Hello and welcome back to the podcast and welcome to season five.
That's insane.
I actually didn't believe that when I came here today.
I said, what do you mean?
Season five.
No, I agree with you.
I really feel like it was a mistake.
Correct.
Where did seasons three and four go?
I'm not sure.
Not sure.
But we're back and I'm actually proud of us.
I feel like we came back a little bit quicker this time than our normal break.
So props to us.
But also, I am really excited to be back because this is one of the things.
I was just thinking about this today.
Are you?
This to me is like the equivalent to golf league, I think.
Like, this is my once a week.
Golf league.
It is.
I get to escape reality, but also just talk about reality at the same time.
And it's just what I need every week.
It is.
We get to hang out with each other.
we get to, you know, sometimes, you know,
we have a nice little dinner beforehand.
Sometimes we get a little treat afterwards.
If we're feeling crazy, it's the best.
It's what you need.
It is our golf league here,
and hopefully it is for you listening as well.
Your little break from the world and just to gossip with us.
And also on that note, season 5 is returning,
and so is the original merch from our very first launch.
We're so excited this season.
We decided to do something a little crazy.
And we are actually relaunching the original merch,
but you can only get it in person at the mom spaghetti trailer that has the merch in it.
So if you are interested and you are local from the area,
we will be at the mom spaghetti trailer the same day this episode comes out for a
limited time only so maybe we'll see you there um friday when it opens at four so also very exciting to
start this season off but we have a lot to catch up on you guys and we're going to get into
everything that occurred while we were gone because we've been dying to gossip about most of these
things one of them being brittney's wedding i'm
married. I'm not Brittany Edney anymore. Insane. Crazy. It's actually, I very few times. What? Child bride. No, truly. Truly, I do not feel old enough to be a wife.
Saying that is kind of crazy. Changing my name feels kind of crazy. It's not official yet, but it's on social media. So official enough.
So you didn't do the process yet. No, I think I'm going to start soon. I think sometime this month. Summer's been a little, a tad busy.
Yeah, no kidding.
I remember going through the process and it was one of those things where I feel like we should have learned.
I don't know.
I know.
And I guess I have a kit, so I guess that.
That helps.
Yeah.
I remember doing it and I figured it out as I went and obviously I ended up like accomplishing it.
But it did feel like a really big feat that I was not prepared for.
Yeah.
A lot of it, I feel like I wasn't prepared for.
I wasn't prepared for the wedding blues that I would have following the white.
I wasn't prepared for the emotions.
I would have the wedding day.
I don't think you were prepared for the emotions.
You would have the wedding day.
Haley was my matron of honor.
She gave a speech.
I agree.
I was not prepared for the emotions.
I was prepared for the speech though.
You were.
I had been planning that for a very long time.
It was a very good speech.
I was so nervous.
We'll talk about all the details.
And honestly, there was a little bit of drama.
at Bernie's wedding.
There was some.
Some that maybe I didn't know
until after the wedding.
Which is how it should be.
I found out right in front of me in the moment.
So we'll talk about all of those
good details on the
Patreon bonus content.
So if you want to see that, make sure you
join us over there after the
episode. But let's start
with some of the stuff in pop culture that was
going on while we were gone. Because
euphoria was ending.
It was the final season.
There was.
kind of started happening before we ended. Yeah. But the conclusion and everything wasn't done
until we were no longer able to discuss it with you guys. And I'm going to be so honest.
I couldn't watch the whole thing. I got through about one or two episodes and then I just
couldn't do it. And I did watch the previous episodes. It was one of those things where I
wanted to because everybody else was discussing it, but it didn't feel like a good use of my time.
I mean, I think that's a fair judgment. I gathered everything that I needed to know and more on the TikTok.
Typical. I saw some things that I fear I could never unseen. Was it the snake scene? Yes. So if you guys
don't follow Euphoria this season? Spoilers. Spoilers are coming.
And if you didn't watch it by now, you're probably not going to.
But apparently there was a scene in the show where Nate Jacobs, Jacob Bellorty,
was killed off the show by being attacked by snakes in a box.
A snake.
A snake.
And it wasn't done on purpose, allegedly.
I've spoken to some people who watched the show.
