Hello and welcome back to the podcast.
We have a lot to debrief with you guys this week because we did our first in-person event with some of you guys that got to come out on Friday.
And we also just have some Detroit stuff to debrief with you guys.
We went to a concert.
If you're watching, you can see we're in our matching merch.
So yeah, let's get into our pop-up event.
because we did give only like a 24-hour notice.
So in our minds, we definitely thought that, like,
maybe nobody would go.
I would say it was a fear, but it was also, like,
a little bit of a relief because we were very nervous about this event.
And so we were thinking we were just going to go, maybe, like,
meet one or two people.
I thought maybe 10 people, me.
And I thought, like, five of them were going to be our friends.
Correct. I thought we were just going to chill, hang out, mozy about the trailer.
And we did all those things, but there actually ends up being a lot of people that came out.
So if you were one of them, thank you so much for coming.
We had a lot of people who drove from like Canada and some other places.
So that was really fun to meet everyone in person.
And I feel like it just couldn't have gone better, honestly, for our first thing.
Truly.
We got to talk to so many people.
and just literally, I don't know, have fun with everyone.
So maybe in the future, I'm saying maybe in the future, but like definitely at some point,
if you guys are interested in doing something again with maybe a little bit more advanced notice this time,
we want to do something again because we had so much fun and it was so good to meet people in person.
So that was that.
And then we also, when we're recording this, yesterday we went to the Megan Maroney.
concert.
Yeah, we did.
Also very, very fun times.
But there was some drama and we need to debrief the entire experience because there
was things that we noticed, things we experienced and just our little girls' day that we
had for ourselves downtown.
So if you want to hear about that, join the Patreon bonus content because we're going
to get into all of that.
And honestly, just our opinions of concerts, I think, lately.
It was my first concert in a couple of years, I would say.
And I don't know.
We have thoughts.
We have thoughts.
We have opinions.
We're ready to talk about it.
So we'll see you there if you want to hear about that.
But let's get into some other stuff about Detroit this week because this video is going viral of a Detroit news anchor for calling her boss a bitch.
And it was on camera.
and it wasn't live, but somebody chose to release the video after the fact.
So it was a former Fox 2 Detroit anchor, Taryn Asher, going viral.
Like, TMZ pick this up.
And all because her and a colleague were arguing over the camera, I guess it was her supervisor.
And when the argument was over and the supervisor walked away, she just let loose.
not realizing that this was going to be used against her, I'm assuming.
But allegedly this actually happened in 2023.
And she was let go in 2024.
So she wasn't even immediately fired over it.
And she ended up suing Fox alleging sex discrimination, retaliation,
that male employees were treated differently.
And Fox disputes the allegations.
But this was an old incident that just recently went viral.
so not sure why it's coming out now.
But I feel like when I saw it,
I did immediately think like
whoever released this
just has something against her
because it wasn't live.
So like no one would have ever seen that.
That's what I was wondering
because at first I was like,
oh, are they randomly?
Is somebody from, you know, off camera going to say
we're rolling, we're report,
like we're on air, something to that extent?
Like I thought maybe it would be one of those type of moments
where, oh, shit.
We didn't realize we were live.
No, the person who ever released it is just shady and was like waiting for their moment.
I feel like this happened sometimes though.
Like I'll randomly see something.
I'm like, oh, wow, someone really went out of their way to like not like this person and release this for like no reason.
So yeah, very interesting to see that going viral.
And also in Detroit news that was kind of disappointing, honestly.
It was so disappointing to see.
I was shocked to see this.
we always are you'll see as the season goes on football season comes up we wear our lion's merch
it's like all we wear through the ball it's really all we wear and it's nice it's comfy and usually
it's from Abercrombie but I guess not this year because they just released a lion's crewneck
that is just a giant L in the middle of the crew neck so basically just looks like and a white flag
as if the lions are waving the white flag.
It was just not their best design.
And truly, I think that everything they've put out that's been lions in the past,
like, I just buy it.
I'm looking at the site as we speak.
It's such good quality.
It's super cute.
And what's very disappointing about this is it is their new mock neck, which, you know,
I love a mock neck.
So given the design was slightly different.
I probably would have purchased it.
However, that's what I'm saying.
Like, I don't think there's ever been something on there that I haven't bought.
