Starting point is 00:01:00 I was so gay icon gay icon and then he didn't show up at auditions and I was like where were you and they were like my sister said it was gay to do it I was like oh oh oh oh oh oh oh so like well got got apart so her name is Trishy's got the fish and all it got some filthy rich pretty and pink hot topic queen and says what everybody I think she's just strange. Starting point is 00:02:47 All right, here we are today. We have our fabulous co-host, Jimmy Wetzel here taking in. Hello. You're like a co-host now. I feel like there's, like, broke, you know, when Oscar's not available. And we saw Oscar stream. Oscar is booked and busy. He has a very full-time job back home that he cannot travel all the time for.
Starting point is 00:03:05 So we have Jimmy filling in, which you're like, you're like a co-host. You're like, you really are a fourth co-host. Even when you edit, people are like, love Jimmy. I feel like the Wendy Williams shady cameraman. You're Wendy, Oscar's Norman, Moses is Suzanne because she handles the camera and on the shady camera. That is so true. I try not to be too shady, though, because we do want guests on the podcast.
Starting point is 00:03:28 You have the most control. And you have the last say Yeah, I kind of I do make some executive decisions sometimes I try not to go too crazy I leave pretty much everything And for the most part I always will text Jimmy afterwards
Starting point is 00:03:41 I'll be like Clean up what you need Whatever you do I never know I'm like I don't know Something sounds bad or whatever So no you do a very good job It was some people Jimmy's got it
Starting point is 00:03:49 Thank you And Moses is here Yeah I'm just I'm just here It's so weird Because usually I'm in the back With my headphones on So it feels strange Not to hear you guys in my headphones
Starting point is 00:03:59 I feel like naked and then also usually you only see me when I'm yeah people were gagged when there was the white shot when you're saying next to Nicole because we were like you know you're the host this is the hot topic people people are like why isn't he's an extra shirt I said the same thing I was like well you can sit next to me and you're like no you should sit there and I was like no then be like a couple I don't know I thought it would be more of a hot topic that was my mistake because I was like you know what she's here for the first time it's going to end up being more of an interview so it could have been just like an interview Moses told me in the car, he's like, well, I was just worried if, like, you weren't able to, like, handle the hot topics on your own.
Starting point is 00:04:34 No, not you. I did not say it that. You did. And I was like, what do you mean? Because you're like, well, just in case, like, you couldn't like do it. I was like, I did not say that. You did. Literally said, well, it makes sense like this too. I said, like, I had hot topics and I didn't know how many hot topics would be. So I was like here to just have a conversation on hot topics. Oh, okay. But it was more of an interview because you guys met for the first time. Yeah, we love Nicole. I think she's coming to the show tonight, which is very exciting. Cool. I liked her. I had not. really. I'd like seen her thumbnails and stuff before. Yeah, I didn't know much about her, but she was cracking me up. I texted Oscar. I was like, this girl was making me laugh. Yeah, no, I did too because like he's talked so much about her and like a same. I kind of just knew like thumbnails and stuff. And I'm like, first of all, she's like so loved like so many people
Starting point is 00:05:14 love her. And then she was like so funny. And I was like, okay, I love her. She was great. I'll feel like to see her again. Talking to other New York people. I was talking to Nicole. Possibly Jeff. Jeff Wittick is here. So I thought that Tana's coming. So lots of fun. And some New York guests are coming too. So it's like really. exciting but this is like very like Conan back in the day used to have like Andy Richter sitting next to the guest so it's giving like that kind of vibe too I'm just gonna bother you and ask you silly questions he was kind of I guess yeah I guess it was maybe not a great example he's still on dancing with the stars huh Andy Richter
Starting point is 00:05:44 is it still on I think he's still on wow yeah it's crazy I think Jen Affleck went home before him how are you Jimmy I'm good I'm good I'm so happy to be here and it was so fun seeing you yesterday like I just I could gush about it for like 15 freaking minutes it was so great like couldn't I like couldn't take my eyes off of you I was trying I was like well I got to I got to like watch beetle juice and Lydia like they are the main characters but I had seen the show before so I was kind of like okay I can like look at some of the other actors and stuff like that throughout the show and see what they're doing because everyone is so locked into their performance their facial expressions when other characters speak
Starting point is 00:06:29 Like there's so much going on that it really, you benefit from seeing something multiple times because you can watch it in different ways. And I was just so impressed with you, like sitting at the table and like fake talking and reacting. It was just so, so good. Thank you. Yeah, it's like something I actually learned here. Like I actually didn't know that either. Like I see Broadway shows all the time.
Starting point is 00:06:52 And I'm like very much focused on like whoever's like talking or speaking. So I really don't like pay attention if someone's not. But I did learn that from here that the mics are off. So you can't have like full on conversations. Like when Lydia comes down like, okay, you cross a deal and you say, oh, I love the dress. How old is she this house? Like, you know, and then you have like full on conversations, which I didn't know about. But yeah, I love learning all that.
Starting point is 00:07:10 Yeah, it is funny because same before I got the part of Maxine Dean. Like I was never like looking at her during because the scene there's so like literally so much is happening. Like you miss my solo because like someone's like face is getting eaten by shrimp cocktail. And so I never like paid attention. But it's so funny. Even when I'm on stage, like even seeing like a little lawyer like scrambling or cross. And I was just like, oh, that's so funny. I'd like never paid attention.
Starting point is 00:07:30 My dad said the same thing. He's like, yeah, during the scene, he's like, he'll like notice what I did. And I'm like, that's so funny because your eye is just on Beetleju's, literally, everything happening. So it's like our characters are off to the side. But I'm glad that people watch it. Well, not in this case. Everyone were looking at you.
Starting point is 00:07:43 Not everyone. Everyone. I'm on for like a few minutes. So Beetlejuice is on for like two and a half hours. So I guess for the few minutes. I guess it's nice. Yeah. Because I see like the audience reacts to every word you say.
Starting point is 00:07:53 Yeah. Like you say a war and everyone just laughs and gush it over. And then like every line, because every line is also a good joke. It's like funny. I have a pretty good part. Yeah. Thank you for coming. It's so cool.
Starting point is 00:08:03 Like so far every night I've had someone that I've known come to the show. And it just makes it like so much more special because I'm like, okay, like someone's out there. And I get to like see, you know, we get to go on the stage after, which is, that's like my favorite part because I love being on the stage. And like I didn't know that was like a thing. But yeah, like people can come backstage after. And it's like it was so much fun. And your sister was with you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:20 Yeah. My sister Katie was with me. I didn't know I was going to have a plus one until like a few days before. Right. I would have been fine just going by myself, but I was just like, hey, can you get off work like a half an hour early and comes to the show? She floored it. Oh my gosh. She parked down the street and it was great.
Starting point is 00:08:37 How do you park in New York? She said that and I was like, what does that mean parking? You try a lot and then pay too much. Oh, it's in like a parking structure? Yeah, yeah. It was like 60 bucks, which is actually, I feel like on the lower end for Times Square. But yeah, it was crazy. I'm a surprise of a ticket.
Starting point is 00:08:53 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, honestly. There was one right across the theater that was like fully booked. It was like, I walked up as like, hey, do you have any openings? I was trying to find one that she can pull into. They're like, no, we're not taking any more cars. I was like, damn.
Starting point is 00:09:07 That is crazy. So people are paying that $60. Yeah. That is like a ticket. Yeah, Moses will come to the show. Like, he'll come to the show like every night so far. He's come to the show. So he'll like buy a ticket like last minute.
Starting point is 00:09:17 And he'll be like up in like the balcony. Why don't you get one like closer? He's like, I like to see it from every angle. So like he'll be like way up there. And it's so funny. do see like you said there's so much going on on the stage so there's like a lot of easter eggs a lot of different things they do every time so every show i get to notice more details and more things and different characters and because they do like every moment they're
Starting point is 00:09:38 on stage they're doing something like beetle juice even leaving we'll just do a gesture or movement or like it never stops never out of character and it's up extra so there's always something to watch besides your scene you're seeing i just i'm just like wherever you go that's so funny That's so funny Well I give it my all every time Just in case I'm like why if people are watching me I gotta really just give it my all So it's been good
Starting point is 00:10:02 No hiccups obviously except for the Breaking Chair on opening night So I did break a chair It was crazy I've seen the footage You're not supposed to film the show FYI do not film the show But someone was filming
Starting point is 00:10:14 They must have been filming the whole thing Because they wouldn't have known I was going to break the chair Right Yeah Well let's just film your phone Yeah Yeah Oh okay
Starting point is 00:10:21 There was multiple angles of it too So I was like, oh my gosh, yeah, it was not part of the show. But, you know, got it out of the way. You didn't break the chair. The chair was obviously broken, like a chair. It was possessed by the Maitlands or what? What happened to the chair? But also, like, that's the most, because building chairs is the hardest thing.
Starting point is 00:10:38 But also, like, when you push a chair back, the legs, like, you know, they're secure sitting down. Usually they're not that secure going sideways. So you push the chair back. You always have an excuse. The chair I broke in our glambering too. But I was like, it was already broken. It was. That's why it was there.
Starting point is 00:10:53 Because we took it out of the studio. But people sit on it and it didn't break more anyways. I will say I've seen the video. You recovered like a pro. Thank you. Thank you. Like, you know, anything could happen. That is show business.
Starting point is 00:11:04 Yes. The show goes on. Yeah. It didn't stop. Yeah. Yeah. I thought it was part of the show. I thought, you know, because there's chaos and everyone are stumbling and calling.
Starting point is 00:11:14 So I thought that was part of the show. I didn't think something happened. I couldn't imagine a chair like we'll give way or something because. Yeah. Me neither. I thought because I stand. on a table at one point too like a like a coffee table and like are you guys sure because like I asked that because you guys know my head I mean I am like 240 but in my head I'm like I feel like I'm
Starting point is 00:11:31 400 you know and I'm like is it going to hold and like yeah it holds like 400 pounds or whatever and I was like okay so with the chair breaking that was like the last thing because I do stand up on a table at some point too which is like a stunt for me I always get a little nervous and I'm in heels I'm in the whole thing but it's fun I've been having so much fun it's like literally best out ever you're gonna go see oh Mary tonight yes I'm so excited I found out Jane Krakowski is going to be O'Mary a couple months ago when they announced it. I was like, oh, it would be so cool to fly out and see it. And then, like, I think very shortly after you announced, or maybe you told me like,
Starting point is 00:12:07 I'm going to be on Broadway. Yeah. I was just like, oh, shit. Like, I wonder if this will work out. And I kind of didn't even think about it until like right before I left. I think I told you on Halloween. I was just like, I think I'm going to try to get like day of tickets to O'Mary or something. Because I just assumed to be completely sold out.
Starting point is 00:12:23 And it kind of was. Yeah. But I checked yesterday and there were literally like four, five tickets left. So I got one for myself, my sister, my dad, and my stepmom, and they're going to come in. Oh, you're all going to go tonight? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:39 I'm very excited. Yeah. Because they wanted to, we were going to go out to dinner. And I was kind of like, I was kind of like, can we push dinner? Because I want to go see O'Me. Yeah. Do both. Are you going to do dinner after or before?
