's like the astronauts we talked
about that from NASA that are in space, they like age way more rapidly
because the time is not the same here as it is there.
And so it's plausible to think.
What a word. That if humans are just
from the future coming here, that they could be.
And that's why they're not attacking us. Right.
I mean, I believe it.
The thing is, I don't know necessarily
if I believe the time traveler hypothesis.
I think it's a good hypothesis.
I agree.
But I do like, obviously all these unidentified
flying objects and multiple of the cases, by the way,
that just came out in this congressional hearing,
three of them were from military professionals where air crews reported
being followed or shadowed by unidentified aircraft and investigators
could find no evidence that it was a foreign power of any kind or anyone
else well and here's a thought I feel like we talk so much in life
and in movies and media really about time travel.
How can we talk about something so much
but for it to just not exist at all
or have any truth to it?
Right, and at some point, again,
if these crafts that are flying around
are so advanced that people cannot figure out how they operate.
Like they have been studied here.
Like pieces and remnants and things have been studied in the US for years and years and years.
You should be saying great big words. Remnants.
And they can't figure out how these things operate.
They have technology that we don't have.
So it's from the future.
Got to be from somewhere else, from potentially the future.
So it's an interesting thing going on.
But I do swear that every time this comes up,
there's so much other stuff going on.
And we're like distracted.
Why is no one talking about this?
Yeah, which I have seen people talking about.
What if the aliens are from the future? distracted. Why is no one talking about this? Yeah, which I have seen people talking about. And guess what? What?
If the aliens are from the future,
they know what's going on in our timeline.
So they know when to land
because they know when we're distracted by other shit.
Facts.
Bingo.
You nailed it.
Thank you, thank you.
But anyways, yeah, so I just had to get into that.
I have also been a little bit watching.
There's new documentaries on Netflix.
One's called like Alien Investigation.
And you watched them?
I have started them and I highly recommend to watch them.
They're very interesting.
And also, I like documentaries.
So, you know, I'm like, I'm obviously going to watch them.
You're going to watch them.
If there's a documentary, you're sat.
You're going to see it.'s a documentary, you're sat. You're gonna see it.
I'm sat.
So, yeah, but hot take.
Aliens are out there and...
What's new?
Literally.
Okay, let's get into some shady stories.
Starting with a good one, we have an update
from last week's shady story, the Ashley Madison story. So here we go
shady story number one. Hey again here's my update on the meetup with Joey's mom
from Ashley Madison and thank God you brought it up I would implode if I had
to keep this a secret for the rest of my life. So I almost didn't even go through
with it I was so nervous she was going to recognize me but ultimately I knew I
had nothing to
lose as I don't have a significant other and I am not in close contact with Joey or
those friends anymore.
Regardless, I still end up needing some liquid courage, so we meet at a bar near the hotel.
We talked and had a few drinks there, I kept it breezy and worked my charm.
It didn't seem like she recognized me at all as I no longer look like the lanky dork that I did back in the day and my numerous tattoos probably helped
out with the ruse. While she mostly stayed the same but aged like fine wine,
Joey's mom has still got it going on. We made our way to the hotel and got down
to business pretty quick. I'll spare the graphic details but it can be summed up as an
all-timer. This was not her first rodeo and it showed. She knew what she wanted and got it out
of me. I could barely keep up but I stayed strong through to the end. We didn't chat a lot after we
wrapped it up. She took a quick shower and had to take off pretty quick. I ended up staying the night in the room. Oh, I spent
most of the night awake pondering what just happened. I've had meaningless hookups with
attached women before, but knowing this lady on a personal level level kind of changed
my perspective on everything, like how I'd feel if I was her son or husband. We kept
in touch but haven't made plans to meet again. I'm still undecided about how I feel about the whole thing
It's a follow-up. We love follow-ups. Oh my gosh follow-ups are my favorite
I would say this is like
It's not that shady because she didn't really recognize. I know I really thought she was going to I know
I was right there in the camp of
She's gonna know I feel like maybe even if she did she what was she gonna? She yeah, I know you
Maybe yeah
No, I don't think she'd bring it up. This was good. Yeah, like eight out of ten easy eight at ten
number two
Hi, I have a bit of a shady story that's going on right now and I need some advice
So basically I have a group of friends and obviously there are some crushes my best friend
Let's call her Mia has a crush on one of the boys in our friend group.