It was unclear via the TikToks if the bad man that was after Nate Jacobs and had him
buried in this box, sent the snake,
or if the snake was so happened upon.
Just so happened.
Apparently, the snake just so happened upon him.
And I watched the scene and I will never recover.
Well,
if you are afraid of snakes, do not watch.
It was also just really bad timing
because we had been going on walks together
and we encountered a snake in the wild.
The day that I was telling you,
and our friend Matt, who we were on the walk with,
I was saying, listen, I watch this really traumatic thing for me.
I feel a little scarred.
And I kid you not, a good 15 minutes later.
It was sitting right there, right along the line of the sidewalk and the woods.
You manifested that for us, I fear.
But I'll be honest with you, I still walk that path.
Snakes are me.
Like, I wouldn't befriend a snake, but I'm not going to, like, necessarily bolt away from them.
Oh.
Like spiders?
I see when I'm bolting.
Sorry to the spiders because they were in my way.
Where was your path that?
The garage.
Okay.
A box that came from the garage.
Okay.
If they come in your house and that's fair.
But like if you approach them in the wild, that's on you.
One by a window.
I was trying to clean.
I've been in a very like declutter, clean my house.
It's not springing.
anymore, but I feel you.
It's my spring, it's my fall cleaning.
I'm trying to reset.
And that's when these spiders were encountered.
Yeah, see, like, I, if they're in the house,
I will run away from them and have someone else kill them.
But, like, a snake in the wild, I'm not, like, running the other way as I did witness
you do.
However, that was dramatic.
What about a spider on a golf cart?
Oh my God.
You guys.
This was actually insane.
And you know what?
I'm starting to realize the pattern here.
It's you.
Because I don't have these issues when you're not around.
I kid you not.
This spider, we went golfing.
It was the biggest spider.
The biggest spider I've ever seen in the wild.
It was so large that its eyeballs were loose.
looking at me. A hundred percent. You could see its eyes. From a distance. Like, that's how large it was.
It was in my golf bag, and it kept running down into it every time we would try to, like,
shoe it off. And I'm going to be honest, I'm totally putting Evan on blast. Love my husband.
But when I recruit him to kill a spider or an insect, I've noticed a trend in how he attempts to kill it.
does not he takes a rag or a towel and like flings it at the spider.
It's a very, he doesn't, he doesn't really try to connect with it like that.
No, because he's also, I think, I think he's a little scared.
So he tries to keep a distance and, like, shoe things away with long objects instead of, like,
actually approaching and hitting with accuracy.
So he keeps taking a golf towel and, like, trying to fling it and shoe the spider away.
I didn't want to say in the moment.
but it was not a good approach.
No, it was never going to work, but also the spider was just every time we were tried to
just going down into like the golf bag.
Until it did it.
Coming back up.
So finally, the one time, Evan started getting mad at this point because like we kept
having to pull the cart over because it would crawl out of the bag and try to interact with us.
Such a nuisance.
It was just, just.
It was genuine.
It was.
It was genuinely causing chaos.
It was causing us to go slow.
You were trying to have like a nice little afternoon.
Like we got hot dogs.
We had lemonade.
Like we really tried.
And it was not going away.
So finally Evans like,
Ari, like the people behind us are going to get mad.
Like we're taking too long because we literally kept him to pull over.
And so he shoes it off.
We weren't even hitting every single hole or every single like stroke.
Yeah.
We were just playing for funzies.
There was a lot of scrambling going on.
And anyway, so we're taking so long.
The spider keeps popping up.
It's literally causing chaos.
We keep having to pull over because it will just like pop up and say hello.
And then whatever.
Finally, Evan's like, I got it.
I got it.
He's like swears up and down.
He got it.
We don't see it for like a few holes.
So we're like, okay, maybe he really did.
Finally, we're sitting there.
And this was a hole that we were like, all right, we're just going to like chill on the side.
Evan can hit.
Yeah.
And we're sitting there.
And Brittany, mistakenly, looks at me and slowly starts backing away to get up.
And she goes, don't move.
I was backing away to grab a napkin and make contact.
In that moment, I needed to know nothing more.
I knew it was on me.
And so I just stood up very quickly.
And I'm not going to lie.
I started to take my clothes off.
I was freaking up.
