Hello and welcome back to the podcast.
We are officially on season four, episode 20.
And with that being said, we unfortunately have some news.
Next week will be the last episode of this season.
But it's bittersweet.
Usually we're already gone by this point of the season.
This is so true.
We've never recorded in, have we ever recorded in May?
I don't think so.
So this is big for us, but we will be back for season five.
at the end of summer. So we're really excited about that. But I feel like we just kind of dumped this on
you guys. It was a lot, but there was also a lot that happened this week. Exactly. So we have a lot to
talk about. And we'll make sure these last two episodes are great ending season episodes. And we'll
start on a positive note of things that happened this week because honestly, Detroit is just really
winning right now. Of course we are. That's why we're my Detroit.
I love that my Detroit hat because we're just doing great things yeah so first we're going to start with a potential spoiler if you were watching Kevin Hart's funny AF on Netflix and you didn't watch the ending yet I have your ears but I know what happens you already know too well because I just wrote it right I felt like maybe you'd heard it because same thing for me I didn't watch yet but the show I
Netflix funny AF is basically they're looking for the next big comedian hosted by Kevin Hart and
then there's like special guest judges the contestants are different comedians they do challenges and
basically try to prove that they're like the funniest one and it ended up being a comedian from
Detroit who won the entire thing and now I want to watch the entire series same so I think it's
only a couple episodes I don't think it's a full thing his name is Ron Taylor and
And he won.
And when you win, you get your own Netflix comedy special.
Oh, I love that.
So we will get to see him do his own special now.
And apparently also, Kevin Hart put him on to some other things.
He's going to be a part of the roast of Kevin Hart that's coming out.
Oh, I love that.
And just, like, using his other connections, that was, like, part of what they won for if they win.
And so, yeah, that was really exciting.
And then also the Pistons have been doing great.
absolutely killing it. And it was actually a historic turnaround for them. They went from one of the
worst teams to a 60 win number one seed, which is like one of the biggest turnarounds in NBA history.
And now they just won their last game, so they will be going in the next round of the playoffs.
And Kate Cunningham, which is one of like the main players right now, it's so funny because like in
my mind, I compare it to when we used to go and we're little. Yeah. I'm like, he's like the Chonsie
Billups. He's like the Rip Hamilton. Literally. But for this generation, it's Cade Cunningham. And he
dropped 45 points in a playoff game, which is a franchise record. That's incredible. So all very
exciting. And then also Detroit is getting its own professional women's hockey league. I've heard bits and
pieces of this. Yes. I'm very excited about that. I just saw this today. And only eight other cities have
teams and so last season for the teams that existed already we didn't have our own team yet but we like
hosted just games for the season yeah and it did really well so now we're getting our own team
heck yeah name has yet to be announced but we will have our own professional women's hockey league
and yeah it'll all be played at little seasons arena yeah it's all starting um this summer
they're kicking off some fun stuff in the city aren't they yeah i think it's uh june 17th
is like the draft for it.
And then it will be happening here, which is fun.
I feel like.
It is very fun.
It really does love our sports.
And this will just be like another fun thing too.
I'm very excited for them.
Same.
Very, very excited.
On an opposite note, there was a big fail that happened this week.
Honestly, this is one of those things where I say like it's surprising, but also am I shocked?
I don't know.
Yeah.
So Spirit Airlines.
disappeared overnight and customers, employees, stranded, everything just gone overnight.
And truthfully, I mean, apparently they had had a lot of issues over the past few years.
Right.
I just feel like no one in the public really knew about it.
So obviously if you're booking tickets to them, you're not thinking about any of that.
And people literally got completely screwed over.
I, that's the one part of this that I don't fully understand.
Because of course, you know, you've got to close down at some point if you're in the position financially that they were in.
However, in my mind, I would have just thought it was one of those things where it's like an announced closing.
Like, we will be closing in three months.
And then like, all flights after that.