And I wish I wasn't that way, but I usually am.
We are like, on it.
Whenever they have new drops, it's the first thing to go into our text.
But here's the thing.
Like, I feel that Abercombe did randomly kind of get into like the NFL merch.
And it was a couple years ago.
They were ahead of the curve.
They were ahead of the curve, but I am kind of always thinking when I look that they do the lions dirty like every time compared to some of their other designs.
I just feel like it's not always as cute as some of the other ones.
I feel like Kansas City always get super cute stuff.
Their stuff is really, really good.
The bills usually have really good stuff as well.
There are a few teams that I kind of always feel that way.
like even with basketball, I'll notice that like other teams will get like some really cute designs and then I'll try to find something for like the pistons and I'm like, why the hell is there something not as cute? Yeah. Like what do you guys really have against? Um, and even some of the ones that have come out, um, specifically for women to be like some better options. Sometimes I just don't have Detroit teams. I'm like, dude. No, that's very true. Come on. We get forgotten.
about quite often and I don't understand how that's happening.
Well, when we win, we'll show everybody this year.
And it actually reminds me that was some of the people that we met at the pop-up were talking
about the lions and like wearing lion stuff.
And one of the little kids that was there was saying that every night he praised
that the lions will win.
I love that.
So hopefully that comes true.
And also, in another seemingly L for Metro Detroit,
some restaurants were visited by Gordon Ramsey for his show Kitchen Nightmares.
And I don't know how this happened, and we had, we'd no idea.
I'm kind of glad.
I was thinking about this.
I'm kind of glad.
And I don't know if I would really ever want to watch Kitchen Nightmares because it's kind of like, what you don't know doesn't hurt.
Yeah, that's true.
And then once you start to see things that are happening in certain restaurants, you're like,
ooh, I'm out to eat.
Is that happening here?
Yeah.
In this case, it was the Boodle's restaurant.
The one that aired this week was the Boodles restaurant.
It's a 40-year-old Oakland County staple.
And it was more so just like facing massive debt.
They had a dated menu.
And it was like a father-son dynamic of their relationship that they were like
highlighting on the show.
And Gordon Ramsey like whatever overhauled it.
And now it's supposedly, you know, like,
better and not having issues, but there's another one coming up on the season finale.
From Detroit.
From Detroit.
From Metro Detroit, it's Forensies restaurant and pizzeria and Warren.
So be interested to see that.
I feel like maybe they just kind of like pick cities and that's why like multiple restaurants got on it.
It's got to be.
I feel like they probably go to like a few different hubs when they're filming for each season.
That's just kind of how they make their choice.
Yeah, they go to a couple different restaurants in the same area.
Maybe even they film them like throughout the same like maybe like two week period or whatever it is.
Dude, we had a restaurant experience.
So we'll talk about that on Patreon.
I said which one.
Well, we're not going to.
We're not going to out them here.
We can only tell our friends on Patreon.
Or if anyone reads my Yelp reviews.
That's true too.
It was a Yelp review situation.
And that has only happened like a handful of other times in my life.
I can honestly say I've never had written a Yelp review, but I know you two write them.
Yeah.
So we'll be sharing that experience on the Patreon.
And I really don't watch like Kitchen Nightmare.
I don't know.
I feel like I haven't been watching a lot of reality TV, but.
I don't watch too many cooking shows.
What I will be watching.
That's coming out September 4th.
Earl meets World.
I am very excited for this.
I am glad it's one of these situations where, like,
I knew this was happening.
I knew the Alex Earl was getting her Netflix reality show,
but I feel like I haven't heard about it in a while,
and it was one of those things where I was just like, okay, whatever.
I'm glad that now that we know it's not, like, so far away.
Because, you know, like, sometimes they announce stuff,
like, way too far in advance.
And then, like, again, it kind of loses the steam.
Like, I'm just like, dude,
I don't care.
Forever.
Yeah.
But this one's coming out in September 4th, so in not that long.
It's going to be eight episodes, unscripted series, unscripted series.
That's fine.
And so, yeah, it's going to be like her family, relationships, career, life behind the scenes.
A couple of the little, like, clips I saw for the trailer had, like, some stuff with
Braxton in it, which is, like, her ex-boyfriend.