I genuinely like.
I you said I'll take the ticket I said I don't care get this thing off me anyways we lost it
don't know where it went but I was fully convinced I mean like hair shaking out hats off like
trying to get like freaking out it was a a site really caused us problem so we made Evan trade golf
cards yeah and then we switched carts all together because we were fully convinced that it was
terrorizing that cart.
So that was our encounter with insects, and I'm not a spider person.
Clearly, Brittany's not a snake person.
Clearly.
So, euphoria really was something we weren't.
Not interested in.
Not interested in.
But on the same note, Jacob Allorty was interested in Kendall Jenner, supposedly.
I feel like this pairing came seriously.
seemingly out of nowhere, like everyone was a little bit surprised by it, but they make so much
sense to me personally. Is it still a thing going on? Because I'm going to be honest, every
relationship that Kendall Jenner is like supposedly in, I never fully buy it. I don't know why.
I just never fully buy it because I feel like it's always shoved in our face so much. Yeah.
For like a short time period. It's like snippets. That I'm like, why is this being forced on us?
right now. Is it because her boyfriends, and I haven't watched
in a while, they never really show up on like the Kardashians or at like the big family
gatherings? But that's why I also don't believe it, I think. Because like if they were
truly dating, like there would really be no way around that. Right. But I guess
Timothy Shalameh, I don't know if he's been on the Kardashians yet either. And I am
fully invested in him and Kylie being together. I'm not sure
about that one. What do you mean you're not sure? No, like I don't watch so I don't
know if he's never been in the realm of thing.
I don't think so.
I feel like I would have seen clips of it on online.
But then again, to that point, like, they are always together.
So it's, like, believable.
But, like, I feel like when she's in a relationship,
it's always like they went on, like, some crazy vacation in France.
It is.
And those are the only time you see photos.
They're like off.
It's never, like.
World traveling.
At a restaurant somewhere.
It's always, like, some crazy vacation or something.
And they're, like, on a boat, on a yacht.
doing something too much.
Doing too much.
That's fair.
That's fair.
I don't know if I ever fully bought that, but that was an interesting one that came out of it.
And then I feel like to just be on the topic of relationships, big news that happened.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey's wedding, which we'll get into all the deeds, what we thought, what we didn't think.
She also did the toy story thing in the meantime.
She sure did.
I was a little bit surprised because my two favorite worlds, Disney and Taylor Swift, came together for one epic song.
It was a big moment for you.
It was a big moment.
I was actually, I was on the live countdown on Taylor's website for her announcement of the song and the CDs that came with it.
It's a good song.
I like the song.
I do as well.
And then she popped up actually at the Toy Story premiere.
She walked the red carpet.
She had the cast sign.
I believe it was her original voice.
Story VCR, which is very nostalgia, very she.
And then she performed.
Cute.
I didn't see any of that.
You did it?
No.
I guess it's very much so.
It's my world.
Your world.
I did hear the song.
I like the song.
Also, I have been news for me.
I've been trying to watch Toy Story over again because.
Oh, my gosh.
So funny.
But allegedly I'm not on your.
Oh, yeah.
Sorry, Disney Plus.
We were sharing accounts and she keeps getting kicked off the...
It's really ruining things for L.
I'm just trying to share.
And poor Elliot is not being able to experience the greatness that is.
Has he seen all of Toy Story 1?
That's my personal favorite.
Yeah, we watched the first one.
And truthfully what I will say, and I think this is with all cartoons.
And we've probably talked about this a thousand times.
But just some of the jokes that were in the movie, I was like...
They got away with a lot.
in Toy Story about.
Like, they were very adult jokes, very inappropriate.
Their humor is even like a little like dry at times.
Yeah, like it was not like, I feel like Spondrob is a good example of like there are adult
jokes, but they're like really funny and more like witty.
Like you'd have to really be paying attention and I don't know, they're very much like a joke.
Some of the ones in Toy Story were kind of dark.
Which one?
Like, when, um, I know etching sketch.
The etch sketch of like, yeah.
Basically.
Yeah.
Yep.
I don't, what's the.
I don't, what's the.
Yeah.
But not yeha.
Yes.
About Woody because he thought he tried to hurt buzz.
That was a little intense.