All flights after that are going to be canceled, redirected, like gives us some time to create a plan for those.
nobody stranded, but to just close down literally, like, in the matter of hours.
That's what I think did shock everybody, and especially too for employees.
There are 17,000 employees that were just overnight lost their jobs with no warning.
And apparently what it was, too, was like a failed bailout at the last minute.
They were trying to get some deal done and it didn't work.
So they were just like, okay, we're done.
But now, I don't know if you saw this, but people online,
And there was a creator who started a campaign calling it like Spirit 2.0, let's buy Spirit.
And he built a website where people could sign up and pledge money to buy Spirit.
And the idea was like what if regular people owned the airline.
And tens of thousands of people actually signed up.
And over $20 million to $80 million plus in pledges were made.
to buy Spirit.
And it was getting so much traffic
to this site that he created.
It was crashing this site.
I, you know, I'm going to say, you know,
caveat, I'm not good at economics.
So, um,
what I say here, take it with a grain of salt.
I'm, you know, not necessarily, um,
the most savvy in this state.
But like, wouldn't that be the essential of like,
like owning stock in a company with Spirit?
not a publicly traded company that we couldn't buy stock in before?
I don't know if they were or not.
You know, that's why I'm like, were they private?
I don't know.
It's a good question.
I think they were because I think that was the point that the guy was making.
Yeah, I think that was like what the guy was saying.
So now, like, if this were to go through, like if they were,
is some able to, you know, revive, bring spirit back from the dead, which sounds fitting.
good storyline there, I suppose, good headline.
Good marketing.
Like, would these people be like part owners?
Or would they have like stock and spirit?
I don't know exactly what this.
You know what I mean?
What the plan was going to be in the end?
Again, I'm not good at economics.
I don't even know if that's the right term I should be using.
And again, I don't know that obviously Spirit's model was to already,
the point was to make it more affordable for more people to be able to fly.
Right.
And I never really utilized it, but I loved the option.
Yeah.
I love knowing that it was like, yeah.
Did I do that often?
No.
Yeah.
So maybe I'm a part of the problem.
Yeah.
Well, it didn't work out.
I don't know if it's going to actually work out.
But you know what is?
So I did see a lot of other airlines were stepping in saying like, well, honor X percent
discount for customers who got like, like,
dumped it didn't have. Yeah. And that's all great and that's all fine. That's all nice. But now did you see, Delta just came out and said no snacks or beverage services if your flight is under 350 miles. Right. Um, like why are you taking stuff away? You've already lost spirit. Now we're losing this. I was shocked because I, I love a cheezed. I love a sun chip on a plane. I love a Bisk off cookie. I mean, people,
really yeah people really love to take that seriously i they do i'm not you know into the biscot coffee but i know
that that's like never passed one up i'm gonna be honest very strong community here's the thing but i'm gonna be
honest and i do this on planes and i don't know why it's like i won't even be hungry but like if you
pass me i have to have because i panic i'm like this is my only opportunity and i have a bit you can't
buy those in stores no but just it's not the same on the flight like if i pass me i pass me i have
I understand. What am I going to do? I'm going to call them over later and be like,
actually, you know, can I have a cookie? No, that's not allowed. Is that allowed? Do people do that?
I'm sure you could. You know what? They probably do. They probably do. But no, so I just, I'm,
I am kind of shocked by this. I am too, because I fear that most of the flights I take are less than
350 miles. So I need to look some things up. I, that's actually what I was thinking to.
Chicago, what, how many miles?
How many miles of a flight is that?
Not 350?
I don't think so.
And I don't know about Orlando either.
I don't know if I'm going to be able to get it.
That would be.
Yeah.
Again, math, economics.
It's all the same.
Tomato, potato.
Yeah.
What was I say?
But Chicago?
No, we definitely aren't getting a cookie on that flight.
Those are like the two flights I take.
That's where I was going with this, too, though.
I was going to say, even when they come around and they say headphones,
Do you need headphones?
Those are gone too?
I always take headphones.