Starting point is 00:12:50 I don't know. It depends on what time. It ends. There's an Italian restaurant right next to my hotel that is really decorated cute. And I passed it every time I've left. But I'm not, I'm like, I don't know if it's one. I go sit by myself in. Oh, yeah. So. It's like a vibe. Yeah. So I was just like, you know what? Maybe we'll go in there. I keep hearing like a live singer coming from. Oh. I think Carmines has a live singer too. I think we're, have you been to Carmines. Once years ago. But it was delicious. It's like my favorite. Like every guest I have coming in town, I'm like, let's go to Carmen's. Yeah, I'm having trouble with too. Maybe New Yorkers can help us know our theater girls are. help us like if you go to dinner before the show or after because like after we know like everything's like closed at like 10 yeah so it's like do you go the show starts at 7 so like are you going early and that that that's when like everyone is going yeah especially like in time square yeah yeah we're right next to an olive garden the beetle juice theater and I want to go there it's so bad there's also a place called mercury bar my makeup artist here in new york jason was like
Starting point is 00:13:47 the chicken fingers at mercury bar are so good they're on grubhub they're not on postmates or door dash And I was, like, trying to grub it yesterday. That's why I asked you how far you were from the theater because I wanted you to pick up the chicken fingers. They were, like, right around the block. But, like, for some reason, I couldn't place the order. Like, I couldn't place pickup. I don't know what was happening. But I've been getting a lot of good food suggestions, but I'm a carmines.
Starting point is 00:14:04 Have you been to Ellen Stardis diner? No, I haven't. I passed it a million times. You've never been? No, I really haven't done a lot of, like, the touristy kind of things in New York. I did when I was a kid. Like, every Christmas Eve, we used to go down into Manhattan. And that was, like, the big time when we were kids to go.
Starting point is 00:14:21 And we would go to the Nintendo store, which you got to go. You got to this. Where is it? It's in, it's literally, it's in the same plaza as 30 Rock. It's Rockefeller Plaza. Oh, we're there all the time because we were there for FAA Schwartz. Yeah. Yeah, it's literally like the opposite street of FAA Shores.
Starting point is 00:14:39 Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. It's great. Have you been since you been here? Yeah, I went yesterday. I usually, and I usually don't buy anything when I go just because it's kind of the same stuff every time and I've gone like, I'm more than a hundred times. in my whole life.
Starting point is 00:14:52 But yeah, I went yesterday. I bought a couple things. So I was like, you know what? I'm going to get, they had a couple of things that were like unique to the store, which is cool. So I got a little,
Starting point is 00:15:01 I did a hall in my blog that I'm going to force myself to post. Yes. Even if I think I'm cringe in it. I'm like, I need to do it before Oscar posts his from January. I'm so determined.
Starting point is 00:15:14 I hope he sees it. So he posts it. I'm like waiting for that footage. I'm like, where's the footage? I want to see what you did. Are you going to post it on? on your, because you have like a, you're on Twitch,
Starting point is 00:15:23 but you have like a YouTube channel? Yeah. So I have my, I have my Jimmy Wetzel YouTube channel, YouTube.com slash Jimmy Wetzel. And, um, yeah, I'll just post it there and people like loved you. Like yesterday there was like, like Moses told me there was like someone who was like literally a Jimmy fan like just like just straight Jimmy and I love that. Like that's what's so cool. Cause even Oscars time when you guys would go to like the convention stuff like people just
Starting point is 00:15:44 know you as like Jimmy Wetzel because they followed you for so long. And that's what always is like so cool to me too. I was like, wow, that's so cool. So people probably were like so. excited. I saw a picture literally at intermission of Moses and Jimmy. And I was just like with somebody. And I was like, that is so cool. It was really cool. There were so many sweet people. Yeah. We met up because we were on different floors of the show. So we met up at intermission. And I got a drink. If you're at the theater, get the Margul Rita or whatever. That was good as
Starting point is 00:16:10 hell. And it was strong. I didn't feel it because I just have to drink a lot, I guess, to feel anything but my sister was just like damn i don't know i can't finish this i'm driving so i finished hers oh my god so you're like yeah you get to keep the cup so yeah it's like a nice travel cup and it's my second beetle juice cup much nicer than the first one the first one was really good really i i still have it back in my dad's house so um yeah and here's mug cam mug cam i used to wonder how you guys don't see him doing that and then And when I filled him for Oscar, I was like, when the hell did he tell that? What the fuck?
Starting point is 00:16:55 Yeah, no, it's literally. That's what I'm saying. I'm hidden. You know, in front of me, there's like tripods and lights and I have a crack to see Oscar, a little space to see Tricia. And then usually when they talk, when I feel like the energy, kind of like, okay, this is the moment. I just do it to the camera and nobody notices. And then if she notices, then it becomes awkward. Then she's like.
Starting point is 00:17:16 No, I always do because it'll be like, even if it's like something serious, like, Oscar talking about and I'm like and I literally see it at the cornered it's very much like what was that like it's there it's that anyway so yeah yeah always I'm like why did you do it at that moment it could be like he's just like I was like okay do it I try to pretty good yeah it's great you can get that at Beetlejuice the musical I think I got it like you bought it for me yes I saw the mugs and I was like I had to get it I always try to guess if you actually have something in it based on how long you're sipping for usually I don't yeah oh what that's tea you don't have me in it because usually I have my own mug that I drink from every Oh, what? Yeah, because it's like a warm. It keeps it warm. And yeah. It's more of a collection. It's a collection, but also sometimes I don't have time.
Starting point is 00:17:57 Like I run, I get everything ready. I run up. I look for a mug. I grab one and I go, you know. Plus you don't want to have too many open liquids near all the microphones and stuff. Yeah, we are always are spilling. Not us, but like, I think there's always stuff. I don't have an expensive keyboard from the amount of times I've spilled a can of soda all over.
Starting point is 00:18:15 Yeah. Like when you're like editing and stuff? Yeah, I haven't in a while. I've been very good. But, yeah. I used to just get, like, my keyboards from Goodwill and stuff for cheap because I'm like, I'm going to spill something on this. That's so funny. And it doesn't affect.
Starting point is 00:18:25 Oh, that's so interesting. I would think you would need a high quality one. Oh, okay. You're like, I need it. Oh, the liquids. I thought you meant the quality of the keyboard. The quality of the keyboard. Yeah, I don't think.
Starting point is 00:18:34 The keyboard doesn't really matter too much unless you like a certain type of click. But yeah, it certainly makes the space bar not as effective when there's baked on Coca-Cola. That's usually when I'm like a retire. Are you a Coca-Cola drinker? I do. Just straight up. Yeah, I've never, I've never been the diet kind. Yeah, I don't really like too many sodas.
Starting point is 00:18:55 I like a Sprite, usually like found out of Sprite. Like, yeah, Coca-Cola. It's been like my crazy. Yeah, there was a period after my mom passed away, we had people were being very generous and like bringing groceries and stuff to the house. And one time someone brought like three cases of Coke Zero because I think it was new at the time. And I was, me in sixth grade, I was like, I'm going to make this my thing. I'm going to be
Starting point is 00:19:20 Coke zero black can It's so cool Gross Even back that he didn't like it Yeah but I kept drinking it I was like yeah Zero calories Don't know what that means
Starting point is 00:19:32 It was not good It's I think it's different now I don't know was it a black can back then Yeah it was pretty cool actually Yeah I always thought it was like This is like fancy Yeah it gives like my chemical romance vibes Like black and red
Starting point is 00:19:45 Yeah it literally was black and red I don't know about that. I never, yeah, I like a coax ear. I like any kind of soda though. Dr. Pepper Diet Coke. I can't do Dr. Pepper. I know it's blasphemous. Everyone in my life loves Dr. Pepper and my boyfriend Dallas loves Dr. Pepper. He gets Dr. Pepper vanilla from Wendy's and whatever we get the drinks if they don't put the little like tab on the lid to differentiate, I'm like, you need to taste it because like I just can't, I don't like it. Wow. Yeah. Mosul can't tell right away.
Starting point is 00:20:15 He's like, no, it's definitely doctor number. To me, everything tastes the same, really. Yeah, I can tell diet. Because from Taco Bell, sometimes they give me Pepsi Max because it, like, is very similar color or something. One of the, the Pepsi's, I always tell when it's not the regular. Pepsi Max, what does that mean? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:20:33 Oh, I didn't know either. It's probably there's zero or something. Yeah, which is so strange because it's called Max. You think it has more in it? We have the most sugar in this, actually. I'm a Pepsi girl, too. I love everything. I actually like Pepsi, too.
Starting point is 00:20:44 I think Pepsi's good. Sometimes I get in those phases, like a diet cherry. But back in the day, they had a Pepsi twist. Do you remember those? No. It was Pepsi with lemon already in it. And the Osbournes and the Osmonds did the commercial. And it's like, we're not the Osbournes.
Starting point is 00:20:57 They like unzipped themselves. Like, where are the Osmond's. And I used to love that commercial. Maybe that's why I like Pepsi. Or Britney Spears is Pepsi commercial. I should drink Pepsi all the time because of that. It's iconic Pepsi. We love you so much.
Starting point is 00:21:09 Pepsi's Pepsi. Have you been doing anything since you've been back that you like miss? Because you're from New York. You're from the Bronx. Yes. I'm from the Bronx. I lived there until I was like 23 I moved to Florida I think 2021 however old I was I don't know anymore So yeah that all blurs together yeah thank you so much to row for sponsoring this episode of just trish seeking health care isn't just about your physical health
Starting point is 00:21:32 It's how you show up for yourself your friends your family and your work life many people delay seeking weight loss related health care not because they don't want help but because they're overwhelmed by the system find print endless calls confusion of what's covered Roe clears that path by starting with a free insurance check to see which if any GLP1 medications are covered by their insurance. No guesswork, no hassle. You can feel so good about taking the next step. Let's be real. Sometimes calling insurance can stress you out so much. What number? What do I need to provide? Policy numbers. It's so confusing. Having Roe do it for free is key. Life is already complicated. And when your health and weight loss goals take a backseat because of insurance complexity, it's easy to feel stuck. Roe's insurance checker is built to unstick that moment free, simple, and built to help people move forward.
Starting point is 00:22:17 Rowe's insurance checker lets you know if you're covered for GLP ones or free. If you want to save your coverage, just submit your insurance card and Rowe will take care of the rest. No paperwork, no hassle, and no waiting on hold. Starting point is 00:23:03 Thank you so much to Roe for sponsoring today's episode. Have you gone to any spots, like food spots or anything that you miss? I've looked, but a lot of them have closed down. Oh, this is a pandemic. Because they're not even. Like they survived. the pandemic, but they're just gone. Oh, just recent.
Starting point is 00:23:17 Yeah, I always like to get ramen when I'm in the city because it's, I just love ramen. Like from the store? Like a little ramen. No, no, no, I go like a restaurant. Oh, I think you're getting a cup of noodles. Yeah, my boyfriend and I would love ramen. There's a place called, well, it was called Toto Ramen in Hell's Kitchen. I was going there since like 2014, 15 with my friends when they used to live in New York and
Starting point is 00:23:39 stuff. It's gone there forever. It survived COVID. But, yeah, I came back over the summer for a family reunion, and I was just like, I'm getting Toto Ramen, let's go. And they had two locations pretty close to each other, and it's, Google says permanently closed. And I have not been in the area to, like, go check myself. Google knows, you know, usually. I'm assuming it's true.
Starting point is 00:24:04 So I'm pretty sad about that. And then there was another one. I don't remember the name. I just remember where it was because it was across from where I got one of my tattoos. So I was like, I'll sit down there because I like theirs and that was gone too. Oh my God. That's so sad. So really all the restaurants I know.
Starting point is 00:24:19 Yeah. There's another one that I like called Good Enough to Eat. It's like a good breakfast place. Nice sit down restaurant. They do dinner as well, but I prefer their breakfast. I don't know if that's still there. I think it is. But yeah, most of the time when I went to the city, I was broke.