It was very intense.
And what is the, what do?
They would not do that in.
How do you say like, what's the appropriate word that?
that people say like on TikTok to get away would talk unaliving yes it was an unaliving joke we're making a lot of like gestures and obviously if you're listening you can see that sorry for those listening ears basically it was an unaliving joke and I was like oh and obviously Elliot has no idea what's going on but he was interested in like buzz and stuff I feel is he is he on the buzz a buzz fan yeah like when he came on the screen he was just like mesmerized yeah okay okay
Okay, that's good to know.
But yeah, so he enjoyed it.
No, because it signed me out.
Okay, well, we'll work on that after this.
I can't make my own accounts, but, like, we're so intertwined with a lot of our whole life.
Exactly.
So it's like, I can, but whatever I don't want to.
Then you can go to Toy Store land and fully appreciate.
Exactly.
That's my dream.
What else happened?
Okay, let's get into this wedding.
because this was a huge
There's a lot of detail
And I feel that the best person to like
Talk about the facts
Just the straight facts is you
I do know a lot of facts about this
So fact number one
The wedding happened on July 3rd
At Madison Square Garden
Despite so many people
Saying that was never going to happen
I need to sit on this for a minute
Before we move into the facts here
because there's a lot of debate over just a location in itself,
which of course we're going to see a lot of debate
with this entirety of the wedding.
Maybe why we never see photos.
However, the amount of people online that said,
oh, she would never do that.
I was not a naysayer.
I kind of believed when they said Madison Square Garden
that it could happen because of the security measures alone.
And could she afford security at literally any venue
and make it the most secure it's ever been.
Of course.
She is the greatest team in the world.
However, the tunnels, the fact that, like,
you can't have drone shots,
like for all the people that said,
why didn't she go to Italy?
Why didn't she go somewhere, you know, in Europe
and have this beautiful outdoor wedding?
Photos were going to get leaked.
So.
Photos got leaked anyways, though.
Wouldn't you rather have, like, good photos get leaked
than, like, photos inside of medicines for a garden?
Hard to say.
Okay.
Hard to say.
So just in general,
Your thoughts on it being at Madison Square Garden are like,
I mean,
that was the right move?
I think for them,
I feel like,
I feel like it makes sense for me for them to get married there because I feel like
they both love what they do so much in like Travis with sports,
specifically football,
even though this is a basketball arena.
Right.
Taylor with performing.
Like,
I feel like they really wanted to lean into what they love.
And I feel like we've seen that a lot with Taylor with like her relationship with Travis.
I feel like he makes her more herself.
And like she, I think she just loves being a pop star.
Like I think it's insane to me though.
But then why even worry about like making it this secretive thing?
I think that she wanted it to be.
But also she could have, my thing is she could have built her own venue.
She could have actually.
One of a kind venue that no one ever would be able to replicate or do again or be in the next weekend.
Like, I just feel like there was endless opportunity.
And like, I actually, that's the first time I've heard the take of her building her own venue.
I like it.
She should have done.
I genuinely thought that she might build her own venue.
I thought that could have been an option.
Maybe that's something that she considered.
Maybe she didn't consider until now.
I like it.
Yeah, interesting.
I don't know.
I was very confused on the Madison Square Garden thing,
especially Fourth of July weekend.
I got it.
That made me like just annoyed for people, like, having to deal with that.
Unfortunately,
I am typically very loudly and proudly against holiday weekend weddings.
We have discussed this at length.
that it's I love like maybe like a new year's eve wedding but like I don't think anyone should be
having their wedding on Halloween I kind of feel the same way before the fourth so it's not like
but it's the holiday weekend and like people are traveling people are in the city people are trying
to leave the city people are like there's so much going on I don't know I think that was a I think
that may have been a thought they had that everyone else has so much going on that maybe they'll be a
little distracted. I can tell you one thing at our 4th of July weekend. This is all we talked about.
This is all we talked about because the details were just like slowly rolling out.
The main one that we were all focused on was Adam Sandler officiating the wedding.
There was over a thousand guests. He was one of them. Rumors were swirling that he officiated.
I think it's now been confirmed. He's officiated the ceremony. There may have been some singing
involved, which I think, again, people had their thoughts a little iconic to have the wedding
singer as you're officiant.