Even if I don't need them because again I panic.
I'm like, what if mine die?
Yeah.
Or like what if like I don't know.
I go through all the scenarios.
You just want to be prepared.
And I have to.
And an alert passenger.
I hoard airplane stuff.
Where are they?
They're all in my airplane backpack.
Do you eat the Biscop cookie on the plane or you do wait till later?
No.
I usually just have it in my back and then like if Evan stumbles upon it, he may
may take it.
No, but it's important to have like for like the longevity of like your trip.
You know what I mean?
It's like when I go to the airport on any given trip, I get a water.
Do I ever drink that water on the flight?
No, not often.
But you know what?
That is because maybe maybe this is a sign I should travel with a water bottle.
That's my water bottle for my trip.
Like that is my like.
You refill it.
Sometimes.
But like that's like I know.
like I have a source of water wherever my journey takes me like you know what I mean you better hope your drip is
only one day because that's not going to last very long no it does you get the big one the big smart water at
the airport this big and I mean it may not last me the whole time but like it's like my safety net I feel
I feel like other people do it too I do that but like I drink it on the like my intend to drink it on
the plane mine will be like halfway gone so when I get to my destination
I, in fact, no, like this will not last me more than 12 hours.
Mine makes it normally mostly full to my destination, whether that be Airbnb, hotel, whatever the situation is.
Because typically I'll get like a coffee also before the flight and that's what gets consumed.
Today's episode is brought to you by Cozy Earth.
You guys have heard me talk about Cozy Earth before and they're super comfortable sheets.
And now they've got a few other pieces that really.
take things further when it comes to upgrading your five to nine. It's all about making that part of
your day when you're actually home and living your life just as comfortable as everything else.
So what's the outfit you actually live in? Because for most of us, it's not something we planned.
It's just that one thing that we keep reaching for again and again. And that's exactly where their
brushed bamboo jogger sets come in. They're made from viscos from bamboo, so they're lightweight,
breathable, and that kind of soft that's meant to get even better over time. And bonus points because
it's not just lounging around comfy, it's still put together enough that you can answer the door
or step out without feeling like you need to change. And keeping that same cozy but elevated vibe,
their lakehouse clogs bring that exact energy. Easy slip on, cushioned footbed, soft on the inside,
but still supported enough that you can actually be on your feet or run out quickly. It's that home
comfort that follows you throughout your day. What stands out to me is that it's not just throwaway
homeware. That's why I love Cozy Earth. It's designed to last and they back it with a 30-day
return policy so you can try it and see if it's your thing, plus a lifetime warranty, which you
really don't see often. This spring, give yourself the kind of comfort that lives with you all day.
Not just the moment you get home. Head to CozyEarth.com and use my code Shady for an exclusive 20%
off. That's code Shady for an exclusive 20% off. And if you see a post-purchase survey, mention that
heard about Cozy Earth right here. Comfort lives here. Thank you to Cozy Earth for sponsoring
today's episode. Well, no travel is safe anymore. No. Because if you guys haven't heard this,
there's a cruise ship that's currently trapped out at sea because of the hauntavirus. This is a nightmare
situation. Truthfully, I don't know if I was under a rock, but I feel like I did not realize that
COVID was the same situation, like supposedly it was on a cruise ship.
This is me and that, that reaction is me in real time figuring out it started on a cruise ship.
That's what I didn't know that.
I didn't know that.
They're like, this is the same thing all over again.
Like, this is how it happened last time.
I didn't know that.
And so fact check that if you'd like, but I'm pretty sure that's what, that's what I've heard now.
And so the hanta virus is similar in nature of that.
It like comes from animals.
and that's how like spreads is through like rodent feces and all that.
No, I'm literally processing the fact that COVID also started on a cruise ship because in my mind,
I said, you know what, at least this time it started on a cruise ship and they are almost in a way
quarantined on that ship currently.
Fact or fiction.
Okay.