Starting point is 00:24:40 Yeah, yeah, same. Every time I've been here, I'm like, oh, my God, it was like my last penny. And I'm like, will I make it home? Yeah. So my friends, like, if we were going to go out to eat, it was usually a bar and I would just get like a water and like maybe fries or something. Yeah, I've been there. There's a bar that I used to go to with some friends called Jacob's Pickles. I don't know if that's still around, but I really like their their poutine.
Starting point is 00:25:02 Ooh, they have it here in New York Poutine. Yeah. Oh, I thought it was a Canadian thing. Yeah, I think they were like, ooh, let's do that. Yeah, yeah. Canada loves it. People love it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:10 I had mac and cheese there And they served it to you in like the cast iron Little skillet It was really cool I don't know if they still do that But they did in 2016 I love that That's like a good memory for you
Starting point is 00:25:23 Like the mac and cheese at all Yeah I love I've been loving all the little spots too There's one called vanilla gorilla And they have like the best like Past like morning breakfast sandwiches Like wrapped in like sweet bread It's just been so much
Starting point is 00:25:34 And obviously pizza's on the street Like I don't know I'm a sucker for it like I would love to get a slice Like anytime we can I'm like I want to just get a slice even if I'm not hungry. It's so good.
Starting point is 00:25:42 Literally, whenever, like, anyone's visiting New York, they're always just like, ooh, what's the best place to get pizza? And I'm like, honestly, 99 cent. Like, it's all going to kind of taste the same. Like, it's fun to go. There's one, I think you order from a Joe's pizza. Joe's. That's where Peter Parker works in one of the Spider-Man movies in the Toby McGuire ones.
Starting point is 00:26:02 Oh, really? Yeah, that's like one of their big claims to fame, I think. But, yeah, they're, like, pretty famous. And the pizza's good. But, like, there's so many. I was literally walking to a 99 cent pizza with GPS. And then I passed three more that were closer. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:19 So, I just went to one of them. I got a whole pie for, like, $12. Wow. Can't be. I had four slices. So cheap. Yeah, we go and get, like, like, the big size. I like the one with the big white spots in it.
Starting point is 00:26:29 I don't know if it's mozzarella or strachitella, but it's, like, really good. Yeah, I usually just get a plain cheese just because you can't go wrong with that. Me too, but I've been, I've been adventuring out with the other cheeses. Yeah, it's fun. And it's been so much fun. I like a buffalo cheese. chicken those are pretty good. Ooh, I haven't had that yet. Yeah. That does sound good though. When in New York. Yeah, but if you're if you're ever visiting set up like you can go to like a really famous pizza place because that is fun. But make like a fun like ranking for
Starting point is 00:26:55 yourself of like we tried all these 99 cent pizzas and like these were our favorites. That's fun too. And it's so much cheaper. Okay. Editor mode producer mode. Here's a content idea for you if you're ever here. Also editor mode Patreon.com. Oh my God. Why did we start at the beginning? with that you can check the first episode of live from the editing floor oh yeah I've launched my podcast yeah it's only on patreon patreon.com yes we were supposed to have a guest after our last hot topics and it just didn't work out like he wasn't able to make it so we had like this extra studio time and I was like this is the chance this is my time to do the podcast so which is great
Starting point is 00:27:34 because we need one for patreon so yes patreon.com slash just trish did you an Oscar film your not yet that was news to me that we were going to film that I woke up to the group chat from you guys. And Oscar was like, yeah, me and Jimmy are going to film the Who's Gayer Test? And I was just like, I'm down, but I did not know about this. I'm down. I think it's because of your edits of him, like, gay boy. You know, I love to tease Oscar, but I do fear that I'm going to pass this test with flying colors.
Starting point is 00:28:03 Yeah, yeah. Well, you are, yeah, I don't know. Actually, it's hard to tell because you guys are so similar. The short shorts, like, always get me. which I love, but it's everything. I wish more people would wear. I wish Moses would wear short shorts. That would be great.
Starting point is 00:28:15 Yeah, sexiest man alive over here. Not Moses, but in my heart you are. I thought it was the ocean. He loved it. So who sent it first in our group chat? Was it you Oscar? Love that, by the way. Because like, Oscar, we love, like, to me, you're the type who send things in the
Starting point is 00:28:29 group chat that are just like fun and funny. And Oscar rarely does. So that was like so funny to me when he like sent it. I was like, right after we filmed our hot topics last week. And like, it was like, I don't know, maybe 11 o'clock here. And he sent it. And I was like, that's so. Funny, because I'd get excited for it.
Starting point is 00:28:42 I wouldn't think Oscar would get excited for it. So I was like, funded it seat in the group chat. And then Moses was like, love the ocean part of it. Because he's like in the water coming out. He looks, what do you think about it deserving? I actually, my favorite picture from it was when he has like the push pop, the ice cream. Oh my God. Well, that was the sunglasses.
Starting point is 00:29:02 That was hot. That was so hot. Oh, is you're a Jonathan Bailey fan. I have become one because of Wicked. I've only seen him in Wicked. I haven't seen like Bridgetton or anything. I have seen There's some comedy he did
Starting point is 00:29:14 That I keep like seeing like clips and gifts of He has blonde hair in it I don't know if it's a comedy But the clips I've seen make it seem like it is Yeah there's where I see too of like some British show He was on And there's like a girl I don't know if he's like chewing gum or she's chewing gum
Starting point is 00:29:30 I keep seeing those clips too And I'm like what is this show? It looks so funny I want to see the new Jurassic world I mean that's from months ago at this point You haven't seen it either Still newish But I wanted to see it for him because he had his little glasses in the mud
Starting point is 00:29:42 or wherever the hell he was. The glasses is fellow travelers he had glasses too. Did you watch that show? No, but I have seen the scene of him suck in the foot. There's a lot of sexy teeth.
Starting point is 00:29:50 I'm not even into that kind of stuff but I was just like, that's hot. Oh my God. He's so, you know what? I really think I had a say in this because like last year I was outraged like he didn't get it. But this makes sense this year
Starting point is 00:30:03 because now he has wicked and Jurassic and Brits. So I was like, okay, this makes sense. But I think they heard us. I think they were like, okay, we need to give to him this year. He's handsome. And then on Wicked, like they've been doing the red carpet. Ariana Grande couldn't get down to Brazil.
Starting point is 00:30:16 The fans were pissed. Did you see all that? Yeah. I didn't, I saw her statement. Yeah. So apologetic. For like missing a flight. I was like, damn.
Starting point is 00:30:26 The flight situation in general over here, even like with travel to New York and stuff like that is like crazy right now. Yeah. I'm nervous about my flight home if I'm going to get delayed or anything. Thankfully, I have like a whole buffer day for like the podcast or whatever. Yeah. But yeah, the Patreon episode is late this weekend. That's why I saw it. Yeah, it's great.
Starting point is 00:30:44 Did you have any trouble getting him coming out? No, not at all. No delay or anything. It was great. I guess it just came into effect after you got here. I don't know. Yeah, it's happening. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:52 She couldn't make it to the Brazil, but Cynthia Rivo was there. Jonathan Bailey was there. I was like, he's so good looking. And everyone's like, well, he is the sexiest man alive. He's about to do a play. It's not announced. I don't have any insider information. I've just heard this that him and Ariana Grande are going to do a play on the West End.
Starting point is 00:31:06 Have you seen Sunday in the park with George? It's like based on a painting. And I think that's the name of the painting. Do you know the painting? It's like people in the park. Oh. You know? I think a famous painting.
Starting point is 00:31:16 Yes. I know that. Yeah. So I think it's like the story about that painter and like his lover. And I suppose it's Jonathan Bailey and Ariana Grande's next move is they're going to be doing live theater together, which I'm a huge fan. I was like, oh, God. Can they win a Tony for a West End production or does it have to be American? I think American.
Starting point is 00:31:32 But they do have like some Brit awards for that. But yeah, I think they'll probably bring it here. Most of them start in the West End and come here. like Evita will apply come here would then they be eligible for Tony because I think that's of course you have to originate a role right yeah yeah and even though it's like a revival like you can win for a revival like I think Cole Serjinger won for his sunset boulevard so I think that's probably why they want to do it which makes sense but um I got to see more Broadway shows I literally you love Broadway I I did my school play in seventh grade I we did once upon a mattress oh
Starting point is 00:32:07 Which is the Princess and the P story I was the wizard I had the opening monologue And then I was like a background night or whatever Oh my gosh I didn't have many lines in the play Because I was in seventh grade They usually give the big parts of the eighth graders
Starting point is 00:32:19 Yeah They're last year at the school Right So I was just like all right I'm gonna do it I'm so excited And I remember I was gonna go with a friend of mine And then he didn't show up at auditions
Starting point is 00:32:30 And I was like where were you And they were like my sister said it was gay to do it I was like up Oh no Oh my gosh got apart so that was crazy
Starting point is 00:32:41 what year is that early 2000s 2009 or 10 oh my god I think we're more woke by then the Hillary deaf commercials were on the TV
Starting point is 00:32:48 I don't know why everyone was saying that's okay but I didn't know yeah they didn't get the message I got the part it was great
Starting point is 00:32:55 shout out Mitsbrowski she sadly passed away a couple years ago but thank you so much for that because it made me realize that I wanted to do that
Starting point is 00:33:03 then at 8th grade they didn't have because it was like It was still like after the economic recession and stuff. So they laid off a bunch of teachers and stuff. And so we didn't have a play in eighth grade or musical or anything like that. So I didn't get to do it. And then in high school, I was just like, well, it's gay to do the play.
Starting point is 00:33:20 And I go to all boys Catholic school. Like I don't, I didn't want to do it. So who was doing it then? The braver gays and some straight guys. And they would have a, we had like a sister school that would like come to our school in the afternoons from a bus and like they would be in the the girls the girl parts yeah oh i thought because like back of the day shakespeare would have only men play all the parts like roman juliet would play by all men yeah i don't know if uh in in this day and age a catholic school wants boys wearing wigs
Starting point is 00:33:51 i don't know that's so great well shakespeare did it's crazy it's stupid if you want to be authentic to the times and everyone always says but i wish i i i have a deep part of me that like wishes i did it because like i would i probably would have come out to one of those girls and be like hey Cawket like I it like it would have been like my little safe space but I was just like too nervous and plus I was also like I'm like doing my YouTube videos and everything so I want to get home every day but yeah yeah like something else going on yeah I had like a like almost like a like internalized instead of like internalized homophobia internalized like theater kid phobia I was like I was kind of like it was definitely like jealous that I can get to have
Starting point is 00:34:30 that path yeah but it would have been great for you yeah I was definitely friends with all the like closeted like gay guys in our school. We had two that were in place and they were amazing. And yeah, it was the same sort of thing. They were like, I'm not gay. Like, I'm in theater to kiss girls and whatever and stuff like that. And it was like, and it was like sad that you had to be like that. You know, I love now that like Jonathan Bates.
Starting point is 00:34:51 Like you know, you can just be like out open and cool. Yeah. Because it is cool. Everyone. Yeah, I love too. Like my O'Mary speaking of O'Mary. I like really want to do that. Like if I could manifest anything for the next one to do that.
Starting point is 00:35:03 I see it. That's crazy. That's like a huge. lead part that just want a Tony but I think you I think you can like because they're just they're they're they're putting so many people in that role I love this format of like let's just bring in a name like let's do it and like why not trisha Pateus why not my dad would be really excited because my dad loves Lincoln like he loves Lincoln like yeah like you were talking about it in the car like a lincolnator he's like I'm not kidding he's more delus
Starting point is 00:35:32 Oh, no, that. Yeah, and most is going to be Lincoln. You're going to be... Oh, yeah, he went to. No, but, like, at Disneyland, I don't know if they still have it. I don't think they do, but do you remember? The Hall of the President. Yes.