Again, I get that.
That's sick.
Like, it's Adam Sandler.
It's Adam Sandler.
You're not going to not say that's cool.
But why, but like, it makes it feel like a joke in a way.
Like, kind of like, why did you pick out of everybody?
out of everyone, like, that you could choose.
I feel like that's, like, a sentimental position.
It is.
It is.
For me personally, my brother married Brian and I.
Yeah, which was very sentimental.
Yeah, normally it's something sentimental or, like, religious or somebody really close to you guys.
And, like, I mean, obviously we don't know if they're super close, but just.
They're real close family friends.
Yeah.
Just based on that information.
I was like, oh, that's interesting.
And then the main other thing that I remember we talked about that at Fourth of July weekend was the Justin T married and it looked like AT&T.
It did look like AT&D.
And I think it was a, it was like a Ushuff color to it.
It looked exactly like the logo for.
It did.
It looked like a sponsored thing.
It was very weird.
We were not sure what that record was.
That was a choice.
Who was to say the couple knew about that choice.
They probably did.
No way anyone did anything without their permission.
No, they had, everyone had to sign NDAs.
I know that when the save the date slash invites went out,
those were watermarked with the names of who they were sent to
to ensure that if it was leaked, they'd know exactly who did it.
Did you see those?
I did see those.
So they watermarked it with the last name.
So if you posted it or sent it to someone, they knew you did it.
Correct.
But I also didn't really see how that mattered because some people posted it online,
which obviously then they would know who posted it because it was on their account.
Yeah.
So then it's like, why does it even matter?
Were they told not to post it?
Because it was after the fact.
After, yeah, that was the thing.
It got posted and then deleted after the fact.
So I'm not sure why it exactly mattered.
but maybe it was something in the NDA that they didn't want people to see the invite.
I'm not so sure because everybody else was posting the,
so it's going to be forever lace gift that they received.
It's very interesting.
I'd be very curious to know what was in the NDAs.
I know that the information they got ahead of time was very limited
other than people were told to be in NYC,
but they did not find out until the morning of the wedding
that it was going to be at Madison Square Garden.
They also didn't find out that it was a secret garden party theme
until the morning of the wedding.
Which I just find hard to believe
because all these celebrities that went have stylists
that pick their outfits months in advance.
And I mean, unless they literally all just got sent
with 10 different possible theme options.
I think there was some theme options.
But we kind of all knew in advance, too, that it was going to be there.
It was just the whole thing was just very, I was shocked at, like, one, how much we knew and how much we were getting, like, in real time.
I don't know.
There's influencers who, like, go have weddings and, like, you don't see or hear anything about it until, like, after when they, like, want it to be discussed that, like, it happened and what happened.
and like the photos from it.
I don't know.
And obviously it's a little bit harder
to keep underwraps in this situation.
But if no one could have their phones,
everyone signed these NDAs,
it just felt like cheesy in a way.
I think with a thousand people,
I feel like everybody just like knew somebody
who knew somebody that was there.
Which is also kind of cheesy.
Like why are there that many people?
I don't know.
I had a very hard time.
You have a very strong opinion about this.
supportive of this.
Like, I just, she is so witty and smart and Easter eggy on like so many things.
And then like the wedding just is not.
Like, it was too on the nose.
We didn't even talk about the food situation.
Oh, wait, what happened again?
I was really, I was really interested in this like, ooh, who's like ahead of time.
Like, well, who's going to be at whose tables and like, what does that seating arrangement look like?
allegedly there was no seating arrangement for dinner it was strolling and there were many of basically
every food you could imagine food stations um there was rumors that there was long lines for food that was
debunked um like a buffet you mean yeah it was almost like it was like i wouldn't i would call
probably like an elevated buffet like there was like stations but it wasn't like your
traditional wedding reception where everyone sits down at assigned seating tables and that is also
something I cannot get behind because if I was at a wedding like that with that many people having to wait for that long to eat, like I would just see you later. See you later. Gotta go. I don't know. I feel like for me in recent years, the dinner in like that section, like that portion of the wedding is one of my favorite parts like sitting down, hanging out with the people at your table, hearing the speeches. Yeah, it's the main. Yeah. It's the main. Yeah. It's.