So it didn't start there, but basically it was a problem.
the major hotspots for the virus spreading in February of 2020.
Cruise ships were hot spots for the virus, which had a massive outbreak there off the coast of
Japan, becoming the largest cluster outside of China where it did originate at the time.
So I guess, yeah, this is what people were like.
This is how it kind of like spread out of the origin of where it usually is.
And so the hontovirus is through rodent like feast.
urine.
But there are certain strains of it that can spread from human to human.
And now that's why this is such a big deal because they think that's what's happening
because they haven't really found the source of this virus yet.
But they're thinking it's the one that can spread from human to human, which is a very
serious illness.
And I think the rate of like not, of being fatal is very high.
if it's the human to human one.
So, no, it's, and you know what?
You know what I heard?
And I don't know, I just backtracked me.
But I heard that this cruise ship was taking the people aboard to rural islands in places
where this virus is at and that it could have been contracted while they were like out
exploring on the islands because I know that they've been like checking the bow and they're like
we can't find any like that would be like cause to believe like that this is where it started so it could
have easily started when they were out exploring the wilderness I just there are so many things that I could
say about like first of all this is genuinely I don't I've never been on a cruise I don't know if I could
ever go because no you can straight up just get trapped like they were supposed to there's a hundred and
50 people on board, stranded.
And this was a week trip.
And yeah, I don't think it was a very long trip.
They were only on, like, day, like, three or something crazy.
And they literally are just stuck out there.
They can't imagine you have family.
Yeah.
Like, stop.
Responsibility is at home.
A job.
You're just stuck.
No, I thought about it.
I got there.
I'm like, would I be fired?
Because, like, they could be quarantined out there for, like, up to two months.
I don't know.
That's what they said.
So they were supposed to.
dock and they were going to have people come on board, check everything out, evaluate all the
passengers, and basically let them off. And then they got blocked. So it was, as of May 26,
2026, it's still currently acreed offshore. It has not been allowed to dock. The Spanish government
in Madrid gave permission for the ship to dock in the Canary Islands, but the local region,
president blocked it and said they cannot come here. I mean, I'd be having a panic attack if I was on
that boat for so many reasons. Same. And that's the problem is, I guess, it has like an eight-week
incubation period or whatever. So, like, if somebody did have it, they could possibly not show
symptoms for up to eight weeks. So now they're saying, like, no one can get off for eight weeks,
but it's going to, hopefully it's not. But it could end up being more than that because obviously,
If people are continuously to get it, then that's eight weeks from that person.
Yeah, it's just adding on another eight weeks.
Right.
So it's just never ending.
I mean, the comments on the videos talking about these are crazy about the shit.
What?
What are they saying?
Well, that's where they live now.
You are home.
Like, I people.
Obviously, we don't.
Crazy in the comments.
Obviously, you don't want another pandemic.
But truthfully, like, I'm just envisioning myself being.
stuck on a ship.
No, and then you're like, you're spiraling, like, does this ship have enough food?
Like, enough, like.
Somebody would, like, drop it or something.
Would that?
I mean, maybe.
What would they have a helicopter?
Probably.
Probably.
And drop some stuff.
Yeah, or, like, send, like, a little boat out with it, like, to them.
Yeah, maybe.
They have to have a plan for that.
That would be, I would be panicking about that.
I'd be panicking about my job, my family.
And just knowing that you're stuck on a boat.
boat with a...
No, and it's not like you're just
freely wandering the boat.
You're trapped. You're sequestered to your room.
Which, like, in some cases, like,
you could be, like, I've already heard, like,
people talk about, like, going on truth because I'm not
a cruise person. I went on one
when I was younger. But, like,
some rooms, there's no windows
in those rooms. Like, not all rooms
necessarily have, like, a balcony
where you can go out, get, like, fresh air.
So you're basically in solitary confinement.
In some cases, in some cases,
I don't know the makeup of this ship, but, and I mean, if there's 250, I mean, it's smaller than like.