Starting point is 00:35:42 My dad's favorite ride, and he doesn't say it, like, ironically. But I think they, like, replace the, every time we go with a tour guide, he's like, I want to go to the Hall Presence and I want to see Lincoln give a speech. Like, he loves it. Like, when I told him about the Mary, like, it's about, oh, Mary, it's like, it's about Lincoln's wife. He's like, Mary Todd Lincoln. I just watched a documentary about her.
Starting point is 00:35:56 The lore. Yeah, he knows, like he was giving us so much background of it. And I was like, so he would like love to see. Because he came to see Beetleju's opening night. And he's like, I don't know what's happening. But he's like, Lincoln, I'll know what's happening. Absolutely. So anyways, go see O'Mary on Broadway.
Starting point is 00:36:09 I'm excited to see Bob the Drey Queen in Mulan Rouge. He's coming to Broadway. Oh, my God. Are you serious? Yeah. It's going to be so iconic. I love Bob. I'm a big fan.
Starting point is 00:36:19 Oh my gosh. I have an old picture with Bob and Monet from like 2018 or something. I went to one of their shows at the. at the at the bell house in Brooklyn Wow They're fantastic So iconic Is that the name of the podcast?
Starting point is 00:36:34 Yeah I love well Oscar got me on to like Is it their Patreon? Is the Patreon called that? Yeah their Patreon is lit It is a great Patreon I feel like that's like the number one one Because I was like that's what inspired us to do a Patreon
Starting point is 00:36:47 Yeah they do a lot on there I love that I love when they get like you guys do a lot too I'm of all the patrons that I am subscribed to Like Just Trish is on it Yes, we are twice a week and trying to give the quality there is. I asked about hot topics on my Instagram yesterday because we were filming a little early and I was like, what's the hot topic? The number one hot topic everyone I was talking about is the Starbucks bear.
Starting point is 00:37:09 Do you know about this? No. Moses didn't either. I was like, what do you mean? Well, it makes sense because there's so few. There's so few yesterday, November 6, why I was the filming this yesterday, November 6th, the Starbucks bear was released. It is a Starbucks cup that is shaped like a little like.
Starting point is 00:37:26 Honeypot bear and you can like fill it up with coffee and like people weren't in line at 3 a.m at the Starbucks at the targets they sold out so fast they're being resold for like 500 dollars like these cute little bears I had Moses go look we're on the way to Brooklyn we're shopping everything single Starbucks every single target I was like go find that fair this is the city to track it down yeah one on every corner yes and that is cute yeah I see now it does look like is it so cute yeah it looks like the honey I'm I mean, I've seen people do that. They take the honey one empty it.
Starting point is 00:37:59 It's so funny because I was like, I thought we're like, you know, boycotting Starbucks. I was like, well, this bear is back. So the boycott is over. We need to get this bear. I will say that's probably on T-Moo for 57 cents. That's what someone said. So that was the gag. It's telling you for like 40 bucks.
Starting point is 00:38:11 And someone's like, you can literally get these. I know. I was expecting you to say like 12 at the most. Yeah. I think it's like 40. So someone said that I read. But it's like completely sold out. And the gag of it all is is like supposedly, allegedly like people would be waiting.
Starting point is 00:38:26 three in the morning when like they open it four or five or whatever like some of these Starbucks and there'd only be like three bears for available so that means like the people again allegedly like that we're working there we're just like buying them ahead of time so they could like resell for the 500 of it on people are because people are mad and they're like okay I'm first in line I'm here to get the bear and they're like I already sold it like what do you mean I'm the first person to store this first account from people but also they called to ask how many you know there was an hour away drive to another Starbucks that how many bears do have is like we have seven so it's not like they gave the stores 15 yeah they probably didn't
Starting point is 00:39:00 think it was they gave them like crazy no i think they're creating oh they're creating oh you think they do it on purpose of course of course yeah you know what like the popcorn bucket it's giving lobooboo yeah it's giving the first two months of lobooboo now you can open that tictock live and they're in stock the whole eight hour stream that's right our lobooboo's over not for me i definitely i've slowed down because i kind of have all the ones i want um but you know Once they, I will say I did not love the tiny ones that were just as expensive as the big size ones and uglier. But it's always the case. Like, even like little purses are more expensive than big purses.
Starting point is 00:39:36 Like if you get them, it's just like they're cuter, I guess. I don't know. Or it's the scam of it all where it's just like we're going to use less to make this, but we're going to targe you more. Yeah. It's a mini Coke. Yeah. Yeah, that's true. I guess the convenience, but a loo boo-boo, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:39:50 I don't get why mini would be more. So you're still on it. You're still there. I think Oscar's still with you. Yeah. I almost brought a loo-bu too. Today, I brought a Pokemon. It's over there instead.
Starting point is 00:39:59 Was it on your bag? Yeah, it's on my purse. Oh, cute. It's a little chikorita. Wait, the green one? Yeah. Oh, that looks like a Labuoboo. Yeah, the plush keychain craze is crazy.
Starting point is 00:40:10 Like, I actually haven't seen any Labubu's while walking around Manhattan. Yeah. They have a weird fake ones, you know, like Statue of Liberty. Yeah. Oh, you got a bunch of those. I do like those things. Yeah, I've seen, but like the plushy, like keychains are huge. Like, it's really like a huge.
Starting point is 00:40:25 trend. Pokemon was on it before Lubbubu's though. I feel like they've always had like a little well-shy- Well, everyone copied Pokemon as far as like the idea of like the packages, the mystery cards. Yeah, absolutely. You know, like the rating of it all. Like everyone copied that over the years. Yeah. Thank you so much to Morgan Morgan for sponsoring today's episode of Just Trish. Starting point is 00:41:52 This is a paid advertisement. you so much to Morgan and Morgan for sponsoring today's episode. They should do a Pokemon musical. They did. Oh, where? It's like, it's considered like lost media at this point. That's so funny. I think some people have found some footage.
Starting point is 00:42:14 I think I don't know the whole lore on it, but it was like a very, very limited, maybe even like one night only run in like the late night. 90s, maybe like 2000. Where was it? I want to say Broadway. I don't know though. I'll have to, I'll do some fact checking. In the late 90s, early 2000?
Starting point is 00:42:33 Yeah, it was like, so Pokemon came out in Japan and in 96 and then in America in 98. And it was like crazy until like 2001 kind of died down. It was still selling like millions. But instead of like tens of millions, it was like eight, nine million copies and stuff for like a couple of years, early 2000s. And then started to pick back up late 2000s. thousands and then basically since Pokemon Go in 2016 it's been like the highest it's literally the highest grossing media franchise IP of anything because like it has cards it has toys it has TV shows it has the games and the games create the new characters which then
Starting point is 00:43:11 lead to new cards new plushies new figures new action figures and everything it's it's a crazy crazy machine like there's so many things that I like don't necessarily get but I get why people like them but Pokemon is like one of those things where I'm like I just don't follow like because it's like they don't talk right um they some of them some of them in the movies speak with telepathy so they don't talk for the plot but yeah they pretty much just say their name or like make like animalistic noises yeah so it's like how are you um like bonding with them like how are you forming that bond because you got you got to you got to train with them and and you you battle with them and you if you go on an adventure together like a pet yeah they're like
Starting point is 00:43:52 Slightly more sentient than like a dog. Okay, okay. You're like an elephant. But virtual. Yeah, yeah. And it's, you know, when we create archetypes, like every person has things they identify with. Just like you have a horoscope and Chinese zodiac and all those things. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:08 It's like that, but even more, there's more options. Yeah. There's like a thousand. So you find and you connect with something that speaks to you that you see yourself in or something like that. They should hire you for that. Yeah, that's a good explanation. They are very archetypes. And I mean, I think that's why they're so great is the design of those characters and the ideas.
Starting point is 00:44:29 Sometimes I look at them and I'm just like the brain that made this thing. Yeah, it's really cool. And it's consistent. Yeah. Like they don't fail. You know, it's consistent. What's your Pokemon then? All the water ones.
Starting point is 00:44:44 There's so many. Like, give me one. I know you love Pokemon. I'm just curious. Yeah. What is it? Vaporian. He's kind of like a cat, almost like a water cat.
Starting point is 00:44:51 Yeah. Yeah, his body can become water. Oh, okay, that's kind of everything. Like, there's different things. What's yours? God, I'm like going through the roll decks in my head of all my favorites. I'm like, okay, which one do I say today? I have a tattoo for Pokemon named Sweetoon, which also water.
Starting point is 00:45:08 It can run on water. It's kind of like purifies polluted water in one of the movies. And, yeah, I love Sweetcoon. There's one called Impedimp. He's got a little pink creature. And everyone thinks he's so ugly. ugly and annoying and I love him for the name alone yeah he's got a completely non-functional weighing on the back of his head for no reason just one I love it's a vibe yeah who could
Starting point is 00:45:34 okay so if we did a Pokemon like group costume for Halloween or for Christmas or whenever we do it who would I be for pink is there any pink one um well you always you always compare yourself to jinks which would be fierce I think smoochum it's baby form would be even cuter because because it's blonde and although jinx is blonde too. But Smoocham wears pink. Jinks wears red. Okay, okay. Shiny Jinks wears pink.
Starting point is 00:46:03 Shiny Jinks. But that's like a whole different lore. Wait, what do you mean? Let me see. She's so cute. That's Jinks's baby. Yeah, that grows up. She evolves into Jinks.
Starting point is 00:46:14 Oh, she does. Okay. Smoocham is so cute. Cute. Yeah, she's pink and blonde. Yeah. Okay. Blue eyes.
Starting point is 00:46:21 Just for fun. Literally, we could have the cast, the crew, the audience. There's a thousand and six Pokemon, I think now. A thousand is crazy.
Starting point is 00:46:31 Yeah, they just broke a thousand a few years ago with Generation 9. And we're probably getting the 10th. Next year's the 30th anniversary. So we're probably getting
Starting point is 00:46:39 the 10th generation. And the 10th sponsors you or no? No, they don't sponsor me. I used to work with them. Oh, that's right. For it was like they would send me games. That was really it.
Starting point is 00:46:48 Like free reviews. You are. Promoting them hardcore all the time I feel like you work for that I do love their products And yeah I mean they are notorious for not I mean they're kind of the opposite They'll shut you down
Starting point is 00:47:03 If you use any kind of Yeah they're kind of protective of their IP It's hard to actually promote them Like people that have channels that do content with them They'll shut them down if they use one thing There was that girl on TikTok Remember she had the Pokemon tattoos Her name was like Pokey Princess
Starting point is 00:47:20 Which is crazy because it's not even Pokey or maybe it was something else before Maybe she had changed it to Pokey Princess maybe it was like PokyPon or something I don't know But she had gotten like Nintendo told her to like not use that name anymore So she had to like change your gonna say get the tattoos removed I'm like damn Glad I'm wearing sleeves today. That would be so crazy right
Starting point is 00:47:36 If you have like any kids do you think you name him after Pokemon's? Absolutely not Wait really? You love Pokemon so much so Well I first of all I don't know if I want kids Right okay I love the idea of being uncle Right we kind of are like I have cousins that are like six oh yeah you were saying yeah because my I have cousins that are a lot older than me so like kind of uncle roll but they are technically cousins
Starting point is 00:48:02 yeah um Dallas has a niece and nephew and oh yeah you guys I can't yeah love them so I do love that my sister will probably have kids at some point and I'm happy to be that for them um not opposed to it I'm like I'll revisit it I actually I really my parents had my sister and I when they were in their mid-30s. Yeah. Very similar to you guys, like in your 30s and stuff. So I'm like, I'll revisit the idea someday, but yeah, definitely not right now. 30s, 40s.
