I thought it was kind of like a you situation where you just like put it out there so many times where it feels like you auditioned. We need a statement from Joey. I'll have to reach out again. I actually auditioned. Not auditioned. You auditioned for Finnick too? I interviewed to work at the Academy for the Oscars. And I got to the final two. And I think I did not get the job because they asked like, oh, what is your favorite film? And I think they were probably expecting me to say something like that one of best picture. And I was like catching fire.

I was like, that is my favorite movie. And then I didn't get the job. Oh, very awkward. Wait, what were you interviewing for? To work for the, like do social media for the Academy, which would have been kind of a gag, but also, like, I'm not sure my cinema tastes align with the Academy. Definitely not. Definitely not.

Although the Golden Globes came out. I feel like those are indication of what the Academy Awards. The Golden Globes are so unserious, though. Oh, wait, really? Yes. I thought that was, like. They got canceled. Remember when they got canceled?

No. Oh, yeah. Why? The HFPA. Well, it turns out, this is just is just like a broad summation, but it turns out the HFPA, the Hollywood foreign press association, not very foreign because the voters are mostly white and they were being purchased. Like, um, Netflix flew out a whole bunch of voters to Paris in order to persuade them into nominating Emily in Paris. What?

Is that real? Yes. And then they nominated Emily in Paris. This was when season one had just come out. And after that, everyone was like, how the hell did Emily in Paris get a Golden Globe nomination for like best comedy? Oh. And then all this tea came out.

There was like all these exposés about how they're being bribed and given these expensive trips to get votes and stuff. So they were off the air for like two or three years. Really? Oh, I didn't know. Well, I hear so many things about Emily in Paris. Everyone's like, you need to watch Emily in Paris. So it must have worked.

It's so unserious though. Is it cute? I only watched season one and it was cute, but very unserious. I love the unserious. That should be the podcast. That should be the theme. Because they always make it so broad to get as many celebrities to show up as possible and the golden globes were always the most fun like i remember when i interned and covered the golden globes it's cool because it's at the what is it the beverly hills hilton i want to say yeah and it's cool because afterwards it's just every celebrity is in the lobby like usually celebrities have to like leave and go to to a different venue for the party.

But at the Globes, everything is there. So everyone's just walking around, very tipsy, having fun. I want to go to the Globes this year. How can I go? Can you ask ET if they'll send me as a correspondent? That one, let's go straight to the freaking HFPA. The ones that are bribed? Yeah.

spent, I'm not kidding, on the food and the curtains. We had no entertainment, no flowers. All of a sudden I was just like, wait, what? Like I thought, because it was, we were giving cash, whatever, this whole thing, giving cash to this person helping us. And all of a sudden they're like, oh, that's just the curtains and the food. And they're like, there's no entertainment. There's no flowers. Like that's why we literally had like one flower at our wedding because 20,000 was our budget budget. And that was when we were making money. And by the time the wedding comes around, it's like, we were making way less money. So I was like, what the heck? So we had to come up with like another, what was 150,000 or something in like two weeks, which we did not have. We, honeymoon also like that. So Moses, who had like

great credit at the time, took out all these credit cards and like, we like basically maxed out 50,000 on like three. So we're getting close now to paying them down. But I was like, oh, maybe like we can pay down the credit cards we maxed out for our anniversary because that would be better. Because his credit was so good and now we're trying to get new cars. And now I'm like, now the credit's so bad because all this stuff like that. And he was wonderful because he didn't care about a nice wedding, but he knew I did. And then it ended up not being whatever anyways. So I was like, well, maybe we can pay off a credit card for our anniversary instead of buying whatever.

hunger games and then what he lives obviously no he he wasn't in the hunger games he um mentors like rachel zegler in the game so rachel zegler is the one actually in there fighting and he's like trying to help her win basically are they dating they aren't but they are like they have a love interest yeah love interest it's like a slow build like yeah and what happens does she die no oh it's a mystery she kind of just disappears how he they leave they she wins spoiler alert and then they they plan to like run away if they're running they're fleeing they're gonna go on their own out into the wild. Then he starts being really psychopathic and like, she's like, let me, let me get out. So she's just like, I'll be right back. I'm going to go get something.