One of the big cruise ships, but so I hope that there's no people in rooms without windows.
I was kind of thinking about, like, these people, this was supposedly like a luxury, smaller cruise.
Oh my God.
These people probably thought, like, okay, we're doing the right thing.
We're not going to be with a bunch of people.
It's a small group, whatever.
And now this, like, just, it's the comment.
on TikTok. The comments on TikTok, do you know what they'd say that? You know, it's usually like
being broke saved my life again. Oh my gosh. That's what they said about that submarine that went
under. Well, hopefully it gets solved and is cleared up. I hope so because those poor people
out on that bow. No, I feel very bad. That is horrendous. Well, apparently we all need to stop traveling,
but need to start attending more concerts.
Maybe.
Because there's a thing going around now called blue dot fever,
which sounds like a virus, but it's not.
That sounds very alarming.
It's different, though.
Different kind of alarm.
Not being able to sell tickets to concerts.
They're calling it that because on Ticketmaster,
when you don't sell tickets,
it's like blue dots everywhere.
Just availability.
Availability.
And this is like,
multiple artists lately have had to cancel
their tours like I've seen a lot of
Megan Trainer like she had to cancel hers
and people were like giving her a bunch of crap about that
because she wasn't selling his
Zane and then Post Malone
which like I was kind of shocked about that one but then I thought about it
I'm like he has toured quite a bit like
yeah in the recent years
that's true so I feel like a lot of his fans already like went
and they're like don't want to pay again
the post he can
Cat dolls, which is shocking because I feel like they literally...
Just announced it.
They just announced it and I feel like what they like reformed as a group specifically for this tour.
Now what?
You know?
I feel like maybe they thought more of the nostalgia would be there.
But it did seem like it all happened very quickly.
Like I feel like they almost need to like...
And maybe they did.
And maybe I'm just out of a little.
Give it a minute.
Like release a new song or two, like gain some traction and then like...
release like a tour but i feel like for them specifically they i because i do like usher when he
went on his tour again he's coming back is he a lot of people were like i think that was like the
nostalgia that people love nostalgia yeah down for and with the pussycat dolls it just i feel like
it has been so long of nothing and them like announcing that they were getting back together was like
okay cool let's see what they do and then it was like we're doing a tour with like half the group yeah so
like I feel like there needed to be other steps that were like maybe missed on that yeah but what I actually
saw was a creator on TikTok named Dion whose theory was that a lot of these artists think that they're
going to sell more because they have like inflated streaming numbers because like Megan trainer for example
a lot of public spaces like play Megan trainer or the radio will
play. So it's like inflated streaming numbers versus it's not showing the real
data. Real fans that are streaming the music. So she may be getting like a lot of streams
because that's a really good take. His example is like Planet Fitness. Like Planet Fitness is
playing so much music 24 hours a day, seven days a week, they're playing music. And it's not people
choosing it. It's just whatever station they put on. So if they're inflating these numbers a crazy
amount compared to like a person what we listen to like an hour of music a day two hours of music a day
yeah maybe in a fitness has 24 hours of music a day every single day yeah so i feel like
megan trainer specifically like that's a good example for because i feel like she has like a lot of radio
hits that would be played in that kind of a gym or the supermarket yes like random public spaces
yeah just put on a station so he was saying like a lot of these artists are getting the streaming numbers
but it's not necessarily from fans.
And then they're booking larger venues
when maybe they could use, you know,
something smaller.
I don't know.
Ticket prices don't help.
People need to figure out,
somebody needs to figure out
all the fees that come with,
Ticketmaster.
I thought they were going to do that a while ago.
I know.
And this whole thing,
they were going to be sued
and all this stuff.
And then nothing ever came of it.
Maybe Blue Dot Fever will,
well bring them back to reality.
Hopefully.
It's a pretty shitty situation
with Ticketmaster.
It always has been.
But let's get into some shady stories.
Starting with Shady Story Number 1.