Starting point is 00:48:31 I think it's like every age, you know, like that. Like, Andy Cohen has, like, young kids. Like, I think, like, everyone has them. I think it's like, I love, I would love to have him in my 20s. And I think it's great if you do. But I think it's like also something to be said about doing it later in life because it's just like, okay, you've done so much. And you're kind of like, but you have cats.
Starting point is 00:48:46 I have dogs. I have two dogs. What are their names? Ruby and soda. They have nothing to do with polo. No. Well, actually, Ruby is the name of one of the Pokemon games because they do like Blue version. Oh, okay. Ruby version stuff like that. Is that why you named her that or no? No, I just, I literally just like I saw a picture of her. Someone in my Twitch chat, shout out Lauren,
Starting point is 00:49:06 he worked at Animal Shelter in Chicago and he was just like, hey, we just have these litter of puppies that were just born. You want to see pictures. So he sent me a picture of them. I think they were maybe like a week or too old at that point. And there were six of them. And I saw a little baby Ruby yawning. I was like, I need her. Like, we need to adopt her. And Dallas and I hadn't even moved in together yet. Like, I was still living in New York.
Starting point is 00:49:29 He was in Florida. I hadn't moved down there yet. And so I was just like, how can we get this dog? Like, let's, we got to do this. So I sent in a million applications. I tried to explain to his boss. Like, this is not a scam. Like, I will fly to get this dog because I was out of state.
Starting point is 00:49:48 It was so random. But, yeah, I flew to Chicago in the morning, flew home like three hours later with a little nine-week dog, the earliest we could get her. Nine weeks. And she's so little now. She's like 50 pounds of muscle. She is a strong girl. Protein? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:07 Those protein cases. She's on a prescription food diet because she's got tummy problems. And we love her. She's doing great now, though. Good. Okay. But, yeah, I love her so much. And then Lil Soda we adopted.
Starting point is 00:50:19 Ruby was three. We got him last year. And we were just like, she needs a friend. Like, you know, she's really settled in now. Like, she's three. She, she, we want her to have someone, especially when like we're working. Like she, she, our dogs love to lounge. But we were also like, you know, we wanted to have a little bit of fun.
Starting point is 00:50:39 So it's not just like. Yeah. She's just sleeping while we're hanging out. Although now they still just sleep because they love it. But we were like, let's go on PetFinder. And like that night at like 3 o'clock in the morning, I saw this little dog 12 weeks old. His name was I was I was like, that is the most human name for a dog. Ike is crazy.
Starting point is 00:50:57 It is a crazy. I think of Ike Turner. I'm like, oh, no. I just was like, this is like somebody's dad's name. Yeah. So I could not stop laughing. He looked ridiculous in the photo. His ears were sticking out.
Starting point is 00:51:09 And I called the shelter. I was laughing through the voicemail. And I emailed them the next morning. I was like, hey, we weren't high or anything. thing like we're serious about this and it was in LA so we did like we just drove we saw him um and uh yeah we we got him two days later we picked him up and he's the best and we changed his name to soda ike is a very funny name but we've been wanting to name a dog soda for quite a while just because like you love soda no so there's this there's this meme of donald trump saying
Starting point is 00:51:43 obamna instead of obama oh and then it comes To Joe Biden yelling soda Obama Sodah In the same clip? No, it's like, I don't know It's so, yeah, it's such like brain rot bullshit
Starting point is 00:52:03 But it's the funniest thing ever to me We're gonna have a dog named that one day So for like two years we were like Our next dog's being named soda We are gonna Oh so you manifested your dog He's just so little and cuddly He like sits on my lap while I edit
Starting point is 00:52:16 He's a Chihuahua mix Yeah, so he's just little guys Put him in a Taco Bell commercial Anytime we go to Taco Bowl At a little in the middle of the night He sits up my lap I love your middle of the night fast food Yeah
Starting point is 00:52:29 Because like you were going to Arby's at like midnight You're like, I'm going to get the Jamoka Shake I was like okay The minute she did that commercial With the Jamoka Shake We were I was like Okay so tonight after my stream or work I don't know what it was
Starting point is 00:52:41 I was like we're going I texted my friend David who lives upstairs I was like do you want to come to Arvys with us He was just like yeah I want the new shake. So the three of us got in the car, we drove to the Arby's. You filmed the commercial at. Yeah, receipt of Arby's. Took my little picture in front of the sign. And I love that you told me Moses like, it's so artsy. Yeah, yeah. That killed me. It was. And maybe you want to go back at night because I was like, ooh, it lights up at night. So I was like, oh, I want to do that too.
Starting point is 00:53:07 And it's one of the last places to have the big Arby sign. So it's great. They sent me a bouquet opening night Arbys with mozzarella sticks and curly fries at the Broadway store. I'm like, how did they get here. Because there's not an Arby's in Times Square, I don't think. I don't know how I got here. I never had Arby's honestly. In New York? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:23 I had it. All the times I've had it, been in California on like a road trip. We pass it. Yeah, they have a lot in California. I'm a big doing another Arby's commercial. Shout out Arby's doing another one in the end of the month. Ooh. But yeah, to answer your question, literally.
Starting point is 00:53:37 As soon as I saw Ruby's picture, I was just like, oh, her name's going to be Ruby. Yeah. And then it's like, it had a Pokemon connection. There's a show called Stephen Universe that I love I think you would like it too Very musical It's really cute and very queer What's on?
Starting point is 00:53:53 It was a cartoon network show I think it's on Hulu Okay It's passed already Yeah They're having a new like Spinoff revival season Coming out which is really cool
Starting point is 00:54:03 But yeah Stephen Universe is awesome I love it It's each episode's like 11 minutes It's a cartoon So I'm like selling it too I think you'd get really into it to work for Cartoon Network, too. Do some cosplays.
Starting point is 00:54:15 I love Cartoon Network. Anyway. But, yeah, there's a character on the show that's a Ruby, and I just love. There was a lot of other connections that, like, came after I thought the name. Yeah. Anyway. I love good cosplay. I love good cartoon.
Starting point is 00:54:31 And I love a good revival. The Muppets are getting, Miss Piggy is getting a movie. That's one of my hot topics. When we talked about O'Mary earlier, Colascola, who like created O'Mary and originated the role and won the Tony for it, they are. like writing this movie at Emma Stone and was it, Jennifer Lawrence. I need everyone involved in this.
Starting point is 00:54:49 I need them all to be on screen as well and I also would like to be in this, but I also think like Superman should be in it. Like yesterday I was doing a bunch of press for Beetlejuice and they were at, like, I kept bringing up the Miss Piggy movie any chance I could get because I was like, this is the most iconic thing ever. Like I haven't been excited about anything in so long.
Starting point is 00:55:04 Like when they talk about Pirates, like herebyans, awesome butler, I'm like, okay, great. Like, you know, even the new Bridgeton, but a Miss Piggy movie. Do you love the Muppets? I do. I love the Muppets. Right now in New York, actually, there's a magic show called Rob Lake Magic, and they
Starting point is 00:55:19 actually invited me. I think we'll be able to go, because I think they have a Thursday matinee when I'm not in Beetlejuice, and, like, kids can go to, and Rob Lake brings the Muppets on stage. So, like, the Muppets are technically on Broadway right now. I could have been more happy, and they were like, do you want to go on stage? Like, during the show, they bring someone up on stage, and you can be with, like, Kermit and Miss Piggie, and I was like, saying them more. Because, to me, Miss Piggie.
Starting point is 00:55:40 Gay icon. Gay icon. Just knows who. she is for so long. I remember, like, as a kid, people would call me Miss Piggy to be, like, mean. And, like, even on the internet in the early days, people were like, oh, my God, I was like Miss Piggy because of the blonde. But she so iconic in, like, every single way, her fashion, her ward.
Starting point is 00:55:54 Like, she is just, she's everything I would want to be in more. And they always portray her as, like, a sex symbol and, like, an icon. Yes. She's hot. You're so right. It's so. Oh, my God. When you were dressed as, like, the pig from Minecraft, I was giving, like, pig redemption
Starting point is 00:56:12 arc you know what I mean like I just feel like pigs they're very smart by the way I feel like I think they're smarter than dogs really yeah or they're on the same yeah right like they're just really intelligent and um yeah when I think they get like a bat like when they call someone that's big like a pig like we know people who'll be like we'll eat one meal but I feel like a pig and I'm like why do they get such like why is it an insult to pig because they're just so beautiful when I saw you dress as the pig I was like beautiful when I see miss piggy I'm like beautiful like I just really I really have a new thing for pigs, but specifically Miss Piggy.
Starting point is 00:56:45 And I'm like so excited she's getting her own movie because I feel like the Muppets have had a ton of movie and we love the Muppets, but it's time to shine because, you know, Kermit, her and Kermit are cute, but I don't think he gives the same love that Ms. Piggy gives to him.
Starting point is 00:56:58 Do you know what I mean? Yes, it is a very one-sided almost religion. Yes. Yeah. Kermit. Yeah, Kermie. I always remember her when she gets upset. Yes, the best.
Starting point is 00:57:10 I was literally going to. like, I literally, I need you and Miss Piggy to get into a fight. Like, literally, my favorite TikTok compilations are Miss Piggy fighting with people. There's with Joan Rivers, literally, like. I haven't seen it. Her with Joan Rivers are always so good because Miss Piggy outreads her. Oh, it's so, which is rare for Joan Rivers. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:37 So, oh, it's so good. Why is she, how is she so good? Like it, to me, it's just like the writing, I don't know, she's like timeless in every way. And I was just like, this makes sense that she would like have her a movie. They haven't really said any of the other details. But I just think like everyone involved. Like the fact that Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone are like producing it and Cole's school is like writing it is like, like, oh, Mary is so wild. And it's so great.
Starting point is 00:57:58 Like I can't even miss Piggy should be Mary. Oh. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. That would literally. Gay people would never be more back. That would say Broadway.
Starting point is 00:58:13 Broadway would be sold out. That's going to be Hamilton. That's going to be beautiful. That'd be like that. A whole, I never even. Oh my God. Because she's like a singer too.
Starting point is 00:58:21 Yes. Piggy's a singer. I feel like if I was born maybe two decades earlier, I would have been a Muppeteer. Hands down. I love. Really? I haven't seen like every Muppet project, but I just, I love like the brand and like the history of the company and everything.
Starting point is 00:58:36 Yeah. The whole story about Jim Henson, like, and how he started like, I think he started like an SNL or something like that was like the first Muppet sketch something like that he did a lot of public access like stuff um I think like in his hometown or something yeah started and you like there's there's a channel on YouTube called defunct land I'm sure many people in the comments are like oh my god I love defunct land because everybody loves defunct land um and they usually do like theme park videos but like they did like it felt like a year of like just like Muppet history content oh really it was They're all, like, amazing, like, mini, 40-minute documentaries about every, like, chapter of the Muppet history.
Starting point is 00:59:17 Oh, interesting. You could see, like, the evolution of character designs and, like, how they found their voice and how they found the right actor to do them. And so much of it is improv. It's improv voice acting. Oh, no way. Puppeteering. It's crazy. It's literally, like, some of the most talented people in the entire world.
Starting point is 00:59:37 Yeah, they used to have the Jim Henson studio on LaBreya. There used to be a giant kermit. Were you here when that was around? I don't know if I ever saw it. It was right across from my crazy girl because I used to work there. And I remember right across the street was like the Jim Henson thing. Did you ever see it in L.A.? I had like a giant garment.