I think we talked a little bit about that situation on here before.
So I'm interested to see this.
I feel like the only other reality TV that I started watching recently is the House of Stasi.
I've heard good things.
And I was like hooked for a couple episodes.
Were you really?
I just had other things.
But like really maybe not broke down the third wall or fourth wall, whatever that saying is.
But that people were saying they're like.
House of Stasi producers understand that we are smart reality TV watchers.
Like, and so I didn't watch yet, so I don't know what they mean by that.
I'm not that far and so like maybe I haven't seen that yet.
I haven't seen anything like that different, I would say, from like.
I don't know why in my head.
I was like, this is groundbreaking reality TV.
I mean, I like it.
And also we've talked about like Banner Pump rules, that whole war.
Stasi was a big part of that.
And so, like, now she's doing her own show.
Is it on Bravo?
No.
I think it's on Hulu.
Probably.
I think it's on Hulu.
So, yeah, I actually did start watching that.
And I do recommend if you are part of that whole, like, Vanderpump lore thing.
And you used to watch Stasi because it's interesting.
It's like her life now, her family and what she's up to.
And honestly, her podcast, too, which I didn't realize she had a podcast somehow.
I feel like I knew
I feel like my mom listens to it
well yeah she does
like shows
live shows she does she
does some big stuff and
yeah I thought it was interesting
it shows a lot of like her traveling
for her podcast stuff and
that's cool yeah
very cool
recommend hopefully this Alex meets
world
I'll have to say Earl meets world
is not
Did I call it Alex Means Whirl?
Alex means world?
I just, I'm very excited about it.
I love Alex Earle.
I really started to like her from Dancing with the Stars last season.
That's when I became like, oh my gosh.
I just feel like I got to like learn more of her personality because I'd seen some of her
TikToks here and there.
But then watching live every week, I was like, oh my gosh, she has such a hard work ethic.
She's kind.
But have you seen like in the last few months?
I feel like the discourse on her has been a little bit negative.
Yeah, I don't understand where that's coming from.
So I feel like I did notice a little bit of a change in like her content in the last few months.
It's more like her kind of like honestly, it's kind of like where she started.
Truthfully, it's like more partying going out.
Trips vacation.
Yeah.
And people are just like not liking it for some reason, which I'm like, this is how she started.
What are you even like surprised about?
That was her whole thing.
People are saying it's not relatable anymore.
I was going to say, I think I've seen those comments as well.
But, like, was it that relatable before when she was at the University of Miami?
And I feel, I mean, I guess maybe if it was like college-age people, but we weren't in college at University of Miami when she was on the come-up.
I don't know.
I see this online a lot.
And I feel like I don't know how I feel about it personally.
But it does happen where everybody like.
Everybody, like, builds up a creator and, like, wants them to be successful and, like, loves them and then gives them the success.
But then when, like, they actually have the success, they're, like, pissed at them for having the success.
And it's like, you're not relatable anymore.
It's like, well, what did you think was going to happen when they got successful?
It's like...
Respectfully, respectfully, I am under the impression that her family was well off from the start.
They were.
And she was going on trips and...
Maybe not to this magnitude.
It's probably accelerated a lot now that she's influencing content creation, what have you, all the brand deals.
But it's not like her life was super relatable from the start.
I mean, I mentioned like the U Miami thing, I guess that's not like, but like she came from a family with money where they'd go on big trips and things like that.
So.
Yeah, I just didn't get that.
And also it's like summer and she just was like you said, she launched a skincare brand.
She was on dancing with stars.
She's been working for a second.
Let her have fun.
I just don't get that.
But I am curious to see if there will be any mention of the other Alex, Alex Cooper with their drama.
Because that was all kind of hinted at when this show first got like announced and talked about.
Then it was like, okay, is she going to address this Alex Cooper drama that she hasn't yet.
So I guess we'll see.
and we will update on that.
I don't think it's going to be as straightforwardly addressed as she made it seem like.
I think it's going to be a very well-thought-out approach to how that situation is represented on this show.
I think so, too.
I think it will be, it'll be thought through, strategic, and that's fine with me.
I mean, that's kind of the point in when you're doing a reality show like this.
Again, you get to make your own press.
You get to build your own store.
I mean, if you're a producer on it, if you're not a producer, best of luck to you.