When my daughter was three, we lived in the busy, bustling neighborhood of Wicker Park in Chicago.
She and I had gone grocery shopping, and when we returned, I parked on the street outside of our apartment as usual.
I got her out of the car, and she was standing next to me as I was grabbing the groceries from the trunk.
Included in my groceries was my husband's six-pack of beer, not in a bag.
As I grabbed the six-pack, something pierced one of the cans, and the beer started spraying everywhere.
I was 38 at the time, but my 21-year-old instincts took over, and my only in first thought was to cover the hole with my mouth and shotgun gum the beer.
I mean, what's worse? Having a three-year-old get soaked with the beer?
So there I am, at 11 a.m. on a busy city street, shotgunning a beer next to a three-year-old.
She was spared getting sprayed with booze.
No beer was wasted, and I had a slight buzz, and nobody reported me.
me wins all around she's only 10 now but i can't wait to tell her this story one day i love that
that was the first thought yeah the gut instinct okay i'm gonna simply have to shotgun this way i mean
like i feel like it's one of those things where it's just like muscle memory and your body just
reacts in a way i mean there was no delay there because truly there couldn't be you can't like
once that happens there's no other choice that's actually hilarious to me
I unfortunately don't think I could do that.
I wouldn't know if I've ever.
I've shot gun like a seltzer in my time, I think, but like not that successfully.
I have tried.
Never a beer.
I have tried and it ends up just me drinking out of the can sideways for 20 minutes.
And I'm like, this is not fun for me.
Like I feel like whenever I've tried like I end up like losing a bunch out of like the top part of the can.
And then it's just like...
Yeah, it's a situation.
And it's, I say that as if it's been,
it's been at least a couple years
since I've attempted such a task.
I would say it's been a very long time since I tried.
And I was never successful.
No.
Honestly, props to you.
And it was a win all around.
Yeah.
Mad respect for that.
Shady story number two.
I was in this group chat that I genuinely thought
I was a part of a core group in.
Like I was active in.
sending memes, reacting fast, always replying, always in the mix when people were talking about
plans. In my head, I was very much so, these are my people category. And then one day, I'm just
slightly off. I don't respond for a few hours, nothing crazy. Later that day, I started noticing
people making plans that I never saw being discussed. Not in a shady obvious way, just very casually,
like, yeah, we already talked about this in the other chat.
So I ask about it and that's when I find out that there's a second group chat.
Not even a dramatic, we made a new one without you announcement,
just a smaller separate chat that apparently existed for actual planning and logistics.
And what really got me is I'm sitting there and realizing it's not just that I wasn't added,
it's that I didn't even know there was a whole tier above the group chat I was in.
Like I thought I was in the main circle, but there was apparently more intentional,
more real decision to happen here version of the same friend group operating in parallel.
So I know, so now I'm just kind of sitting with it and I'm trying to figure out when that split even happened.
What was the criteria and why was I trusted with memes and casual conversations,
but not actual plans.
And nobody ever really explains it.
It just exists.
So I have to ask, is this shady or is this just a normal group chat hierarchy that I'm
being dramatic about?
Dude.
So when I read this one, I was kind of like, all right, I feel I'm in a lot of group chats.
Yes.
But I do feel that there always is like a larger chat that starts.
And then they just taper off.
smaller groups and it's never like this one sounds like kind of screwed up because like if they're
also not including you in plans right then it's like and then talking about those plans in yeah i mean like
oh we already figured this message that is a little sauce and shady for sure but in regular if that wasn't
going on i feel like that happens all the time because even for me like sometimes there are people that
like i need to ask specific topics about or something right and then like that just makes sense
It doesn't make sense to keep putting it in the group, the bigger group message.
Right.
Sometimes you have to sidebar.
Yeah.
You have to sidebar.
And also, I will say, I feel like, you know, sometimes group chats happen a little more, like,
naturally, organically in, like, in less of a, like, intentional, like, oh, well, we're going to start one with just these people.
I mean, that does seem like something that would have.