It's like the, after the ceremony, it's like the main event.
Yeah.
And then you dance and you have fun.
But they had, I mean, I presume they were still dancing.
And I know there was like karaoke going on.
They also had carnival style games.
Do you hear yourself?
You are a defender until the end, but like karaoke at the wedding.
I would say if things didn't go the way they did at my wedding, which everything was perfect and great,
there may have been karaoke.
If that mic was out of a little bit longer.
There is a difference between like two people like singing something and having karaoke at your wedding or like having people perform.
There was a lot of singers in the room.
I guess so.
I just this the whole thing was just like I feel like divided people a lot.
And like obviously if you're a fan of Taylor, you're going to defend her.
We're the two sides of the coins right here.
I'm a fan of her, but I still can be like this.
I think that this was just not it.
I think because there's been so much, I don't want to say controversy,
but like so much debate, online speculation and back and forth,
I don't know if we will ever see photos of this wedding.
Because, I mean, yeah, we've seen like some leaked photos.
But from Taylor, I'm not sure we'll get a post, which a year ago, pre-engagement,
I guess we're probably about the time of the one-year mark of the engagement.
I didn't think we'd see engagement photos until like, wait, wait, wait,
after the fact and maybe we saw one photo in like a documentary years down the road but we got those right but
don't you think that's weird like you're posting your engagement photos but not your wedding photos
I know so I maybe we'll get them soon maybe we'll get them in due time and I saw a lot of people like
speculating that it was going to be nothing was posted or shared until something was behind a paywall
like some kind of documentary
or some kind of something like
she was going to like monetize her wedding
I guess we'll find out but that I don't believe that
that will tip the scales for me of like
I don't see it happening or not
it really was in the end let me tell you
she wants to put out
a movie to theaters
I'll be in line I'll have my popcorn
and she knows it I'll get my commemorative
cup she will not
She won't.
I would be surprised, but.
Yeah, I just, I thought that one was interesting.
So on the flip side, what did you think of Tom Holland and Zendaya's?
She.
Very secretive wedding.
Sheik.
It's chic to get married in.
So chic, too.
Secret.
Yes, I actually do like that.
And I think, too, like, we've talked about jokingly slash kind of, kind of,
of seriously that at my engagement party, like I secretly kind of was like hoping we would just
get married there. Yeah. And surprise everybody. And I obviously, my wedding was amazing. I'm so glad we did
it. But like, I always in the back of my mind was like, that is kind of nice to just like do it all one.
be small and have it be like something so intimate and seems less stressful.
Yeah, less stressful and less of a less for everybody else and more for you.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
And I.
It gives people less time to make it about themselves.
Yeah, it's hard with a wedding because like even you were kind of going through it.
When it's your wedding, you're not really able to like actually enjoy all the things that you plan.
for everybody else.
Me and Brian talked about that because we had so many cool parts of our wedding.
And like, once dinner was done, there was like, so, I say so many.
But there was, like, different places you could be.
You could be getting coffee as a coffee bar, taking photo booths out on the rooftop.
And, like, we got, like, one photo booth photo.
We just don't get to utilize all the things you put so much time and thought into.
It's for everyone else.
And that's the thing about what Tom and Zendaya did.
And maybe they did do some kind of actual wedding where, like, they was for other people.
But my take on it was that they did something with just like them.
Yeah.
Like a small group.
And I think that's cool.
Some small details just recently coming out that it was a private wedding celebration in England at a luxury countryside hotel.
Beaverbrook.
I'm probably saying that wrong.
It looks right.
Beaverbrook.
So that's the only detail we have.
I mean, I think that's so cool.
And that they've been spotted with rings
and have referred to each other as,
I believe, husband and wife, like very lightly.
Maybe not even those exact words,
but they've alluded to being married
in the price that they've been doing
all summer for the Odyssey and Spider-Man.
All the movies.
You guys, we saw.
the Odyssey and Spider-Man in the same weekend together yes we did Friday what was it Friday Odyssey
Sunday Spider-Man yep and honestly both were really good both were pretty incredible but you know what
happened to us and I don't know if this was like an experience with anyone else but we kept seeing all
these videos online of like the Odyssey has to be saw in 70 millimeter film and that's how it was filmed
And if you don't see it like that, you're going to, like, cut off half the screen or whatever, all this crap.