I'm sure they are.
That was actually, back to the House of Stasi thing, that was actually something that I saw a lot of people commenting on was like, why would she, like, put this out and...
Oh, because it was painting her in a bad light.
Because it was painting her in a bad light, but she's always been, like, the villain.
Yeah.
Even on Vanderpump, she was like the villain, but everyone liked her for it.
Yeah.
So I feel like that was kind of like the point here.
She was leaning into it.
Yeah.
And also, I, she's been in this business for so long.
She knows, like, you got to get people talking about the show and like watching the show.
How was like, if it was just her happy go lucky family life, like, oh, this is what I'm doing.
Like, it's not as, people want to see the drama.
So for her, it was like her family.
And here, I'm assuming for Alex Earle, it's going to be a similar.
her situation, especially just with like her parents being divorced, but they're both on the show.
And I'm just interested to see. And I know they've been playing up a little bit. I don't know
if you've seen this on TikTok too. Between Alex and her sister. They have had at least three or
maybe it was two or three or four might be an exaggeration. Strategic TikToks of them being
upset because Alex left her sister's apartment, Ashton's, a mess. And it. And it's, and
It was like, I swear it was like every month on the dot, it's like, here's another video of them like having drama.
It's funny though, too, because growing up with sisters, like, watching that and like seeing some of the people's comments, like, oh my guys, like taking one side of the other.
It's so funny.
Like, no, that is just sisters being sisters.
Correct.
There's no real drama there, but people are creating like real drama out of it.
Like, I cannot believe.
And I'm sure we will see all of that.
on the show.
Yeah, I'm excited to...
I am as well.
Oh, what I was going to say was,
I don't think I like the title, Earl Meets World.
Like, the play on Boy Meets World, Girl Meets World.
I'm like, it's just too...
I mean, like, I totally understand the play on words there.
I just...
I feel like they could have done something better.
Yeah, it just, when I think of that,
when I hear Earl Meets World,
it just simply all I can think of is boy meets world.
And this is not...
Not.
thing like that.
Yeah, it's not, I don't know.
Yeah, I'm not too sure about that, but I don't think it's going to matter in the end.
No, it won't.
It really won't.
But going back to the Alex thing, so Alex Earle has her Netflix show coming out.
Wow.
Her enemy.
Her enemy?
Her nemesis.
When I was writing the snow and I was thinking of like a transition of like Alex to
Alex, I'm like, I wanted to write like, her enemy.
Her enemy.
But that's like such a Disney word.
But maybe it's because we're going to talk about Disney a little bit.
So I don't know if that's what was on my mind.
But like I've done this multiple times recently, though, where you're like, I've called
somebody like someone that they didn't like an enemy.
And Evan's like, why are you saying an enemy?
Like, are we?
The kids like to say in a movie.
Like to say op these days.
So maybe we'll go with that.
I'm too unc for that.
Oh, I don't.
I don't know that one.
Huh?
Isn't that, like, uncool?
Like...
I hope not, is it?
Oh.
I also heard that the kids are using the word polyester for if they think something
like cheap or, like, not good.
Like, not good quality.
I fear majority of my closet is probably...
Oh, yeah.
Polyester.
Easily.
But that's what they're saying.
Yikes.
Probably while wearing polyester.
We should discuss more about the generational gap when we...
are on the Patreon.
Oh my gosh.
We have things to say.
So yeah, so while Alex Earle is getting her Netflix show,
Alex Cooper is having not as good of a time.
Her unwell drink is coming to an end.
I think we all saw that coming, unfortunately.
Dude, I never tried it.
I didn't either.
Honestly, she might get like a bump in sales because I'm like,
kind of want to like just like.
Just to try it because it's going out.
Yeah, just to like see what it was.
That's kind of how I feel right now.
like, was it that bad?
Because I saw some people on TikTok
doing reaction videos or trying them.
Yeah.
And genuinely gagging.
And I'm like, oh, so what the?
Maybe.
Maybe it was bad.
It's that bad?
I mean, I don't know if it was or not,
but apparently they're releasing a Halloween-themed drink
and then that's going to be like the last release.
Maybe I'll try the Halloween one for the heck of it.
But I know everybody, when this was initially announced,
was like, why would you name a drink unwell?