Starting point is 00:59:51 And it was just so cool because I guess I was like his original studio. I don't think it's like there anymore. But it's yeah, to like get to see where like it all like started. You know, I'm very like that with like Walt Disney too. I'm always like to see his first sketches of it wasn't even Mickey Mouse. It was something else that was like. Oswald, the Lucky Rabbit. You are so good too.
Starting point is 01:00:07 Oh my God. How did you just know that? They made a game about him. I think Disney got the rights back in like the 2010s. And they made a game about like Mickey meeting Oswald and being and it's like, oh my God, who is this? And then sometimes Oswald will walk the parks. It's very rare though. Wait.
Starting point is 01:00:26 So what happened with it then? Because someone told me the story. So Walt Disney created Oswald and then Oswald was owned by some company that Walt was working for. So when he went on on his own, he created Mickey Mouse. And it's kind of the same character with different ears, basically. Wow. Very similar. Wow.
Starting point is 01:00:43 You are really like Jane from Drop Dead Diva where you just like come back. You're like, yes, Oswald the Bunny. How did you know that? That's like so smart. We haven't been able to watch that. I'm so sad. Being away, we haven't been able to watch it because we were watching it on like Fandango or something.
Starting point is 01:00:58 But thank you so much to Babel for sponsoring today's episode of Just Trish. Super excited. Have Babel as a new sponsor. I love languages. I love learning new languages for a multiple. multiple reasons, right? Communicating with loved ones, maybe expanding your horizons, being more culturally aware, the people around you and work and community. It's just really nice to know other languages. Starting point is 01:01:51 My favorite part about Babel is once you start learning the language, you can have a conversation in the app. It's very, very cool. So you can, like, learn that. Because a lot of times when we're in school, we learn, like, bibliotheca. But we don't know how to, like, say it in a full sentence or how to have conversation with people. That's what's really great about Babel.
Starting point is 01:02:08 And you can listen to podcasts in whatever language you're learning. It's very, very cool. We love Babel. Babel has over 25 million subscriptions sold and over 1.6 million five-star app store rating reviews. The reviews don't lie. I wanted to use Babel because I wanted to start learning Spanish. I just think it's a really, like, lovely language. I think it's an important language.
Starting point is 01:02:26 My little kids are already speaking Spanish from watching TV. And I was like, I really need to broaden my horizons. And I would love to travel more. And Spanish just sounds like a really fun language to pick up. So I have learned some Spanish phrases already. My name is Trisha. And don'te est al-Banio, because we all need to go to the bathroom. And I'm getting better.
Starting point is 01:02:47 Okay, each week I'll show a little progression on my Spanish. But I do feel like I can say some things, which is nice. And I feel just a little more expanded. My brain feels like it's working more. I love learning new languages. To start speaking a new language in just three weeks, click the link in the description or go to babble.com slash Trish. Thank you so much to Babel for sponsoring today's episode. Grasias. While we're still on Muppets, I do have Miley Cyrus is going to be on Sesame Street and they film in New York. You need to be on. Sesame Street. I'm pretty sure. 90% sure. There is like a Sesame Street. Yeah, someone else was just telling me, I think my makeup bars this morning was telling me there's like a Sesame Street like experience for kids. And it's If you think about the street there on and everything, it looks very much brick, New York. There's a Sesame, Sesame Theme Park in Pennsylvania.
Starting point is 01:03:43 Oh, maybe that's what she was. I went there as a kid. Did you like it? I did. I don't really remember it. I was pretty young. All I remember is making, did you ever at like a theme park or anything, like, fill like a jar with different colored sand?
Starting point is 01:03:55 Oh my God. Yes. That's all I remember from Sesame Place. It's like a water park kind of vibe. We did that at Cedar Point in Cincinnati, Ohio. And it was like, you just got a jar. You just like filled up color of sand. What was the point of that?
Starting point is 01:04:06 I think you're supposed to make, you're supposed to make, like, characters and things, if you're really good at it. I probably just all blue. No, mine were just like layers. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, it's supposed to be character. Oh.
Starting point is 01:04:17 Or landscapes and things, but. I don't know. It's not easy. If you're willing to make, like, a three hour drive on an off day. Yeah, you're like, I'll take it. It's a little cold. I don't know if it'll be open in November, but because I do think it, I do feel like I remember being a water park. I remember having like.
Starting point is 01:04:32 The Sesame Street thing? Yeah. I remember. I feel like I remember having like water. shoes as a kid and hating them because they were filled with water. It was gross. Oh, that's so funny. Yeah, there's one in San Diego too.
Starting point is 01:04:42 And it's kind of, it looks a little, I don't know. Yeah, it looks a little, I don't want to use the word cheap, but it looks a little like Rinky Dink maybe. It's a long drive of San Diego. Yeah, I think that's what it is. I don't know. Maybe I'll go. We don't mind Rinky Dink things.
Starting point is 01:04:53 We went to the Bluey experience here. How is that? Have you been? No, but I, I love Bluey because, again, like, first of all, the adult Blue fandom is crazy in a good way. Like, it's very passionate. There's a lot of people. Oh, I didn't know.
Starting point is 01:05:06 The furries love Bluey. They draw their own Bluey Sona's where they have their own original character that is in the Bluey art style. It's a whole thing. Oh, I didn't know. Shout out to that. To that fandom. But, yeah, adults love Bluey.
Starting point is 01:05:20 I've watched a couple episodes without Dallas's niece around. Yeah. That was how we found out about Bluey. When we would go on a family trip with his family and his niece who is like five and obviously was younger than that in the past. Yeah. we would watch Bluey and we were like, it was pretty new at the time.
Starting point is 01:05:38 Right. And we were like, whoa, this show is so great. It reminded me so much of like the kids cartoons I watched when I was younger that are like, well, it's slower pace and it's not loud and over stimulating. It's just very calm and love it. Everyone hates the Coca-Mallon because Cocoa Mellon can be like over signaling. We do listen to Cocoa in our house. But I think they're doing a Coca-Mell movie.
Starting point is 01:05:59 I think that's a hot topic. I think they just announced they're doing a Coca-Mell movie, which is crazy. I don't know if they're doing animation or live action, but. Hopefully animation. Well, Aqua man, you took one of him and Coco
Starting point is 01:06:08 today, literally look just like here's my phone. I love how every single baby you have is like they should be live action
Starting point is 01:06:14 Cocoa and then they grow hair and they can't play because he looks like Coco I literally from a year ago have a picture of Elvis
Starting point is 01:06:23 that you sent me for V-roll being like she looks like Coco because every baby looks like Coco all our babies
Starting point is 01:06:29 start bald with big eyes you just have this big eyes and but this one in there too. Elvis was actually a spot on Coco. I feel like she was. She also had the curl. I remember though
Starting point is 01:06:40 when I first started working on the podcast I think Oscar mentioned something about Bluey or maybe a guest mentioned Bluey and you went ugh and I remember did you cut it? You're like no I left it because I was kind of like I need the comments to tell her to change her mind. Okay well still that completely changed I still don't really get it myself. I don't know I'm not a big
Starting point is 01:07:01 cartoon animal fan like maybe that's a hot take like I don't love a good Nemo or something. You know, I don't like a shark tail. I don't know. But it was on TikTok the sound like, mom, dad. I was like, okay, whatever. But the experience is cool. I don't even if the girls really watch Bluey.
Starting point is 01:07:15 Do they know. They do. Oh, they do. But like in New York, Bluey is like, Ethel Schwartz is just like, there's a whole bluey section. There's like a bluey museum, which they did love the museum. It's behind this, like, hidden door. It's like really weird.
Starting point is 01:07:26 You like go in. It looks like a gift shop. I'm like, where's the museum? I'm like, oh, it's behind this wall. And it's like, this like candy wall that like opens up. And it's like huge inside and they like play around or whatever. But blue is everywhere here. Like literally like everything is like all the fashion is bluey.
Starting point is 01:07:41 And so they really love it now. The sister's name is what bingo? Bingo. Bingo. So you can meet Bluy and bingo after the experience. But you like one photo, which is like, yeah. I was like, for kids like you don't know if they're going to turn around or like their eyes are closed. They don't know really.
Starting point is 01:07:58 I mean, well, Malbu basically vlogs on your video. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I feel like she'd be good at it, but, you know. But it was like a digital thing where I'm like, you can't take like Shulamu, for instance, the Slime Museum, unless you take 5,000 of those digital photos. You know, because it's like a, it's like a machine basically that takes it. And this one, they'd only let it. So like, you have to choose.
Starting point is 01:08:14 Do you want to be in the photo or just your kids? And I was like, and then we had our grandparents with us. And I was like, we'll just have them go in it. Was it even that busy? No. Actually, should we, I guess, I don't know what we could say one. No, so basically the end. Well, the thing is like, this is the end of the experience.
Starting point is 01:08:31 It's like, okay, you finally, because the whole experience, you're looking for bluing, bingo. So you're going through the house and the screens and sometimes they pop in different places. And then at the end, you get to another room. And then from that room, you finally find them. And they're in the backyard plane. That's cute. So when they open the door, suddenly you see them there. And, you know, little kids, one half year old, you just run to go see Bluie.
Starting point is 01:08:52 Yeah, she's a year and a half, Elvis. But there was a person there just like, whoa, wait a minute. And just kind of like stopped Elvis, which when you stop from momentum, she kind of fell. down. It was a pushdown. And then she started, she started crying. So I attended to her and I held all the rage inside of me. Oh my God.
Starting point is 01:09:11 Yeah. Like, you know, like, what are you doing? Like, why would you stop a one and a half year old? Like, what is she going to do? There was like, what is she going to do? For context, too, we went on like a Tuesday at like noon and there's literally like six people in our group. There's like including our two girls.
Starting point is 01:09:25 So there's like maybe four other kids that were all older too. And like they're all running. But Elvis is so tiny. And she's just so excited to see Bluey and Bego. And they're pretty big. And she's just so excited. And I go, because I'm like trying to put our bags down or whatever because I'm trying to figure out this photo situation.
Starting point is 01:09:40 I like look back and yeah, like Elvis is like crying on the ground and I'm like, what happened? And thank God you didn't tell me in the moment because like he told me after. And he's like, no, like literally this like knocked her down. And I was like, how did you? I would have, oh my God. If I would have saw it, I think I would have just like lost my mind because I was like, she was so, it was such a good day.
Starting point is 01:09:57 And then that all happened. And like it was intentional. Like you literally could have. been like she goes as highs whatever whatever it's just like let me yeah it took like it was like a second yeah it wasn't yeah because the way to design it is like you have a line you have a wall you have something but there was nothing you just opened the floodgates to something but there were only four kids and there was no rush even after that to take the picture so I'm like why would the person react that way no one a half year old this is not like security at the stage door you know
Starting point is 01:10:27 somebody running yeah no it was because like the whole thing they're running like the whole thing like you run you have all this energy and so like yeah because everything is accessible in the house so basically it's their house yeah there's rooms and their beds and slides and toys it's story time they really enjoyed it yeah it was great like like a dance party and like everyone was like really nice in there um I guess the point of all that was so you get one photo so then like our one photo is literally just like Elvis just like standing next to blue just like after she got knocked down trying to nothing happened she's just like looking into space Malba was kind of in the middle trying to pose and I didn't want to be in the photo little baby
Starting point is 01:11:01 Yeah, it was. It was giving that. And then when I found out after what happened, I'm like, well, that made sense. I'm like, what the hell happened? Like, I just like look back and. But then I on purpose gave her more time like go hug bingo, go hugged blue. And whenever people design character for kids, they don't think about it. That's why Disney works so well because their characters are the right size for kids.