I mean, I would also be curious, like, age of the person in the situation.
Yeah.
I feel like high school or college, sometimes it could be a little more like shady,
shady, intentional.
I feel like at our age, I feel like sometimes group chats just like naturally happen or like, like,
you said, you naturally have to like ask somebody like a follow up question or something
to that nature.
Yeah, because I feel like now what happens is everyone's trying to make a plan and a bigger message.
It's everyone can't go because we all have things going on.
So then the people who actually go to the plan, let's say there's six of us in the big chat,
but four people only go.
right something happens at that you talked about a topic you said we talked about something in there then we're
we're gonna say it in the message with just the four of us and not six of us and it's not like a continued
conversation right unless you're back in that group again for some reason and then like right the chat again
about something right and then you revive it and you're like oh I forgot about we already had a group chat with
these four people in it if this is like a continued thing that's a little bit different right so in this
Unfortunately, I feel like it is a little bit shady.
So you're not wrong.
Shady story number three.
For a little context, I moved to London, United Kingdom on my own when I was 23.
New country, new language, and I had to start everything from scratch with no one or very little
help.
Fast forward a couple of years, I was living in a sharehouse, had met friends, and even started
using a dating app.
I matched with this guy and we talked for a few weeks and decided to go on a date.
When I first saw him that day, it was already a big red flag, and he looked very different from his photos.
After about 20 minutes, and right after we had only placed our order, he started talking about having me over to his apartment,
how he could afford a two-bedroom place in London and how he had a lot to offer and all that stuff.
My brain and my gut were both like, hell no.
A few drinks in, he started telling me how I could move into his place and take the second bedroom,
and that it would allow us to figure out what we wanted to do next.
reminder, I was barely 25 at the time and getting very creeped out by all of this.
I tried to change the subject and we ended up talking about football, soccer.
I mentioned how I had never been to a Champions League game.
At that point, I had already decided I was going to ghost him after the date,
something I'm not usually a fan of, but when you get that creeped out, you just can't ignore it.
The next morning he texted me inviting me to a Chelsea Champions League game.
I felt horrible, but I accepted and thought maybe it would be a nice evening.
Well, it wasn't.
It ended up being one of the worst dates of my life.
I ghosted him after that.
Fast forward five years later, I'm sitting with my friends over cocktails talking about our worst dates.
I bring up this guy how creepy he was and how I felt bad using him for the game instead of being honest.
Keep in mind between that game and this conversation five years had passed.
And then literally the very next day, five years later, he texts me out of nowhere.
The timing freaked me out so bad.
What kind of trick is that from the universe?
I don't know, but I've locked his number immediately.
It's crazy because I feel like this is so real and this genuinely does happen all the time.
Like you'll bring up somebody from like randomly,
someone you maybe had not spoken to spoken about in years.
And then all of a sudden they text you or they pop up in the world or you see them out and about.
I feel like this always happens where like we will randomly bring up somebody or
or somebody will be in my dream.
I forgot, like, they'll be in my dream randomly.
Yeah.
And then you know what always happens next?
You see them in public?
No, they pop up on my Facebook suggested friends or something weird.
And I'm like, first the internet?
Why?
Like, where did this come from?
Like, it's so random.
It is.
No, and then I'm like, is meta literally, like, in our dreams.
No, I think about that sometimes because sometimes I'll think about, like,
somewhere I want to eat dinner or, like, something that sounds good.
Or like, I don't know.
just random, random things that like I have not like Google searched or like type to somebody or
set on a phone.
I should you not.
That happens to me.
That does happen.
Maybe we are in a simulation.
I don't know.
Dun dun.
I or whatever.
But yeah, that's, that is creepy.
But I do feel like that happens.
It's very weird and good thing you blocked him.
But.
It's some wild.
We have some more shadiness to continue in the Patreon bonus content.

So if you want to see that, join us in the Patreon bonus content.
If not, we will see you guys for the last episode of the season next week.