Who wants to drink something called unwell?
And I could see, like, I feel like maybe what they were going for is like,
you drink this when you feel unwell, help yourself feel better.
But I just don't think it ever landed.
So I've seen, when it first came out,
I saw a lot of people giving their opinions about just like how much better the branding
and naming could have went for this.
Kind of like we just did for the Earl Mints World thing.
They were like coming up with other things that could have been named,
other ways that they could have marketed it.
And I think that was a big part of it.
Like you said, who wants to drink something called Unwell?
And then literally people are gagging when they're doing it.
It's just tough.
Not the vibe.
But I can't really say if it was bad or not.
Yeah, hard to say.
I don't know.
But I do think that they could have done something different with marketing.
And it's surprising to me because I think,
I feel like in every other aspect,
she's been so good at marketing and branding and, like,
creating this brand.
That love overboard show.
I don't know if that did too hot.
I guess I don't even really know about it.
That was her.
Like a reality show?
Like a reality show on a cruise ship.
Gabby Wendy hosted.
I love her.
I do as well.
It's great.
So funny.
But, yeah, I don't know if that show is.
was getting renewed per se.
Interesting.
I mean, you're going to try stuff and it's going to fail at some points.
You know how many businesses the Kardashians started and they did not land?
So we're good.
I don't think overall it's going to impact anything like for as far as her success goes,
but it's just interesting of the timing like this is failing and this news is coming out of it.
It's like going away at the same time.
It's like, it's like, why do we have to.
The storylines are right themselves.
It's the two girls against each other.
But we'll be keeping up with all that drama on the Netflix show.
I'm sure we'll see some stuff about Alex Cooper on there too.
And then Brittany has some information to share about...
Britney has some Disney update.
D23, my God.
Oh, my gosh.
That's how much I know, you guys.
Yeah.
So take it away.
maybe some of these new movies we could talk about.
Yeah, there's a lot of exciting stuff coming out of D23.
It's the ultimate fan event held in Anaheim, California.
Happens about every two years.
I think we talked about it before.
We did.
We talked about it two years ago because that was when they initially announced
Villainsland and the Monsters Inc.
land coming to Disney World.
I know, both really exciting.
We got major updates on both.
I didn't put them in here, but with Villainsland, they announced that it's officially going to be called.
Sometimes they'll give something like Harry Potterland.
This is not.
Harry Potterland is universal, not Disney, not to be confused.
But it's called the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
But people just call it Harry Potterland.
In Disney, villains's land.
I mean, it could have had a fun name, but they said they made this big dramatic thing.
We're calling it Villainsland.
So, I digress.
That's what everyone would have.
called it anyways, but there is going to be a maleficent roller coaster.
I believe that there's going to be a dark ride that's going to revolve around Snow White's
Magic Mirror.
But a lot of really cool stuff coming to that.
And then Monsters Incland confirmed Harry Housins, the sushi restaurant.
Sushi restaurant that they go to.
Oh my gosh.
That's genius.
Confirmed.
And Monsters Incland is going to be opening up in 2027, which is really exciting.
So it'll be...
How are you about to do that that soon?
No, it's happening really quick.
Carrie Housins, the sushi restaurant will open a emporium,
Scare Emporium, I think that's shopping, things like that.
They're going to have a glob theater, so like a little show.
But the big, like, main attraction is a suspended roller coaster with the doors.
That's not opening yet.
I don't know if they gave us a timeline on when that will come out.
But big exciting stuff.
The thing is with something like that, like Monster Zink,
really was our time. I love Monster Zink. That is. And I'm glad that this is happening now,
but doesn't it feel like so delayed? Like, are kids even going to be. Oh, yeah.
Aware of Monster Zinc? Kids will be aware. Well, we'll make our kids watch. And that's the
thing is a lot of people who have kids right now are showing them the classic. True, true. The good
stuff. And speaking of the classics, Incredibles 3 is confirmed coming out in 2028.
Love that.
Coco is having a second movie, which, you know, it's mixed reviews on if that really needed a second movie or not.
You know, when I saw a lot of mixed reviews on was the live action tangled.
Yeah?
I saw that on my TikTok and I was like, did you?
What are people saying?
Well, what I will say is that that was one of my comfort shows in high school.