Starting point is 01:11:23 And if you think about the body of blue and bingo, it's like this cylinder basically. Yeah, they're very cylindrical. Yeah. And they're very, so they were very big. So the kids are like, there's nothing to hug. Yeah. You know, they get to the cylinder and it's like, there's just legs and there's this weird end of the cylinder.
Starting point is 01:11:39 So they were like five times their size. So like Elvis is so tiny. And it was so sweet. Even after getting knocked, she's still trying to hug him. She's just like, I just want to hug this. Like she's like crying just trying to hug these little dogs, I guess is what they are. But anyways, they should have given us more than one photo because like she was just so upset.
Starting point is 01:11:55 I was like, well, she's got knocked over. But. And I don't want to ever be the parents that are in every single photo. Although I didn't want to be in the photo I was kind of sad Oh, what? I don't know. It felt like awkward.
Starting point is 01:12:04 I was like I don't know I should just let the kids have their moment but I was we probably should have because even Malba was kind of lost like where do I go? What do I do? Usually we're all in a photo together
Starting point is 01:12:11 but maybe it'll go back. I don't know after that. They're going to be like you're not allowed back because we just said they knocked them over. Did they have the piano at FAS Schwartz? No. I know they moved it.
Starting point is 01:12:22 It's in a new location now. Oh it's not. Yeah my dad was asking that too. He's like from big. Yeah they didn't. It used to be by, there's an Apple store on Fifth Avenue that's like, it's a big glass box and you go underground. Oh.
Starting point is 01:12:34 Oh, yes, that's across from the plaza. When I say the plaza, I would always see the Apple store and the big Louis Vuitton with the like luggage, the trunk. Yes. I want to go there. I've never been in there. I haven't either. Out of my budget.
Starting point is 01:12:46 I know. My purse is from Goodwill is $2. But that's iconic. Yeah, I love it. I know. I want to go there too. But I was like, no. No, I didn't say no.
Starting point is 01:12:54 I said it's very dangerous. No, you didn't. I was like, we need to go shopping. You're like, no, I don't think we need to. And I was like, I want to go to Sacks. I want to see. We can definitely go. I just don't think we need more Louis Vuitton bag.
Starting point is 01:13:07 No, I don't. I did get a skim-throft. I do. No, yeah, and Tana's in her thrifting era. It's where all the rich people live and go to some of the thrift stores. I think we are going to one. Tana knows this one called Treasure. She's coming like next week.
Starting point is 01:13:21 And she was saying that's like her favorite vintage store. Because she does, she only like thrifts and get vintage because she's very, it's very interesting her like whole trajectory now but she is very like doesn't want to buy new things doesn't want to waste and stuff and I'm like I can get down with that so I think we're going to go next week to and there's like I've seen the new Murakami collab with Louis Vuitton and there's some incredible things like they're beautiful which one which one is it there's a new the cherry or the multicolored one or something else something else altogether and they're incredible they're beautiful like I appreciate it you know but some of them are like you know but some of them are like you
Starting point is 01:13:56 You know, it's handcrafted and it's crazy. But at that point, it's like sculpture. Yeah. So you understand that. So I do, like, I would love to go to the store and see and all that. We need to go. I just know. So you agree.
Starting point is 01:14:07 Yeah. So you agree. It's art and it's worth a lot of money. Okay. Well, we'll do it. I went to skims briefly because I had to get a robe for backstage and I went in there. It took a five story skims. The new, the new skims campaign, the holiday.
Starting point is 01:14:20 Have you seen it? Are you a skips person? No, I did see like posters for it. The Nar Smith. Oh, no. The holiday? The Christmas one, yeah. It's like red, the ads.
Starting point is 01:14:30 I just saw people in pajamas and they were beautiful. Well, they're not ready. They're probably Nara and Lucky. Oh, okay. It was Nara and Lucky Smith with their three babies, but the babies are obviously not shown or whatever. I was just like, skims is like my, you know, I should say that. When people keep asking my next manifestation or my next thing, I should be like, I want to do a skim skim. Like, I love skims more than anything.
Starting point is 01:14:47 So when I saw this. And then I screenshot it and I meant to send it to Moses, but I was also texting my agent at the time because we were just like texting back and forth because I was trying to get to a location. And I sent the thing. And I'm like, this could have been us. And then she's like, next year. And I was like, oh, no, I sent it to the wrong person. But I was like, maybe that's manifesting. Because I was like, why did she send this to me?
Starting point is 01:15:03 And I meant to send it to Moses. But then I screened out. I was like, oh, this is like manifesting. It's good. I do love Naras Smith and I love Lucky Smith. So I'm like happy they did it. And that makes sense that they would be modeling skims. But that is a goal for sure.
Starting point is 01:15:15 So there's one location in New York that, um, coming to New York is only one thing that I really wanted to see. And I get to see it. And you can't like plan it. Do you know the carpet man? Oh my God. Yes, I do. You do?
Starting point is 01:15:30 I do. Have you ever come across it? Not that I'm aware of, but probably like. What is it? So in New York, there's two carpet men. Oh, there's a good one. There's a good one and the bad one. Inside you, there are two carpet men.
Starting point is 01:15:47 So basically, we were walking back because you had to go to do your show. We were walking back from the blue exhibit on the street. And then we came across. crossed the bad carpet man oh no you you countered him well he was in the carpet we walked oh okay yeah so basically what this guy would do is he's he's been doing this for there's pictures of him from 2011 doing this so and he's he's like a trust fund man he's an older man oh my gosh and he has money and he's not homeless even and that's all he does he will wrap himself in a carpet on the street and he will do it in like a bottleneck place where you have no choice but
Starting point is 01:16:24 walk on him. Yeah. And that's what his thing is. Well, at first I'm like, so I'm going and I'm like, wait a man, this is like so awkward because it's like construction and there's so many things happening. And suddenly before you know, it's like, what is this thing? You've got to go over it. And then I realized, wait a minute, this is the carpet man.
Starting point is 01:16:44 So it's like, because he would also puff it up really high. So you have no choice by step on it because he can't like walk over it. Is that his like fetish we stepped on? I think it's something. I mean, yeah, he wants to be stepped up. stepped on. So whatever feeling he gets from it, I don't know, but that's his thing. And he gets angry if people film him if they catch him actually out of the carpet. I've never seen out of the carpet. I'll send you for a B-roll idea. I didn't know about this until very recently from TikTok. And then I'm
Starting point is 01:17:12 like trying to go through my mind of like every time I could have possibly like did I. I don't think I've ever stepped on. But I'm like, I mean, I feel like I've definitely stepped over stuff. New York. is always fixing something. I don't know. I feel like it's usually in places with scaffolding too. So like you can't walk. You have to walk. That's why you consider one of the bad guys because he's doing this without you knowing.
Starting point is 01:17:37 The other one, I think Georgia, he does it where you know what it's about. There's signs and there's things and this is what he's about. And people do it knowingly. And he's nice about it. I'm not stepping on anyone for free. That's right. Got to pay me for that. So we're walking
Starting point is 01:17:54 Then I look back And I see Oh my God Oh this is your footage Yeah And there were other people That knew about it Ew
Starting point is 01:18:02 See that's How do they know That's just not someone unhoused How are they know Why are they Well because he's been doing this Since 2011 People came across him
Starting point is 01:18:11 I mean That seems You see his face or no No he's just in there Oh my I hate that so much Like I don't Just imagining like
Starting point is 01:18:22 under the carpet giggling the whole time. Yeah. Oh my God. Yeah. No. Yeah. No, when he's out of it, he looks like, I don't know. But he's like wearing like a jacket and everything. I knew about it like a long time ago on TikTok and it was one of my hot topics that we never talked about. And then suddenly I'm walking in New York.
Starting point is 01:18:42 I'm like, oh my God. Oh my gosh. I would backtrack go across the street something. Some people do. Some people avoid him. That gives me the other hot topic everyone wanted us to. talk about. It's kind of old now, I guess.
Starting point is 01:18:54 I was going to talk about it last time, but I was like, I don't know. I don't know Hallie Belchelder. Do you know her? She was on Caller Daddy, and she was talking about how it gives her the ick when guys ask her to use condoms. You didn't see this clip anywhere? No. She was on Collar Daddy like a week or two ago, I guess now, maybe like two weeks.
Starting point is 01:19:13 And she was saying like two different instances, guys would ask her like, okay, I'm like, should we wear a condom? She's like, oh, like, why would you do that? And then she was like, and this is like on Collar Daddy, right? It's like so crazy. And then she's like, you know, I'm like not, I'm not going to get pregnant. I'm not trying to have a baby or something like that. And she goes, immediately killed the mood.
Starting point is 01:19:29 She goes as soon as they tried to like do a condom, she could kill the mood instantly and just like wasn't into it anymore. And I was like, okay, I didn't want to talk about it first because I was like, well, whatever. And then she doubled down. She like did an apology, I guess. And she's like, I'm not sorry. It does give me the ick. Like, why would? So people were like, the only reason is because people were asking to talk about it.
Starting point is 01:19:49 And I was like, well, look, I have been notorious to be like, yeah. I agree. In the past where I'm like, yeah, condom's like, and it's so funny a girl saying it because like guys will usually say it because they don't want to wear one. But it's interesting to hear a girl say it because I've always said that too. I'm like, yeah, well, condoms like are not like the funnest or whatever. However, I feel like she seems like a lot younger. So I feel like someone now that's been 37 and been through it a lot without condoms.
Starting point is 01:20:14 Besides the pregnancy part, obviously, okay, yes, that's the STDs are crazy. So let me just tell you as someone who has gotten clear. Lomidia and gonorrhea, literally, it definitely like twice severe cases, but probably 100 times not even knowing, right? When I was in my early 20s, I was like never getting tested, which I feel like you should be testing if you're sexually active, but especially if you're not wearing condoms, which was like me because I was like a dumb ass, especially like just random hookups too. I think that's like a wild thing because so many people don't know either.
Starting point is 01:20:48 Like it's one thing to be like, well, I know this person they want a lot of people don't know. A lot of people don't get tested. A lot of times, like, diseases can go undetectable. Like, that's another thing, too. So it's such a crazy thing. And it's like, yeah, you can get medication for herpes or HIV. Yes, if you get it, that's like, you get medication. You can still live.
Starting point is 01:21:05 But it can, like, F up your entire reproductive. Like, my issue with fertility was, like, literally I had chlamydia for, like, a year that was untreated. And I was having sex with, like, 50 people during that time when I did not know that I had chlamydia. And so obviously just that alone can tell you, it's like, going everywhere. And then when I did find out, I was like, because I was like, it was, I was showing no symptoms. And guys, too, like, don't really have a lot of symptoms with, like, clemody and gonorrhea. But, like, all of a sudden, like, it did. I started, like, it felt like burning something. They gave me this, like, giant red pill that, like, was awful.
Starting point is 01:21:36 But it, like, scarred my tubes. Like, it scarred my tubes for so long, which is why I had trouble getting pregnant, which is why we did the HSG test, which, like, clears your tubes out and stuff like that. So a PSA, because I had seen so many people talking about it, and it was, like, all over my TikTok. It's like, you know, condoms may not be fun. And they, and they, may not be great, but if you are into just casual sex, which like more power to you, we love that too. Thank you so much to kickoff for sponsoring J's episode. Or it should be.