But I have a hard time believing these females are winning the Hunger Games. Do you know what I mean? No, but you have to see how it happens. Because even though Jennifer Lawrence is fierce, and I do love her in these movies. I'm not going to lie. I think she is great in these movies. I just have a hard time believing even—well, I didn't see the second one. I don't know how she fights in the second one.

But the first one, I'm sorry. But the second one, she's against all these really—the brother-sister duo and then Finnick. some people out that would probably be my strategy the people that hide i was like that's so smart that's what rachel did yeah oh she was just hiding too she was the original camouflagers because in the second one there was like camouflage people that like were like that's how they won their hunger games i was like that's so smart and then when i saw the person jump out i'm like why the heck would they do that i don't know hunger. Hunger Games 2 is a little unserious, too, with, like, the baboons and the poison fog. And, like, then a force field comes up. I'm like, this is, like, not real at all. Yeah, it is not real.

I think that would be, because we did it for a music video, such a small scale, like on a pool and they were basically like waterboarding us. I know she's a little bit like personal, she's young. So I know she's like on the defense. Like I get that for sure. But I also feel like she can be a little feisty. I said that to you. I was like, I think this person's a little feisty, which is totally, I'm like, I'm always someone that's like, if you dish it out, but was I being mean? I feel like I wasn't being mean, but you can tell me the truth

it's a lot of guys, a lot of guy energy. And they're like so far away. So you kind of feel like you are on the Hunger Games. Like you're being judged by like this panel. Like it just seems like a lot. So the energy could be where I, but yeah. So I was like, to me, I feel like there's like a difference between like judgment and like, just like, okay, here's what I always like to say, right?

Is like, if enough people are telling you something, like for me, it works. Like if someone's like, oh, if the majority is like, you know what, this is like not good. This is not good. And granted, some of the criticism was fair, but so much of it wasn't.

Like so much of it was people who are anti like anti Disney, like anti someone not white playing Snow White. Like there's a lot of like, you know, sexism, racism, like everything. Yeah. So I think she and she just got it so intensely. And now she's coming out of that because Hunger Games was successful and people are kind of like laying off of her a little bit, you know. She looks great, yeah. And Snow White is like so far away. So people are finally like backing off a little bit.

So I think that's kind of where it came from. Like she's finally like seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Right. So she's like, oh my God, bring up this again. I get it. Yeah. And like I guess it's also like the way you read it. Like, now we have, like, a production schedule. And, like, it's more official. So it's harder to retain. Like, you get so much stuff going in and out of your brain. So it's hard to retain. Well, with hot topics, yeah. If we have a guest, she'll wake up at 3, 4 in the morning thinking about the guest and the notes and the research. Like I'll wake up and she's like watching videos, doing research in the middle of the night.

That has been bad lately. So I think like when you're not in the present moment, your head is just running. I know. I need to meditate. You cannot remember what happens in that moment. I haven't done meditation in like once a week when I used to do it every day. But that is bad because my mind will be up and he's like, what are you doing up? And I'm just like really like researching people and like I have to make a note on this. And it's like it is weird. But that is bad because my mind will be up. And he's like, what are you doing up? And I'm just like really like researching people.

Well, State Farm is saying they're not there because I guess there was a claim that they filed against David Dobrik, LLC, about the accident on Reddit. Mad Raz Mataz kind of like broke down because lawsuits are so hard to understand. So this self-proclaimed law nerd like kind of broke it down for like the simpletons like me and said that basically that David tried to have his insurance company pay for the accident. I guess allegedly because it's still in court,

claiming that it was covered by insurance, but it actually wasn't. State Farm is essentially saying that they will not be paying for the damages because it isn't uncovered in the policy. And it appears that David was trying to have his insurance pay out Jeff instead of actually paying from his own pocket. Because remember, David was supposed to be paying for the eye surgeries and stuff. That was a part of their agreement. But if this is the case, it seems that David was trying to evade the accountability after claiming that he would help pay for all the surgeries that Jeff was going through.

What was – what kind of a policy did he have? Is it like a work insurance? Yeah, I guess so. Oh, so he had insurance for his company? For – yeah, David Dobrik LLC had like the State Farm insurance. But they're – so I guess he – that's how he filed the insurance claim to pay off Jeff, allegedly. But they're saying, like, actually, no, like, this is not part of the coverage plan that we had going on. Like, he was just trying to give him cash or pay the hospital bills?