And we found, yeah, like, we found a theater that said, oh, 70 millimeter film, whatever.
And we sacrificed the nice chairs at the movies where you can, like, the recliner.
And we didn't get that.
We sat on an airplane.
That's what I kept saying.
I go, this was basically an airplane ride to Florida because it was a three-hour movie.
Yeah.
Which worth it.
But.
But it wasn't even like the 70 million even.
I didn't realize that until you started saying it.
Because I was trying to tell Brian when we were in the car after.
I was like, I could tell it was on film.
Shut up.
I really do think in like some of the first like few scenes though where you're seeing
the sky and it's kind of like it's pretty white.
I felt like I could like it looked different than how it would look digitally.
But I think it would have looked the same.
at our local movie theater
as where we're right
we just went out of our way
to like see it how you're supposed to see it
we went somewhere else
and like it was not
that and yeah
so for Spider-Man we did not sacrifice the seats
I love Spider-Man
Odyssey I feel like that was like
I've seen it once
it was incredible it was a masterpiece
not necessarily something
I'll go to as like a re-watch thing
Spider-Man
It's a long movie to do that.
Spider-Man, I think when that hits streaming, I'll be re-watching it regularly.
You would not surprise me.
No.
Doing that.
No.
My favorite.
But yeah, we also were trying to remember because we all had to read The Odyssey in school.
Oh, yeah.
And we were trying to think about what we actually remembered, but...
Not much.
We really did not remember much.
And it's so crazy to think about that, like,
our time of having to read The Odyssey.
We didn't have AI.
We didn't have AI, but we had Spark Notes.
Spark notes were that girl.
I would not have made it through without that.
I think you would have.
You were really smart.
Yeah, but like, reading, for some reason,
reading when they would give us, like, a huge book to read,
I could never, like, segment it up good enough to, like, retain it well.
Retain it.
I'm not good at retaining.
Like, I have to reread sections of books.
Even now when I'll, like, read for fun.
I'll have to sometimes, like, go back and reread.
Because I'll notice I just, like, read the words, but not processing it.
Yep.
That's kind of, I mean, that's what would happen to me because I would get behind.
Like, they would basically be like, oh, read chapters, whatever through whatever this week.
Oh, and then, like, I wouldn't do it.
So then I would have to read, like, 10 at once.
and I'd just be skimming and then I'd be like, oh my gosh, I just, I don't even know what I just read.
Oh my gosh.
What's going on?
What island are they on now?
Literally.
How'd they get here?
But, yeah, I thought it was really cool.
I really liked both movies.
Yeah.
It was a great weekend.
My ideal weekend is seeing at least two movies.
Well, me and Evan always say, like, since having Elliott, we don't really get to go to the movies much.
So it was a big treat for you all.
Yeah, we had helped that weekend.
So we were like, all right, let's go to the movies.
The movies, twice.
We have helped this weekend.
What are we going to do?
We're going to go crazy at the movies.
Double feature.
Yeah.
So lots going on with weddings and secret weddings and very public weddings.
And then you just told me about this, which was also Fourth of July weekend.
It was America's 250th birthday.
And I did not know this.
But apparently, states came together and put things in a time capsule that's going to be
opened in 2,276.
Yep.
And so in 250 more years, people will be opening this time capsule.
And supposedly there's a whalebone, a diamond.
Michigan, good old Michigan, put a Potoskey stone and copper in there.
We could have did better.
I was kind of thinking that.
There's lots in there.
But you know, you know who really copped out, though, was California.
put an AI prediction of the future.
So what, like on a piece of paper?
Yeah, I think it's like on a piece of paper or something.
So, I mean, I guess maybe that'll be cool for them to read what we thought.
Was going to happen?
The world was going to be in 250 years.
You know what I really appreciated was New Mexico putting in a cookie recipe amongst
other things?
I just think that'll be interesting to like, I don't know.
But like, do you think that they'll know?
to open this or like that it exists because I was thinking like
who's going to relay this information right and also
why don't we have one to open now we did open a couple
Nickelodeon buried one and we opened it I'm pretty sure I'm talking
like this like historic like why didn't they do one at like
the 100th year one
here's our time capsule with a feather in it I don't know
They put a stone in there.