Or comfort movies.
It's still a comfort movie of mine.
Like, I used to rewatch it.
Like, if I stayed home from school sick, I do.
don't know why, that was what I was watching.
I love tangled.
But I just saw mixed reviews.
Like, some people were like, oh, I really pictured this person as.
Yeah, there was a lot of fan casting.
Or, yeah, like, getting, like, mad about who was cast or who wasn't cast.
Oh, I believe it.
So, very interesting.
Lots of, yeah, it looks like a lot of new movies are coming out.
Tons, tons.
We'll have lots to discuss and watch with Elliot.
We will.
We sure will.
Also, speaking of D-23, or is that what I'm saying it, right?
D-23.
The ultimate fan event.
The Jonas Brothers were named legends at the event.
They sure were.
They have a ceremony at the tail end of the weekend.
And they were recognized, Ann Hathaway was recognized,
Dwayne Johnson, Bob Iger,
when Manuel Miranda, Miranda,
lots of really great legends.
but the Jonas Brothers getting the honor.
I've seen so many clips of them with like the Mickey ears on and like.
Really?
Apparently they had a note.
Somebody in the comments was like, I could see the teleprompter.
It told him that they could take the ears off.
But Joe kept his on.
He's just keeping on all the things.
The cowboy hats, the ears, burning up all the things.
Well, they're going on tour again.
Correct.
Speaking of nostalgia, they are bringing back the 2008.
iconic burning up tour, but this time it's going to be called burning up again.
When's the last time they took arrest?
Maybe 10 years ago, I don't know.
I feel like they've been doing so much.
And we talked about this before, not that long ago, where we're like, are they just like doing everything right now?
Correct.
And they are.
And now your- Camp Back 3 just came out.
Yes, that was why we talked about it.
And we were like, dude.
And now this.
Like, don't get me wrong.
I can appreciate the nostalgia for this.
Correct.
However.
I think I went to...
Did we go to the Burning Up Tour?
Yes, I think so.
Yeah.
We were just looking at pictures.
And I'm like, I think that was the tour.
It had to have been the tour.
But people are a little not happy with this decision for this tour.
We're always happy when the Jonas Brothers are coming to.
to town, but initially, this was marketed as like two nights at Madison Square Garden,
burning up tour all over again.
It was only going to be two special nights.
However, they changed their mind or this was, I mean, it was, I had to have been the
plan all along.
This tour is happening this fall.
They announced this week that we are going to have a 45 city tour.
And so some people spent all this money, like, took time off to make their way to New York this weekend to see them burn up all over again.
Whatever. They'll get to see it first.
Yeah, they'll be a part of something special.
They'll get to go to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey's wedding venue, which is...
Millions of other people.
Which is amazing in itself.
Maybe you should go to that one.
Maybe I should go to that one?
I can't get there that quickly.
Well, that's exciting.
I am always going to be a fan of something nostalgic, so we shall see how it goes.
But that's really it for this week, except we've got some good shady stories.
So let's get into it.
I feel like we haven't done shady stories forever.
I know it feels like a kind of lifetime.
Okay. Shady story number one.
I'm no longer in contact with someone who I know is still sleeping with a married man.
She befriended the wife and kids, they call her aunt now, after crossing those lines,
and I didn't want to cause a scene or have it backfire on me.
It's been almost two years since I spoke to this ex-friend, and I'm still sitting on this
information unsure if I should let the wife know or not.
I've never met the husband or wife.
I've always said I would want someone to tell me, and I still think I would, but to blow up
this woman's life feels almost too heavy to inform her.
I don't know when you said it's been almost two years now.
I said, oh, it's been a year.
I think I figured out how.
No, dude, that is another level of twisted to befriend the wife and kids.
I mean.
And they call her aunt now.
Yeah.
They say keep your friends close.
Keep your enemies close.
Oh, sir.
No, dude.
I can't fathom that.
I feel like...
That's diabolical.
In this situation,
you had to not be her friend anymore.
Have you ever considered typing up a letter
and saying
last night at...
What is it? Last night, I should know this.
The Jersey Shore letter.
Oh my gosh.
Yes, last night at...
Why do I keep wanting to call the club
they went to bed?
It's not bed.
Jersey Shore letter.
I know exactly we're talking about.