He's gonna be Paul.
We've all been hyping her up for a while, but she's been unable to make the first move
and I really wanted to help her with that.
The thing is, Paul is getting really close to me and starting to flirt which makes me
fall for him as well. I'm not gonna do anything about
it though because I'm not a bitch and I would never steal my best friend's man but it's just
getting hard and I really don't know what to do. This is tough. This is a very tough situation
because obviously your friend is not interested in crush on this boy. Yeah. But if the man in the situation, Paul, isn't interested in seems to be interested in you
and you're interested in him.
Yeah, I feel like either way there's no good ending to this because like if he ends up
with her, then you kind of have these feelings now because he's been flirting with you.
Right.
If he ends up with you, then her feelings will be hurt because
she liked him. Right. But also, he's not her boyfriend. So he's not technically her man.
But we do need to respect your best friend's feelings that she has this big crush on him.
But I feel like at this point, since he's not really claimed to anyone, I feel like
the best case scenario would be to just tell her what's your honest feelings. Tell your friend your honest feelings. And then we go from there.
You kind of like him too. Yes. And I mean, I've shared crushes with friends, not real crushes.
Celebrity crushes. And those have worked out fine, but we haven't had to navigate these waters.
Yeah. I mean, obviously, if you're all like in the same friend group,
that's when it gets like it gets messy.
But I would recommend actually my recommendation.
Don't date within the friend group.
And I think that that's just something that we can all live by
and live a more pleasant, happier, more
prosperous life
from big words.
Wow.
Well, you were saying words like remnants
and I don't know what other words you were using.
So I felt inspired to say big words as well.
In a more realistic scenario,
I just feel like talk to your friend and be like,
hey, I kind of also like him too.
And at the end of the day,
you can't control who he ends up liking back.
100%.
It's not your fault.
I would say this is like, I don't know, seven out of 10.
I mean, this is real life shady.
This is happening every day in friend groups
all across America. But nothing occurred yet.
No, but maybe another situation for a follow-up. This is happening every day in friend groups all across America. But nothing occurred yet.
No, but maybe another situation for a follow up.
Yeah, please.
Yes.
Follow up with us.
Even if it's in a few months, just say,
the situation with Mia and Paul, we'll know.
We'll remember.
And we're tuned.
We're tuned.
We're sad.
We want to know what happens.
Exactly.
All right, Shady's story number three.
A few years ago, I got a job at a lash and brow salon and it worked out perfect because
I was trying to get back into the industry even though I was just going to be a receptionist.
Fast forward to when it started getting bad.
The owner started getting extremely disrespectful and she would forget to pay us, talk behind
our backs and much more.
If I really like my job, I will get comfortable,
even though I feel uncomfortable,
but after being there for so many years
and getting into multiple arguments
where we were cussing each other out on the phone
over something that is out of my control,
I knew it was time to get out.
I ended up seeking out other jobs
because I was so eager to get out of there.
I told her I had to change my availability
and she acted like she couldn't accommodate that, so I ended up quitting. Fast forward to months later, I do still have all
of my old coworkers on social media. So one day I was going through Snapchat stories and
I clicked on one of my old coworker Snapchat's private stories just to see what she was talking
about. After listening to the video, it was her recording my old boss talking crap about me because I wouldn't share a piece of toast with her back then, and she also started talking crap about the new job that I had because she saw me one day at my new job and I pretty much ignored her, amongst other horrible things she was saying.
I don't hold grudges, but this lady was mean and cruel and I was not going to let her talk about me like that. So I proceeded to send her the longest message possible saying keep my name out of your mouth
and told her how horrible of a person she actually is and to check herself lol. After about an hour
goes by her response was don't contact me again or I'm pressing charges and that's all she wrote.