Yeah.
No, I was thinking the same thing.
Like, who is going to remind them in 250 years?
It's almost like...
They set a reminder on the iPhone?
Yeah.
Like, I think about, like, things like the pyramids or these, like, great architecture,
buildings and structures, like, across Europe that took hundreds of years to build.
I'm like, who project managed that over the course?
of hundreds of years. You just keep passing it down to your kid?
I guess so. Like, what if this stays buried forever? I don't know. I mean, I don't know if they'd
be missing that much. No, I mean, there's an iPhone in there, a Coca-Cola bottle.
I think they could do without it in 2,276. We'll see. We'll see. But yeah, so speaking of Michigan,
because that just reminded me of what we've been going through over here.
So first of all, there was a lot of wildfire smoke from Canada for a while.
Unhealthiest air quality that you can imagine.
I genuinely, here's the thing.
Obviously after I knew what was going on, but truthfully at first, I had no warning that this was going to occur.
And so, like, I just walked outside and I was like, oh my gosh, there's a fire somewhere.
Like, I was, like, freaking out.
It was orange outside and it smelled like a bonfire for, like, three days.
Yeah.
But when it first happened, like, I didn't know this was about to happen.
So I'm just thinking like, I feel like people probably watch the news.
Yeah, some people a little more educated than us.
Probably knew.
But I had no clue.
So I'm just really like, oh, my gosh, there's a fire.
No, turns out we were just really suffering with some wildfire smoke.
And then at the same time, we got hit with floor forms.
Cyclospora.
I don't know how to say that word.
Pritnes keeps calling it chloroform.
I mean, truthfully, I really don't know how to say it.
Like, cyclospora.
Santa called it cyclops.
Like, there's lots of names for it.
But basically, yeah, we're not safe here.
You can't eat anything.
Can't go outside.
People were afraid to eat the lettuce.
That wasn't a problem for me because I just ate chicken.
The thing that was really good at me was people being like, I was really about to eat the salad.
What will I do?
But the thing that actually did kind of affect me was like, first it was from Taco Bell, supposedly, they said.
And that impacted your life.
And that bothered me.
Yeah.
It just, it was starting to feel like we really can't have anything.
No.
It was berries.
then it was lettuce, then it was, I don't know,
and then a bunch of eggs got recalled.
Yeah.
And then, I think we've had like a bunch of things get recalled recently.
No, there's more recalls that have just recently happened.
Let me tell you one thing.
One person not scared, Brian, chopping up so much lettuce.
Why?
I've never seen that man.
I mean, he loves salads, but like.
Are you trying to, like, get it?
I may be, but he had no.
fear of chlorocepta.
I don't know.
Close enough.
He continuously ate salads and I said,
good for you.
Okay, good for you.
No, it kind of at first did affect me and I was like, wow, can't have anything.
What am I going to eat?
Fras, like, ugh, that sucks.
But the worst.
Really, the only thing that did suck was.
for Elliot.
I was like,
he ate a lot of salad?
No,
but like berries and like fruits.
And then I was like,
and then in my head I was like,
I'll do the frozen ones because those are safe
and then they were like frozen ones are not safe.
The worst case ones.
Yeah, so we didn't do that.
Or Elliot.
I know.
But then we tried new fruits and he actually liked them.
Did he?
That's his favorite food right now.
The little grape looking things.
That treat I tried the other day.
Oh.
No, no, this little yogurt.
I didn't know what they were called.
No.
They honestly are really good, though.
Sometimes I, like, steal his snacks.
I'm like, it says it's healthy.
I mean, I felt like I had the most nutrition that I'd ever had when I had.
I honestly, I think his favorite is just fruit.
Like, he loves strawberries.
He loves, like, any kind of fruits.
Which, to be fair, same.
Yeah.
But I just, like, don't take the time for myself to, like, do all that.
But for him, it's right in front of them.
He's delivering a good life.
I'm obviously going to do that, so good for him.
But yeah, so we've been going through a lot over here.
Yeah.
And I mean, I feel like we're kind of caught up now.
Yeah.
That takes us to now.
That takes us to now.