Honestly, an anonymous letter may be what needs to happen.
But I fear that if this is going on for two years and the wife still doesn't know, like, that is a very long time for, like, this to still be happening.
It's very twisted to befriend them and have them call her aunt.
What's the letter say?
Oh my gosh.
Chat's being annoying.
It's giving me, like, all the details about it, but not the letter.
letter. You know what? Google won't fail me.
Wasn't it like on a napkin or something crazy? No, they went.
They went to like a computer lab and typed it up.
Urgy, sure, letter. Dear Sam. Oh, wait, here we go.
Sam, the first night at bed, so I was right. I was like, why doesn't that sound right?
The first night at bed when you left crying, Ron made out with two girls and put his hand
but his head in between a cocktail waitress breast.
Also was grinding with multiple, I can't say this.
We get the point.
Yes.
Multiple women.
This is ridiculous.
But yeah, consider that short, short, sweet to the point.
Yeah.
That is, seemed to work well.
Twisted.
Shady as.
Shady story number two.
When I was 23, when I decided to start dating my same sex,
I was about a year into my relationship when I decided being with a girl was not for me.
When I broke the news to my then girlfriend, she did not take the news well at all.
For her payback, she tried to kiss my older brother, who I think is secretly gay.
So when my brother told me, I got very upset, as you can imagine.
So I tracked down her dad to have sex with him while I videotaped it.
My original plan was to send the recording to my ex-girlfriend,
but I decided it was best to send it to her mom.
Not my finest moment, but it happened.
Love the podcast, ladies.
The way that this was so casually written,
zero to a thousand very quickly.
And mind you,
as I go back and reread,
she mentions that, let's see,
for her paid back, she tried to kiss my older brother.
I don't know if she actually was successful in this.
No, genuinely, it was like, I was upset she tried to kiss my brother.
So I screwed her dad and sent her to her mom and broke her family.
No, literally.
And like, mind you, she was like, I decided this just, you know, it wasn't for me.
Wasn't that like she cheated and we broke up.
No, I decided it wasn't for me.
Then I was not happy with her attempt.
So this is funny too.
So I wrecked your whole life.
My original plan was to send the recording to my ex-girlfriend, but I decided that wasn't enough.
I needed to ruin her family.
We had to go further.
Well, that's interesting.
I mean, thanks for loving the podcast.
I agree that this was probably not the finest moment.
No, but sometimes we simply must take things out of hand.
Too far.
And that is okay.
We don't condone it.
We don't condone those actions necessarily.
But what we do condone is getting your point across.
And you did that for sure.
Shady story number three.
This was Workshade.
My two friends and I used to work at the same company.
We all hated it there.
We all got new jobs within a few months of each other.
but I was the last one to leave.
One Sunday night, we were all hanging out and had maybe a little too much wine.
We were talking about how awful the CEO was at the company and all the usual shit talking.
We decided it would be funny to put a fake ad on Craigslist to prank her.
We decided the story would be that there were free goats in a county nearby.
We changed up some of the info, put her phone number.
It had disappeared from my mind until one day we were all at our staff meeting.
all of a sudden she got a phone call and answered saying she doesn't know why people keep calling her, but she doesn't have goats.
I nearly died. Apparently, she'd gotten a barrage of calls all day long and had no idea why.
She was guessing maybe it was one of her husband's friends or something, and they put her number and not his.
But for the entire week, she got a ton of phone calls about goats at all hours.
I had to sit there and fake sympathy over how annoying it was, knowing that it was entirely my doing.
I left her my new job a week later.
That was like four years ago, but we all still die laughing,
thinking about how annoying it was for her.
Just a bit of harmless payback.
You know, I love some harmless fun.
This is so perfect.
It is.
Because here's a thing, there are a lot of things like they could have put on this Craigslist.
This was just a simple little goat prank.
And also, like, I don't know why that specifically came to mind for them.
No, I kind of love that.
But it's perfect.
Yep.
That concludes this week's episode.
If you have some more shady stories or shady story you want to submit, go to the link in the description and submit those.
So maybe we can read them on next week's episode.
If not, we will see you in the Patreon bonus content to do our Girls Night debrief from this week.
And if not, we'll see you in the next week's episode.
Bye, everyone.
Bye.