So happy I gave her a piece of my mind. Side note, my old coworker never got in trouble
and she still works there.
Toxic workplace.
For real.
And then to be just, well, and like,
what was this coworker doing?
Just snap recording and post, like,
was she trying to stir the pot or what was going on there?
Right, and I feel like at that point,
just send it to you, you know what I mean?
Right.
Why did she need to post it on her private story?
Right, not everyone needed to see it.
Yeah.
I'm also, like, something I keep thinking about
with this longest message ever,
was it one of the ones where you had to click into
where it, like, gives you a little, that's long.
Those are no joke.
I have gotten some of those in my life and I swear the dread, like the instantaneous
dread that I feel when I see the arrow.
I don't want to open the arrow.
And truly-
Nothing good comes from a message with- I've never had good news come from a message with
an arrow.
Correct.
Correct.
It's always been just not good.
Correct.
So I will admit that there has been times where I don't even click the arrow.
Truly.
And how do you proceed just with?
I feel like there's been times where I like copied and pasted it to someone else to be like, I'm not reading this.
Tell me what this says.
Yeah. But you know what?
That's a great use for chat GPT. No, it really is. Oh
I do not I
Do not fuck with the arrow messages and I pray I never have to deal with one like that again. I
Just actually saw to speaking of the chat GPT thing that people are using chat GPT to be like,
explain this to me in terms of like girl talk.
And then they'll explain it,
like break it down to be like entertaining.
Oh, like taking like an article
where they're using a lot of big words
and stuff like that and turning it into girl talk.
Yes. I kind of love that. Yes.
And I've also seen to, um, apparently like schools are obviously kids are taking their prompts and
putting it into chat GPT and being like, write me a X amount of page article or response to this prompt. And I guess teachers now are putting in white ink
random words into the prompts
so that the responses talk about those random subjects
that aren't on the actual prompt.
And so that's how they're catching kids using chat GPT now
So with the learning lesson in the loophole to that is is what I'm hearing
Always copy and paste and put it see what's in the waiting
Yeah, or that or just like retype the prompt into chat GPT on your own
Whatever the prompt is and then ask for your response
But also just do your own work because we didn't have that and it's not fair.
But also use the resources that you have around you. Do you ever think about that? Like how school
is probably so different now? Because it's incredibly different. Literally just with that
one example. I know I thought we had it made with like Quizlet but to have have ChatGPT or even just this. Like I do this and this is actually very much so like supported and something that
encouraged in my place of work.
But they encourage us to use not ChatGPT, but we have our own little AI bot that we
use. They say use it, you know, it's safe.
Don't obviously go putting people's confidential information in there.
And so many times, like I have like the gist of what I want to say, but I don't obviously go putting people's confidential information in there and so
many times like I have like the gist of what I want to say but I don't have like
the most professional way of saying it. I've seen people do that. And so I'll just say I'll
like put type out like everything that like I know I want to say and I would say
hey can you rewrite this, edit, revise, and expand upon what I have below to be
either more clear, sound more kind.
Like if I'm saying like, oh no, we can't do something
to one of our partners or something.
I was like, can you make this sound more kind
and that I feel bad about this, but in a professional way?
And emails that would have taken me an hour,
maybe two to write or had to like ask them,
like, does this sound right?
They're done in like five minutes now. I know it's so wild. Also just imagine I feel like I
would always in school I vividly remember like getting done with a 10
page essay. Yeah. And then for getting to MLA format and set your resources.
Imagine how easy it is now to type your resources into copy and paste them literally into
Chagy between say MLA format these yep that would have saved me hours of my life
100 if we just would have had that not even the essay part just that part
It would have helped me so much with message because even with my essays. I feel like it was the same thing with my emails
I'm like I knew what I wanted to say and what concepts and like.
Whatever I wanted to write, but I had a hard time like.
Getting in into phrasing the words.
Yeah, the formal thought.
I know it's so wild to think about how different things are.
And maybe we'll talk about how is going to take over the world
and a hot take in the next episode.
But for now, that's it for this week's episode.