Starting point is 01:24:29 It's about protecting yourself, protecting the other person because you don't know if you have something too. That part. And yeah, I just, I feel like this country we just don't teach about sex at all in general. Like I didn't learn about sex in Catholic school for sure. Really? Nothing. No, like we had like biology class in ninth grade where we're like we learned about the body. But like my health class, we spent it watching, uh, the dark night returns and Avengers. Like not even kidding. Like what? That's crazy. Yeah. Yeah. Ours was like literally like absence. It was literally like the mean girls movie where it was like if you have sex, you'll get pregnant and die. Like that was literally the message. And I didn't even go to Catholic school. I went to public school. I remember them just saying like just obscene. Otherwise like you'll probably get pregnant. So I remember being like so scared of that. And yeah, they were only teaching about. that like you'll probably get pregnant if you have sex not the you might burn when you pee you might have scarred tubes for the rest of your life like it's so insane and like again like it's just like I don't know I think it's like so maybe she was you know I was trying to be real but I learned
Starting point is 01:25:34 about SDs from Degrassi because Emma gets I think gonorrhea or something we talked about this that same girl got syphilis in that lifetime movies that girl was always getting SDDs or that's crazy to be typecasts for that is wild. Yeah, because the movie I saw that she's too young. She got syphilis and she gave it. She was sleeping with like 15 people. So they had to go like to tell all 15 guys she slept with that.
Starting point is 01:25:57 They probably had syphilis too and like everyone was getting syphilis in the school. Plus I don't know. I'll have to like I'll be fact checking again. Yeah. But I think like some of these SDGs are now becoming there's like antibiotic resistant strains and stuff too, which you have to be very careful about. Oh my gosh. Like viruses evolve over time and everything.
Starting point is 01:26:16 Oh my gosh. I feel like it's, I think it's still pretty rare, but you just, you got to protect yourself. It's very important. Yeah, yeah, because it does affect like your immune system. It affects everything. That's, that is scary. Because, yeah, people, I know guys that day, like, just take a pill. It's fine.
Starting point is 01:26:29 Just get a pill. And like, yeah, like, in theory. But then even over time, like how, like, that pill does it work? Like everything. Yeah. And it's not worth it. I think I've had so many health issues when I was, like, sexually active and not wearing condoms.
Starting point is 01:26:42 Like, I just had so many, like, skin and throat and, like, stomach issues, like, just so much. Did they ever do chastity talks at your school? No, probably not because it's public school. What was chastity talks? I remember one time and I remember being, I remember being like, I'm going to be chased because I was just like, yep, nope, I'm not going to have sex with a girl until I'm married because it was gay, but that was like my, that was like a thing I said for like maybe three days. And then I was just like, okay, everybody probably thinks I'm weird.
Starting point is 01:27:14 Wait, really? Were you wearing rings like the Jonas Brothers? No, it was like they had like an assembly and they had these like, we're cool people and we're going to teach you about sex ed through sketches. Yes, we have the sketches come to ours. And like I feel like it's pretty infamous this like analogy of like, it's your wedding day and you decide to wear sneakers. And the groom shows up in these nice. Sometimes the best gifts aren't gifts at all. Their experiences.
Starting point is 01:27:44 journeys, something that unwraps them. This year, help them explore their past with Ancestry DNA. Help them discover where they come from and who they're connected to. Starting point is 01:28:09 Terms apply. Fresh new Nikes and his fiancé show. up in these old beaten up running shoes, which is so, like, disgusting to, like, first of all, like, say, oh, because a woman has had sex with anyone before her husband, like, this is the wedding's like Jane Divergent. Yeah, that's, that is crazy. Oh, my, what an analogy to. It's so crazy to be like.
Starting point is 01:28:33 Why did the girl have to have dirty sneakers? What about the guy? Oh, my gosh. But, yeah, that was to a bunch of seventh and eighth graders instilling this message into our brains is crazy. Even like 2000s, that's crazy because it seems so outdated. But yeah, the fact that there's still people teaching it. Thankfully, all of us, I feel like because like, yes, it was Catholic school, but it was
Starting point is 01:28:54 in the Bronx. It was my high school was completely different. It was a lot more like, we are Catholic. We're going to teach you about like you have to write an essay about how being gay is wrong. Didn't do that. I wrote about how it was cool. And all this other, all the other things that they believe we had to write essays about
Starting point is 01:29:12 our thoughts on. and ridiculous, but I think because it was in the Bronx, it was kind of like, maybe go to church, but like, yeah, yeah, yeah. So we all kind of left out being like, that was cringe. But I was just like, I don't know. Maybe I'll try it just because I was, that was like, so that way nobody would ask me like, do you have any crushes on girls, even though I think everyone in my class was just like, well, Jimmy's the gay kid.
Starting point is 01:29:34 That's so funny. Because on TikTok you see guys too, like, I'm waiting. I'm waiting for God, does that me a wife? And like, again, more power to you if that's your thing for sure. Like, also. I had a teacher in, I don't want to, I'm not going to say his name. I'll bleep it. Okay.
Starting point is 01:29:49 I'll bleep it. Um, but he was, uh, he was gay. And because if you think I sound gay, like, I never said that. Me and Oscar taking the gay test new, new challenger has appeared. Wow. Very gay. Very gay presenting, uh, voice and mannerisms and face. And I can say it.
Starting point is 01:30:12 It's okay. Okay. I have it too. Um, so, uh, he's like, being like, yeah, so we're going to learn about how homosexuality is a sen. And I'm just like, work, Diva. Like he told me it was like, you make a great priest. I was just like, yes, because I was like, I guess because I was like very like when we do presentations and stuff. Like I was very surprisingly like good.
Starting point is 01:30:34 I was very recluse in high school. Yeah. Because I just didn't want like anybody to pay attention to me and call me gay. It was like, I show up, I go to school, talk to my friends, go home and make YouTube videos. Yeah. But he was just like, you make a great priest. And I was just like, I'd rather die. Like, no way.
Starting point is 01:30:50 That's weird. Why would he say that? But he was, he was always just like, yeah, one day when I married J. Lo, and I'm like, divo. Oh, okay. You only say that because you own all of her albums on vinyl and the deluxe CDs. Like, you know, that was crazy. Did he ever come out or was he maybe straight? No.
Starting point is 01:31:08 I've seen some people gay presenting that are like, how's a wife? I'm like, are you sure? For now. I, we, or she's also hiding in, you know, yeah, you know, but I, I remember, so there were like guys that I, uh, what that were gay in my high school that like, uh, I matched with on Tinder like a couple years after graduation and we were just talking about. They were like, yeah, me and like, these other kids were gay and like we'd all hook up and I was just like, where's my invite? Like, yeah, you're like, that was me too. Didn't know what was happening. If I had known there were other gay kids in the school, I would have. There was one that was like out that would talk to me. He was really nice. And, um, yeah. Maybe there was another. I didn't know.
Starting point is 01:31:45 Sorry, right. Oh, no. Yeah, they could have just not known. I don't know. Yeah. I didn't really like, I didn't tell anybody. I was very like private about it. But I was like, damn, would have a formative gay experience.
Starting point is 01:31:59 But, you know, it's okay. But they were like, yeah, I saw, I'm going to believe his name. I saw Mr. That was his name. On, on, I think, Tinder. I think Tinder, searching for guys. He lived his best life after. So I did some research recently and he no long, I don't see him out on the faculty list because I was looking for, I was looking for my guidance counselor from my senior year to like send her like a thank you.
Starting point is 01:32:24 Because it's been like 10 years since I graduated and she really helped me with like my stepmom's abuse and stuff talking my previous stepmom. My new stepmom is amazing. We're singing O'Mary. And yes, I wanted to like see if she still worked at the school and sent her an email being like, thank you so much for being my outlet. but she didn't work there, but neither does Mr. Bleep. Wow. Was he fired for being gay? I don't know, but it was.
Starting point is 01:32:49 I was told after graduation from a teacher of mine who does still work there, so I'm not going to say his name, but he's cool as hell. He was just like, yeah, we have like a morality clause in our like contract with the school. And they basically use it as a way, I guess, to fire people if they just want to get rid of them, if they don't like them. So like, it was saying. Like if they found out that you like were roommates with a woman or like your wife before you got married or something like that. Still? They still have that. In 2015, that was in it. I don't know if they still do, but I feel like they probably do.
Starting point is 01:33:26 Wow. But yeah, I was just like, what? I think this is why like Jesus and God get a bad name because it's like these schools that are like preaching all like God's word. They're like, but also you're going to get fired if you're gay or lived with a woman. It's like. Yeah. Because like when you think of the like my elementary. school was very like, we're just going to learn about the principles of like how you treat other
Starting point is 01:33:47 people. Yeah. Like I feel like every year was the same curriculum of like the golden rule do onto others as you want on to others. Yeah. Ten commandments. Don't kill the neighbors. We learned prayers.
Starting point is 01:33:56 We learned things and we learned like the parts of the mass. So then when we went to church, we know like when to kneel, went to stand and stuff like that. It wasn't until high school that I was just like, oh, we're praying at the beginning of every class eight times a day all in unison. It's a little, my words. My views do not reflect the views of the just church podcast. A little culty.
Starting point is 01:34:17 Yeah. Little crazy. No, I get it. I respect all religions for sure. But I get why there's hate towards the Catholic Church, why there's hate towards the Mormon church even like, Judean. Like there's like, there's like, some people are so extreme. And I love all the religions.
Starting point is 01:34:29 I love like principles of all of it. But then there's like those extremes that people are just like, you know, like the LeBrands talking about like anti-abortion. It's like, okay, you're losing us a little bit because like, anyways. So it's a whole. thing, but yeah, that becomes a whole other topic. Well, we are getting to the ends of our hot topic. Do we want to do a speed round?
Starting point is 01:34:47 Oh, my God. I know. I know we literally have five minutes. Wow. This was great. Britney Spears said she got brain damage from the conservatorship. The Golden Bachelor Gary threatened to hurt his former wife, Teresa. What?
Starting point is 01:35:01 That's crazy to rapid fire. Oh, my God. Yeah, there was some accusations there. I had K-pop Demon Hunters 2, 2029. That was my. That's a good one. I have plenty of time to see the first one still. We're going to wait till 29.
Starting point is 01:35:16 It takes so long. Bring it back. Still really want you to watch Stephen Universe. Comments back me up, please. So those are like 11 minutes of cartoon animation, hand-drawn 2D animation. One episode would take like an entire year to make. That's crazy. Yeah, they would like storyboard the whole thing and write it in like two weeks.
Starting point is 01:35:37 And then like six to seven months later they get like the rough animation back. I'm excited for K-pop doing it. I'm doing a K-pop song next year. Ooh. I'll do the lyric video for it. Do you know Korean? No, but. Oh.
Starting point is 01:35:49 Are you typed it out? Maybe I'll commission someone who does to help me translate. What about Babel? Ooh, yeah, shout out to the sponsor. Start learning about Korean on Babel. I would love. I've been learning Korean singing and that's it. And I know it's kind of three.
Starting point is 01:36:02 Hana dual set net four. Very cool. Yeah. Enter Taekwondo. Moses, rapid fire hot topic. we get maria carrie with a new commercial yeah most time we have got this in the car you had some passion for this one oh people were kind of mad right well it's kind of like her song is all about all i want for christmas is you it's not gifts and materials but then the commercial is all about
Starting point is 01:36:26 the elf which is the worker that is not getting paid enough so he steals some of her gifts and stuff but then she berates him for that and takes it back and so it's like this really weird People say it's like hunger game, you know, let me meet the kind of situation. Very bad. In this climate too where like people literally are not able to get food because especially the government shut down. That part. Oh my gosh.

Starting point is 01:37:23 And yeah, it's a devastating time. This is one of the things that, I mean, multiple things in this world are devastating to me right now. But this is like, no one should have to like go hungry. And the fact that we're putting money elsewhere when we could just be feeding the people in our country makes me. sad and it's actually the most everything so we'd love to help uh so trisha food for you at yahu com and hopefully this world can get back on track but we're running out of time you guys thank you for
